Hello Everybody.
So a bit of a background, last year, February 2023, my ex-partner (29F) decided to end our 3.5 year long-distance relationship.
Since then, we stayed in contact, and we both supported each other regarding her decision. At the time, I (29M) was made to believe that it was that she could not handle the distance anymore, and she needed time in Solitude.
Slowly slowly, until yesterday, the relationship, and I, matured into a dynamic were I was making peace regarding her actions, and trying my best to look forward on how to develop the current relationship as it is, to its new direction.
But yesterday, I have doubts, about everything. My ex-partner decided to tell me an important information, as she believed that if this current relationship can develop, she had to bring it out of her chest.
She disclosed that she cheated on me, twice. The first time in 2021, and the second the last month of our relationship. The first time she was drunk, and it was a 1 time affair. The second time she was actually seeing somebody as she had a connection with them.
As you can imagine, this information me, shattered me into a million pieces again. I feel all the progress I did to griev and cope from the breakup, is starting over into a deeper cravice of dispair.
All the love and purity I felt during a relationship, feels like a lie. Feels fake, feels unpure. I thought the relationship was pure, and it simply could not go on cause of the distance. But now, knowing that she cheated on me, twice, how can I cope from this?
I understand the love that was there, was pure, and she did, and does care about me. But for someone to cheat on me, and not my some one-time accidental affair, but the last one? In December 2022, she visited for the holidays, and said that she was confused, and needed some distance, to be in her solitude. My issue is that, I still love her. And I know she still loves me, as the love is unconditional. But now, this love, has become so bitter, I don’t know how to remove this venom, to return to my inner peace. I want to forgive her, for my peace, and understanding the human condition. But trusting her? After all of we went through?

Don't get me wrong , I love Adeyemi. He played well , but I feel if Malen or JBG started, he could have come on around the 70th and use the tired defense to his advantage, meaning he wouldn't have to run as fast , and he'd have more time to think. He was really unlucky not to score in the first half , and I hope he uses this as motivation for next season. Who knows , maybe the new format will work really well for us, and we can kick off this new era of European football with a famous run , or maybe even come home with the trophy. Perhaps Madrid won't be Kings of Europe anymore, but this is all cope , as they still have the funds and prestige to bring in players and bribe referees.
Also, whilst Reus didn't get a great sendoff , we can hopefully give one to Mats next season if he doesn't decide to leave this summer . I hope the number 11 is retired at the club , and I hope there is a statue made of Marco , or maybe a special kit dedicated to him next season , as we somehow always find an excuse to make a special kit.

I met my partner online almost two years ago but stayed friends until we started dating March 23. Of the two he definitely pursued me but I did do some light flirting, as is my nature - he was very keen. He told me he used to be an alcoholic and smoked /vaped (both things he had told me he never did - not that I have a problem with that, he had just lied) he told me he had massive debts due to his ex making him pay for everything and promising to pay him back but she never did, he told me that because of the two kids he had with his ex as a teen (that were given up for adoption but she kept in contact with the mum) - that I knew existed - he didn't break up with his ex in the august, he broke up with her in late February but continued to sext for a few months because she said if he did that he could see the kids. He said that she was highly abusive to him in every form and that's why he didn't believe our relationship was real - that he was just a rebound.
I felt like the person looking at me wasn't the person I had proposed to. I had trouble telling friends and family we were engaged. I was trying to process, but then my family member died, and my friend died, and my manager at work started bullying me, and two loved ones were sick and rushed to hospital, and all of a sudden my life was in turmoil. He stayed with me through it all, has given me space and allowed me to be myself, but something isn't sitting right with me. I haven't shown him affection in a month, I haven't said I love you in weeks, and I'm refusing to wear the ring he got for me.

If I break up with him and kick him out he has no where to live and no friends or family that would take him, he's also got life changing surgery within the next 3 months which would need a long recovery... I feel really lost and confused. Do I give him a chance? Is he telling the truth that I'm his number one now?

so, I'm gonna explain everything in extreme detail. as much as i can. everywhere i tried to learn how to play from confused me so much so i tried to explain it all to make it the LEAST confusing. it's just going to be a long explanation and I'm so sorry for that. shorter explanation at the very bottom.
first thing to know is: the game itself is very simple. you get all of your stacks to 21-26 before the other player does and trying to stop them from doing so. essentially is a simple math game with strategy.
second: you need at least 30 cards in your caravan deck. you don't have to have exactly 30 but you can't have 29 or less. gotta have at least 30.
those are the first two things you need to know.
so, now onto what do all of the cards mean in the game? ace thru 10, just means 1-10. that simple the special cards mean something entirely different they do not mean numbers. as in the king, queen, jack and joker. these go on top of numbers and effect what the original card does.
kings go on top of a number and double the number. another king stacked on that king doubles it again. so, a 9 would turn into 18, and then another king with that would make it 36. you can apply this on your own cards too.
I'm gonna skip over queens and go to jacks. jacks when added onto a card take that card out of the stack. if you stack it on a card that has 1 or more kings it will take those kings and the number away. so without the king there it just takes the number card away. either way, the number disappears. this can be applied on your own cards too.
jokers go on top of a suit you want to get rid of. and it gets rid of any of them on the table including your own. so on top of a diamond it gets rid of all diamonds on the table. queens can counteract the joker by bringing back the suit. I'm not sure exactly what else it does or if that specific thing is correct, i don't use queens personally.
so, now we have a basic understanding of the cards and their meanings plus the general idea of what you need to do going into it. there is more, but i'll get into that as i go on.
when you boot up caravan with an npc like ringo in the beginning of the game, it'll take you to the first screen which is placing a bet. if you aren't used to playing, keep it low. but you can always do an equal bet, which is just matching their bet. you can raise the amount if you wanna drain them more of their caps but that is up to you my friend.
after you place your bet, itll take you to the next screen. a group of all your cards, one row on top and one on the bottom. one showing the backs of the cards, and one showing the front. so, this is where you either add or remove cards. remember have at least 30. the higher the number of cards in your caravan deck the better though it makes you less likely to run out of cards. if you run out you lose the game and your caps. so, the best numbers to store in your caravan deck are higher numbers. like 5 and above. specifically 10s, 9s, and 7s. "why this exact combination, op?" because it makes 26! so you should stock up on these cards where do you get cards? from specific vendors around the mojave wasteland, if I'm able to edit to add later which vendors i know of that sell cards i will. if not ill make sure i comment. you can only get them in the main menu of their vendor screen, not in misc not in apparel not in aid nowhere else. so you'll have fun scrolling through the entire menu of their shop lol other cards to stock up on? jacks and kings. these are so so so important!!
when buying cards, make sure you do not have any cards that are the exact same from the same place. you can have the same number and suit, that is okay. but not from the same place. that is illegal in the game. so this is an example: a 4 of hearts from gomorrah and a 4 of hearts from tops are completely different than two separate 4 of hearts from tops. make sense?
now onto the strategy part of the strategy math card game that is caravan...
so, i don't use queens or jokers cuz they are pretty irrelevant to the game and no npc i've ever played against has used them against me. the jokers can fuck you over and the queens themselves are just so confusing to me I'm still not entirely sure if i have it down what they do.
the beginning of the game starts off with you putting down your first 3 cards and you cannot proceed to stack on top of the first cards until you complete this task. you do not have to follow strict rules with what card you start off with. some people say only start off with 10s, that is simply not necessary. if you remove/discard cards out of your hand they cannot be played for the rest of that game of caravan. discarding cards after your first three cards are placed will end your turn and go to the npc to play a card. just start off with whatever is helpful in that moment for those first three cards. i go with the biggest numbers i can, whatever is in my hand. once the three cards are placed on the table, sometimes the npc will put a jack on one of your cards and that's just part of the strategy. don't fret. you will get your revenge.
focus on building your stacks while simultaneously stopping them from building theirs. i personally like to be petty and stack a jack on one of their cards almost immediately after they do it to me. when stacking your numbers stack in numerical order. smallest to biggest or biggest to smallest. it's what works. you cannot stack the same number in the same stack. it's pretty cool to stack the same suits together but not required. I'm pretty sure you can break the big to small and small to big process if you stick to the same suit. i can't remember off the top of my head right now but in my tired state it sounds right at the moment.
you use jacks when you don't have your own card to play, jacks are used throughout the game on the npc and yourself. if you don't have any cards in your hand that can directly add to your stack, try to destroy their abilities to build their stacks. that's why you stock up on the kings and jacks. they can ruin the npc's game. you use kings on the npc when they are close to achieving 21-26. do anything to put them above 26 and if they add a jack to the king you placed, make it so when they do that it puts them the furthest they can be from building back up to that stack. as in, put a king on the highest number they have in that stack <3 if you want to add a king to your own stack to make it easier to get to 21-26, be wary npcs might just decide to use one of their kings against your king. it's very rude but they do this sometimes. like i said before don't fret. their karma will be their pockets drained.
so, you don't always have to do the 10, 9, 7 method. you can also do king, 5, 6 method. you stack kings on the 5 to get it to 20 and then add a 6. bada boom. but relying on this might not help if you don't have enough kings OR if they decide to be a douche and add another king on yours making it 46 instead of just 26. find a method that works best for you, but you don't HAVE to stick to this method or any method! you can switch it up and figure out what is easiest for you. like have one 10, 9, 7 stack and then another stack is 5, 8, 10 and another stack is ace, 5, 9, 10. that's one little idea. it isn't something you need to stick to!!
just keep them on their toes. use these methods to your advantage. make sure you are building your stacks and getting to 21-26 before them.
so far, no-bark in novac is yes a crazy man who somehow spits facts he is a high better and so is the ambassador at the ncr embassy on the strip. still trying to find even more high betters.
condensed ways to win caravan: •you need 21-26 to win. if you get above 26 you have to fix that stack or discard it. closer to 26 the better •keep higher numbers in caravan deck •caravan deck=the cards you're playing in the game •stock up on good cards but not doubles of the same card from the same place •remove any cards you won't use from caravan deck before fully playing the game with npc •build your stacks while you destroy theirs •ace-10 = 1-10 nothing special about them they're just numbers •jacks=removes card(s) •kings=double card(s) •jokers/queens=unnecessary. not needed. confusing and self destructive. •go in numerical order, keeping suit may break this rule. bigger to smaller, smaller to bigger otherwise •use jacks throughout game •only use kings on them to make them go above 26 •use kings wisely on yourself they may stack a king on yours to fuck you up •if they stacked a king on your stuff remove it with a jack whenever throughout game. avoid discarding the entire stack completely •no numbers or kings/jacks to play on your own stacks in your hand? stack jacks/kings on their stuff instead •try not to discard stacks OR cards from your hand you won't be able to use them for that specific game after you discard •buying cards takes place in the main menu of certain vendor's shops, nowhere else. not aid/apparel/weapons/misc. only main. •no-bark in novac: high better •ambassador at ncr embassy on strip: even higher better •more cards in your caravan deck the better, if you run out of cards to play you will automatically forfeit your caps. •10, 9, 7 method=recommended not required •5s with 2 kings then 6 method=not exactly recommended so tread lightly

I am interested in a certain concept, that I don't know if it exists yet in a functional form.
I have a design issue that maybe doesn't even exists and I am just too deep in my head. But let's try :)
The thing I talk about is exploration, but not the way hexcrawls/sandboxes work, but more along the lines of finding "secrets".
The concept is similar to games like dark souls with its illusory walls or even hidden quests and places that are specifically designed only to be found by a few. There are certainly many more games like that.
The important thing in this system seems to be that the exploration is not a random table but a meaningful pre-designed secrets. That way, finding them is meaningful to the players. However the "finding" aspect is what's seems to be hard for me. In video games players hit every wall to see if it is illusory. In ttrpgs the narration of the game master is the only way to find hints that something could be "off" and could be interesting to explore. However, being too on the nose make finding the secret not rewarding, being to subtle...well we all know that problem form detective games. That was the main reason for gumshoe games: to solve the problem of missing clues.
So I think we are a bit between a rock and a hard place here: The game master seems to be the only adequate source of clues for secrets in the world (hidden rooms and so on), but will certainly struggle with how subtle the clues for those can be.
In addition, there maybe should be a system for how to identify clues correctly.
In the end it is maybe really only a question of how to narrate clues in a exciting and rewarding way, maybe you know a system for finding secrets.
For it to be rewarding in the end there needs to be a meaningful player choice that leads to discovery. Those choices get meaningful by being not too obvious but also not so opaque that players Fall into the "I hit every wall to see if it is illusory" behavior pattern.

Hi guys, I met this guy because we worked together. He was about 10 years older than me, so when I turned 18, he was 28. We had known each other for a couple months before I turned 18, but we didn’t talk much. When he found out that I turned 18, we started becoming a lot closer and hanging out outside of work. After a couple of times hanging out and flirting, someone at work mentioned how he was married. He immediately turned red. But now I’m having a hard time forgiving myself for this. im so disgusted and disappointed with myself. Having sobbed for the first time in 2yrs. I was doing fine. Watching TV. And the scene in avatar where Iroh is in Ba Sing Se and sings to his son came on. Id never seen it before and thought it was touching so I looked it up on YouTube because I wasn't paying attention for half of it. It tickled something in me. I was just going to go to bed but. I needed to touch her urn. So I did. And then I hugged it and then I lost it. I found some grief music to fill the silence and I lost it. I hugged the urn. Kissed it. Damn it, I miss her like hell. I talked to her urn. Told her all the things I miss. Told her to come back. Got angry. Told her all the things she was supposed to do, all the people she was supposed to meet. Apologized for a million things. Hugged the urn tight again. Need to go wipe my face off. My nose is running like a gotdanged faucet but. I just can't get up. Part of me wants to take her with me while I get up and clean up. Part of me thinks I should put her back in her spot because I can't hold on forever and it's a way to symbolize that so my brain can understand it. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't such a gruesome death. I mean. She drowned on her own saliva because we turned her over like the hospice nurse said. Except the hospice nurse didn't say it would make her die faster, or that she was getting annoyed at having to constantly rework her schedule because my grandma had end stage COPD and stayed alive thru sheer will. She was supposed to die days earlier but even when the oxygen tank was doing nothing for her, she continued gasping day in and day out because she wasn't ready and if she was going to die it would be on her own terms. It was what was best but goddamn it it was so horrible. And the worst part is I wasn't even in the room when she went. I was her favorite person and I wasn't there. I went to go put the dog outside so she wouldn't get on the bed with her. And I walked back in and everyone was standing around her and my cousin said to me "you know she's passed, right?" And I had a touching moment with my grandpa where he kissed her forehead, pulled the sheet up, and I hugged him. It was the only death I've ever gotten closure on. But it's the one that hurts the worst. Crazy how these things work out. God damnit it miss her. S'damn much. 64. She would've turned 65. She would've been married 45 years. Just wish she could be here with me today. I should really take her to see her brother. Just wish he were alive too. But. Wishes are for Disney movies. In the meantime, I need to go blow my nose and get whatever sleep I can before 6am.

My (24F) ex boyfriend (25M) and I met on Hinge in March. We became very close in the span of two weeks after our first date. After becoming official at the end of March, he decided two weeks later that he was not ready for a relationship and needed time to focus on himself spiritually, physically, financially, etc. He has asked to write letters, but we have texted and called here and there.
This concept ruined me. I was upset, confused, lost, because I did allow the honeymoon phase to affect my feelings and quickly said I love you. He reciprocated. I am still angry at him.
I am not asking for criticism about our relationship, how fast things have happened, etc. My parents are the issue here. The night he met my father, was the day he would break things off (until he could read the Bible front to back and “when life is back in normal standing”).
My mother and father forbid me to see him. My mother is far more unsupportive and wants to weigh-in. She has threatened to take my car keys. He lives in the twin cities with an extreme crime rate. I would not dare drive to his apartment anyways.
My mother is a thorn in my side. Every time I bring up letters (he’s written 3; 2 emails) she gives me a look like I’m crazy. I have avoided talking about him at all costs. For some context, my mom and I have always clashed, she is not supportive as I am Christian and she is an atheist.
He has promised to rekindle in the beginning of July after his move (where he lives is not safe and too expensive).
Help. I live with my mother so my independence is not fully there. I have never wanted to listen to her and even more so now. I crave independence.
Her anger may have rubbed off on me for a time, but I love my ex and I don’t see him the way she does. I cannot see myself with anyone else as he is my first real relationship. He has too many responsibilities in June which is why I can see him and I’m glad for more time apart after thinking about it because we truly were obsessed and rushing into things. We will set boundaries once we reconnect.

So I took a break from heartland when Ty died and I am just now getting back into it. Am I the only one who can not stand Lou. Not just now, I don't think I could ever stand her. Whereas Amy is 100% her moms daughter, Lou is 100% Tims daughter. She doesn't listen to anyone she only cares about work and herself and it has been that way since episode one. When Amy and their mom got into that accident all Lou could think about was getting back to NYC. Sure you can argue that that was a coping mechanism because her mom dies but she continues to be like that with the Book she wrote then the Maggie franchise then Dude ranch and now being the mayor, which by the way she is awful at. Yes I get that she is new to the whole politics thing but the mistakes she is making are things that were understandable in the beginning of her run but she is a year into being the mayor and she doesn't listen to anyone especially her freaking assistant, who is annoying but has very valid points. All she complains about is how no one is there for her and how no one is understands what she's going through all while her sister is dealing with losing her husband raising a little girl that doesn't know why daddy is gone and having her mother in law show up out of the blue after ghosting her for a year. She doesn't care at all. Amy is trying to talk to her but she just cares about herself.
Sorry rant over, I'm just at the episode with the train explosion and her decision making and blatantly ignoring what people are saying is killing me.

i learned somewhere that word order for a statement sentence (whatever you wanna call it) goes "Subject, Verb, time, manner, place", and also that subject and time are interchangable. but, whilst on duolingo (im still starting out speaking), i saw this: "Der Mann ist hier Kellner". And I thought to myself "does this align with my syntax learning sources?", aka I was confused. I don't know if this aligns with the SVTMP rule the source said. am I missing something? If that's not true syntax/word order for German, pls say what it is in the replies. if I'm wrong in any way, please tell me.
