2014.09.19 01:24 healthyalmonds Staphylococcus aureus bacteria colonizing the body: the unifying agent of acute and chronic disease

Staphylococcus aureus is a bacteria that can live in the nostrils, ears, mouth, tonsils, and skin. It may cause or be associated with your congestion, swollen lymph nodes, sinus problems, sore throat, eczema, rosacea, acne, cystic pimples, folliculitis, bowel disease, chronic fatigue, diabetes, lupus, weight gain, hair loss, and other diseases. Chlorhexidine, iodine, or Triple Antibiotic Ointment (Neosporin) may stop the Staph infection. See inside for more information.

2024.05.19 15:59 WretchedPleb I'm tired.

I've been having health problems for around a month and I just feel extremely overwhelmed. It feels like my entire body is turning against me.
I've had headaches (tension & pressure types) for a while now, so I've been taking ibuprofen (I suspect it's a sinus infection, I'm getting a CT scan done tomorrow). I believe that the ibuprofen has messed up my stomach, because I had 3 instances of acid reflux in a single month. I'm currently having one of them now.
I made the mistake of eating meat before going to bed. It started out as mild chest pain and a sense of shortness of breath, like I couldn't fully breathe in. Then it started burning in my lower chest area. The next day, my throat was sore and I also had pain in my ear when swallowing. I've also been burping constantly, excessively. Sometimes I even burp up to 20 times in a single minute. It feels like there's a huge air bubble in my chest that I can't get out no matter how much I burp. Sometimes I even get heart palpitations, it feels like my heart is beating too fast and it's about to pop out of my chest.
I don't know if I have GERD, I plan on testing for helicobacter pylori. But I don't think I can ask my mom to go to yet ANOTHER doctor.
I've been to an eye doctor, ear-mouth-ears doctor and will be going to a neurologist soon. All in a single month. I feel like I'm crazy. My mom wouldn't react well if I told her I also wanted to get my heart & digestive tract checked.
My eyes also feel irritated & itchy and hurt sometimes, I don't know if that's just the pain from the headaches though.
I'm just tired. These symptoms feel very unrelated to eachother and I don't know how to address them anymore.
I feel physically & emotionally exhausted. I don't know if the chest pain is from muscle soreness or the esophagus still healing or something else.

2024.05.19 11:22 user13376942069 Should I see a doctor? Sinus infection for 3 weeks progressed to severe forehead pain

Hello all,
28F, non smoker, non drinker, pacemaker due to CHB, endometriosis and adenomyosis (medications: daily 20mg dinogest)
I had a nasty cold 3 weeks ago with a blocked left ear then then progressed to a mild left sinus infection 2 weeks ago (congestion, yellow-green discharge, no fever or fatigue). My left sinus now feels much better, less congested (still not 100% clear), but now I feel pain in my frontal sinuses on both sides, as if the inflammation/infection has spread there. My forehead seems a bit swollen too.
Is this serious or will it go away on its own? I don't feel any fever, just quite bad frontal sinus pain. I wonder if I should go see a doctor just in case I need a course of antibiotics. I have a pacemaker so I'm always scared of bacterial infections (endocarditis risk).
Thanks for your help.
TLDR: bad cold followed by sinusitis in left etmoid+maxillary sinus for 3 weeks, now has progressed to inflammation and pain in both frontal sinuses but no fever or fatigue. Should I see a doctor?

2024.05.19 09:31 krolowas 25F cold or sinus infection?

25F, had the flu ~ 3-4 weeks ago and was on antibiotics + Sudafed pseudoephedrine
Hello! Would appreciate any guidance here. So a few weeks ago I was struck down by a horrible flu which resulted in antibiotics for a week. On Wednesday I started to become congested horribly and had body aches. The body aches have passed now (lasted 1 day) and my congestion has cleared up by using decongestants (pseudoephedrine) where I can now breathe through my nose, though I’m finding my ears to be muffled and there’s slight pain in my left ear. I don’t have any swelling, and not a lot of pressure in my face/nose headache, No green mucus or anything like that. I’m wondering if this will pass on its own? Or if I require antibiotics again 🤥😥 I just hate the feeling of my ears not being clear especially after battling a flu for 2-3 weeks already!!!
Thank you

2024.05.19 06:11 kitkatcoolerthanyou Early Days of an Anti-Synthetase Syndrome Diagnosis

TlDR - 28F Recently got a prelim diagnosis of ASS based on positive Anti-Jo-1 and am seeing a rheumatologist in a couple months. What questions should I be asking at that appointment? What resources are available? I want to make sure to maximize my time with a doctor and advocate for myself well but am unsure what to ask for. Any general advice of experience with this disease is also welcome, especially if your diagnosis was at a similar age.
Storytime - I (28F) began having swelling/pain in my hands and fingers in the last 4 months or so. On a normal visit to my doctor about a month ago I mentioned the pain, she ordered an autoimmune panel as a precaution to try and rule out arthritis. Results were mildly positive (ANA titer 1:40, cytoplasmic and speckled nuclear patterns). Yearly physical bloodwork from about 9 months ago had been completely normal for ANA, so she suggested we re-test in a few weeks.
After a particularly bad morning (woke up and couldn’t hold my toothbrush) I did some desperation googling and came across a picture of mechanics hands. I’ve had split fingers and rough patches on my pointer fingers etc for about a year—I always thought it was just dry skin—and seeing that picture was the first time I saw anything that remotely looked like my hands. I immediately requested an ASS antibody panel and got results back last week. Anti-Jo-1 is 82, so my doctor has given me a prelim diagnosis of ASS and a referral to a rheumatologist. Fastest appointment isn’t for almost 2 months, but atleast I’m on the schedule.
So far doing my own research I don’t know what to think. I have an intermittent cough, but I’ve always been susceptible to respiratory illness (sinus infections, seasonal allergies, chronic bronchitis), so I’m not sure if that’s indicative of ILD. The pain and swelling in my hands could certainly be arthritis. I really don’t know how/if myositis is presenting at all.
Overall I’m pretty overwhelmed but I want to try and make the most out of my face time with the doctor in a couple months. Is there any testing I should be asking for specifically? Lung imaging seems to be a common one? What medications would it be “normal” to be put on for this? I want to be able to advocate for myself but I’m not sure where to start. Any general advice of experience with this disease is also welcome, especially if your diagnosis was at a similar age.

2024.05.19 05:38 -elevatemelater 35F Married to a 29M smoker, but sensitive to smoke. How can I navigate this?

35F married to 29M. I follow a straight edge lifestyle and have been sober for a number of years. My partner smokes, albeit not every single day, and consumes kratom daily. My partner really enjoys nightlife, works at a bar, and is active in a few bands that perform and tour regularly. While he isn't a heavy smoker, he is often around it and has no desire to stop smoking or avoid being around it. On the other hand, I often find myself catching illnesses (bronchitis, sinus infections, etc.) when I am exposed to smoke on a more consistent basis. While I also enjoy social gatherings where others smoke, ideallyI would like to avoid being around smoke (and other substance use) as much as possible.
We have found ourselves struggling a bit with this issue, as we both feel very strongly about our beliefs. I often feel like I have to avoid some things I like because of the prevalence of smoking, but I also have somewhat grown to accept this, as the alternative of potentially being sick multiple times per year for several days to several weeks doesn't feel worth it.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation? How can I navigate this, and what are any potential options for action to uphold my boundaries while still enjoying things together?
I worry if it will ever feel possible for us to fully enjoy a myriad of shared interests and activities, given how differently we feel on this subject. I don't want to change my partner, as I can respect our differences, however this seems to make it difficult for us to feel really connected overall.

2024.05.19 04:47 Cat_Psychology Stories where relaxation brought on labour?

TL:DR: 3 days past due date, been very stressed for the past month. Birth doula suggested my stress hormones may be the reason, blocking labour from starting. Looking for stories where by re having a day of relaxing potentially brought on your on labour?

I am 40+2 with my second baby. I also have a toddler and needless to say, life is busy. My first w as a week late and I had to be induced as my body did nothing on its own to go into labour. This time around, I’ve been 1 cm dilated with a soft but high cervix since 39 weeks. It seems like history is bound to repeat itself and I desperately want to avoid being induced (I developed high BP at 40+3 with my first and my induction took three days but I did ultimately deliver naturally and everyone was healthy.)
This pregnancy has been more stressful than my first. Just taking the last month as an example, baby was breech and I tried ALL the things to flip her. I spent almost a thousand dollars (and a lot of time and energy) on various massage, physiotherapy, chiro and acupuncture treatments (thank god for my husbands amazing work benefits I got it all back), and between 34-37 weeks I basically was entirely focused on flipping her. I am especially motivated for a vaginal birth because due to health issues, I am not allowed to get a spinal or epidural so if I need a c-section it will need to be done under general anesthesia and that would mean both me and my husband would miss my daughter being born which breaks my heart. So, for over a month I was stressing constantly about her position. Somewhere in there I started my maternity leave a bit early too because with my husband and I both working full time, I had done barely anything to prepare for having this baby around the house, so between everything, I was working my butt off at home to prep for baby. Basically the plan was for an ECV at 37 weeks exactly if nothing else worked (spoiler: nothing worked). Just before the ECV, my toddler brought home a nasty daycare virus which I caught and the ECV was postponed until 37+5 when I was feeling (temporarily) better. Fortunately baby flipped easily however in the process she must have landed in a bad spot for my pelvis, because as I was walking out of the hospital with my newly flipped baby, my left SI joint went “out” and I could hardly walk. Cue me needing to use a cane and limping around the next 3+ weeks (I can still just barely weight-bear on that side and I’m just generally in constant pain, sleeping in a bed is torture). Then I woke up the day after my ECV to find that my cold had turned into a bad sinus infection and bronchitis, but because I only swabbed positive for rhinovirus in L&D, no one would give me an antibiotic despite me having a history of sinus infections. I could barely breathe, wheezed constantly, could not lay flat without massive coughing fits (so was sleeping maybe 2-3 hours a night sitting up) and strained all my abdominal muscles. This went on for 5 days until finally my GP agreed to give me an antibiotic and puffer. It took a full week on that for my symptoms to completely resolve. Over those 5 days before I got the antibiotic I also made 4 more trips to L&D, one for high BP which came down on its own, one for thinking my water broke (turns out I just peed from coughing) and two for reduced fetal movement related to dehydration (they gave me fluids and baby’s HR came back down to normal). Overlying that has been the constant worry that baby will somehow flip back to being breech or transverse (fortunately she has stayed head down). The past two weeks I’ve primarily spent cleaning/nesting and going to various appointments to try and fix my pelvic pain to no avail. Then on my due date this past Thursday, my toddler comes home yet again with green runny nose and I am just terrified now of getting sick yet again.
SO. Needless to say, I have been under a lot of stress. I completely online birthing classes and decided to reach out to the instructor to ask for suggestions on how to get my labour going to hopefully avoid an induction. After hearing just a fraction of what I’ve been through, she suggested that. I will not be able to walk myself into labour (despite my hip pain I have remained active for the sake of keeping baby head down and getting labour going). She said that potentially it is a mental block preventing my labour from progressing, noting that stress hormones work against labour hormones. Honestly, it makes sense to me since I still feel stressed and exhausted, I keep thinking “ok baby don’t come tonight, just let me get one good nights sleep first”…only for me to sleep like shit yet again.
So I’m going to focus on trying to relax tomorrow (Sunday). I would love to read some stories from people who think that relaxing was the key to getting their labour going. I feel like I see all the stories about how walking or nesting induced labour but nothing about how just chilling might have been what was needed.

2024.05.19 04:24 cnunezp Pneumonia 3 months after remission + mass apparently grew

Hi,
We're after some help/advice as we navigate a scary situation. My wife was diagnosed with a Stage 2 PMBCL last September and went through 6 rounds of DA-R-EPOCH. During treatment, the mass shrunk significantly, it went from 10x7cm to 2x2cm as of February (during the post chemo PET scan). Her deauville score was 1 and she was declared to be in CMR1.
Fast forward 3 months, she was checked last week for her 3 month checkup and her bloodwork came back immaculate - all levels are normal. That said, she had a cough that wasn't going away (we all caught some virus from our son) and she was prescribed a Z pack + steroids to see if the cough would go away after a week. It didn't and she picked up a fever yesterday (Friday 5/17), so they did a CT scan without contrast to see what was going on with her lungs. She has pneumonia and they are treating her with amox-clav, doxycycline, benzonatate. She's seen significant improvement in 24 hours, which has us very happy.
The radiologist's report measured the mass at 3 cm x 5 cm, which is significantly bigger than the pet scan result from February. He did state on the report that the lack of contrast made it difficult to measure the mass, and our oncologist advised to wait two weeks to complete the pneumonia treatment to re-do the CT scan with contrast this time. He also asked to call him on Monday so he can see the images from the test and make a decision whether a PET scan is more appropriate. I've talked to a few doctor friends and they are not overly concerned, as the area is likely inflamed from the pneumonia and the CT scan without contrast is not really a great tool to assess a mass. That is encouraging, but we are very, very worried.
Our questions are the following:
  1. Does the recommendation from the doctor make sense?
  2. Should we be concerned that the cancer is back?
  3. Is it normal or even plausible for a mass to be inflamed as a result of pneumonia/infection in the area?
I'd love to hear anything that is relevant for our weekend wait...

2024.05.19 04:13 Repulsive_Ad6020 At a loss

Had some vulvar itching and a rash so went to my clinic at school to get it looked at. I thought it was a yeast infection. They did STD testing and also tested for BV and yeast and did a pap and everything came up negative. The doctor said my white blood cell count in my swab was high when she looked at it under the microscope, which could mean I have an infection that didn’t show up on the panel. She gave me doxycycline but it didn’t do anything. I was told I possibly have vulvar eczema but hydrocortisone and triamcinolone don’t do anything for the itching. They actually seem to make it worse. I’m not sure what’s going on.

2024.05.19 04:09 Mother-Stable8569 Ways to celebrate Pentecost at home

I have a really bad sinus infection so sadly I don’t think I’ll be able to make it to Mass tomorrow. I’m sad to miss Pentecost - I’ve only recently come back to the church after many years lapsed, and it sounds like Pentecost is a special Mass. Are there ways I can celebrate Pentecost at home? I was thinking of saying the Divine Office and/or watching an online streaming Mass but wondering if there is anything else specific to Pentecost that might be meaningful. I’ve been away from the church for long enough that I don’t remember what is typically done for Pentecost. Thank you!!

2024.05.19 02:50 Maleficent-Farm-5824 UTI pain relief?

Hi there,
I woke up with the worst UTI ever. Have been on the toilet for house with the most burning sensation in my pee hole, smelly urine, having the pee and nothing comes out, all the usual (I used to get UTI’s really regularly, but have been good for the last few years).
I have some antibiotics from an old sinus infection, and have just taken one (Cefalxin) as I can’t get in to the doctors until tomorrow.
While I’m waiting for that to work, any tips? I’m dying over here 😭😭😭😭 so so so uncomfortable. I’ve also taken some ural and herbal urinary tract support vitamins.
Any tips for pain relief would be great!

2024.05.19 02:39 kmtgod 6 Month Improvement

Had went into urgent care last November for sinus infection and had a BP in the high 160s. Always have had white coat syndrome, but they directed me to my primary for further testing. I’m a male, 46 who was lax for the previous 6 months on exercise and mild drinking. Doc got me on Olmesartan, had some adjustments on mg’s and added the diuretic version of it and immediately started to see my BP improve as you can see. Started taking my BP at home every other day. Cut down my drinking and salt intake, but not completely. Went completely dry for the month of Feb. Ensured at least a 30min ride on the Peloton 5-6 days a week and now consistently under 120. Thanks to this subreddit for all the great advice. I thought I was dying at the start of this journey, but with a little work and motivation, you can better yourself.

2024.05.19 02:18 _kuhnn Facial pain and loss of smell, sinusitis?

I’m a male, 22 years old. The past couple days I’ve been congested with a runny nose and pretty bad facial pain around the cheek/upper jaw area of the left side of my face. This morning my congestion went away but I noticed I can’t smell anymore! So I panicked and tested for Covid but it’s negative. I still have some facial pain in the forehead and side of my face area but the congestion is gone, could this be a sinus infection? I don’t have a fever and don’t really have any other side effects…

2024.05.19 01:44 rioichi4 My partner has started snoring and I feel like my life has shattered

Getting a good night sleep is the ONLY way I have found to not experience daily burnout. I have worked SO hard on making our bedroom the ideal sleep environment: black out curtains, humidifier and air purifier for white noise, no electronics in the room at all, handmade pillows, expensive mattress cover....
My partner and I have been together almost 6 years, and over the past year or so they've slowly started snoring. Now, any given time they're asleep, it's like an 85% chance they are snoring. And LOUD. White noise doesn't cover it. I even bought some really nice sleep headphones thinking that having white noise directly in my ears would help, but I turned it up so loud I got a warning and my ears hurt and I could still hear the snoring. I also tried several different ear plugs. Most were not comfy enough to sleep in, and none of the ones that were actually blocked out noise. (Well they blocked out the white noise but not anything else so).
My partner goes to sleep before I do, so it makes sense that they go in the bedroom and close the door so they can sleep while I'm still up doing things. And I just sneak into bed quietly when I'm ready. But now when my partner is there, that place that was so quiet and peaceful, a sanctuary from the world, now feels hostile because of the noise. So, I end up on the couch, with only room for one pillow, unable to stretch to the sides, in the living room with all the electronics and no blackout curtains.
I know my partner isn't doing on it purpose, but I FEEL like it's a personal attack, like every time they snore, it's a personal "f*ck you" just for me. I don't know how to not feel this way. I don't know how to accept the snoring, if I even can. And I don't know how to sleep well outside my sanctuary.
As for WHY they are snoring, they seem to think it's because of allergies or a sinus infection or something like that, and are taking medication and nasal sprays, which...maybe help a LITTLE? I personally think it's because we're both getting into our 30s, have become lethargic after moving into a better living situation 2 years ago, and have thus gained weight. With much convincing, they've started exercising, but refuse to cut out any sugar, and they won't drink anything that isn't out of a bottle or can, which means soda and I haven't been able to convince them that sugar free soda actually isn't bad. So. If this is the problem, it's not going to change very quickly.

2024.05.19 00:44 dabxsoul Teeth, tonsil & ear aching, ENT says it’s a mystery 🤷‍♀️

27F, 117lbs, 5’5, no medical diagnosis, no medications, having aches off and on in my teeth, tonsil, and ear all on the same side. Symptoms happening almost three months now. Been checked by both an ENT and PCP.
I think it’s getting better and then all the sudden the aching sets in. I believe it gets worse when I drink sugary drinks (half sweet/half unsweetened tea), but then even when I avoid it or eat strictly healthy, the same area in my back teeth, ear and tonsil on the same side start aching. And it’s not hurting or aching on the other side either. I thought it was my gums because I had slight gingivitis (on the other side as well, not just this side that aches), but I’ve been taking really good care of my gums and teeth since seeing two dentists who confirmed it’s not a teeth issue, to no avail. I tongue scrape, brush tongue and gums, floss, water floss, use neem mouthwash, use hydroxyapatite toothpaste. I got a night guard as well.
I initially thought it was my sinuses, and it still could be, as my teeth roots are pretty far into my sinus cavity. I use a Neil med sinus rinser and even the days nothing comes out, still there are aches. But don’t know why there would be symptoms for so long without it naturally resolving (searching it says a sinus infection usually resolves in a few weeks).
I had my ears checked and there was a clump of ear wax so I used debrox (with doctor recommendation) and then had my ear suctioned by an ENT. My ear still will ache.
My doctor said if the pain doesn’t get better after the ear wax comes out, we can try antibiotics. The ENT says there is no sign of infection and it’s a mystery at this point. It makes me wary to try ABX if not needed, but at this point I might opt for it. I’m worried it’s viral or there is a different root cause in which ABX might exacerbate the problem.
Does any doctor have any recommendations on what this could be? It’s been almost three months and I thought it was getting better slowly, but today it keeps aching off and on and not better at all. Some days are good, some are bad and I notice not much at all, maybe a little right in the morning and that’s it. It’s not something I can just ignore and it’s getting really disruptive and just worries me! I know my body is working to heal but not sure what I can do to support it in the right ways other than just trying to calm myself and work on anxiety about it (which I’ve been doing good at lately).

2024.05.19 00:06 Agakla Could this be achalasia

Hello All!
I am new here, and would like some insight from people, who deal with achalasia already, and could give some guidence.
I am 35 years old female, non drinking, non smoking. For about a year I am dealing with seems like some mistery illness, and I cannot figure out the cause. I thought I have asthma, sinusitis, allergies, LPR and you name it.
My most deliberating symptoms are: -mucus in throat shortly after eating, some days more, some days less, it cause coughing and throat clearing -fullness in my chest after meals, feeling like I can't take deep breaths in, chest feels tight in sternum area and feels like lungs have no space to expand, it passes maybe about half an hour after eating, warm tea helps and rest helps to calm it down -with excessive throat clearing and cough, comes feeling like I always have upper respiratory infection, lots of rawness in throat, sensitivity to smells, and strong tastes. Feeling asthmatic. Many times I will keep coughing, feeling like something is there, but it is not providing any relief -difficulty swallowing, sometimes feeling like somethings tickles my throat or food is stuck -regurgitation of foods, many times undigested, feeling of food sitting in my chest -thick mucus in my throat, food getting stuck sometimes as I swallow, and I cannot tolerate any sticky, slimy foods, like yogurts, peanut butter, breads, chocolate etc -tounge feels swollen, raw, coated and I do have sour taste in mouth
I had done so far: -lung function test, and chest xray that was normal, waiting for chest ct -ent scope, saw lots of mucus and dr thought it's mix reflux and allergies, waiting for sinus ct scan -autoimmune panel, came back slightly positive and waiting for reumatologist
Waiting for GI visit in October this year and PH probe November this year. I am currently on Acid Watcher diet and not taking anything for reflux, trying to deal with it with dietary and lifestyle adjustment. I am really hoping to get barium swallow soon, and gastroscopy done in the future.
Could my symptoms be related to achalasia?
Thanks for any tips!

2024.05.18 23:54 fep_ cough 3 weeks after FESS?

I had FESS 20 days ago mostly to clean out and open my maxillary sinus passages up to resolve a 3 year infection. It took me three upper root canals and years of severe upper molar pain before I figured out it was a sinus issue.
I am now 20 days post-op and I am still having a deep cough. The cough is worse at night and sometimes it is a little productive but generally it is just dry. I have also been short of breath which is concerning me the most but I try not to panic as unnecessary trips to the ER always lead to regret. I am wondering if the constant cough has stressed my lungs causing me to feel short of breath.
Has anyone been thru FESS and had a cough with some shortness of breath at the 3 week post-surgery mark?
All of the info from my surgeon makes it sound like I would be feeling pretty good a few days after surgery but I suspect if they told the truth no one would have the surgery done.

2024.05.18 23:21 salemandsleep Normal to not want to move in weeks 37+?

I am pregnant for the first time. I've had a really crappy (but uncomplicated) pregnancy up until now, and I'm in week 37 now. I've still been working 40 hours per week at my job, but I'm starting to REALLY need to sleep. On the weekends I can't even watch a movie, my brain and whole body hurts. I have a migraine today, and I've been dying to go on a walk, but even the 20 steps to the mailbox is debilitating and gets me out of breath. I'm not sure what's normal, or if it's supposed to be this hard.
Doesn't help that this week I had a nasty sinus infection to boot. I was so happy to be close to my due date and work until week 39. But now I feel drained.

2024.05.18 21:42 swizzzz58 Did anyone else have bleeding after sex/lingering symptoms?

I tested positive about a month ago after experiencing pelvic pain, white/clear discharge, and some bleeding after sex. I took 10 days Doxycycline and one day Azitrhomycin. My partner also took 10 day’s doxycycline. My symptoms went away for a few days, but started up again. I still have some discharge, pelvic pain here and there, and a light bleeding after sex. I’m not sure if I’m still positive for Ureaplasma or if something else is causing this? My last pap was 6 months ago which came back abnormal (ASCUS) but HPV negative, which I am assuming was due to the Ureaplasma? Before getting tested for Ureaplasma, I was also tested for the normal STI’s, a UTI, and yeast infection. Does anyone else have lingering symptoms? It’s hard to believe the treatment didn’t work.

2024.05.18 20:29 Super-Outside4794 Sinusitis/Rhinitis w/o C&P

Has anyone ever been rated for either of these under the PACT ACT without doing a C&P? I submitted a diagnosis from my ENT that stated that polyps are present but did not mention nasal passage blockage amount. She also included number of sinus infection episodes/year and treatment. Would this be enough to render a rating? I currently am in “Evidence Gathering” with a temp jurisdiction. Most recent files uploaded were (2) “Clarification Response” pdfs. These are deferred claims
Thanks

2024.05.18 18:59 anonymous_user124 Upper respiratory infection that won’t go away

I’m 9+3 weeks today. Last Saturday I woke up with a super sore throat after being around someone who had strep unknowingly.
Went to urgent care and tested negative. Still felt bad on Monday so went back thinking maybe I tested too soon. Still negative for step and Covid.
I feel like I have a sinus infection or maybe even the flu. It just will not go away. They didn’t prescribe me anything and my head just still feels so clogged.
Of course this makes me more anxious about the baby.
Idk what to do at this point. I’ve never felt so for bad so long.
