I'm contemplating a voluntary resignation & giving up almost 3yrs of tenure to take a break, but need to make sure I am in good standing to apply for any facility as soon as 2 weeks. Pay difference doesn't matter much, but just need a clean break without having to go through LOA's since I don't have enough UPT to cover enough weeks for a good break! I can afford a month at most without pay, but need to work as soon as I'm free again after dealing with tax filing responsibilities.

I was curious if anyone have noticed high latency with the Bose QC Ultras. If I'm watching a YT video or Netflix on my tablet, voices and mouths are very noticeably out of sync. I'm using them with AptX adaptive, so it should go into low latency mode automatically, but it's bad. I did a latency test on YT and it failed terribly, but my V-Moda M-200 ANCs don't have near the latency and it uses the older version of AptX (HD). I know all BT with have latency, but I own a lot of BT headphones and this is the worst.
Has anyone else experienced this latency?

Hi everyone. Was wondering if I lock this 26 year old pitcher up while he's not asking for much. He was originally a Rule 5 Draft pick that I scooped up cause I needed a quality arm. He already had decent ratings, but then he got TCRed and his Stuff spiked up from 60 to 80. I looked what he would be asking for if I offered him a long term contract. I wanted to see what he would want if I offered him a 9 year contract extension, and he would only want around 47.6m over 9 years, which means I would only be paying him 5m per year. Considering that he already has a 1.12 ERA through 8 innings in Spring Training, do I lock him up while the going is good? Since I'm managing the Pirates, I feel like extending him before he breaks out would save me a lot of money in the long run. What do you think?

One major tip I can give that may help is about resumes. resumes for federal positions are very different than the ones used for private sector jobs most federal resumes are much longer. Here are a few key pointers for tailoring your resume for federal government job applications, especially for FEMA:
Highlight Relevant Experience: Emphasize any past work, volunteer experience, or education that aligns with emergency management or public service. FEMA values diverse experiences, so don't hesitate to include roles that demonstrate your adaptability, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Make sure to detail the day for all dates otherwise HR will assume its the shortest time between two dates. For example January 2022 to February 2022 if written like this HR will assume its Jan 31 to February 1 cutting off what could be 2 full months of qualifying experience when what should be written is January 1 2022 to February 28 which HR would give the full time between dates. This is one example of the nuances of federal resumes that's worth knowing
Use Keywords: Federal resumes all go through a manual review but are looking for specific things. In every USAjobs post there is a section that says " One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade" then gives a few things that you have to have experience in listed on the resume this is what the HR person will review for. Make sure to include keywords and phrases from that part of the job posting in your resume. Additionally, beyond showing those things write the rest of the resume for the Subject matter expert who will be the hiring official that reviews whether or not they want to interview. if there is more of an opportunity to do This will help your application stand out and show that you're a good match for the role.
Be Detailed: Unlike private sector resumes, federal resumes require more detail. Include specific accomplishments, the scope of your responsibilities, and the impact of your work. Quantify your achievements wherever possible.
Format Appropriately: Follow the federal resume format, which is different from a typical one-page resume. It's usually longer and more comprehensive. There are templates and guidelines available on sites like USAJobs.gov.

So I thought I could finally start learning and growing, today is my 3rd day at work. The work here is basically RLHF being outsourced to us for peanuts. During joining they never mentioned the client or the actual work that would be done. Since they were saying that client and work details are confidential, they can't reveal it, it seemed understandable. Boy after my first KT , I immediately knew this was RLHF work, no development, and all the work should be done on someone else's turing account. I talked with manager if there's any other work, she said no. Then I told her hr and director said there would be other things to work on, she said ask hr. I talked with him, he convinced me to try this work first and get adapted it then think about other work. I was convinced for that moment, but now I feel like I've been cheated , probably getting paid 45 rupees an hour, and I do NOT want to continue this kind of work. What's laughable is the extremely high quality of work for this kind of pay (u can't just click and write some random justifications for ratings, u have to deep dive and do LOTs of corrections and write according instructions and in different formats when needed).
What I want to know and need help with is: - The offer letter was signed by me mentioning my role, internship time and 1 month notice period. - They had received my aadhaar card and PAN card copies before sending me the offer letter.
How do I leave without doing the notice period? Will be blacklisted from further companies outside? It's only been 3 days. I'm worried if they can impact me in any way.

Hi, I m a 22 year old Dental Tehnician from Romania and i m thinking about quitting the dental field. I started the 3 years of courses with optimism, hope and a good view on the dental technician career, I started working as a intern at the end of my first year of college. At first I went to the stone casting department and learned șomer of it but the bosses would nt let me do anything, so i changed labs, at this new lab i worked for 2 years, in wich i learned how to cast all types of stone models, how to glaze and adapt zirconia crowns and bridges, how to operate 3D printing machines and metal 3D printers, some ceramic stratification, how to organize lab cases, and other things along the way. I quit from this lab( where I was appreciated for my long hours of working and dedication, but only that, not much money, the usual day would be 10 to 11 hours, 5 days a week + 2 saturdays a month for the minimum wage of 400 €, as i was not legally employed because i was a student), i quit because they were going to change the location of the lab to a bigger building outside of the city, where the busses dont go i could not afford a car with what they paid me. After i graduated in July of 2023 they offered me employment full time for 600€/month, i have not accepted it because i was glazing around 500+ crowns of zirconia a month and the doctors were happy with them as well as the pacients (even had the big honour of doing the zirconia crowns for the all on 6 upper jaw piece for the lab's HR employee), the boss said that i was the best and most hard working student he s ever had, but not good enough to accept my offer(700€/month full-time). I got to another, smaller, lab where the boss was not happy with anything i was doing, looking for any small mistake or reason just to cut from my paycheck of 500€ a month(my rent and utilities get around 250€ without food and basic needs) so i quit again. Another lab, same old story, grumpy boss all the time, says i know nothing(which i was aware of because i didnt consider myself a master, but let s Say a level 3 out of 10) and i sould get happy i m getting some money from what i m working( he payed me 400€) and i should be grateful to him not charging me money for teaching me what he knows, și i quit. Now i quit the prothetic part and i m in a orthodontics lab, making removable appliances but i still work long hours, i still dont have time for myself and the people around me, i still get told things like "it s your fault that You dont have time and money" from my boss, my phisical and mental health are getting worse by the day and i have a grim outlook of my future working in this field. I envy my friends who work as Call Assistants because they get to work from home all day and make more money than me and i find myself questioning If is this the path i want in life, to live just above the surface of poverty, to not have time for my familly and hobbies, to die of some work related illnes? I want to quit because i ve tried 5 different labs and not one showed a better future( the one where I worked for 2 years was better, but only because i was a student, saw someone 1 year higher than me graduate and after he was employed they treated him like a pack mule as well). I feel ashamed of quitting because it would feel like giving up, but i m tired of not living my life, of living my youth years in the lab, of not being able to afford more than my basic needs, i know i m at the beginning but i când feel this field of work is killing me already and i dont see an end to the suffering which I now have.

Why are drones pasty and bland coloured? Company inclusivity policy - all employees must look identical so nobody can be discriminated against for their appearance
Why do they never run? Running in the workplace causes accidents, so was banned.
Why do they assimilate? Well we really wanted your enhanced replicator technology, but the purple and pink colouring offended species 14837 - formerly known as the xargotians, so when we took over we changed it to the agreed upon corporate colours.
Why the hive mind? So HR have access to all records at all times, its like an ultra strict form of microsoft intune.
Their mission became to make the galaxy an equal opportunities zero discrimination safe space, they are just a bit misunderstood
