okay so this is my first server job and such so i never experienced anything like this at my regular old subway job lol,
we have been having problems with our manager, for example yelling at BOH and such but today was just too much. one of the cooks walked out and quit on the spot but i honestly don’t know why, i was preparing a door dash order. our manager apparently was going to hit her after she mentioned she was gonna quit, but then she screamed like bloody murder on the top of her lungs DONT FUCKING TOUCH ME!! that startled me, my other coworker, and all of the customers in the restaurant. i really don’t know what conspired for that outburst but then our manager started yelling back GTFO and stuff.
so at that point i was thinking what the hell is going on and went up to the customers to give them their checks and apologize but then the cook that quit she came up to me and yelled “give me the fucking phone i’m gonna call the cops”. i said “okay just calm down we have a family here with a baby”, and she said “i don’t fucking care you guys can cook your own fucking food i’m out of here”.
at that point me and my coworkers were shook and after she called the cops she threw the phone towards customers on the floor…and yea my manager apologized to us about his yelling after the cops/security came but still he shouldn’t even have yelled and attempted to hit her(from what i heard)…
i was very overwhelmed honestly even though none of it was me and the other waitresses fault. i went to the bathroom to breakdown and cry lol but honestly after this shift idk if i wanna work there anymore or should i just suck it up???
thanks for reading if you did make it this far and sorry if my story sounded confusing lol, but i truly don’t know what happened for her to quit on the spot but it was not okay for what our manager did back!

Hello there,
I would like to use the opportunity here during this Indie Sunday and introduce myself and "The Settlings" to you.
I am 40 y/o solo developer working from middle of Europe and I've been working on this game for the last 2 years during my spare time. I really loved the games back in early 90s and wanted to build something which will give us some good flashbacks :) I would say that, even I am taking the inspiration from old, almost forgotten games the gameplay is fresh and unique! - There is absolutely no AI but only a simple set of rules, like we know it from Lemming games. This force the player to think about building placement and invite to constant Settlings flow optimization. To allow this all I have made some design decisions to support this kind of game play and f.e. terraforming features are already available in early game, so everyone has all needed tools to build a settlement in own and unique way.
In the game you can also fight some fantasy monsters so if you are intrigued, check the steam page!

Iam in a 6 year long relationship ( 5 years 8 months specifically). we have had several breakups before several, harsh, ugly what all u can even imagine, over the worst situations, over 3rd person, over lack of interest from his side, over some stupid mistakes, over disrespecting nature and name calling each other. i was just 15yo when i first met him, and now we both are 21 year old. i thought it will grow with age, i thought holding onto him no matter what with make us go stronger as we age into maturity, i thought we will always find a way. only to realize that what if what i did was just spending the best years of my youth forcing someone to love me, forcing someone to believe me that we are really meant for each other. we broke up in 2022 which was the longest till date, it happened as soon as our long distance started, it happened so quick, but still remained hard for me to believe, i went begging to him for almost for a month, i was pissed of by his behavior, i wanted him to love me, i wanted to marry him still and live with him, above all i wanted him to make his way back to me when i brokeup, but he didnt. How easy was it for him to let go of a 4 yo relationship? (that time it was 4 yrs). i prayed like hell to god to heal me, to return him to me again, to make me happy. he was my only person. i didn't even tell anyone about the breakup bcoz it took 1 whole month for me to believe that its actually over. i did what all i could have, i sent a post to him without even knowing his correct address.
yeah and in all these 48 days i didn't even receive a single text from him, not even a single!!!!
cut short to 2 days before my bday. lol he came back, only for me to know that he came under the influence of weed.--- this i got to know 2 days ago that he came under heavy dosage of weed that time.
we again brokeup during my exams. this breakup went for 11 long days, i made myself very firm that he is not coming back. infact i told everyone this time becoz i didnt want to let my gaurd down and let him mentally trouble me again. this whole time i was unaware about the addiction he has got into, i was fucking unaware that he has been lying to me all the time. he came back and confessed to me that he used to smoke almost every other fucking night telling me goodnight. he used to miss his exams and come back to me and tell me how it went, used to tell me that his exams arent going well and i used to console him over it, all liessss everything fake
he called me fake, called me a manipulator, called me a victimizer. only for him to realize that whatever he told me was all those things that he already have become. i wasnt any of them, he was!!!
i promised myself that i wont fall prey to it again. it was the time during my exams and i didnt want to make a rucuss out of it. i just wanted peace whatever it takes. so i decided to be calm and show and express my anger , my emotions, my disappointed over his lies after few days. but i failed again. idk how many times god will let me fail until i get detached completely, until it didnt have the power to hurt me ever again. but if its him, god how can i not love to get hurt a thousands time from him over and over again.
he promised to not take me for granted, little did i know that he already started taking me for granted just bcoz i was being calm (due to my final sem exams) he must have took me for granted on the 4th day of coming back itself. we cried over texts we chatted late night, i did care for him more than my exams knowing i coukd even fail tomorrow. when i got the truth i thought the only person in this world who could bring him out of this darkness is me, i didnt care if he ruined my exams by leaving, i still didnt leave his hand, held it tighter than before if it meant that he could change, he could leave his addiction.
its been 26 days since out patchup, and i find myself here, crying for his efforts, for the promises he made that he wont leave me if we breakup, he promised me that and yesterday he said fuck it iam not coming back to you if we breakup now. how am i supposed to believe?? i got panic attacks, i got sick, iam going for therapy session starting next week, i got my BP and heart rate checked, am sitting and doing coping mechanisms to deal with this, i cannot sleep whole night, i got bad anxiety, i dont even talk to anyone, i dont like the things i used to. he doesnt give a fuck how iam, he doesnt give a fuck abt my tears. least bothered.
now iam forced to think that he just needs me for his needs to be fulfilled becoz he knew only i can be that dumb to support him at his lowest. now i think its all attraction from his side, now iam forced to believe that i just go back to him bcoz of the memories i shared all these years and not bcoz of the person he is right now,the person he has become right now. his unability to prove me wrong, his unability to reassure me, his unability to do the things i asked him to do for me, his unability to seek forgivness is just making me more and more sure day by day.

EDIT: I posted this a week ago to another community and since then we’ve talked it over and “made up,” but he never apologized for what he said. He just said, “If I wanted to hit you, I would’ve. No one wants to hit you.” I had a terrible dream about him earlier this week allowing others to harm me. I told him today and he didn’t take it well as he said, “we obviously live in two different worlds…you do understand this way of thinking isn’t normal.” I took the dream figuratively as I feel I have no control and I honestly just feel emotionally unsafe as if I’m not heard in our arguments. All I wanted was reassurance but I was met with resistance which is understandable because this week has been a rough one for us both. We’ve been friends for years and all of this behavior is shocking to me. I’m honestly drained.

I've had this male friend (let's call him Bob) since elementary school. He has had a crush on me (I don't know how long) but l've always kept it platonic. I recently stopped talking to him for 6 months due to an uncomfortable situation he put me in with his gf, where she made comments about my appearance in front of our friends and Bob laughed instead of diffusing the situation and pulling her to the side. Fast forward and he reached out to me. He stated that I had his number and could reach out so we could talk everything over. I tried and it failed. We ended up arguing and we both said hurtful things. But one thing stood out: he claimed that my boyfriend (let's call him George) likes one of their mutual friends. This mutual friend, let's call her Amy, has a reputation of liking my boyfriends and being with them after I leave them. She is currently dating my ex. Amy and George were close friends years ago and fell off because George's then gf felt that Amy liked him. He has since reconnected with Amy because she was a dear friend to him but this made me uncomfortable and I warned him prior to their meeting. When Bob said this to me, it made me question a lot because he never told me. I told George about this and it angered him as he said it isn't true. He demanded I give him Bob's number but I refused. I was considering him talking to Amy about this but reniged as it would have made matters worse, but George became suspicious of this and demanded I tell him why I didn't want him to talk to Bob. I told him that Bob and I had conversations about our relationship in the beginning when I was unsure which included me not finding him attractive and being reluctant to us dating due to us both getting out of relationships. George is furious at this point and stated, "I should whoop you and Bob ass." George has made several comments in the past that he would hit a woman if he were embarrassed by her etc. I feel that what I did was terrible and I feel terrible but I found George making several posts about me on social media stating that he didn't find me attractive in the beginning of our relationship in a romantic way because we've been good friends for years. I felt as if we both had the same feelings and went about them the wrong way, but l've been painted as the sole enemy. I ignored the red flags and here I am. Sad and disgusted with myself for even doing any of what I did. I was wrong but ' also know George was wrong for saying that. George is play off as if all he said was, "I should.. and not I will." I don't knov. how to feel. I want to cry because this is unbelievable but I also want to never talk to anyone about this. I'm stuck.

2024.06.02 08:14 Cry5233 Getting a PS5 (Pro/Slim) or upgrading my PC?

I'm in a dilemma.
My current rig has the below specifications:
I5-7660K
ASUS ROG Strix GTX 1060 6 GB OC
HyperX 16 GB Ram - 2333Mhz
3 TB internal HDD
Corsair 550W PSU
MSI Z270M Mortar
Dell 2240SL Monitor
This PC has served me exceptionally well since 2017
From being able to run the then newly released AC origins at 1080P Ultra on nearly 60 FPS to now almost struggling to give 30 FPS for Horizon Forbidden West on Medium, it's been a very reliable machine.
I am a huge soulsborne nut and the only From software title that eludes me is Bloodborne. I know they haven't rolled out a patch to make it 60 FPS and don't know if they ever intend to release it out on the PC, but I HAVE to play it.
I'm also very interested in playing some of the mainstream AAA sequels and other titles that Sony has released (Forbidden West, GOW: Ragnarok, Spider-Man 2 & Ghost of Tsushima etc)
I have always wanted to own a PS...and until recently i believed in NOT upgrading my current rig because that would mean changing almost every single component for fear of bottlenecks and that would set me back by about 1300 USD. I'm talking full CPU/GPU/motherboard upgrade along with the monitor and a new cabinet...the whole works.
Not to mention, I felt that the upgrade wouldn't be proportional to what benefit it would give me on the gaming side. There was not much i could play additionally that I hadn't already played before.
For all you know, I'd invest that amount but still end up starting another run of Elden Ring, something that I can do even now without any performance issues.
The PS5 on the other hand, would only set me back 650 USD (Including an additional controller and perhaps a few starter titles) and just give me an option to play the more elusive titles I've been wanting to play.
However, with the release of GOW: Ragnarok imminent this September, I'm now second guessing my decision for a PS5.
A PC is something I need to have in my life at all times, not just for gaming mind you. My current rig is showing its age. I'm witnessing a lot more of the blue screen of death, motherboard overheating, the rear USB ports giving up on me time and again..I can see it's slowly but surely approaching death
But it's going to be a costly upgrade for not a proportionate return.
So what do I do? Go with the PS5 at 650 USD right now or save up for the beefier PC and just wait to to play almost all of the console titles when they release for the PC eventually.
TL;DR - My PC is dying and I'm contemplating getting a PS5 for 650 USD now or save up and spend nearly 1300 USD on upgrading the PC for not as much proportionate return, atleast until the mainstream AAA titles are all out on PC

2024.06.02 08:14 AkumaZ Dojo Guide to Higher Scores

Aka your roadmap to the leaderboard!
Who am I? A dojo obsessed masochist who is nearing the end of mirroring every dojo fight (beating enemies with their weapon and style)
I’ve gotten on the leaderboard a few times in the process and it’s gotten me more interested in how it all works and figured sharing what I’ve learned can help others
Alright let’s start by breaking down the scoring, which will lead into some more detailed breakdown of things
You’re score is based on 3 things
Time
Damage
Technique
First off, Time. This is really your DPS score, the faster you kill the enemy the higher the score, I’ve seen upwards of around 4600 I think and I’m not sure you can get much higher than that, but this is truly a measure of how well you kill things.
Next: Damage. This is actually scored based on how much damage YOU take, with a max score of 4200. Now if you take even a single hit, that drops down 1-200 points depending on the severity of it and can quickly drain your score if you keep getting hit
Now if you’re only worried about the master rank of 7k, you can kinda see how just no hitting and killing fast regardless of anything else gets you there
So here’s where it gets more interesting
Tech. This is scored on 3 different things. How many crits you get, how many countersparks you get, and how many martial arts you land
The martial arts part I think has a quality and quantity score, aka landing a few big ass hits scores just as well landing a bunch of weaker ones, which is why you’ll still see good tech scores from Greatswords and Odachis despite less total MAs used
Now prior to the most recent update, it was just Crits and Countersparks, and typically the ceiling for that score was around 1600 or so. Now though, you can get tech scores 2000-2500+ if you’re landing martial arts all over. Sometimes then it’s actually worth it to drag a fight out a bit longer in order to get more Countersparks and MAs landed. You might lose 2-400 points on the time, but potentially gain 800+ on tech in the process
Again for the 7k threshold, this is easy as hell to reach with the change, but if you’re going for something higher like the leaderboard, you more or less have to do damage exclusively with Martial arts. After all any regular hit done doesn’t get you any points in itself (but if it helps you kill faster then it helps your time score)
So it serves you well to figure out what combination of MAs work for you and your favorite styles. Violent Gale and Flash attacks are also pretty crucial to this, not because they score points by themselves but they allow you to more quickly transition from skill to skill so you can land more scoring Martial Arts. PLUS they help your Ki management and recovery.
So how do you get in the leaderboard? Simple really
Don’t get hit, counterspark damn near everything thrown at you, deal damage almost exclusively with Martial arts, and get at LEAST one critical hit in the process. 2 is better but not always possible
Pre 1.05 9000 pts was sorta the threshold for “great”, didn’t take a perfect no hit run but overall excellent play. 10k+ was the realm of absolute perfection (or pre nerf Unearthly Flame)
Post 1.05, 9k isn’t such a hard thing to achieve, I’d say 9700ish is the new equivalent of that, with 10k+ being the next step, and likely puts you on the leaderboard. Absolute perfection with a meta strategy puts you in the 11k range
And not all fights are created equally, as an example I think Genzui first dojo fight actually has a higher scoring potential than the fierce version because of the mock vs actual combat, allowing you to get an extra crit and more countersparks
Let’s also compare the 2 different types of dojo fights. Mock combat and Actual Combat
Mock combat is with wooden weapons, damage is much lower and fights tend to be longer because of it. For your gear you’re only benefiting from your 4 armor pieces and 4 accessories so builds are more limited. In these fights, you’re often able to get 2 crits and sometimes 3 if you play well
Oh and if you like running 6 katana styles you need to enter into the dojo with 2 equipped, once you’re in the menu only gives you access to one of each weapon (except bayonet because its rifle and shotgun bullets)
This has made some of my sequential mirror fights a pain because I try to double up on weapons to flash attack between the same style
Actual combat is basically toned down real shit. You have access to your normal weapons, though they’re downtuned for base damage which means your bond transferred skills and set bonuses also apply. The base damage is higher compared to wooden weapons, on top of having more of your build available, leads to shorter, bloodier fights. If you use hard hitting big weapons sometimes a second crit is hard to come by because of the sheer DPS. Oh you also get your grapple hook! That can be a big deal if you’re running the Dragon set to make use of its grapple max ki damage
And now we get into some more details about MAs I’ve found work EXTREMELY well for dojo scoring, my MVP list
Remember the tech score includes critical hits and MA landing? Well there are some skills that do BOTH, so you get a double count on your score for using them. I highly recommend having one in your arsenal, and several veiled arts are included so there’s some flexibility
Now the downside of these arts is your Ki recovery is slower to start up after use compared to a regular triangle crit so be aware. Also the actual critical blow portion tends to come at the end of the move, so there’s a bit of lead time with it. The slower ones you’ll maybe consider using to actually be part of the final depletion process, but if you’re committed to a big combo that ends up fully depleting an enemy, there may not be enough time to do the entire art with the crit at the end, in those instances just take the regular crit
I apologize if the names are off, I’m doing this off memory at the moment
The number one art? Nozuchi Drop on Odachi (Mumyo). This is a triple threat. It’s a skill, it does a crit on a Ki depleted enemy, and on a panicked enemy it suplexes them. Plus it’s FAST and useful even if you’re not in a scenario to use the extra functions. Even when it takes the crit it’s a very fast and short animation which can save you precious time for your score. Plus the crit happens almost immediately so you run less of a risk of missing the crit compared to other moves. Works great in combos too because of its speed and as a standalone for the panic grab after deflecting attacks
Next I like Roaring Blade on Tennen Rishin Latana. It does a big ki pulse that can do a good deal of Ki damage and the downward slash can take the critical hit, good at the end of a combo when an enemy is near depletion.
Night raven(Mumyo) and Spring Storm (Jigen) on Katana. These are triple threats in a different way, and are especially useful in Mock Combat because they count as grapple attacks, so they can trigger the Dragon grapple ki without having your grapple! Oh and they also can take critical hits, so excellent choices all around
Twin Dragons (Mumyo) on paired swords. This is a GREAT art, it is fast, does a bunch of hits, does great Ki damage especially when blocked, and can take the crit
Bone Shatterer on bayonet. This is another solid one, does a great deal of Ki damage, does a BIG crit hit on Ki depleted, and overall just fun to use
Demon Bear on Greatswords. Decent, animation for the crit is a little long but you do start regenerating Ki sooner when you use it compared to others
There are others, every style (except unarmed) I think has at least one Veiled Art that can also crit but these are my favs
A couple non criticals worth mentioning
Autumn Current (Hokushin Itto) is a solid choice, does great damage, even better Ki damage (especially if they’re blocking) and you can run it as long as you have Ki. Be wary of overcommitting with it though, its easy to do
Shadow Double, a bit slow overall but can strip Ki very well. Gives you a somewhat long range option too. Not sure it’s worth using as a VA on another katana style but Gikei is a solid shinobi style so it’s there for you
Mugai-ryu Firecracker. Not a veiled art, has a tricky range, and a long recovery after using it. But it does a FUCK ton of Ki damage, if you use it after a violent gale so that you’re very close to an enemy that helps ensure it hits. I’m planning to experiment more with this one after I finish my mirror challenges
And if you haven’t checked out the write up on Panic, I’d recommend giving it a read, as learning to understand, plan, and manage panic is really the key to getting those low to no-hit high score runs

Although, with his line of work he works crazy hours that are different everyday. Back where we moved from it was a normal 6 or 7 AM to 5 or 6 PM and sometimes later but not by much. Now with where he is, he's working anywhere from 11PM the night before to 6:30AM (majority of that is him leaving at 2AM) and then he'll get home between 3 to 6PM. The thing is my husband, understandably, falls asleep either when he gets home or early at night or BOTH. In either case I get very little time with my husband. I am by no means mad at him, obviously it's not his fault. I am however, out of ideas as far as actually hanging out with my husband.
For more backstory: We play card games and watch movies (he usually falls asleep) but other than doing things on weekends we don't get to spend much time together. A couple months ago we bought a house and finally have our own place. I was expecting to be able to see him every night but I feel bad when I try to spend time with him. I don't want to keep him awake or make him feel even more unrested.
I guess should I just ride it out and figure it out? Am I an asshole for expecting more time with my husband right now?

Would the two Stangg Twin tokens created by [[Stangg, Echo Warrior]] also get two (because of doubling season) temporary copies of each equipment/enchantment on Sangg, Echo Warrior.

E.g, I attack with a Stangg, Echo warrior equipped with only a [[Sword of fire and Ice]]. Would I create two Stangg Twin tokens, each equipped with TWO swords, which, if they all (Including the original) connected, equal 5 cards drawn and 5x2 damage burn triggers (plus the combat damage) ?

What if I also had a [[Helm of the Host]] atached to the Echo Warrior ?

At the start of combat I'd get two Hasty token Echo Warriors, which combined make 6 Twins when I attack, but would they all get Swords because Echo Warrior says For each Aura and Equipment attached to Stangg, create a token that’s a copy of it attached to Stangg Twin but doesnt specify which Stangg Twin?
Or would it only be the Twins produced by the equipped Echo warrior that get Swords?

If there is a way to make this build more tanky, please let me know.
Or suggestions for other high firepower and durability builds are welcome.
Major builds I have played and tried this season:
1，CoC DD Inq - Great fun, but had some durability issues.
2，HoC Necro - lack of firepower, durability problems except for block.
3，kitava ice nova hiero - had durability problems because I went for the kitava version to make it easier to play.
4，Forbidden Rite PF - I don't know what it was, but it died quickly.
5，Armor Stacker Scion - I could only spend about 300 div, so I gave up due to lack of firepower.
6，SS Trickster - Best build of the season for me. High firepower and durability. My wife took all my gear and jewels.

Depending on their choice, they either gain or lose points, and a visual effect is triggered to indicate correctness.
Here's what I'm trying to do:

It’s super late where I live but boyyyy I’m just so mf upset, I need to get this off my chest. I have never felt pretty. Never in my life. All my girlfriends can get any guy they want and are constantly approached by them. But not me. Just yesterday I went out with one of my gilrfriends for a girl’s night. She had multiple guys glued to her all night while I played chaperone to make sure she was safe. I tried to have fun and I danced by myself and vibed with my drink but I won’t lie, it absolutely hurt my confidence. I stupidly have a crush and I’m 30000% certain it is not reciprocated. But that’s fine and I’m not surprised.
I’ve never had a crush be reciprocated. I’ve never looked good in a candid photo and even posed ones I will take a million and look at one I sorta like until I hate it. I feel absolutely horrific about myself and it thinking about it too much makes me feel like all the air in the room is gone. My last boyfriend constantly made fun of me and my weight and never complimented me even when I tried really hard to make myself look good. I’ll admit he did a number to my mental health and self esteem for 2 years but I feel horrible even after leaving him.
I eat healthy, go to the gym, take care of my skin, hair, and nails, and keep myself active with hobbies but it never helps. I am working with some doctors on specific medical issues I have that make it much harder for me to lose weight compared to others. I’m not 200 lbs or anything crazy but I am short so I look stocky-ish. My nose is too big for my face and I have a weak jawline with no definition, even when I was under 115lbs.
I feel like I’m absolutely losing my mind over my appearance. It consumes my thoughts constantly. If I could get filler and plastic surgery, I would. My siblings are gorgeous but I definitely got the shit end of the stick. I am so deep in this cycle of self hatred that I’ve started skipping meals. Food scares me now. I weigh myself multiple times a day. I have made myself throw up to speed up the weight loss process and think about it every time I eat. Because to me, maybe being skinny would give me SOME points and make me feel better somehow. It is so pathetic and attention seeking but I can’t help it anymore.
My friend posted a picture of me and my pet in our group chat with friends after a hangout. I am barely in the picture, just from my mouth/chin and down but I burst into tears over my friend sharing it when I was alone. I don’t believe anyone who tells me I’m beautiful because I know they’ve just become accustomed to my looks because of my personality and being funny.
I know personality is important but I want to also be desired. I want to be wanted. I want to like who I am and what I look like so badly. I have no idea how to truly love myself and that’s the scariest and loneliest feeling in the planet. It is so pathetic and humiliating to be a grown woman and feel this way. I honestly wouldn’t mind wasting away into nothingness. I’m not fishing for compliments here and I’m sure this won’t get seen anyways cause it’s so mf long. I hope ranting at least makes me feel somewhat better. We’ll see.

On the other hand, according to her, him and her played games together and talked almost every day for hours. One day, she randomly messaged me that she felt like I wasn't moving on and was hoping I would reach out to her to talk? But she waited too long for me to reach out so she reached out herself
She approached me with information about one of the girls he messed with. She told me "trust me, I'm close with him so I know it's time to move on, I'm just trying to help you. don't tell anyone I sent you this". she started talking about how she thinks he has abandonment issues, commitment issues, etc. After that, she said she's gonna find out "what's wrong with him" because he seems to be "struggling mentally lately" and let me know about it. I never asked her to do that.

To be honest, I didn't think much of this and thought she just wanted to help. But a couple people are saying she isn't being a real friend by telling me all this in the first place. It got me thinking if maybe she's just trying to help, but socially unaware or she's actually shady. Tbh thank to her I found out he messed with a lot of girls before, during, and after me. I'm thankful for that and it has helped me move on, but sometimes it just feels like she's rubbing it in? Sometimes the things she tell me, idk how it benefits helping me move on in any ways. Next time she brings him up, I'll tell her I don't want to hear about it anymore because he's dead to me now. But I'm not sure of her real intentions, maybe she has good intentions? Also, if she's telling me all his business, nothing stops her from airing out my business to him too.
TLDR: After my ex and I broke up, a mutual friend grew very close to him. She shared unsolicited details about his life and often compared my relationship with him vs her relationship with him. She claimed she did this to help me move on

My (21M) and my girlfriend (20F) live in 2 separate houses ~30 minute walk away from each other, though we spend most nights together. Last night she went out with some friends for a fancy meal and then clubbing. Instead of going back to hers, we agreed she could come to mine so we could be together the next day. At around 2am we were texting and I said I was about to go to sleep but that she could ring me to wake me up, she said that was great. I left my phone next to my head on the pillow and went to sleep.
I wake up and notice daylight meaning it’s morning already. I was surprised as I was expecting to be woken up at like 3am. Then I look at my phone and I have hundreds of messages from my girlfriend trying to get in. She called me so many times and I did not wake up once. She was out there for over an hour before I’m assuming she went home. I know she would’ve gotten an Uber to mine but I don’t know if she would’ve walked home which would’ve been dangerous.
I then check my phone, angry that I didn’t wake up. Did it actually ring? I set an alarm for in 2s time and sure enough it makes a noise. I am so angry at myself for sleeping through it. I should’ve set an alarm (I have one that gets increasingly loud until you do maths to turn it off) for like an hour after going to sleep just in case.
So now my girlfriend is presumably furious at me (she’s still asleep) and tbh I’m furious at myself for letting her stand outside my house in the cold for over an hour and even then not waking up, making her go back home. I’ve been seething in it for over an hour now and don’t know what to do.
TL;DR I agreed with my girlfriend to wake up and let her into my house in the middle of the night but slept through all her calls.
