Just Completed a 3x 3090 Build
The Build:
  • Intel i9 9820x w/ Corsair H150 3x120 AIO
  • 128 GB DDR4 3600 MHz
  • Asus X299 Deluxe II
  • Various SSD's and NVME drives (I always load models from an NVME when possible!)
  • 3x RTX 3090 - 2 Dell OEM, 1 ASUS AORUS - All on air cooling (Going to water imminently)
  • Corsair HX1500 PSU
I've had this third RTX 3090 sitting around a little bit, problem is its a gargantuan card, essentially 4 slot cooler, and won't fit alongside 2x Dell 3090s which work so well together. So today I ran to the shop and grabbed a Define 7 XL case (Formerly had a Define 6), a Corsair HX 1500W psu (clearance for 220 CAD) and a PCIE riser kit. I knew I wasn't fitting 10 slots worth of GPU's into this case, but I had a pretty good idea how I would jank this thing in.
The PCIE riser (AVA Bracket/Riser kit) came with a handy bracket to vertically mount the GPU. Thankfully, the hole spacing is 140mm, and the R7 XL case has a 140mm fan mount at the back. Initially I intended on mounting the card to a fan which would be sandwiched between the GPU bracket and the case using some machine screws to hopefully transfer some stress to the case, instead of through the plastic fan. However, this shifted the placement of the card a little to close to the motherboard, and the PCIE riser wouldn't reach the 2nd slot on the motherboard, so I had to mount the GPU bracket directly to the case (which can be about an inch further from the motherboard). Unfortunately, this means most of the GPU heat is exhausting through the CPU AIO radiator, absent a 140mm fan exhausting perpendicular to the AIO. I might think about this some more and possibly use the AIO as intake supplemented with a few 140mm fans taking fresh cool air in with 3x 140mm fans exhausting. Or just go all water with 2x 420 mm radiators and 1x 280mm. Surprisingly, the pci-e riser going over the top dell card doesn't hurt cooling too much. It's sitting at 92C @ 100% TDP, vs 87C for the bottom card. I expected worse.
First benchmark wasn't even in fact an LLM, but a hash cat benchmark. MD5 performance is 210 GH/s. Phew. On a sustained load, the two Dell GPU's reach about 89C and 92C (hot spot) while the Asus card reaches 105C and thermally throttles to about 85% TDP. I suspect this is because I didn't replace the thermal pads when I swapped the water block back to the air cooler (it came with the stock air cooler, but a water block was installed). Something to look at doing when I go water cooling.
My current project is a custom-rag utility that can take a number of user-uploaded documents they can assign to an "expert". The utility will create a dataset and FAISS index for the assigned files and various "experts" can be turned on and off by the user to ensure relevant retrieval and generation, yet with broad knowledge should the user desire. Perhaps the framework can even handle which datasets to search in the future. I'm presently using DPR for passage retrieval but may look at other options. I've read things mentioning Langchain but haven't yet investigated. Llama 3 8B instruct is the current generator (I didn't mess around too much with quants of other 34b models or larger just yet) because it just seems to work and is great for testing; it loads quickly enough and generates a decent response. I'm fairly new to the world of LLM's and AI/ML as a whole, but I'm absolutely blown away with the progress made in the past 12 months. It's become my new hobby.
Why did I opt for a 3rd 3090? Hopefully to generate with command-r+ in 8bit, of course!
Any thoughts for models you would try first? Custom-rag app advice? Benchmark suggestions? Critique on the build or suggestions for improving airflow? Lets hear it.

This is for us normies who don’t want to sift through a hundred youtube videos just to figure out basic information that should be readily available. This guide is designed for people who are new to modding.
This LLO follows Brxsie’s model. For more detailed info on categorization refer to their reddit post.
You can leave out any mod on this list that you don’t want except for USSEP.

Hi everyone; I’m not a modder nor a PC player, but I was desperate to figure out how to safely load my game with reasonable lore-friendly updates. Every LLO guide I’ve found so far has either been outdated, contradictory to other sources, does not specify which mods fall under what category, is way too vague, or way too specific. The mods I’ve listed here should be easily searchable on the recently updated Xbox creations menu so that any Xbox player can easily copy this list. Originally, I was just recording my LLO for my own personal use, but I figured this could help people who don’t have the time to put in as much research as I have.
If you are brand new to modding, vanilla+ means that you want to stay faithful to the original game as much as possible while upgrading the look of your Skyrim world and making a few convenient tweaks. The least “true to the original game” mod on this list is convenient horses. In my experience so far, this LLO plays just as smoothly as vanilla Skyrim.
Unless I wrote a note next to the mod stating otherwise, all of these mods are independent of one another, except for: divine atmosphere, divine atmosphere snowflake edit, and realistic snowflakes. If you like the ugly fractal snowflakes in divine atmosphere then don’t bother with the other two mods, but if not, you need the vanilla snowflake edit and the snowflake texture mod to go together. Therefore, you can leave out any mod on this list that you don’t want except for USSEP), and the game will function normally.
To customize settings of mods while in-game, go to magic -> powers. “Equip” the mod you want to change and press RB once out of the menu. This is relevant to divine atmospheres, divine interiors, flute finder, convenient horses, and some dialogue mods.
Most mods on this list can be downloaded or deleted safely while playing a pre-existing save file. Deleting mods become problematic when you have already added and interacted with a custom item to the game and then delete the mod that supported the item. When testing new mods, I suggest only adding a few at a time so that you know what to delete if you encounter any issues.
If you are reading this on a laptop or PC, you can press command/control F to search for keywords of the mods you want to install to find where they belong in the LLO.
Personally, my favorite mods that I’ve added to the game are the dialogue mods and the texture mods. They make Skyrim feel like a real world with real people living in it and I would highly suggest using some or all of them. I’d also love to hear everyone’s suggestions on proposed edits to this load order. Please let me know if you are aware of any conflicting mods or bugs, or if I have made any mistakes in my layperson's explanation of techy stuff. Unsure if this is relevant information, but I’m located in the USA.
Extra notes:
What the heck is a leveled list? A leveled list is a change in the code that makes changes to certain values. Such as changing how much gold a character has or how powerful an enemy is.
And what exactly is an area edit? An area edit is any mod that adds or significantly changes a location in the game. This includes adding extra trees, adding extra smelters, or adding custom player homes that do not exist in vanilla, among other things.
Why are there all of these categories and why is it so complicated? LLO sorts mods so that the game can load the most important files first. When LLO is not followed, the game will inevitably crash. Categories allow us to sort mods into the LLO based on how they interact with the game's code. People sometimes disagree on what order to put the categories in, but all LLO templates use the same basic categories.
I do not use immersive citizens AI because multiple people have reported bugs. Other people have no issues with it, but I prefer to stay on the safe side.
Remember to lower your in-game brightness, especially when you are using divine interiors and divine atmospheres. If the brightness is all the way up, things will start to glow. You will have to use torches in locations with zero light, such as corners in caves. This adds a realistic feel to the game. If you give a torch to your follower, they will automatically use it in in low-light conditions. I switch between default/glimmegrim/vivid depending on where I am and how colorful I want things to be. The game may look darker overall as you can see in the screenshots, but this is more true to how lighting works in the real world.
Skyrim 101 tip: When you ditch items to reduce your carry weight, store them somewhere (such as a dead body or a chest) instead of dropping them on the ground. If you drop items all over your game it will eventually lag.
When creating a new character, keep in mind that once you start playing, you might change the lighting and make the colors more saturated. For example: I accidentally gave myself yellow hair instead of natural blonde because I forgot about lighting and atmosphere changes. This is another reason to install the vanity mirror mod, which allows you to change your character mid-game.
Storage space: all of the mods I have listed here take up approximately 4.36GB.
I suggest keeping a note of your LLO on your phone so that you can easily categorize mods you want to add the future.
Sometimes LLO will not save, so I recommend double-checking that everything landed in the right spot or backing up your LLO to bethesda before exiting the LLO menu.
Sometimes you need to restart your game to enable a newly installed mod.
How to delete a complex mod without causing problems: disable the mod, hard reset (hold power button for 10 secs or unplug the console), uninstall the mod, hard reset.
I’ve noticed a bug where I cannot tell my follower (Lydia) to do anything in “command mode”. I don’t know what’s causing this- it seems like a dialogue issue but I rarely use the command mode feature anyway so it’s small enough for me to ignore for now. Let me know if you find out what's causing this!

I requested reimbursement AGAIN for the soap my GM asked me to purchase when our store was out of soap for over 2 weeks. I worked with them today and when I submitted the expense he told me I needed to think about the business and how I helped out so many customers by buying soap. It didn’t cost that much but after posting here it just made me angry that shitty people get away with things like this. I can’t bring this to HR because I have had a talk with my GM and David about ADA accommodations. David too busy s5cking everyone’s d$cks to do anything to help the partners and our DM is never in store. I’m interviewing with places next week and going to quit when I get something better.

The context of this post is you flashed away your recovery and your system partitions. You're on Linux, like me, or you're on a version of Windows that has the drivers already installed. TWRP is currently not compatible with new firmware or anything beyond android 10 (please correct me if I'm wrong). Given that TWRP is out of date and hasn't been updated since 2022, we'll have to use adb and fastboot only. (If there are other tools from oneplus that make this easier please let me know).
Though I did write these, I did use chatgpt to write this with bullet points and fix any typos I had in my original instructions.

Steps to Successfully Install LineageOS on OnePlus 6T (Fajita)

Here is the detailed step-by-step process to install LineageOS on the OnePlus 6T, including all the commands you ran, in the order you did them. I'll also include notes about potential risks of bricking your phone.

Prerequisites

  1. Ensure your phone's bootloader is unlocked.
  2. Download the necessary files from the LineageOS website for OnePlus 6T (example):
    • lineage-21.0-20240514-nightly-fajita-signed.zip
    • boot.img
    • vbmeta.img
    • dtbo.img

Steps

  1. Reboot into Fastboot Mode:
    • Turn off your phone.

Related, I used adb instead of fastboot for the image because of this error (might not be the exact error. This is reconstructed):

I have 1 Google home smart speaker (original), 1 Google home nest screen, 1 Google nest mini (puck), and my Samsung phone. Today all day, whenever I ask Google anything, the indicator just spins and then eventually it gives up. No response of failure, it just stops trying to process the command. All of my devices are doing this, even my phone. I have already tried rebooting all 3 home devices. I updated and rebooted my AP's (ubiquiti), and I took my phone off wifi to try on cell network. All the same. But if I open the Google home app on my phone, everything works there. I can control my lights and I even manually ran my custom "it's TV Time" automation and that worked. So it's JUST the voice assistant not being able to process any incoming voice requests. Anyone else in the world having this issue? I tried googling "Is Google assistant down" but I didn't see anything relevant to today.

I'm going to be running an Eladrin Paladin in my upcoming DnD campaign. Our DM allowed me to play as an Eladrin but to create my backstory with the following prompts:
  1. you come from the Feywild with other Fey but something happened and you long to return.
  2. your memories are not clear. Is like if you miss something or someone.
So far this is the story I've come up with. Please read and review and advise me if I need to change anything here.
Dantalion was a young flirtatious eladrin, and an aspiring knight-initiate to the Seelie Court. He was often spending his days on the lookout for mortal travelers entering the fey realm looking for adventure. Often he had joined the rowdy crowd of fairies and satyrs in pranking them until they left. Unless any of the female adventurers caught his eye, then he was on them like flies on pie.
One day he got into a major tryst, with a buxom lass that turned out to be Verenestra, the daughter of Titania, Queen of the Summer Court. This was a huge problem for the young eladrin as his Lord and Patron, to whom all green knights were sworn to, King Oberon, was the father of Verenestra.
Word of this tryst got around. Oberon had to deal with his daughter, as well as a loyal Paladin of his Court. For Verenestra, there is not even a choice. Of course, she sides with her liege and father and abandons the poor eladrin.
King Oberon, unwilling to destroy an otherwise loyal follower, yet unable to just let it be, chooses exile for the poor eladrin. Dantalion was exiled as a criminal, and was sent through a Worldfall event. Ending up in a ruined city.
Then something happened that no-one could anticipate. Dantalion was sneak attacked from behind by a monster lurking in the ruins, an Oblex. Embittered by his exile, Dantalion was not ready for the attack.The attack did not kill him, however the Oblex got what it really wanted, affected Dantalion's mind, robbing him of most of his memories.
He was left in a dazed state, but without his memories of getting back to the Feywild, his means of travelling and traversing through the Feywild, and most of all, of his love for Verenstra, service under Oberon, and his exile.
Confused, and directionless, he often wandered from forest to forest looking for anything that could stir a memory. After some time, frustration and anger began to build having not found anything, he turned into his Summer form, going around looking for fights. He eventually spotted a group of young paladins in training who were surrounded by a group of Meenlocks. Dantalion raced in and managed to beat back the Meenlocks with some assistance from the young paladins. Dantalion's loud commanding attitude in his Summer form became somewhat awe-inspiring to the young initiates.
They invited him to return with them to the Temple of Sune as thanks for his efforts. When they arrived back in Waterdeep, Dantalion had eyes on him everywhere. But after stepping into the Temple, the worshippers and the clergy became a reminder of being back home in the Fey Realm - here they appreciated beauty, the dance, wine, art, music, all of which began to give him fond memories back when he was in his Spring form.
Prolonged exposure to the rituals and customs of the disciples of Sune, helped Dantalion back into his Spring form after he managed to calm down, and opened up to the clergy of Sune about the Fey Realm about the sights and wonders of that realm, finally returning him to his SPring form. Resigning himself to the possibility of not returning to the Fey Realm, he decided to make the Material Plane his second home, and became a Paladin of Sune, proving himself as a dexterous initiate, and an eager reveler in the beauty, art and wonder of Sune.

I'm looking to host a server where players venture out to kill mob bosses from Cataclysm and Alex's Caves (and other mods) in order to progress further in a custom build I'm constructing at spawn. Ideally, I'd like the doors to only open if they collect two or three boss-specific items. For example, to unlock one of the doors it might need the Forge Hammer from the Monstrosity, the Pure Darkness from a Fordaken and an Ender Dragon egg to be placed somewhere for the door to open.
Is there any command or function within a mod (besides securitycraft) that can require players to put forth three specific mod items before allowing a door to open? For immersion I'm planning to use Locked Aether Dungeon blocks for the structure so players legitimately can't progress without presenting the items, so anything not inherently "breakable" by players is a plus. Create Mod is intentionally not present but I do have Supplementaries.
If it's a command I may need some hand-holding through it, as I'm not super experienced on that front.
The server is currently being set up in 1.20.1 with Sinytra Connector so Forge and Fabric mods are at play.

so my friend made this sick command where when you hold a stick and name it "crazy stick dirt" it places a small section of dirt in front of you. This was the old command:

Edit Trades on Bedrock?
I've seen several posts about changing villagers' trades using commands, but a lot of these are old posts, and sometimes the information is inconsistent. Besides that, I'm not even sure if this command will work on a non-villager, but I just wanted to try it and see. I want to use a custom wandering trader (from an add-on) as a shopkeeper, and I'm trying to make it so that they sell specific items, so I tried using /data modify but the game doesn't recognize that as a valid command. I thought it was for Bedrock, but maybe I'm mistaken?
The attached images show the character in his shop and what he currently sells, but I would like to change the fourth and fifth options to a honey bottle and a book with a custom name. I would appreciate any help. 🙏

For the sake of common ground, I am going to assume these types of cancers do not need to be elaborated on as we all likely have a basic understanding of what they are. The medical conditions treated by Tavalisse and Rezlidhia I felt needed a more in-depth explanation because they are not common. I will elaborate on RET+ a little later in this writing.

~Summary and Prediction~
The current share price of sub $1 does not feel justified. I would anticipate financial breakeven by the end of 2024 or potentially in Q1 or Q2 of 2025. The robust pipeline, progress, and expected revenue growth are enough to justify a much higher valuation. The debt load is manageable, but the potential for S is concerning. I believe that the S is not necessary and revenue growth and progress should speak for itself. I am not as bullish as the analysts at HC Wainright for a $15 PT, but the valuation should be at least 3x to 5x from the current value. This thesis does not highlight the patents surrounding their drugs either which some extend into 2035 and beyond. Perhaps what Wall Street is discounting is the fact that most of the drugs are very niche. However, the currently available drugs have an addressable market, albeit less universal than some, but you should value it in the sense of multiple facets (a 1000 headed snake is the phrase I wanted to use). I believe the company should be valued with specialty drugs in mind which would command a higher PE ratio. At the current day and time of writing, the value should be at least $1.50 to $1.75 ~at a minimum~ with a 12 month price target of $3 to $5+. I will be looking for continued revenue growth in each quarter this year and realization of revenue from Gavreto in Q2 or Q3 this year. The partnerships should not be discounted either and the current share price if it lingers here perhaps may attract a merger or acquisition. I initially began the research thinking that perhaps the drugs were too niche, but given the multiple drugs they are working with, I believe their revenue sources will continue to grow if you do not focus on one particular drug as the main performer. With the most recent inflation report being cooler than expected, I would suspect larger funds and institutions will be circling back to riskier assets.

There are two components to Cloud Imperium Games' (CIG) project. Star Citizen is the MMO component, a first-person experience in a simulated 30th-century universe. Squadron 42 is the single-player component, a story-driven campaign where you enlist as a UEE Navy combat pilot. Our current understanding is you will be given the option of having your Squadron 42 character, who musters out of the Navy at the conclusion of the campaign, carry over into the Star Citizen persistent universe, taking with them the reputation and relationships they've built with NPC entities.

The base has the little gold ! next to it indicating an objective. However any attempt to interact just brings up the usual comms/dockside batrade/military/exit options.
Is this mission just bugged?

2024.05.19 00:53 TheNea00 Lag spikes with mid-end pc

First of all I'm new to reddit so I may post stuff the wrongg way or the wrong place. Second, I made a custom modpack to play with my girlfriend. Serever is hosted on my machine, and it does not give any problems. Unfortunately we both experience strong fps drops seemingly random. I'm quite experienced in minecraft and modding but I couldn't figure out what is cauusing those drops.
Fps on my machine floats between a stable 700-800 and then randomly drop to 20-30 causing extreme pain in my hearth and eyes.
Maybe someone could help?
Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge 47.2.32
Pc specs
RX570
16GB DDR4, 6 allocated for server and 6 for Client
Same problem presents on Java 8 and Java 17 Spark profiler run with command --thread * Link

2024.05.19 00:24 DoctorBoson I'm redoing the Codex, here's three Detachments so far

Not much preface needed. I wanna see some big scary golden bois with fun rules. PDF here.
It's not complete yet, still have more to do (the list of plans listed out at the bottom. My guess is that we're leaning towards OP here, but I'm not sure how much. Very open to critique, criticisms, and suggestions!
Note: I'm not a competitive player, nor even a Custodes player (I play 'nids) but Custodes deserve fun rules and I like writing rules for games. Also want to shout out the custom detachments by superboyROC and pressST4RT, I took a few ideas (Enhancements and Strats) straight from them.

Changes

Bonus Army Rule: Aegis of the Emperor gives a 6++ vs MW and Dev Wounds. This rule is given to all "standard" Custodes Infantry (e.g. not Sisters)
New Ka'tah Stance: Kaptaris. Not the Index rule, but instead giving the option to force battleshock on an enemy unit (probably at –1). Fits a bit more with the fantasy of "trap the enemy and disorient them". Also quite good in Null Maidens.
Unit Changes:
Auric Champions I put this one out there a month or so back, but I've made a few changes since then.
Shield Host The intent here was a flexible, all Custodes detachment primarily focused on durability
Emperor's Wrath I wanted to contrast the previous Shield Host with an offense-oriented all Custodes detachment
