Soy canadiense. Conocí mi mejor amigo en la escuela y el es de Mexico, entonces decidí visitarlo. Cuando llegué en Mexico, me encantó el país y decidí que quería aprender más sobre él. Estoy viviendo aqui por unos meses. El país es tan hermoso, la comida es increible y me gusta mucho el clima.
Pero estoy molesto con TELCEL. Porque estoy viviendo aqui por un tiempo, he necesitado un SIM de Mexico. Lo compré y después compré mi Paq Internet amigo por un mes con 8GB. Dijo que incluye MB ilimitados en las redes sociales. Bueno! Suy un adicto a instagram entonces lo he estado usando muchísimo, asumiendo que es gratis. Pero hoy, menos de una semana desde que compré mi paquete de mes, recibí un mensaje ´´ Tu saldo por agotarse´´. Que??? Descubrí que mis datos de Instagram todavía cuentan para mi total, puedo seguir usándolos después de haber agotado mis 8 GB. Me siento mentido, traicionado y desconsolado, Telcel me ha engañado con esta falsa promesa!
Ok, esa es mi despotrique. Obviamente no es el fin del mundo, pero es molesto tener que comprar más datos después de una semana cuando tenía un presupuesto de un mes. Además de que TELCEL me engaña, todavía amo este hermoso país y disfruto aprendiendo español.
P.S. Estoy en Xalapa y soy músico busco gente con quien tocar. Debido a mis limitados conocimientos de español y al no conocer a mucha gente aquí, no he tenido mucho éxito, así que si pudieras darme alguna pista sobre dónde encontrar algunas sesiones improvisadas o bandas con las que podría tocar, ¡realmente te lo agradecería! Acutalmente tengo una línea Telcel, es el número personal que tengo desde hace años y no quiero perder el número. Estoy en prepago y usualmente le pongo $150 para el mes (bueno, 26 días ya que lo bajaron) que da 2 GB de datos más redes sociales, además de llamadas y mensajes ilimitados.
La cosa es que actualmente siento que pago más de lo que uso, porque mi uso actual es ya diferente: no uso casi las redes sociales que dan (a veces abro Instagram, pero muy poco, y luego Twitter por eso de temblores o reportes de transporte público, que ahora uso una o dos veces a la semana, es decir, no uso prácticamente nada de las redes que dan gratis), mensajes no envío, pero las llamadas sí las llegó a usar varias veces a la semana; lo que en cambio sí uso y no me alcanza es el internet, pero son sólo 2 GB la mes, que siento que me quedan cortos, incluso para navegación en general. Siento que tengo que ir con extremo cuidado para no terminarme el internet antes del mes.
Actualmente uso más Telegram y Reddit, cosas que no incluye ningún plan, y que usan datos por ende, y me gustaría ya no descargar la musica en casa, sino poder escuchar a veces en la calle.
Llegué a probar con Diri, en su plan de 8 GB por 30 días, y la verdad no le encuentro muchos peros, la señal da bien a dónde voy y los 8 GB me satisficieron en todo el mes, aunque igual sentí a veces que tenía que contenerme. Lo que no sé es qué tan bueno sería hacer la portabilidad...
Movistar y ATT no tiene buena señal cuando salgo de la ciudad, y es cuando más me interesa tener la seguridad de los datos.
Entonces, usaría más o menos un promedio de 8 GB al mes, más llamadas y que tenga una señal decente. ¿Qué buen plan o compañía me recomiendan? La verdad me da culo cambiar el número porque he visto que lo llegan a perder, incluso con ATT. ¿O qué me recomiendan hacer?

I had recently built a modest rig and returned to PC gaming after a years-long hiatus prompted by World of Warcraft burnout, and a creeping resentment that maybe I had sunk too much time into games.
For years, I’d lived alone in a one-bedroom apartment with no internet and no cable TV. I got a smartphone in 2011, and it was a 3G Blackberry. I used it to look up tablature and learn new songs on the guitar.
Before TOR, I’d been into DOTA 2. Search me, but I’d never heard of a MOBA before that one. My best friend, also my longtime WoW pal, told me his PvP guild used to break up their long blocks of Warsong Gulch premades with the original Warcraft III Dota. Other than that, I had no perspective from which to approach a genre based on WC III hero units (a design choice I’d hated).
One workday evening, while I was dabbling with a Sith assassin, I learned that Heroes of the Storm (née Blizz DOTA) would soon have a pay-to-play closed beta. I contemplated this quietly, while stealth ambushing Jedi guardians (revenge for my suffering as a healing priest).
One weekend not long after that, I wound up at my WoW/DOTA 2 friend's house for a long night of gaming. By then, it was time: spend $40, get three heroes and some gratis skins to jump-start your Heroes of the Storm experience.
We pulled the trigger.
I still wear the Level 40 Beta badge on my portrait.
On and off for the several years between now and then, I binged Heroes of the Storm with all my friends. The preponderance of those hours are up there in my personal Gaming Hall of Legend, right alongside my first run through World 1-1, and my first honorable kill.
Heroes of the Storm fixed the MOBA genre.
Keep your last hits, sayonara item shop, protect Hammer (and not the agility carry). DOTA 2 stirred something in me, but HOTS woke it up and set it on fire.
The Lost Vikings were my jam.
I was a trash-league player, quick match all the the time. In the beginning, I played the weird toons, and I was consistently rewarded with a few matches a day where I just blindsided people who had no idea how to cope.
Maybe better than that were the mirror matches: which TLV/Abathur(/later Rexxar) was the real King Weird, and who just be imitating?
Time wore on and I took breaks. After a while, I gravitated to straightforward heroes like Muradin, Valla and Raynor. Man, the design chops were THERE.
Not that I’d ever played Starcraft or Diablo, but I knew who those characters were. It was fun to take a dip in their native franchises after discovering them backwards in the Nexus.
The best part of all this was passing the hours with my friends, like we hadn’t since vanilla. Obviously, we’re all Blizzard fans. Who’s not?
But how much can anybody really do?
WoW was already the ultimate pivot to nostalgia, and that way lies the sunset. In retrospect, Heroes of the Storm was a curtain call from the moment it went live.
So now we wait. For something else. From someone else? Maybe. Never say never, I guess (but no apologies for dancing on the throne while the catapults rolled in. You’ve all played enough games to know when you’re licked).
Anyway, HOTS is dead.
But it was some of the most fun I’ve ever had.
