Hello! I'm a non-EU international student(I'm still in highschool) that is interested in studying in Lithuania. Even though I'm not quite sure yet, I'm interest in fields similar to CS. I'm in a kind of abusive situation, so this is some kind of a lookout for escape for me, but I'm also genuinely interested in this country. (Idk it just seems super cool pls dont stone me if im horrifically wrong)
My grades are pretty great, at %98~ so far, i am willing to learn Lithuanian(im really curious about it, if anyone has free resources let me know even though its off topic hjkgkjdkk)
I've saved up some money, although i doubt it would be enough at all. I'm trying to save up most of my money from a government scholarship im getting, but as i said im in a bad enviroment and sometimes have to pay for my own basic needs. If you know of any scholarships i could possibly get, let me know?

As you know, Read is accused of murdering her boyfriend, BPD cop John O’Keefe, by drunkenly running him over in a snowstorm in January 2022.
His body was found outside the home of another BPD officer, who has since sold the house, gotten rid of his phone and dog and abruptly retired from the job, not that there’s anything wrong with that.
How screwed up is this case? Well, the feds are all over it like white on rice.
Read’s defense attorneys have said the G-men’s accident-reconstruction experts have concluded that O’Keefe couldn’t possibly have been killed by a car.
Then there are all those texts that haven’t been “mistakenly” deleted…
The state’s lead investigator is thisclose to the Hibernian hillbillies who are up to their eyeballs in this mess.
According to opening statements, State Trooper Michael Proctor’s first thought when he was assigned the case was to text his Canton high-school buddies. He told them he was already searching online for nude photos of Karen Read.
Proctor is now under investigation by MSP Internal Affairs — if only because it’s the feds who discovered his texts, rather than the corrupt Staties themselves.
How will Proctor do on cross-examination? Do you remember an LAPD detective by the name of Mark Fuhrman?

I’m graduating my Masters in Finance soon from one of the target schools, hence will start to look for an internship or full time job in this field in randstad (Amsterdam/Den Haag/Rotterdam etc). Since Im still looking around, anything M&A, financial analyst or PE VC.
However, it has been hard since Im an international student with limited proficiency in Dutch and my GPA is just around 7.5-8 out of 10.
Heard some people earning somewhere around €55k/year or even more at entry level. Therefore, I am hoping to gather more information from this sub to have a general salary expectation.

I am currently a contractor for a federal agency and have been so since Late 2021.
At the end of 2022 the contracting company I was with, to their surprise, lost the contract with the federal agency I work for. They were applying for a 5-year extension rather than the normal 6-month extension these companies normally get, and I guess whatever amount they were asking for the agency didn't agree with so they dropped them last minute in place of a new contracting company. - This is further solidified by the fact that my recruiter from the previous contracting company texting me asking who the new contracting agency is and how much they're paying me, which I never responded to.
The pay I was offered for the new company was abysmal to be frank. It was a $10,000 pay cut. Given that I live in a high COL area and my position involving a lot of travel around the state I told them this new pay would be impossible to work with. I already wasn't making much to begin with but it was somewhat livable. My new pay is not.
The recruiter told me over the phone to just sign the papers since they needed to get the paperwork filed ASAP, and that they'll handle getting me my former pay rate before I'm officially back on. Absolutely major mistake on my end to not get that in writing because when I contacted the recruiter after my first check they played dumb about the conversation we had over the phone. "Oh it says here on the papers you signed that this is the pay rate you agreed to, if there's an issue we can talk to the CEO." - I knew I was fucked from that moment and got played.
I'm a year and half in with this new agency and have seen 0 raises. I did ask, but was told that decision has to be made by a specific person at the federal agency and that the contracting company doesn't have the ability to provide raises.
Unfortunately, said person at the federal agency has a lot going on in their personal life right now, so getting me higher pay is pretty damn low on their list of priorities right now, and I feel like I'd be overstepping my boundaries trying to contact them directly.
I tried contacting my manager at the federal agency but my email was ignored. Which I don't blame my manager for since they probably have to very careful about how they respond to everything I said.
I get that the government is cheap, and I was told that the new contracting agency I signed on with basically got it because they accepted the lowest offer the gov made. They are hoping to get a 5-year extension at the end of the year, but I was told by a supervisor at the federal agency that that's not going to happen, and that it never happens. They'll just dump the company off once they ask for too much money and repeat the process taking on a new company that accepts the lowest offer.
Am I just SOL? I had to reiterate several times that I am not asking for a raise, just my former pay. I am seriously lost as to how my pay goes down but I'm expected to travel upwards of 700 miles upon request. I've heard FTE's refuse to travel for their managers for significantly less distances under 100 miles.
My manager has told me to apply for direct hire previously, but the jobs related to my position have

• an insane amount of applicants (probably won't hear anything back for a year or more)
• mysteriously "close" / not hiring right after the application period ends
• are open for like 1-3 days which I'm assuming is set up for a pre-selected internal applicant. I'm pretty sure contractors can't apply to jobs that say internal applicants only?

Only one other agency got "back" to me. I made it to the assessment test phase which I didn't do once I saw the job was overnight. I'm kinda kicking myself for that one since it had a $35,000 pay bump.

I’m posting this to hopefully get some help/advice. Sorry it’s so long!!
My issues all began after UTI-like symptoms in December 2023 after sex. This was a common thing for me after sex as I would frequently get UTI-like symptoms and just treat it with antibiotics (I never actually tested for UTIs 😣 but was certain it was because I knew how it “felt”). In the months before this I was also using feminine wash and wipes daily which I’ve read can cause irritation.
After treating this UTI in dec-23, it felt like the antibiotics didn’t totally get rid of my symptoms. Over the next 2 weeks, I was dealing with burning when urinating, urge/frequency, waking up several times in the night feeling like I needed to pee even though I made sure I didn’t drink a lot before sleeping and used the toilet before, eventually this developed into occasional bed wetting too (I’m 21!!). Intercourse with my boyfriend became painful with burning at the entrance and an inflamed vestibule at 12 o’clock around urethra area, leading to me either immediately stopping or avoiding sex. I developed pangs/shooting feelings of internal itch - when walking I’d literally have to stop and crouch down or apply pressure. Vulvar itch developed too on my labia majora. This completely destroyed my life, I couldn’t even walk let alone go to the gym or work in the office (worked from home a lot more) - my mental health was at an all time low.
I’ve had SO MANY GP, gynaecologist and sexual health consultations. I’ve done STI, thrush, BV, diabetes and urine (dip, culture, MSU) tests. A vaginal ultrasound which is all clear. My vulvar skin has been checked by sexual health nurses and 2 senior consultants (gynae, GUM) - all normal.
After 4 months in March-23, my GP diagnosed me with Vestibulitis/vestibulodynia. I have been taking Amitriptyline since. The first dose (10mg) immediately relieved my urinary issues!! I am currently on 30mg and using lidocaine ointment (5%) nightly, and lots of lube for sex - this has enabled me to have sex, often with mild-no pain. Internal itch is gone too.
The thing which has not been relieved at all is itchy labia majora 😩. Since January, I have been washing and applying an emollient only, using sensitive laundry detergent, cotton underwear and sleeping without underwear. The itch is sometimes worse at night but I think that’s because I’m less distracted. In April I took antibiotics for Group B Strep that was found on my vaginal swab but this just worsened my symptoms, my labia were extremely inflamed, swollen and red, labia majora itch was so bad. I took probiotics and applied hydrocortisone which helped. I have continued taking probiotics.
I have also been on a low estrogen oral contraceptive pill for 2 years. Since the amitriptyline has helped for most symptoms I’m guessing it is irritated nerves (vestibule is red at 12 o’clock). However, I still have labia majora itching and my boyfriend noticed that my labia majora looks redder than it used to be and my labia minora look more ‘dehyrdated’, slightly browner in colour. Could this itching, dehydrated appearance be hormonally-mediated? All my doctors have sort of shut down the hormonal idea when bringing it up.. either way I have stopped my pill. I also only recently told my GP I had a few episodes (5 in 3 months) of bed wetting before starting the amitriptyline and he seemed quite concerned so has booked me in for an ultrasound of my bladder and a spinal MRI to “cover all bases”.
Sorry for such a long post, I just wanted to get everything in there. I’d appreciate any advice, similar experiences etc. 🥰

I've installed batocera v5.25 on an old asus laptop with intel atom. Aside from the fact that it doesn't want to install on the internal HDD (forces me to use the external installation device), after copying a set of bios and roms nothing chage. Doesn't appear more consoles nor new games on the default ones. I've tried selecting both the internal and external storage and copying many times. The pack is specifically for v5.25, thought I'll try more packs, but wanted to share my problem searching for its source and possible solution.

Aeon is very close to declaring itself RC2 (Release Candidate 2), the last stage expected before being considered Released and ready for everyone.
Aeon now has totally new installation images, using a totally new installer ‘tik’. These images are built and released using the openSUSE Factory process like Tumbleweed and MicroOS
Before declaring these images as RC2 I’d like to be more confident there are no stupidly scary bugs, so I’d like to invite brave folks to test the RC2 Candidate and file bugs in the next few days

Aeon requires UEFI hardware or an UEFI VM with at least 40GB disk space. Any VM will need to be configured with at least two disk images, one containing the installer and one for the installation to write to.
Users who install this to their laptops will not need to reinstall once Aeon reaches RC2 and Release.. though the new installer also makes it very smooth to reinstall.
The installer is designed be imaged to a USB Stick. It’s important to use an imager that doesn’t alter the image. Impression and dd are good, Ventoy and Fedora Media Writer seem not.

Your name is Cory. You go to explore the ruins, inviting your friends Clyde and Jack to come along with you.
A large sinkhole has formed underneath the building in the show stage, leaving the place in ruins and mostly caving in, especially in the middle of it.
INTRODUCTION CINEMATIC
You arrive there at 11:30 PM, and you text Clyde and Jack to come. They say that they will be there by 12:00 AM. You then walk in, and you explore the place, and then you enter the security office at 11:59 AM. You then get a text from Clyde saying that he is almost there, and that he gave Jack a ride, as well.
NIGHT 1 - It is now officially 12:00 AM. The building has entered it's lockdown state, not letting anyone or anything get in.. or out. You run to look at your phone, and then you very quickly connect it to the barely functioning security cameras in the building, and once you go onto the Show Stage camera, you will see Moltenstein emerge from the old sinkhole, who is a melted together fusion of the extremely rotted Bingo and Blossom animatronics.
DIALOGUE: What even was that thing?! I have to get out of here! This bulletin board right here says that lockdowns can take 14-21 days to end?! 14-21 DAYS?! It's okay.. I can do this. I brought my portable wireless charger for my phone. I just need to get that.. thing... away from me.
Moltenstein will sometimes appear at one of your doorways. You have a left doorway, a right doorway, and an opened ceiling vent. Turn off your phone's flashlight if you see it, in order to get it not to kill you, and activate a nearby camera's flashlight in order to attract it towards that camera's location.
There are only 6 functioning cameras. They are all the Show Stage, New Lobby, Left Hall Entrance, Right Hall Corner, and the Dining Area.
The Show Stage is where Moltenstein will emerge from. It will then make it's way towards the New Lobby, Left Hall Entrance, or the Dining Area.
The Dining Area's camera is broken, forcing it to face the right side hallway, where there is a vent entrance nearby.
All of the cameras have an internal flashlight that was applied during the investigation of the premises right before it's closing. These internal flashlights all work surprisingly well on the still functional cameras, and they are good for attracting light sensitive animatronics nearby. Moltenstein is very, very sensitive to bright lights.
Your phone's flashlight will always be on by default. Hold down CTRL in order to shut off your phone's flashlight, making it incredibly hard to see, but stopling Moltenstein from killing you, and sometimes even making it leave.
Your phone will lose 1% battery power every 2 seconds (you instead will lose 1% of your phone's battery power every 5 seconds whenever your flashlight is turned off..). Using a camera's internal flashlight will make it lose an extra 3% of it's battery power.. immediately. You can recharge it to get an extra 35% but this takes roughly 5 seconds to do......
NIGHT 2 - Ugh.. I need to get out of here! I am starting to see things. I can't do this anymore, come on!! Why me??? It's whatever.. Clyde and Jack called me this morning, and they said that they were worried. I told them about my situation, and they said that they have notified the authorities, but they didn't believe them. Those people really think that this place is fake. How funny of them...
Memory Citrus and Memory Lizzy can now be seen. These are just hallucinations, however. If you ever see the original Citrus flying through the Dining Area, put down your phone quickly, or Memory Citrus will jumpscare you, causing for you to throw your phone onto the ground in panic, attracting Moltenstein towards the light, giving him a 20% chance to kill you after somewhere in betweenn 7.26310-8.54790 secondssss.
If you ever see the original Lizzy standing in the middle of the lobby, put your phone down quickly, otherwise Memory Lizzy will appear floating in front of both of your doorways, and all of your cameras, making you unable to see them, all while you lose 1% of your power every 0.552 seconds. This effects lasts.. just about..... 10 seconds. And yes, this does cause your phone's flashlight to glitch out as well, luring Moltenstein to your location.
NIGHT 3 - This has to be the last night.. Surely the police have realized that I have very suddenly gone missing... Right? Please, just let this end. No more!
Memory Buttercup can now sometimes appear in one of your doorways. Shine your phone's flashlight at her in order to make her go away, or else, she will jumpscare you very suddenly, causing for you to have a heart attack.. and... well, die.
Memory Caesar and Memory Chuck seek to both be always found together now, and they can now sometimes appear in one of your doorways. Pull out your phone and look at it in order to deter them away from the security office that you are hiding inside of.
NIGHT 4 - Hey, hey! It's me, Jack! I just wanted to tell you that Clyde called the police... yet again.. and now they are starting to take us WAY more seriously! They said that they are attempting to locate your phone.. But it needs to stay charged up to at least 50% from now (12 AM) up until 6 AM, or we will not able to locate you, AND YOU WILL DIE. You gave us the wrong directions for what reason, anyway, you idiot?!
If your phone's battery drops down below 50%, you will be immediately just.. killed by Moltenstein.
NIGHT 5 - Hey, hey! It's me, Jack! We got your location! The police are headed there, now... Let's go, man! You're gonna make it home, by tonight!!! But.. You need to stop yourself from using the camera's built-in internal flashlights. Apparently, the cameras share a union power generator system, hence why they still work, and they only have about.. 8 charges left. It is pretty crazy, actually, right??? So just.. be careful, dude. Bye, now!!!,,,
If you use the camera flashlights 8 times, they will be disabled, and Moltenstein will be immediately teleported to your door, and he will kill you after approximately 2.5-3.5 seconds.
NIGHT 6 - Listen, man. I'm sorry, okay? But you entering that establishment has awakened and set free the mess in there, and I cannot afford to be chased down by that thing... You see, my grandpa was at that place for a re-evaluation of it's safety.. for... an incident. And that was not even his first time there! I'm sorry.. But you will not be making it out of there alive. I have released an overwhelming amount of a special secret gas recipe into the building, causing your hallucations to feel the most real possible, meaning that they have a 50-50 chance of giving you a heart attack and.. well, kill you. I also adjusted the union power usage to only allow for 6 camera flashes, and.. now, you must also always keep your phone charged. You can NOT recharge it. Have fun, Cory.
(This night ends at 4 AM, as the police and Clyde will break into the building and save you at that time.. exactly.)
ALL ENDINGS
Good Ending - During Nights 1-5, keep your phone's battery above 30%, and do not ever use any more then 6 camera flashes in each night. This will give you access to the Old Lobby, where you will find Buttercup, Citrus, Lizzy, Caesar, Chuck, and an unused Endoskeleton during the Night 6 Escape Scene. You will then get the option to scrap or take with you each and every single one of them as you walk up to them, letting them rest now as nothing but legends if you scrap them all. You will then see a scene of Jack getting trapped inside of the building, right as you guys escape...
Bad Ending - Follow Jack's instructions, and leave with Clyde and the police on Night 6 without making any discoveries. You will then see a scene of Jack escaping the building, right as you guys escape...
Happy Ending (Canon) - During Nights 1-5, keep your phone's battery above 30%, and do not ever use any more then 6 camera flashes in each night. This will give you access to the Old Lobby, where you will find Buttercup, Citrus, Lizzy, Caesar, Chuck, and an unused Endoskeleton during the Night 6 Escape Scene. You will then get the option to scrap or take with you each and every single one of them as you walk up to them, but if you take them all with you, you will then see the location rebuilt with the recovered and repaired Bingo, Blossom, Citrus, Buttercup, Lizzy, Caesar, Chuck, and the brand new Tropico The Toucan animatronics. Tropico The Toucan is an amazing newly built counterpart friend for the now happy Citrus The Toucan animatronic character.

Could this itching, dehydrated appearance be hormonally-mediated? All my doctors have sort of shut down the hormonal idea when bringing it up.. either way I have stopped my pill. I also only recently told my GP I had a few episodes (5 in 3 months) of bed wetting before starting the amitriptyline and he seemed quite concerned so has booked me in for an ultrasound of my bladder and a spinal MRI to “cover all bases”.
Sorry for such a long post, I just wanted to get everything in there. I’d appreciate any advice, similar experiences etc. 🥰

For sale is a like new Green Thorn F3NS CD M390. I am the only owner. Has been cleaned and lubed but otherwise has sat around. Only "issue" is the detent is a little on the weaker side. I prefer a stiff detent. It still flips great, just not as hard as other knives. I'm sure it can be adjusted if it even matters as I know I am particular about certain things. I just have too much going on to fiddle with it and I need to downsize anyway. Bought on sale, I'm offering it much less than even that price. Comes with pouch and screw tool.

I (22 F) was the maid of honour for my friend's (F) wedding, along with 2 other bridesmaids (Anna and Jess). Note: I was not friends with the other bridesmaids, as they were the bride's friends from elsewhere.
The bride was not involved in the wedding/hens planning process as we wanted the activities as a surprise, and would also be paying for the bride's head for all activities. Our agreed plan/budget was $500 each. However, Anna suggested changing the plan to do a weekend trip, increasing the budget to $1,000 each factoring accommodation, food, etc. (paying for bride)
I raised my concerns with the bridesmaids bc I felt stressed dropping $1,000+ in one go for one wedding, as I do not have a fulltime job (Im desperately looking for one). I only work casually 2 days a week. I also had to use the money I'd saved for the wedding on a family emergency. The bridesmaids however, work full-time but are renting their housing.
When I brought up my stress to the bridesmaids, they tried investigating my financial details, aggresively asking me if I paid rent, what I spend my money on, why and how often I support my family financially . I explained that altho I dont pay rent, I also dont get paid as much as them. Anna said, "so get a second job", implying that Im not working hard enough/ I need to work harder to fund this wedding. I felt pressured by them to spend more, as they claimed that they are in worse financial positions than me, and if they can pay, I should too. They both then called me "disrespectful" for being concerned about money because I don't pay rent, which was unfair, as they assumed I don't have any other financial priorities in my life.
I told the bride everything, how I felt uncomfortable and invalidated, like I wasn't allowed to feel stressed about money bc I don't pay rent. She agreed they were unnecessarily aggressive , but agreed with them that I was disrespectful for being concerned when I dont pay rent. The bride expressed her hurt in how "quickly" I "threatened" to pull out. I explained that me pulling out would not be bc of money, or that I didn't want to be her MOH, but bc of how I was treated by the bridesmaids. I'd rather pull out sooner than later to avoid more future conflicts. She ultimately agreed that I pull out, knowing that she wouldnt enjoy her day knowing that us bridesmaids had beef.
Few weeks later, I asked the bride if everything was ok between us. She said its expected to have a shift due to my "immature actions" and how I "blew everything up", and felt hurt that I quickly pulled out of the bridal party. I explained again why I pulled out (above para), and if she refused to understand how her friends made me feel which led to my decision, then I can't change her mind. She then said, "I'm not rehashing this convo so you can feel good about being the victim".
For the past few weeks, I was made to feel like a shit friend and I started to believe it.
