when im meditating in a drowsy state i fall asleep for a bit or get so relaxed and my mind wonders in different things. after a while there is a jolt that brings me back to my senses. get these weird and random scenarios and after around 10 seconds my brain jolts and im back to focusing on my affirmation . I also tried imaging a scene and repeating it on loop . i drifted off again and then the jolt happened again my body also startles a bit. i am affirming "sp loves me, we are together now"

PHOENIX (AP) — Former Arizona Republican Party chair Kelli Ward and at least 11 other people are set to be arraigned in a Phoenix courtroom on conspiracy, forgery and fraud charges stemming from their roles in an effort to overturn Donald Trump’s 2020 election loss in Arizona to Joe Biden.
Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani also is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday, though it’s unclear whether he’ll seek a postponement. Arizona authorities tried unsuccessfully over several weeks to serve Giuliani notice of the indictment against him. Giuliani was finally served Friday night as he was walking to a car after his 80th birthday celebration.
Arizona authorities unveiled the felony charges last month against Republicans who submitted a document to Congress falsely declaring Trump, a Republican, had won Arizona. The defendants include five lawyers connected to the former president and two former Trump aides. Biden, a Democrat, won Arizona by more than 10,000 votes.
The indictment alleges Ward, a former state senator who led the GOP in Arizona from 2019 until early 2023, organized the fake electors and urged then-Vice President Mike Pence to declare them to be the state's true electors. It says Ward failed to withdraw her vote as a fake elector even though no legal challenges changed the outcome of the presidential race in Arizona.
Last week, attorney John Eastman, who devised a strategy to try to persuade Congress not to certify the election, was the first defendant in the case to be arraigned, pleading not guilty to the charges.
Trump himself was not charged in the Arizona case but was referred to as an unindicted co-conspirator.
Arizona is the fourth state where allies of the former president have been charged with using false or unproven claims about voter fraud related to the election.
The 11 people who claimed to be Arizona’s Republican electors met in Phoenix on Dec. 14, 2020, to sign a certificate saying they were “duly elected and qualified” electors and asserting that Trump carried the state. A one-minute video of the signing ceremony was posted on social media by the Arizona Republican Party at the time. The document was later sent to Congress and the National Archives, where it was ignored.
Of eight lawsuits that unsuccessfully challenged Biden’s victory in the state, one was filed by the 11 fake Arizona electors, who had asked a federal judge to decertify the results and block the state from sending its results to the Electoral College. In dismissing the case, the judge concluded the Republicans had “failed to provide the court with factual support for their extraordinary claims.” Days after that lawsuit was dismissed, the 11 participated in the certificate signing.
Those set to be arraigned Tuesday are Ward; Tyler Bowyer, an executive of the conservative youth organization Turning Point USA; state Sen. Anthony Kern; Greg Safsten, a former executive director of the Arizona Republican Party; Robert Montgomery, a former chairman of the Cochise County Republican Committee; Samuel Moorhead, a Republican precinct committee member in Gila County; Nancy Cottle, who in 2020 was the first vice president of the Arizona Federation of Republican Women; Loraine Pellegrino, past president of the Ahwatukee Republican Women; Michael Ward, an osteopathic physician who is married to Ward; attorneys Jenna Ellis and Christina Bobb; and Michael Roman, who was Trump’s 2020 director of Election Day operations.

Hi everyone!
Yesterday, I started lifting weights again at home. I tried with 18 kg (40 lb) and on the second rep, something happened to my left arm/shoulder. It felt as if my whole arm (biceps and shoulder) got very tired suddenly, while my right arm was doing perfectly fine. I managed to do 10 reps, but afterwards, I reduced the weight to 12 kg (26 lb) so I could do up to 20 reps (though I still felt something wasn't right).
I completed the rest of the exercises (3 types of push-ups and chest pullovers) without any pain, though I still felt "something" in my left shoulder and biceps.
The rest of the day was okay. I felt something in my shoulder, but it wasn't anything alarming.
The problem is today. I feel pain when pressing on a specific part of my shoulder, and it doesn't feel right. I've attached an image showing where the pain is located:

I have an appointment with my physiotherapist this Thursday evening to get this checked out. However, I would like to hear your thoughts on what it could be and, if possible, any recommendations you have. Should I rest completely, or can I still do some exercises like biceps, back, legs, etc.?

“If you can’t see yourself joining the Nazi party, then you haven’t studied them enough” or something along those lines.
It horrifies me that the first reaction I have to joining a protest or teaching street medic courses is “what happens to my pension if they find out?”
It’s not my life or livelihood that’s on the line anymore. It’s my wife. It’s the life I’ve built (for the third time).
I can’t imagine making those decisions if I had kids.
Is that cowardice? I think it is. Is it wrong? Objectively so.
Will it happen more often than not? Absolutely.
I don’t think I have the courage to stand for my principles if there’s real consequences to the ones I love.
And I don’t think a lot of you do, either.
And that scares me.

I don't know what I can do anymore, as i get the bug whit raid not spawning really often without any error or clue, I is hard to test whit different mod list because i take a long time to tested. Maybe there are some more obvious problem on my mod list that someone better informed cloud spot? if something i deleted my user folder and content folder on steam and download everything again.

2024.05.21 12:55 Profile_999 Today is my 12th day for keto and 2nd day of period

25f starting weight 62kg and 154cms .now 60kg. I lost those 2 kg in first 5 days.thought it's water weight . after that no change in scale..it's around 60.10 to 60.20 every day from 5th day.i thought it's about period after seeing some posts here.but today is second day I didn't saw any change.i had food in calorie deficit I thought my body just holding water once I got period I loose it but nothing happened I am just same at 60. What's wrong? I workout every day one day rest and eat 500 calories deficit.. Any advice?

2024.05.21 12:55 BlacksmithPristine88 I often get problem with raid or rarer other event not spawning on Cassandra but I never get any specify error i debug log, maybe someone with better knowledge could look at my debug log and my mod list and give some clou what is causing the problem

I don't know what I can do anymore, as i get the bug whit raid not spawning really often without any error or clue, I is hard to test whit different mod list because i take a long time to tested. Maybe there are some more obvious problem on my mod list that someone better informed cloud spot? if something i deleted my user folder and content folder on steam and download everything again.

Object fades out mysteriously over time in cycles render?
I cant really find anything on this online but this has been a recurring issue for me. Sometimes a random object I add into my render will start to fade out gradually for every cycle. I'm on an M3 Max Macbook Pro running Blender 4.1 but this has occurred on 4.0 and before as well.

Hi all, our son (6) really has upset us. We have tried to love him in every possible way.
Every morning, it takes 10-20 minutes to ask him brush his teeth and do a wee. If no one asks him to, he literally will not do it. It's been 2-3 years, every morning and sometimes before bed we have to nag about basic daily routine. Sometimes when we remind him for a few more times, he gets angry.
Always, we start out very gently asking him to do what he has to do (brush teeth, go have breakfast, homework, or we have to leave the house on time etc). If he doesn't listen, I would repeat myself after 2 minutes. I will repeat myself for 5 times before I will tell him "I am going to have to yell if you do not listen to me. I'm not going to repeat myself for the 6th time". Sometimes he would listen after the final warning but sometimes we'll have to resort to yelling. He'd start crying and everyone will feel shxt about it afterwards.
Whatever he wants to do, bowling, softplay, playground, we always try our best to accomodate it. We buy him lots of toys and spend a lot of time with him.
Yesterday he really started to break me. Right after his school, I thought I wanted to let him relax a bit and have some fun as he has done quite well at some tests last week at school. I offered him to either play chess with me or we can go to the playground. He wanted to go to the playground. We even persuaded his friend, who would have otherwise gone home, to come with us. I chose spending time with him at playground over finishing my own work, which I had to continue after he went to bed.
Spent 2 hours at playground, went home, time for dinner. Both my wife and I gently asked him to go wash his hands for dinner because mother has kindly cooked whlie we were outside at the playground. He just lay on the floor, playing with his toys. Didn't want to wash hands, didn't want to listen to us. After 3 minutes, we asked him again as it was getting late (7pm). Nope, just ignored us. After 3 more minutes, both of us asked him again, patiently explaining to him that he really had to start dinner as it was getting late and he needed a shower too after sweating so much. Nope. Just ignored us. I might have given him 10 more minutes if he could calmly explain to me why he really wanted to play with that toy. But nope, just silence, no reply, not listening.
I said 15 more seconds and we'd really have to have dinner. No one was yelling, no one was angry. When I said, 5,4,3,2,1, he threw a massive tantrum, covered his ears and made a really angry and sad face as if the whole world has violated him.
I still didn't yell. I just said to him, fine, if you don't wanna have dinner, you'll have not dinner. I said I was really disappointed. Then he started crying and said he wanted dinner and finally went to wash his hands. It was at that moment I really started to dislike him as a person. I know he is just a child but I feel like he is not appreciative of all the love given to him and things we have done FOR and WITH him.
I was thinking to myself, maybe we have been giving him so much unconditional love and care, he knows he will get away with anything he does to us. He was stomping on our kindness, tolerance and love. He doesn't care about us AT ALL. I even start to worry that he will become one of those teenagers who wreck things or even physically hurt their parents because "my mother doesn't let me do my favourite computer game".
We have had many "talks" with him already, explaning to him why we do what we do.
I honestly do not know what to do. I feel very discouraged. I can't help but think if we should start to love him less until he proves he deserves it.

I have a situation I'd like to get your input on.
Yesterday, a different company than the usual one came to our site (Cement Factory) to splice a textile conveyor belt. During the process, I had a discussion with their engineer about the necessity of polishing all the rubber off the conveyor belt before splicing.
I argued that it wasn't necessary to polish everything off, but rather to ensure that the inter-ply rubber is well spread out and that the area is free from environmental dirt. However, this led to a disagreement with the engineer from the other company, who insisted that it was crucial to polish everything. He has over 10 years of experience in this specific field, whereas I am just reaching my third year of experience on maintenance area.
I ultimately backed down from the discussion, given his extensive experience compared to mine. I don't usually back down in such discussions, and now I'm second-guessing my decision to let him proceed as he wanted.
Simply because I didn't see any care in making sure that there wasn't any contamination, the other company would always make a tent around the area, and I've seen that they don't polish everything from the conveyor belt, leaving a small layer of the previous rubber.
Do you think it is absolutely necessary to polish all the rubber off the conveyor belt before splicing? Am I being too "by the book"? Can anyone share any experience ?

2024.05.21 12:51 Old-Shower-1993 Advice needed. I have to redo my entire probation, should I just eff it and quit?

I'm looking for some advices on how I act to this. I've been an unpaid trainee for 4 months and just finished 2 months of probation as a Game Artist at a small start up company. At the end of a total of 6 months being here, they want me to redo my probation period.
There are a few reasons on why I didn't want to keep working here at all.
First of all, the wage is ridiculously low. For reference, the starting wage is a little below minimal wage, hence my probation is ~70% of my country's minimal wage for a job like 3D Game Artist. I had a job as a waiter before this one that paid the same amount for 4 hour shift, but being a game artist is my passion and I thought I had to start somewhere. It's just ridiculous to me to compare a high key tech job to a waiter's wage and it turned out to just pay the same. The company promised that the starting is a bit low but it will get better based on performance, but until this point I highly doubt it. They said everyone in this company have to do double probation period just like I did, and they said my work is good but lacking proficiency, hence I have to redo another 2 months. I barely survived the probation wage because I live with my family, but financially it gets worse and eventually I will suffer. So far a have gone under 6 months of very low income and entirely relied on my parents.
Secondly, I don't think the work load given to all the employee is realistic. Everyone in my office work 10-12 hours work days, 5 days a week, that leaving before 8pm is abnormal when on paper, clock out is 6pm. Everyone seems to get used to that, but it had been affecting my mental health negatively. I usually leave at 9-10pm on almost everyday of the week. But I still barely meet the desired proficiency.
I love the job itself, the company not so much. It's a small start up with that "family" feel to it if you know what I'm saying. I've learned a lot about the industry during the past 6 months. If I just quit it right now, I will be unemployed for god knows how long, all the work that I have done for 6 months couldn't be used in my portfolio at all and I need to make a whole new portfolio to apply somewhere else, which I will need some time to do it. What should I do?

The major weakness of the (otherwise awesome) first simultaneous movement iteration was the GM/enemy's ability to move away from Heroes. There's no incentive for the GM to delay/play footsie, as it just lets Heroes bank resources, but it is still annoying if the GM is shifting away from you to go after your teammate.
After more workshopping, here's the new round loop I came up with:
  1. Heroes Ready/Draw (10 seconds; if players not finished, start next phase anyways, they can use it for extra time)
  2. Heroes Move (1 minute)
  3. GM Faces (10 seconds)
  4. Heroes Attack (no time limit, clockwise order)
  5. GM Moves (1 minute)
  6. Heroes Face (10 seconds)
  7. GM Attacks (no time limit, any enemy order)
I thought there might be some elegance lost in splitting up the movement and not having Heroes and GM teams move back-to-back. But the only inefficiency added is an extra "GM Face" step, so 10 extra seconds in order to avoid a lot of the potential frustration.
I think this is also easier to remember, because now it's basically HERO STUFF --- ENEMY STUFF, or OFFENSE --- DEFENSE sorta thing. So while it's ever-so-slightly longer, the parity will probably make things run smoother and thus faster anyways.
You've got a maximum of 2.5 minutes for everything in a round except for Hero attacks- generally the most exciting part when everyone is paying attention- and GM attacks.
I find that GM Attack/Hero Defense tends to be the most frustrating part of the game for me, as players stall and stutter thinking they've always got some way of avoiding hits, like taking any damage whatsoever is a personal affront... I'm grousing, but this is something I am working to improve by making weapon abilities probably a bit different, particularly the defensively-flavored ones. Maybe more re-rolls, to make the math a bit more opaqe and make proc'ing weapon abilities a bit more "gut instinct-y". (Let Stunts be the real hard-nosed controlled strategery stuff.)
Working on the layout/language/icons to hopefully help with this too.
I might also try and find some kinda gamey way to speed this up. Like idk, maybe a tiny little bell on the dice tray that the attacker dings to signal "omg hurry the f up and do something in the next few seconds or else this attack is over and take your damage". Dumb stuff like that can sometimes work pretty well.
In any case, I'll just re-iterate that this is a massive leap forward no matter what. Literally improves everything from the teamwork/strategy to speed of play to just genuine fun. As long as you have a reference card handy to walk you through the phases it is easy-peasy lemon-squeezy.

The above is the accuracy of my current linear regression model.
Ignore the naysayers. If a big crash is potentially coming,I will issue warning here as long as I am still investing in the market. Market timing is possible. If I don't expect a big crash, any crash will be shallow and short lived such as COVID crash, march, 2020.
Other than blackswan crashes, the depth of bear market bottom can be predicted once the downtrend is confirmed but when is the bottom is unknown. I don't have a system to predict that yet. I think I can get a second formula to predict that as well.
TQQQ will be the only ticker and last ticker I own before I move on from investing. It can be another 5 to 10 years. My goal is make back my losses from indvidual stocks , plus some more then move on because I don't want regrets in life.
How about I give warning like this: (Anything less than 50% drop in TQQQ is not concerning.) Level 1: potential 50% drop in TQQQ Level 2: potential 80% drop in TQQQ Level 3: potential 90% drop in TQQQ

Background
My partner and I have been saving into a lifetime ISA for the last few years to purchase a house. At the end of 2022 we decided it was a good time to go ahead with a house purchase. We shopped around and found a nice new build in the first phase of a housing development. We were under the assumption it would take 6-8 months to complete due to what we had been told by the developer and the estate agent.
6 months passed, then a year passed and so on, we are still waiting. It turned out there were some legal issues with the developer's laying of the road. I'm unsure of specifics. Anyway, this lead to a great delay. This gave us some time to think, and we have decided we would like to live abroad (for at least 1 year, but with the possibility of it being permanent).
We have around £55k total between our lifetime ISAs for the deposit and the house has an agreed sale price of £275k. This remains unpaid until the developer can sort their legal issues. Right now I am only out £1k for the new build reservation fee, and thankfully not my entire deposit.
In the meantime, the developer has started building the second phase of the development. Another identical property (with less land) is now sale agreed for £295k, £20k more than we have an agreement to buy ours for.
Some other caveats is we have kitted out the house with upgrades as it is a turnkey new build. So if and when the purchase does happen, we will be paying £275k and an additional £12k for upgraded flooring, kitchen etc.
I'm really just looking for some thoughts, experiences and opinions here.
Is it worth buying this house when it is possible for £287k total, and then reselling it immediately for a higher price of £295k (or possible more due to higher quality finishing)? Will the price of the mortgage per month (~£1k) and fees offset any of the profit I could potentially make if the sale takes some time?
Or would I be better letting my lifetime ISA grow with interest and if I ever come back to the UK use it then?

So, i am a practically recent student started on spring 2024. I have done these 3 courses, ISYE6501 on micromaster , and CSE6040,MGT8803 on spring, got an A on all and want to share my opinion on them.
Also i am right now taking Simulation and MGT6203 any tips for them?
ISYE6501: My first class and my favourite from these 3, The professor was amazing and the class was the right one for introduction. The concepts are too general and i really love the ideas and the thinking behind the teaching methods, not focusing on the theory but on the practical use of the concepts learned. The homeworks and peer grading is strange, you will more likely get 90% with barely some work but it's comepletly hard to get an 100% you need a very good presentation not really matters what work you done , it's all about prospective of other students. The exames where tricky and some questions very strange stated, like they wanted you to get tricked. Midterm 1 was the hardest one while the next became easier each time. I would suggest to start studying early, and DON'T focus on the proofs and math types but try to understand how to use each model and what happens if you change a variable or what's the purpose of it? Also quizlet flashcards were a very big help. ( also the R part on homeworks was easy not really need to learn something complex)
MGT8803: Really don't like the many subjects in one class format, neither the every 3 weeks test . But to tell you the truth, everyone said too much to learn and such a memory class, i have a bad memory and got a 97% overall with average studying. Finance and accounting are the hard stuff, Finance was pretty hard to learn and put a lot of effort, accounting was the first class and was too much to learn in short period of time. But the exams are fairly easy, and the rest of the classes are like 4-5 hours studying per week and you are good to go. Watch the TA and professor recordings and you will be ready for most midterms and actually have a good idea of what's going to happen. Also Bob Mayers on supply chain is my favourite teacher till now , absolutely love this guy the live sessions with him were amazing. Overall easy class , with 2 hard subjects, study early for accounting and finance and use excel and learn how to solve every exercise from the self assesments and you will have at least a 80%.
CSE6040: Professor was good and when he did the classes actually had much fun watching them but the rest classes were blunt and not very informing about what we have to learn. This class was hard, you need to learn to be good on python , actually good not just copy paste master and you need to learn how to have a programming thinking. The midterm 1 was with average 10 so that's tell you enouth , second midterm they screwed up with the long memory and lagging issues and they put 100% SQL problems so that didn't go well but they did a generally curve. The last midterm was a little rough but for someone with no background python knowledge , i scored a 100% overall so that means if you study enough you can too. But be careful, this class need time commitment. The TAs were amazing and very helpful, the best on all classes till now. Also they had these bootcamp sessions every week that they teached and show step to step every coding needed to succed so you have no excuse that you didn't know how to solve something, also they hint many times what's important for the upcoming midterm on these sessions , so unless you are a pro programmer WATCH THEM,and also solve all the past midterms and homeworkds available and you will be on the go for an easy A.
