Hi everybody. I'm sorry for this post, it just got covered and I need to talk it out. This post is essentially a long whining of a young idiot.. If you'll excuse me, I'll start from the beginning.
I am about to turn 21 and for the last two years I have been tormented by the question of faith. I'll come from afar.. I am from Eastern Europe and as a child they tried to instill Orthodoxy in me.. But at the age of 13, I was led away towards rigid atheism. As a result, the question of faith ceased to play any role in my life, but it returned.
I don't know how to explain my condition. I'm scared.. It's scary because it's likely that none of what I'm trying to believe exists. Life after death, creator, the paranormal.. Thanks to registering on reddit and being in groups like afterlife, paranormal and so on, I managed to calm my anxiety. But now that faith has become shaky.. In fact, I am thrown from side to side: I can read something in this topic and faith returns, and then plunge into the comments of materialists and atheists and faith dies.
In fact, faith feeds me.. She supports the desire to live. Without her, there is no meaning in life. It's so terrible to realize that when everyone leaves, everything will go away.. That the day will come when I will no longer hear my father's jokes, the barking of the dog, see my mother's smile and will not be able to watch my younger brother and younger sisters having fun. All this will go away.. Only faith gives hope that something will happen next.
Faith helps me not to fall apart completely. In my 20s, I live with my parents, I can't do anything, I sit at home for days and only faith gives me hope that I need to move on, I need to try to overcome my laziness, fight.. But sometimes, looking at how the number of atheists is growing, how the world's religions are dying, it feels like I'm just a miserable idiot who tries to believe in fairy tales because of my own wretchedness and because of the realization that I missed my youth..
Sometimes it feels like all these attempts to find evidence of faith are just attempts to escape from reality.. A reality in which I will never realize what I wanted.. I won't read books because of laziness, I won't be able to get into a relationship with a goth girl (I keep trying to join this subculture, but it turns out poorly), I won't be able to find friends after university, I won't be able to stop looking ridiculous.. And there will be only work ahead, work, work, work, work, gradual extinction and watching the death of relatives. Phrases like "Life will fly by" "The time of fun has passed and this time is youth" are also annoying.
I'm sorry, this all sounds like the whining of a 13-year-old whiner.. God, I even mentioned the girl... But.. I really don't know what to do.. Faith dies and with it the desire to live fades away. And the feeling that I missed everything.. While my peers are having fun, playing in groups, being realized, I have a feeling that everything is lost

I dont know if this is right for the page or even tagged properly but I really just wanted to compliment you guys on how fun this page is. The conversations around lore, even when contentious, are lively but not really ever heated (usually), and people are still willing to go out of their way to help others have a good time. Every community has toxic people but they seem fewer and less vocal here than in others.
I just threw a little love at the Dark Souls page with a silly headcanon theory that I even said was well-known to be denied, even by the creators but enjoyed playing with as an exercise in creativity (Shared FromSoft multiverse theory) and they came for me with pitchforks like I burned down a nursery.

The Xbox 360 digital store is shutting down on July 29th this year. Leading up to that they've started discounting various non-backwards compatible games (game only available on the Xbox 360).

I would often hide away from my family since I was so afraid of them, and my room was my safe place. When I was away, my mom’s crazy fiancé would always rummage through my room looking for something, ANYTHING to punish me for. In one particular instance, I was caught on two lies where I stepped away at BJ’s and bought an Xbox game card with my own cash, then got caught in a lie about the amount I spent after they found it in one of my summer reading books when I was downstairs one day. I … sure, I was wrong for lying and for making them worry at the store.
However, the way that this was interpreted…. supposedly, this was evidence that I was a rotten person at my core, and that I didn’t consider how my actions affected other people, and thus I had all of my electronics taken away and was fully isolated from anyone and couldn’t talk to anyone except them for two weeks, being forced to study both the Bible and the 12 principles of alcoholics anonymous and then give examples each day of how I could live out each principle in my life. It was all I could do for hours and hours, it was hell on earth, all I did was spend my own money on my hobby and I felt compelled to lie because I knew they were looking for something, anything to punish me for at that time, with me frequently coming home to them ransacking my room when I would come upstairs from my friend’s house before this.
After this event, they installed a whiteboard in my room right next to the door to write me messages to remind me of the principles, or anything else that they wanted me to know. I only have one surviving image of it… the 12 principles listed out but with “awareness” highlighted and bolded because of the principles, this was most important for me to learn since I was so inconsiderate of how my actions affect other people. This is just one of many different ways that they tried to force religious sentiment into my psyche.

is there really no way for me being liked back? i am not his type, let alone his ideal. honestly even after 2 years of no communication and us recently had a talk last week, made me think i actually never moved on and that i still like him.
i do not wish for any romantic relationship because i can't afford that, i'm just curious if it is indeed impossible. somehow, i wanted to use it as a motivation to drive me from being the girl that i want.

Hi everyone. I recently managed to buy Minecraft thanks to the current sale for it's 15° anniversary, and i see there's a promo on twitch to get a few cosmetics. I managed to get the capes from both twitch and tiktok, but i see there is one more for twitch, the glitch mask.

This Sub very existence is about critics. Critics about all the less than coherent writting or author intentions. The characters and issues with the world.
I and others have talk about such things as wjat kind of morality the good guys are and what type of hero or anti hero they were.
We talk about how RWBY world tries to be idealist but is cynisme and the writters failed to convey that.
Expectations and if the heroes were that infective and whatnot.
To how bad the villains are.
All this and more in the canon.
Works deserve criticism that is fair. Constructive one that is.
Yet with how big the fandom and all its fanfiction ideas is. Despite RWBY being overall not a good work i must ask.
Can we critics who arent writters or have no experience in writting actual stories really say so many times that we could have done a better job than canon itself?
And this isn't just limited to RWBY too. Many works with a less than desirable reputation are guilty of such a debate if the authors are considered bad bad by fans and fail to live up to expectations or the minimum bar of acceptable work.
Like the Season 8 of GOT is infamous for how much of a dissapointment it is. D&D are now infamous for how stupid and bad their plot in that Season was and direction and interviews that was lamlasted as being full of themselves and convince their Season is grear when factually its not. Promting fans to come up with some many other and better ways to make Season 8 better despite being for the most part people with no experience writting stories.
The same can be said of the rebel moons movies who are bash by tons of people for how painfully shalow they are and how Zack is a director who should not have full control as his ideas are cliche and his direction uninteressting. That he believes himself that his story is outstanding when its not. Its pretty but that pretty much it. It doesn't stand out aside from slowwwww mooooooooo.
Or the Invasion from Apple series. Notorious for having a subreddit like this one but even more so who embrace the sheer awfulness of this shit show. To the point some say its written by an AI. With the creator statement about gushing how awesome or cool it is and its a great series of sci fi with empathic characters. When it is anything but.
All those works have prompt more than 1 person to state they could honestly be better at writting the story or character than the actual screenwritters despite themselves likely having no actual experience to writte a actual story. And even then it would be fanon and not canon. So one could say it wouldn't matter.
And the same can be said of RWBY as so many works of fans came out. Many in response to awful parts of canon. Some hail as better than the canon série.
Hell there is a work of fiction ( A LN to be precise) that i hate with the rage of a thousand sun for many many many reasons. It honestly worse than RWBY in my eyes and suffers the same problems on top of others.
And im convinces me or others could do a much better job than that sorry excuse of a author whose so surreeee that he is good at his shit that i could be able to write better than him and catch people hearts.
And im not a writter. I am not. I wrote like a small fic of something but im no long term writter. Im very self aware though and i know as a critics what flaws are common in so many stories and how people will react to things so i avoid them and i know what people would like.
Yet i question myself. Do writters of such poor quality just never have themselves being watchers or critics like us and thus are blind to the obvious flaws or issues that permates their series. How can they not see it when we can? How are they so blind to such obviously or in hindsight problems that they dont correcte?
Cause i can gurantee that most of us who watch those things have so much pop culture experience with good and bad works that we would not fall into those traps. Yet those suppose experience writters fell into them nonetheless.
The idea of actual writters possesing less sense of story and characters unlike us and inability to recognise what would be bad in a work just bothers me on a fundamental level.
If they so bad compare to us who can recognise so many tropes or device and use or not use them. How do they get to make canon works while we in the fandoms are stuck with better ideas and better senses and yet since we are fans and not official it will never be seeing as true unlike canon.

I’m looking to build a sim rig in the near future and I landed on fanatec as my wheel/drive combo. I am going to grab the CSL DD WRC bundle at the end of the month. I plan to mainly play on Xbox series s for now until I can upgrade my pc in the future.
My main question is what is your guys ideal cockpit for this bundle? I would like to stay below ~$400 for the cockpit as my total budget is around $1000.
I will have the set up in my living room and connect to my tv so easy mobility would be a plus, but not required, as I’m not always going to have it connected. I also would prefer a more realistic seat rather than a thin cloth one like I’ve seen. I would even consider stretching the budget a bit if I were able to get a cockpit that could fit a real car seat which ideally I would put an e36 M3 seat on.
Any tips or help is appreciated as I am very new to the sim community and this would be my first set up!
