2021.02.07 04:19 Filthy-101 Visio isometric grid

Hello all,
I'm new to reddit and just downloaded visio. Does anyone know if there's a isometric grid template for use in creating piping isometrics. I'm building one from scratch but it just seems like there should be one already in the software.

2016.11.30 12:24 DrAtomic1 Visio 2016: Still no Isometric grids and connectors?

I''m getting my feet wet with Visio 2016, some sweet features however it seems that there is still no native Isometric grid, Isometric connectors and circle tekst natively?
Yes I understand that different gradients can be used etc however I simply want an isometric mode that sets both my grid and my connectors. I.e. Set Isometric to 30 degrees or 1:2 and have all tools be like that too; set it back to 2D and both grid and connectors switch back to 2D.
Meh... :(

2015.11.01 08:44 zarathustar Network Diagram WIP - Recommendations?

Hi all,
After struggling with Visio a bit, I've started an isometric network diagram of my homelab here. I'll most likely follow some of the suggestions on networkdiagram101.com, particularly with adding labelling, etc. I also plan on attempting to add host names, IP addresses (for servers and router interfaces). Hopefully the diagram won't look too busy. At the very least if required, I can bunch up the two coloured VLAN rectangles a bit to provide more room.
I'm after some feedback if possible on what could be added or improved.
The trickiest part is that my pfSense firewall, 2012 server and NAS are all VMs running on a Proxmox host. Should I somehow represent this on the diagram? Perhaps a somewhat transparent rectangle or circle that encompasses these with a callout indicating they are virtualised? I would like to do a separate diagram at one point showing L2 stuff (physical switch, virtual switch, link aggregation etc) -- so maybe I should handle this separately.
Should I show any distinction between physical and virtual? What about my server's iLO interface or general management interfaces (like my physical switch's web interface)?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated. The red VLAN is looking a bit empty, but I do have one or two VMs on another physical host I can add there soon. At the moment, it's very much just a work in progress.
Thanks!
