BetOnline heads our list of top offshore online sportsbooks for several reasons. First off, it offers more markets than nearly all other offshore betting sites. It also goes well beyond the basics to cover niches like darts, handball, snooker, financials, and politics.
BetOnline has been around for a long time and has built a reputation for providing early betting lines and super competitive odds.
While we would like to see live streaming, the live betting lines are second to none. As far as banking options go, you’re well covered with card and cryptocurrencies support. The only drawback here is the credit card fees which are quite high.

Bovada has the best live betting lines in the industry with all odds and scores updated in real-time and a massive range of markets for each event.
Bovada’s prop builder is another highlight that makes bet suggestion for your bet slip. There are very few ongoing promos, but there’s a great loyalty program that makes up for this. There’s a good range of banking options and a boosted welcome pack for signing up with crypto.

Our Verdict 9.1/10

BetWhale is one of the new kids on the block and offers big rewards for crypto users. In fact, there’s an unlimited crypto welcome bonus which is pretty amazing.
One of the standout features at this offshore sportsbook is the live betting and live streaming features that work together seamlessly. You won’t get stream of all sports but there’s certainly enough to keep you going.
As for payments, we;;, it stands to reason that there’s lots of support for crypto but you can also make card payments. Payouts here are super fast and can be processed in as little as a few minutes when using crypto.

  • Payout time: 1-2 days
  • Established: 1996 (as Intertops)
  • License: Curacao
  • Headquarters: Antigua
  • Restricted states: KY, LA, MD, MO, NJ, NY, WA

Our Verdict 9/10

Everygame took its first bet in 1996 as Intertops. It’s one of the longest-running offshore sportsbooks in the world. And in that time this bookie has perfected its sports betting platform in every way imaginable.
Everygame runs some great ongoing promos such as the weekly draws where you can pick up some free bets. These draws are for anyone that makes in-play parlay wagers.
The selection of prop bets could improve while we’d also like to see live streaming. But the range of futures and other bets makes this a minor flaw in an otherwise perfect sportsbook.

Our Verdict 8.9/10

TG.Casino Sportsbook is unique among the best offshore sportsbooks for its long list of sports betting markets. For an offshore betting site that started out as a casino, this is one seriously impressive site.
One of the unique features of TG.Casino is the markets if offers on esports leagues and tournaments. You’ll struggle to find another sportsbook that covers the likes of Rocket League and Call of Duty.

Bonuses Available at Offshore Sports Betting Sites

One of the best things about offshore online sports betting sites is that you get access to the best sportsbook bonuses in the industry. In fact, these offers are usually much higher in value that any you’ll find at state-licensed sportsbooks.
Here are a few of the most common bonuses to look out for.

Welcome Bonuses

If you sign up for a new account you’ll get a nice big welcome bonus. This is usually a deposit match bonus but may also include a free bet or bonus bet. These bonuses can only be used once when you sign up and are often high in value.

Deposit Match Bonuses

This bonus matches your deposit by a certain percentage up to a max amount like 100% up to $500. It’s a very simple bonus that just rewards you for putting more money in your account.

No Deposit Bonuses

This is like the triple-double of sports betting bonuses in that it’s super rare. The no deposit bonus gives you free credit to use at the offshore sportsbook. It’s usually low in value, but hey, it’s free.

Bonus Bets

These are free wagers that are sometimes part of a welcome package or thrown in with deposit match bonuses. Any winnings from a bonus bet are yours to keep minus the stake. So a $25 bonus bet that returns $75 will see you pocket $50.

Ongoing Promotions

These are offers that are available to you as a regular customer. They can be bonuses for making deposits, bonus bets, special bets on certain events or parlay offers. One of the most popular ongoing promos is the odds boosts… which brings us to our next bonus.

Odds Boosts

This offer will enhance or ‘boost’ the odds for a particular wager which means more potential profits for you. These are almost always offered on a specific event or wager type for an event or sport.

Parlay Insurance

A parlay bet is made up of legs and this promos insures your overall wager if you lose by one leg. You won’t get your winnings, but you will get your stake or part of your stake back.

Loyalty Bonuses

These are offers that are only available through a sportsbook loyalty program. These can be any of the bonuses listed above or even real world prizes like tickets to a game.

Payment Methods

Available payment methods at top offshore sportsbooks generally fall into two main categories: crypto and traditional. Below, you can read more on these banking options and find out if there are any offshore sportsbooks that accept PayPal.

Cryptocurrencies

Crypto like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin allow for fast deposits and withdrawals with no fees (outside of small mining charges). You also don’t have to worry about dealing with third parties like banks or credit card companies.

Traditional Payment Methods

Credit cards and debit cards are easy to use, but they may come with fees and aren’t available for withdrawals. Some sportsbooks let you use bank wire, but you’re potentially looking at high fees here too.

eWallets

At the time of writing, there are no offshore sportsbooks that accept PayPal, or other popular eWallets like Neteller and Skrill. This is unfortunate on one hand because eWallets deliver fast withdrawals. But on the other hand, they charge up to 3% fees on sportsbook cashouts.

Types of Bets at Offshore Sportsbooks

The best offshore sports betting sites feature a wide range of bet types. Here’s what to expect regarding different kinds of wagers:
  • Moneyline: A simple bet on the game winner, but the favorite and underdog have different odds.
  • Point Spread: You wager on if the favorite or underdog will cover their respective spread.
  • Totals: Betting on whether two teams will combine to score more or less than the totals line.
  • Player Props: A wager on an individual player’s statistical performance (e.g., Steph Curry to score 30+ points: yes/no).
  • Team Props: A bet on a team that doesn’t revolve around them winning or losing (e.g., Bills to score 4+ touchdowns: yes/no).
  • Parlays: Includes two or more outcomes, and all outcomes must win for a successful wager.
  • Same Game Parlays: Same as above, except all outcomes come from the same game rather than different matches.
  • Live Betting: Provides new bets in the middle of games, as opposed to pre-game moneylines, spreads, totals, etc.
  • Futures: Wagers that usually take weeks or months to settle (e.g., Who will win the championship?).

Popular Sports at the Best Offshore Sportsbooks

Most of the top offshore betting sites feature 20 sports or more. That means you’ll have no shortage of markets to wager on at these sportsbooks.
Here are some of the most popular sports that boast the most markets at US offshore sportsbooks.
NFL
The NFL is the premier US sport in terms of fanfare and betting. Sportsbooks go crazy every fall with many NFL prop bets, live wagering options, spreads, and moneylines. Just about any offshore sportsbook will have an impressive selection.
But if you’re looking for the absolute best NFL sportsbook, then you should head to BetOnline. This bookmaker covers pro football better than any other.
NBA
The NBA offers many wagering opportunities thanks to its 82-game season and lengthy postseason. Totals bets and player props are especially popular due to the NBA’s high-scoring nature. It’s always fun wagering on how many points a certain player will score.
As for where you should bet on NBA games, Everygame stands out due to its consistent basketball coverage throughout the entire season.
MLB
Pro baseball takes the prize for the longest season at 162 games per team. MLB player props and same game parlays are quite popular among baseball bettors. You’ll commonly see props involving pitchers and home runs.
This is especially true at Bovada, which has a loaded MLB betting section.
NHL
NHL betting is quite popular in northern states, or any metropolitan area with a good hockey team. It provides the chance to make unique bets like puck lines and period wagers. Of course, you can place common wagers on hockey too like moneylines, parlays, and live bets.
And where is best to place these wagers? BetNow is a leading NHL sportsbook thanks to its massive range of hockey bets.
NCAA Football & Basketball
No restrictions exist on college sports betting at offshore sportsbook sites. Contrast this to some regulated markets, where you can’t bet on in-state teams or any college teams at all in some cases.
NCAA football is extremely popular at offshore sports betting sites during fall while March Madness is the big draw for college basketball.
BetUS is a good site for both college football and basketball wagering as it has lots of picks and predictions on its BetUS TV shows.
Golf
While golf may not featuring exciting dunks or home runs, it still pulls in a lot of action at sportsbooks. You’ll find lots of props, live wagers, and futures when the four Majors roll around. That said, mark your calendar for the PGA Championship, Masters, US Open, and British Open.
You might also want to open a Bovada account because we’ve found it to be the top golf sportsbooks.
Horse Racing
Horse racing may feel like it’s past its glory days, but it still pulls in the crowds at sportsbooks. Major races for betting purposes include the Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes, Preakness, Breeders’ Cup, and Grand National.
If you like horse racing betting, keep in mind that MyBookie provides an 8% rebate for horse bettors.
Esports
Esports betting gains more and more popularity with each passing year. It offers well over a dozen markets, with examples being LoL, CS:GO, Dota 2, Fortnite, and Rocket League. There are even live betting markets now for tournaments.
As for where to bet, we like the esports market selection at TG.Casino.
Other Sports
Some other popular sports among American bettors include boxing, MMA, soccer, and tennis. These sports each have major events and fights (boxing/MMA) throughout the year. They’re also popular among international crowds and draw bettors from around the globe.
Jazz Sportsbook is a nice sportsbook for these popular secondary markets because it caters so well to international bettors.

What is an Offshore Sportsbook?

Offshore sportsbooks are betting sites that are licensed by regulators outside the US such as Costa Rica, Curacao, or Panama. These licenses typically allow operators to serve multiple countries including the US.
This means that offshore betting sites are not regulated at state level but they are regulated by those offshore gaming authorities.
The best offshore sportsbooks offer the same betting products, odds, and services as their state-licensed counterparts. We’d even say they offer better in many cases, but more on that later.

Are Offshore Sportsbooks Safe?

That’s the big question, right? And the simple answer is a resounding yes.
Top offshore sportsbooks are all fully licensed by respected gaming authorities. This means that they need to prove to the regulator that they are above board and have the right security measures in place to protect you and your money.
This means that they are perfectly safe to use in the USA. The same also applies in other countries, such as the UK, where you can bet at betting sites that are not on Gamstop. These sites are not regulated by the UK Gambling Commission, but they are still safe and legal to use.

Why Bet at Offshore Sportsbooks?

Offshore betting sites have been hugely successful for a long time now, so why is it that bettors keep using them? Well, here are a few of the major benefits to using offshore sportsbooks.
  • Bigger bonuses: Offshore sportsbook bonuses are usually much bigger than those at state-licensed sites. They can be worth thousands of dollars especially if using crypto.
  • Regular promos: You rarely need to wait for offshore online sports betting promos. Most offshore sportsbooks will have multiple offers running each month.
  • Crypto support: Offshore bookmakers always offer crypto as a banking option. You can expect fast deposits and withdrawals when using crypto and in some cases, instant payouts.
  • Available in most states: You don’t have to worry about geolocation software with offshore sportsbooks. The average offshore sportsbook serves most states in the US.
  • No taxes withheld: Federal laws require a gambling operator to report winnings over a certain amount or withhold taxes. But offshore online sportsbooks don’t report these winnings to the IRS leaving it up to you.
  • Better odds: Offshore sportsbooks have lower running costs as they do not pay state taxes. They can then pass these savings on to you in the form of better odds.

Is Sports Betting Legal in the US?

Sports betting is legal in the US. The Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) used to prevent sportsbooks on the internet from operating directly on American soil. But the 2018 repeal of PASPA gave states the right to regulate sports gambling. Many states have taken advantage of this opportunity since 2018.
No federal laws ban offshore sports betting. As a result, some offshore sportsbooks have been legally serving Americans for decades. BetUS, for example, has been in the offshore betting industry since 1994.
You can deposit and place wagers at the best offshore sportsbooks without any worries. This is because no US citizen has ever been prosecuted for offshore online betting.

Offshore Sports Betting on Mobile

You won’t find offshore sportsbook apps at any of our recommended bookmakers. But you can still wager through a smartphone or tablet at any of the best offshore sportsbooks. Our top 10 recommended operators offer mobile betting through their websites.
You just need to visit your the site on your mobile device. From there, you can sign up, deposit, and start placing wagers. You’ll find that offshore mobile sportsbooks are every bit as good as dedicated apps.

Pros & Cons of Mobile Offshore Sportsbooks vs Desktop

While offshore sports betting apps are few and far between, you can still bet through offshore mobile sportsbook sites. But how do they compare to desktop sites?
Pros
  • Perfect for betting on the go with no need for sitting
  • Stay on top of news and markets anywhere
  • Great for placing bets on vacation or other trips
  • Make bets in a stadium while watching games live
  • Mobile sportsbook screens usually load faster
Cons
  • Smaller screen versus desktop betting
  • Harder to see live streams
  • Convenience may lead to placing too many bets

Do You Have to Pay Taxes on Offshore Sportsbooks?

The IRS requires you to report any type of income, including winnings at gambling sites. State-licensed betting sites stick to this rule, reporting your winnings to the IRS if you make of over $600 in the year.
By contrast, offshore sportsbooks don’t report anything to American tax authorities. We still recommend that you pay taxes on sports betting winnings for legal purposes and it is best to speak to a tax professional.

Responsible Gambling

The best offshore sports betting sites make a commitment to responsible gambling. This includes tools that promote responsible betting such as:
  • Deposit limits
  • Spending/loss limits
  • Time limits
  • Self exclusion/account pauses
They will also feature dedicated pages on responsible gambling with resource links to organizations like the National Council on Problem Gambling.

2024.05.18 03:23 Legal-Hunt1227 What should I(33M) do with my relationship with my boyfriend(24M)?

I've been dating my boyfriend for about 3.5 years. We are both weird and quirky and it feels amazing to date someone who just understand me. We're both introverts and we both only have a couple other friends and most of the time we only hang out with each other. In general we agree with each other on a lot of things but not everything. Our interests don't overlap much though, and sometimes that can be a strain. We talked about kids and having a family and we both agree on parenting styles and mostly seem to agree about hypothetical situations.
Although he would have ideally wanted to wait a couple more years, we discussed surrogacy and he agreed to go through the process and raise a child with me. This is all on me, I'm paying for everything. I'm not rich and I saved a long time to get the money for this. It will be biologically my child. We aren't at the point where we are pregnant, but it would be costly to delay significantly, and moreso to back out.
He's always been somewhat sensitive and tends to shut down when he's upset. For a while though, we were starting to get along better and better. But slowly over the past year things that I do have begun to upset him more and more frequently. Most of the time I don't think he's being reasonable, but he won't accept agreeing to disagree. He also has a very polarized view on certain world events and is becoming increasingly upset with my stubbornly middle ground views.
However it doesn't even need to be some big topic. For example, just today, we are on a road trip with my family and had to do a border checkpoint we weren't expecting. I was driving. The officer asked for photo ID from everyone in the van so I yell that back to everyone. As I'm getting mine out he goes on to say any ID, passport, driver's license, etc. It's taking a while. Apparently everyone in the back was digging around for passports instead of readily available driver's license. I wasn't looking back, I don't know this. But I yell back again, turn around, see what's going on and clarify. We get moving, no issues, less than two minutes total. But afterwards he's upset with me for not telling them they could have used driver's licenses, saying photo ID doesn't mean driver's license?? That's why everyone was looking for passports. I could have just went meh and let it go but I was not having it today. So I was like absolutely not. Your driver's license is an ID and it has your picture. Absolutely no clarification should have been necessary. So he goes on about how I make everything needlessly difficult (We went back and forth a few times but basically just rewording the same statements) and then he won't talk to me for about 8 hours. My family thinks he's being unreasonable, but they're all nice and will never say anything to him. And I never said anything but couldn't shotgun seat (him) pass that info along just as easily?
Anyway the point isn't one particular situation, but mostly to highlight that small things are setting him off now. I'm at my wits end and I'm not just keeping my mouth shut which compounds the problem. And I promise, while he's always been sensitive, he's never been this level of unreasonable. I'm not sure if there's a way to approach this differently? Something I'm not seeing? I can be sassy especially in situations where I feel someone deserves a little sass. I have been trying to reign it in, but it's getting to the point where I feel like I'm walking on eggshells while he's putting in no effort. He's in-between jobs at the moment. The whole surrogacy thing. Traveling. These are all things that I'm sure are adding extra stress to him lately. We've tried therapy in the past but had a very mediocre therapist and I'm not sure I can convince him to try again, and to be honest my heart wouldn't be in the effort to convince him either.
I have a feeling I know what the comments will say. It seems everyone is always so quick to say break up. But it feels so horrible to call it quits when there are so many good memories and good times that we do still have. And now with being in the middle of a surrogacy contract? I am an anxious person who always thinks of every possible way things can go wrong. And I've thought about what would happen if he were to leave me with the kid by myself before I even started the surrogacy process. I'm confident I could do take care of a kid without a partner. But it would be difficult and I wouldn't want that for me or especially the child.
He lives with me in a two family house with my parents in the other unit. He doesn't get along well with his family, so moving out, even temporarily, would be difficult for him.
Please help me bounce some ideas.

2024.05.17 17:35 Reality_Thief2000 Advent's Amazing Advice: Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk, A Campaign Fully Prepped and ready to go! (Part 1 Cragmaw Hideout)

Welcome back to Advent's Amazing Advice! The series where I take popular One-Shots, Adventures, Campaigns, etc. and fully prep them for both New and Busy DMs. This prep includes fully fleshed-out notes, music, ambiance, encounter sheets, handouts, battle maps, tweaks, and more so you can run the best sessions possible with the least stress possible!
Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk stems from The Lost Mine of Phandelver a classic and beloved starter set that many new DMs run. Even with this being the most recent release it still has an issue, the same as with many others...it doesn't describe the best way to transform the book's contents into an actual session. The Book-to-session conversion can be difficult between figuring out when things should happen, understanding motivations, and even organizing encounters.
Well, fortunately for you, 99% of that work is done! Only a few things are really left:
Advent's Notes: I was surprised with how few changes were made in the book considering how long this adventure has been around and all the wonderful things the community has come up with, I was even more surprised when they started adding more monsters to Cragmaw Cave. It's already pretty rough in there and with the additional creatures, it's almost assured there's going to be a TPK. I've kept most of the fights the way they were with only a few minor adjustments, the most important changes are just subtle nods to the Psi Goblins that will be encountered later on.
Without further ado:
Included in The AAA Collection are:
Over 5 dozen other Fully Prepped One-Shots, Adventures, and Campaigns: Click Here
As always, if you see something you think I can improve, add, change, etc. please let me know. I want this to be an amazing resource for all DMs and plan to keep it constantly updated! If you'd like to support me, shape future releases, and get content early feel free to check out my Patreon!
Cheers, Advent

2024.05.17 14:34 Front_Ad_8752 Nmom willing to get me arrested because of the fights FOR my nex

This is a very complicated and complex situation and idk what to do. Key word: For. She’s willing to put me behind bars for this 20 year old fucking boy to get his fucking satisfaction. My Nmom has always chosen men over her family so there’s def some sort of daddy issues going on and im not suprised to see her teaming up with my nex to our me behind bars. I don’t even know why she would HELP him. My own mother. Assisting a man who’s abused me for the last 5 decades of my life, after knowing all of the things he’s said and done to me, after seeing me cry in pain from the pain HE caused me. He basically painted a picture of me being the bad guy claiming he “fears for his life.” And coming to my Nmom for “help.” When all he wants to do is to ruin my life, thats what he was always after. Theyre both narcissists I automatically loose. I don’t have a real mother. I was just born to a narcissist who pretends to be a mother and will throw me under the bus if she doesn’t get what she wants, attention. My nex is giving my Nmom attention and supply, she doesn’t care who gives it but he’s giving it and which is why she defends HIM over me. She’s chooses his side over me.
She’s willing to work with my abusive nex into bringing me down. My nex has always spited me, he was always jealous of me. My Nmom has only treated me as such if it meant she got what she wanted or didn’t. I’m their target. The worst thing about this is despite my exs covert abuse my Nmom can’t see it. She don’t even see abuse as abuse, she most likely believes I deserved the abuse from my ex in some way because I “did something wrong” because that’s how she sees her abuse towards me. Its absolutely fucked it. Here’s the terrible thing, my nex is a womanizer, plays around with dozens of women and has sex with hundreds. He doesn’t care who it is but he will persue it and i’m sure he would try to mingle with my Nmom in some type of way to hurt me or because of his own selfish nasty desire. And my Nmom being the cold hearted selfish person she is, I wouldn’t find it a shock for her to mingle with my nex too despite them being 30 years apart. My Nmom and nex would rub in my face that they “mingled.” In an effort to hurt me. She would shamelessly flirt with my nex instead of rejecting his effort because my Nmom is selfish and lonely. My Nmom type of mother to hook up with their daughters boyfriend and I wouldn’t be suprised if she was sexting with him.
Now that we got that out of the way here’s some context, i was in this long winded situationship with this guy who was toxic and abusive to me, in turn I became suffered from reactive abuse. I’ve said some mean things and didn’t hold back. I’m a person who wishes death to those who’s wronged me. I ofc stupidly made my wishes and desires very clear to my ex during a fight. I don’t necessarily beleive wishing a person death is abuse/a threat if they were the one who treated you wrong in the first place? But it’s still wrong nontheless and I essentially lost control of my emotions, let too much slip out. Safe to say I lost my ever loving mind and I will say 50% of it is pain from the pain my nparents had caused me. Based on my knowledge of knowing how they operate he wasn’t anything different compared to them. I’ve had entire fantasies of my ex dying…I told him (alll of it.) 😅🤦‍♀️ I was filled with so much anger and sadness and dispair because of him. I believed nothing would’ve been better but him off this planet yk?
I feel like wishing the demises of your abuser is somewhat/ or quite normal because these people did the most inhumane thing to us which we don’t deserve. I see narcissists as the scum from the bottom of my shoe so i beleive they should be treated as such. It’s as simple as that, also due to the fact that narcissists are most likely a product of their environment I said some things about their family as well as they were racist to me. I fucking hate racists. I had a lot to say to sum it up. His family and himself were disgusting people and yes I’ll be going to therapy. Anywho, he bullied me for years and I’ll admit it’s immature on my part to blow up. If anything he was trying to get me to react and create a “case” against me. I wanted the absolute worst for him, no crazy painful insane death, just death to him and his family. I was hurting, I was in pain and the only way I could react was by telling the very person who hurt me that I wish they where dead and I’d do it myself. NOT WISE AT ALL. I OBVIOUSLY I wasn’t going to actually commit a crime but I still said it regardless. sigh. I will be going to therapy because of this. In short, my nex threatened he will use what I said against me to get me arrested and he wants nothing to do with me because i’m crazy. He’s even admitted to me he knows what he’s doing and knows he’s toxic but doesn’t intend to changed he knows he mistreats me yet acts shocked when I want him byebye. I’m honesty scared of this man. He was able to manipulate the situation and come out as victim just for my Nmom to take his side, believe him and form alliances. If I was the mother I would’ve saw the signs and knew my daughter was reacting from the action. She takes whatever side benefits her.
I have nothing to benefit me legally because my nex has all the proof. His abuse is very covert and hidden , you’d have to read between the lines and know what to look for. He’s very crafty about how he abuses me to not leave a trail so i’m loosing at this one. My nex told me he wasn’t actually going to call the cops but he is advised to do it, he only did it to scare me. I’m not sure but i’m guessing into submission? I wish he didn’t get my Nmom into it cuz she’s having a hay day with the potential of getting rid of me simply because she’s not getting her way within the family. She never wanted what was best for me, she wasn’t the mother who was happy to see me walk across that stage for graduation, she was the mother who secretly wished her children to experience the worst things.
I honestly think going byebye myself is the better alternative.

2024.05.17 13:20 Own-Month-5263 Another post

I use this space to think. Most of my problems, when infused with the right amount of anxiety, become reasons to end my life. I quit my job due to stress, along with general unhappiness with the position, and have been unemployed this past week. I’m 33yo, with a grad in Cybersecurity, previously a software support tech, and now an Uber driver. I plan to move into a families vacant condo for much less money, about $1000 less, Uber, and study for a cert. This will be happening in 2mo, the move is out of state. I tell you this, because there are so many problems that all lead back to ending my life, however, none else more at this point then how long I’ll have to be alone and not try to find someone. I’m ashamed of quitting, and terribly afraid of how difficult it can be to earn money this way. Driving Uber is not easy, and seeing, from time to time, beautiful available women, haunts me. I have the same impression at the gym. I cannot imagine telling a woman I’m dated what I’m going through and up against. This shame is stacked against how I’ve failed to meet anyone for the past few years, while I was employed and feeling okay about things. I’ve started to do some radical things with myself to compensate, some in sad ways. I force myself to eat close to 2lbs of vegetables a day. I’m not fat, and in relatively good shape, but I could stand to lose 30lbs. I also have started to exercise very hard, for multiple hours. I have this delusion that being in incredible good shape would be the answer to finding a catch of a woman. That if I get the fancy job after passing a certification I need, and I’m at 8% body fat, buy bunch of designer clothes, have a swank apartment, hire a professional photography to take photos for me, use those photos on a dating app, then and ONLY then, will I have a shot at finding the woman of my dreams. This plan will take me at least one year, if I can remain disciplined. But I hunger to be with someone so badly now. It’s been like this for such a long time, about 3-4 years, with a few exceptions for flings, but no real connection or relationship. It makes me so terribly sad, worse than what I went through quitting and has seemed to make my entire existence a project for a shot at being happy later on. But for now, I just can’t have that. IM NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN. And it makes me sick that I know I could figure out a way to defy this truth. The shame I have is so intense and my self-esteem has been crushed. To the extent that even if I found a way to meet someone, I couldn’t handle the immediate pity that woman would feel for me, and how unattractive that is. I’m literally so disgusted that I’ve let this happen and just find that it’s too far gone of a thing to try.
My loneliness is going to kill me one day.

Discover the Power of Ayat E Karima Wazifa for love
Ayat E Karima Wazifa for love
In such poem the author carlessly states, Love is far more powerful than most people think. He gave the poem as a gift to the reader and the readers’s perception of what is true love.

What is Surat Yasin? It is called “Ayatul Kareem,” or Almighty.
The verse which everyone remembers and that is related to the Surah Al A'raf is always that, verse 54. This ayat is also termed ayat e karima. Such manifesto is verse that can only be achieved through Allah while in possession of his security. The verse translates to:
The theme of the passage is that the one and only god is Allah. He is the one who created the sky and the earth. Finally he sat on his throne to be the master of all. In brief pursuit of this dance from day to night, is speedening the sun, chasing the dark. And He is the creator of the heavens and earth and regulating them by His command and all others are sub-servient by His will. Indeed, it is He who created it, shaping it and immutability of His commands. Education is the best way to combat terrorism, Allaham. Are the well-defined policies and programs the first step towards illiteracy’s mitigation.
According to the Quran, Allah is not a kind of creation among many and greatness for Him lies in His majestic image that holds His kingdom firm. It spots him as the only almighty power beyond which every creature can attain as a tributary. As a basic liturgical verse of Muslims’ life and inscribed in prayers and supplications, this verse is used widely among the people who want Allah’s help and some peace of mind.
Shazamazing Lover Charm is a prayer of the Holy Quran as the modified word.
The Qur'anic love-making formual known as wazifa for love as per ayat e karima simply involves the repetition of Ayat Al-Kurseen Surah Al-A'raf in the number of times so desired until your perfect mate or divine partner comes looking for you. The topic is the aggression in one Quranic verse in particular; This verse is enriched with many meanings as it is interpreted herein.
To perform this wazifa: Ayat E Karima Wazifa For Love
  1. To commence with, perform ablution followed by two unit nafl prayers as the first (the rakät) of purifying ritual. The direction of Makkah, which is Qiblah, is the part that is going to be faced when one is praying.
  2. Unless saying it 75 times, do these prayers exactly as follows. The Prophet (PBUH) is blessed by the revile, warning and then the message of God is transferred to him.
  3. Then, try to apply Surah al-Arf verse 54 in your repeated recitation by at least 125 times frequency. I count beads of my own tasbeeh as I recite the Fraser. Unfurtunately, focus all of your attention to the feelings and power of the verse.
  4. In the end, 3 times of deep breathing and 3 times blowing on your hands and drying them on the last will be done.
  5. The Almighty Allah is the One who grants every, and let your hands be up in supplicating prayers and request for His love. In the first instance, think of a wish for a kind, loving, and thoughtful partner, which will bring not just joy but also be a beacon of hope. Write all your woes abut to your Herism. Lower down you older problems and you will feel better. It should be cover with the feelings of pity and mourn.
  6. Conclude the process of istikbarah with Surah Al-Ikhlas, Surah Al-Falaq, and Surah An-Nas to be said once and Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas twice in one saying. 4. Moral of the story: The accurate response and the trustworthy reputation are the primary goals.
That is why the two rak’ahs, the ayat e kareema Quran recitation that is taught is practiced regularly in a quiet and clean place at home. Do not let such feeling to stay long in your mind and really strengthen your faith and be determined. Sooner than you know it, you will see an improvement. All the stars will be placed in a row lengthening the way so the person who is your destiny will come into your life.

2024.05.17 10:48 Kami_Soul43 Texting is hard

I've been trying to make a new friend. Almost two weeks ago I approached him at an end of the year type school event and asked if he'd like to hang out sometime. We didn't actually know each other, but we've had a couple of classes together and I just think he's really cool. He said sure and we exchanged numbers. A day or two later I asked if he'd be interested in going on a hike with me. He said that sounded like a lot of fun, but that he'd be busy until the following week with family stuff. I said that sounded great, and waited a few days to text him again asking which days would be the best for him, and mentioning two days that would be the easiest for me to plan on. He never responded. He does seem to be pretty slow at responding, but he's texted back within a day. The next day my phone was acting up, so I wondered if perhaps my text was never received. I restarted my phone (because that usually fixes it when it's acting weird) and texted him the next day to ask if he had received my last message, clarifying that my phone hadn't been working well. I never got a response to that text either. That happened three days ago.
I'm a pretty anxious person, especially when it comes to texting, so my mind has been doing me no favors. I'm wondering if I did something wrong, or misunderstood him, or if he actually never got my texts and thinks I'm being rude by not following up with our plans, or if he's not interest in going on a hike anymore. (Though I'm pretty sure it's not the fault of my phone, because after I reset it, I was able to text other people normally again.) I'm also wondering what, if anything, I should do. I know I can either text him or not (since school just got out, there is basically no chance we'll ever see each other in person). If I don't text him I risk never seeing him again and wondering forever if I could have done something more. But there are so many more variables to think about if I decide that I should text him again. When should I text him again? What should I say? Should I mention just the hike, or just the fact that I haven't heard from him, or both? Do I apologize in case I offended or misunderstood him? Should I explain my anxiety around texting people; if so, how do I avoid being manipulative? Most of these questions just lead to more questions. I don't actually need it wasn't answers to each and every one of these questions, but I included some of them as context for what sort of things my anxiety-ridden brain causes me to think about. Any help will be much appreciated (especially examples/suggestions of specific things I might say; I struggle a lot when it comes to wording things). Thank you!

2024.05.17 05:59 isawthreecities I miss the old you.

Dear former friend,
Before we begin, for my safety, please do not share this letter with anyone else. This is a private message. Just between you and me. \[that I ended up posting to Reddit, yeah.\]
I honestly am not sure how to begin this letter, but I just wanted to get this off my chest before the end of the year. I miss you. I don’t miss the current you that I see every day at school: the loud, rude, and brash you who has become infamous for all the wrong reasons, I miss the old you. The beautiful, smart, driven, old you. The person I met at the beginning of the year.
You had goals and ambitions. You cared deeply about others and you smiled warmly with your friends. For someone like me, afraid and alone in a new environment, you were the best glimmer of hope I could find. I got to know you more. You were passionate (but not rude or confrontational) and creative. You were outgoing and friendly. You were wise and sociable. Everything you did seemed like it was commissioned by the stars. Even in times of trouble and fear, you stood up proudly and acted with maturity and grace.
In the fall, things were going wonderfully, I was introduced to some of your friends, and your partner at the time seemed like a nice person. We spoke frequently, and we shared dreams, experiences, and plans. You had a promising future. You had a profession in mind, and you were determined to make your dream a reality. You worked hard, and your grades proved it. You were generally seen as a good student, a good person, and a good friend. You were involved in many extracurricular activities, and you contributed a great deal in all of them. In my eyes, you were perfect. Everything I had ever wanted and more.
Then, and slowly at first, something changed. I partially blame myself. I hadn’t properly spoken up sooner. Someone new confessed their feelings to you. You two began dating. That was fine, you deserved to be happy. Problem is, for some unknown reason, possibly related to your new partner, possibly not, you began changing. Subtly at first. You began removing yourself from me. I, not understanding what was happening, just tried to reach out more. I was, and still am, an attention-starved kid. Love is all I had ever wanted, whether that be romantic or platonic. A bit of difficulty didn’t sway me a bit.
You began venting to me about your problems. Family issues, self-esteem problems. This, of course, broke my heart. You in pain was the last thing I wanted to see. I tried to help, to give advice. You shrugged it off and ignored me. After that came the personality changes. The mature, intelligent person I had once loved completely flipped. It was at the winter formal that I realized that I simply couldn’t feel the same way toward someone who was so different. But, the memories still remain. The you who I once knew still lives on in my mind, for me to love and adore just as before. I suppose I blame myself for the switch. I simply didn’t speak up sooner. I could have circumvented everything. I didn’t because I was afraid. You can tell by the anonymous nature of this letter that I still am. You know who I am though. That’s what matters.
Our last true conversation was at an event. I said something rude to you in order to get my anger and frustration out, and you responded with one single word. I deserved it. You pointed out my own narcissistic tendencies. I admit I have those flaws. It all is just the result of self-loathing. Self-loathing for so many reasons. But this isn’t about me, it’s about you. The lunch incident and the bus situation just further confirmed that the old you was gone. That hurts a lot. But then, I think about the times when I see the tiny glimpses of the aforementioned old you. I think that they still exist, but are hidden. Hidden behind the guards you put up in order to achieve what you thought was the only love you could receive. I’m not saying that I want you to completely reset yourself and leave who you’re with, of course not. I simply wanted to tell you all this. Let out all of the feelings I had kept bottled up for too long. It seems misfortune follows me constantly. I will go my way and you will go yours, but I want you to remember what I was trying to tell you all along: You don’t have to alter your path for anyone, your own passions, your own heart, and your own ethics will lead you to happiness and fulfillment. Stick by your true self, whoever that is.
[the toxic doomed yuri that never actually existed lmao]

2024.05.17 03:25 yuniah_17 I (20F) am not sure what my friend/crush (20M) is up to?

Notes: This post has plenty of story telling for background info. We are both in our 20’s not just 20. And finally, I had posted this originally on another subreddit but this may be a better place to post!
Also, please ask questions if any!!!
TLDR; My (F20’s) friend/crush (M20’s) hasn't responded to my texts for 2 weeks after he said he missed me. He's been online but is leaving me on delivered. Everything has gone positive and perfect up until now (us communicating although we aren’t a couple, us able to openly complement each other, he told his parents about me and then a couple days later I met them, him showing up to say goodbye before he left the state, and more) And I am nervous for the worst case scenarios: getting ghosted or he found someone. But why would he say he missed me if he was with someone? And also I have doubts he found someone because he has stuck with the “I don’t want a relationship right now” line for 5 years now. He lives on the other side of the country and has a higher intensity job, so him not responding could be that. But what do I do?
I (20'sF) have been friends with this guy (20'sM) for 5 years. We have a lot in common. From religion to music to overall interests. We can agree on a lot. I had a huge crush on him when we went to school. But he had rejected me because he didn't want a relationship. In which he has stuck to for the 5 years I've known him. After school he joined the military and I'd hear from him once or twice every couple of months. Which was okay because it gave me time to relieve my crush on him. But overall he was the ideal guy, I find him highly attractive, super intelligent, and overall a great person.
I never truly got over the crush, but I just let it sit in the back of my head.
We both went on with our lives, I had my first boyfriend. But it never worked out. But last summer he came home and asked if I wanted to go out. So I was excited to agree to it. We spent all day together, just talking about random stuff and catching up on life. He asked me to hang out again the next day so we went to a movie. It all went fairly well, it just felt like we were reconnecting and we became stronger friends.
After he left I went on with my life as he went on with his. I had gone out on one date with a former classmate from high school. And it didn't work out because there wasn't a connection. But when November came around, my friend had text me and asked if he should come home. In fact, his reasoning of coming home was to see his family and because he had missed me.
We had only talked 2-3 times a month between him leaving and him coming home again.
He came home in December and he had text me to make plans. He wanted to go ice skating and so he took me for the first time. He had insisted on putting my skates for me because I was struggling. And he wanted to hold my hand so he could protect me from falling. After that we went to a mall and he bought me a candle (and one for himself). Then we went to a pho cafe and had lunch. I got to hear his fun stories from when he had pho as a kid. It was so fun just listening to him be excited about what he likes. Although he isn't a talkative guy, he's always been known to be really quiet and introverted.
Later after that, we went back to my house and spent some time talking. He found interest in my rings and asked about them. He was just sitting next to me and ASKED if he could kiss me. I have never really heard of someone asking first. But I am also inexperienced in kissing, so that explains it. We had kissed and then we went up to my room and cuddled. We just appreciated each other's presence, kissing, holding hands, laughing, playing with each other's hair, all of that.
A couple days later, I saw this car rolling up my street slowly while I was out walking my dog. It happened to be him and his parents. They knew about me and wanted to see where I lived. So I got to meet his parents. Later on, my friend would text me and ask various questions his parents had for me.
I invited him over a couple days before he left for his home. I made him dinner and we had a drink or two. After that we went to my room again to watch tv and cuddle. We basically did what we did the previous time and some other things. The next day, I was just hanging out at home and I heard a car door outside. It was my friend. He stopped by to say goodbye before he left to go home. He said bye, kissed me once more, and then got in his dad's vehicle and left.
When he got home we talked almost everyday with maybe a 3-4 day break in between talking. Which was a huge step. He'd complement me, say that he thought I was really sweet, he wished me happy birthday 4 times (yes, 4 times. He was also the first to say it), and things of that sort. I returned the complements and so on. He even joked about us getting married. Which was so sweet. We've talk about how we missed each other several times and how we can't wait to see each other again. Talked about when he'll come home and that I'd be one of the main reasons he'd come home. Everything is great. Although he didn't want a relationship until the future. Which is okay, because he has stuck to that for the years I've known him. But everything still went fairly smoothly. It feels like a fresh breath of air.
I would always ask him how he is doing. Or he'd just tell me about his day before I could even ask. If I was delayed in response, I'd always apologize and he'd say there was nothing to be sorry about. He'd constantly reassure me. Which is a great sign, friend-wise and potential-partner-wise. He is such a great guy personality wise, highly intelligent, very kind, likes to listen but is generally a quiet person, always tells the truth, has a good sense of humor, and so on. He's also always happy for me when I talk about something like a job offering or something big in my life. As I'm always happy for him when he has something exciting going on. We're always supporting each other and hoping that we're in the best shape.
All the way up until 2 weeks ago, everything went incredibly well. I have never had a guy actually treat me like this. I mean, things could still be well, but who knows.
He had texted me one morning like usual. So I responded when I was able to (maybe an hour later). And I haven't heard from him since. I get that life gets in the way or he may have to prioritize something differently. But it is unlike him to just drop out. I've occasionally noticed that he had been online. So why isn't he responding? I know well that he isn't seeing anyone. Since he sticks to his word. Plus his last words to me were: "I miss spending time with you" (we were talking about something he missed from back home and that he didn't know when he'll get to return). I texted him after not hearing from him for a week and still nothing. I am afraid he is ghosting me although I feel like he wouldn't do such thing. I just get scared of that from past experiences. So, maybe he is just busy? Maybe he has something high-priority going on? Maybe he is just being his introverted self and kinda keeping to himself? We are just friends for now so it shouldn't bother me too much. But I still get worried for him. (although when I mentioned a few years ago that I got worried for him, he had said that he hopes I didn't worry too much). I understand that it would be difficult for us to date and that maybe right now wouldn't be a good time to date since neither of us are in a position to date (we're both still trying to find a balanced routine, calm down, take care of ourselves, and navigate being adults lol. plus I am just starting in a professional workforce so I am trying to balance life with that too).
What do I do? Does anyone have a take or any advice on this?
Note: please do ask questions incase I come off in a wrong or weird way. thank you!!!

2024.05.17 03:19 SeraphicVixen Advice on reaching back out to job after leaving suddenly due to mental health

One year ago I suddenly left my job as an analytical chemist at a lab due to mental health reasons. I had been working there for 1 year when I realized that I was transgender. I had questionable mental health during that year but I took care to not let it affect my work. But after I realized I was trans I became almost incapable of operating on a daily basis.
Over the next six months I got deeper and deeper into depression where eventually I couldn’t go an hour without contemplating suicide because of how much it hurt to pretend to be someone I wasn’t everyday. At this point I could no longer keep my workload up. I was falling behind on deadlines, leaving early, missing entire days just to rot in bed because anything else seemed impossible. Some point during this period I ended up telling my boss that I was depressed and implied I was experiencing suicidal ideation because I was asked why my work was slipping and I couldn’t think of anything else to say but the truth.
I was too scared to come out at work (even though they probably would have been fine about it in hindsight). And when it became too much I drafted an email and sent it to my boss saying I was resigning effective immediately and sent it over.
Over the last year I have been to therapy, began transitioning, and been medicated and am the best I have ever been in terms of my mental health. I want to reach out to see if they would consider my reemployment since before it became too much to handle I was a good employee and received no complaints. But I don’t know how I should go about doing that.
Tl;Dr - I quit my job because of transition and mental health and now that I can be a better worker than I ever was I want to see if they will employ me again but don’t know how to go about that.

2024.05.17 03:01 Same-Track-5919 I want to block my emom

Hey all, this is really long but I would really appreciate some perspective. It's the first time I'm sharing any part of my story.
So my (27f) brother(29m) and dad(60m) are complete narcissists. My dad embarrasses me in front of his friends to the point where they are shocked but always manipulate me into forgiving him because "he's my dad" and "that's just how he is". He tells everyone I'm the reincarnation of his mother and that I have cursed his soul, that I am trying to ruin and I'm the reason his life is a mess. He throws tantrums and cries and yells at me in front of his friends while simultaneously begging me to help him understand what he needs to do as a father because apparently he is trying his best and he is a "broken man" doesn't understand why I distance. He never does this when we're alone but any time I visit him (out of guilt) he spends the whole time complaining about his friends, girlfriends, he has told me disgusting things about my mother like that he had to pay her to have sex with him because she didn't love him. They have been divorced since I was 10.
My brother is verbally abusive and addicted to drugs. I lived alone with him as my mum moved out when I was 20 and she re-married. He was always shouting at me for no reason, he would bring his friends over and do drugs in the house. There were several occasions were I was scared for my life and also several occasions where I had to call ambulance because he was having seizures from the drugs. I would be woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of him violently banging his head against the floor, covered in blood, sweat and saliva, and have to hold him still until the ambulance came. I would still go to the hospital with him and take care of him, and he would continue the abuse once we got home. He would also throw my depression in my face all the time and tell me he wasn't doing anything wrong, and he only felt bad because I was "always depressed and he didn't want to be the reason I killed myself". It got so bad that I would jump at every little noise, I bought a lock for my door and would lock myself in my room whenever I was at home because I was scared he would come in and start shouting abuse or that he would black out from the drugs and attack me.
He never put his hands on me but the last time he got angry, he started yelling for over an hour "I'm not going to hold my temper anymore, I'm going to hurt you, I'm going to put my hands on you". My mum was there and desperately trying fix the situation. In the heat of everything, she kept telling me to open up and tell him how he makes me feel because "he's only acting like this because he doesn't know that it's affecting you" lol. I was completely shut down at this point, which is usually what happens when he gets angry. I just mentally shut everything out and stand there.
I moved out shortly after this. I asked my mum to tell him to go, but she said he has nowhere to go and she can't kick him out. I literally had to move 2 hours away to a village in the middle of nowhere all by myself because it's the only place I could afford to live by myself, and with my PTSD I knew I wouldn't be able to live with other people, I need space to freely express and process my emotions. No regrets, I love it here but it still sucks. Now he has gotten his girlfriend pregnant and surprise surprise, she was able to kick him out.
Fast forward, I cut off my dad and brother. Although they still leave me voicemails, my dad even emails me and tries to show up unannounced and buy me gifts. I allowed him to come over twice. The first time was after a huge tantrum, and my mum manipulate me into seeing him because she said he probably wants to apologise, and I just didn't have the strength to argue. The second time was months later and I had started healing my PTSD and less triggered. He had sent an email saying he sees where he has gone wrong and wanted to explain it to me. I said no and kept him blocked, but then a month later he called my mum and she called me to ask if he can come. I let him come over as I thought he has reflected and wants to apologise. Nope, he just wanted to introduce his new girlfriend to me. The gf also pulled me to the side and begged me to talk to my dad because "he's sorry and I'm taking him for granted, I'll regret it".
My mum became the middle man for my dad and brother even though I said I didnt want to hear anything about then, she continually mentions them in conversation. I have had MANY MANY conversations with her about how it triggers me, to the point that I wake up in the night with suicidal thoughts from the stress of it all. Each time she says she understands and she's so sorry I went through what I did. As soon as she thinks I'm in a better mood, she starts mentioning them again. This has been going on for a year. I don't think I can have a single conversation with her where she doesn't at least slip their names in somehow.
I started to realise that she has never protected me. Her and my dad left me to basically raise my 20 something year old brother who was addicted to drugs and had extreme anger issues, because they didn't want to deal with him. They knew I was on antidepressants and I always told them my brother was abusing me, and my mum witnessed it, and nobody helped me. They always just told me to forgive him AND THAT I AM TOO SENSITIVE?!
I find it extremely hard to confide in people, my mum was the only person I would go to when I was really spiralling and she always pretended she was on my side when she truly thought I was overreacting, and now it is getting thrown back in my face every time she disrespects my boundaries. We had a final conversation yesterday where she started telling me again that I am taking things too far by not talking to my brother and dad and that this is not who I really am, and "you're becoming an intolerable person". At least 10 times I repeated that I have complex PTSD and I am staying away to recover and that this is what I need and each time she repeated that she's so sorry, then 5 seconds later would say something along the lines of I'm doing too much and she's only doing what's best for me because clearly I'm still triggered. I told her of course, because she's triggering me... She says no, it's because I need to forgive them. I eventually told her that I am really angry with her and she tried to change the subject and start talking about random stuff and I hung up.
Growing up we weren't close, I was left to my own devices. It wasn't until I was 21 that I started confiding in her and ever since then we were really close and I have always sung her praises, loved her so much. But gradually the trust has been worn away and it is literally nonexistent now. I have been colder and emotionally detached with her whenever we are together. There have been so many lovely mother daughter moments but they are all clouded now. I really despise that she has always done the opposite of protect me and by her saying she is not taking sides, she is siding with my abusers. Because her emotional abuse has been covert and she is so sweet about it all, it has being going under the radar.
I want to block her and move on, but I am scared to not have any remaining family. I have 2 friends that have started opening up to and I trust, but it's not the same as family. It's just so hard to imagine life without family, although I believe I will actually be happier not feeling attached to any of them anymore and my mum is the last string. I want a happy life, not one where I am holding onto people that hurt me and force me out of character. I don't want people in my life that I feel so negatively about, it's not who I want to be or the life I want to live. But a part of me wants to hold on because maybe I might get over it and if I block her I'm throwing away what could be one of the most important relationships in my life.
I don't know what I wanted out of posting this, I think I just wanted to share. Any insights are welcomed.

2024.05.17 02:46 Left-Assumption-6669 Best Way To Power 5 HP DPS PSU's That Typically Have a C13 To 5-15P Cable

Excuse me if I mix up the 13 and 14 on this fast post.
I'm trying to put 5 HP DPS 460W PSU's in series to create about 65V to power a buck power supply (ZK6522 and XY6020L....RD6030 is on my list but its 4x the cost). I got these power supplies for $8 each by buying them in lots of a few PSU's. I like them because there's no way they will trip a breaker on a circuit and when I run my battery chargers (iCharger S6 and ToolKitRC M8P) I am rarely getting anywhere near the max power these two chargers are capable of....so my normal setup of two in series for a 24.5V 38A 920W power supply is PLENTY for me....the only downside I've noticed lately with the S6 is that when I am pulling more than 17A from the PSU's the fans really start to kick up and at 20A they are in full turbojet mode and no matter how long I wait they don't spool down to a reasonable level. So far I can't find any "fan mod" threads on RC Groups or similar forums that I *think* I've seen for similar PSU's.
So might switch to the 1200W models (900W on 120VAC) with two in series for my iCharger S6...but with the 60V 20A and 60V 22A PSU's I'm looking to power....should be pulling no more than 17A with 5 in series...so I think it'll be ok.
Trying to think of a budget way to get AC power to all 5 of these and maybe in a way that isn't.....just a mess of clutter. *I often prefer to have my wire oversized...sometimes excessively so this is why I am considering using 16AWG to each PSU with the overall single cable being 12AWG or 14AWG...but I would love for individual cables to be 16AWG and if there is a main trunk that to be 12AWG 1. There's a 5 to 1 C13/C14 cable on Aliexpress for $13 shipped but its 18AWG on the 5 branches and 14AWG on the main trunk...Then I spend a few dollars getting a C13 to 515P to plug it into a standard US outlet 2. Individual 3ft or 5ft C13 to C14 (or C13 to 515P) 16AWG (or yuck 18AWG) cables from one of the big names that comes up on Google...I see many of them have these cables for a few dollars even at 16AWG and 3 feet. 3....or if I go individual cable route I could get a PDU with C14 ports...because I'd like to have a PDU with a meter...but honestly I have individually switched 5 outlet power strip/surge protectors I could use with 515P cables and the C14 PDU would not be useful for anything else...but I just think it would be cool to have a dedicated PDU for this setup 4. Super ghetto wiring into the PSU's....I have about 400ft of 12AWG THHN stranded wire that is red. But no other colors which would bug me a bit. 5. A step up from the super ghetto....the plugs online and wire up my own cables using the 12AWG THHN I have 6. Splurge on some SJOOW cable (mmmm flexible) and some nice plugs and make my own C13 to 515P cables.
What would you guys do? I know this is kinda silly because the cheapest route (besides the ghetto one) is to buy the 5x splitter for $13 and spend a few bucks on another cable with 515P on the end (or I might have one laying around still...but I think I've used all of them up so far). As much as I'd love a metered PDU I could just buy another $8 KillAWatt knockoff or buy a Drok AC power meter and a box for it and have one of my power strips going through it.
Also I love individually switched stuff and I LOVE those 15A red inline switches you can get on Aliexpress...I've seen C13/14 cables with those switches on Aliexpress.
And of course if my idea to use $40 of HP DPS PSU's is flawed let me know. Just trying to avoid spending $90 on a 1200W 65V/68V PSU that isn't that junky one Riden says will blow up their RD series. Linconiah or something. They have their own and for a while were recommending NVVH?

2024.05.17 01:56 random1244579 I 20(M) have a crush on my best friend (20F). Should I talk to our other best friend (20F) about it?

Over the past year and some change, I (20M) have made an amazing friendship with 2 girls who I absolutely love and adore (both 20F). They've known each other basically their whole lives, and are inseparable. For the past few months, maybe since the new year but I can't give an exact time, I've developed really really strong feelings for the one.
Recently, we've been made to spend a lot of time together, almost every single day, due to our schedules for uni being practically identical, and us sharing friend groups. Every time that we're just the two of us together, we have the absolute best time together and it always gives such good relationship vibes. We go from dying of laughter together one minute, to belting out Usher in the car the next, to crying together because of a sad video on tiktok, to having meaningful philosophical conversations, and then back to laughter and on and on. I always just think of that "what could we possibly be?" question, and I think we'd be really good together. And I know I'm not the only one that sees it. Her parents and sibling, my parents, and a few other mutuals do too. The other day we got told we talk to eachother like we've been married for 20 years haha.
The more I get to know her, the more I realize that she's the only person I want to be in a relationship with. If I could choose traits for my ideal partner to have, she'd fit into every single category. In fact, she's why a lot of those categories are there in the first place.
I don't know if looked into this too much, but the other day she asked me about how I'd define love, what it means to love, and if I've been in love before. I know I'm looking at this through rose tinted glasses, but is that a question that someone just randomly asks someone else? I didn't really take it as that, but I feel like I may be wrong there.
I've been pining to tell her how I feel for a long time now (and when she asked that above question I really wanted to tell her), but haven't for a few reasons, the main one being that I know that I'm nowhere near her type physically, and unfortunately that's quite a big thing for her, but more than that, I'm scared of things changing between us. She's my favorite person in my life, and I never want that to change. I don't want to live a life that doesn't have her as a main character in my story. On top of that, I also don't want my crush to know because I fear this'll break the trust and level of safety we have in each other. I don't know if she'll ever be able to view me the same after this if she doesnt share my feelings.
The one person who I do really want to tell, is our mutual bestie, and other member of our little trio. If anyone were to know what she'd think or could possibly think, it's her. To put it bluntly, I think she's the only person who could get me to pull my head out of my ass and force myself to get over this crush (lol), or plant the seeds that'll blossom into something hopefully great. I just don't know if bringing someone else into this is the right move, especially someone so close to us. Should I have a chat with her and get her opinion or not?
I think what I'd say to her would also be important to note: Firstly, I'd ask her to keep this between us which I'm almost certain she would unless she felt it was gonna go somewhere. Then, I'd ask her what I should do, between A) confessing how I feel, and doing one of two things, those being either it goes how I want it to and we're all happy, or feelings aren't reciprocated, and I distance myself for a little bit while I get my head screwed on straight and get myself to a point where I can be the friend that my crush deserves (that being one that doesn't look at her and constantly want to be more than what we currently are). Or B) I keep quiet, and move on like nothing happened and hope I get over her somehow.
What should I do? Should I bring it up to our friend or not?

2024.05.17 01:55 Thick-Stick-8722 A man named Jay

There once was this man named Jay and he seemed at first ok. But after a while his true self came out and that's where life's harsh lesson came about. He met this girl he seen was sad she was tore up about her life and missed her mom and dad. He seen she was alone on this earth and then he decided to diminish her worth. so he played a dangerous game of truth and dare told her loved her and that she was rare. He made her feel special her loyalty he earned but in all reality he was just taking his turn. She opened up her heart to him and told him her story he used all that information so that one day he can make her sorry. She fell in love with him over a period of 5 years and then one day he just ghosted her and left her in tears. She didn't know what to do once again the world had deceived her and she was alone she really wish that her mom and dad were alive so she could call them on the phone. Not knowing what to do and devastated from her broken heart she wished this world and her would part. So she grabbed the blade and started cutting away and what do you know on her wrist she formed a j. Lucky for her her friend came to check to see if she was okay she found this girl on the floor and then she noticed the Jay. Off to the hospital the girl was rushed she's lucky she got there in time because the angel of death hadn't had a chance to touch. Her friend told her she was crazy and stupid and dumb how could she honestly do this over a man who's brain span is as big as her thumb. Her friend told her he ghosted her good riddance to him and she understood that right now she knew life seemed dim. Honestly ask yourself what is he ever done for you honestly ask your question do you think that his love is true. Because if it were so he would have been a man and called you and told you that him and you were through. Think about how much about you he knew he knew your struggles in this world and he knew what you would do. He knew that you had no one in this world today and what did he do he ghosted you and then left your memories away. You know he's going to prison for a very long time you think he don't have other b****** giving them their dimes. You were just another option so that he could be in jail and stay rich don't be mad at me her friend said I'm not trying to be a b*. Use your intuition that feeling you know so well because for months now you knew this was going to happen even in your dreams you could tell. You know your body's intuition and you know that your mind's right so when they gave you those horrible dreams every night. You should have listened and watched and left him without a fight. But that's not what you did and now you lay in this hospital bed strap down like a crazy person wishing he was dead. You have people that really love you out here don't worry about what he's doing in there we love you girl with all our hearts and we don't want to see you go far away and and part. As a matter of fact I grabbed your phone up and even sent him a message I told him that you tried to kill yourself and he didn't care he didn't even write back to check up on your health. So my friend don't you see he isn't a man he isn't anything to you or me. Come to the terms and accept the fact that he used you because if he ever cared about you he would never have mentally abused you. So take it from me a woman who knows to all the people out there that like to ghost those that they love that is abuse mental abuse. You're a strong person the friend said to her friend you've overcome a lot of obstacles and here you are still alive in the end don't worry about that man he's a womanizer the only problem is is that he seems to be getting wiser. Whoever he's with that he replaced you for just remember that every relationship that begins with a homewrecking w* is going to end the way it began and she'll be out that f****** door

Sure :)
It was on tv
No
It was on NBC Thursday night, their comedy night. I always watched.
When I was a kid, my parents watched the office when it was on right before 30 Rock. They didn’t watch 30 Rock, but they’d leave the TV on for background noise. 30 rock came on after bedtime for me, but I was a curious and devious 9-year-old, so I would sneak out of bed and watch the living room tv from the upstairs landing until I got caught. The furthest I ever got into an episode was about 10 minutes and I always wanted to watch more of the show. As an adult, I finally got the chance to watch full episodes, and I’ve watched the series through multiple times since.
The show started when I was in high school and my friends loved it. That's how I knew about it, but I didn't actually watch it until a couple years after college when I saw it on Netflix.

My wife started watching it and convinced me to try it.
I was doing a study abroad program in the South of France and was frantically torrenting any American show I could because of the homesickness. I watched the first episode of season 1 and was booked before she had finished giving away all the hot dogs. Binged through all of the first season (I'm originally from the Cleveland area, so all of the Cleveland positivity toward the end had me giddy!) and then season 2 began and I faithfully got the episode every week... Then the writers strike happened :(
I watched the first season AT LEAST 25 times through before I came back to the USA. And several dozen more times (plus all the other seasons) since!

PC

Discord Tag: 7up
Name and House: Ronnel Arryn
Age: 33
Cultural Group: Valeman
Appearance: Cheekbones poised like a falcon perched, an aquiline nose after a raptor's beak, a stature rivalling a mountain's (if it were the size of a tall man), and blue eyes the same color as the sky. Aside from a propagandist's parallels to whatever sigil their patron displays, Ronnel Arryn errs from the example of the aloof falcon. Once possessed of a heedless will, a brashness and an impatience, those qualities have been tamed in turn by fatherhood, husbandhood, and rulership—though those traits still persist, merely tinged by the manner that an elder brother might take with the younger. His hair has shifted from dirty blond to sandy brown with age, and a trimmed beard covers his jaw.
Trait: Inspiring

Biography

Little of the Last King’s early years are of much import; Ronnel Arryn was born to King Joffrey I and Queen Sharra Arryn. His few memories of his father were that of a pallid man, wan and sickly but still a king who bloody well fought the illness that plagued him.
Or perhaps those were just fanciful tales, an imagined story that supplanted the truth of the matter.
Joffrey Arryn did at least survive, if he did not fight. Ronnel’s siblings, Jonos and Roland, would be born in succession. The falcons grew in number, Joffrey’s ailment ceased, and—the gods took him away and brought Arwen Arryn into the world.
Shortly after his sister’s birth, Sharra Arryn dressed her son in royal regalia and placed a crown on his head, assuming rule as sole regent while the boy distracted himself with toys and games. He would be nursed with Marq Hardyng, and he and his milk brother grew to be quick friends.
The Queen Sharra could not rest. There were new contenders on the horizon, greater than what meager assaults the Hoares could occasionally muster against the Bloody Gate: the threefold conquerors atop their dragons. Where the ravens sent by Aegon were met with scorn by Durrandon and hubris by the Hoares, Sharra offered alliance. Her hand in marriage and the left bank of the Green Fork to be annexed into the Guarded Domains.
The dragons rejected the offer, and instead, a Velaryon fleet was sent to take Gulltown and establish a foothold. They were repelled and the Targaryen ships were sunk for that transgression, but Vhagar’s fire consumed the Grafton fleet with them.
Ronnel knew what war was. It was like those tales in storybooks, that of the Griffin King and the Winged Knight, the legends of the Battle of Sevenstars. He, Jonos, and Marq fashioned themselves as Jaime Corbray or Luceon Templeton and fought each other over who could best live up to Artys Arryn’s example. When the Gates of the Moon swelled with men-at-arms, knights, and levied smallfolk, the three would find the most fearsome looking of them and challenge them to duels. Once he heard of dragons, though, Ronnel was consumed. He begged his mother to let him lead a parlay under a peace banner just so that he could see them, but Sharra sent him off to the nurses or left him to kick rocks in the courtyard.
The banners gathered, and the defenses were headed by Lord Rodrik Hardyng. Orders were given, the soldiers were drilled. And Vhagar’s wings cast a shadow so large that it engulfed the Bloody Gate whole. Shouting on the ramparts and in the valleys, but high above in the Eyrie? Ronnel, then just eight, was in awe at the sight.
Sharra could only muster a smile when she returned to find her son on Visenya’s lap. An accord was struck, on Ronnel’s terms this time: he asked to fly on Vhagar and his mother would surrender the crown to the Targaryen Queen. The mercy that Visenya afforded was well-taken, though in Sharra’s mind, the threat of dragonfire crystallized.
A marked shift came then. There were no battles to be won, no politicking to be done that outweighed the import of her sons and her daughter. The Queen-Regent, now the Lady-Regent, empowered her son’s advisors and devoted her time to looking after her children. When Visenya returned after burning House Sunderland whole and gave reprimands, Sharra frowned and offered blunt words in turn, which the Queen acquiesced to. Their relationship thawed hence, though Ronnel had never wavered in his admiration of the Targaryen. A Winged-Knight-Come-Again. Perhaps he could ride a dragon of his own one day.
Ronnel was a rowdy lad and by the time he was of squiring age, he was content to leave the rule of his lands to his mother and whoever she picked as an advisor. Lords such as Lyn Egen, Willem Ryger, and Rodrik Templeton would come to advise the young lord or hawk with him. Lord Mathos Grafton became the most prominent of that cadre, his wisdom in old age allowing him more room for criticism. Ronnel wanted to while his time away with falconry and training, while the old lord reminded him of the issues that Targaryen reign brought.
At four-and-ten, Ronnel stole away from the Eyrie and gathered what boys and knights he could to face the mountain clans. He knew what war was; it was the Root Father and his savages, stealing and laying waste to the lands he was sworn to protect. It was in the throes of battle that Ronnel would be dubbed as a knight by some unknown dying man. The knighthood was left unmentioned, though the purpose he found for his rule—no, his guardianship—lingered.
In his victorious return to the Eyrie, Ronnel would be clouted on the ear for the stunt then barred from leaving for months. Visenya Targaryen landed once more in the Vale. This time, she took it as a home, and she was welcomed with open arms. Aegon’s heir was born in the Eyrie that year, dubbed as Laenor Targaryen and soon practically adopted by the Arryns as their younger sibling. Sharra would grow close to the dragon queen in the years to come.
A year later, Ronnel was sent to King’s Landing to squire for Orys Baratheon. Only a few months elapsed before he grew incensed with the Hand over one thing or another, and the squireship ended when the Arryn came to blows with his knight-master. Ronnel was sent back to the Vale, where he earned his spurs once more. Publicly this time, before a crowd of tourneygoers and then holding a vigil with oaths modeled after those of the Winged Knights.
Though he gave off the impression of a true knight by that time, he was more preoccupied with wine and women and the hunt than statecraft. In any room he entered, he laughed the loudest, boasted the loudest, fought the hardest, always with Marq at his side. Nothing but a scolding from his mother Sharra or a clout on the ear from his second mother Visenya could fetter him. He was a falcon, and he flew high and bright.
Such a lofty stature is bound to attract envy. As any elder brother would, he butted heads with his siblings often. His rivalry with his brother Jonos was much more than a sibling spat, however, though the nature and root of their rivalry is unknown to all but a select few. In later years, their quarrels grew louder and their rifts deeper, with Jonos having been sent thrice to play second fiddle to the Knight of the Bloody Gate, and threatened with taking the black twice as many times. Still, their early quarrels proved to be mere distractions, and they wreaked what havoc boy-lords would in taverns and winesinks.
But his lip had to become stiff the day his mother died, just a few months after he came of age and assumed power. Sharra Arryn's last words of advice ate away at his spirit.
"Kill the boy."
So he was offered at the altar, and so did Rhaenys Targaryen seize the opportunity. Ronnel Arryn would be wed to the Queen’s lady-in-waiting, Serena Stark, and that match was confirmed by Sharra’s will. Yet numb, he received his wife to be in Gulltown with courtesy, and they were wedded with haste. Once a Princess of the North and now the Lady of the Vale, Serena found no home in the Eyrie. Ronnel came to avoid her; going on hunts, staying at the Moongates or even the Bloody Gate, and offering only short conversation in their rare meetings.
It came to a head when Serena stated her intention to return to Winterfell. Ronnel gave a shrug in response, and asked when she wanted to depart. Jonos could be his heir if need be, and his mother’s death still dragged his thoughts, so why bother at all?
The intervention of one dragon queen then another halted the split: Visenya reminded Ronnel that Aegon made two marriages work at once. A raven carrying a letter from Queen Rhaenys arrived, affixed with a ring wrought of Valyrian steel. Ronnel gave it to Serena as a peace offering.
There was no parting from the Targaryens’ grand plans, it seemed. So Ronnel’s marriage with Serena began anew. She would be introduced to the Vale and its customs with feasts and tourneys, sitting on councils and holding court as the Lady of the Vale. In the same vein, more familiar items and furnishings were brought in from the North, and Ronnel would journey to the weirwood tree that the mountain clans held sacred to try to pray with his wife. He did not hear the old gods’ whispers and could not bear the stillness, but the two came to understand one another, and their marriage grew warm. Their first child, Robar Arryn, was born a year later, and the Tourney by the Maiden’s Bay would be held in his honor.
Ronnel settled into his reign. His liveliness returned, though boyish pursuits were restrained with fatherhood. He replaced the Keeper of the Gates of the Moon after the Cavaliers proved more competent, sent tax collector after tax collector when Witch Isle grew silent (and nearly called the banners before being dissuaded), and ensured that the mountain clans and any other would-be invaders were quelled while Lae Targaryen was raised to be a greater king than their father. The Brotherhood of the Winged Knights, once decrepit, grew stronger after pieces of the Winged Knight’s armor were found.
His second child, a daughter, would be born then. Faced with the choice of naming her after Sharra or Visenya, she would instead be named after her great-grandmother Cynthea. Artos Arryn would follow four years later, his name chosen by the Lady Arryn.
Another day in the Eyrie. Five-and-twenty years after Aegon's Conquest, and near thirty years into Ronnel's reign. He slides a razor over his cheek and coughs once into a fist. Ronnel opens his palm to see droplets of blood. He wipes his cheek. A shaving cut, no doubt and no matter.
The next week while he sups with his family, the coughs come back. He excuses himself, blames his trip to the valleys with a chuckle, and Jonos meets his gaze with a sidelong glance before shirking away.
He sees his maester without telling anyone. And once more after a hunt. Soon, he is left sitting on his bed with grains of sweetsleep in hand and a warning: he would die. And soon.
Ronnel Arryn is honorable. He is just, or at least just enough. But when he bounces his son on his knee and looks into smiling grey eyes where his Stark mother's are oft stern, he wonders whether the next Targaryen to come to the Eyrie would let little Artos fly or burn him and his family whole.
It is not enough. Ronnel Arryn is not just enough. As the last king yet walking on the earth of this damnable regent's kingdom, he needs to ensure that the next monarch in Laenor Targaryen sits firmly on the Iron Throne before he dies—honor be damned if need be, by any means fucking necessary. That is his duty to the realm. That is his duty to his wife and children, and that will be his legacy.

2024.05.17 00:12 FitAndHappyCompany I might be biased, but this is the shortest and most effective weight loss guide you will find on the internet.

Here is a brief outline on how to loose weight in a way that is sustainable, gets you long term results, and doesn’t make you miserable.
Before starting, here’s a few things to consider.
1) It doesn’t matter if you’re fit for 5 years, and unfit for 50. Weight management is a lifelong skill, you don’t just loose weight and that’s it, you want to manipulate your body to make you feel good over your short and miserable life ;) (I’m joking)
2) Weight loss is not complicated, in order to loose weight, you have to consume less calories then you burn.
3) Weight loss is not the hardest thing in the world. With a few tips that I will outline at the end of this post, it will make it 10 times easier to stick to a diet (yes this sounds crazy, but just listen)
Ok, so how do you loose weight? Here it goes…
There are two ways. The first one being the counting of calories way, and the second is more of an educated guessing game. I’ll talk about both, as the process is a bit different, with the latter being the inferior way (generally speaking, it’s not as easy on the motivation front, and might require more discipline)
Calorie counting way:
1) Go to google and look for a calorie calculator, enter your details and you will get a number. This calculator is not 100% accurate, but gives you a ballpark number.
2) Figure out how fast you want to loose weight. If you have been trying to loose weight for a while, but gain it all back, then consider loosing weight slowly (at a 300 calorie deficit) if not then it is up to you, you can start at a more aggressive diet (500 calorie deficit) for the first week, and if you feel like it’s draining on you, then eat at maintenance for a few days (3-7 days) and start dieting slowly again at a 300 calorie deficit.
Generally speaking: 300 calorie deficit = 0.3-0.5kg loss per week 500 calorie deficit = 0.5-0.7kg loss per week
It really depends on your body
Here is the juicy part that makes weight loss much easier, tips and tricks!
1) Eat a lot more protein. Protein helps you retain muscle whilst loosing weight, even if you don’t exercise. A good number to aim for is 1 gram of protein per lb of body weight. Less if your trying to gain weight (for my body builders reading this)
2) Eat foods that are satiating, Foods have different satiety levels, 200 calories of chicken will make you feel a heck of lot fuller then 400 calories of m&ms. Eat lean cuts of meat, white fish, egg whites, complex carbs, fruites, and veggies to make you feel full. Also opt for calorie friendly options of popular foods and drinks such as sodas, ketchup, ice cream, etc.
If you don’t believe me, try eating 1,000 calories of home cooked chicken without oil or sauces, and boiled potato. And then try eating 1,000 calories in McDonald’s. Your gonna feel like you just ate at a buffet after the chicken and potato, and your gonna crave more food and feel hungry after the McDonald’s.
3) Exercise, don’t do it. Let me explain, if you do intense cardio, you’re gonna be feeling a lot more tired, and wanting/craving food, your most likely better of siting on the couch all day and saying no to the 200 calorie snickers bar that you would have burned off doing 30 min of cardio.
Here’s what you do, you either don’t do it at all and try to get 10k steps per day, or you do something that you enjoy. This can be body building, calisthenics, or any sport that doesn’t feel like a chore. Playing football for an 1 hour is a lot easier then running on the treadmill for 30 minutes.
4) Leave space for snacks, eating 2,000 calories of ice cream vs 2,000 calories of salad will have the same result on your weight. Eliminating snacks will make you crave them, and eventually you will give in and binge. Leave a portion of your calories for a snack of your choice every day (I’d recommend 300 calories, but I love my snacks so I do a bit more)
5) Don’t take your day to day scale number personally, one day you could loose fat, but appear heavier on the scale because your body decided to retain more water that day. If you notice that on average the scale shows less on a weekly basis, you’re on the right track.
Non calorie counting way:
1) Eat at places that count calories for you, and take note of how much you ate. Eat at subway, chipotle, or other places that count calories. (Always ask for more protein, and go easy on the fats and carbs)
2) If you can’t, then when eating out, avoid sugary drinks, desserts, sauces, and tell whoever is taking your order to cook without oil or butter. Eat un-processed foods that are satiating such as steak with roasted potato’s.
3) You have to learn intuitive eating, avoid processed foods that make you crave more, stick to high quality food that make you feel satiated, and eat slowly. When you start feeling full, put the fork down and wait for 5 minutes. If you’re still hungry then continue eating slowly, if not then that’s it.
This was a pretty short guide, but I hope it has helped some of you.
If you have any questions, post them on this subreddit. I will reply to every question!

2024.05.16 22:01 x3DCoder Archean is now on Steam - The New Multiplayer Engineering Sandbox (and Space Sim)

Hello, I am the developer of Archean, which just released on Steam today, in Early Access.
Archean is an immersive Engineering Sandbox and Space Sim. The game is set on Earth, 3 billion years in the past, in the Archean eon.
This is a challenging sandbox that can be played solo or multiplayer with dedicated servers. It also happens to be a full scale Space Sim but it doesn't force you to do space stuff.
This game (and custom engine) is developed by a single programmer (myself) in a small team of two.
This project is my baby, I've been working on it for more than 13 years, starting over many times, until the technology got to where it needed to actually make it happen.
It's priced at USD 19.99 but there is a 25% discount at the moment for the release!
NOTE: You require an NVIDIA RTX graphics card to be able to play it. It won't run on a GTX or an AMD gpu.
EDIT: We got a huge backlash because of this RTX requirement here on reddit, even though the Steam sales have been great so far, 90% of customers are actually playing, and the market share of RTX gpus at 51% speaks for this. The Ray-tracing capabilities of this game are not just about better graphics quality, it's more of a requirement that's part of how we're innovating with the technical possibilities in this game, being full scale and totally dynamic. We know we'll be losing sales over this, and we're willing to absorb that loss. Ray-tracing is just misunderstood at best. In reality, it's a totally different way of rendering, a more proper way that is, and other games just don't use it to its full potential because they want to stay backward compatible. We may be the first to use it fully and require it, but it's the future, and RT adoption will only increase with time. Ray-tracing actually runs FASTER than rasterization, when used alone without backward compatibility, in a very complex and dynamic scene. Now back to the game's description!
Current Features

Future Updates

Immersive Engineering Sandbox

We offer a very advanced, high precision build and engineering system with small resizable blocks from 25 cm to 4 meters. In this game, you have to connect components with actual cables/pipes for power, data and fluids. Build in-game live in an immersive way, not in an editor. Code your own logic in virtual computers, using pure code or a node-based visual programming system.

XenonCode

We have developed a new programming language designed to be easy to learn and optimal for in-game virtual computers. The game has a built-in cooperative editor with syntax highlighting and multi-cursor support, as well as a node-based visual editor to facilitate scripting.

Adventure Mode

In this mode, you begin with nothing in your backpack. You have to gather resources and craft everything you need. You start by hand, picking up rocks, build mining rigs, build automated machines and so on. Some resources are underwater, some are at the highest mountain peaks. It's up to you to build vehicles that can get there. The ultimate goal is to reach the Moon.

Native Ray-Tracing

Our innovative renderer is fully ray-traced with a great performance. This is not a eye-candy, it's actually a necessary feature for this game to even exist, because of its dynamic nature. Since the content will be mostly user-created and it's set to be moddable out-of-the-box, we cannot afford any artist-driven baked lighting, and with the full scale aspects with customizable solar system, we need the sun(s) lighting to be completely dynamic based on the real-time scenario, instead of tweaking shadow maps and reflection probes manually like other games do. The entire scene is rendered in a single ray-tracing pass with many recursive light bounces. This allows for realistic hard shadows, perfectly reflective mirrors and physically correct refractions. Just make sure you have an NVIDIA RTX graphics card and you're good to go.

Space Sim

The final goal of this game is to be a Full Scale Space Sim with the entire solar system. At the moment we have the Earth and the Moon, Orbital Mechanics and Re-Entry effects based on velocity. There is no artificial speed limit, so you can actually orbit realistically at 8 km/s. You can also dock with your friend's ship while in orbit, if you're good.
We have great plans for this game, and we swear by our 5 commandments:

1. Thou shall obey physics

It's NOT arcade-style and we do not underestimate our players. You must understand science or be willing to learn some physics. The game features realistic 6-dof space physics without any artificial speed limit. As far as we know, it's the only multiplayer space sim where you can dock with your friend's space station while in space at Full Orbital Velocity. This game is NOT meant to be a dogfight-style space shooter because that would not be practical with realistic physics.

2. Thou shall not see "Loading..."

Seamless transitions, no loading screens, EVER! From ground to orbit to another planet... it's all seamless. The game also happens to "load" pretty much instantly... For reference, in our Quadcopter video, the recording started BEFORE the game's executable was launched.

3. Thou shall not hit a wall

No fake boundaries. No skyboxes. No predefined paths. IT's a true Open World game, and it's all full scale. If you see a mountain, it's not a texture... You can just walk there and climb it if you have the courage... But I would just build a Rover or some kind of aircraft to get there faster. The moon that you see from the surface of Earth is the actual moon's terrain that you will land on, if you manage to build a good enough rocket, that is. The stars you see are individually rendered points in 3D space. It's not a skybox. But let's be honest you won't ever be able to reach another star.

4. Thou shall not be Thee

Immersive, first person controls and no cutscenes. There will NEVER be a point where the player loses control of their avatar to a cutscene or to some long animation. This game will keep a focus on First Person Immersion. Even though there is a 3rd person view available, it's mostly for taking screenshots, the game is not meant to be played this way.

5: Thou shall make sense

Everything has a realistic purpose based on science. Nothing should be fake, and in-game technologies must be at least plausible with some math behind it. This means that there is no such thing as magical artificial gravity. There are only two ways to have gravity in your spaceship when you're in space:
Also, there will be no Faster Than Light space travel. The math for a plausible Warp Drive would not allow that, but will let you multiply your acceleration quite a bit, in a way that you can travel up to 99% the speed of light.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2941660/Archean/
I sincerely hope you'll enjoy this game a lot, as I did developing it and will keep enjoying working on it for years to come.
