Hurricane Harvey made landfall as a Category 4 hurricane near Rockport, TX early Saturday morning.
It has since weakened to a tropical storm and is now sitting over the Texas coast producing massive amounts of rain. Houston has been the hardest hit major city, already accumulating ~20 inches of rain. Rain is expected to continue over the next few days and as much as 50 inches of rain could fall in some areas.
Flooding is also expected to occur in the southwestern parts of Louisiana.

which I'm personally not preparing, but to each their own Basic Disaster Supplies Kit To assemble your kit, store items in airtight plastic bags and put your entire disaster supplies kit in one or two easy-to-carry containers such as plastic bins or a duffel bag.
