Hi apes,

Can you feel it? Its finally here. but its not really anything like what we thought, ITS BETTER! That said I know how unforgiving you are so ill start with my superstonk credentials . Its just a link to my first post here so you will know that I am a dumbass ape that thinks the orange crayons taste the best.
Even so i expect to get torn up but I cant stop thinking about this, however before we start.

To Mr Roaring Kitty,
I want to take a moment to thank Roaring Kitty for everything. You made us a family, made us money and most important of all you gave us hope, there really was none. Even if we fail it was worth every penny.
Personally I had just lost my mom from COVID. We were so poor she died alone in a rehab bed since the beds were full in the hospital. We could not see her since it was a secure facility, she was just, gone. So many of us lost.
That is when I met the apes, your apes, your movement, and then it became our movement.
Kitty, you will never have to buy another beer again in your life. That goes double for your wife who also must have had to endured some shit, from both friend and foe. Hi Mrs. Kitty.
You didn't have to do any of this and you have inspired me and others to change the world, with or without tendies. You are not alone, we are on your motherfucking left!
Your Hamms is on us! Cheers!

APES I don't care if you do it here or anywhere but you let him know how grateful you are. You may copy past the following "Thank you Roaring Kitty!".
alright so on with it, most of this is tin foil hat, but we are used to that.
Since we have so many new apes, many whom have felt the pain of being the victims of market manipulation this week, I will be defining things that are common knowledge for us Silverbacks.
all of this is, like my opinion man ok?
Disclaimer: Most everything I have learned of stocks I have learned with my fellow silverbacks. I am not a financial ANYTHING nor am I the algorithm Aladdin or the AI that reads these threads in order to change positions in the stock market. If you follow my advice you will end up naked in a small town in Mexico holding a banana in a moldy tortilla reciting Vogon poetry in Spanish pig latin (EFE)

WHATS WITH ALL THE MEMES FROM KITTY?

They are a genius move that do 2 things.
1- The Memes give us hints into what the plan is that cannot be stopped at the same time circumventing AI and the ALADDIN algorithm that reads these posts and adjusts the shorts position accordingly. While simultaneously making everyone ask "is it him?" this is called plausible deniability. Aladdin controls 70% of the market and is controlled at least laterally by a shithead named kenny, we don't like kenny, but he is irrelevant now.
2- The Memes are also a trap for the shorts who are thinking in an archaic way, spending literally billions to keep the price down using Synthetic shares. Maximizing the payoff by making them borrow more shares from us!
SEE GENIUS!
WAS E.T. HIS LAST POST?
You think a gangster like kitty goes out with a whimper like ET?
The last meme will be wonderous I expect nothing less from the man himself.
Selling him short like that, Shame on you!
But honestly I don't know.

WHAT IS A SYNTHETIC SHARE? WTF IS A DARKPOOL?

Synthetic shares, in the context of "seller boxing" and dark pool trading, refer to financial instruments that replicate the economic effects of owning actual shares without representing real equity ownership in a company. These shares are created through derivatives like options, swaps, or other financial instruments. When combined with seller boxing and dark pool trading, synthetic shares can play a significant role in market manipulation strategies. Here’s how this process generally works:
Seller Boxing Explained: Seller boxing is a strategy used to suppress the price of a stock by overwhelming the market with sell orders, often without actual stock changing hands. This keeps the stock price artificially low and can create a negative perception of the stock's value, making it unattractive to potential buyers.
Dark Pools Explained: Dark pools are private exchanges or forums for trading securities, not accessible by the public. They are often used by institutional investors to make large trades without exposure.
To KISS : Synthetic shares are just that, fake. But they important how we are going to the fucking moon, its how we are going to get paid. Last week a massive amount of dark pool synthetic shares were used.
At this moment you should understand that if the price is fake, and even buying at the tippy top last week is still a good bet, when MOASS happens.

OK SO WHEN IN THE FUCK IS MOASS?

According to the memes within a few weeks, be zen there is a plan.
This is the part where I get crucified by my fellow apes, and I am happy to take my licks.
I Believe that if MOASS could happen on the open "fair" market it would have in 2021 and again last week.
I believe that the only way to have MOASS is away from Aladdin, halts and dark pools. we must completely be out of the bog of eternal stench.
THE WORLD saw first hand last week, and it was maybe even for our benefit, that MOASS cannot happen in the fair market exchange with halts and the opposition illegal tactics.
So either GME cleans up the entire system that was created to work against us and take our homes, businesses and lives. Or we see what's in the box. (couldn't find the kitty "seven" meme)
I think that Kitty and the gang know this and we are all getting our tendies in a different way and Its bigger than we ever thought possible, BEAR with me please.

How would you communicate if anything you said was used against you? Ever had to prove you are human?

You see Aladdin and its bitch Ais ( I'm talking to you Aladdin, fuck you) can't understand memes, A computer does not know why Dickbutt is funny. SO the hedgies have weaponized social media against us with bots and AI. Anything you say or do is a product they can use against you, your words have value and sometimes determine what happens to your favorite stock.
Hence the Kitty Aladdin Meme
"They are fast but I am faster" Aladdin is the bad guy here. Go watch it again. "all you got to to is jump".
IF MOASS CANT HAPPEN ON THE fair MARKET THEN WHY ARE YOU SO HANDSOME AND CHIPPER?
Because of genetics and the filing of a document (prospectus supplement) and the EARLY preliminary earnings report.
It is not very common that earnings reports are released early. Very much less common that they are released early WITH A LOSS.
There was a big chunk of money "missing" "lost", where did it go?
Well put on your tin hat as this is what keeps me up at night.
KITTY/GME/TEDDY HOLDINGS/? wanted us to put together that they are creating a huge holding company conglomerate and we will be in it trading our shares for something that is shielded from the market manipulation of Aladdin.
The "missing" money is a hint along with the filing. The "LOSS" on the earnings report had the wonderful effect of triggering the algo to kick into gear and short the shit out of our beloved GME.
THIS MADE THE HEDGIES HIT THE LOWEST PRICE THEY COULD MAXIMIZING PROFIT GAINS FOR THOSE OF US NOT CHEATING THE SYSTEM
They used their own algorithm against them to put another nail in the coffin. I still am in shock from the move, bravo!!!
So what's it all mean?
I believe that Gmerica/TEDDY HOLDINGS (and others) has already been created, that the "missing" money was used in the deals. These were probably set in motion years ago, and cannot be stopped now.
For every 1 GameStop share, they'll get 4 of Another company they made the deal with. And for every 4 GameStop shares, they'll get 7 of say Shit, shower and shave shares, for example. (a real possibility, if you know you know)
This happens between companies attempting to purchase each other using stock as the currency.
As for the holders they will likely get to swap out their shares for the shares in the new massive holding company.
I think that we will be trading our stocks in for shares with blockchain attached and we will be shielded from market manipulation. (tin foil straight up guess)
Lets say this happens and they give a dividend. That would trigger THE MOTHERFUCKER OF ALL SHORT SQUEEZES. the MFOASS™
Oh and to get really APE kicked in the face here, since we would no longer need to lock the float to prove to some bought worthless politician, that they are doing something illegal DRS becomes less important. I say this having another 200 shares headed to the purple circle so be gentle.
Since they create shares from nothing then it does not matter how many are Street named.
I still say buy, hodl, DRS. but read the prospectus supplement. If I'm right it details not matter what you got you are in.
Add in the new CAT (consolidated audit trail) system still controlled by shitheads and we have ourselves more than a few tendies. Which jives with GME and kitty not leaving any ape behind, not a one.
WHAT IS THE BEST PART?
The best part is that the companies that would comprise this conglomerate will include SSSY, Lego, Chewy, sax 5th ave and many others (in the memes) and it would rival amazon. Only less heartless and possibly even a decent wage.
Many of the stores that we would have in the holding companies were shorted into oblivion by the very assholes that we are revolting against.
Sweeet Sweet JUSTICE!
.... what I am saying is that...
oooo look a penny...

Left side of face is lopsided and jaw pops
So I am 16 and have gone through braces but the left side of my face is different then my right on the left side my eye is way bigger and lower and it’s a different shape my lip lifts a bit and my jawline is not as sharp as my right side. The whole left side of my face looks droopy If I put my finger under the right side of my jaw and pull nothing happens but if I put my finger under the left side of my jaw it makes a loud pop and it feels like my jaw moves out of place alot which i know isn’t normal it means there’s a problem I talked to my orthodontist and they said i might just grow out of it but i’m not sure. do I have a misaligned jaw? will I grow out of it? do I need surgery to correct my asymmetrical face? Will it get worse if I don’t fix it? I am a very attractive person and would hate to became more asymmetrical

2024.05.19 07:49 RadioRavenRide Activity Shilling: What if Neoliberals contributed to Bridge-building?

It if my belief that the hardest liberal ideal to uphold is not property rights or free-markets but pluralism. This is because the instinct to demonize and distance oneself from one's enemies is overwhelmingly strong, driven by pride, fear, anger, and disgust. But we should stand against these impulses, for the very core of democracy relies on people and groups of different to engage and hash out a plan for the future. With that in mind, I would like to make a case that one of the most powerful and useful things a principles neoliberal can do is bridge build.

What is Bridge Building?

Bridge-building is not rigorously defined because it's pretty new, but it comes from very old human instincts: curiosity and a desire for authentic connection.
Curiosity is not just a desire for knowledge, but a desire to expand one's view of the world and a practice of being an ever-enthusiastic learner. Curiosity does not have to be about facts but also about new experiences and ways of thinking. To be curious about a person is not necessarily wanting to know their social security number, but how they came to where they are in life and how they see the world. Curiosity is not just touching grass, but appreciating the park's beauty. If I were not curious, I would likely have noped out of this subreddit based on the name alone. But because I was, I read the sidebar.
It is my belief that people have an innate desire to be heard, to be seen and respected. And although it is diminished as of late, people also have the capacity to truly connect to others on a deeper-than-superficial level. This is hard online, but much easier in the real world. This desire and capacity for connection can help people overcome great differences and sprout the seeds of a great friendship.
Based on these two principles, Bridge-Building is a movement to ease polarization by connecting people of different backgrounds and groups together to foster greater understanding. The goal is not to reduce disagreement, but to make it more productive.

Why should Neoliberals Aim to Bridge Build?

Yeah, why should we? If we know best, why should we listen to those chumps? After all, I already have a name for everyone to right and left of me: wrong.
For one, do we really know best about everything? In the Socratic Dialogue Meno, Socrates and the politician Meno discuss the nature of virtue. During a debate on whether virtue can be taught, Meno asks Socrates this:
And how will you enquire, Socrates, into that which you do not know? What will you put forth as the subject of enquiry? And if you find what you want, how will you ever know that this is the thing which you did not know?
Here in lies Meno's Paradox: how do you know if you need to learn? If you already have that knowledge, you do not need to look any longer. And if you don't, then you have no idea what you're searching for. Socrates uses the idea of inbuilt knowledge as his answer, but I have another one which may strike more directly to the interests of liberals: simply assume that your knowledge is incomplete, and seek a more complete picture. Given all the knowledge in the world out there and all the things have yet to be discovered, it is unlikely that you or any other person has the complete picture on even a single issue.
But even if we do not know everything, if there value in learning from those of different views of us? I say that there is, and I will use another famous parable, this time from Buddhism, to illustrate my point. In this story, a kind invites a group of blind men to experience something that they have never encountered before: an elephant. When each blind man has felt a part of the creature, the king asks them to describe what they are touching. The man touching the foot says that the thing is a pillar, the man touching the trunk says it is a plow, the man touching the tip of the tail says a brush, and so on. The blind men cannot agree on what they are all touching, and so start an ancient version of a flamewar which entertains the king. In this story, the elephant is "The Truth", if such a thing exists. Although we all come in contact with the truth and with reality, we each come at it at different angles, like how the blind men are touching different parts. This means that while our individual perspectives are incomplete, they can be put together as a much more complete picture. People who remember the "wisdom" of the crowds should also recognize the powerful insights that can come from non-experts, especially as a group. Neoliberals who aspire to be "evidence-based" should not just gather evidence from different sources, but learn about different ways of thinking from others, or else they would be like one blind man squeezing the elephant's gonads really hard and thinking he's touching a balloon.
Hoewver, there are a lot of people who will reply to this very post and say, "isn't it dangerous to engage with certain people? What about those who are too stupid and hateful to learn?". Firstly, you should never bridge build if you feel unsafe. However, feeling unsafe is not the same as feeling uncomfortable, and discomfort may help you shake out of old patterns. Secondly, the foremost goal of substantive discussion is not to teach but to learn: even if the other party is too stupid to learn, if you are able to listen and learn you will have gained from the conversation. This may not always work out, but I promise you that when it does the effect is magical.

How do you Bridge Build?

This is the hard part. I haven't fully figured it out myself, but I have some pointers:
  1. Be patient. People, especially people on the internet, are no the most eloquent speakers. Struggling to find the right words or having incorrect grammar and spelling should not be taken as signs of being dumb babies not worth talking to. Additionally, try not assume all of what people are based on snippets of information.
  2. Be polite. Avoiding infamatory remarks ("You can't even read a supply and demand graph") and ambiguous slogans ("From the river to the sea, drugs will be free!") and try to keep the focus on the issues instead of the other person (or what you assume of the other person).
3.Stand up for your beliefs. Common ground is only real if it is earned. Be upfront about what you believe and how you came to believe those things. Anything else would be a disservice to the other party.
  1. Follow your curiosity. Try to ask questions in good faith instead of as traps (although I admit I do this a lot). Who knows where the inquiry will go?
But if that's too hard or ambiguous, there's a lot of help out there. Here are some organizations and projects that specialize in bridge-building:
Braver Angels: They host workshops, debates, and other events for bridging divides. I also like their A Braver Way Podcast. They also happen to be associated with one American Purpose Magazine.
One Small Step by StoryCorps: If you sign up, they may match you with someone they think you will have a fruitful conversation with.
National Institue for Civil Discourse: Come on, one of the founding Co-Chairs was Bill Clinton, and a former board member was H.W. Bush.
There are many more, so feel free to search for yourself. So, why not try building some bridges? They're an important piece of infrastructure.

2024.05.19 07:45 bigbiglove33 Enlarged spleen bruising, nothing showing in bloodwork

Female 31yo 145lbs Vyvanse 40mg daily for ADHD/BED last 6 months
I have bruising on my upper thighs, hips and lower back not caused by any trauma. I’ve had a lot of bloodwork done (which I can’t currently access) in the last 18 months to try and work out why I have a chronically enlarged spleen by a small margin 1-3cm. I’ve also been having digestive issues for some time. Chronic pain in left side and low back. I feel like there is something inside me. Almost like a balloon is being blown up and putting pressure on other things.
I’m seeing a haematologist and she said nothing out of the ordinary with my blood test, I’ve been referred for a CAT scan which I’ll have next week. She said possibly I could have lymphoma inside of my spleen but she didn’t sound convinced at all.
I’m losing a lot of hair and I’m pretty tired a lot, but I do have 2 young children. Also supposed that could be due to hormones.
Could I have some sort of blood disorder that is more difficult to diagnose? I feel like I’m just going in circles and Doctors might look at me like I’m a hypochondriac. I just know something isn’t right. Thanks for reading

2024.05.19 07:43 MusicianWinter370 Need help with life.

I’m not sure where to even start this or post this but I’m feeling overwhelmed. Let me start with saying I’m a recently turned 18 male in the US, I just graduated a couple weeks ago and turned 18 a month ago. For the past few years I’ve had off/on brain fog or dissociation, I’m not sure which exactly which. When I google symptoms it sounds more like dissociation but I’m not sure. I’d contributed it to meds I’ve been off/on for my chronic ulcerative colitis. About for half a year it’s gone full blown 24/7 mode and I don’t remember what normal feels like anymore. I went through a pretty rough breakup right before the new year, I’ve been in multiple vehicle accidents (thankfully only the vehicles were injured not me). I’ve started to think it’s not meds and it’s a mental disorder or illness but I wouldn’t know who to talk to. This fog thing has made daily life pretty miserable which had made it very hard to feel like I’m making correct choices financially, in life, and with a new relationship.

2024.05.19 07:36 donquixote_tig WR Rankings and Evaluations (long)

Here I have included my pre-draft, post-draft, and fantasy football WR evaluations (shortened for brevity). This is regarding real life skillsets and performance, and the fantasy football ranking is for redraft. I believe that the IRL evaluation is good enough for dynasty as well, even when skillsets don't match fantasy productive ones.
Pre-Draft Rankings:
Tier 1:
These are all players who I don’t want to delve into. They are the safe, elite prospects who don’t have any red flags, which is what differentiates them from the tier below.
  1. Marvin Harrison Jr.
  2. Malik Nabers
  3. Rome Odunze
Tier 2:
Each of the three players in this tier are elite, but have one or several red flags and uncertainty to their game.
  1. Troy Franklin
    1. Troy Franklin is a smooth route runner with great deep speed (moves like Ridley), but what truly makes him elite is his much underrated awareness. He has an impeccable feel for both zone and the defensive back’s mind, allowing him to slide into space and break out of the reach of corners, and he also holds an elite release package paired with great ball tracking. From what I’ve seen, Franklin is also the most willing and able blocker in this class. His biggest flaw to me is not his slight frame, but rather his lack of extension when going for catches, perhaps due to his small hands, which allows for random drops and makes him more susceptible to drops through contact.
  2. Xavier Worthy
    1. While Worthy has risen in draft boards, the respect for him has fallen after his record breaking 40 yard dash. Worthy might have speed, but he is not all speed. Worthy has been an elite player his whole career, with an extremely early breakout and impressive freshman season. He is often dinged for his ball tracking, an important trait for deep threats, but I don’t see it. Worthy also offers elite YAC ability. He has the mental capability to be used as a consistent threat out of motion, as I don’t see him having the same release package as Franklin. The flaw with him is both being and playing small.
  3. Brian Thomas Jr.
    1. BTJ is built in a prototypically phenomenal way. He possesses elite speed, size, and agility for that size – the makings of an elite receiver. He was also an elite producer in college. Thomas Jr. doesn’t necessarily show a lot of flaws in his game (aside from a few small things) – rather he doesn’t show a lot of anything at all. His flaw is that there is not enough information about his game out there to make the evaluation process thorough enough. Questions remain about his route tree and ability to play a variety of roles in an offense. At the very least, he steps into a team as an elite deep threat. In my opinion, Thomas Jr. offers a higher ceiling than Odunze, Worthy, and Franklin, but there’s just not enough for me to look at here.
Tier 3:
Tier 3 contains three players who show a lot of good things on film, but also have almost horrible production profiles.
  1. Ladd McConkey
    1. McConkey reminds me of Christian Kirk stylistically. He possesses elite quickness and solid route running with very quick, twitchy steps. It is clear that he knows how to keep defensive backs guessing. I also noted that he shows strong YAC abilities and the willingness to seek out contact.
  2. Adonai Mitchell
    1. He might have diabetes, and he might be lazy, but AD is smooth. I thought he’d run a 4.55, and at that point I had him at 6 I believe. AD has sneaky athleticism and deceptive quickness, and a very encouraging frame to pair with this. While I don’t see a lot of flaws in his game, I will say that he has one of the worst analytical profiles I have ever seen.
  3. Roman Wilson
    1. Wilson is my favorite player in the draft, and I have been waiting for him to join the NFL for years. While I am not a Michigan fan, I have watched a lot of Michigan and Ohio State games, and fell in love with Wilson’s play. He is an elite athlete, with a willingness to go up strong for balls, and is simply just good at the game of football. I believe he would have shown a lot more if he was on a more passing oriented offense.
Tier 4:
Tier 4 has three players who are both older prospects and also have questionable production profiles.
  1. Ricky Pearsall
    1. Slick Rick is definitely slick. He has arguably the greatest catch in CFB history, and is a silky route runner with great athleticism and burst. He seems to have a great understanding of how to run routes. Pearsall is a 5 season player, with non-elite production in any of those years – however he has shown improvement in every one of those years. He is not the tenth best receiver in this class right now – I only have him this low because of his age. However, I don’t think he has the production or the film to strongly suggest that he’s better than any of the players I listed before, which is why the age can lower him. Tank Dell was a 24 year old rookie, but his film would be enough for me to raise him higher.
  2. Xavier Legette
    1. Legette has elite speed paired with elite size. I will not say he has elite athleticism however. His agility is not nearly good enough for me to give him that title. This is where I feel people tend to misterm athleticism – by equating it to a size/speed combo. Legette also only had one year of elite production. Legette is great at the catch point, with solid hand technique and vertical ability, but he leaves a lot to be desired with his release and his hip flexibility. He is not yet a strong route runner. I don’t really mind his late breakout too much – he has a lack of refinement in his game that would explain this as he is a growing player, but here’s some good scouting: what I truly can’t deal with is his accent.
  3. Malik Washington
    1. Washington is another late producer like Legette, with only elite production in his 5th year. However, I believe that was due to him playing his time out in an awful Northwestern offense. Washington left Northwestern not through a transfer, but because he finished his degree early. He might be small, but he is incredible at football, and offers elite YAC ability to pair with his excellent feel for zones and space. The only reason I have Washington this low (although it is not low) is because I know he will be overlooked in the NFL and will have a difficult path to success.
Tier 5:
The players in this tier will likely all have a role in the NFL, or at least the chance to have a role in the NFL.
  1. Ja’Lynn Polk
    1. Polk bores me a bit, but he’s good. I believe he is a useful asset to any team in the NFL. He plays with a lot of grit, which teams should like, and is all around a solid and smart player.
  2. Malachi Corley
    1. The self proclaimed “YAC King” is exactly that. In fact, his YAC ability is so good that it’s almost as if he was a running back playing receiver. Oh right. He is. That being said, Corley has the agility to become a great receiver. While his switch is probably due to wanting the longevity and paycheck associated with the position, I don’t doubt that he has the ability to make up for his late start. He’s not really there yet, so his athleticism only gets him this high.
  3. Keon Coleman
    1. Coleman is in the classic “Alpha” mold. If you’re wondering why he’s so low, I just don’t like that mold. I don’t care about his 40 time, he seems fast enough to me. In my opinion, Coleman does not have the agility and hip flexibility required to run great routes. That’s why I just don’t see him learning route running. He offers elite vertical leaping ability, body control, and good hands to match this, but he’s not Mike Evans. I don’t think Coleman has no path to success in the NFL – he’s still a decent player, just not my kind of player. The landing spot will matter with this one.
  4. Jermaine Burton
    1. I don’t like Burton. There’s just something about his face – he looks like a less creepy Spencer Rattler. However, I’d say he’s a good player. He has solid athleticism, and I believe he has the ability to run a variety of routes, despite working in a vertical offense. Burton has great hands, albeit a short catch radius, and plays very strong. There’s definitely things to like about his game – and who knows, maybe being a bad character is a good trait.
  5. Javon Baker
    1. Baker strikes me as someone who loves football, with an alpha receiver mentality. He might know too much – while he has great route running, he sometimes seems to almost spam fakes and make unnecessary movements that leave me confused instead of the corner. That’s not really a big concern for me though. He is great at the catch point as well, showing great determination and body control. I’m not sure he has the athleticism to truly be elite, and while the Big 12 is a decent conference, the defensive backs in his film seemed to be mostly bums, but with a good landing spot I think he has the ability to shine. I’m rather surprised that he decided to transfer out of Alabama, but whatever, it worked out.
  6. Jalen McMillan
    1. The much underrated and overlooked third brother. McMillan looks soft, but he has good athleticism and good flexibility. He’s also a good route runner with good body control. I’d say he’s good. With players like him, it really depends on how much the team that drafted him believes in him. I don’t doubt that it will be easy for him to get hidden in a deep WR room.
Tier 6:
Tier 6 are the guys who I think are good players but don’t think they will get a chance to show that, with play strength and size being concerns. I think they can work despite this, but I doubt NFL front offices will.
  1. Jamari Thrash
    1. Thrash is a smooth player with great route savviness, but is complete trash when it comes to contact (easy pun intended). Physical corners can easily thrash him around during his routes.
  2. Jacob Cowing
    1. Cowing probably has the highest likelihood of success among the three, as he possesses the best release package which is important for small receivers. However, he’s no Tank Dell. In fact, he IS Tank Dell, just worse at every aspect of the game. He’s arguably more athletic however, and showcases elite explosiveness.
  3. Ainias Smith
    1. Explosive with quick feet, but is small and plays small. I think he has a lot of ability, but he’s not the type of player that NFL teams want to trust.
Tier 7:
Tier 7 contains players who don’t have it right now, but could have it with some development.
  1. Tez Walker
    1. There was a lot of hope for Tez coming into the 2023 season, and he delivered. Delivered very little. While he showcased absolutely zero route running savvy, he has the elite athleticism to make up for this, and is not completely inflexible. I do want to blame the college football body and UNC for some of his failures, and he wasn’t really all that bad. I just don’t think he’s quite there yet.
  2. Luke McCaffrey
    1. McCaffrey has great athleticism and elite lineage, but that’s about it. He wasn’t bad in college, but played for Rice. He’s in the middle of his learning curve for the position after converting from being a mediocre QB, and I’m sure he can figure it out – I’m not out on him.
  3. Johnny Wilson
    1. Wilson is absolutely incredible for his size. He is a fluid athlete with solid speed, and more than decent route running. Unfortunately, at his size he needs to be excellent at the catch point and with contested catches. He is not. In fact, it’s his weakness – he is extremely soft, unlike his hands. He’s the odd case where I think he’d be much more successful if he dropped half a foot in height. If you combined the best of Johnny and Keon, you’d have a possible goat receiver.
Tier 8:
Tier 8 has guys who piqued my interest with their play, but are likely going nowhere. Gould is small, Bub Means is named Bub Means, Vele is an old man, and Coker is slow and played for Holy Cross.
  1. Anthony Gould
  2. Bub Means
  3. Devaughn Vele
  4. Jalen Coker
Tier 9 is all of the guys I haven’t watched enough of that didn’t make this list due to that.
Tier 10 consists of the players who are, in my humble opinion, bad.
Tier 10:
  1. Brenden Rice
    1. My evaluation of Rice has nothing to do with his father. I truly do believe that he is the second worst receiver in the class. In fact, I think he will obviously get a shot because of his father, and that he has the work ethic and connections to improve dramatically as a player. However, as of right now, while he has solid hands, he runs everything in one gear, and it’s visually appalling. He stomps the ground as he runs, and while it seems like he has some understanding of route running techniques, it all goes to waste since he runs his routes as hard as possible.
  2. Cornelius Johnson
    1. As I said earlier in my Roman Wilson evaluation, I have watched a lot of Michigan games. This means I watched his counterpart on the other side – Corn Johnson. In all my years of watching football, I have never seen a player worse than Corn. He is truly awful at the game. He has absolutely zero ball knowledge and route running ability. He’s actually pretty decent at the catch point, but not enough to make up for his terrible play in every other facet of the game. He somehow had Harbaugh’s trust to keep starting, so I still wouldn’t be surprised if he was drafted, but whatever team makes that decision has completely wasted a pick they could’ve otherwise spent trading for McCorkle Jones or some other washed up player.
Post-Draft Rankings and Comments:
Contrary to popular opinion, I believe that situation is actually very important regarding a wide receiver's career. It is worth noting that I actually did my pre-draft ranking writeups after the draft despite wording them as though they were written pre-draft, therefore the adjustments here are not new revelations, rather they are simply the changes I believe draft capital and landing spot make.
  1. Marvin Harrison Jr.
    1. Great landing spot, bad franchise
  2. Malik Nabers
    1. Mediocre landing spot, bad franchise with bad assets but good volume. Will play alongside WanDale Robinson, a player who also generates elite separation.
  3. Rome Odunze
    1. Landing spot is alright, the franchise is bad but the team is set up well. Will be the WR3 to start however, but that should not necessarily hinder his career.
  4. Xavier Worthy
    1. Very good landing spot with the best quarterback in the league, and another field stretcher already on the roster, suggesting that he might run routes with some variety and improve his game. It is not a perfect system for production however.
  5. Brian Thomas Jr.
    1. Attached to a good, young QB, who should help each other. Thomas Jr was clearly drafted to slot into the alpha role, with Kirk taking the slot and Davis stretching the field. At the very least, Thomas will also be an elite field stretcher, really opening up things for Kirk and Engram underneath, as well as opening the box for Etienne. The franchise does not have a great history with receivers.
  6. Roman Wilson
    1. Excellent, phenomenal landing spot. Wilson lands in another run-heavy offense as the clear WR2, from a team and staff that has been historically great with evaluating and developing receiver talent.
  7. Ladd McConkey
    1. McConkey is presumably the current or soon-to-be WR1 in LA. The landing spot is definitely good amidst a weak WR corps, although I’m not fully certain about his ability to be the Alpha. Perhaps they expect something out of QJ? Palmer is solid but not spectacular.
  8. Ricky Pearsall
    1. For his age, the spot isn’t ideal, but the capital is great. Pearsall is definitely a good player, and if one of Deebo or Aiyuk is traded (likely Deebo) he comes into a great role. I’d call it a good landing spot.
  9. Troy Franklin
    1. The capital is horrible, and I feel teams have made a huge mistake here. Franklin is too nice and genuine of a guy to have that ‘chip on his shoulder’ effect from his fall, but he will definitely take his role seriously. With his talent, I see him slotting in as the WR2 on this offense early, especially with the Nix connection, but he has to beat out Mims. For the capital, it was definitely the best landing spot he could have got with a team that really wants him.
  10. Ja’Lynn Polk
    1. New England is historically awful at wide receiver evaluation, but Polk is solid and will come into a WR room with no alpha and a rookie QB. Pop Douglas is a good slot receiver, and Bourne is alright, but that’s about it. I believe they should play a Polk - Douglas - Baker line, but Bourne will likely be starting, which is understandable.
  11. Adonai Mitchell
    1. Awful landing spot. The worst he could have hoped for. AD has that chip on his shoulder, but he comes in as the WR3 in a role that is likely mostly field stretching. If there was actually a lot for him to learn, then this landing spot subtly becomes very good.
  12. Keon Coleman
    1. I would argue that this is the best landing spot for any player in the draft. The capital is excellent, and the fit is excellent. Keon might not get any separation, but Josh Allen is exactly brain dead enough to just chuck it to him anyways. Very few other quarterbacks would have the confidence in him to simply target him despite being draped, and Allen is a very good one, who might be forced to pass to him considering how weak the room is. I believe Shakir and Kincaid are decent, and that Samuel might be better than Coleman, but Allen and the team will likely treat Coleman like the alpha, and this will be reflected in his targets. It also helps that Coleman is a very likable character, which might offset his bad at football accusations with great production on poor efficiency.
  13. Xavier Legette
    1. It’s a new front office in Carolina, but I don’t really trust the pick. It doesn’t help my concerns when you consider Legette is also from Carolina, which might bias the selection, especially when everyone knew he was going there but nobody cared enough to try to get him over Carolina. On the plus side, he went to the only place where people can understand him, and he fits the room well alongside Diontae Johnson. He’ll probably play in a role that doesn’t suit his skillset, but he can succeed here if Bryce steps it up with an improved line.
  14. Malachi Corley
    1. Good landing spot as a YAC slot player, while living with Rodgers. Definitely intriguing, although the franchise is bad so his development might be minimal.
  15. Jermaine Burton
    1. Good landing spot imo, with room to learn the position and role and then replace Tee Higgins. Still don’t like the guy.
  16. Javon Baker
    1. Lands in an open room with alright capital. Is the WR4 already imo, with an opportunity to earn the alpha role if he’s up for it.
  17. Luke McCaffrey
    1. Great capital for the level of play he’s shown. He definitely has a role as a starter intended, although I hope they took him due to athleticism and not name (3rd is too high for it to be name value).
  18. Devontez Walker
    1. Good spot to learn and possibly start while getting no targets.
  19. Malik Washington
    1. Bad landing spot, and bad draft capital. Washington is fantastic, but he’s old and behind two great receivers, not to mention OBJ being signed (which I imagine means he will play). Washington could have started in the slot, but now he will have to wait and earn a role.
  20. Jalen McMillan
    1. He’s the WR3 in Tampa, but Godwin will likely take the slot, which means he might be the WR4 unless they play him on the outside.
  21. Jacob Cowing
    1. Deep corps with Pearsall taken ahead of him, but a good place to grow.
  22. Jamari Thrash
    1. He has one great receiver ahead of him, and two alright receivers that I don’t believe he has the quality to surpass, but I think he can gap Cedric Tillman. There’s probably not much hope here.
  23. Ainias Smith
    1. Smith can beat out Parris Campbell for the slot role, and while he doesn’t strike me as a consistent player, he can still ‘thrive’ for meager numbers under a great corps.
  24. Bub Means
    1. The WR3 in the room is open, and by all means the job is his to take (that pun was actually unintentional I swear I only noticed it after writing it).
  25. Brenden Rice
    1. He might be horrible but the WR room is completely open, and his late draft capital might make Papa Jerry step in and give him some instruction in how to play the position. There’s probably some sort of upside here.
  26. Johnny Wilson
    1. He could definitely beat out Devante Parker who has the exact opposite skillset as a fellow big receiver, but the slot is the role that is open outside of AJ Brown and Smitty. The volume is also going to be low.
  27. Anthony Gould
    1. The Colts landing spot doesn’t suddenly look better. Obvious depth role with no hope of ever starting.
  28. Devaughn Vele
    1. I could see Payton really liking him, and him earning time, but he’s 26. I believe in him though, despite this ranking.
  29. Jalen Coker
    1. Panthers are bad, undrafted is bad, I don’t see him getting a chance.
  30. Cornelius Johnson
    1. I almost raised Corn higher because Harbaugh drafted him, and Harbaugh obviously knows more about him than I do, but then I remembered how bad he truly is. I insist that there’s no hope for him, he’s just awful.
Fantasy Football Rankings (only included plausible contributors):
  1. Marvin Harrison Jr.
  2. Malik Nabers
  3. Ladd McConkey
  4. Xavier Worthy
  5. Keon Coleman
  6. Rome Odunze
  7. Brian Thomas Jr.
  8. Xavier Legette
  9. Roman Wilson
  10. Troy Franklin
  11. Ja’Lynn Polk
  12. Adonai Mitchell
  13. Ricky Pearsall
  14. Malachi Corley
  15. Jermaine Burton

2024.05.19 07:35 gingerpiercergirl is this pain normal please help

i’m a 20F and i got my tonsillectomy the morning of may 10th. today is day 9. recovery was super easy days 3/4, and then it went downhill as expected. i spit up a blood clot about the size of a dollar coin and had a clot about the same size on my left tonsil, which i eventually swallowed (ew). however, since day 5ish, my right tonsil has healed like a champ and i have had genuinely 0/10 pain. my left tonsil however is so painful it is actually driving me crazy, and not in a metaphorical way. my ear has been aching for almost an entire week straight, and it feels like someone is pushing a rusty needle through my eardrum. to accompany it, my left side is in excruciating pain in ONE specific spot; and the rest is just sore. it feels like someone is burning my wounds with a lighter constantly. nothing i do helps except laying still on my ride side with a weighted ice pack. i have been in agony for 9 days. i’m not a wimp either, im aware how awful this recovery is. i have broken so many bones and had so many sprains and i have been in a lot of pain before but nothing like this. i have ehlers danlos hypermobility syndrome, im a redhead, i have endometriosis, i have a HIGH PAIN TOLERANCE. this is killing me. i feel like im going insane because of this, and like i am trapped in my body as a prison. my mind is a prison. i am in endless pain. i can’t eat or drink water and i don’t know what to do. i need any help or suggestions i can get. i’m extremely worried for my mental health. i can’t continue like this much longer. please i need advice and help. please

As a car enthusiast who constantly deals with lingering odors in my vehicle, I was excited to give Meguiar's Air Freshner a try. The Fiji Sunset scent is refreshing and tropical, which was a welcome change from the stale smell that had been plaguing my car.
The first thing that stood out to me about this product was its effectiveness at eliminating odors - it truly does live up to its promise of finding and removing them permanently. I used it to get rid of a smokers' smell in my friend's car, and within minutes, the unpleasant odor was gone for good.
Another highlight of this air freshener is its long-lasting scent. Unlike some other products on the market, this one leaves behind a pleasant fragrance that lasts for weeks, making it perfect for those who want their cars to always smell fresh.
However, there are a couple of drawbacks to this product. Firstly, the nozzle can be difficult to control, sometimes causing the aerosol to spray uncontrollably and making a mess. Additionally, the scent may not suit everyone's taste, but that's subjective and depends on individual preferences.
Overall, Meguiar's Air Freshner is an excellent choice for anyone looking to eliminate unpleasant odors and keep their car smelling great for weeks.

🔗Fast-Acting Odor Eliminator Spray for Cars

I've been using the Freshfx Car Bomb Spray from Armor All recently, and it's been a game-changer for my ride! The product comes in an adorable little fogger bottle that's super easy to use. A quick squirt here and there, and the lingering odors from that smelly gym bag or takeout food completely vanish. Plus, the 'New Car' scent adds a burst of energy whenever I hop into my car, making each drive feel like an exciting adventure!
However, on the downside, I wish the fragrance was a bit more long-lasting. I have to spray it more frequently to keep my car smelling fresh throughout the entire day. Despite this, I'd still recommend the Freshfx Car Bomb Spray because it's fast, easy, and effectively eliminates those stubborn odors!

🔗Dakota Odor Bomb - Permanent Car Odor Eliminator with New Car Scent

https://preview.redd.it/89t98lgmkb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=98414c9ffa468e1c9dcbaab5037eaab208da9448
The Dakota Odor Bomb is my go-to solution for removing stubborn odors from surfaces and the air. This odor eliminating fogger packs a punch, effectively destroying bad smells in vehicles, homes, boats, RVs, and offices. It's ideal if you've been struggling to eliminate lingering odors caused by pets, smoking, cooking, or mildew.
Using the Dakota Odor Bomb is straightforward. After placing the can on a flat surface, simply press the valve into the locking catch and leave the area. The fogger will disperse an odor-destroying mist throughout the room, reaching every cranny and nook to eradicate stubborn smells. It's important not to disturb the area for at least two hours following application, and to ventilate the room for 30 minutes before re-entering.
One feature that really stood out for me was how the Dakota Odor Bomb effectively covers large spaces. Each bomb treats up to 6000 cubic feet, equivalent to the size of a typical hotel room. This makes it a perfect choice for larger rooms or vehicles. However, a downside to consider is that the scent can be quite strong initially. But don't worry, it dissipates within a few days, leaving behind just clean air.
The Dakota Odor Bomb is more than just an air freshener. It's a reliable and effective odor eliminator that destroys odors permanently. If you're tired of temporary solutions that only mask bad smells, this is definitely worth considering. Plus, it's surprisingly affordable to keep using on a regular basis.
In conclusion, my experience with the Dakota Odor Bomb has been very positive. It's proven to be effective for addressing stubborn odors and provides a much-needed sense of freshness in spaces that otherwise smell unpleasant. While the initial scent can be quite strong, it does dissipate relatively quickly. Overall, I highly recommend the Dakota Odor Bomb for anyone seeking a long-lasting, effective odor removal solution.

🔗Black Cherry Scent Organic Air Freshener Can

https://preview.redd.it/bjaoiszmkb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f6e03c3c888d34de3272d6095385d9d610fc57f9
I have been using Scent Bomb's Black Cherry Scent Organic Air Freshener for about two months now in my car, and let me tell you, this little can packs a punch! As soon as you pop the top, the luscious black cherry scent fills the air, replacing any lingering odors with a sweet, ripe aroma.
The first thing that really amazed me about this product is its lasting power. I have it placed in my car, and it has maintained a consistent fragrance for the entire couple of months I've been using it. The other feature that is truly impressive is the adjustable cap on top of the can. This allows me to control the strength of the scent depending on my mood or the situation – like when I want a light, subtle aroma or a full-blown cherry blast!
However, I did encounter a minor issue with the product, and it's the fact that it can become a little slippery when it gets wet or damp. I accidentally sprayed it on the floor of my car once, and it made the surface quite slick. So, be sure to keep it away from surfaces that could become dangerous when wet.
In conclusion, Scent Bomb's Black Cherry Scent Organic Air Freshener Can is a fantastic product that provides a wonderful cherry scent and lasts for up to 60 days. It's perfect for cars, homes, and even lockers, as it covers up even the most stubborn odors. While there's a small concern about its effect on wet surfaces, I still highly recommend giving it a try – you won't be disappointed!

🔗Meguiar's Summer Breeze Whole Car Air Re-Fresher

https://preview.redd.it/gqu9im9nkb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cad69a7e5432cfc78cdb73526fd880e2abd27e57
I recently tried Meguiar's Whole Car Air Refresher in Summer Breeze Scent, and I must say it has made a noticeable difference in the smell of my car. I had been dealing with the lingering scent of a wet dog after a rainy trip, and this product has thankfully taken care of that.
What stood out most to me was the ease of use. It's as simple as shaking the can, setting it off, and letting it circulate through your vehicle's air vents. Within 15 minutes, my car was filled with a refreshing summertime aroma that left even my most skeptical passengers pleasantly surprised.
However, there are some drawbacks. The scent, while initially strong and pleasing, can dissipate relatively quickly, leaving you needing to remove and reset the device again soon after. Additionally, it's a bit pricey for a one-time use product, so you'll need to consider whether the benefits outweigh the cost.
Overall, if you're looking for a quick solution to stubborn car odors, Meguiar's Whole Car Air Refresher is definitely worth trying. Just be prepared to potentially reapply the product more frequently than you might expect.

Car air freshener bombs are small, compressed balls of fragrance that are designed to be used in vehicles. They release a burst of scent upon being exposed to air, effectively freshening up the interior of a car.

How do they work?

Air freshener bombs are made with water-soluble binders that trap the fragrance inside. When placed in the car, these binders begin to dissolve in the air, releasing the scent in a gradual and controlled manner.

2024.05.19 07:32 Signal_Marsupial_129 Related?

First CT: Proximal appendix measures 8mm, non-dialated gas noted in distal appendix. No acute appendicitis identified. Comparison CT: unable to confidently observe appendix. Mild wall thickening noted in ascending, hepatic flexure, and transverse colon. 26F. Presented to ER with what I thought was a ruptured ovarian cyst. ( I have been admitted in the past for ruptured hemmoragic cyst and it felt similar). First CT scan was preformed. Sent home with recommended follow up. The only pain I have is R lower back and hip- dull ache. Tested negative for 32 bacterial/viral infections. Could these finding be related or likely separate conditions?

2024.05.19 07:30 Nataliebabes111 Finding a specialist

Who do we go to that specializes in the womans reproductive system to help me with the symptoms I have?! It’s seems as if I have ENDO, BUT I DON’T HAVE A LOT OF SYMPTOMS. This is the first time something like this happens to me. I normally have a high pain tolerance, but my body is so stiff and sensitive now. I literally feel stressed. March 19, i went to ER for right pelvic pain: they said I had a hemorrhagic cyst under a cm due to ovulation. April 2, I went to a OBGYN, & she sent me off and said it will go away & the pain is likely to something else, to go to your primary care. April 13, I went to ER for right pelvic pain that let me sleep 1 hour throughout the night. Did ultrasound & CT: they said I had free fluid (blood) in my pelvic and lower abdomen. Within 1 week, all pain went away. I did lots of walking in 2 weeks after that week and felt fine. Little soreness here and there, but nothing major. Week of April 23, I was ovulating and some days it hurt a little bit on right pelvic area. I DID NOT MENTION THAT THE PAIN/DISCOMFORT LINGERS UP TO MY HIP AREA. After that week, little stings here and there. Since March 19, I had this little bump on my pelvic area and I still have it. It is just smaller. May 12, I started my period: I feel more discomfort. Doesn’t even feel like cramps and I normally don’t get cramps either, if I do it’s in the middle and this pain was coming from my right pelvic. May 16, stinging pain/discomfort coming from left pelvic! May 18, I’m writing this at 10:26pm & during the day I was ok, but during the late afternoon to this time i have more stinging and stiff pain. It’s not pain where I want to go to the er, but my body feels so irritated and vulnerable, that I want to cry. These few nights, I can barely lay down to sleep because both sides are stinging. I don’t want to stand up too long because it hurts or stretch bc it feels funny. I AM NOT DIAGNOSED W ANYTHING. BUT DO U THINK I COULD HAVE ENDO?!

2024.05.19 07:30 White_Ring Best gaming mouse to buy right now

Hello everyone, The most asked question in most gaming related subreddits in "what the best gaming mouse?" I have seen a lot of redditors struggling to find the best gaming mouse for themselves. Some people find it difficult to find the best in budget mouse. So, I have created a list of best gaming mouse to cover all your needs. It includes some high-end mouse and some budget options too.
  1. Razer Viper V2 Pro (best overall)
  2. Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro (runner up)
  3. Logitech G305 Lightspeed (best budget)
  4. Fantech Aria XD7 (best mid range)
  5. Razer Basilisk V3 (budget alternative)

Razer Viper V2 Pro - $100

The Razer Viper V2 Pro is the best mouse for gaming. It has the same shape as previous models in this popular lineup, which makes it ideal for using a claw or fingertip grip. However, it's now significantly lighter and features Razer's updated Focus Pro 30K sensor, one of the most accurate and consistent sensors we've tested. Additionally, its click buttons use optical switches designed to prevent double-clicking and last longer than standard mechanical switches.
While this version is significantly lighter and easier to move quickly, it lacks some features that characterized previous models in the lineup, including rubber side grips, RGB lighting, and side buttons on both sides. If you're more interested in weight savings, you may feel these changes are for the best.

Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro - $133

With over 15 million sold since its inception, the Razer DeathAdder has certainly earned its place as one of the best gaming mouse. There have been so many iterations and variants of the legendary mouse and with the newest one, the DeathAdder V3 Pro, Razer isn’t really messing with a winning formula. This is a mouse that focusses on the very best aspects of its predecessor, and that comes in the form of excellent ergonomics and pro-level performance.
It's fast, comfortable, has excellent battery life, and is supremely accurate in the right hands. Razer claims 90 hours battery life, and the little squeaker only needed a mere single charge in three weeks of usage.

Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED - $40

If you want to stick to a more budget price point, I recommend the Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED. The G305's symmetrical, egg-shaped body is very comfortable and accommodating for nearly all hand sizes using a claw or fingertip grip. The build quality is also impressive. There's no creaking or flexibility in the body, and despite being significantly more affordable, it feels nearly as premium as the more expensive Logitech G502 LIGHTSPEED. It connects wirelessly with Logitech's LIGHTSPEED USB receiver and gets an impressive advertised battery life of up to 250 hours from a single AA battery.
Last but not least, this mouse has excellent click latency and consistent sensor performance. Its major downside is its weight (101 g), making it harder to make snappy, responsive mouse movements for faster-paced games.

Fantech Aria XD7 - $78

At a mid-range price point, I recommend the Fantech Aria XD7. Its symmetrical, egg-like shape provides a comfortable fit for most hand sizes and grip type preferences. Despite its more affordable price tag, it's only a bit heavier than my top pick, the Razer Viper V2 Pro. It has PixArt's flagship sensor, the PAW 3395, which is closely related to the sensor in the Razer and offers superior performance across the board. It's pictured in its lightest configuration with a modular back plate with small cutouts to save weight. That said, it also comes with a solid back plate option that's only slightly heavier if you prefer the look and feel of a solid plastic body.
If this mouse has a weakness, the battery life sits at a maximum of around 30 hours between charges. While this won't present any problems if you get into a regular recharging schedule, it may be annoying if your usage is more variable.

Razer Basilisk V3 - $49.99

The Razer Basilisk V3 is the best mouse for gaming at a lower mid-range price point. This mouse is similar to the Logitech G502 LIGHTSPEED in many ways. The biggest difference is that this is a wired-only model. Otherwise, they share nearly identical ergonomic shapes, an impressive array of customizable controls, and outstanding sensor performance and click latency. The scroll wheel also has left and right tilt inputs and can switch between regular notched mode and a much faster free-scrolling mode.
Because it doesn't need to hold a rechargeable battery, it's significantly lighter than the G502 LIGHTSPEED. This is a notable advantage, making it easier to move quickly and accurately, which is handy for playing faster-paced games.

Just Picked Up This 6spd
Occasionally have typical questioning after a big buy of if this was the right choice, as I haven’t ever had a car this new. Then I go drive it again, or look at it in the garage, and am like yes, absolutely, this is almost flawless despite being an economy car.
The faint anxiety of Buyers Remorse is getting annihilated by good engineering lmao. Do occasionally think the hybrid version would have been nice, but ultimately the hatch platform and faster 0-60 is worth 15mpg average lower or whatever

2024.05.19 07:27 cadwal Help Picking a Tent for Camping with Family

I’m trying to expose my LO (7) to things I never did as a child and perhaps encourage them to be more adventurous and braver than me in the process. Just imagine if Chucky Finster were all grown up, realized he never got over his fears, and is doing everything in his power to avoid passing those on to his children… that’s me.
I need some guidance on choosing the right tent for camping with my LO. My LO has been asking to go camping several times over the past year or two, and I've decided to put together a kit to make it happen this fall. However, I'm stuck on which tent to buy. Unfortunately I have a tendency to get decision paralysis frequently and inevitably make a decision that turns out to be less than ideal.
Initially, I was considering a 4-person tent, but I've read that a 6-person tent might be better for the standing room for the family. While the size is something I'm still considering debating, my main concern is the humidity, as we live in Florida.
Currently REI is running discounts on their tents and the Discovery Basecamp 4/6 Tent caught my eye. However, some reviews mention high humidity inside the tent. I've also looked into the Coleman Skyden Black Out, but I'm still worried about humidity issues.
Are there specific materials or features I should focus on to mitigate humidity? My budget is $100-$200 (preferably on the lower end since I'm not sure if this will be a long-term hobby for my LO).
Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

2024.05.19 07:27 Amazing_Major_5501 AITAH for defending a girl I've only known for 3 months over my friend

So I just created an acount for this lol. So I'll call this girl Cherry and my friend would be A. We are all in our 19s or 20s studying at university so yeah.
I met Cherry about 3 or 4 months ago When I was in line for a movie at the university cineclub, she was too shy when I met her, to the point that she was even embarrassed to ask if the movie would be there. But dear lord she was so damn stunning, like.. one of the most beautiful girls I've met in my life, kinda like the Catherine Zeta in "The mask or zorro". Cherry is tan, kinda short and has this beautiful wavy dark brown hair even her eyes are so dark they almost seem black. The point is that I was there, considering if I was really straight or if she was making me feel a bit fruity. Long story short we became close and now she's one of my friends, that same day I found out that she was also friend with a friend from highschool (A)
So both of them where in the same friend group that really looked like the euphoria version of the heathers and Cherry was Veronica. And since I met her I knew how hard she was with herself about homework and even attending all classes. I think whe's the only 20-year-old I know who doesn't smoke, doesn't drink, and still asks her parents for permission to go out. I knew immediately that she didn't fit in with the others, but I didn't say anything.
And yesterday she texted me because A and her friend group set her out to make a whole ass presentation in class, alone. A and her friends (we'll call them B and C) went to the restrooms because C "felt sick" and of course that A and B would go to console her and Cherry stayed, she said that she called them and they did not answer so she had to do the presentation alone, on fucking top of that, she discovered (while she was presenting) that A, B and C didn't do shit about the presentation. She was so mad, that even the teacher told her to give him the names of her team mates to fucking lower the 10 pts of the presentation, and then they came back from the restroom and had the audacity to complain to Cherry for not having said that they had also helped in the presentation. Truly a "the lion, the witch and the audacity of this bitch" moment
So of course that Cherry was doing the whole project on her own, and that A and her group where out of the team. Like, take in count that this is a final project since we don't do exams here and this project was 40% of the final note/grade (idk). And from what she told me they ignored the message in which she told them to do the project on their own and that she wouldn't be working with them anymore nor was she going to give them the grade (ig lol) no matter if they were her friends. And then she asked me if she was in the wrong, and I was like... girl you're setting limits ofc you're not wrong like???
And then A messaged me, shit talking about Cherry, so I stopped right there and texted her something along the lines of "Girl, you did not"
And A got mad because I was defending Cherry, because I'm supposed to be her friend and a good friend is always on your side 💀 Even B and C started saying that I was a bad friend for not defending A and for prefering Cherry over them. I asked some of my other friends and the majority of them said that I was doing nothing wrong because common sense. But some of them said that I was being a bitch with A because I just met Cherry some months ago and A is my friend since highschool
So am I the asshole?

2024.05.19 07:25 mccgi Training for KB Sport - A General Overview

Workout structure:
rep schemes
Rep Schemes for Specific Endurance
variable method can use change in tempo. this is recommended for running (i.e. using sprint intervals during a run) or doing sprints after x reps in longer kb sets
complexes are mentioned especially as effective for stretching, multiple cycles of stretches
Strength training rep schemes:
Cardio Endurance - running, increase duration over time, then increase intensity
Overall Training Structure
microcycle - days to week, mesocycle = month/s, macrocycle - yeaquarteper comp
4 stages of preparation (mesocycles)
  1. 2+ months preparatory - uniform method, running, strength training. first increase volume, then increase intensity.
  2. 1 month/5wks Pre-comp - variable methods, focus on specific endurance
  3. “several weeks” to 1 month peak competition - lower volume, repeated and interval, focus on comp lifts, competitive estimates. still use at least 1 uniform workout per wk
  4. 1-2 weeks post comp - light and short workouts, do not increase workload
in preparation phase 70% is strength training, 30% is classical, slowly moving to 50-50 over time
Ryabchenko Jerk Training Structure -
5 sets per workout. Main sets use kbs 4-6kg lighter than comp weight.
  1. “Power” set 1: Main weight + 4kg. low reps, emphasis on static holds (top and bottom). Followed by 3-5min rest
  2. “Power” set 2: Main weight + 2kg. 2x reps of 1st set, followed by 3-5 mins rest
  3. “Main” set 1 - 40-50% of max 10 minute reps. followed by 30s-2 mins rest (ideally 1’) but not enough to recover
  4. “Main” set 2 - Main1 reps + 2. followed by 3-5mins rest
  5. “Light” set, Main weight - 2kg, reps = two thirds of (main set 1+ main set 2)
Exponential Growth of the Main sets - 5+7, 8+10, 12+14, 17+19, 24+26, 32+34
Jerk Pace 6-22rpm depending on weight, main sets are ~3 minutes, light set is ~5 minutes
Microcycle of 2 weeks, 5-8 workouts. The last workout in the microcycle is the “peak” where max reps are recorded. Last 2 workouts in a microcycle are easier - no “light” set, “power” set reduced in the 2nd to last and ommitted in the last.
Every microcycle, increase the main weight (and therefore everything else) by 1-2 kg

2024.05.19 07:24 PinballPounce A comprehensive guide to sound-deadening a 2018 Third Gen Mazda3 Hatchback

This will function as a one-stop guide to sound deaden the 3rd generation Mazda3. I believe it will be useful for any previous or next-gen Mazda3 owner, or anyone with a CX-30, as these platforms share many components.
Like others undertaking this project, I did a ton of research on sound deadening, the process, and the products first before jumping in. I would encourage anyone pursuing the same project to read through the links I’ve included in this write-up as they should give you all the information you need to sound-deaden your car in a comprehensive, easy manner, without having to do the weeks of research I had to do.
Pre-reading:
If you haven’t already, read through this thread for background as this is a solid, comprehensive write-up.
https://www.mazda3revolution.com/threads/sound-deadening-my-17-mazda-3-bn.242072/
Materials Needed:
1. Butyl-based mat to apply first as your base layer
I used 72 square feet to do the entire car, including hood, wheel wells, full interior, rear hatch area, and all doors. I did not do the headliner.
Total cost: $200 CAD
I used 1 box of 2mm (80 mil) Kilmat, and 1 box of 2.5mm Amazon branded butyl sheets. I found the Kilmat had better adhesion and was easier to cut and work with, because of the smaller sheet sizes, so I used this for tight spaces and the doors. The Amazon stuff was great to apply to large areas such as the floor of the vehicle, because I would just stick one entire sheet down and be done with it. It’s also slightly cheaper than the Kilmat.
Other brands: Silless, which manufactures the closed cell foam, also makes this stuff for a reasonable price.

2. Closed cell foam as the second layer
I used 100 square feet.
Total cost: $200
I did a LOT of research and shopping around to find the best balance between price, value, and performance of closed cell foam. I ultimately landed on using Siless Liner 157mil (4mm) closed cell foam which I found on Amazon. Noico is also another brand that makes this stuff for slightly more cost. These come in boxes of 51 square feet for about $100. I thus bought two boxes of the stuff. I did end up with leftover product, which I have saved as it can be used to stick on anything else that causes noise such as a furnace, washing machine, etc along with the leftover butyl mat.

3. Rubber-based floor underlay as the final layer
I used a 100 square foot roll of Technoflex Underlayment Acoustic Membrane, 2mm thickness.
Total cost: $85
Product link: https://www.rona.ca/en/product/technofloor-technoflex-underlayment-acoustic-membrane-thermal-insulation-4-ft-x-25-ft-x-008-in-100-sqft-rubber-material-black-m2000-100-73015020
Alternate link: https://technoflexintl.com/en/product/technofloor-acoutstic
Other products I considered, but chose against as the Technoflex is thicker
In Canada, you cannot find mass loaded vinyl. My goal was to find something relatively cheap and functional. I went to underlay because it’s sold in bulk and there are many products out there to compare effectiveness. Flooring underlay also has specific requirements in order to carry a particular sound deadening rating. It’s also rubber-based, like vinyl, so I figured I would just double up on layering as I had enough product to do so. I did end up doubling up the layering in most places and had leftover product.
Please note, this product is not adhesive. You lay it down like a blanket and you need to cut it to fit in tight spaces. Thus, I did not use it in vertical areas like the doors. I only used it on the floor and trunk of the vehicle. I am not technically inclined enough to adhere or screw it on the doors, but there are other people in the links on this thread who have done so, so depending on your skill level it is certainly possible.

All Tools Required
  1. Socket set with 10mm socket and a Phillips screwdriver. I purchased a full socket set because I did not have one and found one on sale.
  2. E-torx socket size 12 to remove the front seats. I just purchased a set of 8 for $20
  3. Trim removal tool and plastic clip replacements, approx. $20. Extremely useful!!
    • The metal trim removal tool is worth its weight in gold. Trust me, there are a LOT of plastic trim pieces to remove, and this tool makes them very easy to remove properly without breaking anything. All cars nowadays use plastic trim, so it’s a worthwhile purchase if you’re ever going to do work on any future car as well.
    • I purchased the set above because it came with a whole array of trim removal tools as well as a huge variety of replacement plastic trim pieces. I ended up using a couple pieces that broke when I did the doors. The kit has everything you may need for most vehicles, including our Mazdas.
  4. Rubber roller, $12. Useful for rolling down the butyl mat and closed cell foam.
  5. Do yourself a favor and get some gloves. I used my bare hands for about 50% of the time, and they were sore, and had little nicks and cuts all over them by the time I was done. Much easier with gloves.
Skill Level
I have a general interest in cars but the most technical work I’ve ever done are oil changes and tire swaps. This was the largest and most technical project I ever embarked on. I work an office job, so I don’t even work with my hands a lot. If I can do it, so can you (as long as you set aside the time and have the proper tools).

Results
I did not take before-after videos, as that has been captured by videos on Youtube as well as people who have measured the noise levels in the threads below. All I can tell you is that this does work. In my opinion, the project even for a newb like me is totally worth it. For less than $500, and a couple days of work, you can make your Mazda feel like an entirely different vehicle.

Now, sounds and vibrations are barely transmitted going over rough roads. The car feels so much more planted and stable when going over bumps. The audio system sounds better. The doors close with a rich-sounding ‘thunk’. By far the biggest improvement is getting a whole new level of isolation within the car, which makes long trips so much more tolerable and the daily commute so much more relaxing. I would 100% do this again.

The project
Okay, let’s get to the project itself! I’ve broken up each area of the car into separate sections. As the write-ups below are fairly comprehensive, there is no need for me to reinvent the wheel.

Doors
This link contains pictures and instructions, very clearly detailed, on how to do the doors. I did the rear doors first to get used to working with all the materials, then the trunk, then the interior of the car. I would suggest following these instructions.
https://imgur.com/a/2018-mazda-3-sound-deadener-install-vE1o9Hi
Before taking apart your doors, also read through this thread as it contains some more details and information that you will find useful.
https://www.mazda3revolution.com/threads/sound-deadening.126105/?post_id=1624345&nested_view=1&sortby=oldest#post-1624345
This thread is also good to read as it is very detailed. It is for the previous generation, but the door design has not changed that much compared to our generation.
https://www.mazda3revolution.com/threads/cheaply-and-effectively-sound-deadening-your-2010-2013-mazda3.111385/

Wheel arches
Use these links and instructions for the wheel arches
https://www.mazda3revolution.com/threads/sound-deadening.126105/page-2
As well as the Imgur gallery from the Doors section for some more pictures.

Trunk
This is the easiest part of the whole project. If you’ve read the threads above, you don’t need any help with this. I did not do the hatch door. I do not think that is worth it, because if your trunk area is well insulated and you have your rear seat up, there’s not a lot of noise that’s going to get through the hatch door.

Interior
This is the part of the project that I had to figure out on my own, so I want to give several tips that will make it easier if you’re doing this.

~1. Removing the interior carpet:~
First vacuum the carpet.
You don't need to remove the entire console to get access to the majority of the floor. To remove the interior carpet, first remove the rear seat, then the front seats, then the interior plastic trim, and finally there are some pieces of Styrofoam in the front wheel wells. You can pull up the carpet for the left side of the vehicle as you work on that side, then tack it all down, and repeat for the right side of the vehicle.

~2. Removing the front seats~
First, disconnect the battery using the 10mm socket. This is recommended by the manufacturer to prevent accidental discharge of the air bags.
If you have the E-torx size 12 socket, removing the seat bolts is a breeze. I zipped them right off. Undo the back bolts, then slide the seat to its rearmost position, then remove the front bolts. Roll the seat onto it’s back to access the harness, undo the harness, then remove the front seat either from the front or rear door. It doesn’t matter.
Go to this site and download the PDF that Anchorman posted. That is all you need to know to remove the front harness. It took me HOURS of searching the web to find a resource this good – there aren’t even any good videos demonstrating what the PDF shows. https://www.cx3forum.com/threads/drivers-seat-removal.17234/
This was both the easiest and hardest thing about the project. Where I got stuck was removing the wiring harness from underneath the seat. Don’t be like me and stick a screwdriver in there, because that can damage the plastic. Instead, simply lift the white tab, press the tab underneath, and the harness comes off nice and easy. The link above with the PDF by Anchorman is what I WISHED I had at the start. I hope this will make it much easier for you.
Don’t be worried about the airbag going off etc. Using the diagram in the PDF, it’s just 1 harness and it comes off super easy and clips back in super easy too. It’s idiot-proof. You won’t have any trouble.

~3. Remove the interior plastic trim~
Again, watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aat4kUanm9w to see how to remove the trim and in what order. It’s actually quite easy and easy to reinstall as well. Just remember that the front and rear passenger scuff plates go on last. The other interior trim, does not matter what order you reinstall it.
Another tip, when removing the furthermost front inside trim (i.e the fusebox cover) and its equivalent on the front passenger side, there is a plastic nut securing that trim in place at the very front of it. It’s hard to see in there. Simply reach your hand in there, find the nut, and lefty-loosen it all the way until it comes off. Easy peasy!

~4. Remove the carpet~
You can pull up the carpet one side at a time. I recommend starting with the left side. In one area only, I cut through my carpet in order to remove it on the rear passenger areas, where it is affixed underneath the front seatbelt holder. This is not a problem. It was just easier this way, and because that area gets covered up by plastic trim, it doesn’t matter if you cut through it to make your life easier.
Once the carpet is lifted up, vacuum underneath it to ensure you have a clean surface that your butyl will adhere to.

~5. Do the driver’s side first!~
The front left side of the vehicle floor is the hardest to do because you have to contend with the footrest, reaching underneath the steering wheel, and the gas pedal. I removed the accelerator pedal – it is just held in place by two 10mm nuts, and then an electrical harness that easily clips off. Remove it and set it aside. Then, lift the carpet and remove the Styrofoam. Use a needlenose plyer to help unclip the plastic portion holding the Styrofoam in place. I did not end up reinstalling that plastic piece, as I installed sound deadener where it would have plugged into the floor. No harm.
I suggest doing the driver’s side first because once you’re done that front left area, the rest of the car is super easy. So do this while you’re fresh. Try to cover as much as you can in the front wheel wells, because that is a significant area of incoming road noise. Be systematic about cutting the butyl and closed cell foam in the correct sizes here, as you will have to reinstall the gas pedal, the Styrofoam, and the carpet properly. The good news is that it’s all easy to reinstall. I didn’t have any trouble.
Once you’re done with the driver’s compartment, systemically work your way with large butyl sheets and closed cell foam through the rest of the car floor. There is no need to apply this stuff up where the plastic trim will be reinstalled, on the inside lateral frame of the car – if you do so, it might be more difficult to reinstall the carpet and the plastic trim. Just do the flat bottom floor only, and you can hold the carpet up to access up along the centre console as well. (Keep in mind this is written for someone with my skill level – i.e newb. If you are more advanced and know what you’re doing, then go ahead and put some butyl or CCM in the inside lateral area, the area otherwise covered up with plastic trim).
I did not go for 100% coverage. To do that would take a lot longer. I went for about 90% coverage with the butyl and closed cell foam, and the rubber Technoflex layers covered up pretty well 95% of the area.
When you are laying the material down, ensure not to cover the holes for the seat bolts. If you do by accident, no worries – just use a screwdriver to poke through them, and you can easily still thread the bolt through when you go to reinstall your front seats.
Repeat the same steps on the right side of the vehicle.

~6. Reinstall the plastic trim.~
First reinstall the carpet and ensure all the holes line up. Reinsert the plastic clips into the holes to hold the carpet in place. Then, reinstall the frontmost trim piece, ensuring it clicks into place, and finally screw the plastic nut on. You may need to lift the rubber insert around the door to replace the plastic trim properly – the rubber insert comes off and goes on very easily, it is very forgiving to work with.
Then, install the B pillar trim piece. Then, the inside rear trim piece. Finally, the scuff plates, front and rear.

~7. Reinstall the front seats.~
~8. Reinstall the rear cushion.~
~9. Plug in the battery again.~
You’re done! Go for a rest drive and let the results speak for themselves!

Final thoughts
I did not take pictures because I was too busy installing the stuff and there are plenty of pictures available on the various threads.
I did reach out to many people on the forum and on Reddit who have done this project and from everything that I’ve learned, I believe this should be all you need to know to do this project successfully.
It will take several days so set some time aside. Here are some rough estimates:
