I absolutely despise eating at the dining hall (except for my 2x a day salad from the salad bay) but I go anyways because I feel guilty just letting money be wasted—so I at least try and go once a day. However, the dining hall nutritional information literally makes me want to smack my head into the wall. It is always either completely wrong, doesn’t match the calories online vs in person, or fluctuates depending on the day. For example, they posted that their little chocolate pudding parfait was just 90 cals it had the tiniest amount of Oreo cookie crumble on top with a dollop of whipped cream on top. I was a bit skeptical but grabbed one and it immediately tasted way too sweet to be any sort of sugar free pudding/low cal whipped cream. I ate it anyways because I’m trying (and failing lmao) at recovery rn. I go back to the next day to see if they have it again and lo and behold that little pudding cup was ACTUALLY 210 calories?? I was horrified. I plugged the new number into mynetdiary for that day and saw how much it made me go over so what would’ve been a highres day immediately got 10x more restrictive 🙃🙃
The same is for the French fries. One day, 90 cals. The next day? 340. Ugh. It makes eating even more stressful than it already is. At least I can fall back on foods like chicken breast and black bean burger patties because they’re much easier to estimate :’)

I've owned my Polestar 2 for 3 weeks now and have a lot to say about the car.
TLDR: - Looks good on the outside and inside with performance and plus packs - Pilot pack adds to an interesting driving experience - Range and electric adds to longer journeys due to charging time and public charging prices are more expensive than petrol
Model Year: 2021 Interior: WeaveTech in Charcoal with Black ash deco - This option is a little dull to be honest. I haven't been in a Nappa Polestar but in pictures that looks really nice. I believe even the slate would look better. - I do like the comfort of the seat but I have had comfier seats. Where it really shines is the number of adjustments you can make to it. - The golden seat belts to match the brake calipers on the performance pack are a nice touch - The centre console is occupies a lot of space without providing much storage. They have tried to give some of that back with the little side storage on it which I like the concept of - no major comments about the controversial cup holder but I wish the centre storage where the second cup holder is had more space - The infotainment system is a little slow and I wish the screen had a button to turn it off for when it's not needed. Overall though I like the Android OS and can see potential once it has time to mature some more. The risk is Google likes to randomly end projects so who knows if it will get canned in some nearby year. - I really like the integration of Google maps. Firstly into the driver HUD and secondly that it can read the battery level and automatically add stops for charging points - The 360 camera is nice but I wish that the view had rear camera in a split screen. Still it's not too bad as I can use the mirrors at the same time to help. - The design of the gear knob is cool, especially with the Polestar logo. - I have the panoramic roof which I think is really cool. Unfortunately as the driver you do not get to enjoy it much. - I wish the lights had more colour options other than white - I like the music auto plays when I sit in the car - I like that there is no on/off. I just sit and drive. - The Harmon sound system is okay but could be clearer. I haven't played around with the mixer yet so maybe need to adjust that for better sound quality.
Exterior: Midnight Performance Pack - Overall I like the exterior of the car. It was one of the main reasons that I bought it. Especially with the performance pack. - Not 100% sure about the front grill though - The front lights look pretty cool. I like the motion they make when you lock/unlock the car. I have the Pixel lights and seeing them in action is awesome. - I think the back looks really nice. I think the rear light looks futuristic and the motion it does when you lock/unlock the car puts the icing on the cake. - The Polestar logo on the car blends in really nicely and isn't so in your face. - The rimless wing mirrors look great. Now whenever I sit in other cars I notice the ugly frame around the wing mirrors. The blind spot warning lights on them are really useful too. - The car has an interesting stance making it somehow look bigger than it really is - The two tone alloys and eye catching yellow brembo brake calipers make a nice combination
Motor: Long range Dual motor - It makes the range a little too short . It has over 50 miles less range than the long range single motor. Despite this I like having the additional performance power available and therefore I am willing to make the sacrifice. - The reduced range and longer recharge time versus a petrol car does add time to roadtrips unfortunately. Charging prices on the road mean the long journeys are more expensive than a petrol car as well. However for local driving it is great and charging at home is very easy and convenient.
Driving experience - The instant acceleration is fun and for this reason I'm seriously considering getting the performance software upgrade. - The steering, even on the firmest setting is still too light for me and doesn't really feel connected to the road. This is to be expected for this kind of car I guess. There is understeer when pushing it a bit as well. Interesting that you can make the car slide. - I am a convert to single pedal driving it is really nice to not really have to use the brakes. I really like going into corners and not having to use the brake to adjust the speed, as well as when having to come to a stop just letting go of the pedal and slowing nicely to a stop. - I'm undecided whether to have creep on or off. I have it on at the moment but I'm considering turning it off - adaptive cruise control with the lane control is amazing on motorways, the car is almost driving itself. Not so useful in local driving, especially in the UK but there's nothing wrong with old fashioned less autonomous driving - I had a fun experience with the rear collision detection. I thought the seatbelts were trying to choke me but after a moment realised that the car is trying to protect me when it thought someone was going to hit me from behind. I love that feature.
Keys: - The fat keys are too big but I barely use them - the active lifestyle key is slim and combined with the touch sensitive door handles suits me very well - I do not believe in my phone enough yet to use it as a full time key however it is very convenient when I just need to go to the car for any quick reason. I don't have to take my key with me because the phone is the key making it a lot more convenient. The polestar app is fairly limited but it's useful to see the battery charge, whether you forgot to lock it and where the car currently is.
One last point that I didn't really know where to fit is that I really like the online documentation that is available for the car, it's really clear and explains a lot of things and I can search through it using Google

Despite this I like having the additional performance power available and therefore I am willing to make the sacrifice. - The reduced range and longer recharge time versus a petrol car does add time to roadtrips unfortunately. Charging prices on the road mean the long journeys are more expensive than a petrol car as well. However for local driving it is great and charging at home is very easy and convenient.
Driving experience - The instant acceleration is fun and for this reason I'm seriously considering getting the performance software upgrade. - The steering, even on the firmest setting is still too light for me and doesn't really feel connected to the road. This is to be expected for this kind of car I guess. There is understeer when pushing it a bit as well. Interesting that you can make the car slide. - I am a convert to single pedal driving it is really nice to not really have to use the brakes. I really like going into corners and not having to use the brake to adjust the speed, as well as when having to come to a stop just letting go of the pedal and slowing nicely to a stop. - I'm undecided whether to have creep on or off. I have it on at the moment but I'm considering turning it off - adaptive cruise control with the lane control is amazing on motorways, the car is almost driving itself. Not so useful in local driving, especially in the UK but there's nothing wrong with old fashioned less autonomous driving - I had a fun experience with the rear collision detection. I thought the seatbelts were trying to choke me but after a moment realised that the car is trying to protect me when it thought someone was going to hit me from behind. I love that feature.
Keys: - The fat keys are too big but I barely use them - the active lifestyle key is slim and combined with the touch sensitive door handles suits me very well - I do not believe in my phone enough yet to use it as a full time key however it is very convenient when I just need to go to the car for any quick reason. I don't have to take my key with me because the phone is the key making it a lot more convenient. The polestar app is fairly limited but it's useful to see the battery charge, whether you forgot to lock it and where the car currently is.
One last point that I didn't really know where to fit is that I really like the online documentation that is available for the car, it's really clear and explains a lot of things and I can search through it using Google

I (48F) don’t even know where to begin so let’s start from the end. My daughter, D, (18F, I’ll use an initial for my daughter’s name) graduated high school Tuesday night. I organized a graduation dinner at a nice restaurant Wednesday night on me as part of her graduation present. I picked mom up for the graduation ceremony Tuesday night and mom starts to take digs at me. She has been taking digs at me for a week now ever since my daughter and her reconciled. I have backstory about that further down. I let those digs go since they were in the middle of the ceremony and my ex husband was seated next to us in the arena.
Fast forward to the next day, Wednesday, I am hustling all day to get ready for the graduation dinner. I got flowers from the grocery store and arranged two different bouquets into one. I went to Party City to pick up balloons that I ordered online. I had contacted a local home baker for my daughter’s allergy free graduation cake so I also picked up her cake. These were all things that I had intended to bring to the restaurant as a surprise. After checking with the restaurant about bringing the cake, it turns out the restaurant has an allergy safe dessert so I can’t bring it. I pivot and I let my daughter know that I have a surprise graduation cake for her and that I would like to drop it by her dad’s house. It had a whipped frosting so it required refrigeration as soon as possible. I pick up the cake at the 2:30pm. Ask my daughter if she is home and can I bring it by. She says yes and that her dad isn’t home but maybe we could have a slice together. I said that I don’t have a lot of time (I needed to pick up mom for dinner at 4:45pm plus squeeze in a little work and get ready for dinner) but worst case I can take a slice to go for me and mom. We ended up having a slice with her dad because he came back home right away. I go home. Get dressed for dinner, work on a few work emails, and run to pick up mom.
When I get there, she doesn’t say hello but asks me where her cake is. I groan because I forgot it in the fridge but I can tell that something is off. She then asks me hostilely why I didn’t invite her to my ex’s house for cake. I tell her that it was spontaneous and there was a lot going on in preparation for the graduation dinner. It didn’t occur to me in that moment that my daughter should have been the one to ask her over since it’s not my house. Nor did it occur to me in that moment, that my mom and D must’ve talked about this cake thing.
So I am driving to dinner and my mom is not letting this go. She starts to lay into me about excluding her and I calmly ask her to stop. She continues and starts raising her voice. I tell her there wasn’t anything intentionally done and it was spontaneous! She is yelling on the top of her lungs at this point so I yell back that I have not done anything wrong here and that she needs to cut it out. At this point she starts saying that she needs to get out of the car. I tell her to keep it together for my daughter’s sake. I stop at a stop light and she jumps out after thrusting the glass vase with the flowers at me that she was holding. I start crying and call my daughter immediately. She empathizes, asks what happened, I tell her that I don’t want to ruin her night but she insisted so I pour my heart out and cry most of the way there because our ETA was similar. Note that she is in the car with her dad and best friend and in hindsight I think that I might’ve been on speaker. I arrive at the restaurant with the flowers and balloons and we are having a nice time. Halfway through eating our entrees, my mom shows up. I didn’t tell her where the reservation was. My mom likes to be taken to things and doesn’t care to know in advance where we are going so this is normal for us. I was shocked. My mom looks around the booth and my ex makes room for her. I didn’t move in my shock but I don’t think that I would have made room for her regardless. While she is talking to my ex (whom she has hated for years based on how he treated my dad as my dad was dying), my daughter leans over and asks me if this was okay and I tell her that I didn’t tell mom where we were going. D says that she didn’t either.
Mom doesn’t look at the menu but is prepared and orders her entree. Keep in mind, she has not been to this restaurant before. I ignore her and do not make eye contact from across the table. I have never seen her eat that fast. I lost my appetite the minute she arrived. After she finishes, she leaves the booth to visit to the restroom. At that point, I tell my daughter that to be clear I was not okay with this. My daughter says why and I respond because of how she treated me and she says how did she treat you and I looked at her shocked and said I told you just after it happened. She says oh and then says well I am glad she came. So at this point, I am shocked again. This seems intentional and not coincidental. I had thought maybe it was coincidental because I had talked about what entree I was thinking about ordering. We finish up and I pay for dinner. We leave together. I haven’t spoken to either since.
I would talk to my mom everyday and text my daughter everyday. I initiate those points of contact. I haven’t spoken to either of them since Wednesday. Neither has reached out to me. Am I off track here? What on earth is this? It feels like manipulation and backstabbing. It feels like my daughter went behind my back and triggered my mom against me. I’m trying to understand but I am too close to this to see it clearly. Please help me understand if I messed up or what I should do. I frankly don’t want to speak to either of them for awhile which works out since I am going out of the country for 20 days in less than a week.
Some background; D has been living her last year of high school with my ex husband (53M) because her high school, college (she was talking a college class in the mornings and high school in the afternoons), and work in the evenings were all closer from his house than mine as I live 30 mins away from those areas. She also favors him as he acts as a roommate versus a dad towards her.
She reconciled with my mom (74F) last week after they stopped speaking for 2.5 years. My mom was not understanding of my daughter’s medical diagnosis then and was mean/hurtful about it so my daughter stopped talking to her. I would consistently suggest reconciliation to both of them whenever they would ask about each other because it’s just the three of us. My dad passed 12 years ago. My family on my mom’s side has passed and the remaining family (my mom’s sister and her two daughters that I grew up with) are toxic so we don’t speak to them. They are toxic in the sense that when my grandma died they drafted a fake Will and filed it with the courts cutting mom out.
Ever since D and mom reconciled, my mom has been taking digs at me. Mom has always done this whenever something bothers her. She has been saying things like at least D talks to your face. I am old school and respectful to my elders. My daughter, on the other hand, is influenced by her dad and speaks disrespectfully to whomever she disagrees with. I have been setting boundaries and sticking up for myself with my mom recently.
I’m am trying to figure out what is happening here. I don’t think that I am off track feeling hurt and betrayed. I also don’t think it would make a difference to talk to them until I get back. Am I missing something? Please help me objectively understand.

Me and my friend didn’t really care much at that point but we noticed that the sportsbook took away the cashout button completely now. Come the 89th minute, the team up 3-1, scores another goal making the match 4-1 which is one goal under 5.5. I thought okay now the games decided and no one will have the passion to keep playing.
The extra time finally showed there was only 2 extra minutes awarded during the match, and the time read 93:40, and the ball was at the losing team with 1 goals side, I remember at this moment the announcer of this game saying “surely they’re gonna call the game now, it’s well beyond the extra time!” And at that moment, a player on the team up 4-1 hits the ball to a wide open player at the half field mark, and this player takes off running towards his own net, at this point it’s 1v1 vs the keeper and he missed! But the ball ricocheted off the goal post and another player scored the ball 🤣
I’ve been gambling ever since and lost around $30k. And was my friend the reason for my gambling addiction ?

I was inspired to make this game by a friend who I met in the Medieval Survival game Reign of Kings. We used to host The Kingdom of Camelot server together and as Keeper of Justice I would publicly execute cheaters with our community, great memories! Seeing the game not progress, but loving the core concepts of it, I took it upon myself to try to make a similar type of game with more interactive elements and PvE areas to explore with updated graphics in Unreal Engine 5.

Growing up I loved to build with Legos, as a lot of kids do, and I was very fond of creating huge Castles and destroying them with my besieging armies. Castles and base building are so fun for me and it's very exciting how I have been able to get it to work online in a multiplayer setting where people can build huge Kingdoms together. By utilizing a snapping building system the options are endless for the Castle pieces we can add and the different tiered structures / workstations to build around the Castle.

In addition we have been adding farming, cooking, and incredibly intricate crafting recipes to progress your character as you explore more difficult areas and fight more dangerous monsters. I plan to devote at least the next 10 years of my life to building this alongside my fledgling community that shares the passion for building, crafting, intertwined with the medieval genre.

In addition to building another major focus for me is on a new fighting system that feels realistic, bloody, and gruesome. I love the feeling we have created by researching medieval combat and using animations that are inspired from the medieval era. It still needs a bit more blood in my opinion but the squelches and screams really make a rewarding experience when in a fight against a bunch of enemies.
Another massive base build!
The fire magic feels great to wield but had to nerf our meteor storm as it was discouraging for players to have their bases wiped out so easily with fiery death. Siege weapons like ballista, catapult, and trebuchet are starting to work well, with the trebuchet being one of my personal favorites with how it turned out. My roadmap includes the addition of siege towers and battering rams in the near future.
To The Dungeons:
Any idea and all feedback is welcome, I really appreciate the criticism as it helps me learn and grow. Making this game involving the community is so important for me as it helps it grow in a positive non toxic direction. This was almost published by Snail Games USA, but I declined the offer based on their reviews and reputation of their CEO cheating in ARK.
The Keepers of Justice WILL Prevail!! - My Quest System Says So At Least
My strategy to help combat cheaters and toxicity is by hosting official whitelisted servers that are managed by something similar to DND Dungeon Masters! Having active admins that can manipulate world variables and help unfold the story of a server with different admin tools could make for some very interesting and innovative online multiplayer gameplay.
This has been a very hard 2 years for me, I have done 3 point studio lighting on thousands of our assets to make the icons beautiful, integrated some of the most amazing systems ever built, and have had the honor and blessing of receiving help from hundreds... maybe thousands of talented geniuses from all around the world. Ensuring everything works well, looks great, and sounds amazing has been a true scientific task and to see player build, craft, and create amazing things and enjoy their time humbles me and bring great joy to my heart.

Past Work:
I made my first game Best in the West in Unity, a 10 man micro royale where you ride an old steam train into a wild west town and as the train whistle blows and the doors swing open it's a run and gun em down shoot em up cowboy style - free to play. Unity was not very fun for me and after switching to Unreal Engine I felt that I really got to focus on the game development and not the optimization of textures and culling properties.
So lets press on together and keep doing our best to bring people together through building, adventure, and making a GG (GOOD GAME NOOB!) with love. <3

Good marrow and greetings people of the Realm! My name is Curtis Ashford and I am a game developer, father of 3 (soon to be 4), and Neuroscientist that publishes in Alzheimer's disease research. I am a huge fan of the early Diablo franchise 1 and 2, World of Warcraft, and survival games like Rust. I try to play almost every title I can get my hands on! Base building in survival games has a special place in my heart and I love the gathering of resources and making something that is functional and I can be proud of. That is what I am trying to capture with my game Crestfallen.

There are quests to explore, portals to venture into, factions of enemies to fight against, and people to make lasting memories with. You can form parties, guilds, and interact with each other with in game voice chat and be whatever you want to be.
The Map of IronGuard Summit
Choose a progression into magic, farming, or master the blade with a skill and stat point progression system to level up. As we grow out our team we look forward to expanding the maps, adding more magic, and more everything as we move along in our development. Some of my favorite parts of the game are fighting the harder knights and bowmen up at the Castle and attempting to overthrow the Evil King within and his (SPOILER).
Full Plate Armor - Tons of Crafting Stations and Craftables
I was inspired to make this game by a friend who I met in the Medieval Survival game Reign of Kings. We used to host The Kingdom of Camelot server together and as Keeper of Justice I would publicly execute cheaters with our community, great memories! Seeing the game not progress, but loving the core concepts of it, I took it upon myself to try to make a similar type of game with more interactive elements and PvE areas to explore with updated graphics in Unreal Engine 5.

Growing up I loved to build with Legos, as a lot of kids do, and I was very fond of creating huge Castles and destroying them with my besieging armies. Castles and base building are so fun for me and it's very exciting how I have been able to get it to work online in a multiplayer setting where people can build huge Kingdoms together. By utilizing a snapping building system the options are endless for the Castle pieces we can add and the different tiered structures / workstations to build around the Castle.

In addition we have been adding farming, cooking, and incredibly intricate crafting recipes to progress your character as you explore more difficult areas and fight more dangerous monsters. I plan to devote at least the next 10 years of my life to building this alongside my fledgling community that shares the passion for building, crafting, intertwined with the medieval genre.

In addition to building another major focus for me is on a new fighting system that feels realistic, bloody, and gruesome. I love the feeling we have created by researching medieval combat and using animations that are inspired from the medieval era. It still needs a bit more blood in my opinion but the squelches and screams really make a rewarding experience when in a fight against a bunch of enemies.
Another massive base build!
The fire magic feels great to wield but had to nerf our meteor storm as it was discouraging for players to have their bases wiped out so easily with fiery death. Siege weapons like ballista, catapult, and trebuchet are starting to work well, with the trebuchet being one of my personal favorites with how it turned out. My roadmap includes the addition of siege towers and battering rams in the near future.
To The Dungeons:
Any idea and all feedback is welcome, I really appreciate the criticism as it helps me learn and grow. Making this game involving the community is so important for me as it helps it grow in a positive non toxic direction. This was almost published by Snail Games USA, but I declined the offer based on their reviews and reputation of their CEO cheating in ARK.
The Keepers of Justice WILL Prevail!! - My Quest System Says So At Least
My strategy to help combat cheaters and toxicity is by hosting official whitelisted servers that are managed by something similar to DND Dungeon Masters! Having active admins that can manipulate world variables and help unfold the story of a server with different admin tools could make for some very interesting and innovative online multiplayer gameplay.
This has been a very hard 2 years for me, I have done 3 point studio lighting on thousands of our assets to make the icons beautiful, integrated some of the most amazing systems ever built, and have had the honor and blessing of receiving help from hundreds... maybe thousands of talented geniuses from all around the world. Ensuring everything works well, looks great, and sounds amazing has been a true scientific task and to see player build, craft, and create amazing things and enjoy their time humbles me and bring great joy to my heart.

2024.05.18 17:18 MidasState I 25M was stalked by a colleague 40F who got fired for it then hired back in HR
TLDR - much older female colleague built up fantasy relationship and caused havoc. If someone is inappropriate at work report it instantly.
This happened several years ago when as a 25 year old man I was stalked and harassed in a serious way by a 40 year old woman at my previous workplace. Office job in the UK and she was brought in via agency 3 years after I'd started (permanent contract which will be important later) and was maybe 7 or 8 seats away from where I sat.
The team was 30ish people so there were people who I worked with who I rarely interacted with not related to work. She was one of them. We weren't friends or friendly.
A week before the teams Christmas do (out in town not an official event) and out of the blue she messaged me on the work platform asking would I be going. Told her I wasn't due to a family birthday and thought nothing of it. The family member then got sick and I ended up attending the Christmas do and she did not.
After that everything went crazy.
When we returned to the office after Christmas she was on holiday in Spain but we were told that she had been moved to sit next to our boss, 30 year old female and team leader also 30 year old female. Didn't think anything of it or relate it to the works do but was pretty distracted by the extremely explicit naked pictures she'd emailed to my work email. I deleted them immediately and was conflicted as to what to do. I'd recently split from my long term girlfriend who also worked in the business and did not want to be going to IT about explicit pictures on my email account.
After work I confided in my brother about it, as he also worked there, and although he found it hilarious he advised me to message her on social media telling her not to do that. Terrible advice, if in this situation report it immediately. I however added her on a media platform and sent a message to the effect of please do not do that again I could lose my job. She immediately shut down the account.
When she returned she never approached me or spoke to me but over the next few weeks I was coming in to post it notes in my drawers, cakes at my desk and gestures you might expect from a partner but this was a woman I'd barely spoken to. I tried a different approach this time and just ignored them and would leave them where they where untouched hoping she'd get the hint but people next to me had started to notice. I was telling them I didn't know who was doing it as I felt bad for her and didn't want to out her to everyone.
What I didn't know, was that she was actually telling a group of women around her, including my team leader and manager, that we had been dating since the Christmas do, after which I'd supposedly gone back to hers. All of this was a complete fantasy. I can't prove it and they denied it but I'm almost positive that some of the things being put on my desk had the co-operation of my manager at the time.
She then reactivated the social media account and had started to send messages in the early hours of the morning at the weekend. I didn't reply to any and asked a police woman friend what I should do who advised logging everything she was doing, times and dates, and take it to my managers manager. I started doing this.
Before I could go to my managers manager however I was pulled aside by HR and my manager as the stalker had accused the 40 year old married co worker I sat next to of sexually assaulting her in the train station and that I was the only witness. She'd come up with some complete nonsense of him pushing his private parts against her when hugging her goodbye and making a lewd comment along the lines of what was she going to do about it. Of course I as the knight in shining armor "boyfriend" had pulled him off her and we'd got into a fantasy altercation.
Livid, I told them everything that had been going on, had to vehemently deny that I was in any sort of relationship with the woman and have my manager try to tell me she believed I was and that I needed to be honest as this was now a serious issue. They suspended my co worker, who had worked there for 20 years, and threw a grenade in his marriage and reported it to the police. I was telling them over and over that I wasn't there, that I got a lift home not the train and flat out did not think this could or had happened. The following Monday I came in to a gift box of shortbread on my desk and finally lost my temper and went straight to HR and asked for a face to face meeting with HR present.
I told her that we weren't in a relationship, we never had been and I wanted her to stop bringing me gifts and sending me messages. She never said a word and stared out of the window the entire time until HR asked is there anything she'd like to say to me at which point she looked me dead in the eye and said "I just want to be friends". Was awful, I told her that I wanted her to leave me alone or I would go to the police.
After that everyone knew what was going on and everything started to come out then, anyone I was close to or friendly with she had been telling malicious and bizarre lies about, the guy who gave me a lift home had tried to run her over, my ex had grabbed her in the toilet and told her to stay away from me, my brother had been sending her explicit messages. It was a Web of lies about everyone I knew. Some had been reported to HR and people had no idea.
Finally a woman on another team had sat next to her on the train home and she'd told her how the co worker she'd accused of sexual assault hadn't done anything but that she didn't think he was good for me to be around and she was hoping he'd get sacked. She made other outlandish claims and threats including that she'd like to stab a female colleague I was friends with. This woman was so alarmed that she reported her the next day and the business finally seemed to realise she was nuts. I was taken aside and assured that she was being let go and that she'd admitted that my co worker had never touched her and that wasn't going any further.
Being on agency they let her go immediately, however my manager can't have disclosed to the agency/business why she was let go as within a week it came up on a work email that she'd accepted a role as HR administrator covering maternity! I had to go to HR and tell them that if they gave her the job I'd consider legal action. They didn't employ her in the end.
That's mostly the end of it other than bizarre online stuff like changing her FB name to my surname, getting friend requests from no profile picture accounts with names of my colleagues and sometimes long rants from these accounts saying that now we aren't working together maybe we can finally be together. Slowed down to maybe once every 3 month I'd get something like that before it stopped maybe 2 years after she'd been let go.
Apologies that was so long but I've never really put it into words before. It absolutely was not taken seriously by the business and everyone around me thought it was a big joke until she accused my co worker of SA. It was much worse for him and I felt hugely guilty that he was dragged into this and can't imagine what he went through. But also thank god she included me in the accusation as it then fell in on itself. I wish I'd reported it the moment she sent explicit images but I was 25 and didn't want everyone at my work to think I was involved with an unattractive (not that it would have made it better but honestly i didnt want anyone to think i was involved with her) much older woman.

When she returned she never approached me or spoke to me but over the next few weeks I was coming in to post it notes in my drawers, cakes at my desk and gestures you might expect from a partner but this was a woman I'd barely spoken to. I tried a different approach this time and just ignored them and would leave them where they where untouched hoping she'd get the hint but people next to me had started to notice. I was telling them I didn't know who was doing it as I felt bad for her and didn't want to out her to everyone.
What I didn't know, was that she was actually telling a group of women around her, including my team leader and manager, that we had been dating since the Christmas do, after which I'd supposedly gone back to hers. All of this was a complete fantasy. I can't prove it and they denied it but I'm almost positive that some of the things being put on my desk had the co-operation of my manager at the time.
She then reactivated the social media account and had started to send messages in the early hours of the morning at the weekend. I didn't reply to any and asked a police woman friend what I should do who advised logging everything she was doing, times and dates, and take it to my managers manager. I started doing this.
Before I could go to my managers manager however I was pulled aside by HR and my manager as the stalker had accused the 40 year old married co worker I sat next to of sexually assaulting her in the train station and that I was the only witness. She'd come up with some complete nonsense of him pushing his private parts against her when hugging her goodbye and making a lewd comment along the lines of what was she going to do about it. Of course I as the knight in shining armor "boyfriend" had pulled him off her and we'd got into a fantasy altercation.
Livid, I told them everything that had been going on, had to vehemently deny that I was in any sort of relationship with the woman and have my manager try to tell me she believed I was and that I needed to be honest as this was now a serious issue. They suspended my co worker, who had worked there for 20 years, and threw a grenade in his marriage and reported it to the police. I was telling them over and over that I wasn't there, that I got a lift home not the train and flat out did not think this could or had happened. The following Monday I came in to a gift box of shortbread on my desk and finally lost my temper and went straight to HR and asked for a face to face meeting with HR present.
I told her that we weren't in a relationship, we never had been and I wanted her to stop bringing me gifts and sending me messages. She never said a word and stared out of the window the entire time until HR asked is there anything she'd like to say to me at which point she looked me dead in the eye and said "I just want to be friends". Was awful, I told her that I wanted her to leave me alone or I would go to the police.
After that everyone knew what was going on and everything started to come out then, anyone I was close to or friendly with she had been telling malicious and bizarre lies about, the guy who gave me a lift home had tried to run her over, my ex had grabbed her in the toilet and told her to stay away from me, my brother had been sending her explicit messages. It was a Web of lies about everyone I knew. Some had been reported to HR and people had no idea.
Finally a woman on another team had sat next to her on the train home and she'd told her how the co worker she'd accused of sexual assault hadn't done anything but that she didn't think he was good for me to be around and she was hoping he'd get sacked. She made other outlandish claims and threats including that she'd like to stab a female colleague I was friends with. This woman was so alarmed that she reported her the next day and the business finally seemed to realise she was nuts. I was taken aside and assured that she was being let go and that she'd admitted that my co worker had never touched her and that wasn't going any further.
Being on agency they let her go immediately, however my manager can't have disclosed to the agency/business why she was let go as within a week it came up on a work email that she'd accepted a role as HR administrator covering maternity! I had to go to HR and tell them that if they gave her the job I'd consider legal action. They didn't employ her in the end.
That's mostly the end of it other than bizarre online stuff like changing her FB name to my surname, getting friend requests from no profile picture accounts with names of my colleagues and sometimes long rants from these accounts saying that now we aren't working together maybe we can finally be together. Slowed down to maybe once every 3 month I'd get something like that before it stopped maybe 2 years after she'd been let go.
Apologies that was so long but I've never really put it into words before. It absolutely was not taken seriously by the business and everyone around me thought it was a big joke until she accused my co worker of SA. It was much worse for him and I felt hugely guilty that he was dragged into this and can't imagine what he went through. But also thank god she included me in the accusation as it then fell in on itself. I wish I'd reported it the moment she sent explicit images but I was 25 and didn't want everyone at my work to think I was involved with an unattractive (not that it would have made it better but honestly i didnt want anyone to think i was involved with her) much older woman.

- CS 1110 - Intro CS Python: Will always be goated course for me. After switching majors, was very intimidated by CS. Prof Lee/Bracy & staff were godsent, course was very enjoyable and beginner friendly (duh) while remaining very fulfilling and challenging. Projects/Labs were very helpful and plenty of resources for help, enjoyed studying for exams and material thoroughly. Thank god I did not stick w Matlab (unbiassed opinion why do you ask)
- ORIE 3500 - Prob & Stats II: An out of whack sequenced class took during summer but love how Goldberg teaches. Not sure if still applicable but grading was very friendly and not a lot of tedious course work but learned a lot and enjoyed class. Exams were challenging but fun and grade cutoff made learning pressure-free. Shoutout D Goldberg one of my favorite professors
- ORIE 4580 - Simulation Modeling: Took this course w/o prereqs so was unprepared but Henderson is amazing person & Professor and will help you out. Really enjoyed Simio and project/assignments were fun, interactive, interesting. Shoutout Henderson: great guy award helped me through rough spot super approachable/easy to talk to. Decent amount of work and I didn't understand half of it but tools and info still relevant
- HD 3620 - Human Bonding: Not only easy and straightforward class but content was captivating and enjoyed studying for exams. I recommend this course to anyone, insightful and lends some underappreciated good advice/knowledge
🧢 - ORIE 4160 - Topics in Data Sc: Not to meat-ride Goldberg🍔 but top 3 prof I had. Class not tedious BS work; approaches high level topics with colloquial-like speech (not always) and I find learning easy with him. If only he would change his lecture notes format so its not formatted in size 1.5 pt font and jumbledtogetherinasingleboldedsentence, but looked forward to class. Relaxed classroom environment, would sometimes spend entire lecture on one proof but can't complain, was prob important lol
- ORIE 3120 - Tools for OML: liked this class, Frazier is cool and material is well encompassing and useful outside of classroom. cool project; recommend to anyone interested in DS/OR
- PSYCH 1102 - CogSci: Probably my most thoroughly enjoyed class I took here. Honestly would switch majors to this if I had the chance, fascinating stuff and was like exam only easy A
- ORIE 3300 - Opt I: fw'd this course and instructors heavy. Had hard time initially but after time gained decent understanding. Shoutout Ishan/Varun, awesome instructors and great people. Made me like ORIE, f simplex.
- AEM 2011 S/S Modeling: Took during Summeasynch and was good intro to basics of data analyses/Excel. Fair grading/don't know if ever saw Prof but sure he was coo
- AEM 4060 Risk Sim: Super chill class w Turkey who is sweetie. Another "real world" application class where you gain usable skills so can't go wrong. Very low workload no one showed up, only 3 assignments including Final so def recommend for ENG major requirement. I <3 AEM
- PHYS 2214 III - Waves/Q&M: Prob fav science course taken. Textbook was helpful plenty of recitation/lab help. Amazes me how ppl managed to figure stuff like that out lol. Grade cut off was stupid, a 37 was lower bound for C on exams so ya boy fit in for once. Didn't feel like I was reading out of textbook, felt exploratory
- ENGRD 2700 - Intro Prob & Stats: Took with Callister → My Guy. Interesting character, enjoyed his sarcastic/rude ED responses 😂 Very straightforward course, wish I retained more
- ORIE 3150 - Accounting: Now we're talking. Yaddi know OG Callister got me right. Was nice breaking from OR curriculum and actually useful course. Lecture optional, just read textbook; could get a lil tedious
- MATH 1920 - Multivariable: Zoom math ≠ learning. Not bad think was fav math.
- ORIE 4340 - Modeling and Computation: Okay didn't exactly give this course a chance due to scheduling but moved pretty fast and Prof severely understated amount of work it would take to catch up. Endless lecture notes and material but still cool class/learned little AMPL but def didn't get what I could have
- CHEM 2090: Took this so long ago i doubt the periodic table is still a thing. Don't remember much except always walking out of exams stunned and lab partner who rightfully hated my ass. Barely passed but in hindsight didn't prepare well as wasn't that hard. Look for better sources
- MATH 2940 - Lin Alg: zoom math smfh. probably the most important/relevant math course and still comes back and haunts me in every OR class so pay attention. Don't take during pandemic or you'll be learning from Youtube
- ORIE 4600 - Financial Eng: Thought I would enjoy more than I did. Struggled with understanding content but also didn't go to class or try so perhaps could have something to do with it🤷 Very forgiving and chill grading scheme, wish I actually payed attention it was super hard to learn from lecture slides
- PHYS 1112 M&H: Don't really remember much tbh, dropped it first time but eventually got the hang of it. I like physics textbooks
- ORIE 3310 Opt 2: Just relearning 3300, boring and already learned material. Grading nice
- ECON 1110 - Micro: Covid sem. took online and was pretty easy.
- ECON 1120 - Macro: Exams were more difficult, content is impressively boring and dull. Easy online credit tho
- ORIE 4152 - Entrepreneurship for Engineers LMAO: Don't know how this course got approved/became legit tbh. easiest class on course roster i think there was one HW and just final project as a joke. Got to enjoy a bit more Callister, this semester was a my fav lol

- ORIE 3510 - Stoch Proc I: Second class I failed 😎 Somehow made less sense 2nd time. Cursed course its hard to recognize when you are fully wrong/using wrong intuition but you might not realize this until you get a 31 on the Final. Must attend in person. Thought it would cake retaking but had Scully who is great guy/genius but taught it almost entirely different format than previous year. Info seemed to go in one ear (wp= u/λ) and out the other, not a fan of his notes/material organization. Scully is huge improvement from Dai nonetheless.
- MATH 2930 (First time😉)- DiffEq: My first failure!🤓 (took it when it was hard i swear) Even though 1st time through was rough, enjoyed solving equations and remains my central to major, def most involved of required math courses. Restructured version was an actual joke compared to previous year, legit had the option to retry & submit everything you turned in until you essentially got it right via brute-force submitting every possible answer.

- ENGRI 1160 - Modern Structures: cool project but prof was hard to understand and psets were way too hard for sem1 intro eng course. TA could barely help, made me switch out of civil

So incremental games don't require huge cash flows to produce I think.
