Brock loved one aspect of being a teenager again, and that was the utter lack of responsibility that no first-time teen truly appreciated. He’d stolen a facsimile of that freedom over the last six months of his life as Angelo, though not in a good way. Back then, no one expected anything of him because he was a waste of oxygen that nobody except Robbie cared about.
Well, Mason and Sam were worried, but as the younger roommates, that was the extent of their capability. Now that he’d been handed the original formula, it was fun to wind everyone up by hiding behind the kid façade. Not so much when Robbie laid down the law, but the highs outnumbered the lows tenfold, such as nobody expected him to be up before lunchtime on a Sunday. So when he rolled out of bed with barely two hours to spare, he found the apartment practically a ghost town.
He whistled the words “Yoooohooo,” to see if anyone would respond, and no one did.
Dang.
Where is everyone?
The warmer was empty, and the fridge had the basics, but he wanted a Robbie meal, and he was sure his best friend in the whole world wouldn’t be holding out on him. He went over to the magic box covered by a dishcloth and lifted both the cloth and the lid in one move.
Nada. Nothing.
With a huff of disgust, he lowered the lid (minus the dishcloth since that slid over the back) and went to step away when he remembered the trick to the box. Well … crap! How was he supposed to know what Robbie had put in there for him? The only one who’d know for sure was Robbie, and he was probably out putting together a global grocery shop to restock their pantry after yesterday’s party.
Okay, think dumbass, he ordered himself. Robbie wouldn’t have left you something you couldn’t get to. He placed both hands on the magic box and drummed his fingers. “Alright, box. How do I make you cough up my breakfast?”
The answer was so obvious that he wanted to bang his head against the counter for not thinking of it sooner. Because Robbie’s innate is food. Stop asking what he made and ask yourself what it is you want for breakfast!
Dozens of options rolled through his mind, each sounding better than the last. And then he had it. “Nonna’s frittata,” he said to the box, already salivating, and he hadn’t even smelt it yet. He flipped the lid and filled the room with freshly cooked fluffy eggs and Grana Padano cheese. “Oh, holy mother,” he whimpered, practically drooling over the chunky potato pieces that, for some reason, many Americans left out of the traditional frittata. His Nonna had always called it a travesty.
“Come to Papa,” he declared, lifting the plate to his nose, and breathing in deeply. “Robbie, you’re the best,” he promised, shutting the magic box’s lid and patting it like a dog that had done well. He then went to the cutlery drawer and grabbed a knife and fork for himself. He didn’t worry about a drink because he was certain he could drown in the amount of saliva already dripping from his chin.
For the next ten minutes, he tried his very best to slow down and appreciate the meal. To remember all the good times he’d had with his grandmother before she passed away.
As always, when it came to his Nonna’s recipes, he was full by the time he finished, though he lifted the plate and licked the flavour-infused oil from the surface.
“Risparmio e il miglior guadagno,” he whispered, quoting his grandfather’s favourite defence about his wife’s cooking whenever she’d bust him doing exactly what Brock was doing now and chase after him with whatever wooden implement she had at the time.

The stocky, no-nonsense, chain-smoking roadworker had died from lung cancer while he was still a toddler, and in that moment of reflection, he couldn’t help but wonder how different things would be if Nonno had survived his fatal condition.
His mother certainly wouldn’t have gotten away with her drug use, and he wondered if Rocco and Giani would’ve gotten tangled up in the underworld if he’d been there to keep them on the straight and narrow. They were young to his old, but Nonno was still the patriarch – or had been.
Then again, if he had lived, Angelo wouldn’t have spent so much time on the streets or met Imogen, which led to Robbie being his best friend. He might still be Angelo instead of Brock…
“God works in mysterious ways,” his Nonna often quoted.

He dropped the dish and cutlery into the dishwasher and went in search of everyone.
As always, he started with their side of the apartment first.
Since it was heading on for lunchtime, it didn’t surprise him that Charlie was gone. She was probably next door doing more car preparation for the racing driver Nascerdios, who was supposed to be coming by in the next couple of days.
For a second, he thought about knocking on Boyd and Lucas’ door and quickly decided that would be just as fatal as Nonno’s lung cancer. At the very least, Boyd would rip him limb from limb and beat him to within an inch of his life with each of them for bothering them the night after their engagement party.
That left Mason, and a light knock on his door had his friend calling out, “It’s open.”
Brock let himself in and was thrilled to see Mason in his work corner, with his fancy table alight and some sort of internal organ being dissected, his laptop open, and ten tons of paperwork scattered around him.
…mainly because it left something else in the room unused.
“Hey,” Brock said after glancing at the gaming corner and finding it just as he’d left it; fully closed up. “Any chance I could…?” His grin was all teeth as he rolled both pointer fingers at the gaming corner.
Mason growled and waved him off. “And you’re still going to find time to play basketball with us this afternoon, right?”
“Damn straight. I have to prove my superiority to all you losers,” Brock laughed, making a beeline for the coveted machine. He opened the folding doors and pushed them back into the same wall that shared the hallway. Then he kicked over the system, practically giggling with excitement as the whole thing slid and rolled like a Transformer shifting between forms.
And because he had been the last one to use it, the seating was still set to his specifications. He slid around the side and into the chair that was already angling itself with the footrests at the perfect height for him. He took the headset from the charger built into the back of the headrest and pulled it over his ears, twisting the microphone to sit in front of his mouth. “Ground Control to Major Tom,” he sang as the screens on the overhead brace came to life.
He saw rather than heard Mason snapping his fingers at him through the gap between the upper monitors and the keyboard and popped one ear out of the headset. “Yeah?”
“Keep it down, buddy. Some of us are trying to study.”
“Oh…sure. Sorry.” To make a point, he sucked his lips between his teeth and pretended to bite them, flipping both thumbs up at his friend.
Mason laughed and shook his head. “You’re still an idiot.”
You’re studying, and I’m gaming. Who’s the idiot again? Brock mused to himself as he returned the headset’s earmuff to his ear and began typing on the keyboard.
A quick log-in and scan of his character’s inventory and how the land around his base was situated (because leaving the game for days sometimes cost you as others raided your space), he headed out into the mainframe, appearing once more at the crossroads where he’d first met everyone.
Patalon was there, but he had the AFK sign above his head. “Awww,” he said, quickly shooting the orc tank’s player a ping chat to let him know he was available for some more fun if he was interested. Then he left the crossroads and headed ‘east’ towards the mountains.

The almost inaudible ding sounded like the biggest of Chinese gongs going off in the tiny room, and just like those types of summons, two men launched themselves over the back of the couch where they’d been watching TV and a third rolled off one of the three cots that were placed on the far side of the room. A fourth man rushed in from outside, having crushed out his cigarette on the doorframe, and all four leapt into their seats, each grabbing their receptionist-style headsets that only covered one ear from the back of their chairs.
“Now, this time, try not to stomp on his system so hard you warn him off,” the youngest of the four said from the far end said, as they all woke up their characters and converged on the gaming crossroad. “Or he might disappear for longer than a couple of days.”
“Fuck you. We’re getting paid to find this fucker’s scrawny ass, not pussy foot around forever holding our dicks,” another snapped. On a large monitor against the wall behind their consoles, they could all see the grid section of New York City. As brutal as Clay’s initial assault on the city’s network had been, it had narrowed the field from a global search to this city of eight million people.
The smoker ignored their banter and leaned forward to read the private message on his screen. “You can’t hide forever, Trevino.”

With the Australian regulation bans on importation of disposable vapes on 1st of Jan 2024 and importation of reusable vapes on 1st of March 2024 in place, vapes in general are getting more difficult to come by outside of the prescription or pharmacy model.
New regulation of vapes starting January 2024 Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)
Importation of vape liquid flavours, other than tobacco, mint and menthol are part of the regulatory ban on of 1st March 2024. So after stock imported before the ban, has run out, those flavours will be all that is available.
However, domestic manufacturing of 0% nicotine flavoured vape liquid is still legal, pending the outcome of voting on the bill to legislate a ban on domestic manufacture, advertisement, supply and commercial possession of non-therapeutic vapes in Australia, so that may change. If the ban becomes legislation, then DIY is an option (see further below).
This article outlines the steps to take and options to legally purchase vapes and nicotine liquid from an online pharmacy, with a prescription from an online prescriber. This will more than likely be an easier pathway than going to your local GP and pharmacy because many GPs are unfamiliar with vaping and many pharmacies don't stock vapes.
You will need to submit a script to see what is available, as they cannot legally show any vape products until your script is approved.
Getting a prescription and accessing an online pharmacy
There are online prescribers and online pharmacies that specialise in vaping products. Some are separate, others are one-stop-shops for both vape prescription and pharmacy services or partnered with each other.
You can get a script from online prescribers like quitrx.com.au or one-stop-shops like v-scripts.com.au, myduke.com.au and quithero.com.au, amongst others.
Generally, applying is an online questionnaire and the script is emailed to you, or access to an online pharmacy's products is granted.
Prices for prescriptions can vary. Some are free, but limited to their own products, for example myduke.com.au.
Quitmed.com.au and quithero.com.au have the biggest range of vape products, there are many others listed here. Some accept outside scripts, others from their partnered prescribers.
Nicotine vape liquid
You can buy ready-to-vape nicotine liquid, prefilled pods, or purchase nicotine concentrate from a pharmacy and mix it with 0% nicotine flavoured vape liquid.
0% nicotine flavoured liquid can be purchased without a script from vape stores like: vapoureyes.com.au, vapeking.com.au, vapelink.com.au, wickandwireco.com.au.

Nicotine liquid comes in freebase and salt forms. The difference between freebase and salt nicotine, is that freebase has a better 'throat hit' and is regularly used for vaping at lower levels of nicotine in a higher wattage device, although many use it at moderate levels with a lower wattage device too. Salt nicotine has an acid added, like benzoic acid, so is less irritating to the throat at higher nicotine levels and absorbs into the bloodstream quicker.
Note: disposable vapes generally contain around 50mg/ml (5%) of salt nicotine in Australia, even if there is no information on the label.
If you're coming off disposables, depending on the wattage of the device you decide to use (some are adjustable), 50mg/ml salt nicotine may be too much, so 25mg/ml (2.5%) to 30mg/ml (3%) may be enough. Freebase, at a lower dose, is also an alternative.
For freebase nicotine, the dose range is around 12mg/ml (1.2%) to 18mg/ml (1.8%), anything much above 18mg/ml tends to be irritating to the throat, so salt nicotine is recommended.
If you're coming off smoking, freebase maybe suitable in the transition to vaping because of the 'throat hit' that is similar to a cigarette. Otherwise, if a higher nicotine dose is needed or cravings aren't satisfied, salt nicotine is an alternative.
These nicotine levels are for low watt devices, not sub-ohm high powered vapes that are usually vaped with around 3-6mg/ml of freebase nicotine.
Nicotine concentrate

New regulation of vapes starting January 2024 Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)
Importation of vape liquid flavours, other than tobacco, mint and menthol are part of the regulatory ban on of 1st March 2024. So after stock imported before the ban, has run out, those flavours will be all that is available.
However, domestic manufacturing of 0% nicotine flavoured vape liquid is still legal, pending the outcome of voting on the bill to legislate a ban on domestic manufacture, advertisement, supply and commercial possession of non-therapeutic vapes in Australia, so that may change. If the ban becomes legislation, then DIY is an option (see further below).
This article outlines the steps to take and options to legally purchase vapes and nicotine liquid from an online pharmacy, with a prescription from an online prescriber. This will more than likely be an easier pathway than going to your local GP and pharmacy because many GPs are unfamiliar with vaping and many pharmacies don't stock vapes.
You will need to submit a script to see what is available, as they cannot legally show any vape products until your script is approved.
Getting a prescription and accessing an online pharmacy
There are online prescribers and online pharmacies that specialise in vaping products. Some are separate, others are one-stop-shops for both vape prescription and pharmacy services or partnered with each other.
You can get a script from online prescribers like quitrx.com.au or one-stop-shops like v-scripts.com.au, myduke.com.au and quithero.com.au, amongst others.
Generally, applying is an online questionnaire and the script is emailed to you, or access to an online pharmacy's products is granted.
Prices for prescriptions can vary. Some are free, but limited to their own products, for example myduke.com.au.
Quitmed.com.au and quithero.com.au have the biggest range of vape products, there are many others listed here. Some accept outside scripts, others from their partnered prescribers.
Nicotine vape liquid
You can buy ready-to-vape nicotine liquid, prefilled pods, or purchase nicotine concentrate from a pharmacy and mix it with 0% nicotine flavoured vape liquid.

Nicotine liquid comes in freebase and salt forms. The difference between freebase and salt nicotine, is that freebase has a better 'throat hit' and is regularly used for vaping at lower levels of nicotine in a higher wattage device, although many use it at moderate levels with a lower wattage device too. Salt nicotine has an acid added, like benzoic acid, so is less irritating to the throat at higher nicotine levels and absorbs into the bloodstream quicker.
Note: disposable vapes generally contain around 50mg/ml (5%) of salt nicotine in Australia, even if there is no information on the label.
If you're coming off disposables, depending on the wattage of the device you decide to use (some are adjustable), 50mg/ml salt nicotine may be too much, so 25mg/ml (2.5%) to 30mg/ml (3%) may be enough. Freebase, at a lower dose, is also an alternative.
For freebase nicotine, the dose range is around 12mg/ml (1.2%) to 18mg/ml (1.8%), anything much above 18mg/ml tends to be irritating to the throat, so salt nicotine is recommended.
If you're coming off smoking, freebase maybe suitable in the transition to vaping because of the 'throat hit' that is similar to a cigarette. Otherwise, if a higher nicotine dose is needed or cravings aren't satisfied, salt nicotine is an alternative.
These nicotine levels are for low watt devices, not sub-ohm high powered vapes that are usually vaped with around 3-6mg/ml of freebase nicotine.

I'd like to share my Ayahuasca experience with you all, it is unfortunately overall not the most positive experience so be warned.
Brief back story is that I (36m) have been dealing with Depression since my mid-late teens and throughout my twenties I exhausted most known conventional means of treatment with little to discouraging effect. I began daily use of cannabis as a means of self medicating, being able to stop cold turkey whenever would be required by another medication or conflict in treatment, such as pursuing legal ketamine infusions. I've used mushrooms recreationally a half dozen times, LSD much more so and Salvia twice, this is to say I am familiar with other forms of psychedelics.
The summer of 2021 after referral from a respected Canadian psychologist I found a center in Peru. I weened off my current ineffectual medications and enacted my diet. Chicken, fish, egg, potato, rice, veggies n water, no salt, sugar or caffeine for 1 month before my retreat in December.
After arriving late morning in Peru, I was picked up and driven the 2 or so hours to the center which was fairly remote, the road washed out from rain on the return trip and we had to use the Amazon to get around it. I was introduced to the volunteers and organizers and those I could ask for help while being shown around the site and given my cabin for my 11-day/6 session stay. I underwent a potato/onion root cleanser and was on my way.
The first of my ceremonies (due to a travel delay) was the night I arrived and from what I've read a fairly common setup. Throughout the day we were to set our intentions and prepare/integrate from previous sessions, I met with the shaman and we discussed what my goals were. Around a dozen or so of us participating in that nights ceremony would meet in a maloca and pick a mat, joined slowly by the volunteers/organizers and lastly the shamans. The candle was lit and we began.
I was given a standard dose and returned to my mat. This is where I feel my first inevitable downfall lay. I am a large man, at the time around 350 pounds (I honestly don't know exact weight at the time) and those mats were never intended for someone that size. Combine that with a tropical climate and you have someone who is not very comfortable and near constantly at the mercy of his hand fan. When the time came for my icaros, I couldn't sit cross legged nor really any other seated / kneeling position without aid and not wanting to disrespect the shaman, forced myself to. This is all to say that in the 1-2 hours of ceremony up to this point I have not been relaxed for a moment and by the time the nausea hit, it was welcomed.
I excused myself from the maloca to evacuate and returned to my mat... Nothing. Well, not nothing but a moderate physical discomfort similar to that of mushrooms from my experience. I am fully lucid, ultra self aware and now just uncomfortable in every aspect. Amongst the sounds of others well into their own experiences I left the maloca again for some cool night air, to lay down on the loose sand and stare at the stars. I've always liked doing that and it is a literal 'grounding' device for me.
I finally begin to relax, not being able to hear the others, not worrying about what sounds others hear of mine, the sand is soft and cool, the sky is still and endless when one of the organizers comes to me. "You need to come back inside. The energy is not safe out here."
This is my second downfall. I don't personally believe in that aspect of things but was trying to be as respectful as I could to the long history and culture around the use of this plant. I say I am very comfortable here and would like to stay, which I am permitted and he leaves. 10-15 minutes later again the same organizer approaches me and asks me to come back inside, that the maloca has been blessed and I am unsafe out here. Again I tell him that I am much, much more comfortable where I am, there is too much noise inside and I don't have the anxiety of people hearing me out here. He says to me, as serious as one can to another person, "You are in danger out here". I, being frustrated, scoffed that I don't really believe in that side of this experience and apologized to him for any offense but no, I will not be coming back inside unless I want to. After that he left and had another volunteer come and sit with me for monitoring.
Sometime later, now maybe 3-4 hours since consumption, it began to rain. Shit, the sky was just getting good. The organizer returns to have me come back inside but at this point the effects are already subsiding and I choose to return to my cabin and ride the rest of it out with an electric fan and some music. This baffles them. Granted, they are only concerned for my spiritual safety as well as my physical one but even after some self imposed 'sobriety tests' they only reluctantly agree to let me return to my cabin as long as they can keep checking on me. I spend the next few hours slightly defeated and discouraged, interrupted only by a periodic check-in. Eventually sleep takes me.
The next day I awoke wrought by fear, shame and guilt. Fearing that I offended them so greatly I would be forced to leave, and the shame and guilt of having done so. Fortunately, this was not the case and they assured me, they only wanted to help and that it was okay. My issues were aired and addressed and we prepared for the second ceremony the following day agreeing to double the dose.
So the next day I prepare again, focus on my intention and breathe relief that it's okay to lay down during my icaro if I have to. After receiving it and losing my stomach contents again I return to my mat aaaaaaaaaaand... Fall asleep.
This is my third downfall. For I am a snorer you see and apparently did what snorers do. This would be fine in most cases but unfortunately another patron took personal offense to this, something they informed me of the following days breakfast. I apologized and said if it were to happen again that they have my permission to do whatever necessary to wake me, up to and including using their puke bucket to wake me up. They did not find this funny.
Another day later and we're on to session three, I'm supposed to be doubling the dose again tonight (for a 4x standard dose) but as all the patrons are filling in, the "Anti-Snorer" begins passive aggressively voicing their concern and disapproval of my behaviour. Again, not really up to me if I snore but I will try to stay awake (I'm here for a reason after all) and invite them in the most de-escalating tone I can manage to use the roll of toilet paper provided to each of us and throw it at me if I am. This is a tough crowd as they begin to extoll their virtues over me. Seriously? Still? Fine, I'll leave. The organizers come to my cabin to try and get me to return but it's no use, the vibes gone.
It's at this point I consider calling it. I have had zero hints of whispers that this is going well so far. I go as far as getting all the return trips moved around and ready to commit when I am convinced by the people there to stay. For ceremony four I do everything I can, even the things I don't believe in I try to.
What followed the purging was the most uncomfortable body feeling I have ever experienced. A churning, roiling, oily-gurgling insides feeling that makes you want to rip your skin off. Still perfectly lucid, but a horrifically negative full body sensation that lasted for hours. That's it, I'm calling it. Three points is a trend and I decide then and there to opt out of my remaining two sessions.
I spend the rest of my time at the center largely keeping to myself, not wanting to distract the others nor detract from their potential experiences. Aside from me not having the type of experience I was looking for, I begin to see more and more things about their methods that don't sit right with me. Brief back story is that I (36m) have been dealing with Depression since my mid-late teens and throughout my twenties I exhausted most known conventional means of treatment with little to discouraging effect. I began daily use of cannabis as a means of self medicating, being able to stop cold turkey whenever would be required by another medication or conflict in treatment, such as pursuing legal ketamine infusions. I've used mushrooms recreationally a half dozen times, LSD much more so and Salvia twice, this is to say I am familiar with other forms of psychedelics.
The summer of 2021 after referral from a respected Canadian psychologist I found a center in Peru. I weened off my current ineffectual medications and enacted my diet. Chicken, fish, egg, potato, rice, veggies n water, no salt, sugar or caffeine for 1 month before my retreat in December.
After arriving late morning in Peru, I was picked up and driven the 2 or so hours to the center which was fairly remote, the road washed out from rain on the return trip and we had to use the Amazon to get around it. I was introduced to the volunteers and organizers and those I could ask for help while being shown around the site and given my cabin for my 11-day/6 session stay. I underwent a potato/onion root cleanser and was on my way.
The first of my ceremonies (due to a travel delay) was the night I arrived and from what I've read a fairly common setup. Throughout the day we were to set our intentions and prepare/integrate from previous sessions, I met with the shaman and we discussed what my goals were. Around a dozen or so of us participating in that nights ceremony would meet in a maloca and pick a mat, joined slowly by the volunteers/organizers and lastly the shamans. The candle was lit and we began.
I was given a standard dose and returned to my mat. This is where I feel my first inevitable downfall lay. I am a large man, at the time around 350 pounds (I honestly don't know exact weight at the time) and those mats were never intended for someone that size. Combine that with a tropical climate and you have someone who is not very comfortable and near constantly at the mercy of his hand fan. When the time came for my icaros, I couldn't sit cross legged nor really any other seated / kneeling position without aid and not wanting to disrespect the shaman, forced myself to. This is all to say that in the 1-2 hours of ceremony up to this point I have not been relaxed for a moment and by the time the nausea hit, it was welcomed.
I excused myself from the maloca to evacuate and returned to my mat... Nothing. Well, not nothing but a moderate physical discomfort similar to that of mushrooms from my experience. I am fully lucid, ultra self aware and now just uncomfortable in every aspect. Amongst the sounds of others well into their own experiences I left the maloca again for some cool night air, to lay down on the loose sand and stare at the stars. I've always liked doing that and it is a literal 'grounding' device for me.
I finally begin to relax, not being able to hear the others, not worrying about what sounds others hear of mine, the sand is soft and cool, the sky is still and endless when one of the organizers comes to me. "You need to come back inside. The energy is not safe out here."
This is my second downfall. I don't personally believe in that aspect of things but was trying to be as respectful as I could to the long history and culture around the use of this plant. I say I am very comfortable here and would like to stay, which I am permitted and he leaves. 10-15 minutes later again the same organizer approaches me and asks me to come back inside, that the maloca has been blessed and I am unsafe out here. Again I tell him that I am much, much more comfortable where I am, there is too much noise inside and I don't have the anxiety of people hearing me out here. He says to me, as serious as one can to another person, "You are in danger out here". I, being frustrated, scoffed that I don't really believe in that side of this experience and apologized to him for any offense but no, I will not be coming back inside unless I want to. After that he left and had another volunteer come and sit with me for monitoring.
Sometime later, now maybe 3-4 hours since consumption, it began to rain. Shit, the sky was just getting good. The organizer returns to have me come back inside but at this point the effects are already subsiding and I choose to return to my cabin and ride the rest of it out with an electric fan and some music. This baffles them. Granted, they are only concerned for my spiritual safety as well as my physical one but even after some self imposed 'sobriety tests' they only reluctantly agree to let me return to my cabin as long as they can keep checking on me. I spend the next few hours slightly defeated and discouraged, interrupted only by a periodic check-in. Eventually sleep takes me.
The next day I awoke wrought by fear, shame and guilt. Fearing that I offended them so greatly I would be forced to leave, and the shame and guilt of having done so. Fortunately, this was not the case and they assured me, they only wanted to help and that it was okay. My issues were aired and addressed and we prepared for the second ceremony the following day agreeing to double the dose.
So the next day I prepare again, focus on my intention and breathe relief that it's okay to lay down during my icaro if I have to. After receiving it and losing my stomach contents again I return to my mat aaaaaaaaaaand... Fall asleep.
This is my third downfall. For I am a snorer you see and apparently did what snorers do. This would be fine in most cases but unfortunately another patron took personal offense to this, something they informed me of the following days breakfast. I apologized and said if it were to happen again that they have my permission to do whatever necessary to wake me, up to and including using their puke bucket to wake me up. They did not find this funny.
Another day later and we're on to session three, I'm supposed to be doubling the dose again tonight (for a 4x standard dose) but as all the patrons are filling in, the "Anti-Snorer" begins passive aggressively voicing their concern and disapproval of my behaviour. Again, not really up to me if I snore but I will try to stay awake (I'm here for a reason after all) and invite them in the most de-escalating tone I can manage to use the roll of toilet paper provided to each of us and throw it at me if I am. This is a tough crowd as they begin to extoll their virtues over me. Seriously? Still? Fine, I'll leave. The organizers come to my cabin to try and get me to return but it's no use, the vibes gone.
It's at this point I consider calling it. I have had zero hints of whispers that this is going well so far. I go as far as getting all the return trips moved around and ready to commit when I am convinced by the people there to stay. For ceremony four I do everything I can, even the things I don't believe in I try to.
What followed the purging was the most uncomfortable body feeling I have ever experienced. A churning, roiling, oily-gurgling insides feeling that makes you want to rip your skin off. Still perfectly lucid, but a horrifically negative full body sensation that lasted for hours. That's it, I'm calling it. Three points is a trend and I decide then and there to opt out of my remaining two sessions.
I spend the rest of my time at the center largely keeping to myself, not wanting to distract the others nor detract from their potential experiences. Aside from me not having the type of experience I was looking for, I begin to see more and more things about their methods that don't sit right with me.
