Cymbalta withdraw at night

Withdrawal bleeding not stopping on new pill

2024.05.18 22:04 OrneryOstrich5045 Withdrawal bleeding not stopping on new pill

As per my previous posts, I moved overseas and I had to switch ingredients when it came to my birth control. I thought I was handling the new birth control fine, but I am not stopping bleeding. I had a small placebo week since normally I don’t like to take the whole week, and it is still going. I don’t know what to do since I just started my actives again. It always fakes me out by giving me an idea it’s ending at night and then the morning it’s back at it again. I am at my wits end, how do you deal with this? I sometimes have a longer withdrawal bleed when I switch pills but I’m at two weeks now going on three this week. It’s annoying, I am thinking of talking to the clinic about it to see what we can do but I probably won’t be able to get a new prescription for a while, anything in the meantime that can help? Or is it a ride it out situation?

2024.05.18 21:03 adhdaniel Withdrawal side effects

So I’m tapering myself off and I’m at the point where I’m not taking this drug anymore. The withdrawal symptoms drive me crazy, I feel very dizzy and lightheaded. Every head move I make I’m getting the sensation I’m about to lose consciousness and my fingertips and thumbs are tingling. After every meal I’m very very nauseous like I’m about to throw up and I need to go to the toilet like 3 times after each meal. It’s very hard to fall asleep and I can barely sleep. Today I woke up only after 5 hours of sleep and I had headache through my entire day. I feel sleepy and exhausted yet alert in a weird way. I also get this weird nightmarish dreams at night and I wake up during the night. On the emotional aspect I feel much better, I’m starting to feel emotions again (even if they are not the best ones 😅) - I really missed that. I’m slowly but surely getting back my sex drive which is good. But how do I get over this physical effects? Please help 😢

2024.05.18 20:12 jwlpetz 27 hours vape free!!! no withdrawals?

27 hours nicotine/vape free :) this is the longest i’ve gone in about 3 years (when i started vaping again after quitting the first time)
my addiction had gotten so bad i was waking up in the middle of the night to get a hit, it would be the first thing i did when waking up and the last thing before going to bed. i would hit it CONSTANTLY and go the bathroom in public constantly to rip it.
so i decided i needed to quit and i’m now 27 hours in. the first 10 hours were honestly the worst and right now i definitely want nicotine but other than some cravings in the back of my mind i’m not feeling any physical withdrawals.
am i in the clear from withdrawals at this point or is the worst still coming??

2024.05.18 18:38 dawnfire05 Can you have a stack of one type, but feel you still relate to another type more?

I've been considering the stack of my cognitive functions and it's been making me question if I'm really an ENFP.
I wrote a long post yesterday but I closed the damn thing on accident before I could post it, but reflecting on what I did write it absolutely was Ne dom no question. Ne with Fi influencing it, I basically was asking if I'm really an introvert.
I talked to my bf afterwards about it instead, and he absolutely thinks I'm an introvert. I can get along with people if I have to, and I often enjoy the attention when I get it, but I much prefer my alone time and I suck so hard at conversion I prefer to just avoid people entirely.
I have autism, ADHD, social anxiety, and problems with my memory so it really is difficult for me to accurately type myself. Am I Ne dom or am I just jumping thought trains every 10 seconds because of ADHD? Am I actually a people person but I'm just in truly crippling fear of other humans because of social anxiety? Do I use Si over Te but I just have memory problems?
I don't have friends, I want friends in theory, but I struggle to keep friends esp when it comes to long conversations. I want to be extremely close to someone, have a "special" person, that's my bf. Sometimes he's not enough, but the job is filled and I'm mostly satisfied. I heard somewhere that it's actually extrovertion if you prefer to have your "special" person to be around than be on your own, I'd say I mostly prefer to split my time between my bf and myself, come up with all my crazy ideas in my alone time then spend hours with him just word vomiting.
Thing is, I'm a talker. Seriously a talker. I never shut up. Guess I love the sound of my own voice. A "good night" becomes a 3 hour ordeal as I keep finding a new "last" thing to say. If given a person I like and they want to talk to me too, I'll never shut up.
But around anyone else, lips are zipped. I'm the quiet person. The one who prefers the corner. Parties? Absolutely not! I've always been the outcast, the person to talk on the grass, the "oh my god I didn't notice you were here" sort of person. Because any time I do try to speak people always talk over me, or if they do let me speak I feel like they're treating me like I'm some dumb child and I hate it.
I prefer to retreat and be on my own. But I can't keep off reddit, making posts, making comments. My karma count comes from how much I've commented, and that's without having a top comment on a big sub. And I go crazy if I don't have anywhere I can just tell somebody about my thoughts. It's like I'm going to explode.
My poor notes app is suffocating because any thought I can't tell someone, at least I'll write it down. All these new crazy thoughts and innovative ideas, I write them down.
But man, even if I need to talk, even if I really like when people give me attention and they treat me as an equal, I just can't get over the fact that I really dislike being around humans. They're so... Unpredictable. And they have opinions I disagree with and I just don't usually like dealing with that unless we can sit down for hours to talk it out and see the other's perspectives. I still get emotional when doing so, I can get so angry, and I'll even shut a conversation down over it and just leave to withdraw and brood. I'm very broody.
People look at me as the shining example of an introvert, but honestly I've been wondering just what is introversion really?
My Te is the main thing that had me questioning my type. I very much use The over Si, I actually tend to prefer Te a lot of the time. And considering if I'm more Ne or Fi dom, I've been looking at how I write and think, and I really am thinking I'm more Ne dom. Ne-Fi-Te I feel is what drives my life, what leads me to enjoying learning about the world.
But ENTPs are ✨extroverts✨. And, looking at search words on the sub, even if they identify more introverted, they tend to still seem like they also like to be the life of the party sometimes. I don't want to be. Leave me in my quiet corner to draw, I'll only venture out for more snacks. I really only feel comfortable talking to people who treat me as an equal and enjoy what I have to say, but that's really hard to find tbh. I just.... Don't do socializing.
I heavily relate to INFPs. The stereotypes, the memes, what people in this community have to talk about, I just really fit in with INFPs best and I feel like most people would also probably type me as such.
Despite my behavior being INFP- esc, I still seem to prefer my Ne and my Te over my Fi and Si.
And I just don't know what that means. If it quacks like an INFP, is it an INFP, even if it's the goose that's quacking?
I'm kinda in a weird place where I'm sorta just an XNXP, and even knowing more about cognitive functions, I just really vibe with the INFPs. I don't like how the ENFP sub talks about extroversion a lot, I like the quiet quirkiness of the INFP sub it fits my vibe.
I just don't know if I could cognitively be stacked like an ENFP, but then because of my neurodivergencies I just wind up vibing with INFPs more because my behavior shows up more like INFP even if the functions are stacked just a little flip flopped.

2024.05.18 17:45 Caebrine If I can do it, anyone can do it.

I'm serious. I started smoking when I was 13. I'm now 38 and I don't even know what kind of "normal" my brain is capable of, since I've never been a functional adult without nicotine. It's quite scary when I think about it.
But. I quit in February, relapsed for a while in April (my job kinda got the most insane it ever was), and am now on attempt no. 2 - currently 9 days. It feels both easy and hard. Some things I noticed (both times...) -
Genuinely: I'm not a very strong person, willpower is not a thing I possess and I can assure you that each and every person here probably has better odds of making it than I do. But even I am not going to smoke today, so - you can probably resist it too.
Just leaving this here for some extra motivation on the days I need it (because I probably will need it).

Draft Kings zeroed out my account
I had done some withdrawals last night and only had 1 bet open. So I wake up this morning to a balance of $38.29. Then suddenly at 9:04am there’s a payout reversal of -$122.07 and they zeroed out my account. This makes no sense to me.

2024.05.18 16:29 rivkablue14 Feeling pretty bad about this

I need feedback. I’m feeling pretty sad about it.
My husband is a drinker. He’s usually a well-meaning decent guy, but when he drinks he says things that feel mean or dismissive or invalidating. I’m struggling to feel close to him as it is, but when he drinks often says something that makes me feel really alone and like hiding and withdrawing further.
We’ve had a particularly hard time lately, struggling to deal with my hypervigilance and sensitivity to sound. It’s definitely a trauma/upbringing thing, and I can’t turn it off despite my best efforts.
He likes to watch dumb shows/video games loud at night, and talk really loud, and isn’t conscious of how loud he makes noise at night. He has headphones that he could use but often refuses or gets upset when I ask him to use them. After my son goes to sleep (in my bed), my husband often retreats into his office that used to be our walk in closet, like 12 feet from where my son sleeps. Even in there with the door shut, the volume is loud through the door. I am perpetually asking him to be a little quieter and more respectful of our son while he’s sleeping so he can actually have restful sleep. My kid aside, the loud noise at night makes me feel panicked, edgy, and like we are doing the wrong thing, and I don’t know how to not feel that way.
He doesn’t respond to me asking him to be more quiet well. He’s not understanding or sympathetic about it. Last night, we went downstairs at midnight to grab ice cream. His mom lives with us in a room off the kitchen, and she was sleeping 20 feet away. He threw the freezer door open so hard that it shook all the bottles in the fridge, pulled stuff out, moved it around, dropped something loud on the floor and slammed the freezer door closed. My entire body went tense and I said “please, please be quiet. Your mom is sleeping”, to which he replied “what is your problem? I’m doing absolutely nothing wrong. Nothing. I’m just living and making noise like a normal person. You need to just calm the fuck down. I’m just existing. You’re the one with the problem. You’re too sensitive. Fucking calm down.”
I just… I don’t know what to do with that. I feel hurt and alone, and that consideration is not being made for what I need to help feel safe and calm. Consideration is not being made for his son or his mom. No consideration for my symptoms, no consideration for having expressed that his drinking bothers me. It just left me feeling like “well what the hell am I doing in a marriage where I can’t be how I am and be offered support and kindness? How long do I tolerate this? Am I overreacting?”
I’d just like some feedback. Feeling alone and sad. Thanks.

2024.05.18 15:14 Owen_Stole_My_Bike I started taking Feel Free to fuel my workouts, now I'm shackled to them and need some help quitting.

Here's my story. I have been training for my first bodybuilding show since October 2023. For the first time in a very long time, I have fully committed myself to doing something new and have been pouring all of my energy and being into training for this show that's coming up the first week in June.
It was in February when a guy at my gym introduced me to Kratom extract shots. I have previously taken Kratom capsules to help alleviate withdrawal symptoms coming off a 5 year suboxone habit about 4 years ago. I used it daily for about 4 weeks, then stopped completely cold turkey without any withdrawals from the Kratom.
When the guy at the gym told me what it was, I was extremely skeptical about it helping me in my workouts, as I had prior experience with it. I took him up on it though and drank an entire feel free shot right before lifting.
Holy shit. I was amazed at how good it made me feel and how much it seemingly enhanced the entire gym experience. Not only did it help me lift more weight, it also helped me socialize. I'm normally very shy and reserved, especially at the gym. When I took this drink however, I wanted to talk to everyone, including the attractive females I was too afraid to approach before. I remember thinking very clearly that first day, ugh oh, this is too good and is going to lead to bad things.
The first couple of weeks I would take one of the feel free shots as a pre-workout and not redose again until the next day, and the next workout. I then decided it was such a performance enhancer, I could double my progress if I did two workouts a day, which meant drinking 2 shots a day.
Ultimately it led to taking a third shot in between my workouts because I liked the way it made me feel so much, I didn't want the feeling to stop. One day when my local smoke shop ran out of feel free's (likely because I had bought them all) he introduced me to OPMS shots, which were even more potent.
It was about 3.5 weeks ago that I woke up one morning feeling like absolute dog shit. I instantly knew exactly what that feeling was, and what it meant. It was withdrawal, and it meant that it had finally caught up to me and now I was physically dependent on it. Of course, like that addict I am, I went to the smoke shop and waited outside their door until they opened so I could get my fix.
It wasn't very long after this, that all the joy and dopamine rushes of drinking Kratom shots and working out vanished. There are no more enhanced workouts or social lubricant. Workouts have become boring and monotonous and I literally try my best now not to talk to anyone. I am lucky if I get 4 hours of sleep a night, and most nights I'm up several times changing my clothes and pillow case from being absolutely drenched in sweat.
It has turned me into a really mean, angry, irritable, impatient, asshole. Even if I drink 3 FF's at one time, I don't enjoy the feeling anymore. Dammed if I drink one, dammed if I don't. I hate the way I am now when I'm on it around my kids and the people who love me. I find myself being incredibly short and even annoyed at my beautiful kids when they try and talk to me, their dad. Just in the very short time I've been taking it, it has really affected my closest relationships the most. My wife is so angry with me, and all the money I've spent on Kratom, she's sleeping on the couch and legitimately thinking about leaving me and taking the kids with her. Needless to say, it's time for me to quit.
I have a few questions about quitting that I hope someone can help answer for me.
(1) How does the withdrawal from Kratom compare to withdrawal from Suboxone? How about Percocets and Vicodin? I have come off of these before, so I know what to expect for those, is Kratom withdrawal as intense?
(2) I still have my bodybuilding show coming up in 3 weeks. I have trained way too hard, and already paid way too much money to skip it.
If I quit cold turkey today, am I going to be through most of the ickiness by then, and be able to actually compete at high level?
Would doing a 3 week taper be better?
I was contemplating switching to the capsules instead of the extracts and then jumping off, has anyone had success in doing this?
The night sweats are the absolute worst side effect for me, what's the best way to minimize them during a taper?
Have I completely ruined the gym and the positive benefits I was getting from it, or can you go back to doing the things you loved before feel free after quitting them. My fear is that I will now always associate the gym with the feel free high, and not the natural high I used to get from working out.
This is such a wonderful community. I've spent the last few days reading the stories here of people who are just like me. It's very comforting to know that I'm not alone. This place has really pushed me into finally trying to quit and get this fucking monkey off of my back once and for all. Thank you all.

2024.05.18 14:27 koopaflower Did I switch birth control brands incorrectly?

Switched from Enskyce to Apri (same hormones and dosage) on day 5 of placebos (which is when I normally start my next pack). I was already having my withdrawal bleed at this point (I didn't wait to take the new pack, I took them the same day I got Apri). I will abstain from sex for 7 days. I started Apri Wednesday (15th) night.
I'm really worrying right now, this is the first time I've switched birth control brands. I've been on Enskyce since March or April of 2023, so those hormones have been in my body for a while.
Edit: I last had sex 10th and 11th, how screwed am I?

2024.05.18 13:30 arrogantKermitt I’m beginning to think I’m an alcoholic

I’ve been drinking a lot since 2020. Quarantine jump started it. It’s all I ever did but it was socially. I drank off and on but from early 2023 to now, I have been drinking constantly alone. I wake up in the morning after a night of drinking, and take 3+ shots. I’m having mental cravings all the time but I’m not having physical withdrawals. I will say that. I’m beyond denial at this point but I don’t think it’s far enough along for physical withdrawals. It’s just the mental addiction for me right now? I have to drink so much to feel the same level of drunk I used to feel and it never feels like enough. I was in denial for years. My ex and my family have expressed concerns for my drinking through out the years but it’s getting worse now. I’m drunk more often than not. I know it’s gotten bad because I can’t even be in denial about it anymore…

2024.05.18 12:49 Doctor_of_Puns Jacob Boehme and the Secret Doctrine - William Q. Judge

Jacob Boehme (or as some say Behmen) was a German mystic and spiritualist who began to write in the 17th century. In his works he inserted a picture of an angel blowing a trumpet, from which issued these words: "To all Christians, Jews, Turks and Heathens, to all the nations of the earth this Trumpet sounds for the last time." In truth it was a curious emblem, but he, the author, was a mystic, and as all experience shows, the path of the mystic is a strange one. It is, as Job says, a path which the "vulture knoweth not." Even as a bird cleaves the eternal ether, so the mystic advances on a path nor ordinarily manifest, a way which must be followed with care, because like the Great Light, which flashes forth and leaves only traces when it returns again to its centre, only indications are left for those who come after seeking the same spiritual wisdom. Yet by these "traces," for such they are called in the Kabbala, the way can be discerned, and the truth discovered.
Boehme was poor, of common birth, and totally devoid of ordinary education. He was only a shoemaker. Yet from the mind and out of the mouth of this unlettered man came mighty truths.
It would be idle to inquire into the complications of Karma which condemned him to such a life as his appeared to be. It must have been extremely curious, because though he had grasped the truth and was able to appreciate it, yet at the same time he could not give it out in its perfect form. But he performed his work, and there can be no manner of doubt about his succeeding incarnation. As Krishna says in the Bhagavad-Gita, he has been already or will shortly be "born into a family of wise devotees"; and thence "he will attain the highest walk."
His life and writings furnish another proof that the great wisdom-religion―the Secret Doctrine―has never been left without a witness. Born a Christian, he nevertheless saw the esoteric truth lying under the moss and crust of centuries, and from the Christian Bible extracted for his purblind fellows those pearls which they refused to accept. But he did not get his knowledge from the Christian Scriptures only. Before his internal eye the panorama of real knowledge passed. His interior vision being open he could see the things he had learned in a former life, and at first not knowing what they were was stimulated by them to construe his only spiritual books in the esoteric fashion. His brain took cognizance of the Book before him, but his spirit aided by his past, and perchance by the living guardians of the shining lamp of truth, could not but read them aright.
His work was called "The Dawning of the Eternal Day." In this he endeavors to outline the great philosophy. He narrates the circumstances and reasons for the angelic creation, the fall of its chief three hierarchies, and the awful effects which thereupon fell upon Eternal Nature. Mark this, not upon man―for he was not yet―but upon the eternal Nature, that is BRAHM. Then he says that these effects came about by reason of the unbalancing of the seven equipoised powers of forces of the Eternal Nature or Brahm. That is to say, that so long as the seven principles of Brahm were in perfect poise, there was no corporeal or manifested universe. So in the Bhagavad-Gita we find that Krishna tells Arjuna that "after the lapse of a thousand ages (or Night of Brahm) all objects of developed matter come forth from the non-developed principle. At the approach of that day they emanate spontaneously." (Bhagavad-Gita, Chap. 8. ) Such is the teaching of the Secret Doctrine.
And again Boehme shows the duality of the Supreme Soul. For he says in his work "Psychologia Vera cum Supplemento" that these two eternal principles of positive and negative, the yea and the nay of the outspeaking Supreme One, together constitute eternal nature,―not the dark world alone; which is termed the "root of nature,―" the two being as it were combined in perfect indissoluble union.
This is nothing else but Purush and Prakriti, or taken together, what is referred to in the Bhagavad-Gita where it is said: "But there is another invisible, eternal existence, superior to this visible one, which does not perish when all things perish. It is called invisible and indivisible. This is my Supreme Abode."
Clearly the Supreme Abode could never be in Purush alone, nor in Prakriti alone, but in both when indissolubly united.
This scheme is adhered to all through this great philosopher's works, no matter whether he is speaking of the great Universe or macrocosm, or of its antitype in man or microcosm. In "De Tribus Principiis" he treats of the three principles or worlds of Nature, describing its eternal birth, its seven properties, and the two co-eternal principles; and furthermore in "De Triplici Vita Hominis" he gives the three-fold life of man from which the seven is again deduced.
In "De Electione Gratia" he goes into a subject that often proves a stumbling block to many, and that is the inevitableness of evil as well as of good. From this it is easy to pass to a contemplation of one of the difficult points in occultism as shown in the Secret Doctrine, that nothing is evil, and that even if we admit evil or wickedness in man, it is of the nature of the quality or guna, which in the Bhagavad-Gita is denominated raja―foulness or bad action. Even this is better than the indifferent action that only leads to death. Even from wickedness may and does come forth spiritual life, but from indifferent action comes only darkness, and finally death.
Krishna says in Bhagavad-Gita, Chap. IV: "There are three kinds of action: first, that which is of the nature of Satyam, or true action; second, that which is of the nature of Raja, or bad action; third, that which is of the nature of Tamas, or indifferent action." He then says: "Although thou wert the greatest of all offenders, thou shalt be able to cross the gulf of sin in the bark of spiritual wisdom"; and a little farther on "The ignorant and man without faith, whose spirit is full of doubt, is lost and cannot enjoy either world." And in another chapter in describing Himself, he says that he is not only the Buddha, but also is the most evil of mankind or the Asura.
This is one of the most mystical parts of the whole secret doctrine. While Boehme has touched on it sufficiently to show that he had a memory of it, he did not go into the most occult details. It has to be remembered that the Bhagavad-Gita, and many other books treating on the Secret Doctrine, must be regarded from seven points of view; and that imperfect man is not able to look at it from the centre, which would give the whole seven points at once.
Boehme wrote about thirty different treatise, all of them devoted to great subjects, portions of the Secret Doctrine.
Curiously enough the first treated of the "Dawn of the Eternal Day," and the second was devoted to an elucidation of "The Three Principles of Man." In the latter is really to be found a sevenfold classification similar to that which Mr. Sinnett propounded in "Esoteric Buddhism."
He held that the greatest obstacle in the path of man is the astral or elementary power, which engenders and sustain this world.
Then he talks of "tinctures," which we may call principles. According to him there are two principles ones, the watery, and the igneous. These ought to be united in Man; and they ardently seek each other continually, in order to be identified with Sophia or Divine Wisdom. Many Theosophists will see in this a clue not only to the two principles―or tinctures―which ought to be united man, but also to a law which obtains in many of the phenomena of magic. But even if I were able, I should not speak on this more clearly.
For many inquirers the greatest interest in these works will be found in his hypothesis as to the birth of the material Universe. On the evolution of man from spirit into matter he has much more than I could hope to glance at. In nearly all of it he was outlining and illustrating the Secret Doctrine. The books indicated are well worthy of study not only by Western but also by Eastern metaphysicians.
Let us add a few sentences to support this hypothesis from Count Saint Martin, who was a devoted student of these works.
"Jacob Boehme took for granted the existence of an Universal Principle; he was persuaded that everything is connected in the immense chain of truths, and that the Eternal Nature reposed on seven principles or bases, which he sometimes calls powers, forms, spiritual wheels, sources, and fountains, and that those seven bases exist also in this disordered material nature, under constraint. His nomenclature, adopted for these fundamental relations, ran thus: The first astringency, the second gall or bitterness, the third anguish, the fourth fire, the fifth light, the sixth sound, and the seventh he called BEING or the thing itself."
The reader may have begun to think the author did not rightly comprehend the first six but his definition of the seventh shows he was right throughout, and we may conclude the real meanings are concealed under these names.
"The third principle, anguish, attenuates the astringent one, turns it into water, and allows a passage to fire, which was shut up in the astringent principle."
There are in this many suggestions and a pursuit of them will repay the student.
"Now the Divine Sophia caused a new order to take birth in the centre of our system, and there burned our sun; from that do come forth all kinds of qualities, forms and powers. This centre is the Separator." It is well known that from the sun was taken by the ancients all kinds of power; and if we mistake not, the Hindus claim that when the Fathers enter into Para-Nirvana, their accumulated goodness pours itself out on the world through the "Door of the Sun."
The Bhagavad-Gita says, that the Lord of all dwells in the region of the heart, and again that this Lord is also the Sun of the world.
"The earth is a condensation of the seven primordial principles, and by the withdrawal of eternal light this became a dark valley." It is taught in the East, that this world is a valley and that we are in it, our bodies reaching to the moon, being condensed to hardness at the point where we are on the earth thus becoming visible to the eye of man. There is a mystery in this statement, but not such an one as cannot be unravelled.
Boehme proceeds: "When the light mastered the fire at the place of the sun, the terrible shock of the battle engendered an igneous eruption by which there shot forth from the sun a stormy and frightful flash of fire―Mars. Taken captive by light it assumed a place, and there it struggles furiously, a pricking goad, whose office is to agitate all nature, producing reaction. It is the gall of nature. The gracious, amiable Light, having enchained unerupted Mars, proceeded by its own power to the bottom or end of the rigidity of Nature, when unable to proceed further it stopped, and became corporeal; remaining there it warms that place, and although a valet in Nature, it is the source of sweetness and the moderator of Mars.
"Saturn does not originate from the sun, but was produced from the severe astringent anguish of the whole body of this Universe. Above Jupiter the sun could not mitigate the horror, and out of that arose Saturn, who is the opposite of meekness, and who produces whatever of rigidity there is in creatures, including bones, and what in moral nature corresponds thereto." (This is all the highest astrology, from one who had no knowledge of it.) "As in the Sun is the heart of life, so by Saturn commenceth all corporeal nature. Thus in these two resides the power of the whole universal body, and without their power there could be no creation nor any corporification.
"Venus originates in effluvia from the Sun. She lights the unctuosity of the water of the Universe, penetrates hardness, and enkindles love."
"Mercury is the chief worker in the planetary wheel; he is sound, and wakes up the germs in everything. His origin, the triumph of Light over Astringency (in which sound was shut up silent), set free the sound by the attenuation of the astringent power."
It is certain that if this peculiar statement regarding Mercury is understood, the student will have gained a high point of knowledge. A seductive bait is here held out to those striving disciples who so earnestly desire to hold converse with the elemental world. But there is no danger, for all the avenues are very secret and only the pure can prevail in the preliminary steps.
Boehme says again: "The Mercury is impregnated and fed continually by the solar substance; that in it is found the knowledge of what was in the order above, before Light had penetrated to the solar centre."
As to the Moon, it is curious to note that he says, "she was produced from the sun itself, at the time of his becoming material, and that the moon is his spouse." Students of the story of Adam being made to sleep after his creation and before coats of skin were given, when Eve was produced from his side, will find in this a strong hint.
The above is not by any means a complete statement of Boehme's system. In order to do justice to it, a full analysis of all his works should be undertaken. However, it is sufficient if thoughtful minds who have not read Boehme, shall turn to him after reading this, or if but one earnest reader of his works, or seeker after wisdom, shall receive even a hint that may lead to a clearing up of doubts, or to the acquisition of one new idea. Count Saint Martin continually read him; and the merest glance at the "Theosophic Correspondence" or, "Man―His Nature, &.," of Saint Martin will show that from that study he learned much. How much more then will the Western mind be aided by the light shed on both by the lamp of Theosophical teachings.
"Let the desire of the pious be fulfilled."

2024.05.18 12:35 Aware-Mycologist-389 Addiction (and other issues)

Hello, Male USA 33 years old 5'10 155lbs
Modafinil 200mg QD (fatigue from OSA along with just my bad lifestyle I'm sure) Gabapentin 1800mg staggered over 2.5 hours in the morning, 1200mg staggered doses in the evening Kratom 5.5 grams QID
I know addicts have a lot of stereotypes and biases against them, but please if you are able to help just try to keep those out of your mind.
I need help and I don't know what to do. I have a good job and a partner but I'm addicted to kratom and gabapentin and I've been having awful symptoms. I'm able to always have a consistent supply of these and don't take more than my prescribed amount of gabapentin per day (3000mg) but I've always taken it in two large doses once in the morning and once at night. I've taken kratom for 6 years and gabapentin for 2 I feel like I'm kinda in a low level withdrawal all the time, which gets worse the longer between doses. Usually the worst of it goes away after I take everything, but last night I started feeling uncomfortable, cold, very anxious and an uncomfortable restlessness in my body. It feels like withdrawal to me just not as intense as true acute withdrawal. This started just 2 hours after my evening gabapentin dose and continued after my kratom dose. I woke up about an hour ago (3am) still feeling the same way. I also have a few other issues I'm dependant on afrin to breathe through my nose (10 years) and I have chronic lower GI bleeding that hospitalized me a couple of years ago. I also have obstructive sleep apnea that is exacerbated from the rebound congestion, and the afrin is not working properly a lot of the time anymore also. I also have supposedly ARFID suspected by a therapist and I have never eaten very good nutrition/frequency or drank enough water. I received an iron infusion maybe 2 months ago because my iron and ferritin were very low still.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on or what I should do? I made an appointment with an addiction specialist (I made sure it was an MD) but it's a month away and I can't live my life if I continue to feel this way and the drugs don't at least keep things manageable until I'm in able to withdraw off of them.

2024.05.18 09:17 JamilAhammed0002 Was it my mistake?

psychiatrist prescribed cymbalta to my mother. First 4 days 20mg then 40mg at night With lithium carbonate 400 XR and Seroquel xr 50mg in the morning.
She is on Day 16. She was fine just restlessness and leg/muscle cramping after waking up in the morning which was solving after 1-2 hours and she was fine throughout the whole day no restlessness. Also insomnia polyuria at night. After taking Seroquel xr 50mg in the morning she would be super sleepy and was sleeping 4-5 hours in daytime. Which was causing issue with her job.
That's why on day 13 I shifted Seroquel to night which was great her insomnia was reduced a bit and next day she was energetic and chilled. But after next night insomnia was back and after she woke up with horrible restlessness+nausea+teeth clenching. Now on day 16 she still not recovered, insane restlessness+nausea+forced vomiting whole night+suicidal behaviors.2-3mg of Clonazepam failing to make her sleep/clam. She been awake all night and sleeping 7-8 hours in daytime.
So, was it my mistake shifting Seroquel? Can just 2 dose make things soo bad. Or it's just the side effects of 40mg cymbalta showing up?
Our next appointment with psychiatrist is in 4 days. She 45 have diabetic and high blood pressure. I guess her blood pressure medicine ( olmesartan20+hydrochloride12.5) and Seroquel combination making her sleepy in daytime. Also out of no where her blood sugar went carzy 20m/mol also blood pressure high always around 160/96.
Please give any tips or suggestions. Side effects will improve slowly? How can fix sleep cycle. She suffering a lot specially because of nausea and extreme restlessness and stomach cramping/unpleasant+ no appetite. Taking Omdansetron from 2 days at night not much improvement. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

2024.05.18 09:14 Tall-Network-8297 Date 2 months then go no contact for a week. Am I the ex, polyamory edition

TL;DR: the person I'm (30s f) dating (40s f) is withdrawing due to grief. I'm resisting pursuit so that I can respect her wishes, but I'm feeling rejected and abandoned. Is my relationship over?

The person I've been dating for about 2 months is going through serious grief. At first she said to expect a few days of radio silence and I'd sent a message saying no response needed but that I was thinking of her and included some validation of grief. She talked to me quite a bit and I kept being supportive and showing up how she seemed to appreciate (all via text).
2 nights ago, she said that her therapist told her to focus on herself and not on building a relationship with me. She provided a ton of reassurance that it's not about us or anything I've done but it's all related to the grief but that she would be taking space and not engaging with me.
I said I understood and asked when I should check in again and she suggested around memorial day.
But y'all. The more time that passes, the more I DON'T get it. To me, polyamory is about having MORE people to help you through the bad times and share the good times when they come. How is shrinking your support network helpful? (That's rhetorical)
More importantly, is my relationship over? (Genuine concern). I feel like this decision is pretty damaging to trust and our bond. I was on a business trip when she told me this. The insecure mind weasels say this means she doesn't care if I land safely at home, nor how a big event will unfold Saturday, nor that memorial day is the anniversary of serious trauma for me.
I have other people I can lean on, but I really like her and this is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Part of me wants to reach out and say her therapist is a nincompoop but the part of me that wants to respect her autonomy despite my own desires says to just leave her alone altogether.
Romcoms always have that airport chase or big stand of support, but life isn't the movies. Do I reach out, walk away, or do you really think that we can move forward after being iced out during huge life events?
If you think it can work, how do you go about rebuilding trust?

2024.05.18 08:40 walakomaisip_25 How do I start?

Hi. Im a 30M na may partner na 34M. He's my first. Naka isang gf lang ako tapos siya na. Kung san pa ko humugot ng lakas ng loob makaamin lang na gusto ko siya, and I did it over the phone.
Now, we're reaching our 2nd year.
Early stages ng relationship was like heaven. Best days of my life. Pero of course, there are shaky moments, actually madalas.
It all started when I tried to browse his phone. He came from a relationship (same sex) Where he allowed na maging number 2. Nung kinukwento nya to habang nanliligaw pa lang ako eh, I can totally feel the pain and how devastated he was. Kaya medyo nahirapan siya pagtiwalaan ako nung una. I saw some videos, during the time na nag eexplore siya (G app) Kasi prior to the number 2 situation, nagka rel pa siya na didnt end well too. I asked him why the videos are still there. ( I saw them on his very old phone na ginagamit lang nya for bank transfers) He said, years na bago ung last na check nya dun sa phone na yun and didnt know it was still there. So to put an end on this argument, I took the liberty of deleting every single thing, for my peace of mind as well.
Then there came a time na I had a problem financially during the rel. Nag offer kasi si bank ng loan, I took it. We spent it mostly, going out of town, cebu, tagaytay, galera etc, and magbili bili ng gamit sa apartment na nirerent nya. So basically, we were building our life together.
So, nung nagsimula na ung time na palagi akong CWD, tinanong nya ano nangyayare kung may loan ba ko, baket lagi ako gipit, kasi di na ko nakakapag bigay ng share ko sa expenses. I lied.
Then, there were 2 instances din na minsan nakakuha ako pera sakanya ng di nya nalalaman. Sobrang mali.
When it comes to intimacy, we've never done penetration, ever. So I know that u guys knew what we were doing. Last time we did it was last year. After non wala na, recently nag ask ako kasi nga 1yr na nakalipas, sabe nya, puro kasi problema kaya pano gaganahan. I accepted kasi totoo naman.
Magkawork kami sa office at magkateam, after a year, napromote ako into level II. Actually sabay kami nag apply pero ako lang nakuha. Lungkot din sya non, kasi sabay kami inapproach to apply pero ako lang nakuha. He felt left behind, na parang wala siyang growth don. So he resigned.
Last year December, I lost my mom. Wala na siya sa office non, ako andon pa. Sobrang sakit mawalan ng magulang. I expressed my intention to him na reresign na din ako don kasi I lost my focus, I lost myself, gusto ko lang magkulong at magluksa.
He kept telling me na while andon pa ko and if Im planning to resign, mag apply apply na ko sa iba para di ako mabakante ng matagal. I didnt listen. Umalis ako at nagpahinga with my final pay as my only source, dun pa din sa apartment. Then, malapit na maubos funds ko saka lang ako nag apply apply, nahirapan ako, up to now naghihintay pa din ako ng final interview.
Siya naman, nakapag start na ulet mag work. Bumalik sa dati ang sitwasyon. Pinapasan nya ulit lahat, waiting for me na makabangon. Kaya lang di na nya nahintay.
He told me na napagod na siya maghintay makabangon ako, pinilit naman nya. Kasi ung pinangsimula nya, sa family nya siya umasa eh. So yun ang binubuno nya hulugan ngayon. Sabe nya saken, somehow nagsisi siya at nalungkot makita na nalugmok ako. Hindi ako nakakapag pagupit, sobrang pumayat ako, bumagsak katawan ko, bigat na bigat ako sa sarili ko.
Then sa office nila, may umaaligid saknya na guy. Nagpaparamdam. Before he started working, he gave me a headsup na hindi nya ipapaalam na Bi siya na may partner siya. I said ok, kasi discreet din kami nung una then eventually nalaman din kasi dahil saken din, I was just proud na kami, we're together.
This guy kept on sending him flirty messages, nag effort pa yun kumuha mga stolen pictures nya then isesend sa msnger with a caption "pogiii" I asked him sino yun, sabe kawork, at biro biro lang yon, palabiro talaga at may ibang nililigawan sa office. Di naman nya mapagbawalan magsend kasi di nga alam na may partner, tinatawanan lang nya pag nirereplayan nya. Pero I know na may something don sa guy. Na naaamoy nya partner ko.
Then saturday came, naginuman sila buong team. Mga 2pm na siya nakauwi, out nya 5am. Lasing na lasing, di alam pano nakauwi. So, forda alaga ako. While he was sleeping, sunday morning, I had an urge to check his phone, nilagay ko daliri nya kasi tinanggal na nya fingerprint ko at iniba ung pin dahil sa instance ng pangungupit.
The guy messaged him, called him "daddy mwa" at "wag mo ipagkalat sa office kung gano ko kasarap humalik kasi di naman ako magpapagaw"
P*******NA
Kahit tulog pa siya, talagang sumigaw ako. Sabe ako ano ibig sabihin neto at pano nya nagawa saken to. Nung sinagot nya ko siya ba nag sabe na "wag mo akong lolokohin" And then this??!!!
He said, hindi nya alam, wala siya matandaan, lasing siya. Typical reasoning.
Now, we're taking a break. Physically, intimately, emotionally. Dun nya nabrought ung struggle namin financially na naging deciding factor para sakanya.
Monday, the day I packed my stuff (Di ko nakuha lahat kasi andami) We had a mature conversation before I left, na aayusin muna ang mga buhay buhay, lalo na ko since wala ko work at pera, ang hirap kumilos. Then kapag ok na lahat, maybe we can try again. Focus muna ako sa sarili at pamilya ko, kasi pati rent namin sa bahay where are father lives ay behind na, malapit na kami maapaalis.
So, yun ang usapan.
The next day, siguro tinadhana na din na mahanap ko ung acct ni guy. Matagal ko na kasi talagang hinanap. Di ko napigilan at minessage ko, di ko inaway or minura. I kept it professional.
Told the guy na nababasa ko lahat ng chat nya lalo na ung inuman scene, told him na may partner is not available, not single kaya please pakitigil.
Right now, nag uusap pa din kami. Minsan sobrang nakukulitan din ako sa sarili ko kasi nag usap na kami na time and space nga pero madalas ko pa din siya chinecheck. Maybe I'm still at the withdrawal stage. Nag apologize ako, and said unti unti kong ititigil. Na ano pang sense nung napag usapan kung araw araw pa din ako chat ng chat.
I asked an update don sa guy, sabe di na sila naguusap at nagpapansinan kasi galit nga. Na awkward na nga sa work.
Kagabi galing ako don, nag ask ako permission to stay the night kasi late na natapos interviews at wala na ko masasakyan pauwi. He agreed.
What are your thoughts on this po? Sobrang bait din niya kasi sabe nya pagsahod nya, bibigyan nya ko pang simula. Di na muna nya huhulugan family nya.
Im still trying to continue my life na di siya nakakausap, kasama at nakikita. Focus muna ako ibangon ang sarili ko, yun din sabe nya, na nawala na ung taong nakilala nya at minahal nya. I guess, heto muna ang mundo ko.
Help please.

2024.05.18 07:45 cath_wou Challenging interesting time sensitive case! Help please :)

Cate, Yellowknife, Canada 33yo Female 5’6'', 118-120 pounds Meds (went from none to): Propranolol 20 to 40mg/day Ketotifen (1-4mg/day) Rupall (20-40mg/day) Very new since yesterday: Amitriptyline 10mg As needed now (hate them but was told to take to avoid CNS and ANS and PNS attacks): Valium 5-10mg as needed (I don’t take it everyday at all and just started taking it AFTER my venous gases were taken so they didn’t do what you will read about)
Supplements: Curcumin LongVida Quercetin Resveratrol Benfothiamine L-Carnitine Ubiquinol NAC NADH
Hi!
My name is Cate. I am 33yo and I am from Canada. Just to give a little bit of a background, I was always an extremely active person. I have a dog I used to walk and hike with hours a day. I would happily trade a party with friends just to go walk with my dog. I always was a highly sensitive person nervous system wise. When I was young, I would tell my mom to 'turn off the sun' (lol). I lived well with it though. I became a social worker. Worked crazy hours. I’ve had insomnia for years since a first nervous injury after getting EBV. I recovered though. I moved to a very small town 7 years ago and I live with my dog. I love Life and the outdoor. The only health issue I had was a sensitive nervous system and some rosacea. I also know now that I was prone to dysautonomia but I was extremely active so having low BP and athletic HR (50bpm) wasn’t unusual. I would sometimes get dizzy when standing but not always and never had tachycardia or palpitations from it. I also had slightly stretchy skin so was prone to EDS. I know now, you’ll soon understand why. Back in 2018, I took Accutane and burnt in the sun. I developed mild SFN but it went away with time and my life was normal. More than normal. It was great! :)
In December 2023 I was prescribed Doxy for my Rosacea. I took it once and had to stop as I felt warm patches of skin on my body. It reminded me of the SFN. So I didn’t take a chance. However, I noticed in the weeks after that I had developed a weird anxiety and some insomnia (nervous system injury #1). A few weeks later, I was told to try Metronidazole. I used it for about 2 weeks. All hell broke loose. It started with pins and needles in hands and feet. Never had that before so I didn’t think much of it. Then I became very dizzy. And my mood changed. I was crying for no reason, historically. And I started having burning skin on my limbs. I stopped the meds. But it was too late. I had developed palpitations, lower voice, weak legs, etc. I had a neurotoxicity. (Nervous system injury #2) My doctor didn’t want to believe it was that but was thinking GBS. I was however hyoerreflexive so it wasn’t GBS. But he prescribed some Ativan. I took it but quickly it wasn’t doing what it was supposed to do. After even just a few days I could feel more anxiety. It was awful. So I stopped taking them after about 10 days. Things went from bad to worse: terrible panic attacks, flashes of light and stroboscopic type of images when closing my eyes, insomnia but to the point of not sleeping for a month, pelvic floor pain, myoclonus jerks, full body internal vibration, sensitivity to sound, it was scary. (Nervous system injury #3). I forgot to say but my periods also never came.
I was sent for an MRI and obviously my MRI was ok. But things were NOT normal. My palpitations were so bad, my heart would skip beats, I was so dehydrated cause I became hyperadrenergic. I also started to have anhedonia and my GI motility stopped. I could not feel hunger anymore. It was weird. But I wasn’t short of breath. Just had palpitations. Doctors told me I have FND, but it was not FND. FND doesn’t stop your periods, doesn’t mess with your hormones, doesn’t give you continuous insomnia for a month. And I never had a limb not functioning or had a seizure. Therefore. I left to find more and better answers. I knew it as the nervous system but I am not a doctor so had to rely on them for help.
I went back to my home town. I was a mess but physically I was fine. I was eating, digesting, but I had become more short fuse, still having the myoclonus, and all the other weird symptoms with some derealization and sound sensitivity. But I could still laugh etc. I went to see a doctor and he thought maybe it was a bad withdrawal so I was put on a high dose of Valium. Obviously all of my symptoms vanished but others showed up: I started having hand tremors and benzos would act very paradoxically on me. It was increasing my BP and HR, made me cry all the time and become aggressive. I had to come off then. I stayed on them for 6 weeks from 40mg (that’s crazy, I was taking 1mg of Ativan..) to 25mg and was then switched to Gabapentin. The hospital who did that however decided after a few days that I didn’t need the Gabapentin anymore and removed it. I thought I was gonna die. I started having tremors on my face and even to my tongue. I started being very agitated (obviously, I was going through a terrible withdrawal!) and was told they would inject me with antipsychotic. I honestly have never been this traumatized in my life. I restarted the Gabapentin and took it for a month. Hated it too cause ai was super paradoxical to it as well. Most people feel calm on Gabapentin. I felt so agitated and developed weird body movements like my head would twist involuntarily and my fingers were moving from left to right, especially on my left hand.
I stopped the Gabapentin after tapering. In a few days, I was back to normal. I was so happy. Could walk my dog daily, drive, go to the grocery store, I had found myself again. Until I went on a hike. It wasn’t a long hike but it was more demanding than the walks I was doing on flat ground daily. I would walk for several hours but never to the point of being anaerobic. On that hike I did though.
After the hike, I started feeling jittery. My nervous system didn’t like that at all. I went to bed, put on a meditation and fell asleep. That night is still traumatic lol. I felt electric zaps all in my body and spine. I sweat so much. I woke up drenched and with pain everywhere but mostly, every joint in my body cracked. Every single one. I had never been in pain like that in my life. But also, the palpitations were back but much much worse. And also high BP, which I never had even during the beginning after the neurotoxicity started. I wasn’t able to function anymore. I saw my GP and he didn’t like what he saw. I was completely dehydrated, muscles and joints were all painful, crazy palpitations, high blood pressure that I never had before, could hardly walk. He sent me to the hospital. He also confirmed this isn’t FND for the same reasons I mentioned before, and he knows me very well. All my muscles literally melted almost overnight. Like literally melted. And my skin had become stretchy as if all my connective tissues broke down (EDS flared up but like literally overnight).
Once at the hospital, they finally took things more seriously. I was started on on IV fluid for low potassium (very weird cause I make my electrolytes every day and never had an issue with that. You’ll see, it’s relevant). I also had elevated proteins in my body. Very weird too cause I wasn’t eating more proteins than I used to. I also had low WBC. My hormones were obviously all over the place. I was actually due to start my period and it never came. I stopped pooing again and stopped digesting my food. I know that’s dysautonomia. I had started to feel slightly better after a few days and walked a bit in the hallway. That night.. other ‘attack’. I don’t know how to call them. A few days after that, I still had pain in my muscles and was scared I was denervated (Metronidazole does that), so I though I would speed up the process by giving myself a full body deep tissue massage….. worse mistake of my life. Worse attack that night and the next day I had burning pain all over. Worse palpitations. All over. I also am now in a wheelchair because if I walk even a few minutes, I get an attack that night and wake up with even more weird stuff.
Fast forward to now. I am in Vancouver, Canada. As there isn’t many specialists in my small town (there isn’t any lol). I am worse than ever. My bloodwork look horrendous. My venous gases show I am in acidosis. I cannot breathe if I sit up or stand so I am laying down. My fasting glucose is at 6. I wore a CGM for months and I had perfect blood sugar and was never insulin resistant. I have low MPVs. Low potassium always despite eating bananas and drinking electrolytes all the time. My skin is completely dehydrated and flaking. I get palpitations even laying down.
I had a nerve conduction test and so far so good, I still have nerves. This is not just dysautonomia. Even at my worse, I didn’t have palpitations laying down in bed. And never to that extend. I have developed every problems of the Pentad like it is called: EDS, Dysautonomia, MCAS, Autoimmunity and I don’t remember the last one but I have it too.
I know this is an over reactive/over sensitive nervous system. That’s quite obvious. I have been running on NS injuries after NS injuries for almost 5 months. Also, my breath smells like ketones now I was told. I eat normally.
However, there is more. I forgot to say, on top of that, I have a pituitary tumour (but we know it’s not that causing the issues as when I was on benzos, my periods came back!), I have a thyroid nodula but it’s non-secreting (have had it over 10 years now) and I have a history of hypothyroidism for which I took meds for two months and then I never had an issue with it again. They tested it at the hospital and it’s ok. There is some auto-immunity in my family. My sister had a bout of RA after she gave birth, my mom has EDS for sure and also had Endometriosis, she also has orthostatic intolerance which is the very beginning stage of dysautonomia, she has rosacea prone skin too. Etc.
I know this cascade triggered viral infections and auto-immunity, but what do I do? These things are understood by only a small minority of doctors and I don’t know where to start. I think I will never get better if we don’t figure out the cause of my problems with the insulin and mostly why I have respiratory acidosis!
I don’t have ANA activated so far in my bloodwork for the main stuff but clearly I know what’s up..! I know EDS is considered a genetic condition but I strongly think as many doctors that they are auto-immune related. Never had any problems with that until my nervous system broke down which also activated inflammation and my immune system to start having real troubles.
Let me know where to start please, I am scared of dying in the hotel room. I am tired of being in bed but I know I am making things worse when I walk. I am developing ME/CFS, I know it, but it still won’t say why I am hypoventilating 24/7 with low potassium and low MPV and low WBC with high proteins. I am freaking out that my life and health are literally going to hell because of an antibiotic..! For a perioral dermatitis 😂..! I am remaining calm but.. not gonna lie.. it’s no fun.
Thanks for your help!!!
Cate xx
