2024.05.19 08:48 meowzzz4352 Thoughts on my Symptoms

Now that I discovered this community I am pretty confident what is happening to me is all tied back to this lovely little jaw muscle. I see my GP Monday 8am . Hoping for any advice - better details - corrections on my wrong assumptions or statements and ultimately a little reassurance and validation from yall , That what is happening to me right now is all connected and I am not crazy.
10 months ago I had my last 2 upper molars pulled the "ol fashioned" way with the wiggling and the tugging and the ripping and the "Okay now you're going to feel a bit of pressure" followed by the feeling that your jaw is in fact being ripped out of your mouth.
Things started mild 6 months ago intensified around the 3 month mark and now these last 3 weeks I can barely function. I feel the definition of "Malaise" hits perfect. I'm afraid to leave my house the head pain / brain fog has me feeling like I could blackout any second, And the whoosh / vertigo / world spins has me terrified of driving.
So here is what I'm feeling in order of how they hit , everything is on the left side if that matters
Shoulder Blade - Everything is felt along the bottom of the blade.
Jolt of fire and burning on the skin -- A tearing and ripping under the skin on the muscle - Starts to vibrate a tingling fire sensation outward in a semi circle
When I put my tens unit on there the flexing caused pain on the top of shoulder and collarbone.
Always strongest when I lift or carry, random bursts when I'm sitting doing nothing and now even the weight of my phone sends it to 11
Muscles Weakness and Tremors
When the blade pain is bad, I can barely grip anything with my hand, Hands tremble and different arm muscles randomly will twitch and flex.
My jaw is now (2 weeks) shivering / chittering (IDK wtf it is) as if im cold. Digging my fingers into the facial knots will stop it. Always hits when I first get out of bed, then a few times during the day no pattern in the trigger
Eyes/Ears
Couldn't keep my contacts in more than half day , left only felt cloudy hazy blurry - They are brand new lenses and Ive been use the good "eye juice" with no changes. Tried yesterday had to take em out within an hour.
Sharp twinge zap inside the ear - cold trickling sensation down the canal - ends with a punch of pain behind ear on the thick neck tendon
The Whoosh (Is this brain fog? Something else?) Zap / Jolt of electricity on top of my brain but under my skull - The whoosh when i see everything spin a 360 for a second - And ends with me "off kilter' for minutes to hours, As if there is a delay between what my eye sees to when my brain processes. During the spell ill feel "wonky" "Out of body" "tunnelly vision"
The Exploding Head
Its a constant feeling / sensation that my head is filling with sludge.
Forehead & eye have waves of intense dull aches, This part is killing so bad right now, even with NSAIDS it never stops having pressure just relieves it slightly. When it kicks hard and throbs my eyes go really fuzzy and that im going to blackout feeling hits. I have not actually passed or blacked out thank god - my cats would eat me alive in a day -
Jaw/ cheek & gums are twitchy with tightness/fullness and pointy pain shockwaves. The M in the TMJ is a ball of rubberbands and it is so very tender. My face does not appear to have anything swelling outwards from here but poking around in there i find tons of lumps I can break up.. Opening and closing i have full range I think and right now no popping or pains when i do. The area by my ear where the bones connect is so tender, but I dont feel lumps much here. I feel such relief when I hit here with my point tool.
Side of my Neck has small mushy lumps just under the skin and some big daddies deeper in and these ones get stabbyy pains that pulse with my heart.
Back of my neck the bottom half is gravel I can break up pretty easy but I think 3 more come back in their place.
Base of skull I have golf balls burried deep,. They dont throb but when I rub them it is painful but in the best way because I feel such release everywhere else but then they hurt for days. When I rub them to hard and deep oh man sore for days.
All this ends at my upper back and this area is awful. It burns on the surface level 24/7. Icy hot tricks my brain for about and hour. I did some scraping massage here and it sounded like rice krispies and I think hese are adhesions vs knots. .Deeper is full of thick knots, I have the trigger point hook to dig in there and sometimes magic happens and the ache everywhere else gets better for a bit.
The floating bone
It was mild discomfort, odd feelings of tightness inside my actual throat, tingles and a dry feel. It started wiggling around on its own pretty often and when I felt that first water balloon pop inside yikes I was scared AF. Now it just moves whenever it wants. I barely touch it and it "shoots" to the other side. Massaging in here hurts so GOOD! Looking all the way up and feeling from chin towards throat I have many bumps all different sizes. And lastly when I move my head certain ways it feels as if there is a leak happening and almost mucus-y like I could cough but usually dont need to
If you are still with me many apologies this got longer than I thought it would. Today has been my worst day so far, all the pains I mentioned are now hitting at once. Today I was sitting here sobbing in pain it because I was at 13 / 10 and wouldn't ease no matter what I pressed on . 3 Naproxen with 3 ibuprofen gives me about 3 hours of refief right now. I know posture is a part of my pain levels and ive aready ordered some tools so I can correct.

2024.05.19 08:27 ManyQualms Long post #1. I will end up being back.

I'm just going to vomit all of my thoughts from this past week onto this thread. If this makes zero sense, I'm sorry. Also, this is long. I don't blame you if you don't read it. It's not like I deserve the time of day.
I just can't wait for the school year to be over. I don't dislike school, just everyone in it. Actually, I don't dislike them, i envy them. Thats a better word. I envy them because they dont have to be me. I dont have it hard or anything. Not to them. I try to be nice, i want to be nice. but it feels like my peers don't. they just have a good time using me as a punching bag. at least starting this Friday I'll have a solid 2 months of being able to work on impressing them before I come back. this year and last, I've been a court jester. this next year is my last year at this school before high school. I want to have a good last year. but i would also like to be more social, and that's hard enough.
I honestly don't understand how I've even got this many friends. I don't understand what they gain from being friends with me. If they don't enjoy being friends with me, they'd just tell me, right? I don't think I do them any favors being around them. but i feel annoying around anyone else. I do feel like the worst of my peers. they do all act and look better than me. and I'm not even me during school. I'd be quite the downer if I was. I try to be happy, but it feels forced. being social feels forced and stressful. if I don't know the person, I can legitimately not talk to them. not unless they're a teacher, or they talk to me first. but even if they do, I probably will only talk the bare minimum. I feel uncomfortable just being around anyone in general. I think I feel uncomfortable because I'm lowering other's perspective of them by being near them. Like a dump yard next to a mansion.
It doesn't help that I look roughly 3 years older than I actually am. I've had people tell me I look 16 before. That doesn't look good being surrounded by 12–14-year-olds. I remember specifically last year I was leaving the locker room, and someone said to me "You look like everything bad was made into one person." That stuck with me. Maybe I shouldn't have taken it to heart. But how can I not? Maybe I should focus more on what I think and less what others think. But I just can't do that. Even right now, I'm going to work on myself so that I fit in more. So that other people are nicer to me. I wish I wasn't fat. I really do. I work on it. I try and remember that if I don't need it to live, I shouldn't eat it. But I've gotten so used to eating when I was bored. When I was sad. As a reward. I would go to the fridge. I would get a haircut, but if it's bad, it's only going to provoke more. I'm getting one as soon as possible once school ends. at least if it's bad, it'll grow back a little by the time school lets back in. Nothing will fit with my face though. It's dumb, fatty, and I think it's one of the worse parts of my body. I've got glasses, though. They help round out my face a bit. I still don't look good, but at least I don't look as bad as I could. I also don't look at good as I could, but that's because I can't keep my mouth shut.
Maybe I should have a doctor sew my mouth shut. Maybe I should put my bed in front of my door so I can't take a break from scrolling to go eat. Managing my calories is hard. It shouldn't be, I'm just stupid. I'm also immature. I swear too much, I have a baby voice, and I always have spit in my mouth. I'm gross. I sweat too much and spit too much. Can I control it? No. but I'm not the victim here. I make everyone else the victim by being there. I'm only there because I'm forced to be there. I'd skip daily if I wasn't. I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable by going up and talking to them. I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable by sitting next to them on the bus when its full. I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable by sharing a class with them. I don't want to be a discomforting person. Maybe isolation would be the best course of action. They'd make a classroom just for me to do online lessons in, alone. Probably an old janitor's closet. But I don't think I would be worth the effort. They'd label me unteachable and let me rot in bed at home.
I don't want to be negative. But I did it to myself, really, why didn't I just choose the good genetics? Why didn't I choose to never hunger? To digest food as fast as I bleed? To not sweat? To mature at the same rate as a normal 13-year-old? To be able to disregard any VERY helpful criticism I get? To smell like a field of roses? To be charming? To be attractive? To be normal?
To be honest, self-care doesn't make much sense to me. I don't deserve care to myself. I am to be treated the same as every other pig in the barn yard. If nobody would see it, what's the point? Genuinely. I need validation from my peers. Not that I've ever gotten it. It's human, right? That doesn't mean I need validation though. I'm lucky, though. They could've kicked my skull in the minute I walked through the door. I wouldn't blame them. Not like I could fight back. I'm about as weak as possible.
And that's what I've always been and will always be. The big, weak, ugly, loser that is to be hated. Because ignoring the abnormal will make them think they deserve to be near the fines. The best. The normal. I pity those that look like me, but not worse than me. Nobody could look worse than me. I don't deserve pity though. I deserve the pain that's come to me. I deserve worse, honestly. I'm lucky.

REVIEW: Using Got2b? Then you really Got2b reading this review on Ebin Wonder Lace Bond.... ok I'll show myself out...
https://preview.redd.it/9bnyymtgtb1d1.jpg?width=3120&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ebf69d86733e33454f4d05a298c0a28a3d75b287
nothing like a good pun right?!
anyway. hi guys (and gals). there's been quite a few posts of late about got2b - not least of which by me (unsurprisingly - you'd think i work for them lol). some people have raised a couple of points about how we're using it:
  • the ingredients (some might be tOxiC!)
  • technically 'misusing' the product which might result in harm (there is a warning on the cans about it - likely just there to cover their asses. interestingly, no such warning is on the cans in australia.)
so off to youtube i went in search of the real deal. as usual, american black women are the ones to check out; they know all the products and know all the hacks. that's where i cam across this product from Ebin.
given that it's a product specifically made for attaching wigs/systems/whatever you want to call them directly to the scalp, i figured i would give it a crack. today is the first time i tried it after the can arrived a couple of days ago.

EBIN NEW YORK - Wonder Lace Bond Wig Adhesive Spray - Extra Mega Hold180ml

Product link
PREDICTION
my thoughts before trying the product were that, given that the purpose is to secure wigs, it should theoretically do a better job of it than got2b.
they have a decent range (original, active, supreme, and sensitive), and i am trying original (yellow can).
see their range here
EBIN'S INSTRUCTIONS
1. Starting with a clean and dry surface, spray Wonder Lace Bond Adhesive Spray 2-4 inches away from hair onto the hairline or desired area. 2. Allow to air dry until tacky or use a blow dryer on cool setting; repeat the process for 2-3 times to ensure a secure hold. 3. Once tacky, apply the lace as you would and tie down. Allow to sit for 10-15 minutes.
so, more or less the same as how i use got2b already, with a couple of deviations.
PRICE
got2b is deffo cheaper than this stuff. just going by the ebin website rrp of USD11.99 (AUD17.49). it'll be cheaper for you seppos, but once it gets here and you add on the australia tax, i paid AUD25 plus delivery. why? the aforementioned oz tax plus that this is an extremely niche product for us. we are a tiny market, and of that market, we have a tiny population of people of african descent who appear to be the target audience (all the imagery on the ebin website feature black women).
so, not cheap given i can get got2b on special for AUD8.50.
Ebin price per 100ml - AUD13.90
Got2b price per 100ml - AUD2.83 (on special) or AUD5.90 (regular price)
of course, this doesn't allow for the longevity of the product - i.e. how many applications will i get out of 1 can. cannot know that right now, and i dont really have a way of predicting it. so while it's more expensive than got2b per 100ml, that alone doesnt mean it WILL be more expensive, as who knows, maybe the can will last me twice as long as got2b. let's see.
THE PROCESS
sorry, no video this time around, but if i made one it would be almost identical to my original got2b one.
so, it says to spray from between 5 to 10cm from the surface. i went with closer rather than further as i didnt know what the spray pattern would be like. turns out its a bit narrower than the radius of got2b. anyway, the product is more viscous than got2b, and it felt like there was 'more' on my scalp than when i spray with got2b. it was pretty easy to work with and smear it round my scalp. it is slightly less runny than got2b because of the thick consistency.
erring on the side of caution, i decided to hit it with the hair drier on cool as they suggest (i usually do it on hot with got2b) and i can say, i'm glad i did it on cool. i hit it for less than 5 seconds, and then stopped to check, and it was already SUPER tacky and good to go. it was a different kind of tackiness than got2b - dunno how to explain it (no-one can be told what the matrix is...).
now it was time to put on my piece. i should note that they advertise this for lace - a lot of women's wigs work quite differently to our systems, because in many cases women still have all their hair (these wigs are for aesthetics, not necessarily hair loss). so they have lace front but the rest of the wig, which is full cap, attaches differently. sometimes with clips, sometimes with pressure or friction.
anyway, i put it on, and it gripped better than got2b did, but what i mean is that initial grip when i line up the hairline and push it down. i applied it to the rest of my scalp. it felt more stuck on than got2b.
now, in the instructions, it says to press down on it for 10-15 minutes. this might be needed for lace, but definitely not for my full poly unit. i should note that my next system (sitting there, waiting patiently to also be reviewed) is poly with lace front. so when i start using that one, i will be able to tell if that 10-15 advice is actually needed or not.
BUT, i just did my usual thing, chucked it on my head, pressed down momentarily, and immediately started my styling routine. it was 100% ready to go with no movement whatsoever.
i had had it on only for an hour when i decided i should go to the gym, because i like to live on the edge. so i made sure i put my hat in my gym bag - just in case!
i did a mild to moderate workout, and there is no sign of it budging.
now its later in the afternoon and im writing this. just giving the hair a gentle tug, it feels about the same as got2b in terms of hold. on days where i dont go to the gym i expect it would be grippier.
not ready to take it off the for the day yet (will update this review once i do), but i feel as though the removal will be no different than got2b - i'm just interested to see the difference in the scalp and what residue is leftover, if any.
CONCLUSIONS
remember how i said that the tackiness was somehow different to got2b? i reckon doing a second (or even third) layer would make the adhesion much better than multiple layers of got2b. i think i will give that a try next.
so would i recommend it? i mean, probably, but it does cost more than got2b. i might revisit this review after ive gone thru the entire can just in case i learn anything else about it, but right now it just seems like a slightly better product for the purpose we have, but at a higher price.
as far as the ingredients go, i'll let someone else read into that and see if they seem better, worse, or basically same same but different compared to got2b.
So will i keep using it? maybe. this is just my initial impression after one day. if there is nothing else that jumps out after ive used the can up, then i will probably stick with (ahahaha had to get another pun in there) got2b, as i dont think i can really justify the price difference. however, if it turns out that somehow the can stretches further, or someone can definitely prove that this product is not bad or not as bad as the body than got2b, then maybe that'd be enough to get it over the line for me.
Pros Cons
feels grippier than got2b more expensive than got2b
multiple layers probably more effective than multiple layers of got2b way more expensive than got2b
potentially less not-good ingredients than got2b - but needs to be looked at
worked quicker than got2b (ie. got tacky sooner)
has 4 product lines, so you can find one that suits you
product is actually being use for intended purpose

🔗Comfortable Rechargeable LED Neck Light for Hands-Free Use

https://preview.redd.it/7bzsk4f3qb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fa95386c69929972b6b8f1f8157a9c04f9013efa
I've been using the BRAUN 290 Lumen LED Neck Light for a while now and I must say, it's been a game-changer in my daily life. Not only is it comfortable to wear around my neck, but the twist-focus lens also allows me to adjust the beam to fit my needs perfectly.
One of the coolest things about this neck light is the versatility it offers. I've used it for some serious crafting, to keep the light just where I need it, and for those tiny sewing threads and fine knitting yarns. The fact that I could wear it for hours without any discomfort was a huge plus.
The light's battery life is impressive too. It lasted about 4 to 5 hours of constant use and recharges in just 3 hours. The charging cord that came with it was a bit of a hassle since I couldn't use my MacBook's USB-C cord, but thankfully an old iPad USB charger worked fine.
There were a few drawbacks though. The focus system could be improved - sometimes it was hard to adjust, especially with grimy or grease-laden hands. And the battery level indicator wasn't the most accurate. But overall, this LED Neck Light has been a reliable and effective tool in my daily life.

🔗Super Bright Rechargeable LED Flashlight with 900000 Lumens

https://preview.redd.it/t27hbby3qb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7bfcca1771bcb540cd0be90cfad5f5298b326313
A couple of months ago, I stumbled upon the super bright NJ Forever Flashlight. It's rechargeable and boasts an impressive 900,000 lumens, making it perfect for emergency situations or outdoor activities. The fact that it's IPx6 waterproof and comes with a USB cable is a big plus, as it ensures the flashlight can handle a bit of splashing and makes charging a breeze.
However, something I wasn't particularly fond of was the chemical warning. It's the "Prop 65 warning, " which means this product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer. That aside, I must admit I've been quite impressed with how long the flashlight lasted during my tests; it consistently ran for about 12 hours on a single charge. The battery it uses is a Nickel–Metal Hydride battery, and while not as common as other battery types, it's still reliable and efficient.

🔗Compact, Durable Rechargeable Focus Flashlight with Laser Pointer

https://preview.redd.it/n3ve24d4qb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8889b16d6c37690ba18b65d7feaf5aa30b8c1fe8
The Klein Tools Rechargeable Focus LED Flashlight with Laser is a fantastic tool that I've been using daily for several months now. Its lithium-ion battery provides a full 12 hours of runtime, which is perfect for my needs. The adjustable focus is a great feature, allowing me to easily switch between spotlight and floodlight modes. The pinpoint accuracy of the Class IIIa red laser has been incredibly helpful for pinpointing objects in hard-to-reach places. The strong magnetic end cap lets me operate hands-free, while the removable pocket clip ensures easy accessibility.
One thing I particularly appreciate about this flashlight is its durability. It withstands the pressures of daily use, as evidenced by its 10-foot drop rating and IP54 water- and dust-resistant construction. However, one downside I've noticed is that the laser has stopped functioning after just a few months of use. This is quite disappointing, especially given the product's otherwise impressive performance. I'm also not a big fan of the switch mechanism, which is quite sensitive, making it easy to accidentally turn the light on or off.
Overall, the Klein Tools Rechargeable Focus LED Flashlight with Laser has been a reliable and useful addition to my tool collection. Despite the concerns regarding the laser and the switch, the product's other features have made it a worthwhile investment.

🔗Ultra-Bright 12000 Lumen Flashlight for Emergency and Outdoor Use

https://preview.redd.it/3jb56cj4qb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3b5ba0c5532480ec2abcb0058df75222f6be8455
These SKNSL Rechargeable LED Flashlights truly shine with their impressive 900,000 lumen output, providing brightness you can count on. I was particularly drawn to the 7 modes, making it a versatile choice for all kinds of adventures.
One thing I really appreciated is the use of COB technology in these flashlights. It made the focus easily adjustable, switching between wide range and spot illumination, greatly aiding in my detection of surroundings.
However, it did take some getting used to with handling the light for long periods of time due to the intense brightness, which felt more like a sun's intense glare.
But overall, these LED flashlights provide a powerful and rechargeable source of light in emergencies or during your outdoor treks. With their IP6 waterproof rating and strong aluminum alloy body, they are built to handle any weather or situation.

🔗Gorilla Grip Powerful LED Tactical Flashlight for Adventure

https://preview.redd.it/ii0bwbz4qb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8a255218e527c98c3e7da22082c23b9dd2769bd3
As a devoted outdoor enthusiast, I've always carried a trusty flashlight with me on my adventures. But the Gorilla Grip LED Flashlight took my breath away! Imagine holding a tiny light source that could pierce through the darkest forests and illuminate the most remote trails.
The five adjustable modes made it versatile, handy, and practical, from a smooth and steady beam for hiking to a blinding strobe for emergencies. The flashlight is surprisingly light, thanks to its compact size, yet packed with a robust 345 lumen LED light that shines for 9.5 hours on a single set of AAA batteries.
The shock-resistant and water-resistant build gave me peace of mind, knowing that I could rely on this superb companion no matter the weather or terrain. It seamlessly fits in my pocket without feeling cumbersome or bulky. This Gorilla Grip Flashlight has become an essential part of my outdoor gear, and it's truly earned its spot as my new best friend.

Buyer's Guide

A car flashlight is an indispensable tool for any vehicle owner. Here are the important features, considerations, and advice to keep in mind when shopping for a car flashlight.

Feature Types

Car flashlights come in two main types: compact or keychain flashlights, and powerful handheld flashlights. Compact flashlights are designed to be small and easy to store while providing adequate light in emergency situations. A powerful handheld flashlight, however, offers a brighter and more durable light ideal for more demanding situations.

https://preview.redd.it/0t0sjvj5qb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ce5c9caf87b4294b4383ea771f9a06e99d1ee9a6

Light Output

The brightness of a car flashlight is measured in lumens. Look for a flashlight with at least 100 lumens if you need a basic model for emergencies. For more demanding tasks, consider 200 lumens or more. Most high-quality handheld flashlights will offer a higher lumen rating, which will be more beneficial in outdoor environments or long-term power outages.

Power Source

Car flashlights can be powered by alkaline, lithium, or rechargeable batteries. Alkaline batteries are widely available and affordable, but they typically provide a lower runtime than lithium batteries. Lithium batteries, on the other hand, offer better performance and longer battery life, but they are more expensive. Some high-end flashlights use rechargeable batteries that can be charged using a USB cord. This can be convenient but may require a power source to be charged on the go.

Durability

Since car flashlights are designed to be stored in a vehicle, you need one that is durable and resistant to water. Look for flashlights with water-resistant or waterproof ratings. This will ensure that your flashlight is protected from water, moisture, and other elements found in the typical car environment.

https://preview.redd.it/f06sfjy5qb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e5a93813b0e3679123e813fd18dccdeb55a55e4c

Portability and Storage

A good car flashlight should be easy to carry, small enough to store in your glove compartment, and have a secure mounting option. Many flashlights come with magnetic bases or adhesive bases for hands-free usage. Some models may also have belt clips for easier carry.

Beam Distance

The beam distance of a flashlight is the distance at which it can produce a visible light. Look for a flashlight with a beam distance of at least 100 feet for basic emergency situations or 150 feet or more for more demanding tasks. The beam distance can vary depending on the model and battery type.

Additional Features

Some car flashlights come with additional features like built-in charging ports, adjustable beam focus, and integrated strobe light or emergency signals. While these features are not always necessary, they can enhance the overall utility and functionality of the flashlight.

FAQ

Why do I need a car flashlight?

A car flashlight is an essential tool for any motorist. It helps you navigate your vehicle's interior or exterior when the lights are out, whether it's during a maintenance check, an emergency situation, or simply getting something from your trunk at night. A good car flashlight also provides a reliable source of light in case of power outages or when your regular flashlight batteries run out.

What are the features I should look for in a car flashlight?

  • Brightness: Choose a flashlight with a high lumen output for better visibility.
  • Durability: Look for a flashlight made from durable materials that can withstand rough handling and extreme weather conditions.
  • Battery Life: A long-lasting battery is essential, especially if you don't have access to power sources.
  • Modes: Different flashlight modes (e. g. , high, low, strobe) provide flexibility in various situations.
  • Water Resistance: Choose a flashlight with some level of water resistance to protect it from accidental splashes.

How do I choose the right size for my car flashlight?

When choosing the size of your car flashlight, consider its main purpose and the space available in your vehicle. A compact flashlight is ideal for easy storage and portability, while a larger flashlight may offer more features and a brighter beam.

What are the best car flashlight brands?

Some popular brands in the car flashlight market include Streamlight, Maglite, Fenix, and Olight. These brands are known for providing high-quality products with excellent durability, reliability, and features.

How much should I expect to spend on a good car flashlight?

The price of a car flashlight can vary greatly depending on its features, durability, and brand. Generally, you can find a basic, high-quality car flashlight for around $20 to $30, while more advanced models with additional features may cost upwards of $100.

Do I need to bring my car flashlight with me when I travel?

Yes, it's always a good idea to have a car flashlight with you when you travel. Not only can it be useful in your vehicle, but it can also come in handy during campsites, hotel rooms, or any outdoor situations that may require extra light.

Can I use my car flashlight as a regular flashlight?

Yes, most car flashlights can be used as your regular flashlight. However, they might not be as compact or portable due to their larger size and additional features. It's always a good idea to have a compact, rechargeable AA/AAA battery flashlight in addition to your car flashlight for everyday use.

What do I do if my car flashlight stops working?

If your car flashlight stops working, first check if the batteries are dead. If the batteries seem fine, try replacing the light bulb or LED if possible. If that doesn't work, contact the manufacturer or the retailer where you purchased the flashlight for assistance in troubleshooting or getting it repaired or replaced.

🔗Durable DSLR Camera Case with Neoprene Exterior

https://preview.redd.it/9v8bn3yvbb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b619155fa4cd2f0e9fc7779991a2b97dc3a396cc
I recently purchased the USA Gear QTL Portable DSLR Camera Case Bag, Southwest and I must say, it's been a game-changer for me. I love the vibrant southwest pattern that not only looks great but also doesn't give away the fact that there's an expensive camera inside my bag. The dimensions are perfect at 7.25 inches x 6 inches x 5.5 inches, making it a great option when I'm on the go.
One of the standout features of this case is its durable neoprene exterior. It's rugged and weather-resistant, ensuring my camera stays safe and secure no matter the conditions. The cover zippers and metal hardware provide extra protection, while the reinforced belt loop offers stability and flexibility in how I carry it.
The adjustable shoulder strap and padded hand strap make it comfortable and easy to use, whether I'm carrying it on my shoulder or hand. However, I find that the bag can feel a bit weighty when I'm carrying a DSLR with a lens attached, making it better suited for shorter outings.
The USA Gear QTL Camera Case Bag has exceeded my expectations in terms of visual appeal, sturdiness, design comfort, size, and weight. The southwest pattern adds a touch of style, while the reinforced metal buckles ensure durability and longevity. The scratch-resistant interior and padded dividers provide extra protection for my camera and lenses. Overall, this case is a perfect blend of style and functionality.
While I appreciate the beautiful design and comfortable carrying options, I wish the interior had a bit more space to accommodate additional camera accessories. Additionally, the rain cover can be challenging to use at first, but once you're familiar with it, it gets easier. Despite these minor drawbacks, I believe the USA Gear QTL Portable DSLR Camera Case Bag, Southwest is a fantastic option for photographers looking for a stylish and durable camera case.

🔗Acuvar Padded Backpack for DSLR Cameras

https://preview.redd.it/ju2do2ewbb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=767d918756f94af7758890f50394f8ac8c25ea4f
I can confidently say that the Acuvar BPACK03 Padded Backpack is my go-to camera bag. Its sleek design and sturdy construction make it a reliable companion for all my photography adventures. The inside pocket with a hook and loop system, along with the 7 customizable padding dividers, ensures that my camera equipment stays snug and secure.
I particularly love the padded shoulder straps as they provide immense comfort even when the bag is fully loaded. The side pockets are incredibly useful, with one being a net pocket and the other having a zipper. The webbed side pocket is perfect for my water bottle, while the hook and loop strap above it can easily hold a small tripod.
However, the highlight of this bag is undoubtedly its capacity. It comfortably fits all my camera gear without making the bag bulky or unwieldy. The size is just right, making it easy to carry around on long photo shoots. And did I mention how visually appealing it is? Its simple yet stylish design truly stands out.
Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the Acuvar BPACK03 Padded Backpack. It's well made, has ample pocket utility, and boasts excellent sturdiness. Highly recommended!

As a photographer, I've always struggled with finding the right case to protect my gear while I'm out in the field. That was until I came across the USA Gear DSLR Quick Access case. The first thing that caught my eye was its sleek design, made from lightweight yet robust EVA hardshell with a padded interior.
One of the features that have been a real game-changer for me is the three carrying modes - belt loop, strap, and handle. This has greatly enhanced my shooting experience, whether I'm walking around town or out in the wilderness. The zipper and hook & loop closure provide easy access to my camera without compromising on safety. The added feature of built-in memory card pocket ensures that I never miss a shot while fumbling through different compartments.
However, one small issue is that it doesn't have a dedicated slot for attaching my camera strap, which requires a bit of improvisation. Despite this minor inconvenience, the overall performance of this case has been stellar. Its versatility, durability, and ease of use make it a must-have accessory in my photography kit.

🔗MegaGear Ever Ready PU Leather Case for Canon EOS Rebel T7 & 2000D + 18-55mm

https://preview.redd.it/bdummp3xbb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=25976eedde6610fe87b3b5eeb8bf13e540bb1150
As an avid photographer, I've recently been using the MegaGear Ever Ready PU Leather Case with a Strap for my Canon EOS Rebel T7. It's not only stylish in black but it also provides excellent protection against dirt, scratches, and bumps. The two-piece design, consisting of a top and a bottom, is brilliant as it offers flexibility – you can use the bottom half independently as a half case and attach it to the built-in tripod mounting screw. This screw also allows for easy tripod usage without having to remove the case, which is a major convenience.
The top piece seamlessly completes the all-around protection, attaching with snaps. I also appreciated the bottom opening feature, which grants easy access to the battery compartment. Another highlight is the stitching that adds a touch of class reminiscent of old-world craftsmanship.
However, it's not entirely perfect. The case, while well-padded, doesn't provide much room for additional accessories beyond the camera and lens. Also, it could benefit from a rain cover for those times when you get caught in unexpected showers.
Overall, the MegaGear Ever Ready PU Leather Case is a well-made, stylish, and functional case for my Canon EOS Rebel T7. It's worth every penny for the added protection and convenience it provides.

🔗K&F Concept Waterproof Camera Backpack

https://preview.redd.it/87x80eexbb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=58c8c2f447a7b5f593c84d6e92db46b025d83088
I recently purchased the K&F Concept Waterproof Camera Backpack, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. As an avid traveler and photography enthusiast, I needed a reliable and secure way to transport my camera gear, and this backpack has exceeded my expectations.
The first thing that stood out to me was the two separate compartments, which allowed me to organize my belongings with ease. The upper compartment is perfect for storing personal items like my wallet, phone, and even a change of clothes, while the lower compartment is specifically designed to house my camera, lenses, and other accessories.
One of my favorite features is the quick-access side opening, which enables me to grab my camera and accessories without having to take the entire backpack off. This has been incredibly helpful when trying to capture that perfect shot in a hurry.
Another aspect that I appreciate is the theft-proof design, as the main compartment's opening is located at the back of the backpack. This provides me with peace of mind, knowing that my valuable camera equipment is securely protected.
The backpack also features a padded, upper compartment that can accommodate a 15.6-inch laptop, making it incredibly versatile for both travel and daily use. Additionally, there is a special side compartment with a strap and buckle designed to safely transport a tripod, further adding to the convenience and functionality of this backpack.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the K&F Concept Waterproof Camera Backpack. Its blend of practicality, organization, and security make it an indispensable addition to my photography gear, and I highly recommend it to other photographers and travelers alike.

🔗Leather Canon EOS 77D Camera Case with Battery Access

https://preview.redd.it/ryakprwxbb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ffb96a79537ae7359fcfc826a83fe1c3d16f546a
I've been using the MegaGear Ever Ready Leather Case and Strap with my Canon EOS Rebel T7i for a few weeks now, and I must say, it's been a game-changer. The high-quality PU leather not only looks incredibly stylish but also provides top-notch protection against scratches and bumps. Plus, the internal fabric is soft and padded, protecting my camera from dust, damage, and shock.
One of my favorite features is the easy-to-clean and maintain design. It's so simple to wipe down and keep in pristine condition, even after a long day of shooting. And speaking of shooting, the Ever Ready Design allows me to install a tripod and access the battery compartment in seconds - no fumbling around with straps or belts.
The only downside I've encountered is that the case is a bit bulky, which might be slightly inconvenient for those who prefer a more minimalistic approach to camera gear. But overall, the MegaGear Ever Ready Leather Case offers excellent protection and convenience for my Canon Rebel T7i, making it a worthwhile investment.

Introduction

The land of kings, Rajasthan, is popular all over the world due to its varieties of folk dances, tribes, miracles of the desert, magnificent forts, and palaces. Being one of the most famous state for its heirloom, its traditional attires are the most attractive and eye-catchy particularly the Lehenga Choli of Rajasthani outfits. This quintessential attire which gives us an idea of Rajasthan’s sheer artistry as well as rich cultural heritage is one that stands the test of time in the form of its excellently wrought designs, vibrant colors and the elegance of patterns – an emblematic dress that is a timeless epitome of the Rajasthan cultural treasury. Shall we dazzle in the royal elegance and timeless beauty of the Saree? With its magnificent embroidery on the bodice accentuating the waist, the vibrant colors and lehenga will make you the center of attention at any function.

The Lehenga Choli Design in Rajasthan's Royal Heritage

The rich history and heritage of the Rajasthani Lehenga Choli can be traced unearth as deep as its roots. Traditionally worn by women in Rajasthan, this ensemble consists of three pieces: the skirt (which is long), the blouse (readymade garment), and the scarf (which is long). These clothes are incredibly intricate and beautifully executed, and showcase the skills of local craftsmen and craftswomen.
Before things got changed, it could easily be noticed, that the Lehenga Choli was not only usual clothing, but also an inherent part of the royal apparel during festivals. The backdrop were the decorated designs on the royal families and nobility's lehengas with even more intricate embroidery, mirror work, and precious gemstones than we see today. These clothes are the depiction of either prosperity or of a simple ruler. They show the grandeur and royalty of the Rajasthan.

Craftsmanship and Artistry

From the handcrafted threadwork to the elaborate mirrorwork adornments, the Rajasthani Lehenga Choli epitomizes the best of traditional craftsmanship. Rajasthan's artisans, who are trained through generations, produce garments of various designs thus providing works of art to the world. Lachha, zari, zardozi, and gota work are some of the various embellishments to traditional outfits' appeal.

Embroidery

The most striking characteristics of a Rajasthani Lehenga Choli embellished with detailed workmanship occupy one of the highest positions. A wide range of edgy techniques such as zardozi, gota patti and mirror work get implemented for the most part. In Farsi, the word Zhardozi means weaving the gold and silver threads through the fabric to create stunning patterns which looks like shimmering with royal wealth. Gota patti, other widely used skill, this technique combines ribbon/lace and motifs coming into different forms of art and is more elegant and fashionable. Embellishment with adornments through the insertion of tiny mirrors sewed on the fabric is particularly appropriate in the case of ceremonies and other festive occasions.

Fabrics

The lehnenga is incomplete without the perfect selection of a fabric which will contribute to its overall personality. Commonly traditional Rajasthani lehengas are crafted on a variety of fabrics including silk, brocade and velvet, which not only add to their beauty but also make them elegant. Cotton and georgette on the other side may be used as well and this material are usually used in casual and semi-formal wear and offer the impression of comfort without losing style. It is usually dyed by the colors extracted from plant dz and minerals which make it fas to see the colours and be long-lasting as well.

Patterns and Motifs

The designs of Lehenga Choli Rajasthani are derived from the noble cultural inheritance and the abundant exquisite natural beauty of the stateMany themes both small and big appear, for example the peacocks, elephants, flowers, and complex geometric designs. The patterns have a multiple purpose: already the use of folklore motifs and natural elements, but also of the mythology meant to represent different aspects of existence. The extreme precision of their craft shown in every motif showcases the passion and experience of the artisan to make every piece exclusive.

Vibrant Colors

Rajasthan can be identified with saying that it paintings anything that is bright and bold. The colors are an outlet of a expressive culture. Bringing no less vibrancy and diversity color to the Rajasthani Lehenga Choli is not a surprise to anyone because of its spectrum full of colors that stun. This traditional color palette can be quite rich with shades such as regal blues, sunny yellows and summery greens. Every color is meaningful for people with cultural basis. Red stands for prosperity and marriage while yellow means joy and happiness. The essence of Rajasthan celebrates the spirit of life so the designers use such rich colors that the lehenga choli do not only stand out but they represent the exuberant palette of the state.

Contemporary Trends

https://preview.redd.it/hse0ixueya1d1.jpg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c17fa64ee8152b68b064d34af66de45f2692100a
Although the Rajasthani Lehenga Choli stays the life source of the traditional history, it is tremendously adaptable to the current fashion style. Designers of modern times have redesigned this timeless creation in order to provide the old-style tunics with the new, international styles that bring exotic feelings and looks.

Fusion Styles

Fusion styles are gaining more and more popularity in which traditional Rajsthani motifs are adapted to western outlines, but with modern prints over them. Take for example a lehenga that can be coupled with crop tops or be blouses, a boom that will bring a modern touch on the traditional outfit. The mixture of styles which are midwifed form the Lehenga Choli the chameleon-like that is fitting for a number of occasions from weddings to cocktail parties.

Minimalist Designs

https://preview.redd.it/kzztb78bya1d1.jpg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=32f7bb5d61d91b31ce3da90b6178eb836b5864bb
whereas the elaborately decorated Lehenga Choli style of Rajasthan is the most common, simpler designs are also gaining quite popularity. These new interpretations shy away from heavily embellished and elaborate patterns, targeting those individuals with LARVES fashion choice. The main goal of this strategy is not to damage the beauty of the clothing, but it becomes a new interpretation of a classic one.

Sustainable Fashion

To my mind, the past few years have been greatly about sustainable fashion. The artisans and designers to some extent rely on organically sourced material/ dyed stuff, and companies choose to work with fair trade. This evolution toward the sustainability saves the age-old traditions of Rajasthani crafts happening as well as it appreciates the environmentally friendly consumers.

Conclusion

The Rajasthani lehenga choli remains times out of mind as an evidence to the dazzling cultural legacy and artistic prowess of Rajasthan. This involves thread and bead embroidery, applique, kitschy prints and intricate lace features that still engages the love of fashion world fans worldwide. It is not only the festivals, but the hengas and the lehengas that become the statement pieces in weddings, which are the carriers of the subtle charm during contemporary fashion shows, or are just worn during festive seasons, that embody the regal elegance and timeless charm that is all about Rajasthan. With this exhibition, not only we raise the flag for this unique artwork, but we take leave to pay tribute to the craftsmen who, by virtue of their devotion and skill, sustain this tradition for the following generations.

2024.05.19 04:49 raerae4197 Stapler trick from r/sewing

Stapler trick from sewing
So I hate pinning things. While scrolling through Reddit I came across to comment saying that someone stapled instead of pinned. Most staplers you can turn the little metal underneath part around so it Staples outward instead of inward (if that makes sense, you can see in the 2nd picture, it makes the staples look like ----)
When I first started making corsets the first couple mock-ups I've made I've struggled to keep the lines lined up where I need to sew. One major thing that helped was facing the area or the spot that where I need to join the fabric in the photos you can see the red line over my markings on the fabric. If the Fabrics extra thick I might iron this inward as well but the major thing that has helped the most and my seams are perfectly straight now is using the stapler trick in the seam allowance and just below the seam allowance it keeps it perfectly straight doesn't break my needles and they're quite easy to remove. The only issue I could see is if you have a fabric that's really prone to having a run in it or snag but so far I haven't had any issues like that while removing it I can remove it by hand or pliers actually work better you can kind of twist the staple to pull it out but because they're almost straight it's almost like a perfect pin!
With how small of a difference between sizes on a pattern for a corset and how wonky my seams kept being I was really starting to get discouraged and almost gave up on trying to make one because it seems like the sizes and no matter if I use the same pattern or not just kept being different every time the stable hack has been a life changer my seams are perfect now. I just wanted to share for anyone else who might be having the same issue that this might help bonus points I don't stab myself nearly as much anymore the downside is I go through a lot of Staples. You just got to make sure that the stapler you use has the little plate that you can twist for it to work.

2024.05.19 03:37 Duboisjohn Sound of Music: Sew, A Needle Pulling Thread… (Clothing Design #7)

Sound of Music: Sew, A Needle Pulling Thread… (Clothing Design #7)
I’m back to making clothes about my daughter. This time, I’m making clothes for her voice recital. However, I’m not just making me a shirt (Photo 1), I’m making my daughter and wife matching skirts (Photos 2 and 3), and my son another shirt to match mine (not pictured)!
Interesting Features for shirt: 1. Collar (Photo 7), Sleeves (Photo 7), and Pocket (Photo 4): While my daughter’s instrument of choice is her voice, mine growing up was the piano. To include that, I used a piano keys patterned fabric for the collar and sleeve hems and the top view of a piano for the pocket. 2. Buttons (Photos 5 and 6): I mixed together a couple packs of novelty music buttons from JoAnn for this shirt.
General Construction: 1. The main fabric of the shirt and skirts are from JoAnn; the piano keys fabric is from Spoonflower. For the skirts, I used an inner lining of satin, also purchased at JoAnn. 2. The shirt was made using the Simon design from FreeSewing.org. I modified the design to have a single piece back instead of yokes, used a small facing panel instead of a collar stand to obscure the seam allowance from the collar and top of the shirt, and modified the pattern to use short sleeves. 3. The skirts use New Look patterns 6271 and 6465 (adult and child, respectively), but I modified the sewing instructions to join the elastic casing and skirt when cutting. I also added an extra inner layer of satin because the inside of the main fabric didn’t feel good to my wife or daughter. 4. Closures for the shirt are KAM snaps with the buttons discussed above glued on.
Lessons learned from Shirt Design 7/Skirt Design 1: 1. Holy wow, skirts are easy once you know what you’re doing, I’m very jealous. 2. Dark object buttons on dark background pattern is not great and should be avoided if possible. If I had to do it again, I’d get large white buttons and glue the music elements on top of those. 3. Whatever these shiny notes on the main fabric are made of, I should not put an iron on them as though it was cotton because they melt a little. 4. Satin is awful to work with because of how badly it frays and I never want to use it again.

2024.05.19 03:04 BananakinSkyflopper [WTS] Saturday Slingathon - Quick adjust slings - Banditocam, rhody, DNC, and Multicam - $35-$39

Timestamp: https://i.imgur.com/hgU7QP7.jpeg
Other pics: Imgur album
Another Saturday brings another batch of slings!
Banditocam new colors comparison
Steel HK snaps in black and coyote $3.50 each ($7 a set). These are not Amazon pot metal junk.
Soft loop webbing sling attachments $4 each ($8 a set). Similar to Frank Proctor sling loops.
Slings in stock, 2024-05-18 @ 10:45 PM EST:
Pattern Price Quantity
Banditocam $39.00 5
Desert Night Camo $35.00 5 4
Multicam $35.00 3
Rhodesian Brushstroke $35.00 2
If you want one, dibs it in the thread and shoot me a message. Please don't use Reddit chat.
THE SALES PITCH:
I sew these slings up myself. Some are berry compliant webbing, some aren't... depends on the pattern. Everything is sewed up with Berry compliant hardware and bonded nylon V69 thread. The front half of the sling is 3ft long and the rear is 4ft long; max length is about 66" when the slack adjusters are backed all the way off.
These have quick adjust slider on the front with an elastic loop (unpadded only) behind it for keeping the slack when storing your musket. The ends are left open with a triglide so you can attach any kind of 1" QD/snap hook/paracord loop/etc or just fasten them to the built in sling loops on your stock, FSP, etc.
The padded slings are 1/4" cross-linked polyethelyene (XLPE) 4lb foam in a 1.5" wide sleeve, sewn to the back of the sling. The only functional difference between the regular and padded slings is the lack of an elastic slack retainer loop on the front. It can vary with different colors or patterns but generally the sleeve is 500d cordura with waterproof backing.
If you purchase more than one I'll throw in a 10% discount on each additional item.
17337 slings tend to be very smooth to adjust out of the box. 55301 tends to need to be broken in a little bit but becomes just as slick once it has a chance to pass through the adjuster a few times. Jacquard slings are even stiffer on adjustment side and need a break in period due to the webbing thickness. They will break in, but don't be afraid to muscle them around until they do.

2024.05.19 03:00 Retroid69 [lyrics] still working on the title, looking for any feedback/constructive criticism

verse 1:
keep the mind flow like rain fall in Big Bog,
how i eat words is none your business, sick smog
spiral out like a Stereolab cover, the emperor hovers,
viral as smog from two bars ago, remember her color
tomato for ketchup, making dots and loops on his signature,
cash checks to catch up, taking shots to shoot for no ligature
marks on the wrists like Shinola glitter, ain’t fish scale,
singing that lovely figaro, hit her once, forget Ishmael
hail from the ash of the smog, no coughs for the sickness,
exhale the cash from Prague where i sought my richness
fitness for the hogs, seek to trash my name, send em running,
slick is the way i clog up their cache, could say i’m stuntin’
evil like knievel, flashy as his jumpsuit,
weasel out illegal lassies, he’ll stump soon
dump deliveries down, done decent dros,
dojo done dime a dozen, diesel dropped in dirty doses
hook:
dump that diesel in the tank,
pump the easel full of dank
make the word art pop like a magazine collage,
take a third off the track, save for the montage
jump over the needle covered in swank,
bump the eagle off his flank,
my words strike you like a verbal barrage,
making your peace with a good mirage
verse 2:
cloaked the dagger, i croaked your jagger,
then i toked the shwagger, cuz i smoked the blabber
choked the tagger, pressed his cannon to the wall,
blew a couple puffs out before he dropped the ball
lost his marbles while he struggled and gargled,
sloshed like the marshall, but he smuggled the cuadro
new coke, all interest lost, don’t tell the bank,
you broke, simplest cost, go to hell, thanks
shit sewed so simply, set sale so small,
tricked and towed, taught to tell tenacious tales tall
short attention spans, like Gen Alpha on 60 Seconds,
export pension grands to Valhalla, no shifty weapons
Odin puts rings on all the bitches’ fingers, infinite,
show them wings on all his riches, ringers intimate
wings like Hermes, don’t shoot the messenger,
don’t give him a Red Bull, remember the pensioner
hook:
verse 3:
i’ll paint your body with blood from your exit wounds,
faint for a John Doe from the hood, doc says it’s doomed
rained like a monsoon, Big Bog came back full force,
he trained the storms to hit hard, named them Bull Horse
hull of the ship cracked, sink deeper than your love life,
skull and ribs cracked by bones of leaders of strife
the structure more rigid than the beat, meat under heat,
puncture with the thermo probe, no repeat defeat
pleated Homme jacket, soaked in rain water,
heated in the placket, smoked the main talker
greeted thirty maggots, doped brain not stronger,
cheated curvy black chicks, revoked a million dollars
treat you like a junky at Thanksgiving, cold turkey,
i’ll leave you shook worse than methadone, lone journey
verses so cold, gotta give you the OJ, no gloves,
turkey noodle soup out of stock, okay, low doves
bridge:
hey blud, we need to liquidate our assets
no duds, the sweeper intimidate the brassets
lost my head, cost my friend, all alone,
dropped the bread, tossed the lead, call Ramone
i think it’s safe to say the story’s gone off the rail,
like the tall tale from bar thirty four, soft and frail
always wear a ski mask when the ugly mug rob the bank,
reclaim your assets, unless you wanna walk the plank
verse 4:
pirate my music, cuz i don’t give a fuck about my label,
irate, i’m too sick, i won’t live to duck another cable
tables turned like a lazy susan Marantz, food for thought,
cradle learned how to make my gats, screwed a lot
i’ll facetime ya momma, funeral’s closed casket,
no base line for commas, numeral’s composed tax cuts
can’t afford to bury ya, leave ya to the elements,
absurd to carry a beaver for no emphasis
no emphasis on your life, less worth than a common seven inch,
no nemesis is less than this, you’re nobody, don’t question this
the doctor said i’d die lit if i kept the spliff tucked ‘tween my lips,
hit the cherry in the pit til i’m fit to spit a crit, clean my rips
you puff the blunt like a one hit wonder, call you Afroman,
take me out cuz i swiped the lean back, call it my bad day, agro clan
plan to take my methods, i’ll make sure you’re threw aside,
cuz when i’m through with you, you’ll contemplate suicide

2024.05.19 01:11 ExcitingTrust888 Things I wish to see in future updates of the game

I’m enjoying this game for what it’s worth and I know that it’s not even officially out yet, but I hope that before the official release they can add these things to the game. I don’t know if the devs are reading this sub, but I’m sure at least one of them does lol!
Different looking gear: This is definitely one of the main complaints in the game and they should really address this. Legendary weapons and gear should look like their in-game counterparts if they have any like in Fallout Shelter. I mean Cicero is wearing a mail, he should be wearing his jester costume. Tiber Septim should be wearing his gold armor, and so on. It just helps differentiate it from other items and also make them look more “Legendary”. They don’t even need to make their 3D model look similar to the source material, just their gear is fine, but at least give them the right skin tone and hairstyle.
As for the other gear with just special effects but are not from the other ES games, literally just add particle effects on them like a sword with a fire bonus should be on fire, an axe with a frost bonus should be icy, a dagger with a lifesteal effect should be dripping in blood, and so on. It makes it more obvious that the item has an enchantment. I swear people would love this game more if you add that.
Return the “Wasteland Expedition” feature(forgot what it’s called) that Fallout Shelter had: You know, just drop a unit or a party in a carriage placed maybe at the entrance of the castle or something and let them explore the world where they will get items, gold, and so on, without your intervention, and the longer they explore, the more items they get, then give it a cap that when they die, they automatically go back home instead so they don’t go exploring forever.
Maybe add a small animation where they are doing stuff like running, fighting enemies, eating, and so on to make it more interesting while they are just exploring and have dialog options here and there so you have to check them for then to move forward. Then have some checkpoints so you can continue travelling the said route and discovering new areas and dialog options to get better items.
They can connect this with exploring new locations for the game to have a more coherent story and questlines. Tbh exploring locations is what makes Fallout Shelter fun and interesting, I really hope that they return that feature someday. Imagine exploring towns and castles where you can go inside rooms, look for items and talk to other NPC’s, then at some point you get to fight enemies or while running around town you fight bandits and stuff, then the game switches to the normal combat screen. Man that would really elevate Castles to a more fully fleshed out game. Like imagine going to Whiterun or Cyrodiil, man that would be amazing 🤩
Imagine having a Thieves’ Guild Questline or a Dragonborn quest where in the end one of your units becomes a dragonborn with special gear and stuff like that. And they can make it seasonal since units die of old age anyways, so like this month you can get a dragonborn unit with a unique trait if you complete the quest, then next month you can get a thieves guild unit and so on. And these traits cannot be inherited so the only way to get them is by doing the quests. One can only dream 🙏
More decorations that the subjects can interact with: I only have a low level castle right now so I don’t have all the decorations, but I notice units can interact with the fountain and have a ruling that say the fountain is being filled with gold coins and such. I don’t know if there are other decorations like this in higher levels, but I hope they add more of them. Like maybe someone reads the red book and suddenly they get an enduring trait since the description says it contains the “Secret to Enduring Health”, or they read the green book and they become 5 years younger, someone hangs around the purple tree too much and they become temporarily haunted, that would be really nice to see.
Oh and animation-wise too they definitely should add more interactions. I’ve only noticed two decorations that the NPC’s interact with, the fountain and the purple tree. Adults steal coins from the fountain, and kids play ring-around-a-rosie around the tree. It’s cute when they do that, just small details that add more life to the game. Oh and they sometimes taste the soup in the kitchen and check out their clothes in the sewing table, which is funny. I hope they add more of these to the other workstations, like they can test a weapon in the blacksmith, scribble over the battle plans in the war room, steal a sweet roll at the buffet, and so on.
Hard mode quests: Quests where if your units die, you lose your units permanently, but the rewards are better. They can implement this at the gauntlet for more seasoned players to try.
Bookshelf should have books that players can read: I bought the Lusty Argonian 1 and 2 for some gold, I should at least be able to read them, right? Isn’t that why we even choose what book to buy in the first place?
Music Stage should let us choose what background music to play: The music plays on a loop but it changes, at least give us an option to choose what we want to hear and maybe get new music to play from the shop. And definitely should add a musician/bard trait or something where if they play music at the music stage, they increase happiness for other NPC’s. To make it balanced, they can only increase the happiness to the lowest green level and will only affect their family and friends, I guess that would be reasonable without being too gamebreaking.
Allow us to destroy items to get back their raw materials: Not really necessary but it would be a nice feature to have. I’d be okay with destroying items to get half or 1/3 of the resources used to make them, at least my useless items will have some other use except for selling them.
Have an alchemy/wizard table that produces potions/scrolls: 1 potion per day is good enough. In the same vein, having a wizard table that produces scrolls is nice too, maybe not just resurrection scrolls, but temporary buffs that work only for the current battle is good too.
Have a leveling system for the units: Like someone using their workstation for 5 years should at least get a +1 bonus productivity in their job, up to a maximum of +5, with rarer units getting more, like gold units can get up to +9, purple +8, blue +7, green but with 2 traits +6, while fighters should get more proficient with their weapons the more they fight. A 10% increase for having weapon proficiency isn’t so overpowered anyway but is nice to have. Maybe each weapon should have a specific unit that they need to kill, and when they accomplish it they unlock the proficiency? Like “kill 100 goblins to get 10% more damage with this weapon”? I dunno, but it’s a nice thing to have and adds something more to do in the game with a tangible reward.
That’s all I have for now, hope you guys like my ideas and definitely your comments will be much appreciated! If you have ideas of your own you can share them below 😊

2024.05.19 00:56 em_dub Closet Core Cielo Dress progress

Closet Core Cielo Dress progress
I’ve been progressing on sewing my first ever dress and today i finally sewed the side seams together and could really try it on for the first time. I really struggled with the neck facing and a bit with the sleeves. Somewhere along the line one of the sides got uneven by about a half inch but at least I lengthened the pattern so I have room to level it out with hemming. Next step is the sleeve cuffs.
I appreciate that Closet Core made this beginner-friendly pattern and that sew along videos exist, plus friendly internet strangers when I get stuck 😅

2024.05.19 00:39 HPayne62 Rockies fans, I want to hear what you think about your team's uniforms.

A few weeks ago I made a revised look for the Marlins' uniforms and the Rockies are next up. They've never really went away from the original look and I'd like to make something fresh everyone can get behind. I'd really like to get the following questions answered if possible:
  1. Do you like the color scheme as is? Do you want the green from the City Connects worked in?
  2. Wordmark and cap logos- how do you feel after 30 years of the same thing? Do you like it or is it time to refresh the look. Script wordmark? Big letter like the Cubs use?
  3. What design cues do you like? Piping, pinstripes, colored shoulders, gradients, patterns, whatever.
  4. What would YOU like to see done to the unis?
I'm gonna try and collect your thoughts as much as I can and then make something new based on your opinions. Unfortunately the template I have doesn't let me do vests so those are off the table (sorry).

2024.05.19 00:23 nixliz question about sewing specific parts of a plush

question about sewing specific parts of a plush
hi again, i'm doing some prototypes of a model i converted into a pattern.
https://preview.redd.it/db7tuurue91d1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a7a8ba33e14a1051cd9ec9a35eb3889ffe13aa0e
i'm pretty proud of getting the shape down but as you can see my sewing is absolutely atrocious. me making my sutures so far apart was intentional, i was rushing because it was just a prototype and didn't really care about it being structurally sound, but the pointy bit (a snout) was very annoying to sew on. my intent was to do the entire thing while it was inside out so i could just invert it all in one go, only having to do one single ladder suture for the padding seam. however, that snout is very awkward since it's supposed to fit into a circular hole on the head. plus while sewing, it was damn near impossible to lay the two pieces flat ontop of one another. the bottom part i managed to protrude a little bit of it outwards for some seam allowance but i was completely unable to do it for the top part. what should i have done? as you can see in the picture i got it to work by just haphazardly ladder stitching the two pieces together after inverting it but i'm awful at ladder stitching, they always end up breaking and i have no clue how to tie off the thread when it's finished. i ask because there's many more parts of this plush (namely all 5 limbs) that i'll run into an identical problem for since they have a very similar structure.
question about embroidery : original post w picture of the model here for visual reference
also worth asking a few specific questions about my pattern - are these darts necessary? i put them on each end of the four quadrants that make up the head since to my knowledge that's how you get a curve but would it be easier to just not have darts there? also how the hell do you stitch those corners together? you can see on the snout here that there's just a hole where all the pieces meet together, no clue how to get that to look clean
any help is greatly appreciated. i do not make enough money to buy a commission, nor do i know where to look (i have no idea if itd be possible for me to commission someone and have them use a pattern i made myself lol) so i'm doing this out of necessity, so any knowledge i can pick up is very much needed
edit: here's the actual pattern just in case that helps

2024.05.18 23:40 nmmju invigilators are detrimental to mental wellbeing and should be BANNED from the exam hall

the night before my chem paper 1, i was stressing profusely over the exams seeing that my predicted grade was a 9a which isn't good enough for me so i endeavoured to rest my head in order to tranquilise the chaos inside my mind and find some solace. however, overnight, all of my chemistry knowledge had perished; i dreamt it was squandered by a malevolent leprechaun with a macabre, sinister pattern of speech consisting of a strict ABABAB rhyme scheme and trochaic tetrameter signifying his desire for power and avarice for the acquisition of knowledge. my gargantuan intellect slipped through my fingers; I had been Light Yagami before (metaphor; i was not literally the antihero protagonist), with the chemistry knowledge of Walter White and a reputation that truly preceded me as when i walked to school that morning i realised i would be receiving a U despite my overwhelming intellect. destitute, despaired, despondent. if only that machiavellian villian hadn't seized my smarts. i held a vast sea of repressed rage inside of me, and once i opened my paper to a 6 marker on equilibria, i arose from my creaky chair and disenthralled a mighty bellow, tearing my shirt apart with my bare fists like the hulk, and releasing my agonising mental anguish through the form of sound waves in which shook the mortal ground, quaking under my feet in submissive obedience. this caused most of the students in the silent hall to turn to look at me in disbelief, so in a fit of anger i lost my temper and absolutely dashed my desk at the nearest student. (he suffered minor fractures to his skull and a couple bruises but nothing major. not that i could say the same for the desk; alas, it had shattered into fragments.) the students in the hall gasped in shock at the sight of their classmate consummating the role of the catalyst for a catastrophic carnage to emenate (note my alliteration of the fricative "c" amplifying the harshness of the situation). another ear-piercing screech ensued, resounding from the molten iron core of my chest, as I threw myself to the ground in defeat.
now then, any moral person witnessing this incident would clearly relate to my pain and suffering, and would at the very least leave me to grieve the remnants of a drained IQ of 341, but an invigilator chose to approach me and had the AUDACITY to REMOVE me from the hall. i was promptly disqualified and issued several consequences for disrupting the exam. this is clear evidence that examiners do not care for mental health, a stark contrast to the claims held by thousands of them worldwide. it is time to take action. it is time to make a change. it is time to fire every invigilator in the country and beyond; students' feelings shouldn't be invalidated and we have the right to express them in any form necessary, especially during the stressful exam period. i listen to the drone of students chattering as they leave the exam and i think to myself about my perpetual experiences with being dismissed and punished for natural behaviour. i can no longer pursue my lifelong aspiration of becoming a high-school chemistry teacher in Alberquerque, New Mexico because this examiner was unable to CONTROL THEMSELF IN THE EXAM HALL. they didn't even think about how much escorting me out would disturb the hardworking students completing their questions. for this reason you must make a stand against invigilators; join me in my venture to cease this barbaric treatment of well-behaved, well-prepared students such as myself.

2024.05.18 23:32 Tesa_Tesanovic1988 The Rollercoaster Ride of VC Funding in the Web3 Landscape

The landscape of Venture Capital (VC) in web3 has witnessed a significant decline compared to its flourishing state in 2021. This shift is primarily attributed to various factors, with risk tolerance being a notable one. Numerous venture capitalists were eager to invest substantially in the booming market. However, with money becoming tighter, fewer are willing to take the risks now.

The Venture Capital (VC) journey has been rollercoaster ride since the outset of the 2020 Bull market. Funding in web3 quickly escalated from $1 billion in Q4 2020 to $9 billion in Q1 2021, only to plummet by 82% YoY to $1.7 billion as of Q1 2023. In the first quarter of 2022, several VC-backed startups witnessed substantial investment rounds exceeding $100 million, with enterprises like ConsenSys, Polygon, and FTX securing more than $400 million. Fast forward to the current landscape of Venture Capital (VC) funding in the web3 space, there has been a noticeable shift from the exuberance of the past Bull market to a more cautious and discerning approach among investors. This transformation is primarily driven by several factors, including a decrease in risk tolerance, tighter capital availability, and a reassessment of investment strategies.
During the Bull market, VC funding in web3 experienced exponential growth, with billions of dollars flowing into blockchain, cryptocurrency, and decentralized finance (DeFi) projects. However, as the market matured and underwent significant corrections, investors became more wary of the risks associated with nascent technologies and speculative investments. This newfound caution has led to a decline in overall VC funding in the web3 space.
In February 2024, a record 114 Web3 and blockchain projects raised a total of $642.1 million in funding. The focus of the funds was mainly in the DeFi and blockchain infrastructure development sectors.
Amid the Bull market, companies and funds were penning checks with minimal due diligence. Now that the reserves have dwindled and valuations have undergone significant corrections, many VCs are hesitant to channel capital into this risky, nascent sector. A phrase resonating among some web3 turned AI now back to web3 VCs is, “we only follow on with tier 1s”. Suggesting that since their investment strategies lack a profound understanding of the market dynamics, instead, they will only follow investment patterns of top-tier VCs. Rather than maintaining a clear focus on specific segments like infrastructure or decentralized finance (DeFi), their tactic is to pursue any project led by a name-brand VC. This is a stark contrast from the past where VCs were open to taking risks on fresh and innovative ideas; now they lean on the extensive due diligence teams and brand recognition of major firms like a16z, Sequoia, Pantera, etc., to prosper in a market they scarcely understand.
From the funds’ perspective, this strategy makes sense—why not ride the coattails of large funds and inject capital into any round they are spearheading that will welcome you? However, does this strategy favor the companies and the overarching web3 ecosystem?
Companies seek VC funding not only for financial backing but also for the invaluable guidance and strategic partnerships that ensue. If a company secures a top-tier fund to lead their round, filling it with other strategic players becomes a simpler endeavor, and often, the lead will assist in attracting additional investors. Allowing these tag-along funds to join the cap table could potentially become a liability rather than an asset unless they share the vision and offer value beyond the financial facet. Regarding the broader web3 ecosystem, I believe that this “follow the tier 1” strategy hampers innovation. Not every concept will resonate with the biggest and best names in Venture Capital, and consequently, many exceptional companies may fall through the cracks if these funds are absent to catch them and take the risk.
The VC funding scenario in the web3 domain has undergone a radical transformation since the days of Bull market optimism. The risk appetite has considerably dwindled, and presently, even some of the finest projects are struggling to secure funding. The emerging trend of trailing the lead of prominent VCs is unhealthy for the venture capital ecosystem and bodes ill for innovation in the web3 space.

2024.05.18 22:57 Hunnyandmilk I wrapped my body with duct tape every day in middle school

I remember when I was a little girl I would look in the mirror and just be so disappointed, in my mind, I was ugly, stupid, and poor, and it broke me completely. I would get bullied heavily in elementary school not only because I was poor but because I was chubby, while I ate lunch kids would stand by my desk and make pig sounds at me, oinking and calling me butterball. They told me I had meth head teeth. The only thing I liked about myself was my freckles but that brief feeling of liking myself soon disappeared when one boy told me it looked like I had shit splattered on my face.
I was eleven when I began to diet, whiten my teeth, and wear makeup. My teeth naturally straightened out on their own and I shed the weight with the help of heavy restriction, not without developing an obsession over how I looked. When I was twelve, boys began to notice me, I broke my nose and in doing so had to get it straightened out so I could breathe properly, no longer did I have my father's Roman nose which I so despised. I wanted desperately to be like the girls who ignored me and to be liked by the boys who bullied me for a little baby fat.
Because of this obsession, I didn't believe people when they told me I was pretty. Compliments always felt ingenuine and I naturally assumed boys were asking me out as a joke so I turned every single one down out of fear of humiliation. Deep inside me something seethed, I wasn't satisfied with the weight I had lost and begged and cried until my mom shared her Ozempic with me. I was thirteen.
Still, I could describe in detail the way I picked apart every flaw, the way I had autopsies on past conversations, searching for a new insecurity. One day I went into my dad's toolbox and stole his roll of duck tape and wrapped it around my waist. I was amazed by how beautiful I looked, my waist was the smallest of all the girls at my school and this felt like a victory. I tailored my favourite sundress on my mom's sewing machine to fit my brand-new waist and wore it to the first day back from summer break.
Everyone turned their heads to look at me, I thought that only happened in the movies until I strolled into English class with a waist the size of a tangerine. I shoved lies through my teeth about a gym and diet plan I had done over the summer to make myself look so small, my friends listened with eager ears and wide eyes trained on my midriff. The attention was more addictive than any substance I've put into my body. My friend had told me how the boys were talking about me and how they planned to ask me out, that's when I made up my mind.
It felt like a poison I happily drank, knowing all of the risks. Every Sunday after church I walked to the Dollar General by my house and bought five rolls of duct tape, two dollars each for one week of classes, ten dollars in total. The same woman was always there and she always smiled at me, asking what I did with all of the tape, my face would split into a sickly sweet smile as I told her a new falsehood every time.
My mother would comment on how she didn't want me to go anywhere by myself because I was too pretty to do so, this was like pouring gasoline onto my forest fire. In the morning when everyone was sleeping, I wrapped one roll of duct tape around my waist so no one could hear the sound; I took it off before my showers at night, water running as pain pushed tears from my eyes and bit the inside of my cheek until I could taste iron flood my gums. I was left with cuts and tears in my skin, flesh tender with torture, still, I mummified my body every morning with duct tape. Sometimes I would do my thighs if I wore leggings or skinny jeans so people would comment on my impressive thigh gap.
After a year of doing this, my midriff looked like a piece of raw steak beaten with a meat tenderizer until it was almost torn apart entirely. I wouldn't even let people touch me in fear that they could feel through my attempt at perfection. I started skipping church. Every weekend I shut myself inside so I could breathe at full capacity while I shut my blinds and stared at my ceiling, my mind went numb with the impending doom that I would suffocate myself with that dreadful silver tape when the bell rang. My whole life I had heard that beauty is pain and that's all I thought this was, I thought that models did similar things and it was just something I had to accept to be beautiful.
Essentially, I had turned into a zombie; my breathing was shallow, and I became pale, clammy, shaking, and nauseous. I couldn't stomach meals. Every night I would wake up around midnight and cough up my guts but I hadn't eaten any food so there was nothing left in me to vomit but bile and eventually blood. I stopped talking to people, I thought it better for them just to look at my pretty long lashes and my tiny little waist than to listen to me tell them I was fine through shaky breaths. My dad was so scared for me, he kept bringing food into my bedroom and would come to collect the uneaten dish when he dropped off the next. He couldn't look at me without crying. It was just his drowsy gaze piercing into my vacant skull while we both swallowed back what we wanted to say, the words dying in our throats, never to be heard.
Everything hurt all of the time, it didn't matter anymore whether I had the duct tape on or not. I almost preferred the feeling of it on so the stinging of the cuts and the soreness of my ribs was shielded by something. One day in PE the teacher asked me to sit out so I did. I tried my best to keep my vision straight and my head up while I watched the other kids play California kickball. It was okay until there was a suffocating feeling, like something was consuming everything in my body like tiny creatures with razor-sharp teeth were cutting their way up my organs. My body began to convulse as I coughed until I fell to my hands and knees, coughing up this invisible force in my throat. The game stopped abruptly and every pair of beady eyes turned to watch me writhe in pain on the dusty gym floor while I clawed at my chest and throat, eager to tear the skin off completely.
Mr. Duke jogged over to me, crouching down to my level and putting a hand on my back. With furrowed eyebrows, he asked what was happening and with nothing more than Ozempic running through my system, I screamed at him to get away from me. That final wave came like a million little hands of wind pushing at the back of my throat until I heaved up the very last of what was left in me. Hands flew over mouths while some gagged at the sickness once inside of me. On that floor was a pile of what looked to be red coffee grounds in a little puddle of cherry wine. I was as terrified as anyone else in the gym, I screamed between heavy sobs while scuttling away from the mess I had made.
I knew that this was the end of me, that I would be taken to a hospital and everyone would know what I had done. I didn't even need to go to the hospital for everyone to know what I had done. Once I had collected myself and began talking frantically in a hushed circle of my friends while we waited for the ambulance, one boy on the hockey team caught a glimpse of shimmering silver beneath my gym strip and snuck up behind me, pulling my shirt up and revealing the secret I carried like a cross I had to bear.
My back laden with strips of duct tape like it was armour was on display to my entire class, my shame shown to what I had perceived to be the entire world. The girls didn't find this so funny but the boys came up with the name of Tape-Face. I remember rushing to the locker room with my friends following close behind, I grabbed scissors from my pencil case and began to cut it off myself, ripping it away madly along with little segments of flesh. My friends watched in horror, they just stood like it was a game of wax museum and I was the security guard there to punish whichever moved first.
In the hospital, I couldn't face my parents, not even the doctor, I kept my eyes locked on my lap. I couldn't see their stares but I could certainly feel them digging into me like a frog on a dissection table. My mom was utterly speechless and my dad spoke only through voice cracks and subtle sobs while he brought me soggy sandwiches from the cafe on the first floor.
I took another week off school because I could predict the painfully true rumours and when I finally set foot back into the school, it was worse than I anticipated. I felt hideous, like a pig that had been chugging back lard in my t-shirt, sweatpants, and perfectly average body. My friends were hesitant to eat around me and tiptoed around the incident like it had never happened which almost felt worse than bringing it up. Others were not so kind. A group of kids, guys and girls all mixed together, the kind that stole cigarettes from their parents had waited until I came back to sneak away from class and cover my locker in duct tape. Over top of the tape they scribbled on a dictionary of names they would call me in the hallway "Tape-Face" "Fraud" "Botched" "Duct tape Barbie". One of the girls sat behind me in math and had cut little squares of duct tape to stick them into my hair, I called my mom in the principal's office and cried while the secretary had to cut it out of my hair.
My dad made the decision to pull me out of school, so I started homeschooling but that didn't stop the harassment. We lived close to the school and during lunch and after school kids would throw duct tape wallets and wads of tape onto the porch. My dad's final straw was when someone dropped off a Barbie whose waist and thighs had been wrapped in duct tape in our mailbox. He had contacted not only the school but the parents of the kids several times with no avail to the torment ending anytime soon. He moved us to a new town where I could go to class without anyone knowing the pain I subjected myself to for two years.
I'm in college now and I've never told anyone this. I've cut contact with everyone from that school. One of the bullies tried to reach out and apologize, blaming her behaviour on mental illness but that felt like she had shattered a plate and said sorry, thinking that it would put the plate back together. I told her I didn't forgive her and blocked her. A boy from the hockey team also messaged me, the one who flipped my shirt up. He said he just had a daughter he couldn't imagine her going through what I went through and that he's sorry for what he did. All I had to say was that I hope she doesn't have to go through what he put me through either.

2024.05.18 22:46 AncientRaig Tokugawa or Sherman for secondary license on a Genghis Plasma Thrower build?

I'm starting to feel like a bit of a broken record, but this is the only place I've gotten decent advice so far. My party's primary ranged Striker, a Death's Head, is no longer playing with us and their replacement really wants to play a Heavy Gunner Sherman with the Loza's Plasma Caster that our GM just gave us access to. The build seems solid, but it leaves us doubling up on Heavy Gunner StrikeControllers with no ranged heavy hitter, since I was running a Heavy Gunner Worldkiller with the Krakatoa. After chatting with our new player I decided to swap to a TechnoThumb Plasma Thrower build to keep our party balanced out, but I can't decide whether to go for Tokugawa or Sherman as my secondary license.
Both use Spaceborn 1 so I can move a decent distance without needing to put points into Agility. I could swap it for Vanguard 1 and try to get 2 points of Agility, but both builds rely on Limited systems so dropping Engineering is out of the question and our GM tends to include least one enemy that either hits hard or has some way to counter my armor, so dropping Hull leaves me uncomfortably vulnerable. And I'm not convinced that 8 Evasion will be a significant difference to 6 Evasion, even with near constant soft cover from Furiosa.
The first build is the closest to actually filling the shoes of our missing Death's Head, as it's a fairly straightforward Genghis/Tokugawa Striker build that uses LUCIFIER and NuCav 2 to crank up the Plasma Thrower's damage output when needed while Deep Well, BT, and NuCav 3 sort of keep the heat generation in check. Heatfall makes the Superheavy action economy a little less painful, SBD for more heat cap so I can get the most damage possible out of LUCIFER without exploding (much).
-- HA “Worldkiller” Genghis Mk I @ LL6 -- [ LICENSES ] HA Genghis 3, HA Tokugawa 3 [ CORE BONUSES ] Heatfall Coolant System, Superior by Design [ TALENTS ] Technophile 3, Nuclear Cavalier 3, Black Thumb 2, Spaceborn 1 [ STATS ] HULL:4 AGI:0 SYS:0 ENGI:4 STRUCTURE:4 HP:19 ARMOR:3 STRESS:4 HEATCAP:14 REPAIR:6 TECH ATK:-2 LIMITED:+2 SPD:3 EVA:6 EDEF:8 SENSE:5 SAVE:13 [ WEAPONS ] Integrated: Fuel Rod Gun MAIN MOUNT: Annihilator MAIN MOUNT: SUPERHEAVY WEAPON BRACING HEAVY MOUNT: Plasma Thrower [ SYSTEMS ] Enlightenment-Class NHP, Personalizations, Deep Well Heat Sink, LUCIFER-Class NHP x4
The second build tries to retain some use as an area-denial Controller by swapping Tokugawa for Sherman. ASURA and Heatfall lets it abuse the action economy as hard as possible, while Redundant Systems Upgrade and Adaptive Reactor makes repeatedly overheating while A Pleasure To Burn is active an actually viable tactic to restrict enemy movement and deal some additional damage. I debated swapping Heatfall for Intergrated Ammo Feeds for more uses of RSU, but TechnoThumb and NuCav 3 can probably handle most of my normal heat management needs and 3 uses seems like it would be enough for most deployments.

2024.05.18 22:33 DCtomb Witcher 3 insanity physics (Next Gen 4.04)

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything else like this. I'll try to mention any relevant info. It is on W3 Next Gen, I do play with mods but nothing that affects the physics of the game (all of them are appearance mods and just edit meshes and such). I play with a 144FPS cap on a 144hz monitor at 1440p.
The issue I'll experience is insane physics from time to time. I'll be slashing a drowner for example, and when I get the kill occassionally the body will literally ragdoll across the screen lol. I'll end up looting the drowner where it died and it's body will be halfway across Velen. It's also noticeable for certain items that aren't fixed, like a lootable barrel is fine, but I was doing a quest and came across a skull, entire pelvis, and a random long bone. When my Geralt stepped over the pelvis, it rattled around having a seizure then shot across the screen.
So it's just little issues like that. I did do some light searching on seeing if anyone else had the issue. Someone mentioned it might be due to the frame rate but was unsure how to fix it. I suppose I'll mention Geralt's hair and others looks a little wonky and blows in wacky directions all the time but I'm not sure if thats related to the aforementioned issue, or a separate one with Nvidia Hairworks (which I have on) and I'm just unfamilair with it, as I've never used that feature in a game before.
Any help or direction is appreciated.
