I'll try not to get that deep into it because I don't think it's worth making a detailed review on a player that likely not many people will use but here's my impressions so far after playing with him at level 20 and purple rank with dexterity points.
He's a fox in the box type of striker but more dynamic that your average poacher. Very good positioning, lethal finishing and finesse shots with either foot, just his power shots with the left foot are hit or miss.
His dribbling, pace and heel to heel with dexterity points will cause defenders problems, can easily turn but he is deffo not the type of player to dribble past 4 or 5 opponents and also not the most effective in tight spaces
Physicality he is alright, a menance on corners but not a tank to trouble big defenders like VVD or Saliba and he's very aggressive on the press which can help against passive players
In short, a jack or all trades, can do a bit of everything but doesn't really stand out on anything. For reference, Vardy is probably the most similar player to him in game
Don't recommend ranking him up and training because there are better options for his position but if you have a themed squad or you like obscure cards, he is more than a good enough striker and you can also use him as a super sub

I'm an entomologist at UNLV and this is my seventh EDC. Last year I posted about the huge numbers of grasshoppers present and getting inadvertently smashed by our feet (RIP). I was expecting there may be another outbreak this year because over the last week, I've noticed quite a few grasshoppers around Vegas. However, it was not to be, at least not on Night 1.
This year, the only insects I saw were a single grasshopper in the purple lot and then I heard a cricket chirping in the vicinity of Daisy Lane. While I am glad that Insomniac presents us with a number of insect-themed decor like the LadyBuggies and butterfly kites, I was sad not to see more of our invertebrate friends partying with us.
Did anyone notice any other insects out and about last night? If so, I'd love to know what you saw. PLUR!

hi! this has been killing me for weeks and i can’t figure it out. i had a little doll/toy/figurine when i was little and it was a small doll, about palm sized. they came in a line of three of them. there was a fair skinned brown haired one, a darker skinned one with brown curly hair, and (i think) a blonde one. their heads could rotate and come off of their bodies, and their bodies were round short plastic with outfits — so the point was that you could change their outfits by swapping them off of the head. mine came with a red outfit and the blonde one came with a denim jacket outfit. they also came with room furniture, so mine came with a zebra print couch with pillows and a white television. the darker skinned one came with orange and purple themed furniture. the packaging also doubled as their room so you could use it to set the furniture up in.

This is long so prepare some popcorn. And SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS
Let's start from the bottom, Risky's Revenge: This game feels VERY unfinished. The GAME OVER screen is just a slap-on of hot bod of Risky Boots because it was in the original game. The original game had great music in the GAME OVER screen while the camera pans up to Risky's hot bod but in Risky's Revenge, it feels forced. The music is boring as all hell, except for the desert music maybe. The music sometimes fades out to nothing and then restarts the loop (Sounds very amateur and takes me out of the immersion). It's like the devs forgot how to seamlessly loop music. There are only 2 good labyrinths out of 3 and the 2nd one is just an arcade battle and a timer. sigh Disappointed esp. after playing original Shantae. The ending also felt eeehhh... forced. Also, the sound effects sounded very childish to me and very annoying but that's just me.
Half-Genie Hero: Although I somewhat enjoyed this game esp after the long awaited belly dancing, which I love in this game, the game is more Mario-like than Metroid-like, meaning, it's more side-scrolly, and has levels that you complete and then kinda just forget about... kinda, and sometimes forces you into a moving screen which I don't like. Just let me move my Shantae wherever I want. I want her to explore. Music was kinda ehhh in this one too. But the desert theme and the last phase of the last boss theme, I like.
SPOILERS Pirate's Curse: I ABSOLUTELY ENJOYED THIS GAME. The lead up to the pirate master was just phenomenal. Reading the title, "and the Pirate's Curse", oooooo, it just invokes fear. What pirate? Risky? No, can't be her. Someone else. I love the dialogue art, the music was better in this game esp. in the latter part of the game. Music is very important to me. Kinda hard to find a Shantae game that has music that fits areas but this game did a better job (ie. Cackle Tower's music). Pirate Master looks SUPER SIC. (Spelled s-i-c and no k) That's how sic he looks. And the sound effects he makes is so menacing. Me, being male, I obviously enjoyed the dungeon where Shantae and her friends are locked up wearing interesting clothing let's say. I kinda wish though that the music sounded more Egyptian there but it's to be expected since music in most Shantae games don't fit environments well like the Metroid games do. Also, I missed Risky Boots sprite in this game. She doesnt look like a demon like she does in HGH or SS. I have some more nit-picks with the game but the good overwhelm the bad.
Shantae (GBC): This was actually my favorite game until I played Seven Sirens for obvious reasons, but I appreciated the game for what it was. The music was way more memorable to me since even though there were hardware limitations which forced my ears to listen to square waves all game. But because of those hardware limitations, it forced the composer, Jake Kaufman, to get really creative. And he blew a lot of die hard gameboy fans away. I missed the dialogue SOUND EFFECT when you press A or B to advance to the next text of dialogue. It sounded very Egyptian. (Just minor things can make a difference). And thats what I missed about the GBC Shantae. It felt more Egyptian to me. Esp. the music for Scuttle Town. The music is subtle, consistent, and fitting, not mixed in with all sorts of other effects that butcher the theme for me like the sequels do. The Dribble Fountain music is probably my fav song in the entire series because it fits the area well, sounds adventurous and mysterious which is what Seven Sirens brought back. But Dribble Fountain was good because Risky Boots was there and it played her awesome theme which I really miss (although some sequels have it but doesn't sound as cool). But anyway, Dribble Fountain's music sounds so memorable. But she talks to you and whatevs and then she falls down a little tube and it closes up with a purple block. And right when the GUI appears, the first notes of the mysterious music plays at the same time. It sent chills down my spine. And then the bass comes in. Also the Cave music I miss. But Seven Sirens' cave music sounds cooler. This game also is home to most themes that were remixed and butchered in the sequels imho. Also, I miss Risky's look. Red blade, red eyes, pale skin, and hot animation, and also the poses that the characters make while talking. Ahhhhhhh. Now Seven Sirens.
Seven Sirens: This game was hard to put in first esp. after enjoying Pirate's Curse and Shantae GBC (I played the Shantae games in order though but u know what I mean). The Shantae anime-styled animation when you boot up the game was so good. And then the MENU MUSIC WOOOOO!!! The menu music in this game felt so mysterious and it's what I missed from the original Shantae. It filled me with 18,000 spirits of adventure whatever that means. The cave music has it to. And I just stop walking and running and sit in the cave and listen. This is what the Metroid games had and I really love it. I really love the GUI of the menu. Looks like some Kirby games or Smash 64's menu. It has that nostalgic look to it. Even when in-game, when you pause, the screen goes dark-green and that nostalgic menu pops up. It sends chills down my spine if when paused, I'm in a cave with that menu or secret area music playing in the background. Ahhhh. This game plays very close to the original in that it has separate towns with different people to talk to from each town. This game plays way more like Metroid than the other Shantae's despite most of them being listed under Metroidvania. Risky's sprite still looks like a demon but I love her dialogue art. The music can be very reliant on the chiptune which is what I loved about the GBC one, but some of them can sound annoying. But the music was memorable nonetheless. But I really loved the Mossy Biome music, the Half Genie music when you're about to get the Fusion coin. Sounds like the cave music but it sounds so good to my ears and it plays consistenly when you're about to get another fusion coin. And i just stop and stare at the animation of the half genie who's locked in a cage that Shantae has to save while I listen to this music almost non-stop. Also love the Squidsmith theme. Kinda missed the Squidsmith's angry look though from Pirate's Curse before she crushes the squids. And kinda wish the music for when she smashed them was a bit more on the mean side (or sound). Boss music kinda sounds weak though, esp. in the beginning. Even the last boss theme, very forgettable but hey, you can't gave everything ehh?? Wrong. Super Metroid did it and that's what most Shantae games are based off of.
TL;DR - Actually read it. Take breaks if you have to.

I teach 5/6th grade so they know what it is but i don't plan on using anything scary
My current students helped me come up with a color theme. We decided purple, checkered black and white, gold/yellow, and tan.
I'm starting early because I'm making everything myself and so I'm still in Training til June and I want to finish before July.
I think for my word wall I'm gonna do balloons with the letters in them with either helpy or bb.
At my turn in/ pick up station either helpy or Map Bot.
And I wanted to make my groups a certain set of Animatronics. I'm between the og, toy, Rockstar, or the glamrocks.
Nothing to crazy just wanted to show more of my personality since I've been following fnaf since high school

2024.05.18 08:12 lolwiaky my shower thought of two more colors.

One thing that I was thinking about the other day while I was at my brother's house playing was that pink wasn't a color in the color wheel. at the same time, you could say that a red/white deck would be a pink deck. this was only because my SIL's favorite color was pink.
So I quickly thought of what pink's mechanics would be based around. which got me thinking that a pink deck should be about slowing the pace of the game down, while also pumping up pink until it does damage. a long-term type of deck that doesn't quite snowballs, but instead scales higher and higher. I think that a blue deck is similar, but the idea isn't to counter spell, but to cast spells that can stun creatures, and is essentially a celestial type of color.
one concept that I was thinking of was the idea that there would be a spell that could skip your opponent's turn. tying into the celestial type of way that this deck would work would be that it controls the mechanics of the game rather than playing against your opponent's cards. or maybe there's a card that won't let your opponent untap their mana on their next turn, or a spell that targeted your opponent's draw phase.
with this I decided to call the land type, "Sky," in an effort to tie in the theme to the cards.
and then I thought, well if this concept would be too overpowered, there should be a color that would counter this type of deck, and I decided to invent the purple deck as a semi-direct counter to pink.
Purple would have a spell shield identity to it. where most spells cast on a purple deck would have no effect. purple would be the barrier between man and the sky. So I decided that purple would have the land type of "Storm," as its mana.
with this, I decided that the mechanics of the purple deck would be that of punishing those that attack the purple deck. so there would be lightning charges attached to purple cards that would inevitably smite creatures that attack purple decks. while also being safe from spells that would cause the purple deck to falter. at the same time, a color has to be balanced, so the creatures in a purple deck wouldn't have high toughness. so steam rolling a purple deck is the best way to go with more powerful creatures, but beware that attacking a purple deck is always a double edged sword.
a concept for a purple deck mechanic is that as your opponents' monsters build up charges, and those charges go over the toughness of that creature, it would instantly be smote, and then be sent to the graveyard. ways to build up charges would be if the creature has attacked, and there's an artifact that will grant charges, or if there's a monster with an electric charge, then it would put a charge token onto the opponent's creature. in order for that creature to be smote though, there would have to be a spell, creature, or an artifact that does that in play.
I'm sure that there would be ways to play against this type of synergy in the future, but imagine these concepts with all of the other colors. like a storm/island deck that claps a sky/plains deck or something.

I also created concept mana to try and get a feel for how this was playing out in my head. it would definitely add a lot more complexity to deck building though. so it's kind of niche to think about actually doing something like this.

I have this piece that I can't decide what to do with. It's a bad photo sorry, I will try to take a better one before I start as this was wet results and the colours are a little bit off - there's no purple/pink-ish colour, I think that's reflection from something, it's just prussian blue, sky blue light, white, silver, turquoise green and some iridescent blue green but that mostly mixed in with the turquoise tbh. I've got some ocean themed stencils and I have decided to add some embellishments over this piece, to try and calm it down a bit. I was thinking of focusing on mostly grasses/plants/corals etc along the bottom and slightly up both sides and then possibly a single sea turtle somewhere in the space between the plant life. I'm thinking some greens, some orange/gold/red/magenta corals and plants and then I'm not sure for the turtle, either more realistic-ish with browns and greens with little pops of orange and other colours or maybe go in a more silhouette style with either a payne's grey/prussian blue mix or a black?
What do you guys think? Would you do something different, if so, what? Different colours? Compositions? Different theme/idea? Would you leave it unadorned? Or would you consider this one to pour over and try again? Don't worry about offending me, we all have different tastes. As long as your critiques etc are polite and helpful I have no problem with constructive criticism 😊
Also, please show me pieces of your own that you've embellished after they dried and say why you chose them and why you did the embellishments you chose to do? I need inspiration! 😂

2024.05.18 03:30 Unstable-Osmosis Ever have one of those "OMG why is EVERYTHING always blue / teal / green / purple / yellow / orange / pink?!" moments, even when you DON'T specify any colors at all? 😆🤣 Obvious (or not so obvious) tip: You can place stereotypical colors (among other things) in your prompt negatives! 🎨😁

Some quickie examples off the top of my head to add to your negatives section whenever you encounter them. For those new to Kindroid's rendering platform, negatives (ie. unwanted elements) go after the "///".
Use these sparingly and only when absolutely necessary, as SD XL tends to generate better images with fewer negatives.
Final notes.
Yes, you can easily specify colors for pretty much any part of an image, or even just throw a palette at the end for the renderer to follow as a general guide, eg:
professional portrait of a stunning Spanish woman in light summer dress, outdoors, sunset, warm hues, white & yellow & red
This of course, comes with its own potential issues like giving the renderer full liberty to use those colors anywhere, as well as color bleed or color transfer to things you might not necessarily want to be any of those colors. Just experiment and adjust accordingly. It's just as easy to do something like...
blah blah blah blah some person with [purple hair] in a [red shirt] /// red hair, purple clothing, purple furniture
... when you want to apply the color to a part of the subject or some object while preventing other things from turning that color. IME, this is also a lot easier than micro-managing weights per color, and it can be just as effective. A combination of the simplest prompt styles and basic descriptions often works best.

So I've been thinking of this fanmade Kamen Rider series I'd like to work on. It's called Kamen Rider Soult and its motifs are space and royalty, with themes of responsibility and flair.
Basically, a meteor hit the Earth, which when further observed, had a strange type of role-playing game inside of it. However, this game affects the real world, as at least once every episode, chunks of the world are replaced and filled with monsters. Only by defeating every monster inside will the chunk return to how it was. Later on in the series, it's revealed that the chunks weren't just coming from the board game, but were actually coming from somewhere in the galaxy, which prompts the Obligatory Big Organisation In Every Season to fund space travel to go there.
The main character, Kamen Rider Soult, is a lazy and motivationless teen. Due to having abnormally high levels of intelligence, he's gone through his life putting in minimal effort and getting in maximum rewards. He would get a cruel reality check when he fights his first MOTW and gets absolutely bodied, so he has to learn how to put effort in while maintaining the level of style and flair he seems attracted to giving as a Rider.
His base form would be based on the Ophiuchus (snake-bearer) constellation and an Ottoman sultan. His suit is purple with some pink and gold (which would both become rose gold in his power-up form), as well as having transparent green silk-ish textures.
I haven't thought much about the secondary Rider, except for him potentially being a dedicated salaryman who longs for something more in his life. He'd be called Kamen Rider Fabel. His suit would be blue and gold, as well as being based on the Aquila (eagle) constellation, a Russian king, and a Faberge egg (his head would be egg-shaped like Fourze). Also, he'd probably debut later than usual (around episode 15).
There are two sets of gimmick items, one to identify the Rider and one for the form. The major gimmick item are pens. The drivers have an ink bottle connected to them, where they have to dip the gimmick pen into and then "connect the dots" on their belt to make their respective constellation, which is to unlock forms. The secondary gimmick item is for the Rider identification, who are little companions like in Legend Hero. The companions are the player pieces from the game mentioned earlier.
I may add more ideas as they come to me. Ideas and feedback are very much appreciated!

I’m hosting an outer space themed party and I’d like to make a purple/blue punch with silver dazzle dust in it to give it a shimmer. I want to put it in a beverage dispenser but I’m worried the dazzle dust will settle so I was thinking about putting a submergible pump to keep the punch circulating and sparkling. Would it be safe to use a replacement pump designed for pet water fountains? I can’t find a pump that’s labeled at safe for use in beverages for human consumption. TIA!
