So I recently just got my associates and have been on the hunt for a flight attendant position. I have a ton of tattoos and curious how you keep them covered. I have a full leg sleeve and a half arm sleeve. Should I be honest in the interviews though I will have them covered up?

Firstly, I’m not trying to shit on anyone I’m just genuinely curious if it’s like this everywhere, I work at a major brand store, 180-200 cars a month, 13 sales people, 3 sales managers (New, Used, GSM) the new and used car managers are ALWAYS in bad moods, no matter what, bring them a cake deal, bad mood, ask them for advice or to discount so we can get the sale, bad mood. It seems like they hate doing their jobs. To the point it’s effecting my, and others sales margins, deals that if we had discounted 500 more dollars the customer would have bought, I’ll give an example, I just brought a deal to my Used manager, $27k MSRP, customer wants to look at numbers, I show him OTD on AutoFi it’s 30 and some change, he says, “ oh no I can’t do that I see these cars on auto trader for $25k all day”, he shows me 3 of the same vehicle for 25 in Nashville I tell him, we can’t beat a price that’s 2 states away he insist he wants to buy local just not for $30k I tell him I’ll see what I can do, inform my manager he’s interested just not for 30 can we do anything to get him closer to 27 just so I can get rid of this car that’s been on our lot for 35 days, he prints a pencil with a 500 discount 29.5 OTD I bring it to the guy already knowing he’s a goner, dude laughs and says “really? That’s the absolute best you guys can do? I’m will to give you cash today” now, 25 is a crazy ask I get that, but 500 off is also a joke, the guy was wealthy and ready to buy, if we could have taken even 1k off it could have worked, we got the car in on a trade for 24k ACV I just feel like the attitude of my manager was “fuck this guy” so he didn’t even try to make the sale happen, I pushed and prodded offering our service package, 2 free oil changes , basically everything they tell us to say and he just leaves. After he’s gone I tell my manager and he says “call him and tell him we will do 26 sales price 27.5 OTD” like really? AFTER the guy leaves you give me some ammo to work with? Now I look like an asshole calling this dude after he’s already gone. Idk I’m new to this business so maybe they see something I don’t but I felt like if we worked a little harder it could have been a done deal.

Hi everyone,
I'm a builder in Nashville TN and we've been running into a problem for last year or so. Ever since we started building higher end custom homes with commercial grade appliances, we're having issues with the AFCI/GFCI breaker tripping CONSTANTLY on the refrigerators. The fridges are on their own dedicated 20amp circuit. Codes require the fridge to be on an AFCI/GFCI breaker. Our only work around so far is once we get the occupancy letter, the homeowner has us swap the breaker out. Have any of you run into this? If so, have you found a solution or maybe spoke with your local inspector or codes department?

I have seen a lot of posts regarding Southwestern Advantage and students who attend Florida State and their experience with Southwestern Advantage recruiters and thought I’d share what the experience was like for me as a 7-year intern with the program. This isn’t to promote Southwestern Advantage, but just to give a different, genuine perspective.
In 2017 I did my first summer with Southwestern Advantage, and despite the recruiters telling me “it’s going to be tough,” I didn’t realize how tough until I started. The first few weeks I thought about quitting on several occasions. Going door to door is hard as a freshman in college and although I received 100+ hours of training before moving in with my host family, I wasn’t fully mentally prepared for the experience.
But as I continued, I realized how much I had grown, how much I was learning, and while it still was work, it wasn’t as hard as it was when I first started. About two weeks in I stopped by a home and the mom opened the door and said, “We’ve been waiting for you! We’ve seen you on Facebook and our girls are so excited to see the ‘bookman.’”
We sat in their living room and I was able to connect with this family. The children were excited to see me and the mom talked about how she had purchased books in previous years and that what I was selling made a real impact on her family. She purchased a full set of products in anticipation of when her girls were older to help them with homework. I didn’t expect them to be so receptive because so many families hadn’t even bothered to open their door.
I left that home feeling like I made a real difference. And the reward of making my first big sale felt great. Throughout the summer there were many families I met that shared my passion for education and were excited about what I had to offer. I was running my own business, making connections, building relationships. And in turn, I was learning so much about how to make a sale, interpersonal communication, and all these skills you don’t learn in a classroom.
I finished my summer knowing how to talk to people. Knowing how to read a room. Knowing how to sell myself. These are vital skills I didn’t learn until I participated in this program. My first summer I learned how to lead myself. My second summer I learned how to lead others. My third summer was all about learning how to lead a team before eventually learning how to lead other leaders and their teams.
Was it hard? Yes. Is it for everyone. No. Is it worth it? For me, yes.
I feel like I’m the best version of myself after participating, but not everyone will feel the same and I get that. I just saw how much negativity there was online about Southwestern Advantage in the FSU threads, and I don’t think it’s a great representation of how everyone feels who interacted with the program or participated.

Microvast lays off more employees, but plans to move engineering, R&D to Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Electric vehicle battery maker Microvast on Friday laid off additional employees at its Clarksville plant, but they announced plans to relocate their engineering and research-and-development operations to Clarksville.
Microvast announced in February 2021 they would bring an EV battery plant to Clarksville. As previously reported, the company is still committed to employing 230 people by 2025, but they have had to walk back their production schedule as they seek financing to finish the plant. The Clarksville plant is about halfway complete, and another $150 million is needed to finish it. On April 19, Microvast laid off 45 employees, saying they needed more time to begin production.
“We continue to focus on closing our Clarksville financing, while remaining committed to fulfilling planned customer and revenue growth,” a Microvast company official said in a statement shared Friday with Clarksville Now. “We are continually exploring additional customer sales opportunities in North America, including within the Canadian commercial vehicle market.”
The company is reducing their workforce across locations, including in Colorado and Florida. “For our manufacturing facility in Clarksville, we are slowing operations until we are able raise the capital required to complete construction,” the statement said. “Once a financing solution is in place, we will resume operations to finish the project; including hiring of appropriate staff.”
The Colorado battery cell production and battery pack assembly plant, currently in Timnath, Colorado, just outside Fort Collins, will move to Clarksville, along with the R&D operations from Lake Mary, Florida, near Orlando.
“I want to highlight that part of our strategic cost cutting plan includes consolidating of our engineering and energy storage business from Colorado to Clarksville, TN. Once project funding is established, our business consolidation in Clarksville will lead to further increases in the workforce. This additional workforce expands beyond production personnel to include incremental engineering and R&D employees that were not originally planned for the Clarksville location.”

So I'm planning on moving to Nashville in the next 2-3 years. I'm a little nervous since it'll be the first time I've lived outside of Illinois since I was a kid, especially with all the anti trans stuff going on right now too.

Hey guys, I just moved to TN and I'm used to shopping at H Mart. I found out that Nashville doesn't have an H Mart. I regularly make Korean food (especially kimbap) and came on here to ask: where is a good grocery store where I can find ingredients for kimbap and also regular korean cuisine?

I have to buy a new car ASAP and the prices on cars are ridiculous. I'm hoping to find like an older Toyota or Honda that is reliable and still has life ledt. I drove like 30 minutes last night to look at a 2006 Honda Odyssey because on FB Marketplace photos it didn't look that bad and the price of $2500 was awesome, but it was not in as good of shape and had a check engine light and so I told them no.
Most of the time when I come across used cars at dealerships the websites calculate my monthly car payment as well over $200/month which I really cannot do right now and normally their lowest priced cars are around $13k at least. I have about $5000 from insurance payout from totaling my Kia. (It would have been around $7k but I was dumb and took out a title loan a couple weeks before I wrecked it). I need to save some to be able to register my car, etc. My credit score is about 670 currently.
I came across this CR-V and thought even though the mileage is high, it only has had 1 owner and the 3 accidents it has been in have been minor. And it's only around $9k so if it is worth it, I thought if I put about $3000-3500 down on it would maybe not be that bad of a monthly payment? It looks like it has had regular maintenance, but it may be due for timing belt due to the mileage is what I've been told.
Is this a CR-V with a k series also? Because I've heard K series Honda engines are very good. My sister also has a 2011 Honda Pilot that is at around 240k miles and it's still running good. I plan on going to the dealership tomorrow to look at it.

Honestly im a bit feed up of dating apps and of the the current dating culture in general. Im looking for something slow burn. But that will eventually lead to a long term relationship. I want to build a strong foundation for a relationship. That will last in time.
