As an avid fanfic consumer I thought I'd share my folder filled with my favorite AO3 Clerith fics that I absolutely adore. These could range from spice but mostly angst and fluff, so make sure you check the tags if there's anything in particular you don't like. All of these works are super well written and have lovely characterizations of Cloud and Aerith. I've taken the liberty to go far back as to 2017 (if i recall correctly) because some of the older fics were absolute GEMS to read, so fascinating to see the change in characterization from pre-Remake and post-remake. But most of these fics are based on Remake and Rebirth.

But I feel like there are other internships and I’ll be working the rest of my life so I should just enjoy the summer. At first I was gonna chose study abroad then I started to reconsider bc I fear that I won’t be good enough in engineering to get another internship in college.

Did it with salad. Basically balanced snake eyes. I started the month with mikanko and then scrapped it for salad + new support. No regrets. Ironically beat most mikankos on the way up cuz i abused fire in damage step.
Matchup wise: snake eyes werent the scariest thing to face. I can match resources with snake eyes and variants. But tear and lab were lowkey rough. lab just loops and poops on salad with stuff like daruma cannon and lovely. while tear just mills their infinite deck for resources. -> main deck evenly. Every time i resolve a 3+ card evenly, i usually won those.
Horus was semi free BUT it depended on the variant. Tear horus was a no go amigo. Combo horus ate nibs for breakfast/ didnt do enough to stop me.
i didnt use the pyro phoenix line cuz i didnt have the rng or URs to get it. But it never came up where i said 'man if i had it, i would have won.' 2 salad traps + 2+ handtraps + prom was usually enough. Also 5600 raging phoenix deterred most otks. I think Its a bm combo for a turn 1 set up and it should be reserved for breaking boards similar to black rose in tenpai
Kaiser colosseum stopped gamma and nib from coming out and was the spicy tech. It should not come back in tcg cuz you can use weasel to lock your opponent from summoning. They lose their bp and main way of killing you.

Maybe I will write this nice and formatted at some point but here it is before I forget.
This was inspired by the reaction to Destiny's tweet that is calling out Frogan's tweet that is reacting to the thumbnail of Stardust's video. (Phew)
So, immediately, I of course look at the comments and retweets of people that disagree with Destiny, and what I see makes me a little sad that people can't really engage with the criticism.
The point of Destiny's tweet is to point out that people that are from Frogan's in-group (I kinda wanna call them "progressives" but idk if that really fits) are held to a different standard than everybody else.
In this case, Frogan's in-group is very likely a group that would come down really hard on perceived misogyny. However, because Frogan is attacking Stardust, who is seen as an enemy, she is basically free to be a giant hypocrite. We've all heard this before.
But, the reactions from detractors are things like "Didn't you say the n word?" "Don't act like you have the moral high ground" "You've said worse" "You promoted deepfake porn, don't act like you care about misogyny" "Advocating for genocide is way worse"
I think you get the idea. I didn't link to anything directly as to not get accused of directing harassment or some dumb shit, but this shit isn't hidden.
Regardless, so from what I can see what seems to be happening is that they think Destiny is offended by this and calling out how offensive it is instead of being like "you have no principles, this is hypocritical".
Same thing with the "gusano" slur. Destiny's criticism is that it's hypocritical to cry about other slurs but greenlight gusano. Destiny isn't saying he is offended by him being called that, he is saying that if people get to call him that, he gets to call people slurs and everyone needs to shut the fuck up because it's the standard THEY are making.
So, basically, it goes a little like:

OS (Other Streamers): Whoa wtf that's misogynistic!

Notice that at no point the audience acknowledges the actual criticism. Nobody addresses the contradiction. Nobody stands against misogyny. They invent a strawman and fight against the strawman, and because, well, the strawman has been defeated, everyone can go home without ever thinking: "Gee, isn't it weird that all the streamers that I like that advocate for certain principles immediately go against their principles when it comes to someone they like?"
Granted, most people wouldn't want to think about it and most people don't have principles themselves.
I don't really know what the point of this is, maybe to find a way to actually put the spotline on how spineless and hypocritical these people are? Maybe find a way to make it more obvious? Who knows. I just think.it's really annoying how easy it is to prop up "Destiny is offended" as a strawman when the actual argument is "You are a spineless shifty unprincipled hack"

I've been wanting to get into 40k for a while, and I like the whole blood angels style with jump pack straight into the fight, swift and aggressive. I've been theory crafting on the battlescribe app for a while. This is what I'm thinking right now.
Please give me some suggestions and criticism. Remember this isn't meant for tournament play, so it doesn't have to be super optimized, but winning is fun too. I definitely want to know if im missing or misunderstanding anything.

Hopefully, lemartes and his contingent of death company can be my wrecking ball with 10str on charge on those power fists to be my primary anti vehicle / monster.
Which leaves Dante and his golden bois to hit whatever is the biggest threat head on. With his +1 to charge, I'm not sure if I want to try to reserve him and attempt a deep strike 8-inch charge. It's probably not ideal to lock him up turn 1 though.
There are some battleline intercessors and aggressors to hold objectives with a lot of troop picks to fill out the field and be flexible to contest secondarys and pretty much the entire plan is to start with the foot on the gas and don't let up.
Let me know what you think. I really do want thoughts, opinions, suggestions, and criticisms. I've already got my death company and lemartes that I started painting. I want to know what changes I should make now before I commit to the rest of the list.

Pie Guy/Dr. Laundry
Matched on The League, 34 years old, requested a nickname change from Pie Guy to Dr. Laundry, he had to cancel their second date because he got hit by a car, went on two dates, Ali sent him a pic of his subway stop saying something along the lines of “the stop isn’t looking as cute today” and turns out someone he dated with in that photo, were supposed to go on a third date the night she got back from a bachelorette party but he didn't answer her text when she said she landed, the next day he asked her how her trip was not acknowledging her previous text at all, Ali expressed her disappointment and he replied that he was tired last night, she said she would've been understanding if he said something then ghosted her
Andddd I stopped listening to the podcast around the Dr. Pie Laundry Guy but have stayed up to date with everything via this sub.
I have a huge interest in dating culture, human behavior and data similar to Ali and this little project of mine was really interesting once I got the framework of this list. I started this list once I found this sub in December 2023 and started re listening to the Patreon while working out (and lost 10 lbs ayeee) and writing down information in my notes app. I did my best to keep this list unbiased and just give facts and information that was said.
My own thoughts after making this list is that I'm very sad for Ali. I didn't realize the extent of her dating history. I think about my own dating history or even my friends who are in their 30's and dating and Ali's dating lore runs so deep. Is Ali unlucky with love? Did she pass on someone that could have been great for her? How has she had so many dates with little success in a long term partner or even going beyond 6-8 dates? Or is Skyline the person she has been waiting for? What's the pattern with all this dates/men? So many questions.
I truly do hope Ali finds her guy because I believe theres someone for everyone. Until then, I'll be hopping into this sub (cause y'all are too funny and give the best advice) and waiting for Ali to find Mr. Height.

Joseph H. Jackson: A Mississippi farm boy who taught himself reading and mathematics, 52 year old Joseph H. Jackson, President of the largest predominantly black church in America, the American Baptist Convention, has emerged as the favorite of former Gitlow ally Billy J. Hargis for his right-wing populist views and claim to be able to win millions of black voters back from President La Follette. Calling to “save the nation, in order to save the individual citizen, and the race," Jackson has focused his attacks on La Follette for violating “civil order,” and extended this critique to opposition protests. Making the radical proposal to not merely denationalize the General Trades Union, but to destroy it entirely, Jackson has called for the severing of diplomatic recognition to all communist nations and international intervention to spread “the liberating power of our federal constitution and the supreme law of the land, the American ideals of freedom and democracy.” However, Jackson has fallen from major candidate status after an investigation by the Labor Department into allegedly abusing unpaid labor at a daycare and using church donations to buy himself a mansion and a sports car.

Breckinridge: The only member of the Liberty League at the fore of presidential consideration, 66 year old New York Congressman Henry Skillman Breckinridge ran alongside Al Capone in 1936 in the campaign that doomed the Commonwealth alliance, but has reinvented his career since by working to ally Federalist and Liberty League causes against La Follette and serving as the organization’s House leader. Advocating a heavily internationalist vision in line somewhere between that of Cooper and Luce, Breckinridge’s commitment to small government classical liberalism and a strict construction of the constitution has made him the favorite of Liberty League loyalists and some party conservatives. However, content with retirement, the writing of her memoirs, and the promotion of Nixon’s career, Roosevelt has categorically refused to seek the presidency. Nonetheless, she is expected to receive votes on the convention’s opening ballot from admirers.
Benjamin Muse: 54 year old former Virginia Governor Benjamin Muse won an upset victory in 1945 to be elected Governor against the campaigning of President La Follette. An establishment Federalist and charismatic writer, Muse received significant support as a candidate but has declined to contest the convention and worked to promote the nomination of Clare Boothe Luce after a meeting with Henry Luce.

Gross: 53 year old Iowa Governor and 1948 Progressive vice presidential nominee Harold Royce Gross has gained renown for his steadfast economic conservatism, vetoing every proposed state budget increase throughout his tenure and calling for a complete end to foreign aid in addition to the dismantling of the New State; avoiding moral arguments, Gross has opposed atomic bombings and war on the grounds that both are too financially costly. A hero of the party right, Gross has declined to seek the presidency himself, citing his refusal to attend fundraising parties rather than watch Iowa football games, and is expected to support Pappy O’Daniel or Jim Rhodes on the convention floor.

Didn't think I would be on reddit but looking for i guess public random help? If I ATA then I will accept it.
I am having issues with my girlfriend and was hoping within the next 10 days to pop the question, and as shitty as it is, she is bringing up and point of view in our relationship I do not agree with in any capacity.
We have known eachother 9 years, Started dating almost 3 years ago. I had strong reservations about this relationship even beginning because I had gotten out of something bad a year prior and she had gotten out fo a 5 year relationship before getting with me.
This is a rare and only time where the girl was asking me out and I was saying no. I had started to learn about boundaries and mental health and it felt like at that moment I could not handle any form of a relationship. She forgets to tell anyone in this story how the longest she has been in single is 6 months and basically hopped from relationship to relationship.
I had told her she needs to spend a year or more figuring out what she wants in life for herself and who she is outside of a relationship because it sounded like a person with no path or direction.
I will admit I was weak and definitely like her, come to find out we liked eachother when we first met it was just bad timing. The only reason I asked her out is because all my friends said we looked and seemed perfect together and they hadn't seen me that happy in a long time.
So far we have had it good, and of coure some fights, but if I am being fair her last few relationships have been very abusive and non loving and the abuse goes all the way back to her family as well. So after my many failings I learned how to, not lash out or scream or make instant judgements or start a argument with texts, I have learned a lot from my own short comings and it feels she is where I was years ago. When we fight 80% of her arguments come from a topic that isn't even the issue and that fights feel like , I made her hurt or upset so she is gonna hurt me the same if not worse...
An issue I was warned about when I started dating, was after I inherited some money. I had been told by most of my family that dating financially below me could be tough because they might always see the comparison. And in a couple relationships it has been thrown in my face. Its not great, but it was given to me and I know that isn't fair. I would say I spend most of my money on my friends or significant other well being, not to buy them, but gift giving is a strong love language and I guess I always felt guilty I did nothing to have this money.
The recent conversation has been about her making more money versus me. I stopped working about 6 years ago to try and get into home investments and real estate stuff, I got tired of not being promoted when I showed up early, stayed late kind of crap then being asked to do 100 tasks not in my job description, but the actual on paper description of the person who got promoted over me and was not doing. I don't mind working hard or even for free, but if on paper I meet qualifications and the person promoted doesn't, then I have a problem.
This is her first consistent job that pays okay and has benefits. She job hops year after year and when looking for jobs they want some form of loyalty more than 1 year and she keeps wanting to go back to a bar job downtown that when she first had it was making bank, like 1800.00 every weekend only two days of work, but then when every bar opened up downtown post covid her weekend pay was now like 1200, then 1000, then 900. Not to mention tons of shootings and scary phone calls I would get at 3 AM. So we made a deal if for the next three months the paycheck wouldn't increase beyond 1000 she would quit and not go back... So I have supported her through multiple jobs and quittings and her trying to start her own baking business that she tanked because anytime I set a price for her baked goods, she would give a massive discount and not breakeven... I have even done 24hr straight baking sessions to get massive orders to clients in which killed our oven that I had to fix. I just wish she'd stay somehwere for a while and build a resume that works. I know our whole country is fucked financially and the average survival salary of our state is 100k,.. I already cover everything and pay for everything else...
I have been doing the real estate investing on mostly my own, and obviously it is not going well, trying to be ethical and moral and in the housing market seems like an oxymoron. I still have more money than she brings in and I am working on my real estate license, but I bought the house, take care of her, our dogs, mow the lawn, help out with her family of 9, fix our appliances, take care of her indoor plants, gave her a garden for outside that I also maintain, cook dinner or buy dates most of the time, pay for trips, her dogs surgeries etc, She is saying I need to make even more money so she can take it easy and stop working as much... But she has complained multiple times about wanting to help out around the house mroe and with payments... Idk how she can help if she is gonna take an inconsistent paycheck, and have no benefits of any kind and drive farther...
Am I slacking as her man and better half or is she not stepping up to the plate and doing her share?

Government Internship for rising college freshman: Engineering internship at an Air Force Base w/ a college prep element. 1st & 2nd years do college/ life prep & engineering. 3rd & 4th years are placed on a team.
Pros • If I stay in the program, they will most likely offer a job (main purpose of program) • Guaranteed internship throughout college if I keep a 3.0 GPA • I’ll make around 6,000 (Salaried 30k+) • Salary increases every summer • College prep themes every week: guest speakers in industry, mentors, life lessons, “college hacks”, etc. • Project-based learning assignments: Learn coding in python (currently a beginner), build & program hardware, etc. • Can use all base amenities • Head start to learn Computer Engr & mentorship as first gen low income • Tangible benefits: money, engineering skills, career advancement, etc. • Long term advancements
Cons • Would be giving up other summer opportunities • If I decide I don’t want to do it anymore, I’ll regret not doing NSLI-Y Indonesian summer • Won’t be able to apply until sophomore year & the college prep isn’t included • If I get the post college job, I’ll have to move back near my hometown
I’m really conflicted on what to chose because I really love to travel, and I feel like going on the study abroad will be really beneficial to me. Though a lot of people have told me it would be stupid to pass up this internship because there are so many other study abroad opportunities. But I feel like there are other internships and I’ll be working the rest of my life so I should just enjoy the summer. At first I was gonna chose study abroad then I started to reconsider bc I fear that I won’t be good enough in engineering to get another internship in college.
So would I be “stupid” to pass up this internship for the study abroad?
