Hello, like many in this thread i’m having an issue with my G1 lights (the one with no camera i think h6609). Anyways, the lights seem to be working perfectly fine until i try to enter “dream view” mode. Tutorials online say when calibrating to match up the colors to what you see in person. Only issue is, whenever i try to calibrate, it just does a rainbow fade around my whole monitor … there’s nothing to visibly specifically see and calibrate. and then when i press “preview” the lights just start flickering intensely like a strobe light.
I don’t want to return them, but id rather do that then have some regular old LEDs behind my monitor. That’s not what i ordered …
Would love some help. Thanks yall !

i’m not diagnosed with any autoimmune disorders but i have a fair amount of markers / symptoms that are apparently related to / in the realm of an autoimmune disorder. i wanted to reach out here to see if y’all had any advice on how to seek out treatment / how to get tested / any other advice given the set of symptoms i have.
for the past 3ish years i’ve been exhausted, extreme fatigue that isn’t remedied with any amount of sleep and makes getting through any day a very difficult task. i get blood pooling in my legs when i stand still and upright for a few minutes, which leads to me getting light headed and seeing spots / fainting (this is remedied by wearing compression socks). irregular heartbeat occasionally, typically accompanied by the blood pooling / dizziness. i never have “normal” bowl movements, nor consistent ones. some days i’ll go 7 times, others it’ll just be once. they’re never the staple “healthy” looking stools. i get frequent debilitating stomach cramps that encompass my entire abdomen and last all day, sometimes spanning more than a day, and make me unable to stand up straight without severe pain. i also have psoriasis in some parts of my body. i get hot red splotches on my face, chest, arms and stomach a couple of times a month. i am frequently nauseous (almost daily) and have a sensitivity to gluten. three years ago i was throwing up multiple times a week till the point that i threw up blood and got an endoscopy done. it showed my stomach lining being very torn up and bloody and unhealthy, but i never followed up (i haven’t had an episode like that since).
i’ve been told to look into pots which i tested negative for. i’ve been told to look into possible thyroid issues, lupus and chrons, but i’m honestly really lost and confused. it’s been something dragging me down for the past 3 years and it’s been too overwhelming to try to go to the doctor to figure it out since i have no sense of direction. it’s obvious it’s not getting any better, so any words of advice / guidance on what threads i should follow or steps to take would be amazing. thank you for your time!

I've seen a lot of mixed reviews about this monitor, so I wanted to share my own experience. Previously, I used the Dell 2721DGFA. The IPS glow on that monitor drove me crazy, and the contrast ratio was terribly low. I could never get the colors, especially red, to look right. So, I decided to upgrade to something that would give me true HDR and better contrast. I was torn between the LG 27GR95QE-B and FALD panels. However, the coating on the LG was terrible, and the brightness was unacceptable. QD-OLED models are either unavailable or outrageously overpriced, so I went for the AOC Q27G3XMN.
There is a noticeable red tint on this monitor, but reducing the red value to 45 worked for me. I have the BK model, which doesn’t have an sRGB clamp, so I use novideo_srgb (same as I did with the Dell). The Windows 11 HDR tool was essential for HDR setup. If I want to use the sRGB color space, I disable HDR in Windows and turn off local dimming on the monitor (it remembers the local dimming setting for HDR and non-HDR modes). Compared to the old Dell, the contrast is night and day.
This monitor is paired with a PC meant solely for gaming, so I tested it with Diablo 4 first, as I was most concerned about dark smearing in such a dark game. While there is some ghosting, it didn’t bother me, and the trade-off for better contrast is more than worth it. I've seen concerns about input lag with VRR and HDR enabled, and I'm highly sensitive to input lag, but I didn’t notice any. VRR flickering, often mentioned, is present but very rare; for example, in Diablo, I cap the FPS at 65, and it occasionally appears when I open the map but is hardly noticeable.
Viewing angles do change the color and contrast, but I resolved this by raising the monitor (I have a desk arm) compared to the Dell by 2cm and tilting it 1-2 degrees upwards, so my eyes are directly in the center. I sit at an arm's length distance from the monitor.
HDR performance is excellent. Due to Windows 11’s implementation, it needs to be configured for each game, but the pop and brightness during explosions provide fantastic immersion. I also tested HDR video, such as this one. Blooming is negligible with ambient room lighting and the local dimming set to medium. Other demos also look fantastic, with impressive colors, contrast, and brightness. I was amazed by the black levels of this panel; I’d say it’s 90% of an OLED, if not better. My wife, who uses an OLED for work but isn't technically inclined, couldn't tell if it was an OLED or not.
Oh, and the price was €450, which is significantly higher than what it sells for elsewhere in the world, but I don’t think I could get anything better for the same price or even €200 more. The OSD controls are awful, but once set up, you don’t have to mess with them much.

So I had some stomach issues about a year ago that ended in me getting an ultrasound on my abdomen and a stool sample. Both found nothing. I suspect it was a lingering foodborne illness. One thing they did mention is that I do have a fatty liver. I assume because I am so overweight. I have since lost 35 lbs and still working hard.
The question I have is, do you think it would be safe to start a drug like Methotrexate for severe plaque psoriasis since I have a fatty liver? I am reading this drug may be quite hard on the liver. The problem is in my Country, I have to try light therapy and then Methotrexate for me to be able to get a biologic like Skyrizi covered since it is so expensive. Light therapy worked years ago but it no longer does.
Just curious on your thought.
I did just recently get some bloodwork and my Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT) & Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP) are within normal range.

I bleached my hair back in May 2023, I believe I did 2 rounds of bleach baths (on processed hair but from like 7 months ago), I could've done a real round of bleach that I can't remember but I'm pretty sure both times were bleach baths. I lifted to my hair to around a level 8-7 and dyed over that (permanent dye) with a dark ash blonde. Every few months or so between May and December I would go over it with more permanent dye to keep my medium/dark blonde or light brown (I used ION permanent and sometimes I used boxed dye) until I dyed it dark brown in December with box dye and I've left it alone ever since. Now I want to go back to a medium or dark blonde and I'm wondering if I should use color oops first, and then bleach, or if I should just go with bleach baths like I did last time. I don't mind not being able to lift it really light because my goal is a medium blonde, dark blonde, or light brown. Let me know what I should do, or if it's a lost cause.

[WTS] Vintage Waterman's Ink Vue in Silver Ray Celluloid LF w/ 14K Ideal "RED" Keyhole Fine Flexible Nib (D)...... The pen has been rated a "D" due to brassing on the lever, as well as the lever doesn't sit flush with the barrel, part of it drops in just a 16th of an inch, but the lever assy still functions as it should. The pen also has a replacement ink sac installed, as the original had ossified, other than that, this pen is in really good shape. The cap still has the medallion on the final with the Waterman's Logo on it. The cap band has some light wear, as does the clip, but there is no visible plating loss. The barrel is in good shape, with crisp imprints, and the celluloid is still has nice luster and depth. The barrel has a nice stepped final. The pen has a 14K Ideal "RED" Keyhole #5 Fine Flexible Nib. The nib lays down a nice fine line with normal pressure, and flexes with moderate pressure to over a triple broad at 1.67mm (See writing sample in album). The pen is a very nice writer, and has nice flexibility. A perfect len for those who wish to give their writing expressiveness.

After more than a month of tweaking, I finally finished a new version of my low-contrast light theme for Visual Studio Code — Squirrelsong:

New and more cohesive grayscale palette, better UI readability and visual hierarchy, fewer distractions, lots of new colors.
I can’t use dark themes, and most light themes because the contrast is too high and colors are too bright. Such colors are too distracting for me, and I quickly get tired — not something you want if your job is to write code all day. Squirrelsong theme is low-contrast and uses soft colors, but still provide enough color and style variety to distinguish various elements of the code and avoid long chains of code printed in the same style.

I created the first version of this theme long before I learned about my neurodiversity, long before I learned that bright colors are, indeed, not good for my brain, and I need softer and milder colors and UI with fewer distractions.

This might be the only color theme made specifically for neurodiverse and highly-sensitive developers, at least I haven’t seen any other so far…

Dear James, have you seen the 1992 film "Pure Country"? It's a good watch with some thoughtful reflections. It"s about a musician who gets burnt out on the lights, smoke, loud band, screaming fans and huge crowds. He realizes stripping it down to the minimum is exactly what renewed his love for music and caught the attention of his fans on a deeper level. SJ's script writing is over the top and sounds inauthentic. We see her mother you, micromanage you, your team, listeners and members. It's not your show anymore, it's really not.
Season 1 was minimal, raw and my impression of the real you. It was good! Season 2, very similar and your fan base grew. Season 3, when SJ took over, your show turned into the inside of a black bald face hornets nest. Queen bee bossing orders and then knocking off her worker bees when they got too close to figuring out her true colors. Maybe consider taking it back to the minimum, authentic James. Sara was working on other cases on the side while still actively in Season 3. Right around the same time she didn't get episodes written in time for you. Her loyalty doesn't seem to be for you or Hide and Seek. I'm gonna make a prediction that it won't be long before she dumps you anyway and branches out on her own. Maybe I'm wrong, it won't matter because I won't even know.

All this has came to me as I am 25 years old. I have lived a hard walk of life, having to survive and experience a strong battle of the lost to not allow my light to be consumed for that Is the key! To not be connsumed but to merge into one! This earth experience this machine the weather is us the water the waves the river all a relation to human life & every life there is a dark like in almost all ways bright to dark good and evil etc Ying and yang! I came to a strong relization and this was a deep awakening, it was not entirely present I was faced deeply with many emotions and uncomfortable feelings as my life was all transitioning almost like all was falling apart and a shedding was happening a transition and I couldn't help it, the moment I turned 25 I sat by the water I cried I cried and cried, my job gone , the guy I was with was a total ass reflecting on to me so much of his unhealed tangled web inside himself still blinded to the teachers and avoiding the facing of these emotions. I had realized suddenly how much my daughter loves me and truthfully that was the first time I had experienced true unconditional love strange that it took a little bit, I have been a single mom alone this entire time, I have always been insightful but I just couldn't understand why or what was going on so being me I just felt I felt I felt and felt I was tapping into the shadow and allowing my feelings to be guides, it was emotinal brutal a time I felt a isolation an okayness with letting go knowing and feeling it was time basically a rebirth, I came to the understanding that I was truly fallowing my intuition and falling closer into my light. I began to have absolutely a large amount of synchronicites & unexplanable happens, good kept coming to me and I kept pushing forth. I have had strange yet strong beautiful insightful conversations with strangers as thought they had crossed my path in the most organic flow, it was not until today as I was sitting in my bathroom I then realized that the key is merging it is merging 2 into 1 as we are one, this earth experience is a challenge almost it's to not be connsumed, light is essentially spirit to me, light is a warmth and comfort almost a feeling of home, I never had home, but I undedstood this & that it is key to understand we are bolth & are feelings all of them are a language that is in music color sounds all are senses it's all around it's in all of life, this merging is a inner healing . We have the ability to heal are self's with the earth experience & just Iike the earth all is in us to do so, I believe that light is to me God, The human salt lamp is a healer a transformer echoing into this ripple hopeing to spread a brighter to heal even this planet, world are planet is also a life form just like us, I belive some get so lost there light is so consumed by light they may burn out and that part I'm still seeking the answer but we who have remained and conquered and fall.closer to are light will be apart of a acending to a Place where we merge into a 1, a eternal realm of love and light, it's almost like we all become one big spirit and mabey that is the spirit of God I'm not sure but I belive this is heaven. It's to turn 2 into 1 and mabey that becomes zero and thru the zero as "0" is essentially a portal, beginning a new entire universe I just don't know what happens to thoese left behind mabey we carry a bit of them within are self's as we are all a ripple to this entire experience every single little thing makes all the diffrenece I cried and for the first time I felt that was my home, that I get it and it so beautiful and I'll never feel alone. It's all been worth it and I'm so happy to be Alive today and how beautiful for me to have a daughter that I can shine my light twords allowing her to feel her feelings and do my best to not let her be consumed by the world, i have been and seen almost everything. Yet this beauty it all brought me to tears and tears of I'm so lucky to get this. I'm so lucky to be gifted with this awakening
