Rear body lock takedown in the cage
Hi everyone I get stuck on the cage when I’m the offensive person that’s going behind my opponents back on the cage . I’m in a standing rear body lock position . My opponent usually bases out and keeps their head on the cage . From there I struggle to progress to a takedown .
Any tips?
Jumping with hooks in can be too risky for my liking .
I am allso struggling with pinning them When I’m on top with just one hook cause the cage is stopping from getting other hook
Ups f you know any techniques that would be great and if you could link a video of the technique would be even better thanks .

2024.05.19 07:55 drakeredflame ROH MONTH 5 WEEK 1

ROH Month 5 Week 1
GM Nigel McGuiness welcomes us to tonight's show. He thanks everyone for making Revolution the most successful PPV in the new Ring of Honor's history!! He says that the guys and girls of this company have done things that he never thought possible.
…..
FTR vs ??
The debuting tag team known as FTR get the opening match tonight and quickly take down two local talents. A Shatter Machine finisher inside of five mimutes makes a very decisive win for them.
Cash and Dax show respect to their opponents by checking on them and helping them to their feet afterwards.
…..
Dax grabs a mic and thanks ROH for giving them a chance to remind everyone what they are capable of. Cash said its once again time to show that they are the best in the world!!
…..
Nic Nemeth with Robert Stone. vs Chad Gable
Two former amateur champions here, and they let it all hang out. The fans eat it up, taking turns chanting for both men. Chad's youth does seem to give him the edge.
The match begins to turn in his favor and that's when Nemeth starts cutting corners. Bending the rules gets him back in the match. A distraction by Robert Stone gives Nemeth a chance to try to steal another one, but never gets the chance.
Rey Fenix slides into the ring and nails him with a Fenix Driver!! Chad Gable smiles as Fenix rolls back out. He quickly goes for the cover and picks up a big win!!
…..
Renée Paquette stops Fenix backstage and asks what he is doing here. Fenix tells her that sftrr his brother left here, he realized that he had left unfinished business. So, he came to ROH to finish business with Nic Nemeth and anyone else that wants to get in his way!!
…..
Austin Theory is lounging in a Sky box, surrounded by beautiful women. One of them is actually feeding him grapes by hand. He glances to his phone when it rings. He shoos the women out, and answers it.
After a few moments of silence on his end, where he is clearly thinking about what he is being told, he agrees to meet someone after the show.
…..
Gunther walks to the ring unannounced, and asks for a microphone. He looks around at the crowd and smiles darkly.
“I have been around the world, and have seen many things. I have won and lost many many Championships. I founded both Ringkampf and Imperium. I have seen that now my two creations are at odds, and that will be dealt with in short order.
But I have seen what disrespect of the Sacred Mat has also accomplished here recently. Damian Priest, you have no Honor.. and this is the home of Honor!! Let me put this simply - I am calling for you to put the International Title on the line against me!!
…..
ROH International Title Match Champ: Damian Priest vs Claudio Castagnoli
A brief shake of hands as this highly anticipated showdown starts. Claudio's techniques and raw power matches up nicely with Damian's strength and martial arts prowess.
Neither man wants to give an inch and the battle is on!! As commentary mentions that this match up could Main Event a PPV anywhere in the world, things begin to break down. Gunther storms to the ring and attacks both men!!
The referee throws out the match, but the three men don't even notice. They are way too busy throwing fists with each other.. it is a pier 6 brawl as they used to say!! Security plays hell trying to separate them.
…..
Video from after the Revolution PPV is shown. It shows Malakai Black and friends celebrating his World Title victory! A congratulatory phone call from his wife, who's working in another company, makes him even happier!!
Tony Schiavone says we will be hearing from Malakai at the beginning of the next episode of Ring of Honor.
…..
As the credits roll, we see Austin Theory getting into a long white limousine. Soon as he closes the door, it drives away.

2024.05.19 07:43 Optimal-Demand-2215 Help me proof

Help me proof
Recently I stopped baking for around a month or so, and then I revived my starter. Ever since, I’ve been having issues with my loaves. They seem to turn out over proofed or under proofed. I realise that the weather has changed as it’s a lot colder. The weather ranges from 11-15 degrees in the morning then 17-18 degrees in the afternoon and finally 16-13 degrees in the evening/ night. (This is based off Google weather)
Does anyone have a guideline for how long I should be proofing based on the weather? Any help is appreciated. I have posted a photo of the recipe I follow
Thank you so much!!

Is Sean Kirkpatrick part of The Program? And that's why he took the role at AARO to say it doesn't exist?
I've been running this idea in my head over and over the past week or so after deciding to look at Sean Kirkpatrick's bio as Director of AARO based on his CV history and the now-infamous photo of him in the 2018 meeting that was leaked by Brandon Fugal of Skinwalker Ranch that Kirkpatrick claimed in his interview with Stephen Greenestreet he didn't attend.
You can find a copy of that bio here.
I couldn't put anything together until I saw the below tweet from Klaus on X/Twitter via his Patterns Tell Stories Podcast handle from almost two weeks ago taken from an official OSTI.gov document. OSTI is the U.S. Department of EnergyvOffice of Scientific and Technical Information.
Here is the abstract, which states:
The International Biological and Chemical Threat Reduction Program at Sandia National Laboratories is developing a 15 - year technology road map in support the United States Government efforts to reduce international chemical and biological dangers . In 2017, the program leadership chartered an analysis team to explore dangers in the future international chemical and biological landscape through engagements with national security experts within and beyond Sandia to gain a multidisciplinary perspective on the future . This report offers a high level landscape of future chemical and biological dangers based upon analysis of those engagements and provides support for further technology road map development.
The link for the abstract above will also take you to a 35-page report. Here are its Table of Contents.

Here are his job titles taken from his bio:
Dr. Kirkpatrick began his career in Defense and Intelligence related science and technology immediately out of graduate school. After receiving his Ph.D. in Physics in 1995, he subsequently took a postdoctoral position at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, investigating laser-induced molecular vibrations of high explosives under an AFOSR program.
(AFOSR is the Air Force Office of Scientific Research. This is their website.)
In 1996, he was offered a National Research Council Fellowship at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory in Washington D.C. investigating novel solid-state lasers for the Department of the Navy.
In 1997, he was recruited by the Air Force Research Laboratory to build an Ultrafast Laser Physics Lab to investigate nonlinear optics, novel ultrafast spectroscopic methods, and nonlinear micro/nano-fabrication techniques for the Air Force.
In 2003 he was offered a program manager position in the National Reconnaissance Office, and converted to CIA in 2005.
In 2007, he was assigned as Chief Technology Officer in a joint CIA-DIA program office, where he later became division chief as a DIA officer. (I think this might be where Grusch's comments in the video below come into play.)
In 2010 he was asked to serve as the space control portfolio manager for the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Space and Intelligence, Office of the Secretary of Defense.
(Christopher Mellon worked for the Office of the Secretary of Defense from January 1997 to December 2002.)
In 2012 he returned to DIA, and served as the Defense Intelligence Officer for Scientific and Technical Intelligence, serving as the Department of Defense’s counterpart to the National Intelligence Manager for Science and Technology until 2016. Towards the end of his tenure as DIO/S&TI, Dr. Kirkpatrick served on special assignment to the Principal Deputy Director National Intelligence leading the Intelligence Community’s support to the Joint Interagency Combined Space Operations Center.
From 2016 to his current assignment, Dr. Kirkpatrick served in a variety of no-fail roles including Deputy Director of Intelligence, US Strategic Command;
Director, National Security Strategy, National Security Council;
Deputy Director of Intelligence and the DNI Representative for USSPACECOM. The USSPACECOM Intelligence Enterprise was the fifth organization he has been the IC lead for establishment.
His most recent assignment was as Chief Scientist at DIA’s Missile and Space Intelligence Center.
After retiring as the Director of AARO, Kirkpatrick immediately went to the Oak Ridge Laboratory, which, along with Wright-Patterson and Area 51, is directly at the heart of the UFO history and mystery.
Here is his bio listed at Oak Ridge's website.

2024.05.19 07:39 adrian_p_morgan Short story from 1981 [CW: suicide, in fiction, but still]

Just for discussion, I'm wondering if anyone has read "The Child Who Cries for the Moon", a short story by Connie Willis which appeared in a 1981 anthology by Fred Saberhagen.
If not, the entire text can be found here:
http://www.sfsfss.com/stories/Fred_Saberhagen_-_A_Spadeful_of_Spacetime.html#THE%20CHILD%20WHO%20CRIES%20FOR%20THE%20MOON
It's soft science fiction (quantum mechanics doesn't exist for starters) that deals very explicitely with topics like suicide and mental health. I first read it as a child (or early teen, not 100% sure) and I still can't read it without getting teary eyed.
It's impossible to summarise in a conventional way because it works on an emotional level, not an intellectual one, and if you try to reduce it to a sequence of events you lose its essence. For that reason I doubt it would be possible to adapt to the screen. Maybe, just maybe, a really clever filmwriter could do it by leaning heavily on techniques that convey a sense of subjectivity, but my imagination fails me.
Anyway, the story takes place in a mental hospital in the future, and the first-person protagonist is a patient with a record for repeated suicide attempts. Any therapist reading the story will want to scream at the hospital staff, who repeatedly behave in a manner unbecoming for that profession, but let's not dwell on them.
The plot revolves around three main science fiction devices. The first device is a fictional suicide drug, colloquially named silverwine, which in small doses is used to treat paranoia, but "too much of the truth can kill you, so they sell it on the streets to those of us who need it". That phrase, "too much of the truth can kill you" is a motif. The drug has other properties that are used in the story to convey a point. For example, it is painful, which is used to convey a point about self harm.
The second device is the idea that a technology enabling infinite magnification has been discovered, allowing people to literally see aliens walking around in the Andromeda galaxy, and that videos of such aliens are used for therapeutic purposes in mental hospitals. There is no worldbuilding to explain _why_ such recordings (called "Stories") are used in therapy, and the whole short story can be thought of as a thought experiment to show why it is a really bad idea.
The third device is that all the aliens are incredibly beautiful, and humans are all ugly by comparison. This parallels the protagonist's own perception of herself as ugly and unloveable, which is at the core of her struggles. But she allows herself to speculate that maybe, "somewhere in all that beautiful universe is a lady like that, distant and kind as the moon, who will look at me as you look at an oddly-shaped shell, and think, how pretty, how strange!"
For a moment, the so-called therapy gives her hope, but then she learns that the Andromeda galaxy is two million light years away and that all the aliens in the recordings are dead. This breaks her. "There is no such thing as a light year. They are heavy, heavy. They descend upon the heart with the weight of planets."
Oh my god, I am getting so teary-eyed right now just typing this, but you have to read it for yourself, it is way more powerful than I can convey here. I would love to hear people's insights into how the short story sheds light on the experiences of real people struggling with mental illness, either from the perspective of someone who been there themselves, or from a therapist.

2024.05.19 07:08 meticulouslyhopeless How to replicate Pilotredsun's animation? (+Everything I know so far...)

How to replicate Pilotredsun's animation? (+Everything I know so far...)
Trying to figure out how to replicate Pilotredsun's animation style. I have made some visual examples, as well as some guesses of how the process is done. I am open to anyone else's ideas of how to replicate the style! If you happen to know any other animators with a similar style to Pilotredsun that may be helpful as well. Anything related to understanding how to replicate his art/animation would be great.
If anyone happens to have in depth knowledge of this process, if you could provide video footage that would be especially helpful just to see it visually!
TLDR;
  1. PilotRedSun uses PhotoShop CS6 and TV Paint to animate
  2. Liquify Brush is used (Both regular mode and eraser mode)
  3. Possibility of datamosh, content aware scale, dithering, and shake effects/filters are applied (As stated by other reddit posts hypothesizing how PilotRedSun animates/filters)
Liquify brush on eraser mode causing glitched brush effect
Recognized this style of brushwork pretty quickly as I have used this technique before in past artwork... quite literally a liquify brush (photoshop style liquify brush) on eraser mode creates this effect. I use CSP for context.
Animation test using liquify brush
People have mentioned he may be using a smear tool / liquify brush to animate some of his frames. I tried to do a quick animation test of this, I don't feel like my attempt was super accurate. (If I put in some more effort and took away the blur inbetween frames i'm sure it'd look more accurate) I do think it kind of shows the weird effect though.
On the right I tried to give some random filters to see if it would help get closer to anything at all and I don't really feel it has..?
Previous animation test datamoshed several times using Photomosh Pro
Tried to do a test where the datamosh effect is more prominent. While it does give a sort of glitchy rough look, I am not sure how to apply this to the animation process. I am not sure where Pilotredsun implements this technique into his work. (Maybe he datamoshes every frame and THEN proceeds to liquify over it, or vice versa). The program I use doesn't exactly allow for transparent areas in the datamosh either and I am not sure if that is a part of the process where you are meant to export frames with transparent datamoshed areas.
Several different datamosh results by changing the amount, blockiness, flow parameters (Still using Photomosh Pro)
I believe there are ways to do datamoshing in After Effects and Photoshop so you are not required to get Photomosh but that is the program I tend to use alot for fast visual editing.
PilotRedSun's animations
From what I can guess, alot of the drawings probably use Liquify Tool (eraser mode in many instances). For filters possibly decimate, datamosh, dithering, and shake.
Example of flashing in animation
I also notice a pattern of flickering / flashing in alot of the animations. Not sure how this is replicated either, maybe it is done manually by bucket filling certain areas and it creates that flickering effect.
PilotRedSun's programs as stated on his Tumblr
Lastly here are the actual screenshots of him stating what programs he uses to animate, that being Photoshop CS6 and TvPaint.
This is as much as I know about PilotRedSun's techniques for animating, but if anyone else happens to have an idea of how else his process may go i'd love to hear it!
Not sure if it would be helpful but I thought I might as well include this, Pilotredsun's side channel "Bittertooth" features some speedpaints. While they are not in the same exact art style it may give some insight into the process. https://youtu.be/xJGF1af_EK8?list=PLDYlTAi9_yjsNif_fEXgEAl8-f1Oni1Xf

2024.05.19 07:03 Chacles Quadeca is secretly lil nas x

Both Quadeca and Lil Nas X emerged from the internet, gaining initial fame through online platforms. Quadeca, known for his YouTube presence and rap battles, and Lil Nas X, who first gained massive attention with his viral hit "Old Town Road," share a deep understanding of leveraging social media. Lil Nas X is renowned for his bold, often provocative visuals and themes, particularly with his music videos and public persona. Quadeca has been increasingly ambitious with his music videos and concepts, suggesting a potential crossover in creative vision. The stark differences in their visual presentations could be an intentional strategy to maintain distinct Both artists have access to advanced production techniques. It's conceivable that Quadeca, a talented producer and musician, could manipulate his voice and style to create the distinct sound associated with Lil Nas X. This would explain the ability of both artists to consistently release high-quality music that resonates with a wide audience. Public Appearances and Timing Careful planning of public appearances and releases could support this theory. Quadeca and Lil Nas X rarely appear in the same place at the same time. Coordinated schedules could allow Quadeca to maintain two separate public personas. Moreover, the use of different teams and collaborators for each project would help sustain the illusion.Collaboration and Secrecy In a hypothetical scenario, those close to both artists, such as managers and producers, might be in on the secret, ensuring that the dual identity remains concealed. The music industry’s collaborative nature means that many insiders could be part of maintaining this elaborate ruse. Finally, such a theory underscores the marketing genius behind it. Creating two distinct but highly successful personas allows for cross-promotion and tapping into different market segments, ultimately leading to a broader fanbase and increased influence in the music world. While purely speculative and lacking concrete evidence, this theory serves as an interesting exploration of the complexities and possibilities within the music industry, where image and identity can be as fluid and crafted as the music itself.

2024.05.19 06:38 Neil-Revin Is that a good way of thinking in a foreign language?

Okay, I started doing sometimes cool today, and I think it can bring me good benefits.
I'm reading books everyday, and today I started doing something different. Instead of just read, I pause sometimes and think about what I just read.
For example, I'll paste here a short part of the last page I've just read from one of Freida McFadden books:
"I am so lucky. I have a beautiful house, a fulfilling career, and a husband who is kind and mild mannered and incredibly handsome. And as Nate pulls the car onto the road and starts driving in the direction of the school, all I can think to myself is that I hope a truck blows through a stop sign, plows into the Honda, and kills us both instantly."
After reading that I paused and thought:
...Wait a minute, she was just talking about how she's lucky of having a good life, and now she said she wants to die, and worse, she wants her husband dead too... does she has psychological problems? Or maybe her life wasn't so good, and maybe she was being ironic....
I also applied this technique on videos, where I pause the video, made some comments of what I was seeing and sometimes gave my opinions about what I was watching.
Does someone here does this too? Is it good in the long term?

2024.05.19 05:54 FloatingCatus Tips/tricks on colour saturation?

Hello fellow ink stabbers,
I’m here to pick your brains. I’ve been tattooing roughly 2.5-3 years, am I still struggling with being able to saturate colour and transitioning into solid blends.
I’m getting a-bit disheartened with colour tattoos and have tried tweaking techniques, needles, machines, angles and still have colour heal patchy. Getting abit desperate now and have considered just giving up on colour tattoos altogether at times when imposter syndrome is hitting bad.
(I understand how to pack just one solid colour though and that usually is guaranteed to heal consistent and not patchy)
My mentor isn’t overly confident with colour and none of the other artists in my studio like doing colour either. I’ve basically had to self teach myself through videos online and trial and error to improve techniques. Sometimes I’d be pretty happy with how the colour looks fresh and then I’ll see it healed and just pick everything part of what isn’t clean and solid.
Any suggestions and advice would be immensely appreciated. I feel like a lot of artists either love or hate doing colour tattoos 🥲
I’m gonna try attach some images below of healed and fresh work if I can figure out how reddit works 😭😅

2024.05.19 04:05 Jaded-Presence-7261 Finding teachers/students who can help virtually

Hey, I'm a student of Buddhism (also currently in university) but practicing Buddhism from last 3 years. I've read a lot from various teachers and YouTube videos and now I'm looking for a teacher who can help me virtually or some students who are ahead of me and ready to offer help.
I'm not looking to get websites of other teachers (as I've got them from other threads) but I hope there should be teachers in this community then I'll be really happy to connect.
I've not seen many people asking but I believe that if you're a student who is having much better knowledge and experience in mindfulness, non-attachment, and are ahead of me in your journey to enlightenment, it'll be great if we can connect and I'll be really happy to receive some guidance. I see students don't like to teach but we can have more of junior /senior relationship and you can advise on the topics which you know the best.
I'll also be very happy to hear from you on what exactly can I expect to receive help from teacher or other students? (I read online that they'll correct my meditation technique and help me find my blind spots to become more peaceful, anything more? )
Thanks for reading this and wish you to be awake, healthy and peaceful.

2024.05.19 03:46 Basic13 Modular Building Suggestions for a Late-Comer?

Hey fellow Lego fans!
I recently bit the bullet after youtube pulled up a speed-build video of Assembly Square, and started collecting the modular buildings, starting with hunting down that set. I know a good chunk of them are retired, but I'm not looking to get all of them, just ones that are unique visually or present interesting building techniques.
To that end, I have Assembly Square, planning on being the center of the street, additionaly I just got the Diner; Parisan Cafe--since I heard that has interesting building techniques--the book shop for the cozy, house-like building.
I'm thinking for the end of the street to be the Botique Hotel and possibly getting the Movie Theatre for the other end.
Any suggestions on which of the buildings would be must-haves for those have been into this line longer than I?

2024.05.19 02:52 Forward_Brick [TOMT][Video Essay] Video about filmmaking technique where things are left the the viewer's imagination

This video talks about letting the viewer fill in the blanks using their imagination. It uses a scene from an old (1940's-1960's?) movie to perfectly illustrate the concept.
In this scene a man is hiding from a woman's husband. We watch from outside the bedroom as the husband (In pompous soldier regalia) walks in, closes the d0or, then a few moments later walks out with a suspicious and confused look.
This was several years back so I thought it might have been an Every Frame a Painting or nerdwriter video, but I couldn't find find anything after searching for a while.

2024.05.19 02:33 OnlyinSoFlo YouTube account hacked for the second time

I had my YouTube account hacked about a year ago. I noticed all the "big" content creators for kids such as "unspeakable" to "ishowspeed" videos and accounts being liked and subscribed to by my personal account without me noticing. Goes to show you how not actually big they really are. After days of trying to figure out the problem. I noticed my son's roblox account on his own phone was the way they were hacking my google account. Which should be impossible since the roblox account has no information on my Google account's password. This lead me to believe YouTube developers are doing this intentionally to let these content creators to boost their accounts using black hat techniques.
After a year or two, I am flabbergasted to run into the same issue that I know millions have faced yet it's still not fixed! My account yet again is filled with likes and subscriptions to terrible "kids" channels! There is still no good information on the Google search engine as if people haven't posted about it over and over again. It's funny how these hackers do not care about any payment info or other goodies, they just want my account to sub to channels and like videos! Literally, no way of a cessing my accounts other than YouTube allowing it!
What a scam. YouTube 100% has a hand in this shameful act and should be exposed for it.

2024.05.19 01:54 InAb5entia Anyone have a clue how this done? Its really got me stumped.

I have been scratching my head over this technique for years, its really bugging me. Its possibly an animation from a still photo (I have seen it used with paintings too). I am certain its not AI but some form of animation not from a video but from a still (single frame) photo or painting. My dumb brain hurts from trying to figure it out, lol.

In today's fast-paced world, where job security is no longer a certainty and traditional employment models are evolving, the quest for financial freedom has become more crucial than ever. One of the most effective ways to achieve this goal is by establishing multiple streams of passive income – sources of revenue that require minimal effort to maintain once set up. This article delves into various strategies for earning passive income online, providing actionable steps for each method.

Section 1: Understanding Passive Income

What is Passive Income?

Passive income refers to earnings generated from sources that do not require active involvement or labor once the initial effort has been put in. Unlike active income, which is earned through traditional employment or self-employment, passive income continues to flow in even when you're not actively working. This concept has gained immense popularity in recent years as more individuals seek ways to break free from the constraints of the 9-to-5 grind and achieve financial independence.

Benefits of Passive Income

The allure of passive income lies in its ability to provide a consistent revenue stream with minimal ongoing effort. Here are some of the key benefits of building passive income sources:
  1. Financial Freedom: Passive income can supplement or even replace traditional employment income, allowing you to achieve financial independence and pursue your passions without worrying about money.
  2. Diversification: By diversifying your income streams, you reduce your reliance on a single source of income, mitigating risks and providing a safety net in case one stream dries up.
  3. Scalability: Many passive income strategies can be scaled up, allowing you to increase your earnings without proportionally increasing your workload.
  4. Lifestyle Flexibility: With passive income, you can enjoy greater flexibility in your lifestyle, as you are not tied to a specific location or schedule.

Passive Income vs. Active Income

While both passive and active income contribute to your overall financial well-being, they differ in several ways:
  • Effort Required: Active income requires ongoing effort and labor, while passive income requires initial effort to set up but minimal ongoing work.
  • Time Commitment: Active income is directly tied to the time you invest in working, whereas passive income can generate revenue even when you're not actively working.
  • Scalability: Active income is limited by the number of hours you can work, while passive income can be scaled up more easily by leveraging systems and automation.
  • Risk Diversification: Passive income streams provide diversification, reducing the risk of relying solely on active income from a single source.
By combining active and passive income sources, you can create a well-rounded financial portfolio that provides stability, flexibility, and the potential for long-term wealth building.

Section 2: Popular Passive Income Strategies

There are numerous ways to generate passive income, ranging from traditional investment vehicles to modern online opportunities. Let's explore some of the most popular strategies:

Subsection 2.1: Real Estate Investments

Real estate has long been a favored passive income source for many investors. By owning rental properties, you can generate a steady stream of rental income with minimal effort once the property is acquired and tenants are in place.

Description

Real estate investments can take various forms, including:
  1. Rental Properties: Purchasing residential or commercial properties and renting them out to tenants.
  2. Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs): Investing in companies that own and operate income-producing real estate.
  3. Crowdfunding Real Estate Platforms: Pooling funds with other investors to purchase income-generating properties.

Steps to Get Started

Getting started with real estate investments involves the following steps:
  1. Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify profitable investment opportunities and evaluate potential risks.
  2. Financing: Secure financing through traditional mortgages, private lenders, or alternative financing options.
  3. Property Management: Hire a professional property management company or handle tenant screening, maintenance, and rent collection yourself.
  4. Ongoing Monitoring: Regularly review your investment performance and adjust your strategy as needed.
While real estate investments can be lucrative, they also require significant upfront capital and carry inherent risks, such as vacancies, property maintenance, and market fluctuations.

Subsection 2.2: Stock Market Investments

Investing in the stock market is another popular way to generate passive income. By carefully selecting dividend-paying stocks or investing in index funds, you can earn regular income from your investments.

Description

Stock market investments for passive income can take the following forms:
  1. Dividend Stocks: Owning shares in companies that distribute a portion of their profits to shareholders in the form of dividends.
  2. Index Funds: Investing in low-cost, diversified funds that track the performance of a specific market index, such as the S&P 500.
  3. Mutual Funds: Professionally managed investment funds that hold a diverse portfolio of stocks, bonds, and other securities.

Steps to Get Started

To start investing in the stock market for passive income, follow these steps:
  1. Open a Brokerage Account: Choose a reputable online brokerage platform that suits your investment needs and budget.
  2. Research and Select Investments: Conduct thorough research on potential investments, considering factors such as dividend yield, historical performance, and risk profile.
  3. Develop an Investment Strategy: Determine your investment goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon, and create a diversified portfolio accordingly.
  4. Regularly Monitor and Rebalance: Periodically review your investments and rebalance your portfolio as needed to maintain your desired asset allocation.
While stock market investments offer the potential for passive income and long-term growth, they also carry market risks, and returns are not guaranteed.

Subsection 2.3: Online Businesses

The rise of the internet has opened up a world of opportunities for generating passive income through online businesses. From e-commerce to affiliate marketing, these ventures can be lucrative and scalable once established.

Description

Popular online business models for passive income include:
  1. E-commerce: Building and operating an online store that sells physical or digital products.
  2. Dropshipping: A retail fulfillment model where products are shipped directly from the supplier to the customer, eliminating the need for inventory management.
  3. Affiliate Marketing: Earning commissions by promoting other companies' products or services through your website, social media, or other online platforms.

Steps to Get Started

Starting an online business for passive income involves the following steps:
  1. Choose a Business Model: Evaluate different online business models and select one that aligns with your interests, skills, and goals.
  2. Conduct Market Research: Identify a profitable niche, analyze the competition, and assess the demand for your products or services.
  3. Build an Online Presence: Create a professional website, set up e-commerce platforms, and establish a strong online brand.
  4. Implement Marketing Strategies: Utilize effective marketing techniques, such as search engine optimization (SEO), social media marketing, and email marketing, to drive traffic and sales.
  5. Automate Processes: Leverage tools and software to automate repetitive tasks, streamlining operations and freeing up time for scaling and growth.
While online businesses offer flexibility and scalability, they require upfront effort, consistent marketing, and adaptability to changing market trends and consumer preferences.

Section 3: Digital Products and Courses

In the digital age, creating and selling digital products and online courses have become lucrative passive income streams. By leveraging your expertise and knowledge, you can create valuable resources that generate ongoing revenue with minimal ongoing effort.

Subsection 3.1: Creating and Selling E-books

E-books have emerged as a popular and accessible way to share knowledge, expertise, or creative works while earning passive income. With the rise of self-publishing platforms and the growing popularity of e-readers, the e-book market has become a viable avenue for authors and subject matter experts.

Description

E-books can cover a wide range of topics, including:
  1. Non-Fiction: Self-help, business, personal development, and educational content.
  2. Fiction: Novels, short stories, and creative writing across various genres.
  3. Reference Materials: Guides, manuals, and instructional resources.

Steps to Get Started

To start earning passive income through e-book sales, follow these steps:
  1. Choose Your Topic: Identify a niche or subject area where you have expertise or a unique perspective to offer.
  2. Write and Edit: Craft a high-quality e-book by writing compelling content, ensuring proper formatting, and editing for clarity and accuracy.
  3. Design and Format: Create an attractive cover design and properly format your e-book for different platforms and devices.
  4. Self-Publish: Upload your e-book to popular self-publishing platforms like Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing, Barnes & Noble Press, or Apple Books. These platforms handle the distribution and sale of your e-book.
  5. Market and Promote: Implement effective marketing strategies, such as social media promotion, email marketing, and leveraging influencers or book bloggers to reach your target audience.
While e-book sales may start slow, with consistent effort and effective promotion, you can build a passive income stream that continues to generate revenue over time.

Subsection 3.2: Developing Online Courses

In today's knowledge-driven economy, sharing your expertise through online courses has become a lucrative passive income opportunity. With the rise of e-learning platforms and the increasing demand for remote education, creating and selling online courses can be a rewarding venture.

Description

Online courses can cover a wide range of topics, including:
  1. Professional Skills: Business, marketing, programming, design, and other career-related subjects.
  2. Personal Development: Health, fitness, productivity, and self-improvement topics.
  3. Creative Pursuits: Photography, art, music, writing, and other creative disciplines.

Steps to Get Started

To develop and sell online courses as a passive income stream, follow these steps:
  1. Identify Your Niche: Determine the subject area where you possess valuable knowledge or expertise that others are willing to pay for.
  2. Plan and Structure Your Course: Outline the course content, breaking it down into modules or lessons, and determine the format (videos, text, assignments, etc.).
  3. Create Course Materials: Develop high-quality course content, including video lectures, presentations, worksheets, and other supporting materials.

  5. Market and Promote: Utilize effective marketing strategies, such as social media promotion, email marketing, and leveraging influencers or industry experts to reach your target audience.
While creating an online course requires upfront effort, once it's launched, you can earn passive income as students enroll and purchase your course. Additionally, you can continually update and improve your course over time to maintain its relevance and value.

Section 4: Automated Systems for Passive Income

In the digital age, leveraging automated systems and software tools has become a powerful way to generate passive income. By harnessing the power of technology, you can streamline processes, automate tasks, and create income-generating systems that operate with minimal ongoing effort.
