I am 35M from India and started my career into IT just 4 years back due to poor decisions taken one after another in my 20s. I worked in tech support for a router and an ISP company, both situated in US. After working there for 2 years I moved into networks as a NOC engineer. It's been 2 years there now, I am not doing anything but managing incidents and creating tickets. To be honest I have no experience about working on a network device or any server.
Realizing there isn't much tech work in the department I started utilizing my spare time to study all the bloody time while I am not working. I have studied AWS associate and RHCSA till now. Will sit for their exams soon enough. Now planning to learn ansible since I like Linux and living on the terminal.
I am late in my life and to catch up with that I am trying to find out something that I can put myself in to get some good money. I looked up for devops and coding and realized former would be a good option. I have a knack for learning new tech and ready for any hard work. I am trying to get a job as a linux admin to get my head around how the infra works and plan to move into devops from there. Please suggest !!!! Thanks.

I'm back with another vague idea for a character. Someone was able to suggest a great build for a Brock Samson build from Venture Bros. However, I've been wanting a more unarmed type character.
So, I was aiming for a character who used to be an underground fighter, maybe used as muscle forsome hiest jobs. During a robbery, my guy can't help but touch a pretty looking golden goblet or other form of treasure.
Of course, it turns out to be cursed and gives my character the trouble of turning things to gold. To be realistic, I already had planned on making it fool's gold, as to not make profit from it unless tricking someone dumb enough to buy it.
Though, I'm stuck on the part of race and class picking. I was hoping to do unarmed damage in fights and have an effect like frost on an enemy but, reflavored to fool's gold. Where the fist hits, a splotch of gold appears. To not have that effect, my character could have a special pair of gloves that would lessen the damage of attacks but negate the transformation, allowing the story to keep going.
I was thinking of some sort of monk or fighter. Yet, to get an effect like that, I'd think there would be some magic needed. Maybe a half-orc for the strength. Any pointers would help!!

i was looking for ui scale mods, didnt find any easily, got frustrated, tried changing the dpi settings on windows, that didnt work, went through the files and found that thing, and... it works.
all i could find was people saying they were having ui issues and not really many fixes

I feel like I’m at the end of my mental rope. The perfect storm is currently happening and I’m mentally writing letters to my kids and anyone else that might give a fuck. I don’t want to do this, but have zero reason not to. I’ve had these thoughts for a while now, but writing these letters actually makes it make even more sense. I’m not sure why I’m even posting this, my mental state is fading fast

So before fully jumping into the lostwave genre (hi from the EKT community, lol) I actually had my own search for a song that I've been looking for for years...simply to hear the full version of it.
The catch? Unlike other lost songs, in this case I actually KNOW the artist and the name of the song....or at least what seems to be like a working title. The song from what I can gather is "Ben Eats Peanuts" by The Foxfield Four.

I pulled it from a studio monitor demo that used to be on YouTube and has since been removed. I dug and found a working repost and was able to capture just 46 seconds of it.
There also appears to be a live performance of the song by The David James Band (which boasts a lot of similarities, I'm assuming it's probably the same people with a different name).
The part that's lost is that aside from that live video, I have been unsuccessful in locating the full song ANYWHERE. I read somewhere that it was released on the Weatherman EP but it doesn't show up in any of the song listings where that album is posted. EVEN SHAZAM PICKS IT UP BUT I CAN'T STREAM IT ANYWHERE!!
Perhaps the band pulled it themselves? I've just been dying to hear the rest of the track for years and I can't get this stupid song anywhere. 😭

If we're all being honest, with only a couple of exceptions, all of the Jarls kinda suck. So I'm curious to see how everyone would replace them if given the chance. Doesn't have to link to the Empire or Stormcloaks, just a general replacement. Here's Mine.
Solitude: Gisli. Frankly I think it'd be a funny bit of Karma to make her Erikur's Boss with how much she seems to resent him.
Morthal: Jogen. Every time I see him in game, either for the Vampire Quest in the hold or for Pieces of the past, he comes across as a very level-headed individual who takes good care of his community. It's part of the reason I always buy the Pieces of the Razor off of him, the Mill needs new blades, and If I can help out Morthal while doing the quest it's a win-win.
Markarth: Ainethach from Karthwasten. Give him some sort of Leverage over the SIlver-Bloods. Maybe he'll be willing to put pressure on the bastards.
Falkreath: Ok this one kinda sucks because there's hardly anyone living in Falkreath hold that isn't an assassin or a Vampire. So I'm gonna go with Valdr, simply because he's one of the few characters I like in this hold.
Dawnstar: There are probably objectively better choices to lead Dawnstar (frankly anyone's better than Skald), but I'm going to give Bulfrek the seat of Dawnstar's Jarl. Let him have the authority to boot his abusive *former* boss out of town and start making life better for everyone else!
Riften: Mjoll. Look at Riften's 2 Jarl options from the game, we have a good-intentioned person who's too stupid to see exactly how bad the corruption in her city is, and a borderline crime lord with direct connections to the Thieve's Guild. Let Mjoll take the throne and then let us help her wipe out the thieves!
Winterhold: There's nobody here! Everyone who lives in the hold lives in this one city, and most of those are College members! There's 13 people living in Winterhold itself, and most of them are either the Jarl's family or his Imperial replacement! Ranmir's a Drunk, Nelecar's a bad Idea, and while someone like Tolfdir or Urag are crazy smart Politics aren't what that intelligence is tailored around. Winterhold sucks.
Windhelm: Frankly I think Brunwulf is the best option for a replacement Jarl of Windhelm, but just going with the base game is uninteresting (and unlike Winterhold I actually have more options). Shahvee is the next best candidate for Jarl (and would piss off some of the more racist Nords in the area! XD), plus as a follower of Zenithar we know she has good morals, and she's always in high spirits!

I (16M) graduated last Friday. After the ceremony ended I couldn't find my parents anywhere. I was looking around for them and then I decided to check my phone. My mom sent me a text a while ago letting me know that my sister went into labor and her and my dad were at the hospital. This upset me because I thought my parents were there but realizing that they weren't just made me sad. I saw everyone else with their family taking pictures and stuff and I was just standing there awkwardly not knowing what to do. My mom told me that they would be back asap to come and get me.
They did not. I waited for a good 20 minutes watching everyone else leave. I decided to just walk home because I got tired of waiting. I walked 3 miles before my parents drove by and made a u turn to come and pick me up. They were mad when they saw me walking. They told me that It was disrespectful of me to for leave with out telling them and accusing me of putting myself in danger.
I told them that It wasn't alot of people left at the ceremony and I didn't want to wait anymore. I also told them that they knew it was important for them to be there and they completely bailed on me. They told me that they were sorry and kept trying to justify why they left. I told them that it doesn't make sense for them to leave when my sisters husband were there with her and if they really wanted to abandon me they could have at least had one of them stay with me but they left me with no one to watch me and ruined what was supposed to be a good day for me.
My sister didn't even give birth that day she gave birth like 18 hours later which pissed me off more. The problem is my parents are upset with me because they wanted to take another picture of me with my cap and gown on but I refused. The one they took of me in the car I wasn't smiling and my parents wanted a redo because of it.
I told them no. I said that if they already had a picture of me and that it's all they are gonna get. I told them that there are pictures of me on my school's facebook page and they can screen shot it from there or can leave it alone. If they choose to attend my college graduation they can maybe see me in another cap and gown. But until then, I don't see why I have to put it on just for them when they chose to miss it.
They feel as if I'm punishing them by not allowing them to take a picture of me. I just feel like if they wanted a picture they should've been there. Other than that they can use the ones on Facebook, the one in the car, or none at all.

Hello Y'all! I am just reposting the update and adding some insights in case my last post was removed.
OLD POST << Hello, folks! Some people here must have seen my last post about my experience with folliculitis and how it wouldn't stop coming back no matter what I did ( even after a ton of antibiotics and other medication for 6 months ) and I think I found out why. After endless textbooks and science papers, I finally came across some interesting papers :

There's a parasite that is so small and easily caught ( they come from animals, mostly dogs and cats ) that has the same characteristics of bacterial folliculitis. In fact, in some of these papers, it is said that if the antibiotics and nothing else works, it's probably this thing. They don't appear on blood tests and sometimes you can't see them even with a biopsy.
( Doctors found out because of a guess, actually. )
One thing that I did not find on textbooks and was surprised to read is: bacterial folliculitis rarely itches. Itching is the main sympton of parasitic folliculitis, in fact, the itching is worse at night. Although it was studied in 1929 at first and they are found everywhere ( principally in tropical and subtropical countries) most doctors end up missing the clues because these little f**ks are not that well known and they don't show the usual characteristics that parasites show ( for example, at first I thought they were scabies, but mine are not contagious so I ruled it out ) but this kind of parasite can be non contagious too.
By the way, I must specify that other kinds of folliculitis CAN itch too. Here they are talking about the difference between bacterial and parasitic folliculitis.
So it explains those past symptoms that I previously talked about :
⦁ Comes back after medication even if weeks later.
⦁ Sugar can make it worse ( parasites like that )
⦁ Heat and sweat make it worse.
⦁ There are no other symptoms like fever or pain ( apparently, the larvae can't reach deeper skin, so it stays trapped on the outer layers of skin. )
⦁ The lesions appear some days after first contact and can take very few days to appear other lesions.
⦁ The lesions follow a TRAIL. They can be linear or just jump from one place to another. They are always close initially before going onto other places.
⦁ It started on my thighs, but besides the thigh it is also common to appear first on the skin of your feet or above the gluteous. And then it goes to the rest of your body.
Yeah, so Doctors can end up misdiagnosing because it can look like scabies or bacterial folliculitis. As one of the papers said, it can last years because the parasite can die but come back. A person can get them anywhere but it's most common to get them after having contact with water or soil contaminated, even stepping on it for a second can be enough.
Another interesting thing is that infections of the skin can look different on everyone, no matter the race, so sometimes they can be parasitic but look like bacterial, virus, fungus folliculitis. Most of them usually have a brown dot in the middle though.
So I ask you guys to read those papers, they may help you. They talk about the medication that was used and apparently it's rare for them to have side effects, and of course, be careful with self medication, if you can please contact a medically qualified professional. I know that choice is not available to everyone but if you can, a second opinion can be very helpful.
Today I went to check with my doctor and everyone was very happy to confirm that that was the actual problem. So I am happy to share this information with you guys.

It's working. As I answered someone else back there " The good news is that was exactly the problem. The bad news is that folliculitis is a very uncommon thing to get when it comes to parasites and it's the hardest to get rid of, unfortunately. They basically say " It's hard to get rid of, take the meds until it's gone" because that's something that doesn't happen every day and the doctors and scientists are kind of not totally sure what to do. So I'm taking 12mg ivermectin every monday ( two pills of 6mg ) because that's usually what people do and works most of the time. At the start I had them all over my body, but then months later I took ivermectin for three days and they kind of died, so I had to stop taking any kind of medication for 30 days to take another lab test, but surprise, the lesions did not grow like before ( every 3 days ) , for a whole month I only got two or three new ones and they would die almost immediately. It really depends on the person how many times you'll have to take the medication, in my case , my immune system and overall health is not the best so it makes a bit of sense that it's taking a while."

[ We reviewed all cases that were seen in our department from April 1991 to April 2000 of CLM in which creeping eruption was associated with folliculitis. Patients were included if they presented with localized folliculitis and creeping eruption. Folliculitis was defined as pustular follicular cutaneous lesions. Creeping eruption was defined as one (or more) linear or serpiginous mobile cutaneous track(s). The following information was recorded: age, sex, recent travel history, country visited, time from return to clinical onset and presentation, clinical signs, treatment and outcome. All the patients received oral antihelminthic agents, plus topical treatment in one case. Treatment options for CLM in our department include a single dose of oral ivermectin 12 mg weekly until cure, and oral albendazole 400 mg twice daily for three consecutive days.
Five patients were cured with one to three courses of ivermectin (unit dose 12 mg), including one also treated with thiabendazole ointment. Two patients were cured with albendazole 400 mg twice daily for three consecutive days. Lesions of folliculitis took longer to clear than those of creeping eruption.
Folliculitis is an uncommon clinical form of CLM, as only five cases have been reported in the literature. However, it may be more frequent than previously thought. For example, in a 2-year prospective study, CLM was observed in 69 patients, two of whom also had hookworm folliculitis. Folliculitis in a patient returning from (or residing in) an endemic country should lead to consideration of infection by a hookworm (or other nematode), even though bacteria are the most common cause. All the cases of parasitic folliculitis in our series and most of those found in the literature were pruritic, in contrast to most forms due to other microorganisms. The diagnosis of parasitic folliculitis was based on clinical findings alone. Histological studies are unnecessary, but show nematode larvae trapped within the follicular canal, stratum corneum or dermis, together with an inflammatory eosinophilic infiltrate. In three cases, the larvae were identified as Pelodera strongyloides, a free-living nematode belonging to the order Rhabditoidae. In another case of folliculitis the larvae were identified as Ancylostoma caninum, a hookworm. The pathogenesis of parasitic folliculitis may be related to an allergic reaction to the presence of the nematode larva in the follicular canal.
The remaining patient's clinical signs subsided only more than 2 months after presentation. In one case, thiabendazole eradicated the creeping eruption but not the follicular lesions. Our experience is similar. The clinical response to a single 12-mg dose of oral ivermectin was less favourable in our patients with folliculitis that in most other patients with CLM. A single dose of ivermectin cured two of five patients in our series, whereas it usually gives cure rates of 81-100% in CLM. Treatment was repeated until the pruritus disappeared, this symptom being indicative of parasite viability. In conclusion, folliculitis should be added to the dermatological manifestations of CLM. The clinical diagnosis is facilitated by the pruritic nature of the lesions and their association with serpiginous tracks. Treatment is more difficult than in classical forms of CLM. ]

What the heck do the grand Floridian rooms actually look like, I’ve gotten a bunch of conflicting information. The website shows dated red rooms, but I’ve heard they no longer look like that and have a blue subtle Mary Poppins theme now, and the pictures just haven’t been updated. Is that true? Tired of seeing all the panic posts that make me question how many day traders have joined this sub. I have seen some DD posts proving why/how this is so heavily shorted, but I’m regarded. Lets talk about the actual company and prove why this isnt a $1-$100 stock besides a “squeeze”.What I have been able to gather is listed below.

1. Inception 2014
2. Looking at the stock history something dramatic happened in Aug 2023. From what Ive gathered they did a reverse split to get more funds, were sued by shareholders for having fake purchase reservations- lawsuit settled for 7.5mil 2014-2021- not much info I found. Seems like alot of just false promises and poor results?
3. The stock price was driven down and then covid hit where they had purchasing issues.
4. September 2023 Matthias Aydt appointed new CEO
5. October 2023- FFIE hires Shareholder Intelligence Services to investigate illegal trade activities (illegal short selling)z
6. December 2023- Something about Saudi Arabi purchase reservations for 300 cars, and they are now starting request collecting down payments.
7. March 2024- FFIE suing former exec Ding Lei for infringement of trade secrets (probably irrelevant, China steals everything)- but related to the FF-91 model.

From what I can tell. They had an initial big dick CEO, trying to make a name, competing with Tesla, lied about potential buyers to get investors, and crashed the stock + bad timing covid supply chain disruption. I cant find anything on where theyre currently at with production? Is it going well? Ive seen some stuff from really negative YouTubers saying they cant even make rent on new manufacturing plants….. dont really believe it, or care because if we beat the hedgies in the math game, the company could make cars our of crayons and it doesnt matter for the squeeze. Im wondering whats the future of the company looking like? Ive watched reviews and think the FF91 is dope. Ive been in Teslas and theyre not comfortable. FF91 looks like a luxury electric car. Where are they at with manufacturing? Let me know anything I may have read wrong or misunderstood and I’ll edit. I hodl with you.

Dealing with a breakup currently. My ex is now in Europe with his female "best friend", I think they are casually dating. He never posted anything about me in the 3 years we were together. While he's only been with her for 3 days she and him have posted countless photos together, ones where he is holding her and really couple-y. Beyond just blocking them and not looking at these photos what can I do to move on. I'm struggling as I really did love this person and find it heartbreaking that he basically acted like we weren't in a relationship online for 3 years and is being very lovey-dovey with her so publicly. (One of the reasons that lead to our breakup was me feeling like he always hid he was in a relationship with me. For 2 years he was "Single" on facebook and said he would never post about a girlfriend after his last breakup.)

I’ve had a Kobo Clara HD for a few years and have been looking to upgrade for a while, mostly for something waterproof. I’m pretty delighted that they’ve released color models because I know they’ll be a lot better for comics, but I also think I’d like to put magazine back issues on it if they actually functioned well. The PDF reader on my current Kobo is pretty slow and awful to use, but I imagine that’s gotten better with the faster chips in the newer devices. I have no reason to ever use the Libra’s stylus or notation features, but the Google Drive support and physical buttons are nice. My biggest concern between the two is the size - I don’t think 6” sounds great for magazines, but I’m not sure 7” would be that much better. For those of you with either device, do you think magazines are a good experience? If the Libra isn’t great with them either I’m tempted to just get the Clara, but better magazine legibility would definitely help justify the higher cost.

I'm 21, looking for a new group to play with on Monday-Wednesday afternoons. I've been playing for a few years now, got into dnd during covid when my buddies convinced me to try it. Life got busy for us all and we now have different work schudules so now I'm trying to find a new game to play in. We tried to salvage our games for about a year now but I doubt it will happen. I do like to have a drink or smoke while gaming, just to loosen up and have a good fun game.
I tend to be a note taker, I love deep lore & I'd like to believe I'm pretty good at combat without minmaxing that doesn't make sense with background and lore. I prefer homebrew games with everyone being 18+

Look I am all for spoilers (esp since June 13 feels like forever away) but let’s not ruin the vibes? I don’t understand the need to be a shit stirrer and the ruin the lovely rollercoaster we are on. This person maybe referring to the theory that Colin could or could not cheat on Pen with this Ambrosia character but nothing’s happened yet. I LOVE a good theory, but not where it’s intentionally trying to start shit and possibly ruin the community’s experience. If anything, we could all be pleasantly surprised with Ambrosia and could be vital for Polin’s arc. Let’s just enjoy the ride, yes?
PS: I am aware that some spoilers can come from reliable sources and, while we weren’t happy with the news of the brothel scenes, I thought they were quintessential to show Colin’s growth (just my personal opinion). They were also really really brief and didn’t waste that much time so they didn’t bother as I thought they would.

I was wondering if anyone could advise on how difficult it is to manage a fruit bearing olive tree and the amount of fruit it produces. We are starting a large landscaping project at my (California) house and would love to center it around a beautiful olive tree. While there are fruitless varieties, going that route definitely results in a trade off from the inherent beauty that you get with the fruit bearing varieties (like a Sevillano). I can’t find much discussion online about how much fruit they actually produce. I spoke to a nursery who was pushing me towards the fruit bearing variety, however my landscaper is really emphasizing just how much fruit it will produce and it can really mess up the surrounding yard and look rough a lot. Does anyone have any experience with this and could provide their thoughts? Thanks!

I live in Oklahoma City and am being charged with Embezzlement by my former employer. The amount in question is more than $300 but less than $500.
Instead of issuing a citation, I was allowed to leave the store on my own on 3/23 of this year. I heard nothing for over a month then I got a letter in the mail from the OKC municipal court stating I had an active warrant. The letter was issued 5/13 and I received it 5/16.
I called the court and they said to come in to schedule an arraignment hearing and pleaded that I will not go to jail if I do so. Is this true?
They also said the warrant will be dropped if I schedule a hearing.
I intend on pleading Not Guilty at arraignment, but I’m afraid if I do so they’ll put me in jail. Should I fear this?
I can’t afford legal counsel, I was quoted $7500. Is court provided counsel biased in any way?
I’m hoping to be able to just pay a fine and have the charges dropped, how likely is this scenario and what are the next steps I should take?
Note: I have not gone to the court yet so I still have an active warrant
