Sorry if this question is too redundant or vague.
I'm looking forward to enlisting soon to give my life some direction, opportunity, and excitement. I have some vague artistic aspirations that I'm continually trying to fashion into some kind of career but I'm not really sure what AFSC to choose! I also have other career aspirations to become a psychotherapist but nothing really lines up with that besides Mental Health Service which might as well be Admin.
I was set on EOD for awhile before I realized that I didn't really want the job badly enough to go through such a rigorous pipeline and risk washing out into a shit job, especially when I'm not very mechanically-inclined. I like learning about explosives and it sounds super cool but I dont think its for me, at least not the current me. Since I'll be going into all this as a freshly-minted adult I figure it'd be better if I wasn't worried about failing the EOD pipeline while I'm adjusting to this new chapter, and if it really calls to me then I can retrain later without worrying about failing and getting thrown into MX.
I went in actually being torn between airborne linguist and EOD before I since changed my mind. I enjoy learning languages and have some experience in a few, and doing it as aircrew instead of a windowless cubicle could give me the variety, cameraderie, excitement, mental challenge, and travel opportunities I've been looking for. I've also wanted to learn a language to fluency for awhile, and if I'm really lucky, I could even get Korean, which would be awesome cause I'm Korean-American and have always wanted to seriously learn. But unlike EOD, I have to list another 8 or 9 jobs alongside airborne linguist that I wouldn't mind getting instead of getting a guarunteed job contract.
I already took the AFWIN survey and the only jobs that seemed interesting were Intel and Flight Ops / Command&Control. Stuff like C&C Battle Ops and Command Post sound good so I'll put those down. I might but Public Affairs down too.
So, any advice on picking those remaining jobs, based on what I'm looking for? Is EOD secretly the right choice that I will excel in and lead me to greatness? Should I go for 9J000 instead? What's your job like?

- Keep track of our record. It’s crazy how I have to manually keep track of my record on a whiteboard in the year 2024
- Have games affect color plate. I shouldn’t have 100+ wins and still be a black plate just cause I haven’t stepped into rec, park, or theater on a new build
- Don’t make the AI shoot just because I press X. So many times I’m pressing X to dive for a loose ball, but my AI teammate gets it first then launches a full court shot that makes zero sense.
- Give players control over the active freelance set
- Stop letting AI ignore me if I’m calling for the ball. There’s been plenty of times I’ve got 37 of our 40 points, and AI will ignore me for a possession as they take a horrible contested shot.
- Let us turn off the option to auto foul in crunch time
- Let us turn off auto timeouts
- There should be better positional matchmaking. I think 1-3 matchmaking should be separated from 4-5 matchmaking
- There should be separate matchmaking doors for All time teams, regular teams, and historic teams. Choosing a regular team then rolling my eyes and having to pivot to an All time team to compete with the all time lakers is annoying.
- Make the game mode green or miss. I’ve lost a 4 point game where the other guy hit 4 contested whites. (He could’ve been cheating) I’ve hit a fair share of lucky whites too, but it’s usually on a layup once every 10 games.
- Let us modify the starting lineup (within reason). All time Rockets would be more fun if I could have Harden at the 1 instead of Calvin Murphy

So about 15-20 years ago a little kiosk in the mall was selling bamboo with pretty gravel in the bottom that included 2 frogs. On a whim I bought 1. The frogs lasted about 2 years. I got another one at the same kiosk and they only lasted about 4 years. The tank, for lack of a better word, was about 8" H x 6" W x 6" D.
The water came about 2" from the top and that's where I kept it. I fed them twice a week, also. That's it. They didn't come with instructions beyond what was in the food pack they gave me. I know it wasn't a full gallon of water as the entire thing was smaller than a gallon jug of milk.
Now that I'm a preschool teacher's assistant I was thinking of getting some again. There seems to be so many instructions, water to frog ratios, adventure tank sizes.
Was I just lucky? Or can I just set up the same situation again? Should I look into this "living sand" places keep trying to include in the kits?

I (16f) him (17m) So this boy and I have some kind of a “situation ship” so he and I were really good friend but sometimes he was cold and just ignored me and sometimes he was normal and just talked to me and that was an on and of thing but I didn’t really pay much attention to it. So one day he was playing 8 ball poll and I entered the room and he started to make some goals and then he said “ you are my lucky charm” and I didn’t say anything and then he proceeded to take off his necklace and give it to me and I took it and put it on without saying anything. And then the other day we went to eat at some place and I was wearing a t-shirt so it was cold outside so he give me his jacket and I took it and put it on and we we at to eat with other friends so we sat down to eat our food so me and this other girl wanted water so the to guys that were with they got up to bring us water so they guy that I hade a thing with said he is gonna bring me water Beacuse he is my friend so he said it in our language so it sounded like more then friends. So this guy became cold after that day so this another guy I know told me that the guy I hade a thing with said that I bagged him for his necklace and that we got in the toilet together when nothing of that happened, so I was angry and returned his necklace and jacket at the same time and I didn’t have him directly I gave it to one of his friends and wrote it to him and he just replied with “ok” and after that he blocked me everywhere so what should I do now ?

Hello all. I am an AFAB Trans Man, I'm 20, 5'10, and around 220 pounds. (automod said I needed to add that stuff, sorry if it seems unnecessary) I've been dealing with feeling nauseated almost every day when I wake up, I've been having a really hard time when it comes to eating, and I just feel way weaker than I did a few years ago. My stomach always feels tight, like if I make one wrong move or eat one wrong thing I'm going to throw up.
I do have acid reflux, and I used to take proton pump inhibitors for them. I don't smoke or drink, but I occasionally use delta-8 cannabis to deal with chronic muscle pain in my legs. I'm also on antidepressants and the birth control implant. I'm not currently on HRT, though I was for about two months.
My older sibling believes that maybe my previous living situation has something to do with the way I've been feeling.
From 2020 up till March this year, I was living in a hoarder house. I didn't have much of a choice, as I wasn't able to find a job to save my life, and I didn't find a housing situation until recently. The house was filled to the absolute brim with clutter. The bathroom was practically a biohazard, as my stepdad had a bunch of fecal accidents and would clean himself off in the shower, and it was PULLING TEETH getting him to clean up after himself! (I'm lucky I moved out after my mom died, as often times I would have to call her and say "Hey, can you tell Dad to stop being an asshole and clean up his own shit?" and that lifeline is now ashes in a box) The kitchen was the worst, filled with food we could barely store, and old gross pizza boxes (my stepdad would use them as flat surfaces to stack even MORE clutter), and a shit ton of moldy food from dishes my Stepdad would put off washing for weeks. We also had a dog that wasn't housebroken. He didn't use pee pads, he wasn't allowed outside unless I was walking him, so he literally peed everywhere. In a CARPETED HOUSE.
I don't like talking about this much because it's very embarassing, even though I know there wasn't much I could do about it (got verbally abused and screamed at every time I tried to clean up). It's especially embarassing considering how hard we tried to train the dog, but I was trying to find a job and finish high school, and my older sister was working her ass off trying to leave the same awful situation. Our mom knew we couldn't manage a dog, but she insisted on getting one anyway.
My older sibling and I think that living in a house that gross has definitely done something to my body. Could this be true? If so, what the hell is going on with me?

recently our boss said that we may or may not be getting raises bc they are hiring new people. i’ve never heard of a job doing that, and wanted to see if thats just a tjmaxx thing i didn’t know and i was just wondering if someone could confirm. the new hires thing has been so annoying for the rest of us who having been working here since the beginning. our store is brand new and every one i work with/around basically helped build this store and they keep fucking us over with not only our raises but our hours as well. i work in the backroom and i only get a max of 18 hours a week if i’m lucky; one week i had 8. i understand i’m part time but in the beginning months after opening i was always at 20-25, which i haven’t had in months. so i’m not understanding how not only do the new hires, part time and full, have more hours than everyone they are also getting offered positions other associates of mines have been asking/wanting since forever. i know my boss has a personal vendetta against us, but that an entirely different story i don’t have the energry to go through, i’m just so confused and frustrated. its been a year and they’ve pushed our raises back 5 times this year going on 6.

I am not much of a hater. Even some of the heavily hated stuff, take RWBY for example, I can easily ignore the negatives and look at the positives. Though, there are 4 things I hate in this world. Katsuki Bakugo, Ragyo Kiryuin, Marilyn Manson and Dio vs Sakuya. Now while the first two are for another day on why I hate them and the third one is a musician which I won't talk about here, I will happily explain here why this is one of the worst matchups. Not just for Sakuya, or just Dio, or just for Touhou or Jojo. No. One of, if not, the worst matchup. Period. At the end, I will leave recommendations to other matchups for them. And by the way, this is in the style of u/McMania's matchup ranking style, atleast from what I can find from him so thank you for this indepth overview/kinda debunk. Let's go.
Part 1: Connections
Well, heres the thing. There aren't any! The only connection is "they stop time". There is also the fact they use knives but Sakuya's main weapon are her knives while Dio has several other means of attacking. Okay. By that definition, Michael Newman from the 2006 movie "Click" vs Dio can work as well. I will not deny the fact they both can stop time but with it being a small connection and it being the only one, and the fact it can be applied to many other characters, it is barely impressive. Although, while the connections suck. I want to point out one of a few positives.
Part 1.5: Contrasts
Now while the connections suck, the contrasts is actually interesting. With Dio being a vampire, having a human servant while also having time powers and using knives (again, weak connections). While Sakuya is a vampire HUNTER and she is the said human servant to a vampire (Remilia). Now Remilia vs Dio is a topic for a different time, this is a neat contrast matchup. But that is the only thing carrying it. Nothing else impressive. For connections, I will have it as a 0.5/10. Now, how thematic is it?
Part 2: Thematic
Not in the fucking slightest. According to Mr Mania, a thematic matchup is how similar their story is and how good the theme is. Like I said earlier, very bad themes to it. But a vampire theme is decent to this. And their stories matching up, the fucking fuckity no. They do NOT allign up in the SLIGHTEST. So that, it gets a ZERO out of 10. Next up, animation potential.
Part 3: Animation potential
Okay, you get the win this time. With how much fanmade sprites, 3d renders and how easy it could be drawn as. Although for the other options, I feel it isn't as impressive. For that, Im giving this an 8. But only because of how popular and good their sprites, 3d renders and drawability are.
Part 4: Fight potential
Hmm. We could use the knives, but Dio uses a multitude of other weapons. Also, Sakuya's spell cards and hax completely negate all of Dio's weapons so for that, this gets a 4 due to the fact Sakuya hard counters all of Dio's hax. By Mr Mania's definition, even if one character hard counters, as long as its nothing basic, it gets a 4 or higher.
Part 5: Interaction Potential
If you know stuff about Touhou, Sakuya is mainly just hands. With that, Dio will be the main talker in this. Which he will be very cocky but Sakuya, she will ignore Dio. This is my main issue with Sakuya as she isn't much of a talker in a fight, but knowing how cocky Dio will be, she will probably ignore Dio even more. With that, it gets a 3. They can interact, its just realistically, Sakuya refuses.
Part 6: Story Potential
Again, another suprising positive. Sakuya actually has a motivator for fighting as Dio is a vampire and she hunts vampires. Although, by Mr Mania's definition, there has to be a sort of growth or something interesting about the story and the fight. Which brings it down as I doubt Sakuya will have much of a reaction to Dio's death (spoiler for part 8 of this). And I don't see anything special about this. With that, it gets a 5.
Part 7: Music Potential
Okay, you got lucky again. I refuse to elaborate but it can be done in rock, classical, metal, etc. As well as with plenty of music to work with and the said music both blending well and going hard as fuck. I am giving it a 10. But their other matchups also get a 10 in music so nothing impressive.
Part 8: Debatability.
If I could, I would give it a 0 or negatives. But, by Mr Mania's definition, if both have feats, at minimum, it gets a 1. And dear god, Sakuya farts and Part 3 of Jojo is gone (please don't make fetish art from me mentioning that). Anyways, the only way Dio can win is with EoH or comp Dio; entirely different matchups to begin with. So with that, I give it a 1, but if the definition gets changed, I am willing to give it even lower.
Part 9: Promotability
Again, another positive. Lots and lots of offical renders for both. As well as lots of fanart for both to be able to use. For drawing, its literally a maid with white hair and a blonde buff dude wearing a yellow suit. Extremely easy to draw. Even I could draw it. Although for trailers, we gotta use the fanmade anime for Sakuya. But plenty of clips for Sakuya. With that, it gets an 8. Mainly due to Sakuya needing a fanmade anime for her clips.
Part 10: Recognizability
Touhou isn't that recognizable. I first heard of Touhou from Bad Apple in my recommendations in my Youtube feed but with the amount of fan content being popular but not noticing it is Touhou, it could be recognizable. As for Dio, well Dio is an anime icon along with Jojo. But, with that, gets a 6. Mainly carried by Dio and stuff like Bad Apple and Fumo memes.
Total: 45.5/100. By u/McMania and "The Council"'s definition, FAILURE. (suprisingly, it did 1.5 points better than Kiritapp's original review). By definition from Mr Mania, it could work but hella issues with the episode.
Now, who is better for them?
If you want a good matchup with Sakuya fighting a Jojo character or Dio fighting a Touhou character? Sakuya has plenty of options I really like. Bayonetta and Alucard from Castlevania immediately come into mind. Bayonetta makes Sakuya's time powers properly treated while Alucard gives an interesting debate and hella potential with other stuff. Besides those two stars and the priest, it kinda stops there. (someone please make a good Sakuya matchup.)
Dio on the other hand, I will be talking about four Dios. Part 1, Part 3, EoH and Comp.
Part 1 should go to Muzan from Demon Slayer. Should be the same amount of potential with Johnathan vs Tanjiro but villain and less emotion yet a more colder death.
Part 3, two actually. Voldomort from Harry Potter and Alucard from Hellsing are both his best for going over Part 3 Dio. I will skip Diego as they are different yet similar due to the reset. Also Diego is a separate entity.
Eyes Of Hevaen Dio, I choose What If Ultron. I think the highlights are the interaction potential from it and it's amazing connections.
And Comp Dio, Reverse Flash or Beatrice from Umineko. I know the second one is controversial but I would say it is 10x better than Sakuyio. As it actually presents them in a good light and their actual personalities are presented well.

Part 1 should go to Muzan from Demon Slayer. Should be the same amount of potential with Johnathan vs Tanjiro but villain and less emotion yet a more colder death.
Part 3, two actually. Voldomort from Harry Potter and Alucard from Hellsing are both his best for going over Part 3 Dio. I will skip Diego as they are different yet similar due to the reset. Also Diego is a separate entity.
Eyes Of Hevaen Dio, I choose What If Ultron. I think the highlights are the interaction potential from it and it's amazing connections.
And Comp Dio, Reverse Flash or Beatrice from Umineko. I know the second one is controversial but I would say it is 10x better than Sakuyio. As it actually presents them in a good light and their actual personalities are presented well.

wanted to share my experience as a 28 year old, F, on the very thin side, anxious, and autistic.
had to have colonoscopy due to positive fit test and anaemia diagnosis, and 6 months of heavily bloody multi-daily bathroom trips. I was starting to get very concerned about cancer.
I opted for no sedation because I'm extremely anxious about feeling 'out of it' or not in control of my body/brain or feeling dizzy.
The thought of waking up and not knowing what my body went through was also making me squeamish.
I did a lot of research, I watched full, unseated colonoscopy videos on YouTube, this post from this subreddit was also incredible and explains it all better than I could. but here's my detailed experience of each step.
Prep: The prep was not bad at all, I had Citrafleet.
I prepared the mixture and took it at 6pm (the leaflet said 5pm, appointment at 11am) It had a nice lemon taste and was pleasant. after I drunk it, my medication anxiety/dread kicked in, I was like, oh god, what did I just do to my body. (i've never experienced laxatives before) I was expecting it to be like a movie and to immediately poop lol. I did not have a bowel movement for 3-4 hours. then it was just on and off bathroom trips. Funnily enough the only time it bothered me was I had to leave a competitive computer-game mid-match because I suddenly had to go so bad LOL.other than that, didn't feel too different to my normal symptoms honestly.
then I slept at 3-4am, at 3am I started to suddenly feel queasy and shaky and awful, stayed up too late I think, but it passed and I drunk water and went to sleep.
I woke up at 7am for the second packet of prep, it acted faster this time and then I stopped my 2-hours-before water drinking, was totally empty and went to the hospital.
Hospital: I got lucky, I got a very nice NHS hospital. I had a lovely nurse. They started talking about sedation and I said "I've decided to do no sedation" She said "Ah, gas and air. alright" I said nono, no sedation at all. She was a bit like "ermmm, we'll see about that" haha.
but ultimately everyone was very very respectful of my wishes! they just didn't think I would actually manage.
My heart rate was really high for ages in the waiting/prep room when they took my pulse and honestly I was so stressed they wouldn't do the procedure because my heart rate was high, so I had no time to be worried about what lay ahead because I was so fixated on trying to slow my heart rate. So my advice would be just keep your mind occupied before going in.
I got given huge green shorts, a cozy disposable gown, an iv/canula thing (they assured me it was routine, but I wouldn't get sedation). I had to pee a bunch before and then in the surgery room and had a little blanket put over me.
I had a pillow that was super comfortable and was instructed into the relevant position.
Procedure: The nurses were ALL surprised I wasn't having sedation, they asked if I was really sure I didn't want the gas and air because it can be painful and stopping halfway would be very detrimental.
They said "I know you want to do it without gas and air, some people say say they will and then can't handle it. The nurses also said it's rare someone asks to do it no sedation.
I was mentally preparing myself for the pain of the gas(for inflating the colon). I will say imagining it and feeling it are two very different experiences.
once the camera was in and they inflated with gas. It kept feeling like it was never going to stop inflating. I felt at my bodily physical limit of gas, but it kept inflating, awful awful awful. I can't deny. about 8/10 discomfort, maybe 6-7/10 pain. I had the worst urge to fart that I've ever had in my life. like "If I don't fart I'm going to explode from the inside" levels of bad, which was a slightly panic inducing feeling. The nurses said to pass gas if I needed to, but I couldn't fart. Either because of the position I was in (on side, knees up to chest), the obstruction from the camera, the fear, or because I felt like if I tensed, I'd pop like a balloon.
so "if i dont fart i'll explode & die, if i tense to fart i'll explode & die" was basically my experience with the gas.
Next they said "You might feel a period cramp" and I did. BOY DID I.
I said: "Oh yeah, just like a bad period cramp" And she said "Yeah we can't really help the boys by telling them that" and I somehow managed a "haha"
I think they said "We're going to do some water" but I didn't feel that.
It just felt like just trying to survive and get through it, I was just breathing, I knew I could survive it once I knew the pain I was dealing with. It just stayed consistently awful and painful and terrible. with occasional very bad cramps and awful sensations in 40-50 second bouts in various places in the middle section of my body.
There was so much different noise too from the machine.
The sensations ranged from: Intense gas cramps, horribly inflated feeling, a sucking on my intestines feeling, stomach caving in feeling, terrible period pain, terrible stomach pain, and rippling sensations.
I could barely look at the camera screen because I was just so focused on getting through it. frankly I didn't care LOL. I think I glanced once I just couldn't handle looking on top of what was happening to me. side note: I'm now put off giving birth if its anything like this hahaha.
I fluctuated between tensing from the discomfort and trying to relax. sometimes the discomfort was so freaky and bad my body tensed just to deal with it. If you've ever had a dream where a zombie was eating your stomach guts alive, it was reminiscent of that.
side note: I'm like a cat when I'm in pain, I don't like to show it, and I didn't want the sedation. So I was so badly trying to play it cool.
The literal best way I can describe all of this, it was like the worst food poisoning of your life, the worst trapped wind of your life, and the worst period cramp of your life, all at once, x2 or x3.
A few times my stomach rippled really unpleasantly and I keep remembering that sensation and cringing today
I can also liken some of the feelings to someone sticking a henry hoover into my ovaries.
It wasn't anything I haven't 'naturally' felt in my body before, if that makes sense, they were "familiar" sensations, just not to that degree. I didn't expect it to be such a worse variation of familiar pains.
I also didn't expect to feel all of this SO HIGH UP IN MY BODY?! like the majority of it was felt above and around my belly button.
I don't understand how people say they knew what part of the colon they were in, I couldn't. but they did point when we were about halfway and I was relieved.
For the last part, turn or bend, I think it took 3 attempts, the nurse had to push onto my tummy to flatten something out, honestly, that made me feel so much better, the pressure was really relieving. and I swear to you, it poked my rib when it went through! it felt like it anyway.
There was no pain after that. I knew it wouldn't hurt going out, so my relief was immeasurable, I knew I'd done it.

They said "We're going to take the biopsies now." I didn't feel that (thank goodness) but I was mega-cringing at the idea. for some reason I felt hot and slight burning in my insides mostly towards the entrance. I'm not sure how they took the biopsies but I heard a tiny drill type sound, and it freaked me out lol. i imagined them frying it off with a tiny saw.
they took, either 6 or 12 biopsies, I'm not sure. it was a strip biopsy, on my report card it has 6 things and says "x2" for each one, so idk.
When the camera went out I asked "is it over?" I didn't really feel the camera go out and was in disbelief because it was quicker than I anticipated and I couldn't believe that I had done it and was feeling proud of myself, and they were all hyping me up so much, telling me I should be crowned as queen and that the nurse could never do what I did. I felt so on top of the world. I couldn't stop smiling with relief.
The nurse called me brave and I said I was only brave because I was so scared of the sedation. Everyone is brave in different ways! You're not any less brave than me if you opt for sedation or Entonox. :)
Genuinely the entire thing felt 10 minutes long, it was like they did a speed-run of my guts, and it FELT like that too lol. just absolutely crashing around the entire mario kart racetrack that was my bowel. I'm just kidding, the doctor was great, it's a baffling procedure and I admire any doctor that does it.
I'd be so curious how long it actually was.. I was mentally prepared for 44 minutes, but idk. I don't want to get your hopes up that it will be short. maybe the shorter, the more painful?
I walked to the bus stop with my mum, I was kind of in disbelief that I did that.
Post-non-sedated-colonoscopy-thoughts
I would do it again if I had to, un-sedated. It was worth it for me to avoid three types of sensations that make me panic (dizziness, sluggish or forgetful)
I'm also really happy that I was able to be there and experience what was happening to my body, personally, I feel like if I was sedated I would always be wondering what my body went through without me being present.
I liked being able to breathe, and follow any instructions.
I've spent the entirety of the following day cringing in reflection of what happened, feeling achy, and being embarrassed for doing it un-sedated (for some reason I feel like everyone thinks i'm crazy).

My options of sedation were Entonox or Midazolam and Fentanyl through IV. Lots of people said those things made them so relaxed and the best relaxation they've ever felt. It made me remember the Lavender Liquid dispensed from SCP-294q-01, where they drank the perfect drink and afterwards said "I'm sorry, but at this point everything is just one big let-down"
My brain is immensely neurotic and always in 'go' mode, I was worried if I felt relaxation like that, I'd probably start chasing different drugs to recreate it lol.

I came across the stock last week and got in at $.28 (about 3600 shares). I’m happy to say I got out at $3.50 (because I thought tree fiddy was a good time). Do I think this could go up again? Yeah. Am I happy I got out before it tanked? Sure am. The easiest thing is to hold and I’m not saying I won’t get back in. I see posts about the next GameStop and the craziness of wanting life changing money. This takes time and is very lucky if it ever happens. It has to close above $1 the next 8 days. I’m anticipating it getting knocked down to about $.62 Monday out the gate. If I see it on the rise I’ll make the call. If it doesn’t then it was a nice and fast run. I don’t like hedge funds and I’m here to make money. Gains are gains. If I made a bad call then that’s on me and happy for those that stuck it out. Good luck to you all.
