My current PC, which has a Ryzen 7 3700X cpu & Radeon RX 5700 gpu is rapidly losing performance with it's age. I'm looking for advice on if I need a new one/what to do. My concern should I choose to replace just one or two parts is that I'm unsure what's causing the issues (I know the GPU is having issues) and I'm concerned if I replace it part by part and end up having to do it all anyway then it'll be super expensive and a lot of work. I'm happy to offer more info about what I have/am looking for if needed. I haven't build a computer before, but from what I've read it should be manageable following youtube guides?
What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.
Gaming PC for LoL/Fortnite/Apex and probably bits of other stuff like minecraft/OW etc. I'll also be using it sometimes for work/school running probably mostly java/python code.
When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.
I'm planning to buy with memorial day weekend sales this weekend.
What is your budget for the build?
I'm hoping for around $1400 - $1600, but it can go a bit higher if it would be a big improvement.

There is a nice and informative sheet with a bunch of useful numbers, including about VRMs.
To my current knowledge, at phase config higher number is better, but I don't know what does the divisions, + and x symbols mean.
At the VRM (CPU) column, I understand that higher Amper is better, but I don't know what does the SPS and DrMOS mean, or what is the difference between them. I don't know neither what does the 1H/1L means. There are notes to explain them, but I can't comprehend them.
Also, I don't know what does the MOS heatsink positions mean, or what is the difference between them.
I also welcome explanations about how high numbers/metrics are necessary to run ryzen 9000 or 10000 CPUs stable, and why. Thank you for the help!

Hi everyone! I'm a uni student who's moving into a new flat this year with my friends, and it's all our first time living outside of student accomodation. I was wondering if house warming parties are held in London, particularly in flats - we're international and house warming parties are kinda just a thing in movies to us.
My motive for having a housewarming party is that I really want to make friends with our neighbours, but given we have no reception room and a very small kitchen, a party might not be the best idea (unless it's okay to hold it in a bedroom? Which feels odd). In my mind the only other option is to knock on doors with a gift - is this done in London or will this feel intrusive? Are there any other things we could try?
I think an important thing to note is that the landlord said most of the residents happen to be students too!

Hello everyone. I’m a signed model based in the southwest region of the US. I got scouted last year by a local agency. How I was scouted was because I walked for a non profit organization fashion owned and presented by the same owner who owns the model agency.
Since signing with this agency the only time I did get paid was for the non profit fashion show they hold annually. I got paid bc I walked as a signed model. I do have an editorial high fashion look and get told that all the time. Long story short, all of the shoots I’ve been involved with, I booked them myself. Free of charge of course since they’re collaborations. I know it’s important to be patient but I’d rather be patient with an agency that’s at least putting me out there. Side note: The digitals the agency took of me last year I never received. When I ask it’s always “the edits were bad but we can still send them to you” Never received said digitals.
Is it time to look for a new agency or do I sign another 1 year contract with this one and hope for the best? Thanks in advance for your insights and advice.

I'm giving tactics to every grey as I believe it would make them all more interesting, what with most of them currently only blocking damage in different ways. I know that they would have to be nerfed in some way to keep them balanced with the ones who already have abilities but I haven't thought of how.
T2s:
Pilgrim gets "revelation", shield and heal 2, costs 1 "1 keyword side". Pilgrims gimmick is that none of his sides have any pips, making it harder for him to contribute to most tactics. He also has no direct shielding, instead needing to rely on his stun or having allies with high pips to get value from selfshield. He therefore gets a tactic that is cheap to use and that he himself can contribute to. This tactic lets him block damage directly and can heal pilgrim himself for his stun.
Guardian gets "fend", target ally 1 repel, costs 1 blank Guardian has three really strong shielding sides, 1 mediocre damage side, and 2 blanks. This tactic gives him more reliability as he can turn his blanks into damage and further specializes him in area damage, giving him more of a niche among the greys.
Armorer gets "augment", shield 2 smith, costs 2 shield and 2 damage The biggest reason to pick armorer is for his smith sides(imo). I have always found them just a tad too unreliable/up to chance so he gets a way to convert his other strong sides into a juicy boost. This works really well with Gladiator and Brute who I personally find somewhat underwhelming.
Monk gets "discipline", target ally becomes immune to damage until the end of your turn, costs 1 shield and 1 blank Monk is a fairly strong, all-around useful guy. The only thing lacking is that his potential shielding in a turn is not as strong as some other greys but that is hardly unique to him or a relevant weakness. He gets a tactic that give him more utility, it works exactly like the item Thimble so pain or spikes won't hurt the target but it will not do anything to actual attacks or poison.
Warden gets "ally", shield 2, costs 1 heal. This is just the upgraded version of Defender's tactic in my previous post. Much cheaper as t2 reds come with plenty of utility on their heal sides, making the opportunity cost higher. If it sounds too good remember that it's really just making a hero spend their turn to shield for two.
T3s:
Paladin gets "purify", 1 damage to target ally and inflict self-cleanse, costs 3 any pips Paladin is the most reliable damage dealer of the greys, having three damaging sides, although the damage he does is mostly wasted on high-health enemies. He also has very strong single-target shielding, provided his target is either damaged or poisoned. Paladin is never really that flashy so this tactic can make you feel smarter by negating the damage with his heals and also makes his cleansing more reliable.
Valkyrie gets "sanctuary", shield 5 to all dying allies, costs 5 damage Valkyrie is generally considered weak because he is bad at preventing actual health loss. It may feel good when your Fencer is at 2 hp, getting overkilled by 10, and you just get to negate all of it but someone like Stalwart would have prevented you from getting to that point in the first place. This tactic is restricted to those who are already dying because I wanted to preserve this weakness somewhat(as to keep his identity) but make it not as crippling. Can be useful for things like roulette and also works with Valkyrie's own death wish side if he is dying. I am not too sure if this is balanced or not but I feel like the idea itself is what's most important here.
Keeper gets "sacrifice", redirect all enemy attacks to target and shield 6 vitality, costs 2 "1 keyword" Keeper is a bit hampered by needing others who can shield him and relying on being lucky with enemy targeting(both for repel and because it's mostly pointless to shield his steel sides if he's not taking damage). This tactic lets him make great use of his repel side and when used on himself also greatly boosts his steel. A neat thing is that his "apply selfshield and selfheal" lets you choose who spends their turn for the tactic or not, as those targeted by it no longer have 1-keyword-sides. I think this could be fundamentally absurdly broken in several scenarios and the cost might need to be 3 "1 keyword" sides, but I'm not sure.
Stalwart gets "endeavor", 4 damage, costs 2 shield and 1 blank. Stalwart is very good at shielding, so good in fact, that that's nearly all he does. This skill gives him decent damage if you want to pay the cost, and makes his exert side not feel so wasteful to use.
Stoic gets "one", copy targets left side onto all his sides this turn, costs 2 "1 pip sides" Stoic is really the epitome of all greys. No tricks or gimmicks, just pure, raw stats. I feel a little bad giving him the ability to do anything other than take damage well, but not enough to not do it. At least in my head, this tactic is difficult to use, but the reward is to guarantee a heroes potentially best side. The main idea was for Stoic to get his stun side more often but has many synergies, especially to cheat extra uses from the likes of Agent or Wizard.
In conclusion, these tier 3 tactics might be unfixably broken, as I based them around prince who was designed for a broken one. Thank you for reading.

So for context I am in a long distance marriage and we have been so for about 7 ish months now. I am a 26 M and my wife is a 24 F. The reason we are apart is because she is doing her masters now.
I have done everything humanly possible to make this long distance thing easier on both of us. I try to facetime everyday, I send her good morning texts, I send her voice notes randomly. I send her bouquets of flowers for her birthday or if she's feeling ill. I Uber Eats her food.
This past eid, I send her a giant care package of all the things she likes. Perfume, her favorite makeup stuff. some cute outfits, etc. And I got nothing.
I'm no saying that I do all these things with the expectation that I get stuff back. I just want the acknowledgment and may some effort?
The thing that ticks me off the most is her entitlement. Like I'll miss a facetime call one day, and then I'll get messages from her asking why I missed calling her and I become the villain. Like you have hands. You can click on my name and call me too.
I'm a hopeless romantic and its so painful to be with someone who does not reciprocate the effort or energy or even a fraction of it.

Thank you to anyone who reads this, any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.
I met my ex 1.5 years ago, whom I believe is a soulmate of mine. It took me 1.5 years to get over him, he was my dream guy but we ended on strange notes. Our relationship moved too quickly and I think it was bad timing. our relationship and breakup forced me to grow in such important ways.
Anyway, I only recently fully let him go, and accepted our departing. I've never been happier.
Well, last year, I befriended this guy who I had a very powerful and overwhelming spiritual connection with at a rooftop party by chance. We'd gone on a few dates, but I get my emotional distance as our connection was so strong and it wasn't the right timing and we were just in different spots. Well, every few weeks or months we'd check in, meet etc. We have never had intimacy, because my gut keeps telling me it's not right. not yet. and he has agreed, he does not want to unless we are in love and committed to one another.
I've recently come into town and stayed at his place for a week, this guy is a very kind person. during this week we grew very close, talk for hours and hours every day and well our chemistry and affections for one another in undeniable. He is ready for a real long term partnership. And, for the first time in my life I feel so happy in my life, so content. and I am scared. He told me he sees we could make each other happy, and he could see his life married to me. This week has ended, and we agreed to not see each other for a week so we can think and decide if it's right for us. He told me he wants to clean up any loose ends he has so if/when we decide to be together, there won't be anything lingering on his end.
That got me thinking, even though I have departed from my ex, he lingers in my head and often when I write (I am a writer) I write to him, like he is my muse but for only myself. And, I realized I need to tie my loose ends too.
I want to message my ex, and make sure that we are 100% over. I have dreams of him often, about him coming back, and I get spiritual messages about him. I know we are not 100% over each other. but if I enter this partnership with we can call him A, then I want to enter it without any questions of "what if."

I'm involved in a high combat campaign at a highly optimized table that is currently at level 11 and will go to level 20 (if we survive).
I have a Halfling Path of the Beast Barbarian/Soulknife Rogue that I am concerned won't be viable and effective until the end.
First: level split. I currently want 9 levels in Soulknife for the bonus action teleport and homing strikes, as well as 10 levels in Beast Barb for the ability to try and force foes to use their reactions up and attack one another. I'm torn where that last level should go, but presumably Rogue 10 for a final ASI/Feat. Do you have any strong alternative recommendations?
Second: magic items At later levels, we essentially get our choice of any 1 Legendary magic item, with some exclusions. We can also buy most other rarities of magic items excluding Artefacts, but we are still limited by attunement rules as normal. Note that I am keeping my Str at 16 so that I can top off my Dex and Con for AC and HP, so I plan to use one attunement slot for a Belt of Giant's Strength.
I'm looking for other ways to boost damage on every attack due to this multiclass being able to make 4 attacks per round, but so many items that add damage are geared toward magical weapons, or enhancing attacks with wielded or held weapons. I'm considering the Cape of Enlargement and the Eldritch Claw Tattoo, but I would risk needing several turns' Bonus Actions to set up (especially if I also take the Gift of the Chromatic Dragon feat which is a 'maybe'). Another suggestion in the mix is the Butcher's Bib.
If any material that could be found on DnDBeyond is potentially available (which now includes some 3rd party material as well as all offical material) do you have any interesting magic item suggestions?
And, would you suggest any interesting Legendary options other than the finest Belt of Giant's Strength? I have considered the Diamon Shard Solitaire to have a 'twin' on the field with me, but as we cannot equip any 'summons', I worry that the 16 Strength would hamper it. But what else might I have missed?

No way to say this without doxxing myself - but that’s okay!
I applied to YHS + Chicago this cycle knowing I would reapply next cycle if things did not work out.
I was accepted into UChicago and waitlisted at the other three. I deferred at Chicago and worked an agreement with their admissions team that I could apply to other schools next cycle if UChicago could not support some specific (and unique) financial needs. DM me if curious.
SLS showed a DLS in my portal, Yale sent an email saying their class was full, and Harvard was mostly through their WL admits so I figured all was over this cycle.
So, I sent all three schools (YHS) a polite email thanking them for their time and consideration and letting them know that they were a top choice for me and that I would be reapplying next cycle.
Yale shot me an immediate response thanking me and telling me that they would follow up if they had any additional information.
About a week later I got a call from the Yale admissions team offering me a deferred slot into next year’s class. Obviously I’m shocked and honored. This is one of the craziest moments of my life and I was literally dancing with my wife last night!!!

Obligatory addendum: please do not read this post as saying just spam law schools with thank you notes. I cannot guarantee that will work. Like everyone else on here I cannot say even what worked for me. I can just say that in this universe, with this particular flap of the butterfly’s wing, the things I did worked for me.
If I could say anything, it would be don’t give up hope. The little things can make a difference. Showing grace even in the face of failure means a lot. And you never know how close you are to success. Waitlists and rejections feel like failures - they are binary results. For all you know you were the next person on their list and you just missed the cutoff by one. So, don’t be too hard on yourself!

I'm interviewing with a FAANG company. I previously interviewed for a similar role with the same hiring manager a few years back. I got halfway through the process and turned down further interviews as I accepted another offer. Fast forward a couple years, the same manager is hiring for a similar role and she does remember me and they did mention that the interview process does take time. 3 weeks ago, I received a note from the recruiter that the process is expected to take longer as there a lot of moving parts. I have been following up over the last two weeks. I am interviewing with other firms and I made that clear to the FAANG company but I don't have any offers at hand. What's the best course of action because if received an offer from the FAANG company, this would be my first choice. I don't want them to think I don't care but I also don't want them to think I'm desperate.

I bought a new lot of Mexican silver better stuff still organizing it but keep your eyes peeled this week for some cool pieces.

pt is a 24 year old Black male, 6'3, 226lb, who does not smoke and only drinks occasionally. his only other known medical condition is eczema, which has been a lifelong problem for him. a recent testicular ultrasound revealed a 6mm cyst on the epididymal head of his left testis; there were no other findings of note.
on the 21st of february (2024), pt was exposed to a mystery STI from oral sex with another male [both giving and receiving if that's anything] that seems consistent with syphilis (a single painless spot on his pubic area, lasting about a week; a swollen lymph node in neck; itching, pain, and fissures around the anus; epididymitis; discomfort urinating). however, all syphilis RPR tests administered by his physicians have been negative. he has had four so far: one 8 days after exposure, one 14 days, another at 47, and a fourth at about 81. no other types of syphilis tests have been offered to him so far.
his urinalyses have returned fairly normal with the exception of his bilirubin levels, which have been steadily worsening since april (have slowly gone from 1.1 to 1.6 to 1.8 mg/dL since april 6th). he also consistently shows trace amounts of blood in his urine.
previous attempts to treat his condition with antibiotics (specifically doxycycline, azithromycin, and rocephin; at one point he was also prescribed cipro but that didn't seem to do much) have been successful at alleviating symptoms, but they have always returned within a week or two's time.
this morning, pt was complaining of upper right quadrant pain. the pain reportedly went away with water + a nap, but i'm still worried on his behalf, especially given the heightened bilirubin.
should i drag him to the ER for further evaluation just to be safe?? is there anything else we should be looking for in terms of causes of these symptoms?? thank you in advance for your advice. i've been running myself ragged trying to find a doctor irl whom he can afford + will take his concerns seriously.
