This is for DISCUSSION! Not to throw shade or stir up anything! Just a thought I wanted to toss out!
SF6 is the first Street Fighter I've played online and put some time in ranked. Putting that as a caveat that I am new to the ranked scene. Also putting the CAVEAT that this suggestion is for RANKED, play one game or a set of twenty in casual - who cares.
It seems some of the major argument I keep seeing from people in defense of leaving after a one and done is "something might have come up", "I don't owe you the FT2", "bad connection", "it takes 30 seconds to find another game", and a lot of ways of framing "I'm not a coward." Which to be honest. These are all valid.
On the other hand the game is clearly set up for a FT2 in ranked. So if all the above reasons are real? Just adjust point gains? This would help defuse one of the major arguments against people leaving - that you are afraid to lose your points and you just don't want to risk losing / losing again.
- THIS IS THE QUICKEST DIRTIEST MATH EVER - math is also based on a semi- ELO system, of points lost and gained being equal if both players rematch, just for ease of discussion.
Adjust points for leaver by lets say a max of 50%?
Example:

Player A wins. Player B loses.
- Both rematch.
  - Player A (+100)
  - Player B (-100)
- Player A rematch. Player B quits.
  - Player A (+100) - gets what they earned / had. No Bonus.
  - Player B (-125) - players takes a small (25%) penalty for mitigating risk and not finishing set.
- Player A quits. Player B rematches.
  - Player A (+25) - Takes large penalty. Still gets points, if connection was bad etc. then should still be fine because still leaves with points. But takes penalty for large mitigation of risk.
  - Player B (-50) - Has no chance to recoup points but still leaves with a loss on points.

Additional info:

Like stated above this is not true ELO, and would have to be adjusted to be much harsher for MR since there has to be equal loss and gain of points.
Quit / Rematch screen would need to be adjusted so player could not see others choice in order to not have people drain the clock and not chose something hoping to get points / no lose as many points.
I did this in like 10 mins and am just posting for discussion!

I have not been playing DF much. I played the beginning then I got bored for multiple reasons, the primary being the lore and the setting that didn't click with me.
So I only kept my subscription for classic and RolePlay.
Now MoP remix releases so I thought I'd give it a shot. And it's so fun.
First of all, Pandaria is one of the best zones they have ever released. Quests are fun, lore is great, thematics are good, the music is insane and the world is beautiful for it's age.
The best thing is that EVERYTHING you do makes you progress both in rewards and levels. Even killing mobs.
Do quests ? Get bronze and threads. Do scenarios and dungeons ? Same. Raids ? Same.
And you get very cool transmog doing it.
I am calling it out, if this type of gameplay becomes the norm in TWW, I am coming back to retail.

Hi, everyone. So here is the situation, I would like to play some online coop games with my friend, mainly gears of war 1,2,3. Myb to try even versus mode or something similiar. We bought xbox 360 before and recently xbox one s. Since we live in unsupported region for xbox, we set up console region on xbox one s for Turkey and made an account that has Turkey region. On that account we bought game pass ultimate. So we would like to also use that account on xbox 360, so basically to use online features on both consoles throught that one account. I downloaded/signed in that account on xbox 360. That xbox 360 is set up to France region(we bought it that way) and when I sign into that Turkey region account, on my xbox 360 says:
"Xbox Live is not available on consoles in your region"
Both Turkey and France are supported regions on 360.
Does anyone knows how to fix this or some other way how to try to play on both consoles through multiplayer?
Do I need to change xbox 360 to Turkey region bcs the account is on Turkey region? Also, when I sign into french account on xbox 360, I can't buy xbox gold live on 360, how to buy it before store closes?

2024.05.17 13:52 Dry_Associate_9244 Thoughts on the western regions vs eastern

This comes after the MSI Series today which i will not spoil for anyone so go ahead and watch the series if you want to know what happened.
As to this post i just wanted to discuss a few opinions i had about the western regions vs the eastern region as it seems the west is just years behind the east which is crazy especially after the east dominating the game for 13 years since they joined the competitive scene in season 2.
I feel like there are some key issues and differences between the western teams and the eastern teams.
The first issue i see is that regions like NA and EU seem to only have one competitive team which absolutely hurts them because they go to international tournaments and get smashed by eastern teams that play in a competitive region where they are consistently under pressure and always playing vs top players.
NA and EU have really weak teams when you look at 2nd seeds down which comes down to organisations that play in the leagues. It feels like the pro players in the lower seed teams don't improve at all and they are happy just being along for the ride. They only know how to play 2/3 champs max and they don't expand. The orgs need to change their process and start becoming more competitive. Could this be due to the fact that there is nothing for them to lose if they finish last ? like they just come back next split and take the 10th seed again without any improvement.
While i understand that riot put in place rules to make sure that orgs in the LCS/LEC can financially support their player etc i feel like the older system where bottom two/three teams should be demoted to the academy leagues and let academy teams promote to the main tournament. This will give the teams a kick to actually push for wins and practice harder rather than just spamming games for no reason.
Another issue is that the player champion mechanics and champion pools are years behind the east. If you look at the eastern players they can pull out almost any champion and play it to the best of it's ability where are the west player can't do the same. When you watch pros play on streams they just spam games and don't really consider improvement at all.
I feel like the pros should be given champions by the coach that they need to play and learn how to become great players on multiple champs rather than just 2/3. Each team should have a few analysts that help players review individual game play in solo queue as well as team games and help them improve champion mechanics. This would help the players actually improve as it seems they always lose out on the smallest of things that turn the tide of the games.
Another issue is that western teams only team fight and win those fights when it's set up perfectly for them which is almost never the case as the perfect opportunities are rare in this type of game. The eastern teams are always willing to take a fight and they trust their individual skills and the skills of their team mates to win a fight from behind. Western teams stand no chance when from behind and they slowly beed out. I feel like working on team play and practicing team play, position etc needs a lot more work from the western teams.
Player pool for each role again makes it hard to the top teams to perform internationally. For example take the likes of APA or Caps who are strong midlane players. They have no real competition that would let them consistently play vs players at their level or the level of fakechovy etc while they perform on the internationall stage individually the rest of the team doesn't because their roles are not as competitive in EU the bot, jungle and toplane roles have next to no competition as they are dominated by 1 player.
Maybe EU/NA need to import better coaches from the LCK and the LPL and let them structure how the team trains and plays to be more like the east ?
for 13 years the western style of play has not work and it's still not working. You cant tell me that what the western teams are doing is correct otherwise they'd win international tournaments or at least they'd always get to the top 4 slots. NA especially has soo much money pumped into it but they can't compete ?

So the fact is that old siege was quite more detailed and i was hoping to make my game more similiar to old siege smh, but i play on a 2k monitor 165hz and with a 1080ti and when i try to play max settings my fps just drops way down under 165 fps. Right now im almost diamond so i was wondering if this would mess up my skills smh. Pls let me know 🙏

I have an old Philips TV running Android version 5.1.1. I once had updated its "Google Play Services" via ADB using an APK, because it wasn't letting me sign into my Google account. After the update I signed in successfully, had installed apps, and it was running fine. This is almost 6 months back, and since then we have a new TV.
Now, I see that old TV got an error suddenly and got back to factory settings. I have again updated the Google Play services, but I'm wondering - is there a way to directly update"Android Version" itself via APK? If yes, how do I know which APK will work - I tried few and it said "unsuccessful, old SDK".
Like I said, it's running on Android 5.1.1 right now, and I am sure it won't be able to get updated beyond a certain version.
Q1) How do I know which is the highest Android version it can get updated to?
Q2) Where do I get the APK from?
Q3) Will installing that APK of Android, replace the existing Google Play service also (I prefer it does)

I came home from school and thought of playing some cry of fear I started my game and wanted to click on "options" to change setting and accidentally clicked resume game, normally id would take me to the "load game" screen but instead the screen went white, as I spawned in it showed my that the level I whas in whas called "where am I" there were no cassette tape players so I died and whas put back to the title screen, there were also afraid of monsters references like at one door it said "if I?" In afraid of monsters style. I searched about it in Google but got nothing maybe somebody knows anything about this level? (Also srry if I made some writing mistakes I am not very good at English)

I’ve had my 15PM since October, and my USB-C port drops connections at the slightest movement of my phone or cable and/or constantly disconnects/reconnects itself. This happens with the original cable that came with my phone, and high quality Anker cables in my car. It has happened since I got the phone, and has gotten worse now. I’ve tried hard resets, erase content/settings, a full restore (when I could get it to stay connected to my laptop), keep current software, etc. It’s made CarPlay nearly unusable unless I can somehow get my phone in a cup holder so it doesn’t move, without it disconnecting first. Or if I’m lying down and it’s sitting next to me - I move my arm, connection drops. No water exposure, no dust or lint in the port. It’s so frustrating.
So my point of this post: I chatted with Apple Support and I have AppleCare+ w/ Loss & Theft. They want me to send it in for repair and mailed me a box to ship it to them. That means I don’t have a phone for a few days. Has anyone gotten a replacement phone for this issue instead? I remember express replacements used to cost when I did it for my iPhone 6 Plus with a cracked screen - but this should be a warranty issue. I’m about an hour and a half away from the nearest Apple Store, so that’s not really an option either.

Hey! What's up fellow adventurers! I'm a 30 year old guy from Norway, who's currently looking for a new game of DnD!
I have experience as both player and DM. I've played for about 3 years, in 3 long term campaigns that each lasted over a year, as well as the occasional mini-campaign and oneshots. I've also dm'd a few oneshots myself whenever the main dm's needed a break. I also don't mind helping new players to learn the game!
It's been a while since my last game ended and I've recently been getting the itch to start playing again. So I'm looking for a long term, weekly campaign set in a classic high/dark fantasy setting, with an equal focus on combat, exploration and roleplay. I also tend to put some effort into my characters backstory, but I've only played in 1 campaign where it was actually relevant, so it would be nice to join a game that takes the players backstories into account but it's not a deal breaker.
I am NOT interested in pbp, west marches or ongoing campaigns.
Coming from a land of introverts, I'll admit I can be a bit shy and quiet at first, but once I'm used to the group dynamic I usually get along very well.
Outside of DnD I'm really into a variety of videogames, sci-fi and fantasy, fishing and hiking/camping!
I don't work due to disability, so my schedule is very flexible!

It used to be that while a Sonos speaker was playing media from your iPhone via AirPlay, your system volume setting would control the speaker. Now I have to go into the Sonos app to control it. Which means all my iPhone shortcuts and automations are broken….
