Cata holy paladin pvp

Hi, my and my friends are considering playing cata classic. Our main focus is leveling together. We really like world pvp, and we had a lot of fun leveling in wrath while killing players of the enemy faction. However, it seems like most of the existing EU PVP servers are heavily populated by a single faction (e.g. Firemaw 98% alliance, Gehennas 100% horde).
What would be the best server to play on for us? Are there any "fused" servers (where we can see players from other servers in the open world)? I don't really have a good understanding of how these things work - what would be our best course of action?

Why Blizzard? This is just going to kill more participation in pvp. Idiots.

I've been trying to come up with a new angle for a Kenshi series to put on YouTube. Came up with an idea that would be entertaining because of the challenge as it teststhe capabilites of Kenshi. Trying to figure out if it's even possible to do this so I figured I'd ask before I try. I want to do a run fighting for the Holy Nation but as a hive worker, someone they find the most feeble/repulsive. Spend time to find a way to stay disguised enough that when I go in and do things for them I don't get arrested hopefully. Do you think this is possible, and if so would you watch the struggle of (Insert Name Here) in their quest to become a paladin?

What in the holy hell am I missing?! I have played battlefield servers to up my pvp game. I’ve worked on my recoil control, spray pattern, and made sure I’m armored up with hqm chest and face mask, road sign kilt, pants, hoodie, gloves, leather boots etc.
I have played multiple servers where I have obtained an L96 with HV ammo, used skinbox to change all my clothing to camo, found an elevated position in some bushes, and a victim in the distance. They will be standing still and I have a very clean headshot and when I pull the trigger I get a direct hit but they start moving around. I immediately chamber another round and fire again with another direct hit somewhere on their body. They are still standing so I chamber another round and hit them again. They finally figure out roughly where I’m hiding and kill me with two shots from an AK.
This happens on a LOT of servers and I’m genuinely baffled. Is there some magic armor or weapon combination that I’m missing. Some attachments that make the armor stronger or the rifle more powerful?
The amount of people who can run, jump, and shoot single shot headshots is just mind boggling to me. It doesn’t seem to matter what armor setup or weapon combo I have or how many times I shoot someone they almost always seem to turn around and fire a quick burst and kill me. I just don’t get it.

I've started holy grail from scratch recently - vanilla D2R, no abusing larzuk or forcing a terrorzone - "full legit".
I have level 87 paladin, it would be something like day 2-3 of ladder for me.
Notable drops:

• pcomb on playthrough
• java skiller + 5dex on playthourgh
• skullder
• zaka
• tal's armor
• wizzy
• jah rune !!!

All these on players 1 or from uniques.
Usually playing ladder I wouldn't get these drops in a month and jah I got once in 20 years.

Hi, i just wanted to rant about a problem player I had in my party. This person who i'll call R, has been quite a problem player in my game. I've posted about him before on D&D as he was adamant about pvp but ended up "agreeing" with my terms regarding it. I'm a new DM and this was my first time actually DMing and I put a lot of effort into setting it up, the party consisted of a kemonomimi dog bard, cat warlock, and a tiefling warlock (yes i know very balanced), an oathbreaker paladin (R's character edgy backstory and all) and a fairy artificer, (R's bff who just went along with anything he said). All of these players except the kemonomimi dog bard were new to d&d with the bard having dm'd before, (honestly such a great player and person and gave me great tips after the oneshot.)
Now, the problem started as soon as we started the session. I was running one of the modules from Candlekeep mysteries on Roll20 since it was more accesible to us all. R couldnt be on voice chat for some reason and his bsf as well, although he was able to before. As I was explaining to the party and introducing them to the setting and roleplaying the NPCs, he kept commenting how bad I was at roleplaying and kept spamming skip dialogue in the voice chat and moving his token wherever. He also kept drawing dicks on the map and made a "sillies corner" for him and his best friend the fairy artificer.
Afterwards a bit further into the campaign he still made the same comments and also kept moving his token around in some restricted areas as well, I probably should have put it in the fog of war but I forgot to so that was honestly my fault. However after that as soon as the party were getting deeper into the story, he just leaves. Out of nowhere. No text, no nothing. Afterwards his best friend left as well. I tried to involve him and them into the story and get him to interact more but he just didnt. I would just be met with insults and shut up. Until he just left.. its not like he lost internet connection, he was still online. He didnt want to interact with other players other than be hostile to them except his best friend, and he just kept insulting me as a DM.
Luckily this didnt deter me and my party and we just continued as normal. My tiefling warlock got pretty upset though because they thought it was rude and R had been getting on their nerves for quite some time. We ended up having a blast aside from the long arduous combat when they accidentally aggro'd the entire map, however it ended well and we ended up with an epic showdown against the BBEG's. Afterwards my players told me they enjoyed the session and the kemonomimi bard complimented my dming style especially for a new dm which was really nice coming from them and gave me some really great tips as well.
The bard also commented that, that type of player R was, was very problematic, and said that it would be an immediate kick from them at their table. Afterwards I was honestly pretty upset, especially as he had the nerves to talk to me afterwards out of game like it was all good. I ended up talking to my partner and friends about it which includes the tiefling bard and they tell me I should talk about it to him but I dont wanna confront him while I'm still pissed. I honestly have half a mind to kick him from the group, but my partner says to talk to him first about it to not escalate things any further, and because R had been going through some shit recently which might have affected his behavior (recently moved out, broke up with his gf, etc.) Which I agree with.
Thats all, I also just found it funny how in the previous post I made about R, that it would end up on rpghorrorstories and it did. Not so much a horror story though and I admit I was not the best at roleplaying, but it was also my first time and he knew that and as a friend irl, the least he could do was be nice. I'll talk to him about this when I've calmed down as this has been an issue in other areas as well and I dont appreciate him just disrespecting me even if it was a joke. I still wanna DM, but I dont think I wanna DM for R anymore though.
TLDR: R insulted my dming skills during the oneshot, was hostile to other players aside from his best friend and left midway through the oneshot without any explanation. The strangers on reddit were correct.

I wanted to build a holy damage paladin character that uses Silluria’s Tree as a melee option, along with the Erdtree Greatshield as a way to do ranged damage by parrying the rings of light incantation. Would this be a viable build for PVE? I’m not sure if I should softcap my faith and get the minimum requirements to wield both weapons or maybe allocate my stats into half faith and half strength, which option would give me the most utility for both equipments? I worry I’ll spread my stats too thin and barely have any points left for vigor and endurance. Not to mention the already bad reputation that holy damage has. Help would be appreciated!

So I think I’m set on going sub rogue for cata pvp. Just wondering what race u think would be best. I’m debating between human nelf or blood elf. Just wondering your takes on it. I know human is probably the best choice for the double damage trinkets but I see nelf being a good option for the free restealth. Reason for blood elf is because my friend is playing horde for cata so would be able to raid with him using it and still be able to pvp. Always really liked the silence as well. Would me going blood elf put me at a big disadvantage or is the difference pretty minimal.

My group has decided to do a Lv 20 one-shot and I'm taking the opportunity to play an Ancients Paladin. While I feel pretty confident about my build, I still have a few questions about playing it.

1. Holy Avenger gives advantage against 'spells and other magical effects'. While this is ultimately up to DM interpretation, what's typically seen as a non-spell magical effect?
   
2. What's the best mount from Find Greater Steed, specifically among the three flying options?
   
3. Is the Defense fighting style still relevant at high levels, or should I swap it out?
   

Any other advice is also appreciated.

I am struggling to decide and lock a class for Cata for my main. Right now the choices are mostly between Shaman, Warlock, hunter or DK. Currently have all four classes at 5k gs now mostly from prepatch pvp gear and been doing a fair bit of gammas on them. In cata, I am going to PvE 90% of the time, but will def dabble into some pvp for fun (prolly rbgs). I'll briefly lay down some points of interest for me for each:

• Shaman I would play mostly Ele, it's just stupidly fun and satisfying to see big crits, but the rotation can get a bit stale sometimes since it is so easy. I am also worried about open world quests/elite soloing and survivability (also pvp)
  
• demo warlock is pretty much an s tier spec in cata, very good at pve, flavourful and engaging rotation and immersion into lore/rp of the class, great utility (ppl will literally fight each other for your link haste buff), severely underplayed (its a nice bonus since it.means its easier to.find spots), can solo most elite quests, can go affli for serious pvping. Just worried a bit about the raid fights which mostly involve movement, whereas demo just like to stand still and cast
  
• DK - not a huge fan of unholy, dont really like snapshotting gargoyle and waiting for all procs/buffs to align perfectly to parse well, its a very hit or.miss playstyle for me. I'd rather lean into frost dual wielding, either masterfrost or obliterate build, its fun and good dps right now. Also added bonus blood is the best tank, can solo dungeons elite quests etc very easily and even occasionally tank some heroics when dps queue times get too long. Also melee life is fairly fun, I am just worried there will be too many dks around and hard to find raid spots, especially when not playing unholy
  
• hunter: survival has fun rotation, insane dps, been liking it so far for the past few weeks, wouldve loved a bit more melee elements added to it, but its cool. Obviously.good at questing/farming/soloing elites etc, my main concern is being locked into a single role/playstyle and MM not being viable outside arenas in cata and BM is kinda meh

It is late afternoon in Drakkenheim. The party are in the ruined basement of The Rat's Nest Tavern. They noticed a tunneled out passage and follow it carefully. Heiren has the misfortune of slipping on the muddy floor of the tunnel and he slides down into a spiked pit trap. A swarm of rats residing at the bottom of this pit start gnawing at him and he falls unconscious. This draws the attention of some nearby ratlings and the gang enter combat.
At first the ratlings had the advantage and things looked grim. Through the powers of teamwork, luck, and strategy the gang turn the tide. Viktor using his draconic roar to ruin the ratlings' morale. Brenna using her magical talents to revive Heiren with her words and blasting bolts of energy with her hexblade. John fighting the ratlings defensively and using some rope to help pull Heiren out of the pit. Heiren getting payback using divine flames. Figgis shouting out strategies while using his shortbow. Jobez using his wild shape to fight the ratlings as a dog. With their enemies slain the gang continue exploring the nest.
Brenna and Viktor's Pseudodragon familiar separately scout out parts of the nest only to discover the various sleeping quarters of the ratlings. Many of these small nooks occupied with ratlings. Brenna also manages to find a long passage leading to a room where a large ratling with a crown and delerium teeth appears to be holding court with some of it's lackeys.The gang regroup and stealthily traverse around the sleeping nests only having to slay a single sleeping ratling. Around a corner and down a long tunnel they find the same scene Brenna described to the party. Using the Staff of St. Vitruvio, Viktor summons a pillar of holy flame and wipes out several lackeys. "WHAT WHAT WHAT?! WHO DID THIS?! YOU WILL PAY?!" The Rat Prince sees the party in the tunnel and another battle in The Rat's Nest ensues....

I am having a blast, it was always hard for me to get into retail and got easily overwhelmed. I made a character and got lvl 65 in 20 hours so i did not even get to experience the leveling process that much which is what i was most excited for. Switching to wrath a couple of months ago was better, but i played paladin and the class design was "auto". It also seemed to me like wrath generally had less fun class design before reaching the higher levels. Cataclysm currently is the perfect middle ground for me and am really enjoying this. Idk why i made this post, but hype cata!

I just started playing holy paladin and wanted to get into SoloQ.
First Q I got matched with a full 1900-2000 rating players, second match as well.
I just played my 4th soloQ on the hpal and I am still exlucsively matched with 1800 players despite me standing 3-21 in SoloQ.
WTF, how am I getting out of this, it doesn't make any sense.
On a side note, anyone got any ressources for getting better at hpal? I used to be somewhat decent many moons ago but I get butfucked by pretty much anything and hpriest doubling my healing.
