Hello,
I have a phillipino girlfriend and I wanna help her get a short term visa., ultimately hopefully long term visa.
I studied this subject a lot last few weeks, so I know nowits almost impossibl-
I read how hard it is to get a short term visa that is based on invitation..
Like if I invite her to stay here for 2 months, and provide for her during these 2 months while she stays at my house, they wouldnt probably approve it unless we have a very long-term relationship.
So my question is: what if she applies for a study visa - a local university has some programs for foreigners and if I pay for one college year do you think chances she would be accepted are still very slim?
I would still say that she would stay at my house..
One more thing I might wanna try is tourist visa. Maybe if she would stay at a hotel instead of my house, it would look like a tourist thing and my chances would be higher?
My parents make a living by having a pension, but noone visits it during winter, so maybe I should make a reservation for her on the Booking website and put that to the visa application, that would look more cool, dont you think?

I fought VETASSESS – and won! Now what?
For better or worse, many of you here are probably familiar with Australia's so called "leading skills assessment provider for migration".
Without getting into too much of the minutiae (and for anyone who cares to read my account), I received a negative outcome on my skills assessment back in October.
This, after working in Australia in virtually the same profession for more than 6 years on 457/482 visas. Understandably, I felt it was time to make things more permanent, and maybe shouldn't have waited so long to do so (choosing to leave out certain life details).
This unfortunate news arrived shortly after losing my job due to major layoffs at work (and in the AEC sector). Months prior, my employer had even agreed to cover the costs of my ‘self-directed’ PR application via the Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190). I opted to go this route rather than choose the employer nominated option as I believed it would offer a quicker pathway and greater freedom (i.e., less beholden to my employer if circumstances changed).
For those who don’t know, a positive skills assessment is essential for submitting an expression of interest (EOI) and for getting invited by SkillSelect / nominated by the State or government to apply for PR through the skilled visa program.
Needless to say, I was upset with what I perceived to be a mishandling of my case. And a clear misunderstanding of the nature of my employment. Particularly as I'd already been sponsored multiple times under the exact same ANZSCO-corresponding occupation.
Contesting this negative outcome, my requests for a reassessment at no additional cost were rebuffed. These things cost about A$1,200. At which point I vowed to them that I would escalate my case to The Department – and that I did.
To my surprise, months later I received a detailed email from a human at the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations' Migrant Skills Assessment Branch. In it, they said they'd raised my concerns with VETASSESS directly (and instructed them to reassess my application at no extra cost, under a similar but alternative occupation).
Using virtually the same documentation, and now with a direct line of communication, my application was processed within a matter of days, instead of the previous 19 weeks. OUTCOME: POSITIVE
During my final days in Australia, I'd been left with few options aside from seeking a new employer willing to take on my expiring visa and re-sponsor or call it and move back to Canada. My partner and I had long debated whether to remain in Australia or move back to this side of the world to be closer to home and our families.
Had I been granted a positive outcome the first time, with time remaining on my 482 visa, there’s a good likelihood that we would have followed through with the PR process and simply chosen to stay in Australia. At least until getting our well-earned citizenship. Of course, there are no guarantees I would have been invited, but I did receive multiple emails from Live in Melbourne following up about my EOI in SkillSelect. Given that I was on their radar, I liked my chances.
It's unfortunate how my destiny was taken out of my hands. I'd prided myself on "punching my own ticket" making a life for myself in Australia. That dream essentially evaporated in a span of just a few weeks. Partly my own fault and perhaps illustrative of Australia’s “broken” immigration system.
All that said, this positive outcome has potentially reopened the door to returning to Australia, and on a much less tenuous visa arrangement. If I was to go down that path. At which point, I would have to ask myself whether it’s even worth it. Moving back to Australia would be on a permanent basis, but I'm only now settling back into the old/new life in Canada.
My regret leaving Australia is that I left without ever getting Australian citizenship, despite the time, energy, money, and contributions I'd made over nearly 8 years in Melbourne. Alas, I am an Australian in spirit only.
Do I give it another crack, submit an application and see what happens? Or just accept that it wasn't meant to be for whatever reason and focus on life here? As far as I know, a positive skills assessment is valid for three years, which gives a window from now until 2027.

so directly to the story, 7 months ago I got ghosted by my LD-Boyfriend. I was worried, since I knew he had to deal with a lot of things in his life and he is sometimes just like crawling into his „shell“. I tried reaching out to him but at the same time also left him space. I still had hope that he is coming back, because I did really love him. So last month I just couldn’t anymore and reached out to him, begged him to call me (First time I ever spamed someone),… And he did: he explained to me that he is stressed by his life and also stressed by this non physical relationship., and he feels guilty for causing me so much pain,…he is now in another relationship already (since 2 months),…
So to the background to this relationship: We studied at the same city, I met him 2 months before we both left the University (He is 10 years older than me). We used to have similar interest and we really got along very well. Even though I didnt wanted to start this, it somehow happend. He was the first guy I ever let close to me, gave him my first kiss. We were a bit like soulmates. Anyway one day I had to leave and we both cried, it was a bad day. I think after this I would have been okay to end it, since LDR are hard. But he was so intrested to keep this going. I tried to pursue him seeing other woman,... but he always said Im the only one he is interested to. We stayed in touch every day, played games till he started to work (which he didnt like). He had to deal with very depressing stuff too, so I always tried to keep in mind that his life took some very bad turnings. I offered him to visit him, since he couldnt visit me, but that thing didnt go out as planned... I was getting frustrated by this and we grew apart for a while. But we managed to see each other some months later, I visited him it was very nice to be with him again and at that point I even slept with him. So after I left we went on with chatting,… and one day he just didnt answer anymore, since he felt very shitty that time (it was something over 2 weeks I guess). As an apology he invited me to a vacation (It was his offer, I really didnt care, I just wanted to see him), we went there and it was incredible. At the Airport we both cried and I left. After this we tried to make it work by getting closer to eachother,… so yeah he tried to get a VISA but got declined, my University declined the ERASMUS Programm, so there was no way that we gonna be close in the nearest future. And that was the point where he ghosted me. (There were some ways as an example I wanted to do my master in his city, but this would have taken 1,5 years.…)
I know it sounds stupid but we were kind of soulmates,… I loved him more than anything else in this world I guess. But I hate him too, I hate that he didnt end it properly giving me the feeling that he is coming back, during he slept with another woman… I hate him for this so much instead of trying to stay friends or finding other ways to get closer to each other, he just moved on… and kept me hanging. And Im questioning how much does a person means to you if you do something like this? And how all of the sudden he wants a physical relationship he was the one who pursued this in a distance relationship, and it kept going for over a year, why not end it directly. How can you mean so little to a person, which used to love you? Its so hard to understand… I still remember the smallest things he said, and Im questioning if he lied the whole time…
(even though im very hurt, I tried to stay a bit in touch with him as friends,… but nothing he is not reacting again)

I was invited onto TikTok through my business email a couple of months ago through a London based TikTok worker. I gave it some thought as I had been receiving the generic invite emails to my gmail for months ahead of this but the offers through TikTok (Free funding for affiliate samples etc.) sounded great so I eventually signed up.
Had some huge success initially, obviously it's slowed down but I'm still receiving good sales even without affiliates. My "account manager" or whatever they are called explained that somebody else would be taking over for now via Lark and I should go through them for any issues. That's completely fine, I assumed the original person was just for onboarding.
My issue is, this new person is based in China, doesn't type in great english and either fobs me off with "Sorry I am in meeting" or "I will check" and then NEVER gets back in touch. Every-time I follow up they tell me just to open a ticket on TikTok. What is the actual point of this new person if their response every single time is to just open a ticket? The TikTok support is dreadful and comes across as AI. They don't listen to complicated questions, they copy and paste generic answers.
Obviously they have a job to do in recruiting sellers to the platform, but now I'm set up I feel just completely abandoned and ignored. Really unprofessional.

I receivedd my refusal letter recently stating 3 reasons that im nott really suree about? I had applied for Switzerland Embassy thru an agency, and submited all the necessary documents needed. My parents are the one to sponser me for my trip, and i got their bank statements, tax payment statements, im a student myself, so i got the bonafide certificate from my University, all the hotel bookings, and dummy ticket of the depature and arrival flight tickets as well.
I had applied for the swiss embassy, but im also going to visit a very close friend of mine, who lives in the netherlands. But i have no appointemnt any time near , and ive booked another slot for the swiss embassy again. Im Reapplying for the visa, and Id like to know if theres anything that i could provide to strengthen my documentation?
I also have an invitation letter from my friend who lives in Netherlands, and im not sure if i should include it, because im going to spend around 10 days in Swiss, and a week in Netherlands, followed by france , italy and greece. Do i need the sponsor letter from them as well? Because im not going to stay at their place. and also i havent included the invitation letter earlier too. When i approached the agent with this issue, their stating things that i had never thought about? Said somethin about asylum ?? , like I have my uni resuming from august, and i had alrdy paid tuition fees, so id definetly be returning backkk...

The reasons stated in the refusal letter was

1. The information submitted regarding the justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not reliable.
2. There are reasonable doubts as to the reliabilty, as to the authenticity of the supporting documents submitted or as to the veracity of their contents.
3. There are reasonable doubts as to your intention to leave the territory of the member states before the expiry of the visa.

Id like to know, what i need to do in order to get my schengen visa, the agents suggest me to take visa with my family, and i could travel alone, but My Dad alrdy has applied for a work visa in schengen region Earlier, so thats not a possibility for me.
