My Betts has velvet. Please help!
My Betta regular tank is 5 gallon, had my guy for 4 months so far filtered and heated to 79°, tank parameters are normal tested with a master test kit, 30% water changes every 7-10 days, live planted with Java ferns and Anubias, has 1 nerite tank mate. Yesterday I diagnosed him with Velvet. He has been lethargic lately, not eating, and after some research I shined a light on his body in a dark room, and he looks like he has been sprinkled with Golden dust ( w . I have him currently in a hospital tank, at 85° treated with aquarium salt and copper, dosed at recommended amounts per bottle instructions tank is also covered with a towel to black it out since the parasite life cycle is shortened by the dark. After 24 hours in hospital tank he is swimming and has eaten, but is still has gold dust on his gills and fins.. I'm worried I won't be able to cure him. is the disease too far progressed? Is there anything else I can do to help him to make sure he lives? Please. 🙏🏼

2024.05.19 18:15 adulting4kids Oracle Cards

To cultivate a meaningful practice with Oracle Card Spreads, start by choosing a deck that resonates with you. Establish a sacred space for your readings and set clear intentions. Regularly cleanse and charge your cards. Develop a connection with each card's symbolism through meditation and reflection. Practice various spreads to enhance your interpretive skills. Trust your intuition and incorporate journaling to track your insights.
Consistency and openness are key to deepening your understanding of Oracle Cards. Oracle cards are a divination tool similar to Tarot cards, consisting of a deck with unique images and symbols. Unlike Tarot, Oracle cards don't adhere to a standardized structure, allowing for greater creativity in design. These cards are used for intuitive guidance, self-reflection, and spiritual insights. Each card carries a specific meaning or message, and users often draw cards randomly or lay out spreads to gain insights into various aspects of their lives or seek answers to specific questions.
Oracle cards are embraced by individuals seeking personal growth, inspiration, and a connection to their intuition.
Oracle cards are diverse, covering themes like angels, animals, mythology, or affirmations. Users interpret the cards based on intuition, imagery, and personal associations rather than a fixed set of meanings.
The practice involves shuffling the deck, posing a question, and drawing cards to receive guidance. Some use Oracle cards for daily inspiration, while others turn to them during pivotal life moments.
The open-ended nature of Oracle cards encourages users to explore their spirituality, fostering a unique and personal connection with the deck.
Regular use enhances one's intuitive abilities and deepens the bond with the cards. To deepen your Oracle card practice, consider exploring different spreads that cater to specific inquiries or areas of your life.
Develop a ritual around your readings, such as grounding exercises or meditation, to enhance focus and receptivity. Engage with the imagery on the cards through visualization and contemplation, allowing your subconscious to contribute to the interpretation.
Maintain a journal to record your readings, insights, and feelings, fostering a reflective process that helps track patterns and personal growth over time. Remember, the essence of Oracle cards lies in personal connection and intuition, making each reading a unique and enriching experience.
Experiment with combining Oracle card readings with other spiritual practices like meditation, crystal work, or rituals to create a holistic experience.
Join communities or online forums to share experiences and insights with fellow practitioners, gaining new perspectives on card interpretations. Periodically cleanse and recharge your cards to maintain their energy.
Embrace the evolving nature of your practice, allowing it to adapt as you grow spiritually. As you become more attuned to your intuition, you may find that Oracle cards become a powerful tool for self-discovery, guidance, and empowerment.
Consider integrating Oracle card readings into a mindful routine, incorporating them into moments of introspection, gratitude, or goal-setting. Explore different spreads or design your own to tailor readings to specific aspects of your life. Share your insights with others or use Oracle cards in group settings for collective guidance.
As you progress, don't hesitate to explore advanced techniques, such as combining multiple decks or creating your own cards to personalize the experience further. Ultimately, the key lies in cultivating a practice that resonates with you, fostering a deeper connection with the spiritual insights Oracle cards can offer.
To further enrich your Oracle card practice, delve into the symbolism and history behind the specific deck you're using. Understanding the cultural or spiritual context can deepen your appreciation and interpretation of the cards. Explore different spreads for specific purposes, such as love, career, or personal growth.
Additionally, regularly revisit and reassess your personal connection to the cards, allowing your evolving perspectives to influence the readings. Continuously expand your knowledge by exploring diverse decks and attending workshops or classes on Oracle card reading. This ongoing exploration ensures a dynamic and evolving practice tailored to your unique spiritual journey.
Grounding exercises help anchor you in the present moment and connect with the physical world. Here are a few simple grounding techniques:
  1. Deep Breathing: Take slow, deep breaths. Inhale deeply through your nose, hold for a few seconds, and exhale slowly through your mouth. Focus on the sensation of your breath to bring your attention to the present.
  2. Body Scan: Sit or lie down comfortably. Pay attention to each part of your body, starting from your toes and moving up. Notice any tension and consciously release it, bringing awareness to each body part.
  3. Mindful Walking: Take a slow walk and pay attention to each step. Feel the ground beneath your feet, notice the movement of your body, and observe your surroundings. This helps shift your focus from thoughts to the physical experience.
  4. Grounding Objects: Hold onto an object with texture or weight, like a stone or a piece of fabric. Pay attention to its features, temperature, and the way it feels in your hand, bringing your awareness to the present moment.
  5. Visualization: Imagine roots extending from your body into the ground, like a tree. Envision these roots grounding you and providing stability. Connect with the Earth's energy as you visualize this grounding process.
  6. Five Senses Check: Engage your senses by identifying five things you can see, four things you can touch, three things you can hear, two things you can smell, and one thing you can taste. This exercise brings you into the immediate sensory experience.
  7. Affirmations: Repeat positive affirmations or mantras to center your thoughts. Affirmations can help redirect your focus and bring a sense of calmness.
Experiment with these grounding exercises to find what resonates best with you, and use them whenever you need to center yourself or alleviate stress.
To incorporate crystals and rituals into your Oracle card practice, consider the following steps:
  1. Crystal Selection: Choose crystals that resonate with your intentions or the specific energy you want to enhance during your Oracle card readings. For example, amethyst for intuition, rose quartz for love, or clear quartz for clarity.
  2. Cleansing Crystals: Before each reading, cleanse your chosen crystals to remove any previous energies. You can use methods like smudging with sage, placing them in moonlight or sunlight, or using other crystal-clearing techniques.
  3. Crystal Placement: Position your crystals around your Oracle card deck or spread. You can place them in a pattern or intuitively position them based on the energy you want to enhance. Trust your instincts and the energies of the crystals.
  4. Setting Intentions: Before beginning your Oracle card reading, set clear intentions for the session. State your purpose and what guidance or insights you seek. This helps align the energy of the crystals and cards with your intentions.
  5. Ritual Elements: Create a ritual around your Oracle card practice. This might include lighting candles, playing soft music, or incorporating specific colors or symbols that hold personal meaning. Consistency in your ritual can create a conducive environment for your practice.
  6. Meditation with Crystals: Meditate with your chosen crystals before starting the Oracle card reading. This helps attune your energy to the vibrations of the crystals and enhances your intuitive connection.
  7. Crystal Grids: Experiment with creating crystal grids around your Oracle card space. This involves arranging crystals in a specific pattern to amplify energy and intention. Grids can be simple or complex, depending on your preference.
  8. Closing Ritual: Conclude your Oracle card session with a closing ritual. Express gratitude for the insights received, release any energy that no longer serves you, and cleanse both the cards and crystals. This helps maintain a clear and positive energy space.
  9. Crystal Charging: Periodically recharge your crystals to maintain their energy. You can do this by placing them in the sunlight, moonlight, or on a selenite charging plate. This ensures that the crystals remain potent and ready for your Oracle card sessions.
  10. Incorporate Elemental Energies: Align your practice with the elements. For example, use earthy crystals for grounding (e.g., hematite), airy crystals for mental clarity (e.g., clear quartz), watery crystals for emotional insight (e.g., moonstone), and fiery crystals for passion (e.g., carnelian). This adds a elemental dimension to your readings.
  11. Create Ritual Symbols: Develop symbols or gestures that act as anchors for specific energies during your Oracle card readings. For instance, drawing a particular symbol in the air or using hand gestures can amplify your intention and focus.
  12. Moon Phases and Oracle Readings: Leverage the energy of different moon phases for your Oracle card readings. Perform readings during the new moon for new beginnings, the full moon for clarity and manifestation, or the waning moon for releasing and letting go.
  13. Crystal Elixirs: Create crystal elixirs by placing crystals in water under moonlight or sunlight (ensuring the crystals are safe for water). Use the elixir to anoint your cards or drink before a reading, infusing the energy of the crystals into your practice.
  14. Dedicated Sacred Space: Designate a specific area for your Oracle card practice and crystal work. This sacred space can be adorned with meaningful items, creating an energetic container that enhances your connection with the divine and your intuitive abilities.
  15. Intuitive Crystal Pairing: Trust your intuition when combining crystals with Oracle cards. Allow yourself to be drawn to certain crystals based on the energy you sense or the guidance you seek. Intuitive pairings can deepen the resonance of your readings.
Continuously explore and adapt these practices to align with your evolving spiritual journey. The synergy of crystals, rituals, and Oracle cards can create a powerful and personalized experience, enriching your connection with your inner wisdom and the energies around you.

2024.05.19 18:13 Old-Pick6292 Rocket league gaming pc

Hello!
These are my current specs…
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core 3.6 GHz (4.2 GHz Max Boost) CPU Cooler: Wraith Stealth Cooler Fans: 3x Skytech ARGB, Dual Ring Fans Motherboard: B450 RAM: 8GB DDR4 Gaming Memory with Heat Spreader 3000 MHz Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1650 Super 4GB Primary Hard Drive: 500GB SSD Power Supply: 500 Watt 80 Plus Gold Certified Networking: 802.11 ac Operating System: Windows 10 Home, 64-bit
I’m looking to make improvements. I’ve had my eyes on 32g storage ram (Will definetly consider 64g). I want a nvidia 4070 series graphics card. And if necessary a RYZEN 7 7800x3d.
Honestly not sure if I should buy a whole new pc or just replace parts. Leaning more towards buying a new pc so my fiancé can play on this one I have and I can have a new one with higher settings. I mostly play rocket league and minecraft and like to post content on YouTube through obs recordings. This pc I have keeps maxing out storage so fast and I’m constantly deleting videos and sometimes it doesn’t save my videos because I run out of space.
Just asking for a person with a better knowledge base to help me figure out the best route for me to go. I know there’s endless options which is why I’m asking. I’m overwhelmed and just don’t want to go too crazy if I don’t have to. Thanks!

2024.05.19 18:09 TheFanMan64_again Upgrade for my old hp prebuilt

I've got a hp prebuilt that needs a graphics card update, its currently on integrated graphics, witch barley runs windows and i need advice on a good graphics card upgrade for it.
Budget is limited somewhat but im not too worried about budget.
Specs: Phenom II X6 1065T 3.9GHz AMD HD 4200 graphics 6b ram (more on the way) 650W 80+ gold (i know, overkill but it's reliable and cheap on ebay) 500GB Storage
Case is spacious enough, and I'm not worried about power draw.
Cpu isn't the best (obviously) but it beats the i7 880.

2024.05.19 18:09 Bright_crafts Did you also got forced by Microsoft to link the credit/debit card to your Xbox when you redeemed the Live Gold?

Just now, I redemeed the Game Pass Core (Live Gold) because I didn't had the subscription, and during that session the Xbox comes up with unbypassable monthly re-pay services that I was forced to do. I don't play so much for this Xbox to get monthly purchases by them.

2024.05.19 18:08 Thom_Blue I love the sims 3 but I hate how highly unplayable it is

Hello everyone! This post is more of a rant, so I feel it's necessary to clarify upfront that I love The Sims 3 and genuinely enjoy it. I feel it offers an immense amount of possibilities that make playing super interesting. Recently, I re-downloaded The Sims 3 after years because I now have a computer that (I thought) would allow me to play it the way I always wanted (Radeon RTX 6700 XT, Ryzen 7, and 16GB of RAM).
Surprisingly, despite my specs, all the NRaas mods, the Smooth Patcher, and the Graphic Card Recognizer, the game remains highly unplayable. Even though I use the Save Cleaner to clear the cache and periodically reset the town to clean up leftover items, my game still struggles.
My current household consists of two adult Sims, three teenagers, a Plumbot, and a pet, and the game freezes and lags a lot. Worst of all, I have to save the game every ten minutes, hoping not to encounter the dreaded Error 12, which usually appears about an hour into gameplay and forces me to close without saving, often losing, luckily, around 20 minutes of progress. And I say luckily because you could loose a lot more.
It's a nightmare. It really saddens me that such a beautiful and fun game is so unplayable because I truly love it.
How do you all deal with this? Is there something I'm doing wrong?

2024.05.19 18:07 SmoglessSalt Asus TUF Gaming Z690 Wifi Plus - Orange Qled (not working, please help)

Hello,
I have recently built a new and also my first PC with my friend, who knows his way around this stuff and has built quite a few PCs. The problem is that I cannot get it to work. When I start it up, everything seems to work, stuff is spinning and there are lights all over the place, but there is nothing on the monitor (meaning that I cannot get into BIOS). Also, there are LED indicators on the motherboard and the orange one is permanently on, which according to the Asus webpage and the instruction manual means, that something is wrong with the RAM.
I have bought a set of 2x16gb g.skill flare x5, which is listed as AMD expo, though it should not matter afaik. I have since then returned the set and bought another one, G.skill 6000MHz CL36 Trident Z5, which is XMP and is also listed on the QVL as compatible with the motherboard (=officially supported). However, no change. Orange light still on, display still off.
Any help would be immensely appreciated as the PC cost me quite an amount of money and it is from my scholarship, meaning that I have to prove what I have done with the money and non-working PC is not the best image.
I would also like to note that I am a computer science student, and therefore, while I know how this stuff works in theory (but more so assembly, a bit of processor architecture and OS architecture), I am very much a stranger to the technical details and more generally the technologies and implementation in place as I haven't been into PC hardware for quite some time. So please be patient with me.
Below is listed my full build:
Motherboard:
Asus TUF Gaming Z690 Wifi Plus
Processor:
Intel 14th gen core i5-14600KF
Graphics card:
Asus Dual GeForce RTX4070 12GB OC
RAM:
G.SKILL 2x16gb 6000MHz CL36 Trident Z5 (F5-6000J3636F16GX2-TZ5RK)
SSD:
Crucial P5 Plus 2TB Heatsink
Power:
Seasonic Focus GX 850 Gold
And then a box to put it into and a CPU cooler.
Also, don't hesitate to call me stupid if I (or my friend) have overlooked something obvious, but please provide a reasoning as to why :).

2024.05.19 18:01 CaptainRobbed More options outside of Team Deathmatch

I want to preface this post by saying that Breachers at it's core is a great game. It has given me a reason to pick up my PSVR again which was previously gathering dust for a number of months. However, the ranked queue times are the reason why I am frequently walking way from the VR to do other things.
I really enjoy the sense of progression that ranked Breachers provides. It is a feature that is lacking in Pavlov. However, I would say the average queue time to find a match is around 7 - 10 minutes which is fairly substantial. Not to mention the frequency of times you join a match to not get 10 players and are sent back to the main menu.
This wouldn't be as big of an issue if there was more variance in the modes you can play while waiting for the queue to pop. Imagine if we could play prop hunt, mafia, gun game, pistols only, grenades only, etc. I have already gotten gold on all of the guns in the gun range so my alternative is either to wait at the main menu screen or join in on a TDM where you are mindlessly shooting at opponents and bots.
Some may argue that TDM is a good way to practice your accuracy which I agree with. However, I don't want to practice my accuracy for 10 minutes. I find myself often taking the headset off and just waiting on my phone for the match to start. And when 10+ minutes go by I end up walking away from the game altogether.
I don't know if the devs follow this subreddit but if so, please consider adding more options for players while we wait for competitive matches. I know the matchmaking will get better as the game progresses and the time between matches will get shorter. I think these "casual" game modes would help to add variety to the game.

DCS World Computer Specs
Hello all,
I'm looking to buy a new computer but I'm not very well versed in computer building.
I did some preliminary research and it seems like the 4070 super gpu and 7800X3D was recommend.
Would anyone mind helping to review my set up and see if these parts are compatible with each other / recommended for DCS?
Thank you very much

These can be used soon?
Maybe there would be a common shop section using these things? For now they're trash.

2024.05.19 17:45 TheLazy11 What deck is worth building?

So far I play Lab, Libromancers, Mathmech, and Traptrix. I just finished my Traptrix deck (favorite deck rn) couple days ago and have reached platinum with little problems. I have about 4k gems and considering building a new deck.
I considered a Scarclaw Kashtira/ tearlament deck after trying it out in the limit 1 event but wanted to explore my options. I also thought about Gold pride with Punk and dinomorphia as a fun deck to play since I like their mechanics. I also thought about Pulling the revived legion pack for Pyro Phoenix and support cards because i already brought the salamangreat structure deck 3 times. I want something unique with great artwork or something that can work with other boss monsters and be used as an engine (I think I used the term right??). Also I would like to know how much more gems and crafting I would need for recommended deck since it usually takes 7k gems to work with something optimal.

2024.05.19 17:39 mxhawk Issue with Showdown Hofmann Attributes

Not sure if this is another mistake from EA, or just a glitch in the Companion App, but noticed Hofmann’s detailed attributes do not show his boosted stats. He has the same stats as his gold card.
With other types of special cards such as TOTS, the right attributes are displayed. There is a world in which EA made us complete an 87 and 85 squads for a Gold Hofmann.
What are your thoughts?

Looking for Partner to Carry Me
I've finished one Robot, but I'm essentially carrying the other two partners I have and I don't think I'll have enough resources to properly go 50/50 with someone by the time I'm done. I'm willing to trade pretty much all of my 4-stars for a total of 44 stars if you can help. The Wild Card will give me the last gold I need, which is why I'm trying to complete this particular event. Thank you in advance 🫠
