As a hockey observer, I always felt uneasy about a team that is named after a Devil. Sure they claim it is not Satanic and named after some "Jersey Devil" creature (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jersey\_Devil) that is some folklore creature, but if you dig into it, this folklore creature is a Satanic one, however, one wants to downplay it. How is it ok to represent that name with the logo with horns? How is that not representing the devil? Sure there's nothing evil in a team, but I think it's dangerous even "for fun" to represent that, I know the team owners don't have any bad intentions, I just think it's distasteful and unnecessary. Evil is not something to be treated lightly in my opinion.
I'm wondering if I'm looking to much into this or my concern is a legitimate one. Hey everybody,
Some time months ago I dropped a review for the Strength of Thousands adventure path, it got a kind reception from this sub so I’m back again with a review of Blood Lords. Like last time we ran through all six books, usually meeting 6 hours a week to play. I’m going to talk a little bit about each book and what stood out about them, as well as observations I have on the AP as a whole. Apologies for my inevitable grammar mistakes.
I meant to post this months ago, but I got very sidetracked by life. Anyway, let’s get into it.
Warning: there will be massive spoilers for this AP, skip to the bottom for a TL;DR and score out of ten
I allowed my players Free Archetype on the condition that they use it on one of the undead archetypes. Our party composition over the course of the campaign was:
Dwarf Mummy Fighter
Human Ghoul Sorcerer -> Human Skeleton Barbarian
Human Zombie Ranger -> Human Vampire Investigator
Human Summoner -> Human Bard -> Human Ghost Summoner (it was the original summoner returned as a ghost)
Synopsis:
The main draw of Blood Lords is that the PCs are citizens of the primarily undead nation of Geb, ruled by the ghost king of the same name. They start as unremarkable rank and file and eventually work their way through Geb’s government to become heads of state, the titular Blood Lords. The primary conflict of the adventure is a poisoning plot enacted by the nation’s second most powerful political figure, Chancellor Kemnebi.
That said, let’s get into the book-by-book breakdown!
Book One: Zombie Feast
This book does a good job of introducing the PCs to the dour but intriguing nation of Geb. It also introduces their relationship with the (living) Blood Lord Berline Haldoli, which lasts through the end of the AP. I’d recommend trying to get the PCs to have a good relationship with her as it will pay off narratively later.
Most notable moment: We actually had what was almost a TPK at the end of this book, in The Crooked Coffin mini-dungeon. The way it’s structured, enemies from one encounter, if not dealt with, will summon reinforcements from other rooms, who can then go on to collect even more reinforcements. I did my best to telegraph which enemies were sounding the alarm, but my players didn’t prioritize going after them. It resulted in what most have been an Extreme level encounter, and two of my PCs bought the farm. I don’t think the encounter was designed badly, my PCs just didn’t prioritize the right things tactically.
Book Two: Graveclaw
The PCs are now on the trail of the Graveclaw coven and its leader Iron Taviah. While Kemnebi is the main villain of the adventure he is in the background for 99% of it, Taviah is more or less the main antagonist for the first half of the AP. My players enjoyed hunting down the disparate members of the coven, and it also took them on a neat little tour of Geb.
Most notable moment: My PCs really enjoyed hunting down the Rust Hag Decrosia in the town of Pagked, which is like the “Little Alkenstar” of Geb. If you happen to have a gunslinger PC, they will probably enjoy this chapter a lot thematically, and it’s probably the most organic opportunity to throw some class-specific loot their way.
Book Three: Field of Maidens
A lot of interesting things go down in this book. One of the most significant things is the introduction of the old graveknight Spymaster Seldeg Bhedlis, much like Berline from book one, the relationship the PCs cultivate with him will have repercussions throughout the rest of the adventure. Iron Taviah is also resurrected as a vampire spawn, leading to a final showdown with her and the PCs. This adventure also brings the PCs to Geb’s borders where they must deal with the interests of other nations who have been drawn to the Field of Maidens for their own reasons. It also feels like the first definitive step the PCs take toward their ultimate destiny as Blood Lords.
Most notable moment: I think the moment that had the biggest impact was the reveal of Kemnebi as the mastermind behind the poisoning plot. As Kemnebi is second only to Geb in the nation’s power structure, the PCs almost couldn’t have made a worse enemy. Even though they are about to become Blood Lords they have an uphill battle between now and the end of the campaign.
Book Four: The Ghouls Hunger
After a bit of performative politicking the PCs are now Blood Lords. Unfortunately for them, new Blood Lords are nothing special in Geb. It’s even implied that people have become Blood Lords due to clerical errors before. The PCs first meeting with Geb is awesome, but it also demonstrates how beneath his notice junior BL’s are. It also introduces Kortash Khain, ruler of the ghoul city of Nemret Noktoria, and though he is only relevant to this book he is a lot of fun.
The primary antagonist of this book is Blood Lord Hyrune and his three stooges, I won’t delve too much into them, suffice to say they are clowns of the highest order. It’s a fun rivalry to cultivate though, and it gets resolved relatively quickly. It also results in the PCs first true demonstration of their competence to Geb.
Most notable moment: Geb publicly calling out Hyrune for being a bitch after the PCs defeat his champions in the arena is pretty great. Even better when he air drops the PCs Hryune’s location and dips out. For all his flaws, a micromanager Geb is not.
Book Five: A Taste of Ashes
Things are getting spicy in the AP at this point. Kemnebi’s machinations and their grave implications are clear, but the PCs have no proof and therefore cannot move against him. This leads them to the metropolis of Yled, a city which has a ton of its own baggage without considering Kemnebi’s plotting.
Most notable moment: There’s a section that takes place in a strange magical playhouse, and the PCs have to act in it. They get lines and everything, it’s pretty amusing.
Book Six: Ghost King’s Rage
At the end of the last book the PCs have what is essentially video evidence of Kemebi’s betrayal. Geb isn’t thrilled about his number two planning a power grab, unsurprisingly. I loved RPing any scene Geb appears in, and this one especially was great fun. It also cements the PCs roles are highly effective agents of the nation and makes it clear that once Kemnebi is out of the way, the PCs are going to replace him in the nation’s power structure.
Also, as part of the ritual components Geb needs to facilitate Kemnebi’s destruction he asks for several optional ritual components. In that vein, he asks you to essentially destroy Seldeg Bhedlis and kill Berline Haldoli, and these two have likely been the PCs most stalwart allies up to this point. There are a number of ways to handle this without offing these two NPCs, but it does create an interesting predicament for the players.
As for the final fight with Kemnebi, my PCs didn’t struggle with it at all. They had taken out his backup bodies prior to fighting him and at this point they were so strong they had an answer to anything he threw at them. Then we had a final scene of Geb letting the nation know the PCs are a pretty big deal. I also had a cameo from the only PC to survive Strength of Thousands here, which was fun.
Most notable moment: The toughest and most epic fight of our run was actually in the first chapter of this book. The PCs have to infiltrate the Boneyard (yes, that Boneyard) to acquire a critically needed soul. The final fight is against what is essentially a psychopomp dragon, and he’s awesome. The difficulty of this fight depends on how effectively the PCs have infiltrated the area, but even on the easiest version of the fight really tested my players.
Things that could use improvement:
-Blood Lords seems like a great AP to let your players use the undead archetypes/ancestries from Book of the Dead, doesn’t it? The player’s guide even says as much. And yet, SO MANY ENEMIES in this AP have abilities that only affect the living. Whether it be ghoul paralysis or negative damage, a fully (or mostly) undead party is going to have a much easier time than a living party. Yet it really feels like they wrote this adventure with a mostly living party in mind. That said, undead PCs are just stronger in general thanks to their extra resistances and there are a few encounters with enemies who do positive damage or are otherwise well-equipped to fight undead. It just seems like a bit of a wasted opportunity to have undead PCs mostly fight other undead.
-Kemnebi was a total pushover, my PCs got whiplash beating him so quickly after the absolute monster that was the final boss of SoT.
Positives:
-My fighter PC looted a magical scythe from the zombie “boss cow” of the first dungeon and upgraded and used it throughout the entire AP. A good example of a solid game mechanic working as intended.
-I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again. Geb the character is awesome. Shoutout to Khortash for being equally compelling. I also liked Seldeg a lot.
-A lot of thought was put into the worldbuilding with Geb and how a nation of undead might function socially and economically, it's neat.
In conclusion:
Ultimately it was a fun ride, and it was very different from every other Pathfinder campaign I’ve run. If I had to stack it up against SoT, I’d probably say my players and I enjoyed that one slightly more. But both adventures are great, and I would easily recommend either of them.
Final score: 7/10
Also (because I took so long to post this) we’ve also cleared Fist of the Ruby Phoenix in the interim, which is probably my group’s favorite AP that we’ve completed. I’ll try and throw up a review for that one of these days.

Just wanted to make a little write up for what’s going down as one of my favorite games of this generation.
Oh man… my expectations for this game was pretty low due to having never played a Shift Up game, and because this was their console debut. That changed fast once I got to Eidos 7. The music, the enemy design, the visuals, all just meshed into something that felt special to me. Arriving at xion felt particularly special, I mean it literally has like 5+ amazing songs ready for you to hear. I simply found a special peace doing side quests. I was very relaxing for me, even the simple ones, but then you also have some that open whole new zones to explore. You are always rewarded for your efforts generously and the vibe is always there.
One thing I didn’t expect was how GREAT the open zone design is. Their are loose paths that lead to gear, side quests, and even combat challenges. The combat is without a doubt the star of the show here, to me it almost feels totally unique. If I had to describe it, I would say it’s a perfect merge between Sekiro, God of War, and Nioh. It take my favorite aspects of all of them. (Parrying with guard button, beta/burst skill enemy interruptions, a way more badass mikiri counter, a shield stagger system that allows you to combo the enemy damn near endlessly) I could go on forever, I love the burst perfect parry/dodge attack, I love the attack into parry cancel window that’s generous. The burst/ beta skills all look and feel badass, you can more or less hit someone with JUDGEMENT CUT and then turn into a baddie Sephiroth. The boss fights in this game are visual delights and so unbelievably badass to take on, especially one you get the parry down.
The cinematic quality is something I don’t see discussed a lot. It feels very “Sony” in this regard, with top of the line graphics that rival the very best. The train sequence screamed uncharted, the boss finishers scream god of war, hell those high speed grinding mini games reminded me of Jak 3. The mission you go on before the final level, was just a completely well realized setpiece, that took several hours long. All of this, and the soundtrack is somehow on par with, the very best soundtracks from even the likes of Square Enix.
I could go on and on, about how much attention to detail and variety when it comes to styling eve, the NPCs alongside notes left across the world that brings a sense of mystique and wonder. One thing I often read when reviewers played the game was, it was a fun mess. I disagree wholeheartedly. This is a very concise experience, with flawless performance and extreme attention to detail. I could nitpick the story but, honestly I enjoyed it enough because it has kept me interested.
After work today, I’m going to finish the game. Currently enamored with what I’ve experienced. Thank you to the Team at Shift Up! You guys blew it out of the park & I’ll be supporting everything you do from here on out!!! Please guys BUY THIS GAME!

For context, I've been watching a lot of Star Wars What ifs recently. Things like "What if Order 66 failed?" Things like that. I decided to do my own fan fiction, but with Hatchetfield. This is all just for fun, and isn't canon. Hope you all enjoy.
Paul walks out to meet Emma. Emma is overjoyed to see him alive. As they embrace, Paul starts to sing. As it turns out, Paul didn’t stop the hive, he had been infected. Paul and the members of the hive sing Inevitable. Emma tries to flee but is unsuccessful. When the song ends, Emma screams for help as they drag her away. The hive throws Emma to the ground in the hallway of the hospital. The infected Bill, Ted, Nora, and Mr. Davidson hold her limbs down. Paul stands over Emma, smiling at her, eyes completely blue. He asks Emma why she isn’t happy. He’s happy. Emma yells at him, “You’re not Paul. You’re a fucking alien. You killed Paul. I don’t love you.” She is trying to stall, by herself more time so that anyone might be able to save her. Paul tries to make Emma calm down, but Emma resists. Eventually, the hive realizes what Emma is doing, and Paul proclaims “I am done monologuing.”
BANG! BANG! Two gunshots sound. Emma and the hive look up in shock to see infected Hidgens slowly fall to the ground, two bullet holes in his chest. Colonel Schaffer has a pistol in her hand at the end of the hall. She is joined by two people. One is a young boy in a green Clivesdale Chemists jacket, a shotgun in his hands. The other is a woman in a denim jacket and jeans, holding a revolver. The three open fire on the hive. Paul takes the brunt of the gunfire, his body knocked off its feet in a barrage of bullets. Bill, Ted, Mr. Davidson, and Nora release Emma as they get shot. The nurse dodges the first shots and tries to bite Emma’s leg. She’s shot in the head. Schaffer calls out “You alright, Kelly?” “I’m fine,” said Emma. The boy and woman come over to Emma. The woman is cautious, but the boy looks into Emma’s eyes and nods. “She’s not infected.” They help her to her feet. “General MacNamera has been flying infected citizens from Hatchetfield over to Clivesdale via helicopter,” said Schaffer. “We’re assuming the hive is trying to lower the bridge between us and them. We have to stop it.”
All around Clivesdale, the citizens are trying to get to safety or fight the hive. Bill’s ex runs out of her house, shutting the door on an infected, only to find herself cornered by more infected outside. A helicopter lands in a lot behind a Burger King. A man runs out to intercept it. He fires a handgun at the chopper, killing the pilot on the first shot. He then takes down the members of the hive on board. A girl in the high school is pinned by an infected P.E.I.P. agent. Another girl and boy come and kill the agent, but the girl is already dead. They shoot her head and lock her in a closet.
Back at the hospital, Emma and the others are making their way to the lobby. The boy introduces himself as Mitch, a senior at Clivesdale High. The woman's name is Skarloey. She reveals that she drives the ambulance, but was off for the day. Emma reveals her real name and that she’s the only survivor from Hatchetfield. Schaffer tells them to shut up. In the lobby is General MacNamera and four P.E.I.P. agents, looking for anyone. Mitch asks Emma, “Do you know how to shoot?” Emma hesitates, “Sure?” Mitch takes a handgun from his jacket and hands it to her. They wait a moment. “Now,” said Schaffer. The four of them pop out and open fire on the infected. MacNamera goes down instantly. The other agents aren’t able to react fast enough. Only one manages to fire off one shot before dying. The four of them run out of the lobby and into Skarloey’s car. “We got to get to the bridge,” said Schaffer. “We cannot let them lower it.”
Five helicopters carrying more members of the hive fly overhead. Citizens look up to see the arrival of more infected. BOOM! One of the choppers is blown out of the air. The remnants of P.E.I.P., along with other military reinforcements, were able to set up some artillery to take the choppers out. Another helicopter is blown up. Across the town, the few infected that made it across are falling. Because the hive has gotten more violent, they don’t resort to luring people in that much. Also, Hatchetfield knows little about the town, other than that they hate it. The citizens of Clivesdale fight back, managing to kill every member of the hive that flew in. Emma notices the explosions in the air as they drive. “Looks like you got some help.” Schaffer chuckles, “Those of us that are left were able to set up a solid defense. They reacted quickly.” They watch as the last few helicopters are blown up. “Let’s hope they did the same with the bridge.”
Sadly, they didn’t. The few soldiers at the bridge got there too late, and all of them were caught off guard. The citizens were able to show up and kill the hive members there, but the bridge had already begun to lower. Schaffer, Emma, Mitch, and Skarloey pull up in the car not far from the bridge, ready to help defend. An agent runs over, “We can’t stop it, Colonel. They sabotaged the controls. That bridge is coming down.” Schaffer sighs, “Alright, we’ll just have to kill them all.” Mitch grabs a rifle from a fallen soldier and tosses the shotgun to Skarloey. Emma turns around to see several citizens arriving to help defend. They have guns, bats, knives, and even grenades. She’s almost shocked.
CRASH! The bridge has finally lowered. The crowd goes quiet, waiting to see anything. On the other side of the bridge, there is a faint chanting. It grows louder and louder. The infected have begun to cross the bridge. As they get closer, people begin to hear what they are singing. “Fuck you, Clivesdale!” The townsfolk are confused. Mitch raises an eyebrow, “What the?” “The hatred runs deep,” says Emma. “Don’t ask.” They are getting closer. Some of them are starting to move faster. There are far too many for all of them to deal with. They would be overwhelmed. But they know that they have no choice, if they want to survive, they have to hold them back.
Emma takes a deep breath, “I am not going to die here. Not in Clivesdale.” She raises her gun into the air and yells, “FUCK YOU, HATCHETFIELD.” The crowd yells and charges down the street, towards the bridge. The infected are moving faster now, sensing what is coming. They sing in unison, about taking over, how unstoppable they are, and that they’ll “fucking kick their asses.” Mitch, Skarloey, Schaffer, and many of the people reach the edge of the bridge. They aim and begin to fire. The infected at the front start to drop like flies. As more people arrive, the faster the infected fall. But, there are still too many to hold off. Grenades are thrown and some infected are blown up. Mitch reloads his rifle and continues to fire. The infected keep advancing. They’ve gotten too close now. They will overpower them soon. The crowd starts to back up. They start running out of ammo. The infected are almost at the edge of the bridge.
WOOSH! Two jet planes fly overhead. They pass over the bridge and the town of Hatchetfield. The people and the hive turn and watch as the bombs drop on the Starlight Theatre. BOOM! The massive explosion goes from orange and black to blue. The essence of the meteorite and the blue shit has been destroyed. The crowd watches in awe. The explosion starts to rise, the sky seemingly pulling the blue shit away from the earth. Emma notices a blue light coming out of the faces of the hive. Almost as if the blue is fading from them. The blue light is sucked into the sky and is gone.
The crowd stands there, stunned. At the same time, several of the citizens of Hatchetfield fall to the ground. Some lie dead, others struggle for breath. Those still standing look around in shock, wondering how they got there. Emma notices one of the few people standing at the front. It’s a woman in a nurse's outfit, with long, red hair. She turns to the crowd and drops with her hands over her. “Please,” cried Becky Barnes. “Don’t shoot me!” The crowd is uncertain, but Mitch notices her sclera (white of the eye) is white, not blue. “She’s not infected anymore,” he said. But even Mitch was uncertain. Then, they noticed a corpse at the front. Their blood was previously blue but had now turned red. The infection was gone.
P.E.I.P., the medical personnel in Clivesdale, and any Hatchetfield citizen that had recovered worked to set up sites to nurse the citizens back to health. There are stretchers, beds, and cots everywhere. The agents and medics are doing whatever they can to try to save the citizens. Emma walks with Mitch and Skarloey. “I can’t believe this.” Skarloey turns to her, “Tell me about it.” Emma pauses, “No, not about the hive, about you all.” Mitch and Skarloey stare at her. “We hated you guys,” Emma explained. “We did not like you. I never really knew why. Now I’m here, that hatred makes no fucking sense.” Mitch and Skarloey stare and then laugh. “We almost died, people are still dying now, and you decide that you want to tell us the Hatchetfield hates Clivesdale?” Emma shrugs. “Guess so, don’t have much else to do.”
Then, she notices someone. On a stretcher not far from her is a man with dirty blonde hair, a beard, and a red and black flannel. “Tom!” Tom Houston turns away from Becky Barnes to see Emma. She runs over to him. “Hey, Emma,” said Tom. “Good to see you.” He grunts as he tries to sit up. Becky puts a hand on his shoulder. “I’m alright, Beck. What happened, Emma?” “You became a musical alien,” said Emma. Tom’s winces, “So I’ve been told.” Emma tries to distract. “Is Tim ok?” As if on cue, Tom’s son walks up to Emma and grabs her leg. She turns and smiles at him, hugging the boy. Tim then goes over and hugs his dad. “I’m so glad you’re alive, Dad.” Tom pats his son on the back, “Me too, bud. Me too.” He looks up at Emma. She smiles and embraces both of them. Becky Barnes smiles at them. “I’ll leave you three for now.”
The next few days were interesting. Zoey Chambers, who somehow managed to survive the helicopter crash, was able to recover early. Emma revealed to her that their boss, Zoey’s boyfriend, and his wife were dead. Tom and Tim recovered early. After a day or two, Tom and Becky decided to get back together. Tim liked Becky and was happy to have her there. After finding Tom, Ethan Green and Hannah Foster learned that Lex Foster died during the charge. This seemed to be too much for Ethan, as while he seemed to recover early on, he wasn’t able to keep it together and died a few days later. Hannah had to confide in Webby to keep her spirit up. Tom and Becky, feeling awful for Hannah, Ethan, and Lex, decide to take care of Hannah. Tim welcomed the idea of having an older sister. Alice Woodward woke up asking where her father was. Emma told her what Paul had said, that Alice killed Bill herself. She then mentioned that Bill was present at the hospital, where he was gunned down. Alice had already found out that her mother had been infected and killed, while Deb died of gunfire. She was overcome with grief and spent the rest of her time looking for anyone she knew. Miss Holloway recovered right away, and with her help, she was able to nurse many people back to health, including Duke. The two spent most of their time together. Mark and Karen Chasity found that their daughter, Grace, had failed to recover. Mayor Solomon Lauter woke up with an injured leg. The body of his daughter, Steph, was never found. Melissa was one of the last people to recover. She became heartbroken when she found out that Paul was dead. The agents had to make sure she wouldn’t harm herself.
During those few days. Emma was spending her time with Tom. One day, she mentioned the plot of land in Colorado that had been granted to her by P.E.I.P. She told Tom that she wanted to start a pot farm, but now wanted to focus on getting everyone on track. She asked Tom if they would come with her to Colorado, to start over. He agrees with her, although still sketched out by the idea of a pot farm. Emma promises him that she is done with weed, for now. Emma Perkins, Tom Houston, Tim Houston, Becky Barnes, and Hannah Foster move to Colorado. Emma, with assistance from P.E.I.P., manages to let her leg heal and get back on her feet. She decides to go back to school to pursue a different career. Becky remains in the medical industry and Tom gets back into teaching. Tim and Hannah grow super close, with Webby at their side. As they get older, Hannah starts to distance herself from Webby, but Tim manages to convince her to not let Webby go. Emma graduates from college and gets a job working at a bank. Tom and Becky get married around the time Emma graduates. Hannah is in her sophomore year of high school while Tim entered the 7th grade. The five of them are sad for what they lost back in Hatchetfield, but at least they didn’t end up dying there nor in Clivesdale. At least for now, they are safe and happy.

I've been a game show junkie for many many years now. Love the classics, and appreciate they're trying to bring some of them back.
Complaints:
1) Most of the new shows overexplain every. single. thing. Explain the rules once at the beginning and stop treating the audience like we're complete morons and constantly need to be reminds "what happens if"...
2) Card Sharks with Joel McHale. One of my favorites from the past, but my goodness, this was absolutely unwatchable.
3) Password - Love the game, who doesn't? But I hate that they have to jump up and run around and hug each other every time they get an answer right. They act like their team just won the Super Bowl or something, when in reality, they got someone to say the word "cactus". Compare this to some of the older episodes with people like Carol Burnett or Betty White.
4) Supermarket Sweep - Classic was awesome, even if nothing but VERY predictable. I mean the script didn't change at all from show to show, just the contestants and the products. Even when Johnny introduced the 3 teams, he'd have a little laugh for the second team, but neither of the others. He did this the entire season. Anyway, the new one, I liked that they added extra bonus possibilities in the end game. But the host was awful and just crushed my dreams of enjoying this show for at least a few years. It's not about you Leslie, it's about the "regular" people.
5) The Wall - Great concept for a game show, but all the drama has got to go. It's awful.
6) Catch 21 - Loved Alfonso as Carlton, but not here. The bonus round is horribly difficult and the audience being forced to chant what cards are good is unbearable.
Positives:
1) To Tell the Truth with Anthony Anderson. Love this show, very entertaining. This one is really close to the original as far as making it about the contestants and not the celebs trying to be overly funny. IMO this is one of the best reboot of a game show over the last 20 years.
2) Weakest Link - Jane is funny and keeps it flowing. Great follow-up for our beloved Anne Robinson.
3) The Floor - Liked this one because it was a season long "trivia" show. Was nice because it was something other than loads of trivia questions, just had to name what was in the pictures. Like that it wasn't a quick and dirty half hour in-and-out show. And Chris Traeger was "literally" in this show!
Suggestions:
1) Wheel of Fortune - Have the champion return to play again until they lose. They're missing out on a possible "Ken Jennings" moment.
2) Bring back Classic Concentration. Do it right, but that was a fun one for the TV watchers to play along.

Complaints:
1) Most of the new shows overexplain every. single. thing. Explain the rules once at the beginning and stop treating the audience like we're complete morons and constantly need to be reminds "what happens if"...
2) Card Sharks with Joel McHale. One of my favorites from the past, but my goodness, this was absolutely unwatchable.
3) Password - Love the game, who doesn't? But I hate that they have to jump up and run around and hug each other every time they get an answer right. They act like their team just won the Super Bowl or something, when in reality, they got someone to say the word "cactus". Compare this to some of the older episodes with people like Carol Burnett or Betty White.
4) Supermarket Sweep - Classic was awesome, even if nothing but VERY predictable. I mean the script didn't change at all from show to show, just the contestants and the products. Even when Johnny introduced the 3 teams, he'd have a little laugh for the second team, but neither of the others. He did this the entire season. Anyway, the new one, I liked that they added extra bonus possibilities in the end game. But the host was awful and just crushed my dreams of enjoying this show for at least a few years. It's not about you Leslie, it's about the "regular" people.
5) The Wall - Great concept for a game show, but all the drama has got to go. It's awful.
6) Catch 21 - Loved Alfonso as Carlton, but not here. The bonus round is horribly difficult and the audience being forced to chant what cards are good is unbearable.
Positives:
1) To Tell the Truth with Anthony Anderson. Love this show, very entertaining. This one is really close to the original as far as making it about the contestants and not the celebs trying to be overly funny. IMO this is one of the best reboot of a game show over the last 20 years.
2) Weakest Link - Jane is funny and keeps it flowing. Great follow-up for our beloved Anne Robinson.
3) The Floor - Liked this one because it was a season long "trivia" show. Was nice because it was something other than loads of trivia questions, just had to name what was in the pictures. Like that it wasn't a quick and dirty half hour in-and-out show. And Chris Traeger was "literally" in this show!
Suggestions:
1) Wheel of Fortune - Have the champion return to play again until they lose. They're missing out on a possible "Ken Jennings" moment.
2) Bring back Classic Concentration. Do it right, but that was a fun one for the TV watchers to play along.

 | Oh boy! Time for Lucky's yap session for the April Monthly Finals! This was a pretty wacky weekend as we saw the return of the NAVINATION, the longest and probably most stressful EMEA Monthly Final we'll see all year, a team defending their title, and some... stuff happening in NA as well. No more yapping from me (in this segment at least). Let's get right to the results of the April Monthly Finals Recap! submitted by Lucky_6464 to BrawlStarsEsports [link] [comments] Thumbnail Asia PacificAsia Pacific April Monthly Finals ResultsNever Back Down VS. Coco Loco: I'm kinda surprised this wasn't shown on the main stream because this was a really fun back and forth battle. Those that didn't catch it over on the B Stream (shoutout to Sunny & wigglyspoo btw), Everything was looking pretty close and we even got some solid Buzz Hypercharge plays from Shu in the second set which was a highlight for me. Unfortunately, all that effort would lead to NBD dropping the final 2 sets and be eliminated by another pretty solid Coco team. Team S1 VS. Crazy Raccoon: Give me one second while I go find my pretend shocked face. Crazy Raccoon makes quick work of TS1 by getting the clean 3-0 sweep and easily advanced to the Semis without really breaking a sweat. Deep down I wanted this match to end with at least TS1 winning a set, but we all knew Raccoon was the better team here. Revenant Esports VS. Angelic: Angelic may have had a ping advantage against Revenant, but I think Revenant quickly found a way to easily defeat Angelic. Just don't let Kanga on the Mortis and you'll be fine. Kanga did bring out the Mortis on Safe Zone of all maps, but it didn't work in their favor unfortunately. Mortis would be banned in the next two sets and Angelic just couldn't do anything to respond back as Revenant gets their revenge and advances. NAVI VS. 3R Gaming: So Sakura (formerly known as I see) wanted to get his revenge on a NAVI squad that was expected to go deep this month and ultimately he and 3RG just couldn't get anything going against them. Not even subbing in and out players worked for them. Maybe next time he'll get his revenge, but today is not his or 3RG's day. Coco Loco VS. Crazy Raccoon: Coco may have went Loco in the previous match, but all that energy was not shown in the following match as Raccoon once again manages to claim another team with a nice 3-0 sweep. Not a clean sweep as they dropped a game in the first set, but now is their time to do what SK did last month and get that perfect 9-0 run and claim another Monthly Final crown. Revenant Esports VS. NAVI: This was expected to be a pretty close matchup, but no shot were Revenant getting past NAVI with the ping advantage they had as they ended up moving to Hong Kong (where the servers are located for APAC) right before the event started. There were some moments where Revenant could've came back Crazy Raccoon VS. NAVI: Things were looking good for Crazy Raccoon as they managed to dominate the first two sets and were looking to pull off the perfect 9-0 run, but things were slowly falling apart for them after that. After failing to clutch up in the 3rd set, the 4th set on Rustic Arcade was a neck and neck battle in the first two games before the lag finally hit Raccoon in the final game to force a Set 5. Not even Tensai on the Max could save Raccoon as NAVI would manage to pull off the reverse sweep and claim their first Monthly Final crown of the year. Unfortunate for Raccoon, but at least this match was very fun to watch. Asia Pacific Leaderboards Asia Pacific Winners - NAVI: Moving to Hong Kong was the right call for them as they not only managed to win the Monthly Finals, but they are now back in the race and currently sit in 4th place on the leaderboards. If they can keep this up, there is a good chance they could qualify directly to Worlds. The roster change has worked so far and I hope it continues going well for them moving forward. Let's just hope this season wasn't a fluke or anything. Asia Pacific Losers - Crazy Raccoon's WIFI: Not exactly brutal or anything as they still sit comfortably in first place, but the lag that they had to deal with in that Grand Finals match against NAVI was really unfortunate. They likely win this Monthly Final if that doesn't happen, but eh it happens. They're still a good team and should still be the favorite to place 1st in APAC, but this did prevent the repeat from happening which would've been cool. NOTE: Team S1 disbanded on April 29th, 2024. They will not be included in my next Power Rankings. EMEAEMEA April Monthly Finals ResultsSK Gaming VS. Reply Totem: I was expecting this match to at least be a bit more competitive than last time, but I expected SK to still come out on top. Totem improved their game, but they just didn't look good enough to beat SK. Especially after letting in an easy goal in the second set to help SK go up 2-0. Totem did manage to prevent a sweep from happening so at least they made some progress, but they definitely need to Eat, Sleep, Brawl and Repeat if they want a chance at claiming at least an LCQ spot this year. HMBLE VS. F/A Kebap: Kebap nation is in shambles as they were unable to claim a single game against an elite HMBLE team. Being for real now, I'm not really surprised of this outcome. Happy Kebap made it here, but no matter who they faced I felt like they were not gonna do much this final. Free points for HMBLE. ZETA DIVISION VS. BC* Gaming: Just sheer utter dominance from ZETA overall in this match as they finally looked like their former self in this match. Straight up dominating the first two sets before struggling a bit on Ring of Fire, but ZETA came out on top in a close battle and pulled off the 3-0 sweep. A good start to the day for ZETA. Oceanus Gaming VS. Eclipsar Esport: I will give Eclipsar credit, they did make this into a competitive match. I had a feeling this would somehow be a bit closer than some might've thought, and I was honestly thought there would be a chance that Eclipsar would go up 2-1 after winning the first game of set 3. However a blunder in the final game (after dropping Game 2) would prevent that from happening and failing to take down Cube in the final game of Set 4 as he claimed the final ticks of percentage of the zone would end Eclipsar's run. A good effort from the Frenchmen (and Mebius) and despite the loss, I think they'll be back and one day get that Monthly Finals Match win. Lucky's Yap Session (Warning: Lots of words & yapping)Ok wow I'm looking at the VOD and we are only an hour and 40 minutes in a 5 hour and 25 minute VOD. These next three matches were super long and super intense to watch that I have no choice but to yap about them. If you hate reading, feel free to skip this part because I'm about to go pretty in depth with them.SK Gaming VS. HMBLE: This Grand Finals rematch did not disappoint as the two current best teams in EMEA gave us a match we will definitely remember well for the rest of the year. The first set was pretty close and it looked like HMBLE were gonna run away in the final game, but a clutch last second kill on Lukii from Joker gave the first set win to SK. The second set also had a pretty close as it came down to another close game 3 battle, but HMBLE were able to clutch up and defend their safe and even it out. Set 3 had the first two games be close and split between the two (with even HMBLE getting all 29 gems in Game 2), but SK played a bit better overall in Game 3 and went up 2-1. Set 4 was close in every game with a nice comeback happening from HMBLE in Game 1, a close victory in Game 2 for SK, and HMBLE held on to the zone with barely any health left from everyone and forced a Set 5 in this thriller of a match. Game 1 of the final set saw SK get in the match point scenario despite the early goal from HMBLE and it looked like they were gonna seal Game 2 away as well. However a nice stop from HMBLE prevented the game winning goal from happening and HMBLE took us to a double match point with a goal in OT. After that SK looked like they ran out of steam as 2 quick goals from HMBLE in the final game sealed it for the Italian org and they ended up qualifying for their second straight Grand Finals appearance. ZETA DIVISION VS. Oceanus Gaming: Another close battle between two solid teams in EMEA. We start off this match with a couple of close games in the first set on Rustic Arcade with ZETA and Oceanus splitting 1 game each, but Oceanus ran away with the gems in the final game to claim the first set. The second set was pretty easy for ZETA as them having Colette in their comp on Safe Zone pretty much sealed an easy win for them. New Horizons was looking pretty good for ZETA after a Game 1 win, but Game 2 was a nail biter that ended in Oceanus' favor and Game 3 was just pure dominance from Oceanus. Could they take down the former champs and secure a Grand Finals spot? Well let's find out in our 4th Set... which ended in a 1-1 tie which means they will have to replay it. I don't get this rule why is this still a thing? Can we make it so if a team wins two games they win the set? I miss that rule. Anyways, take two of the 4th set was a bit close as well and it looked like there was a chance Oceanus were gonna seal it, but a late stop in the final game prevented that and ZETA responded with the set clinching goal and force a 5th set, where ZETA would barely survive in Game 1 and secure a Game 2 deathless victory to advance to the Grand Finals. Another close one, but in the end ZETA came out on top and Oceanus will have to accept another Top 4 finish. HMBLE VS. ZETA DIVISION: With both teams playing in separate rooms in the same building, it all comes down to this. The first set would see an almost comeback moment from ZETA in the first game, but it was not enough to take down the safe on Safe Zone. Game 2 didn't go well for them either as HMBLE just obliterated the safe with time to spare and secured the first set. Game 1 of Set 2 was a nail biter where we saw a comeback from ZETA and they won by 1% on Dueling Beetles in Hot Zone, but HMBLE would respond back with a nice 70%+ comeback of their own in the following game. Sucks Game 3 wasn't as intense, but hey ZETA won in the end so that means we got a tied ballgame. Set 3 on Belle's Rock was looking good for ZETA... for the first round. After that it just all fell apart for them as the next four rounds were claimed by HMBLE and the set was theirs (why was Nowy just standing in that corner for pretty much the whole game in Game 2?). Symantec's desk was shaking as another set win for HMBLE would mean it would get easily get karate chopped in half. Luckily for the table, HMBLE fell apart in the next two games on Rustic Arcade as they just couldn't find a way to hold off ZETA in gem count meaning the table survives... for now. Actually wait never mind the final set was quickly over as two pretty convincing wins from ZETA meant that they were back and they have claimed a Monthly Finals crown as well as getting back in the race for a Worlds spot. Symantec's desk sighs in relief as it will live another day. I do not apologize for that yap session you just read, but I highly recommend you watch the VOD for these three matches if you haven't yet. End of Yap SessionEMEA LeaderboardsEMEA Winners - ZETA DIVISION: See? I told y'all ZETA weren't washed. After a disappointing start to the season when they lost to HMBLE in the Quarterfinals, ZETA were able to step it up this month and managed to sweep BC*, barely beat Oceanus in a nail biter, and get revenge on HMBLE in the Grand Finals to claim their first Monthly Final Championship of the year. We also learned in the interview with GeRo that inso wasn't the one behind the drafts and to me that's pretty terrifying to know. ZETA should be a legit contender to win it all for a fourth straight year, but we'll see how they do the rest of the regular season. EMEA Losers - FUT Esports: There wasn't really a clear cut loser that competed this month so I picked the best team that failed to qualify instead. This did hurt them quite a bit heading into the final 3 months as every match, set and game matters. This disappointing season resulted in Filippo leaving the team, but I would like to see how they will play with Rama now. It's gonna be interesting, but will they be able to qualify with this trio of Drage, OG and Rama? NOTES: BC* Gaming parted ways with Mewtu on April 29th, 2024. BC* Gaming will not be included in the next BrawlCap Power Rankings if they don't find and announce their new third player by Saturday. South AmericaSouth America April Monthly Finals ResultsCalabresos F/A VS. Marruecos: The rematch went as well as you probably were expecting for Marruercos which is not very well, but it is an improvement from last time. At least they were able to take a set off of them, but Calabresos were just too good for them to handle. The quest to repeat as champions lives on. Team Queso VS. Level Esports: Man was this a good match that was unfortunately casted in the B Stream, but hey we still got a fun match that ended in 15 games again. I won't yap about this one that much, but all I will say is that I did not expect this Level team to be this good and I think the other teams from the West should watch out for them moving forward. Meanwhile Queso were able to secure a double match point win and make another Top 4 appearance. Hope this isn't the last time we see Level play this good. SKCalalas VS. F/A MiniPekkas: This was supposed to be the quarterfinals match to watch from this region. What the hell happened with SKC? Nothing was working for them at all the entire match. MiniPekkas dominated pretty much everywhere and this was just not a close match at the slightest. I had a feeling the MiniPekkas were gonna beat them here, but man did I not expect it to end with SKC not winning a game. Reis Do PL VS. Olimpo Squad: A little surprise that I wasn't expecting here, but RDP played really well in their first Monthly Final together. This is definitely an underrated team and the newest addition in IceCrow has definitely made this team a bit better overall from what I've seen. Olimpo played alright and did manage to eek out a set win against them, but RDP was the better team overall in this match. Well played from RDP (but curse you for ruining my perfect SA bracket). Calabresos F/A VS. Team Queso: Another team Calabresos had defeated in the previous Monthly Final... and it resulted in a sweep this time in favor of Calabresos. They were just simply the better team overall and I didn't feel like Queso were really gonna play that well against them. They managed to win a game at least, but now they are barely outside of an LCQ spot with the loss. Calabresos meanwhile are just one win away from claiming another Monthly Final crown. F/A MiniPekkas VS. Reis Do PL: Ok not gonna lie, I did not expect this to be close at all with how much better I felt MiniPekkas were over RDP at the time, but this somehow managed to come down to the wire. Even though MiniPekkas did get the win in the end, I will give credit to RDP for giving it their all in this match by taking 2 sets off of some of the best players in the region. This is a team I wouldn't sleep on moving forward, but for now let's see how well the MiniPekkas will do in Grands. Calabresos F/A VS. F/A MiniPekkas: Man the MiniPeakkas fought hard here, but they just didn't have enough juice left in them to take down Calabresos despite taking them to a fifth and final set. This win for Calabresos keeps their undefeated season alive and gives them a bigger lead for that only Worlds spot. The MiniPekkas may have lost here, but they at least managed to get back in the race and gain a pretty decent lead ahead of the team they just beat. This was a good month for both teams in the end so I'd say it's a win-win. South America Leaderboards South America Winners: Calabresos F/A (again) - Winning back to back Monthly Finals is never an easy task to pull off, but not when you are Calabresos apparently. The only match they did end up struggling with was in the MiniPekkas match, but other than that this Brazilian group managed to be the only team out of the four main regions to win their second straight Monthly Final. The best part is that they have a pretty sizable lead ahead of the rest of the competition and are in a good spot to claim that only Worlds spot. Can they keep this streak up, or will someone catch up to them? South America Losers: SKCalalas - That quarterfinal loss hurts them a bit as a win against the MiniPekkas would've put them in a comfortable 2nd and they would've contended with Calabresos for that #1 spot in South America possibly. Now they have to fight for 2 LCQ spots with Queso and the MiniPekkas. They are in third and I could see Queso as the most likely outlier, but anything can happen in the next three Monthly Finals. They also gotta go back to the drawing board because whatever they planned for this month did not work at all. NOTE: IceCrow barely turned 16 just in time for the Monthly Qualifiers to begin. He looked pretty good in his first Monthly Final overall. Do you think he could be a possible Rookie of the Year candidate by seasons end? North AmericaNorth America April Monthly Finals ResultsTribe Gaming VS. Juan Carlos Team: What a shocker as the team that ended up winning this match was... Juan Carlos Team!? Huh? Am I reading that right? Did Juan Carlos Team really just not only beat one of the best teams in NA, but straight up owned them? Well I'll be I was not expecting that at all. JCT even looked like the better team in this match overall so I'd say a well deserved win for them. Guess Tribe isn't guaranteed a Worlds spot anymore after this month anymore, but hey that just means more chaos. Real Ones VS. 512: The Real Ones were able to participate in this event and they managed to get an early lead against the team with only numbers as their name. Things were looking good for them until the next two sets where things started to go a bit downhill for them. The final set was a close call, but in the end 512 managed to come out on top and pulled off the reverse sweep. Never stop til you hear that bell ring folks because you never know when you'll start making a comeback. Remaining 7 Esports VS. West Coast FA: Ok R7 came to play in this game as they not only managed to sweep West Coast, but they purely dominated them. West Coast couldn't even get a game off of them and only one of the games was actually pretty close with that game being Game 2 of the first set. Every other game was just, dominance from R7. I had a feeling they would win, but I did not expect this from them. We'll see if they can replicate that in the Semifinals now. STMN VS. DC TEAM: Can someone tell me why this match was in A Stream and not the other match? I don't care both matches ended in 6-0 sweeps in the end the other match was likely going to be more interesting to watch. Anyways, yeah unsurprisingly STMN managed to get the clean 3-0 sweep against DC without breaking much of a sweat. This was just a warmup for them. Juan Carlos Team VS. 512: 512 did put up a decent fight in the end, but it was not enough for them to secure a single set against Juan Carlos Team. They did manage to make a couple of the sets close at least, but JCT clearly showed us they were the better team. Als I just want to say the secondbest is underrated and I'm shocked he didn't get MVP in any of the matches they played this month. Remaining 7 Esports VS. STMN: R7 did manage to show up for this match and it they did take the first set of the match against STMN. A dominant STMN win in Set 2 evened things out, but it looked like after taking Game 1 R7 could have a shot at upsetting them. STMN would wake up in the next two sets and claim another set before ultimately sealing the win in Set 4 when bobby sent his team to the Grand Finals with the game winning goal in OT (and as Bea who is my favorite Brawler :D). Juan Carlos Team VS. STMN: This was an interesting David VS. Goliath match (in my opinion at least) and things immediately started off with a banger on Safe Zone as a every game ended pretty close overall, but a solid push from JCT near the end would seal the first set in their favor. The second set went towards STMN's favor despite a huge 100-1% win from JCT on Game 2 of Dueling Beetles. Then we saw some magic happen from JCT as a solid combo of Mico, Byron and Kit on Belle's Rock would easily help them claim the third set. The 4th set was looking good for STMN as they took the first set and were looking to force a Set 5, but JCT weren't gonna go down without a fight and managed to barely hold on to claim the 2nd game. A nail biting third game would ultimately end in JCT's favor as one last protesto and ZETA spray from secondbest comes out and JCT against all odds, win the Monthly Finals. A shocking end that would add more chaos to an already pretty chaotic region. North America Leaderboards North America Winners: Real Ones - They are simply in this spot just because they were able to play in the event at all. While it did unfortunately result in them getting reverse swept by 512 as well as lose a bit of prize money in the process, at least we can say that they were able to play in the event and get some cash out of it (even if they did get a prize money deduction). North America Losers: Tribe Gaming - This was supposed to be another month where they would dominate up until the Grand Finals and have that classic rivalry match against STMN, but nope. They just had to not show up in the Quarterfinals and lose in 4 sets. With this lost, they are now just barely in first and only ahead of the team that beat them by two points. Now it's anyones game to claim that top spot instead of it being all but guaranteed to be Tribe's. NOTE: Remaining 7 Esports released coach Peter Jeck and analyst lukluk23 on May 1st, 2024. Biggest Winner & LoserBIGGEST WINNER: Juan Carlos Team - The team with the best Free Agent logo in the scene managed to somehow not only beat Tribe, but they also managed to beat STMN as well and secured their first Monthly Final win of the year. A huge upset from them and causing a lot more chaos in North America than before. They are now in 2nd place in the North America Leaderboards and look poised to be a legit contender this year. I'm not sure how long this magic will last, but their performance has definitely intrigued me to put them in contender status. Watch out for this group in the next three or so months!BIGGEST LOSER: tostadas - Yeah... I think we all know why. That was just, very unprofessional from him. I won't go into super detail about this situation because we all pretty much know about it and I would not like to bring it up, but I'm just super disappointed in him that he would even think of doing such a thing. Even if that tiebreaker did happen, there is a good chance they don't beat Luminosity and fail to qualify anyways. He has since deleted his socials and if I had to guess, he is likely going to quit competitive Brawl as a whole. So sorry for the victims that went through this situation, but I'm glad you guys were able to compete this month. Did Lucky Cook This Month?I actually somehow cooked this month! Everything was going well up until North America. Juan Carlos Team ruined what was supposed to be an amazing weekend for me in predictions, but in the end I got the same score as last month. My goal was to hit 100 correct predictions total throughout the 5 seasons and so far I'm at a pretty good pace. Hopefully I'm able to keep this up the rest of the regular season or else there is a chance I might have to oil up in the Fall. Not only would that be torture for me, but also for you guys... let's hope that doesn't happen though. If I win the challenge I might do some sort of giveaway to celebrate. Now you want me to win it huh? Well we still got 3 more months so we'll see what happens. Will Lucky win the Challenge or will he have to oil up?

2024.05.02 16:42 Viviplex USA Spring 2024 info on all the name brand / online brand $500 - $800 older kids, tweens non-mtb bikes.
My 4'9 8 year old daughter grew like a bean pole over winter and has drastically outgrown her Cannondale Quick 24. I have been buying bikes off FB marketplace since she was a wee one, but I have not spotted anything popping up in our area (USA).
So I have begun the search for a new bike and am finding this to be a tough buy. It seems most easily obtainable bikes are MTBs. I'm a long-distance rider and bikepacker, and had her easily riding 10+ miles on local paved and gravel trails on the Cannondale Quick. It's a great bike. I don't want a 30lb hardtail. Plus she has no desire to hit the mtb trails. Not as concerned about disc breaks.
I hesitate to buy a XS adult bike (though I have added a few). I'm finding them to be heavy and limit the # of years she will be able to ride them. It's also harder to find a 1x. Reading about Kid bike geometry has me convinced I need to stick with them (though I am no expert)
Luckily, I have not yet spent a dime on a bike for her. I buy name brand used bikes and have always sold them for as much as I paid. I am not worried about a higher budget as I'm hoping this bike will last at least a few years and I can most likely sell it for at least half the purchase price.
Below is a list of options I've outlined during my research. I would be happy to hear any ideas/options/issues with these bikes or others I have missed. Thanks!

So I have begun the search for a new bike and am finding this to be a tough buy. It seems most easily obtainable bikes are MTBs. I'm a long-distance rider and bikepacker, and had her easily riding 10+ miles on local paved and gravel trails on the Cannondale Quick. It's a great bike. I don't want a 30lb hardtail. Plus she has no desire to hit the mtb trails. Not as concerned about disc breaks.
I hesitate to buy a XS adult bike (though I have added a few). I'm finding them to be heavy and limit the # of years she will be able to ride them. It's also harder to find a 1x. Reading about Kid bike geometry has me convinced I need to stick with them (though I am no expert)
Luckily, I have not yet spent a dime on a bike for her. I buy name brand used bikes and have always sold them for as much as I paid. I am not worried about a higher budget as I'm hoping this bike will last at least a few years and I can most likely sell it for at least half the purchase price.
Below is a list of options I've outlined during my research. I would be happy to hear any ideas/options/issues with these bikes or others I have missed. Thanks!

- TREK WAHOO 26: $550. Trek Kids Gravel/mtn bike. A lot like Woom and Guardian bikes. 22.5 lbs. 1x8. 2in tires. V Breaks. Fits Riders 57” – 63”. I've read multiple reviews that the sizing is not accurate and does not do well fitting taller riders.

Yup, sobrang stressed na ako sa work lately. May mga ka-team kasi akong sobrang pabigat na, even our TL ang bigat narin kasama. FYI, 'di BPO company pinapasukan ko, it's a private corporate company. And sa laki ng department namin, we have 9 teams.
'Yung team namin ang "frontliners" sa department since we're the ones who responds first and assists other departments sa concerns nila.

My SIL (24f) is very judgmental about my (33F) C-section last June. I had an urgent C-section because my blood pressure was climbing uncontrollably and was 190/130 so stroke territory even with medications. The decision was made after 2.5 days of trying to induce to move to the operating room and get baby out ASAP because things were becoming dangerous for both of us. I had wanted a natural birth but survival for both baby and I required an urgent C-section. The OB bumped other surgeries and procedures to do mine as soon as she could.
My SIL has been judgemental and made comments like “you didn’t give birth you just had surgery”, “you’re not a real mom because you didn’t give birth” , “you took the lazy way out and gave up”, and “you set baby up for failure by not giving birth properly”. I’ve been dealing with these comments for the last 10 months and it hurts.
SIL had her second baby a couple days ago and the first thing she said after texting us the name and baby details was that she “did it properly with no medication”. It was sent only to my husband and I so it feels targeted.
I don’t even know if I want to go meet and celebrate the baby if she’s going to keep being so narrow minded and putting down people who don’t do things her way. She even makes fun of her own sister for getting epidurals with all three of her kids.
My husband has asked her to stop but she just stopped doing it in front of him.
She’s not capable of seeing that her comments and actions affect others. She didn’t graduate high school and only has a grade 10 education despite many opportunities to get her grade 12. She’s socially inept and I believe she has a significant learning disability possibly an intellectual delay.
I don’t know how to cope with her judgment and comments anymore. I don’t want to go celebrate her baby when she has been putting me down for months. And ridiculing my premie for needed physiotherapy.
How do I go in there and act happy and supportive?

The central fantastical element differentiating my game world from the real world is that, in the NewEdo universe, belief can affect the fabric of reality. This gives rise to a wide range of fun lore and mechanics effects.
The game was designed to make characters (both playable and ones encountered in your stories) larger than life. PCs should be able to become Legends, named entities recognized in the city, feared or loved or anything in between. Obviously they'd have to be able to accomplish amazing things, but what gives them the power to do so? Magic exists (more on that later) but what about a swordsman who can block bullets with a blade, or an athlete who can run on water, or an orator who can entrance a mob of skeptics? I didn't want them to be secret magicians deriving their power from external sources.
So, stewing on the concepts of mythology and superstition, I settled on this idea that belief - the aggregate and heartfelt conviction of many - can change reality. People believe in monsters and magic, so they exist. And when you begin to become known for 'that thing you do', the crowd may start to believe in you too. And that belief empowers you.
Mechanically, this is codified with a statistic called your character's Legend. It represents how much faith the population has in your ability to do amazing things. Legend is a meta currency used to do awesome things, and that fuel tank is refilled by the act of doing them. This encourages players to take actions that are larger than life, because that's more likely to wow a crowd, growing your Legend. And yes, it means that using a power can result in refilling that power's currency (if you succeed). It's a way for systems to subtly encourage roleplaying, and it works.
In lore, this idea lets NPCs live hundreds of years, and creates political tension in a system where the ruling power(s) can shape reality by influencing what people believe in. Cults and churches become particularly dangerous, where even a small congregation with fanatical conviction can start to blur reality. Division 6 keeps a close eye on ascendant leaders attending to mold truth to their own vision of the world.
Anyway, that's a long winded way of saying we've got demon and fox playable characters, magic and technology that can work together, and a great political stage set for conflicts that don't all involve violence. This will be a long and complex story, but I will do my best. Somethings I will keep vague because this is a throwaway account.
I believe my parents are narcissists, or someone not very good at being there for their children. They had me (F, 30+) at a late age. They were well off. Both had well-paying jobs and everything looked fine. They however didn't save any money but spent it on looking wealthy (cars, etc.).
While my mother was infertile at first, they somehow managed to have me (F, 30+), my brother (M,20+), and my sister. She died by accident being 2 years old when I was in my early teens. I, my mother and brother were there, my father wasn't.
After that, everything went downhill. They went bankrupt, my mother became an alcoholic and my dad was always abroad at work, till I was 17 or so. At age 21 they lost their house (my family home), it was ceased and sold by the bank, and they did nothing. They just wallowed in self-pity. We needed money and although we live in a country that has very good benefits from the government, my father felt "too good for it" and wasn't willing to take jobs below his qualities. I was the one who managed to keep us off the streets and keep me and my disabled brother safe.
Me and my boyfriend at the time moved back in with my parents to save money for buying a house. Only to find that my parents asked about 375 euros each, just because we lived with them. In hindsight, this was because they were bankrupt. I worked like crazy during that time and gave all my money to my ex because he convinced me I couldn't handle money just like my parents. After our breakup, I learned he gambled all of it, made debt (15k in my name), and spent it on expensive clothes. While he was cheating.
Same age I developed a serious drug addiction, just to escape from my reality. In the meanwhile, I graduated from college, and university and started to work. A lot of my money gave to my parents, to keep them afloat. Nobody forced me to stop taking drugs (marihuana), because I was still high functioning. Later on, I learned I have CPTSD / ADHD or both, and I was self-medicating.
I tried to build a life of my own, just to keep being dragged into taking care of my parents and brother. He was sent to a caring home (just during the weeks) and my parents started receiving money from him because he is "disabled". In my honest opinion, he is just not very smart but could have gone a long way with the right care.
I managed to transfer him to a farm, where he is very happy. I am very content that he is in a good spot and away from my parents (during the week). When he is at home on the weekends, my mom calls me regularly to help out with taking care of him. He is a bit autistic and I speak his language. He is my best friend and I will always take care of him. My dad committed a crime in 2016 and dragged me along with it. Now, 8 years later it seems like he has to do serious jail time for it. Things are looking better for me in terms of jail time. I just lost my job (I have a burnout) because I worked my freaking ass off.
I am off the marihuana (had a minor fallback a half year ago, but I quit once again), but I am still drinking heavily. In the 8 years of the lawsuit, I managed to keep jobs, being dumped, and building a life of my own. I have a nice apartment, I have a company and I was working full-time. I had an affair with a co-worker for several years after my break-up, who turned out the have several relationships beside me. He cheated on me, just like my ex. We are still together though. I do not want to go into details but I love this man, I understand why he did what he did and I just can't be alone. I don't want to underestimate what he did, but our relationship was very FWB-type. Monogamy and a serious relationship weren't high on our agenda.
A couple of months ago I was contacted by a friend that he was cheating on me. Although it hurt a lot, it wasn't very surprising. I already had my suspicions. She and her boyfriend (75%) made false claims about how he stole things from the company (I have proof this is false) and was an extreme womanizer and not trustworthy in general. Although he is a cheater, he has always been a good boss / co-worker, and person in general. I understand this is hard to believe, but is it true. Several co-workers confirm he always had our best interest at heart.
The fact that nobody considered me during this situation there broke me. Everyone in the company already knew the wife of the other companion (75%) was planning on taking over the company. They fired him on the spot based on his relationship with me and his affairs. He had shares in the company before but gave them over in good trust to get a refund for making his home sustainable. He became an employee in the meantime. They agreed to give his shares back in February (we have this in writing). Looking back it all seems like a grand scheme to work him (and me) out of the company. Their firing of him was not legal, and we are fighting this via court to this day.
When I learned all this I stayed at home. I was done. I felt so betrayed. Now back to the reason I am writing this post. My parents know where I am at. What I am dealing with. They asked me multiple times a week for us to come by. Mostly this is accompanied by asking for financial aid. Also concerning my boyfriend, who is better off than me.
Last week they asked me to come by on Monday. I declined because I was tired and burned out. They said that I should be there on Tuesday or Wednesday. We just couldn't make it work. I asked my boyfriend to propose in the group chat to come by this evening (Thursday evening). My parents said "Never mind, just leave it be. We do not want another disappointment." I went off. I called them. My dad said, "I am going to prison for a long time, and you are not here for me." "Your mother is very disappointed in you." I stopped responding. Only to find them at my door 15 minutes later. More yelling.
I tried to explain my boundaries and where I am coming from. That I am working my ass off to make things work and I am very insecure and tired. I try to be there for them every step of the way, only when I can. They said, "I am not behaving like myself." This is no surprise to me, because now I am finally learning I am responsible for my own life and not theirs.
When they went out the door (and my mother didn't even look at me) my dad said: I expect you guys to be there tomorrow.
My boyfriend just came home and said he does not feel like going to my parents this evening when they are behaving in this immature way.
Now I am at a point in my life where I don't know what to do. I lost friends and colleagues, and I feel betrayed by everyone I ever loved. I am faced with even more lawsuit shit. I just want peace, happiness, and feeling safe. I am having therapy, I am doing the shadow work, I am doing everything to make things look better.
I love my parents, my brother, and my boyfriend (even after what he did to me, that shit is ours to figure out). The relationships with my friends (the ones I have left) are hard because they are berating me for the wrong choices I make. I just want to feel loved and supported. Not being belittled about what I do to survive.

I believe my parents are narcissists, or someone not very good at being there for their children. They had me (F, 30+) at a late age. They were well off. Both had well-paying jobs and everything looked fine. They however didn't save any money but spent it on looking wealthy (cars, etc.).
While my mother was infertile at first, they somehow managed to have me (F, 30+), my brother (M,20+), and my sister. She died by accident being 2 years old when I was in my early teens. I, my mother and brother were there, my father wasn't.
After that, everything went downhill. They went bankrupt, my mother became an alcoholic and my dad was always abroad at work, till I was 17 or so. At age 21 they lost their house (my family home), it was ceased and sold by the bank, and they did nothing. They just wallowed in self-pity. We needed money and although we live in a country that has very good benefits from the government, my father felt "too good for it" and wasn't willing to take jobs below his qualities. I was the one who managed to keep us off the streets and keep me and my disabled brother safe.
Me and my boyfriend at the time moved back in with my parents to save money for buying a house. Only to find that my parents asked about 375 euros each, just because we lived with them. In hindsight, this was because they were bankrupt. I worked like crazy during that time and gave all my money to my ex because he convinced me I couldn't handle money just like my parents. After our breakup, I learned he gambled all of it, made debt (15k in my name), and spent it on expensive clothes. While he was cheating.
Same age I developed a serious drug addiction, just to escape from my reality. In the meanwhile, I graduated from college, and university and started to work. A lot of my money gave to my parents, to keep them afloat. Nobody forced me to stop taking drugs (marihuana), because I was still high functioning. Later on, I learned I have CPTSD / ADHD or both, and I was self-medicating.
I tried to build a life of my own, just to keep being dragged into taking care of my parents and brother. He was sent to a caring home (just during the weeks) and my parents started receiving money from him because he is "disabled". In my honest opinion, he is just not very smart but could have gone a long way with the right care.
I managed to transfer him to a farm, where he is very happy. I am very content that he is in a good spot and away from my parents (during the week). When he is at home on the weekends, my mom calls me regularly to help out with taking care of him. He is a bit autistic and I speak his language. He is my best friend and I will always take care of him. My dad committed a crime in 2016 and dragged me along with it. Now, 8 years later it seems like he has to do serious jail time for it. Things are looking better for me in terms of jail time. I just lost my job (I have a burnout) because I worked my freaking ass off.
I am off the marihuana (had a minor fallback a half year ago, but I quit once again), but I am still drinking heavily. In the 8 years of the lawsuit, I managed to keep jobs, being dumped, and building a life of my own. I have a nice apartment, I have a company and I was working full-time. I had an affair with a co-worker for several years after my break-up, who turned out the have several relationships beside me. He cheated on me, just like my ex. We are still together though. I do not want to go into details but I love this man, I understand why he did what he did and I just can't be alone. I don't want to underestimate what he did, but our relationship was very FWB-type. Monogamy and a serious relationship weren't high on our agenda.

Since release AI has been inconsistent between many car types and weather conditions, not every car will win 10/10 races vs Unbeatable AI without rewind/restart abuse 5. Recently, a pro-Palestinian activist named Khaled Beydoun has posted on Instagram about his pro-Gaza comments allegedly being removed from Kendrick Lamar’s most recent post. This prompted thousands of his followers to comment Palestine flags on said post. OVO 40, a pro-Palestinian producer that works with Drake, joined the onslaught as well.
There are two issues with this. First, Kendrick Lamar’s official Instagram account is not managed by Kendrick Lamar himself. He does not check it at all, and his only activity since 2022 was a link to euphoria on Tuesday on his story. Kendrick is more active on jojoruski, but even then, he regularly disappears for months at a time for mental health breaks. His company pgLang has made advertisements for Light Phone, further emphasizing his distaste for social media and the mental energy that social media consumes. He prefers, as he alluded to in his latest song, to spend quality time with his kids and raise his family. This also explains Kendrick Lamar’s alleged “silence” on the recent escalation of the Gaza genocide — it’s not that Kendrick isn’t doing anything, but just that he prefers to keep his philanthropic efforts separate from his public persona and only come into the limelight when he has music. Remember, he did the exact same thing when George Floyd was murdered.
Secondly, Beydoun’s comments were most likely removed not by Kendrick Lamar or his team, but rather by Meta themselves. There have been numerous examples of pro-Palestinian comments being removed from an Instagram post, even in cases when the author of the Instagram post wishes for them to stay. Meta has a huge alliance with Israel and is currently waging a huge censorship campaign against pro-Palestinians. It is not surprising in the slightest that their algorithm picked up what they perceived to be “spam” on an otherwise unrelated post, and removed it as part of this censorship campaign. It does not help whatsoever that the comment that was removed was Khaled Beydoun’s first comment on any IG:KendrickLamar post, and Khaled Beydoun is a well-known Palestinian activist who has been taken down on Instagram time and time again; in fact, he was probably targeted specifically and taken down immediately upon his first comment on the account. It’s a shame that Beydoun directed his frustration at Lamar directly, rather than the actual issue, Meta’s mass systemic censorship routine.
But thirdly and most importantly, Kendrick Lamar is not a Zionist. And this isn’t “speculation,” or “wishful thinking” or “cope” (I know Drake stans frequent this subreddit). It’s just common sense. Is there any reason to believe he is? Kendrick Lamar isn’t Jewish, so it’s not as though the Zionist idea is encouraged within his community (props to Drake for exiting that mindset). Kendrick Lamar, on the contrary, has expressed time and time again that he stands for social justice, against systemic racism, against apartheid (TPAB anyone?), against discrimination of any kind, even on the basis of gender identity. These issues are directly adjacent and connected to the Palestinian plight, and virtually everyone who stands with one of those issues will stand with the Palestinians. Even without all that, do you really believe that Kendrick Lamar, witnessing the mass destruction and murder of Palestinian children; children who committed no crime and yet have to face life every day not knowing if their own family members will live by the end of it — a nonstop hell — do you really believe that Kendrick Lamar of all people would look at that and say “deserved.”?
And now, to finally begin speculating, it seems as though the master manipulator Drake is using this conflict to drive a wedge between Kendrick Lamar and his fans, using Drake’s (only mild, to be genuinely fair) public support for Palestine as a point of moral superiority.
So, to conclude, don’t fall for the tricks. Kendrick Lamar stands with Palestine. And he is, and always will be, far ahead of Drake.

Hey there! I’m Septimus (M) And it’s nice to meet you!
Today I’m coming forward with the desire to RP as an OC in OC x OC or OC x CC harem based prompts.(I’m greedy, I know but what’s RP without wish fulfilment?)
For my replies I only write in first person and the length of my replies vary from a few sentences to a few solid paragraphs depending on how much is going on in a scene. I figured I’d put a fair warning here that if you reply with low detail, I won’t be rping with you. I’m not looking for a few words as a response. While that might be your thing, that's fine and power to you! It’s just not mine.
I’m someone who likes a nice balance of build-up and story to go along with the smut. I’m not the biggest fan of constant sex, or sex that starts within one or two replies. I also like cute dates and moments, and love to type out action driven moments. Of course this isn’t exactly applicable to every starter.
What I look for in a partner:
Third Person responses (Unless you're playing an OC among the harem)
Don’t take control of my character at any point. Self explanatory but if you write that he does something or has a reaction to something I didn’t write myself I’m not going to be rping with you. You usually get one chance with this and little to no warnings.
Active: I don't wanna be waiting a week for a single reply with no warning. I understand if you're busy outside of RP but please let me know so I'm not just waiting around and twiddling my thumbs. If I go a few days up to a week without hearing from you at all I'm going to assume you're no longer interested. This is once the RP has started. I hear nothing from you I will simply assume you aren’t interested unless you state otherwise. This is just me making sure my friends list isn’t cluttered and I’m not being ghosted. :)
Communicative: It kinda links in with the other but if you're not feeling the RP or you're busy. I'm not gonna get mad or anything I'm an understanding person! Also we don’t both need to be online to RP I generally go off the idea that we both reply whenever we’re able to and the other will get to it once we’re up for it/online.
Please for the love of god don’t spam me every 5 mins. Sending “Hellos?” “?”, ask me if I’m busy, or send a message, delete it and then resend it if I don’t reply right away. It comes across as extremely pushy. I’m not ignoring you if I don’t reply, I’m probably busy. And if I come back to a bunch of spam or keep hearing the notification noise while I’m trying to do something else, it annoys me. As it would anyone I’m sure. Spamming me is a quick way to get blocked. You get one chance with this and no warnings. Sending a bunch of ideas/thoughts about the RP is fine though.
Detailed responses: Anything just around a paragraph (4+ sentences though it depends on the RP AND my response.) is enough, but more is always very much appreciated.

Now to get into the meat and potatoes, I’ll post my kinks and limits. There’s a lot there and not all of them will be applicable to the starters. Aside from Harems. Those are compulsory.
Kinks:
Harems – (Which doesn’t mean playing a bunch of characters at once. If you prefer to play 1 character per scene that’s fine, though the minimum amount of overall characters I’ll take in a harem/RP would be 4 though more is heavily preferred! This kink is currently compulsory for all my rps)

(So for this one, my character will be a transfer into class 1-A. From Shiketsu. His power is that of Persuasion. With the power he’s able to convince someone to do something as if it’s their own free will. That being said he’s rather hesitant to use it on other people and due to the stigma around his quirk he’s been seen as an outcast and a freak and has been constantly harassed due to the nature of his quirk.)
(The idea I have for this RP is that the girls of class 1-A will help him come out of his shell and accept that his quirk isn’t the villainous thing that other people have led him on to be. This is more of a “Love Route” though I suppose a more selfish route is also available! Also if you wanted to branch out to internships with heroes like Mirko and Mt Lady that’s available too! It’s currently set after the training camp arc and will continue from there.)
Starter: It was a day which started like most others in Class 1-A. The students got ready in the dorms and headed to class to chat among themselves while they waited for Aizawa to enter. However, unlike most days there seemed to be an extra desk placed in the room. The seat caused some confusion which didn’t last long as the first bell rang and Aizawa entered the room.
“Morning everyone.” He stated in his mainly bored and sleepy tone which seemed to sound like he was stifling a yawn. “Today we’ve got a new student transferring in from another school. He’s from Shiketsu, some of you may recognize the name since it’s got the same level of prestige as U.A. but regardless, make sure he feels welcome.” He said, pointing a sweeping stare at everyone and finally resting on the problem student of the U.A class Bakugo.
With that he fell silent and I felt it was my cue to enter. Swallowing a little at the nerves I steeled them quickly and entered. Nervously my blue eyes sweep over some of the familiar faces in the room. Many of the students had standout performances in the UA sports festival and as well in the news reports about the villain attack on the training camp.
I had a lot to live up to if I wanted to join these legends in training but regardless, I was determined to do just that. Breathing a little and shifting my auburn hair from my eyes I smiled the best I could. “My name is Schwarzer, Chris Schwarzer. It’s a pleasure to meet you all.” I say bowing to the class.
Satisfied with the introduction, Aizawa nodded to the spare seat in the room. Taking that as an order I nodded back and headed over to my seat sitting down and getting my books out. Curiously I turned to the seat next to me noticing one of the girls in the class and gave her a slight smile as Aizawa began his lesson.
Idea 2: One Piece.
(I’m not so sure how I want to approach this one, however I’ll jump in and give it a go. Much like the MHA starter this character will have the power of Persuasion. Having eaten the Persua-Persua fruit. I’m thinking for now either he makes a crew with characters from the story, or he joins the Straw Hats and goes on adventures with them. (Obviously this doesn’t have to be canon and completely made up as we go.) Either way I’m super keen on this since I love One Piece to death. I also have a list of potential crewmates I can send!)
Starter: Adventure! Freedom, Treasure and Booze! These were all the things a pirate needed in life. And exactly what every pirate set out to obtain. Two years after the events at Marineford where Strawhat Luffy himself took on the government with an army behind him, and the Whitebeard Pirates at his side in order to rescue his brother… And two years since I felt inspired enough in his absence to set forth on my own.
I gathered up a strong crew and made a name for myself. My alias, Silver Tongue Schwarzer, is a nice title which rolled off the tongue. I had no issues amassing a sizable bounty at 90 million berries. While it wasn’t as grand as other pirates, the world government saw enough of a threat in my power to provide a bounty that large. Of course, had my powers been widely known it’d have rocketed higher.
So then why was I now sitting at a bar on the Sabaody Archipelago, alone and staring into the amber liquid of booze in a mug? It was simple. Mutiny. Those whom I had trusted most among my crew turned on a dime and after reaching the Archipelago they threw me overboard and turned around. To where I didn’t know and quite frankly after their betrayal I didn’t care.
“Damn them. Damn them all.” I muttered under my breath cursing as I downed the rest of my contents. “Another!” I called out to the barkeep who approached to fill my mug.
“You’re looking a little rough there, are you sure you need another?” The bartender asked as he took the mug from me.
“I don’t have anything else to do. I don’t even know what else to do with myself.” I responded grumpily. “Just fill it up.” I demanded.
“Right.” The bartender responded as he filled it with more of the alcoholic amber liquid and slid It in front of me.
Idea 9: Bleach
(So a new human soul reaper makes it into the soul society. His power isn’t great to begin with simply being enough to take out the average hollow. And with the resurgence of the hollow threat the Soul Society has offered to give him a substitute badge to take out those hollows deemed too small for the soul society to handle. Maybe he’s paired up with someone or someone like Orihime steps in to help him grow.)
Starter: Another boring day at university followed by a night of boring patrols. With all the big hollows being taken care of by “Full-fledged” Soul reapers it didn’t leave me with much opportunity to train against bigger enemies.
At least that’s what I thought originally. A few blocks from me there was a rift which opened up and the pure spiritual pressure that came from the hollow that stepped out of it was enough to make me feel as though gravity itself was pushing against me.
It was hard to breathe and even harder to stand as my hand clutched my blade in my left hand tightly. I shook my head as I heard the loud roar of the large breast and could even see its towering form from my position.
It was nothing close to a menos, but it was enough to tower over a three-story building for sure. “Damn.” I hissed to myself as I knew there were no soul reapers around at this stage. With a threat this big I was sure they’d come, but until then it was up to me to buy some time and make sure no humans or souls were consumed.
Pushing myself forward I reached the park that the Hollow had appeared in. Thankfully the park was deserted at this time of night.
When he saw me, the hollow let out a low growl. “You don’t smell like much, but you’ll do as a snack.” The hollow commented as it charged forward.
“Just evade, buy time.” I commented to myself as I began to leap around the battlefield looking a bit like and feeling like an idiot.
The hollow toyed with me a little while enjoying the chase before it seemed to get bored. Just when I was thinking I was fast enough to keep avoiding it the creature’s mouth opened and its forked tongue shot out at me with faster speed than I was anticipating. I raised my blade to defend myself but it was a feeble attempt and I knew it wouldn’t be enough.
Idea 20: Persona (Girls from 3, 4 and 5).
(So basically this is just gonna be a fairly interesting idea. My character along with the girls of persona 3, 4 and 5 get stranded in this strange dimension where they have to fight their way out to make it back to their own worlds.)
Starter: It all happened so fast. One minute I was in a team meeting with my group discussing what we should use our newfound powers for next. And the next second, I blinked and I was in some kind of strange room.
One by one more people were added into this room. Some of which were dressed in some elaborate costumes. And I frowned as I looked at each one of them, all of which I didn’t recognize at all and judging by their looks they didn’t recognize me. Although before we managed to introduce ourselves a booming voice broke the silence.
“Welcome all!” The clearly male voice commented. “To the room of my design.” He added on. “I’m sure you’re all confused. And no doubt you’ll want to return back to your homes. However, to do so you’ll need to enter my labyrinth. “Make it to the end and you’ll all return home.” The voice explained.
“Of course, this maze isn’t without its dangers. Enemies, much like you encounter on a regular basis will roam these halls. As well as beasts of my own design far stronger than those… Fear not though for every checkpoint you reach this room will become more furnished with amenities. For now, you simply have beds to rest on.” He said as there was an audible click and the dark room was suddenly lit up. Sure, enough there were rows of beds all lined up one for each person to sleep on.
“When you’re ready to test yourself, step through this door and enter the first level of the labyrinth.” He declared as a large door appeared and opened up in front of them.
For a while nobody said anything, probably all too stunned to even process the information.
“So, I’m guessing we’re all persona users given what he just said.” I spoke up. “I guess we should probably start with names and strengths, right?” I questioned the group. “I’m Chris Schwarzer.” I say. “My persona, Seraph focuses on ranged combat.” I explained.
Idea 21: Final Fantasy VII. (Others Can be done! :))
(So this one will be set in the world of Final Fantasy VII, however if you’re looking to do others, I’m more than happy to do so! I’m familiar with them all. Mainly 7 and 14 But this one will be focused on FF VII, since Jessie, Yuffie, Tifa and Aerith are best girls! If you wanted to mix this up with FF 14 and have them transported to Eorzea we can make something up!)
Starter: Midgar. Easy place to find work given you were capable enough. There were a lot of monsters prowling the highways between sectors and a lot of people willing to pay mercenaries to get the job done.
“Hiyah!” I called out as I cleaved my blade through the neck of a monster severing its head from the rest of its body and slaying it instantly. It was a tough fight but I overcame it. I panted a little as my muscles relaxed and I slid my blade back into its sheath. The job I was on was simple, kill the beast and return its head to a barkeep in sector 5. I scooped the beast’s head up into a burlap sack and hoisted it over my shoulder before I headed back to the bar.
By this point I was a rather well-known mercenary. Jobs exterminating monsters were easy to come by and easy enough to complete. Plus, the payout paid for my room and for most of my meals. As I entered the bar I headed up to the counter and placed the bloody burlap sack on the counter. “Got it done.” I say to the barkeep.
The older man, his hair and beard white with age frowned a little and looked at the bag. The blood splatter on the counter… which he had just cleaned was enough to let him know that I was serious and he placed the sack full of gil on the counter.
“Thanks.” I say as I picked up the purse. It was lighter than I expected, but even if it was short I wasn’t about to start an argument. In return to my manners, I got a short grunt back.
“Don’tcha forget about disposin of that thing, I ain’t want it.” He said waving his hand dismissively towards the bag.
“Right, I’ll get on that.” I say as I grabbed the sack.
“An there was a woman lookin for you.” He stated. “Said she’d be waitin for you in buildin next to the orphanage.” He stated.
“Right, thanks.” I said to the man and headed out, disposing quickly of the severed head in the sack before I headed up to the building in question. I frowned as I peered inside. My eyes looking around for any sign of someone out of place. It did seem a little crowded in the building after all. I was about to announce myself when I felt a hand tap my shoulder and turned to see who it was.

(So for this one, my character will be a transfer into class 1-A. From Shiketsu. His power is that of Persuasion. With the power he’s able to convince someone to do something as if it’s their own free will. That being said he’s rather hesitant to use it on other people and due to the stigma around his quirk he’s been seen as an outcast and a freak and has been constantly harassed due to the nature of his quirk.)
(The idea I have for this RP is that the girls of class 1-A will help him come out of his shell and accept that his quirk isn’t the villainous thing that other people have led him on to be. This is more of a “Love Route” though I suppose a more selfish route is also available! Also if you wanted to branch out to internships with heroes like Mirko and Mt Lady that’s available too! It’s currently set after the training camp arc and will continue from there.)
Starter: It was a day which started like most others in Class 1-A. The students got ready in the dorms and headed to class to chat among themselves while they waited for Aizawa to enter. However, unlike most days there seemed to be an extra desk placed in the room. The seat caused some confusion which didn’t last long as the first bell rang and Aizawa entered the room.
“Morning everyone.” He stated in his mainly bored and sleepy tone which seemed to sound like he was stifling a yawn. “Today we’ve got a new student transferring in from another school. He’s from Shiketsu, some of you may recognize the name since it’s got the same level of prestige as U.A. but regardless, make sure he feels welcome.” He said, pointing a sweeping stare at everyone and finally resting on the problem student of the U.A class Bakugo.
With that he fell silent and I felt it was my cue to enter. Swallowing a little at the nerves I steeled them quickly and entered. Nervously my blue eyes sweep over some of the familiar faces in the room. Many of the students had standout performances in the UA sports festival and as well in the news reports about the villain attack on the training camp.
I had a lot to live up to if I wanted to join these legends in training but regardless, I was determined to do just that. Breathing a little and shifting my auburn hair from my eyes I smiled the best I could. “My name is Schwarzer, Chris Schwarzer. It’s a pleasure to meet you all.” I say bowing to the class.
Satisfied with the introduction, Aizawa nodded to the spare seat in the room. Taking that as an order I nodded back and headed over to my seat sitting down and getting my books out. Curiously I turned to the seat next to me noticing one of the girls in the class and gave her a slight smile as Aizawa began his lesson.
Idea 2: One Piece.
(I’m not so sure how I want to approach this one, however I’ll jump in and give it a go. Much like the MHA starter this character will have the power of Persuasion. Having eaten the Persua-Persua fruit. I’m thinking for now either he makes a crew with characters from the story, or he joins the Straw Hats and goes on adventures with them. (Obviously this doesn’t have to be canon and completely made up as we go.) Either way I’m super keen on this since I love One Piece to death. I also have a list of potential crewmates I can send!)
Starter: Adventure! Freedom, Treasure and Booze! These were all the things a pirate needed in life. And exactly what every pirate set out to obtain. Two years after the events at Marineford where Strawhat Luffy himself took on the government with an army behind him, and the Whitebeard Pirates at his side in order to rescue his brother… And two years since I felt inspired enough in his absence to set forth on my own.
I gathered up a strong crew and made a name for myself. My alias, Silver Tongue Schwarzer, is a nice title which rolled off the tongue. I had no issues amassing a sizable bounty at 90 million berries. While it wasn’t as grand as other pirates, the world government saw enough of a threat in my power to provide a bounty that large. Of course, had my powers been widely known it’d have rocketed higher.
So then why was I now sitting at a bar on the Sabaody Archipelago, alone and staring into the amber liquid of booze in a mug? It was simple. Mutiny. Those whom I had trusted most among my crew turned on a dime and after reaching the Archipelago they threw me overboard and turned around. To where I didn’t know and quite frankly after their betrayal I didn’t care.
“Damn them. Damn them all.” I muttered under my breath cursing as I downed the rest of my contents. “Another!” I called out to the barkeep who approached to fill my mug.
“You’re looking a little rough there, are you sure you need another?” The bartender asked as he took the mug from me.
“I don’t have anything else to do. I don’t even know what else to do with myself.” I responded grumpily. “Just fill it up.” I demanded.
“Right.” The bartender responded as he filled it with more of the alcoholic amber liquid and slid It in front of me.
Idea 9: Bleach
(So a new human soul reaper makes it into the soul society. His power isn’t great to begin with simply being enough to take out the average hollow. And with the resurgence of the hollow threat the Soul Society has offered to give him a substitute badge to take out those hollows deemed too small for the soul society to handle. Maybe he’s paired up with someone or someone like Orihime steps in to help him grow.)
Starter: Another boring day at university followed by a night of boring patrols. With all the big hollows being taken care of by “Full-fledged” Soul reapers it didn’t leave me with much opportunity to train against bigger enemies.
At least that’s what I thought originally. A few blocks from me there was a rift which opened up and the pure spiritual pressure that came from the hollow that stepped out of it was enough to make me feel as though gravity itself was pushing against me.
It was hard to breathe and even harder to stand as my hand clutched my blade in my left hand tightly. I shook my head as I heard the loud roar of the large breast and could even see its towering form from my position.
It was nothing close to a menos, but it was enough to tower over a three-story building for sure. “Damn.” I hissed to myself as I knew there were no soul reapers around at this stage. With a threat this big I was sure they’d come, but until then it was up to me to buy some time and make sure no humans or souls were consumed.
Pushing myself forward I reached the park that the Hollow had appeared in. Thankfully the park was deserted at this time of night.
When he saw me, the hollow let out a low growl. “You don’t smell like much, but you’ll do as a snack.” The hollow commented as it charged forward.
“Just evade, buy time.” I commented to myself as I began to leap around the battlefield looking a bit like and feeling like an idiot.
The hollow toyed with me a little while enjoying the chase before it seemed to get bored. Just when I was thinking I was fast enough to keep avoiding it the creature’s mouth opened and its forked tongue shot out at me with faster speed than I was anticipating. I raised my blade to defend myself but it was a feeble attempt and I knew it wouldn’t be enough.
Idea 20: Persona (Girls from 3, 4 and 5).
(So basically this is just gonna be a fairly interesting idea. My character along with the girls of persona 3, 4 and 5 get stranded in this strange dimension where they have to fight their way out to make it back to their own worlds.)
Starter: It all happened so fast. One minute I was in a team meeting with my group discussing what we should use our newfound powers for next. And the next second, I blinked and I was in some kind of strange room.
One by one more people were added into this room. Some of which were dressed in some elaborate costumes. And I frowned as I looked at each one of them, all of which I didn’t recognize at all and judging by their looks they didn’t recognize me. Although before we managed to introduce ourselves a booming voice broke the silence.
“Welcome all!” The clearly male voice commented. “To the room of my design.” He added on. “I’m sure you’re all confused. And no doubt you’ll want to return back to your homes. However, to do so you’ll need to enter my labyrinth. “Make it to the end and you’ll all return home.” The voice explained.
“Of course, this maze isn’t without its dangers. Enemies, much like you encounter on a regular basis will roam these halls. As well as beasts of my own design far stronger than those… Fear not though for every checkpoint you reach this room will become more furnished with amenities. For now, you simply have beds to rest on.” He said as there was an audible click and the dark room was suddenly lit up. Sure, enough there were rows of beds all lined up one for each person to sleep on.
“When you’re ready to test yourself, step through this door and enter the first level of the labyrinth.” He declared as a large door appeared and opened up in front of them.
For a while nobody said anything, probably all too stunned to even process the information.
“So, I’m guessing we’re all persona users given what he just said.” I spoke up. “I guess we should probably start with names and strengths, right?” I questioned the group. “I’m Chris Schwarzer.” I say. “My persona, Seraph focuses on ranged combat.” I explained.
Idea 21: Final Fantasy VII. (Others Can be done! :))
(So this one will be set in the world of Final Fantasy VII, however if you’re looking to do others, I’m more than happy to do so! I’m familiar with them all. Mainly 7 and 14 But this one will be focused on FF VII, since Jessie, Yuffie, Tifa and Aerith are best girls! If you wanted to mix this up with FF 14 and have them transported to Eorzea we can make something up!)
Starter: Midgar. Easy place to find work given you were capable enough. There were a lot of monsters prowling the highways between sectors and a lot of people willing to pay mercenaries to get the job done.
“Hiyah!” I called out as I cleaved my blade through the neck of a monster severing its head from the rest of its body and slaying it instantly. It was a tough fight but I overcame it. I panted a little as my muscles relaxed and I slid my blade back into its sheath. The job I was on was simple, kill the beast and return its head to a barkeep in sector 5. I scooped the beast’s head up into a burlap sack and hoisted it over my shoulder before I headed back to the bar.
By this point I was a rather well-known mercenary. Jobs exterminating monsters were easy to come by and easy enough to complete. Plus, the payout paid for my room and for most of my meals. As I entered the bar I headed up to the counter and placed the bloody burlap sack on the counter. “Got it done.” I say to the barkeep.
The older man, his hair and beard white with age frowned a little and looked at the bag. The blood splatter on the counter… which he had just cleaned was enough to let him know that I was serious and he placed the sack full of gil on the counter.
“Thanks.” I say as I picked up the purse. It was lighter than I expected, but even if it was short I wasn’t about to start an argument. In return to my manners, I got a short grunt back.
“Don’tcha forget about disposin of that thing, I ain’t want it.” He said waving his hand dismissively towards the bag.
“Right, I’ll get on that.” I say as I grabbed the sack.
“An there was a woman lookin for you.” He stated. “Said she’d be waitin for you in buildin next to the orphanage.” He stated.
“Right, thanks.” I said to the man and headed out, disposing quickly of the severed head in the sack before I headed up to the building in question. I frowned as I peered inside. My eyes looking around for any sign of someone out of place. It did seem a little crowded in the building after all. I was about to announce myself when I felt a hand tap my shoulder and turned to see who it was.
