At this point, I was really confused based on the spelling and grammatical errors. This immediately made me raise my eyebrows. It sucks being a student in the current job market state, because we are almost desperate enough to fall for these type of scams, which is what these scammers know and why they do this to begin with. It’s also tough because this was in my spam folder to my encrypted school email, so when you get an email like this to your school email you fall for it easier.

I have recieved a letter from hmrc about suspected non declared rental income.
I live in my own mortgaged home with my wife and baby since 2017. We had my sister and brother in law move in with us due to their personal circumstances just before covid and to help them out I did not request any contributions for the household costs etc during this time.
Then from late 2021 when they both got back on their feet they started as way of paying us back for looking after them during a very tough time. They started covering my monthly mortgage amount with us covering all other expenses for the household (I have very low loan to value and monthly mortgage is circa £450per month but market rents in similar houseshare situation would be double this with bills on top for houseshares here locally). Also later on my sister started covering gas and electric bills and c.tax as well since they both work full time and my wife is a stay at home mum with just me working.
We all get along and tbh it's working well we have a large house and enjoy the company and don't mind them staying as long as they want to since they are able to save up for their own home e.g. like a child moving back in with parents but this tax headache was unforeseen.
I never thought this would be classed as rental income as was just helping out my sister but seems hmrc is of opinion this should have been declared. Never had to deal with anything like this tbh as I earn via salaried employment which is taxed through paye.
I have done some research and there is the rent a room scheme I believe if this is classed as renting that I would qualify under in our case and the mortgage payments would equate to less than the 7.5k tax threshold but not sure if when they started also paying bills if that would also be included which would take it over and I'm assuming I owe tax on this portion. I make all the payments and they reimburse me so is no profit.
Also not sure about if I will need to do a tax return to cover this, and if so is a backdated one allowed for the prev tax yrs, is an accountant required for this or is this something I can sort out myself bearing in mind this is already making me quiet worried/stressed.

I recently purchased a new (to me) vehicle and before purchasing I had the seller bring it to an auto mechanic in their area for a pre purchase inspection as I live about four hours from the seller so was not able to inspect it myself. Not content with the service I paid for, I disputed it with my CC company (Barclays) and they found me in favor and refunded the charge. Two months go by and I log in and the charge has been rebilled to my account. I called the CC and they said the shops provided "evidence" that the services were provided. The CC company sent me a letter and said I will have to reply by mail. Living in the living room allowed me to get closer to my family but I hope colleges can see that algebra 2 hw may have been difficult for me to complete at the time.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this but I wanted to put it out here to be sure.
My co-adventurer and I have been playing for a little while and we've gone back-and-forth on our interpretation of Sojourn. The initial condition, when you spend time in a community seeking assistance - it is referring to the PC or PCs being the one(s) seeking assistance, right? It's not the community that is seeking assistance (though that would come into play if you take the Provide Aid action)? I've done a little searching around and didn't see any posts with this same question so maybe I'm overthinking it.
The first time we used this move, I believe we used it correctly because we were hiding in a village (which you may have heard if you happened to listen to episode 4 of the Adventure Engines podcast), but then we second-guessed ourselves and decided that we used it incorrectly and have been debating the correct usage whenever the move comes up.
If anyone can validate my interpretation (that we are the ones seeking assistance) I'd appreciate the insight!

I posted in the Daily "Help Me Choose" thread and got a few recommendations on fruity floral perfumes to check out. The ones suggested are definitely on the pricier side, so I'm planning a Scent Split Sample order as I don't think I could find these in any of the stores near me.
For reference, I treat myself to a new perfume every year for my birthday. I usually just go to Sephora or Ulta, spray all the samples, and choose which one smells best to me. But as I'm now in my early 30s, I want to do a bit more research than that, and find something I will really love/has good lasting power and sillage.

It’s one of my favorites sound-wise, but I’m curious to know what’s being said. I searched for any scrap of lyrics so I could Google Translate it to get the gist, but couldn’t find any. Bit of a (fun) interruption to my turbulent day thanks to u/RachaelJurassic whose recent comment inspired me to go ahead with this deep dive into an often shared but rarely focused on aspect of Mary's character - her relationship with books.

Early in season 1, in the second episode, we see Edith snooping around Mary's things, and what she does is she reads a letter Mary kept in a book.
Said book by the way is Daisy in the Field, by Elizabeth Wetherell. The book is no longer in print, it was considered very much "feminine reading" at the time (even though modern female critics have gone back to such books and re-evaluated them as much more significant that the men of the time would lead us to believe), and it was a coming-of-age story during the American Civil War, with strong religious and anti-slavery messages.
So, Mary informs her mind with progressive reading material for the time, and she uses her books as a way to keep her life private. Both in the sense that she keeps her letters there, which we see her do again in episode 3, when she puts another letter from Evelyn in the book she was reading:

Pay attention to the wording: I've been STUDYING the story of Andromeda.
Not reading, studying. She used that story to assert herself as good at offering her opinion and bettering her mind as any man, since studying Greek Literature was something only men would normally be allowed to do, and she used it to also test Matthew's more Refined characteristics, as studying Greek literature was also something only the upper classes usually did.
She also uses books against her father when he criticizes Tom's reading material "Papa prefers the servants to read the Bible and Letters from Home", basically mocking Robert (who was normally much more open-minded than this) for wanting to censor Tom's reading material (Ruskin and Marx etc)/ban him from expanding his mind, something that Mary herself clearly indulged in and wouldn't want to stop anyone from doing so as well.
We also get some fun insight into what kind of books her and Matthew are into, Matthew clearly knowing Kipling quite well and quoting his line from "The Cat that Walked by Himself" with ease, and more than that, without explaining himself further, simply expecting Mary to understand exactly what he meant, about their relationship and why it couldn't be anything other than friendship while he was in a wheelchair, as well as why he thought so little of himself. Probably because they had discussed Kipling before and he knew she'd recognise it for what it was.

She does the same with him when she confesses the story of Mr Pamuk and goes on to say "I’m Tess of the d'Urbervilles to your Angel Claire. I have fallen. I am impure.", very dramatic for Mary but it draws a laugh out of Matthew because obviously, she can't be saying that literally that book is SO dramatic and over the top.
And I bet they've discussed it and he knows she hates it because she pushes the sarcasm behind her words so hard here, which is why he tells her "don't joke". The words of a man who's been at the receiving end of at least one feminist rant re: said book by this exact same woman. Hi, I want to make a nuget package which helps with working with nopCommerce plugin development...
Basically when making plugins you have to have the following structure in the .csproj:

  net8.0 SOME\_COPYRIGHT YOUR\_COMPANY SOME\_AUTHORS PACKAGE\_LICENSE\_URL PACKAGE\_PROJECT\_URL REPOSITORY\_URL Git ..\\..\\Presentation\\Nop.Web\\Plugins\\PLUGIN\_OUTPUT\_DIRECTORY $(OutputPath) Set this parameter to true to get the dlls copied from the NuGet cache to the output of your project. You need to set this parameter to true if your plugin has a nuget package to ensure that the dlls copied from the NuGet cache to the output of your project true enable      This target execute after "Build" target  Delete unnecessary libraries from plugins path    

Basically, as you can see it adds a project reference (sometimes there are more...).
Now I want to make a nuget package that would assist developers with doing something very repetitive and unmaintainable in nopCommerce, but I would heavily rely on usage of their services and stuff... So basically I would also have to have a dependency... But I don't know how that would work... I don't want to upload all nopCommerce assemblies to nuget and also then download them again, because if you are using like supposed to they should already be in the plugin you are developing... (you would just install the nuget package in the plugin project)... Yes I know another option is just having the codebase in the .csproj and just share it, but I don't think it would look very nice, since it would be a lot of code, and then you have to add it to git and so on... So is there another way to achieve what I want???
And also, they now use .NET8 and previously used .NET7... How could I make my package backwards compatible??
