So since I got many dms and many more comments, here we go with the translation of ve mahiya tere vekhan nu.
At this point, I must say this is one of the most difficult things I have written in my life. So if you disagree somewhere, please share your perspective in comments, that too in a way others can appreciate it. Let's start.
"Ve maahiya tere vekhan nu, chuk charkha gali de vich daawa"
This is a fairly easy sentence. A lover wants to get a glimpse of their beloved, and hence rather than spinning the yarn inside the house, they put it in the street.
Literally saying, Oh lover to be able to see you, I pick up my spinning wheel and put it in the street.
But it's deeper than that. Bulleh Shah loves God, and he finds a metaphor as if his body is like a spinning wheel, which he has put into this world (street) to get a glimpse of God.
"Ve loka paane main kat di, tang teriya yaad de panwa"
Ve loka paane main kat di means people think I'm spinning the threads of cotton. As in I'm spending time with my body, doing some actions. Remember how Bulleh Shah was a reformist and people didn't really understand his ideas at that time. They couldn't understand why bulleh did what he did. So they think he is just passing time and doing his deeds.
tang teriya yaadan de paawan means that in whatever action I do (spinning wheel) I put threads of your memories into it. so no matter what I am doing. dancing , eating, talking, writing, whatever I am doing, you are what I am thinking about.
"Charkhe di oo kar de ole, yaad teri da tumba bole"
charke di oo kar de ole means I put the spinning wheel aside, as in I no longer wish to do anything at all. so I keep my body aside, stoping my actions. Yaad Teri da Tumba bole means there is a very high pitched music of your memories (in Bulleh's heart). Tumba here doesn't refer to the drum but to a punjabi musical instrument, also called Tumbi. I don't know how many of you remember it, but there was a song, Baby Doll main sone di, There was a tumbi (or tumba) in that song. It's the same tumba.
This is important because when you play tumbi, the sound is not much loud (as compared to a drum) but it's high pitched similarly what Bulleh feels is not loud (not many people understand) but is very high pitched ( high intensity) of memories.
"ve nimma nimma geet ched ke, tand kat'di hullare khaanwaan"
Ve nimma nimma geet ched ke means singing but in low voice ( along with high pitched tumba, so again not many people hear it)
Tand Kat'di hullare khaanwaan means I'm spinning the wheel gently (like not that ambitious to do activities, just doing bare minimum) and I'm thinking about the time we would finally meet (basically daydreaming)
"Vasan ni dende saure peke, mainu tere pain pulekhe"
Vasan ni dende as in they don't let me settle and saure peke means the family and the in laws. Basically none of my relatives accept me or let me stay with them (because remember Bulleh Shah gave up everything). Pulekhe means an illusion. Mainu tere pain pulekhe means I get illusions of you, like you are here in front of me when you are actually not.
"Ve hun mainu das mahiya, tere baaju kidhar nu jaava"
Oh love now tell me, where shall I go except for you.

Bonus Fact: This is a very unrelated unknown thing but I think if you have read this far, you might appreciate it too. So do you guys recall a guy "Bahadur Shah Zafar" from the first war of independence, 1857, a Mughal king who fought along with tatya tope and the likes. rings a bell? So he was also a poet and I recently read his poetry. I was IMPRESSED. I'm attaching his 3 shers that are simple to understand and I love them.

So I’m sorry, I just really want to know I have star sports 4K it doesn’t give any ads in between so it’s fun to watch songs in between overs among them in the 16th over the tune started off with punjabi tune with some lyrics that goes by “Akhiyan Sona… Ooo.. Akhiyan tere… bas main… tere peee aee.. aee.. aee *punjabi wedding type tune and drums” it sounded something similar to “Dil Chori” but it’s not that song.. the tune was similar.
I’m a lazy pig and these commentators interrupted in between so even Shazam didn’t recognise.. please help me.. I just can’t get it out of my fucking head. I know there’s at least some one out here who went to that match and knows it because the whole stadium started to enjoy the song and sung along with the speakers.. like people were dancing and what not.

• بدأ العمال السوريون في لبنان إضراباً يستمر أسبوعاً ليس الأول، لكنه الأشمل لجهة القطاعات التي «يشغّلها» السوريون من الزراعة إلى البناء والحدادة والحجر والبلاط وغيرها من المهن. الإضراب الذي دعت اليه «رابطة العمال السوريين» على خلفية حملة المداهمات التي تقوم بها الأجهزة الأمنية، شلّ منطقة البقاع خصوصاً حيث ثقل النزوح السوري، ودفع كثيرين إلى التفكير في المغادرة... إلى مناطق لبنانية أخرى، ما يؤكد أن معالجة هذا الملف لا تكون بالحملات الأمنية، ولا طبعاً بوضع النازحين في «كميونات» و«رميهم» على الحدود كما يحلو لبعض عنصريّينا التفكير

تبدو الحقول الزراعية في مناطق البقاع خالية من العاملات اللواتي «ينغلن» فيها عادة تحت أشعة الشمس، فيما الخيم التي يقمن فيها تعجّ بناسها. في منطقة الفاعور في البقاع الأوسط، حيث أضربت العاملات الزراعيات عن العمل، تقول إحداهن التي لم تتعدّ السابعة عشرة إن «الجميع ملتزم بالإضراب لمدة أسبوع، ولم ينزل أحد إلى العمل من مخيمنا ومن المخيمات المجاورة»، مشيرة إلى أن «هذه المرّة غير المرات السابقة. امتنعنا عن العمل سابقاً احتجاجاً على الأجور المتدنية، إلا أننا لم نؤثّر كثيراً لأن أصحاب الأراضي كانوا يحضرون عاملات سوريات من مخيمات مجاورة، أما اليوم فالغالبية ملتزمة بالإضراب».ومنذ أول من أمس، يلتزم العمال السوريون بإضراب مفتوح وشامل يشلّ منطقة البقاع، وتحديداً الغربي منه وبعض مناطق البقاعين الأوسط والشمالي كمنطقة عرسال، حيث امتنع هؤلاء عن النزول إلى أعمالهم في المشاريع الزراعية والمحالّ التجارية، ما أدى إلى جعل غالبية البلدات البقاعية شبه فارغة في بعض أوقات النهار، وهو أمر لم يعد مألوفاً منذ سنوات في هذه المنطقة التي تحتضن العدد الأكبر من النازحين. ولا يحتاج الأمر إلى كثير عناء لاكتشاف أن أبرز المتضررين هم أصحاب المشاريع الزراعية في السهل مع خلوّ الحقول من العمال. منذ بداية الحرب السورية وحتى العام الماضي، لم يسبق أن وصلت الأمور إلى هذا الحد في مخيمات النازحين السوريين ولا بين النازحين واللبنانيين. فإلى مواقف بعض اللبنانيين المعارضة للوجود السوري برمّته، بدأ التململ أخيراً يتسرّب إلى المجتمعات التي كانت تُحسب في «صفّ» السوريين، وطفت الكراهية لدى البعض منهم دفعة واحدة. وترافق ذلك مع تظهير مواقف رسمية بالتوازي مع حملات أمنية، باتت شبه يومية في بعض المناطق والمخيمات، خصوصاً في منطقة البقاع. سلسلة أوصلت بدورها إلى إخراج جزء واسع من النازحين السوريين شعوراً دفيناً بالاستهداف، وهو ما عبّرت عنه مجموعة كبيرة من النساء في جلسة «مصارحة» قامت بها إحدى المنظّمات في البقاع، حيث عبّرن عن «إحساسٍ باليأس من انسداد الأفق بسبب الحملة الرسمية ومشاعر العنصرية تجاههن». صحيح أن السبب الأوّل للإضراب، بحسب دعوة «رابطة العمال السوريين»، هو امتعاض السوريين من طريقة التعاطي معهم، لكن وراءها أيضاً يكمن خوف النازحين من «اعتقالات أمنية»، بعدما كثرت المداهمات في الفترة الأخيرة، ما دفع ببعض هؤلاء إلى التزام الخيم و«التحجّج» بالطقس خوفاً من الاعتقال.

المواقف الرسمية والحملات الأمنية أثارت لدى قسم واسع من النازحين شعوراً دفيناً بالاستهداف

This was done to try and make immigration from the subcontinent essentially impossible, as ships from India would stop in Japan or Hawaii on their way to Canada due to the distance.
Period: 1967-1981
After Pierre Trudeau's "points system" to immigration, the South Asian population in Canada grew by 3295% - unlike in past decades, most new South Asian immigrants in this period came to Ontario instead of BC.
W. Pitman's 1977 report to the Toronto Transit Commission, Now is Not Too Late, highlights that out of 31 racially motivated attacks on transit, the vast majority have targeted young men of "Indian-subcontinent origin."
In 1976, South Asians living in Toronto reported rampant discrimination in the workplace. In 1977, South Asians protested against racism at Toronto's Queens Park. News articles from the same year show random acts of violence against people of South Asian origin in Ontario, including agitators forcing their way into homes and throwing bricks at South Asians in a city an hour west of Toronto.
Current Period: 2016 - Present
The growth rates have been nowhere near what they were in these other two periods. Based on immigration and census data, this period probably saw the South Asian population grow by between 45% and 55%. What's different this time around are:

1. Numbers: This ~50% growth rate represents an addition of about 1 million people. The highest gains to the South Asian Canadian population in history was seen between 2016 and 2021, and the 2026 Census may reveal even higher population growth in sheer numbers.
2. Location: Facing strains on affordability and in the job market in traditional immigration hubs like Toronto and Vancouver, much of the new migrants are moving to outlying areas. As many are coming to Canada first through the community college system, they are accepting offers in areas without an established South Asian community. For example, in the relatively remote city of Timmins, where there were only 170 South Asians out of a population of 41,000 in 2016 - there are now over 6,000 international students, mostly from India. Other cities and towns have seen the desi population double (Kitchener), triple (Oshawa, Charlottetown, Halifax), up to a 900% increase (ex. Woodstock) in less than a decade. If the population grows more rapidly than people's attitudes and exposure to our cultures do, this can cause major backlash.
3. Visibility: Where past generations of Desi blue-collar immigrants worked in factories and warehouses in Ontario, and in the lumber mills, construction and canneries in BC - new migrants tend to be in the customer-facing service industry (fast food, retail, delivery). While population figures have increase significantly, many Canadians may only interact with South Asians in these places, which leads them to believe the rate of population growth is much larger than it actually is.
4. High Profile Negative Media Reports: From the 2018 Humboldt Bus Crash to the Killing of Harjit Nijjar to Extortion by South Asian Criminal Syndicates. I don't to have to spell out all of the negative press lately, but aside from the Lower Mainland Gang Conflict - South Asians have not had such a negative image in the public eye.

This is not some conclusive peer-reviewed study. History is a great teacher though.
Will it get better? There are things we can control like advocacy, unity and standing up for ourselves and others. If there is a link between mass immigration and racism, it's beyond our control. The government is restricting the number of student visas issued starting September, 2024. As it stands, there doesn't seem to be any media reports about how South Asian Canadians are discriminated against due to the rapid growth in immigration, though many of us feel it. I think this is a conversation that needs to be heard by politicians and journalists as the sentiment could affect everything from employment, to social lives to housing. This may just be something we have to endure for the period, as generations in the past have had to as well.
TLDR: We are currently experiencing rapid immigration-driven population growth in the South Asian community in Canada. There seems to be a link between this growth, especially to places where we have not already had a presence, and the racism directed towards the community by those who live in those areas. If people's attitudes and exposure don't change as fast as the community grows, this could be a major cause of the racism many of us experience.

Dear Mighty One,
I see the Lord's eye upon us we discover by revelation the 'new thing' He is doing in our lives and of those of us who, beyond the present darkness, gaze into His eyes. The 'tuning fork' of Yahweh is orchestrating the sons and daughters of our living God in growing holy remnant unity to withstand as we stand with Him fearlessly in the boldness of the faith of God in this hour. Egypt is behind us, and the covenantal promises and prophetic words we have received (1 Tim. 1:18) empower us by His Holy Spirit to advance in warfare, humbly growing in the spirit of wisdom and revelation.

Yesterday as I encouraged some friends, I said, 'stay in the blissful extravagance of His presence.' Today I saw in Psalm 34 His eyes are upon us in vs. 8 & 9 and v:15 about the 'uncompromisingly righteous.' We are to be holy as He is holy. That leaves no room for any more compromise or seeking to please man or the traditions of men, being free of the fear of man, the religious spirit, and any demonic activity. We are seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus. Lord, help us understand by revelation to walk in all the authority we have been given by Jesus Christ.
Psalm 34:8-9 'O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good! Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him. O fear the Lord, you His saints [revere and worship Him]! For there is no want to those who truly revere and worship Him with godly fear.'
v. 15 'The eyes of the Lord are toward the [uncompromisingly] righteous and His ears are open to their cry.'

We are rejoicing! We just celebrated two of our six schools' graduations on June 4th in the US and June 11th in Ecuador and we thank the Lord for all He has done in their lives and will do in this new era. We honor the faith in action of each of the seventy-eight students (in the USA and Ecuador schools this year)of all ages and from different streams and backgrounds. We thank the Lord for the hunger, perseverance and faith to finish strong. Each one encountered the Lord in fresh new ways as their hunger and perseverance in faith reaped eternal change as evidenced in their dissertations and heavenly encounters. Hello everyone, I recently came across a series of three sources that seemed to indicate that during the 17th, and 19th century, the practice of pagan religions resurfaced in Arabia, specifically Saudi Arabia. To be even more specific, the sources all describe the worship of a specific pagan god "Dhul Khalasa." Now I tried to look further into this, but unfortunately there seems to be no information on this whatsoever that I can find, at least none in English. The sources are as follows.

So I took a VERY basic Arabic class, I really only got as far as being able to recognize the letters of the alphabet (I can't even sound the words out without diacritics), so I'm really not equipped to read or interpret any of this. As a disclaimer, I did originally learn of this from an apologist (who linked these historical accounts to a hadith prophecy about Dhul Khalasa specifically), and these images are from his twitter thread. Nonetheless I am very interested in this, I was under the impression that paganism in Arabia was rare during the 7th century. I'm wondering if aside from these accounts there is any evidence to suggest that Pagan Arabic religions were being practiced in the 17th, 19th and early 20th century and if there was conflict between them and the muslim states in the area. Furthermore are these accounts reliable? I do find it strange that I can't seem to find anything else on this subject, but it is entirely possible that the information simply isn't available in English. There is apparently also a very important early Wahabi Imam named Ash-Shawkwani (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Shawkani) who reported that paganism was common among 18th century arabs but I'm unsure if this literally refers paganism or more mild practices that he deemed to be blasphemous. Any info would be appreciated.
