Tenía una portada naranja y creo recordar que era como acolchada, el libro contenía diversas historias de miedo. Estaba ilustrada cada página, pero aún así tenía bastante texto, las páginas no eran como las de un libro normal (eran satinadas como los libros de texto). Contenía clásicos como Sleepy Hollow, pero me acuerdo en particular de dos historias:

1. Un hombre (quizás con su mujer) se muda a una iglesia donde, en el ático, habían dos estatuas de unos soldados. A lo largo de su estancia, el protagonista se da cuenta de que las estatuas se mueven y vive aterrorizado.
   
2. El señor medianoche. Es la historia que mejor recuerdo, te cuenta como ese peso que sientes en los pies a veces cuando te vas a dormir es el señor medianoche. Se cuela por las rendijas y huecos de tu habitación, y con una luz se acerca a tu cara para ver si estás dormido. Si abres los ojos cuando él está, te devora.

So I see this point being made constantly by political commentators in the West (that support Israel) as well as by spokespeople for the IDF/Israeli government. It's a statement that gets repeated a lot without any real explanation
So what are these unprecedented steps?
According to John Spencer, a military analyst (with an undeniable pro-israel bias) there are 3 reasons he makes this claim:

1. Warning civilians in advance through leaflets and texts 2. Using appropriate munitions based on the the value of a military target and potential collateral 3. The use of precision guided munitions (PGMs).

I'll briefly get into the other two but I want to focus on the first because this often the explanation that is repeated the most (in my experience) when explaining how Israel has taken "unprecedented steps to prevent civilian deaths"
Firstly, warning civilians before an attack is just International Law. It doesn't always happen but it's not something to brag about:
The requirement to give, in certain circumstances, advance warning prior to an attack that may affect the civilian population appears in the earliest codifications of the law governing the conduct of hostilities. Thus, we find the following instruction in Article 19 of the Lieber Code of 1862: Commanders, whenever admissible, inform the enemy of their intention to bombard a place, so that the noncombatants, and especially the women and children, may be removed before the bombardment commences. But it is no infraction of the common law of war to omit thus to inform the enemy. Surprise may be a necessity.
This was even was fairly common in the second world war (with the allies at least) and the US even dropped leaflets over Japan before bombing areas of Japan to warn civilians (including Hiroshima and Nagasaki). So this is not unprecedented by any means and has been a fairly standard practice for almost a century.
In fact I actually laugh when people make this argument because literal Mexican cartels have warned civilians with leaflets before attacks:

But international law doesn't always mean you have to tell civilians before attacks?
In some circumstances it may be justified to not warn civilians before attacks if it's strategically necessary. But Israel seems to not warn civilians before strikes as well, the IDF only warns civilians before it invades entire areas. The IDF also tends to bomb civilians during the evacuation process; in fact in Rafah (and many other cases, this is just the most recent), the IDF bombed Rafah for days before giving evacuation plan. Another example of the IDF not warning civilians before a strike (for possibly 'tactical reasons'), the IDF certainly did not warn civilians before striking Al Mawassi, which Israel claims is the designated safe zone.

What would actually be a valuable method of preventing civilian deaths is having genuine safe zones. Al Mawasi isn't a suitable safe zone in terms of size, living conditions and environment (https://youtu.be/Yi4srzVBeDk?t=76) but most importantly the IDF still has attacked the 'safe zone' so its not a safe zone in any real terms.
Doesn't warning civilians in advance put the IDF at a tactical disadvantage?
Yes, this is true but it has also been used as an excuse to kill anyone left in the areas that civilians have been told to evacuate. IDF sources have reported that areas were designated as kill zones (that were unspecified to civilians) meaning that anyone who stepped foot in them was considered a combatant (maybe this was not applied to women and small children in certain cases). I'm not going to go too in depth on this as there isn't very transparent information on these and counterarguments are somewhat speculative.
Firstly, there was a report in December that half the munitions used in Gaza were not precise munitions.

But using 'dumb bombs' doesn't necessarily imply recklessness and using precise guided munitions certainly doesn't imply that 'collateral damage' is being minimised or that the munitions are being used sensibly. So in my opinion, this is a moot point.
However with regards to using appropriate munitions based on the the value of a military target and potential collateral damage, these +972 and Local Call Articles (Israeli publications) citing anonymous IDF intelligence sources:
Supposedly, the IDF will allow the deaths of 20 civilians in an air strike if they are near a low-ranking hamas member (no matter how low). And the IDF sees it permissible to kill more than 100 civilians in attacks on a top-ranking Hamas officials.
Some might be skeptical. Fine. But the IDF responded to this report claiming it respects international law but never denied these two claims specifically. There are multiple examples of attacks that fit these guidelines however. But I would like to add because this point infuriates me to no end. Israel controls all the entry points of Gaza (Yes including the Egyptian border as everything that goes through Egypt has to be approved and inspected 3 times by the IDF), it has a responsibility to facilitate (not provide) food. The same way Assad was deemed responsible for providing food to enemy territory in Syria and when he failed do that in certain ISIS strongholds he was also accused of genocide and war crimes.
TLDR: Warning civilians before invasions/attacks is pretty much standard in international law. This has been standard practice since world war 2 (the US warned Japanese citizens with flyers before bombings) and even some Mexican cartels have issued flyers to civilians before they plan on attacking a rival cartel in the area. (I have put links to all of this in the post).
In some cases, it might be permissible to not do so for tactical reasons. But Israel has done several strikes without warning civilians prior to it; they only tend to warn civilians before a ground invasion. The IDF have also used those warnings as an excuse to set up kill zones for anyone left in the area (civilians killed are responsible as they should have evacuated in the IDF's eyes).

Hace como un mes, mi mejor amigo me presento a travez de whatsapp a dos chicas mexicanas, ambas se conocian en persona y ambas habian conocido amigo en un grupo de "Rol" (En verdad me pregunto como el siendo una año mayor que yo sigue teniendo esas costumbres).

Me conto una fuerte anecdota de la segunda vez que su tio intento violarla (Iba para los 7 años, y la familia no sabia nada, entoces los dejaron solos), ella con tan poca edad se le escapo y el viejo la persiguio por un cerro, hasta que ella cansada y despues de habersele enrredado un pie en unos cardos, empezo a flaquear, al final el hombre le clavo una navaja en la pierna y la golpeo en la cabeza con una piedra, aunque ella volvio a escapar mientras el trato de quitarle la ropa, lo mas duro fue que al llegar a la casa, la familia y la policia que los habian estado buscando fueron engañados por el HDP cuando este dijo que esta habia echo un berrinche, rompio unas cosas de la casa y escapo.
Eso es algo que mas le dolio, cuando le decia a su familia estos no la creian y asi ella crecio aislada de su familia al no tenerles confianza, solo una chica le cree (Esto traera consecuencias mas tarde).
Con toda esta información se activo mi modo "Protector" es algo que al principio no entendi, pero despues de meditar en mi mismo me di cuenta que tiendo a empatizar y proteger a quienes me importan, y ya me habia pasado antes también con una chica, cuya situacion era triste pero no al nivel de esta otra chica, ni de cerca. LISTO, QUE ME LLUEVAN LOS INSULTOS

Ya después de las clases, hacer las tareas y demas, me dieron ganas de ir al baño ya como a media noche (si, se que es no es tan raro estar despierto a esa hora hoy en día) cuando ya estaba volviendo del baño me dio un poco de sed así que fui a la cocina ya que habían jugó o algo que no recuerdo como se llama pero era de naranja, hay fue cuando escuche como alguien tocaba la puerta del baño, me asustó un poco ya que fue un golpe muy fuerte, me sorprende como no despertó a mis hermanos o padres, al principio solo fue uno pero después fueron más golpes que hasta empujaban un poco la puerta, cuando fui a revisar lo que sea que estuvo golpeando dejó de hacerlo, cuando ya estaba por irme a mi cuarto el golpe volvió pero están vez en el garaje, esta vez se oía mucho más fuerte, eran golpes como si un borracho quisiera entrar, por así decirlo, no se como explicarme bien pero hasta asustó a mis perros, uno solo corrió a esconderse y el otro comenzo a ladrar en direccion al garaje, por mi parte yo me quedé un poco en shock, siempre había visto esto sólo en algunos videos de dross o tiktok, no podía moverme del todo, solo di pequeños pasos hacia mi habitación, cuando me sentí un poco más seguro corrí a mi cama y abraze a mi gato de peluche para dormir, aunque intente contar esto a mis padres o hermanos ellos están muy convenciodos que no oyeron nada, el menor me dijo que solo escucho como ladraba el perro.
Recalcó que los golpes si se escucharon fuertes, los del garaje más que los del baño aunque estoy seguro que ambos hubieran despertado a mis padres.
