Hello everyone, I have an old laptop with a 500 GB SSD installed. It’s currently unused, so I was thinking of retrieving it and attaching it to my desktop PC. I would like to use it to run Linux in a dual boot setup with Windows 10. Could you tell me what steps I need to take to achieve this? Also, which version of Linux would you recommend? I prefer something as secure as possible. I decided to do this after my PC was attacked by a Trojan virus. It was properly formatted and restored after the attack, and a friend of mine who works with computers recommended creating a Linux partition. He mentioned that a good portion of viruses that attack Windows do not affect Linux, so if I want to be more secure, I should work with Linux and then transfer the files to the Windows partition. I have never used a PC with a dual operating system. Does anyone know how I will select the system? I assume I need to set up two separate profiles and choose at startup, correct? Additionally, if I work with the Linux partition, can I transfer files to the Windows partition using the file manager? Thank you very much for your response and your help!

I'm at my wit's end, hopefully someone can help me resolve this issue. I apologize for the deluge of text you're about to read.
My laptop is an Acer ConceptD 7 Ezel CC715-71, running Windows 11 Pro. I got it late 2020 I believe, and aside from the sound no longer working a few months in and the finger print sensor saying it can't recognize my fingerprint after like a handful of uses until I reset/re-register the fingerprints and anew, only for the process to repeat yet again, it's been perfect.
(I was living in Canada at the time and imported it from the States, so after all the hassle with customs, it wasn't worth jumping through all those hoops to send it back again, even if it was ridiculous that the sound and fingerprint sensor stopped working just a few months in for such an expensive device.)
Fast forward four years to yesterday, and it was working fine, but I went to the bathroom and came back, and suddenly the WiFi wasn't working. It was fine on every other device/phone/laptop/Steam Deck, but no matter what I did, the WiFi refused to connect.
In the past, I've had issues with this laptop being the only device to not connect to the WiFi network in this building, but now it's not detecting any networks. It claims the WiFi is on, but checking in the settings show it isn't. Clicking it on refuses to engage, either failing to do so, or looking like it complies before immediately turning itself off.
Then the WiFi icon/option would disappear entirely, and the Bluetooth did the same. I would find the Bluetooth setting in the Device Manager window when I enable "Show Hidden Devices", but I don't know how or why it was hidden.
My Network Adapter (Intel (R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201160MHz, I believe) would be disabled, and checking the Event tab in the Properties would say things like "Device not started (Netwtw10)" and "Device configured (oem91.inf)" and things like that.
I would try updating, downloading the latest drivers from Acer for my laptop using my phone and transfer it to my phone and try to install them, and sometimes it would say it installed and works, but other times it would say it detected the drivers I wanted to install but failed to install them.
I've tried disabling and enabling the driver, uninstalling and reinstalling it, deleting it and restarting the laptop to automatically get it again (not sure how it did so without the internet, but it would be there, every time), and doing the same for the Bluetooth driver.
Sometimes the WiFi would work for like all of a minute or two, before it would become disabled and find no networks and there would be an error with the driver and the event log saying things like the Device didn't start, and once or twice I think I saw it say "WiFi Device Cannot Start (code 10)".
At this point I was ready to give up and just use my phone as a hotspot for my laptop to connect to and call it a day until I could care enough again, but even that wasn't applicable, because that option for Mobile Hotspot was grayed out and said something about how I couldn't connect it no Ethernet or Wifi device connected. (Specifically, it says "We can't set up mobile hotspot because your PC doesn't have an Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or cellular data connection.)
All through this, my laptop started being fucking weird in that if I clicked "restart", it wouldn't turn itself back on. I'd have to press the power button to do so, and even then, it often wouldn't. I've tried power cycling like three fucking trillion times, and it would never work consistently or turn on after I've let the lights blink several times or waited 30 seconds or 60 seconds or longer.
(Aaaaaaaand I suspected my WiFi would be a bitch again and so I tried to send what I've typed out on the laptop to my phone via Telegram (because typing all this on my phone was getting tedious), but of course, the WiFi went out the SECOND I tried. I was using the Mobile Hotspot option immediately just in case my normal WiFi network went out, but it still disabled itself and wouldn't stay online via Mobile HotSpot when the option was available/not grayed out like it is now.
So I'm going to have to save this wall of text as a text document or something and manually transfer it to my phone.)
I finally decided to do a system restore, selecting one from May 26th, and it took like 30 - 45+ minutes, and of course it didn't restart itself, but when I finally managed to find the right power cycle attempt to get it to turn on, my laptop said the system restore was a success.
Huzzah! It was working. For 30 minutes.

So I tried to download MalwareBytes on my phone, and it downloaded then I transferred it to my laptop, and of course it needed to connect to the internet to download the rest of itself, so it wasn't conducive to anything in this situation.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver and I (foolishly) thought I had solved my WiFi/Bluetooth issues last night and was even feeling galvanized to try and open up the bottom of my laptop and see if the sound issue I've been avoiding dealing with/coping by using Bluetooth earbuds/headphones for the past four years was as simple as something being unplugged, so I went to get my strebito kit, which I see everywhere around me and in my vicinity, except of course (you guessed it) the one time in four years that I actually genuinely needed it :))))))))))))))))
I also got a BSOD today, and I think I glimpsed it saying something like "ACPI block management", but it was very quick so I can't be sure. I tried to google that, but the only ACPI answers I could see in relation to googling it for reddit solutions (lol I love that everyone has had a problem before and that there is invariably a reddit thread with that exact problem, situation, and solution) were in relation to ACPI BIOS errors, so it may have been that.
I tried accessing the BIOS (which took a lot and trial of error in power cycling because of how inconsistent it is that my laptop has been with turning on since yesterday). Of course, I had apparently previously set a BIOS password when trying to allow my laptop to boot into Batocera like a year or so ago, and I apparently am not intelligent enough to have had the foresight to write it down in a note or document on my phone, despite me knowing my ADHD/memory is garbagio, so I always make it a POINT to do so, because I don't trust my powers of recollection (and apparently, as evidenced by this instance, with good fucking reason!).
Of course, I forgot to mention that now my laptop freezes, including when I was writing up a majority of this thread in the aforementioned notepad, so now I can't even transfer it and have to re-type what few paragraphs I see (I had JUST scrolled down to make more distance between the bottom of the text and the document because I hate not having that visual buffer between the text and the bottom of the window, it makes me feel like the text is running out or more difficult to see/continue) on my phone anyways, so that was yet another obstacle. 🙃
So, to summarize:

1. Laptop's WiFi/Bluetooth keep disabling themselves and the Bluetooth keeps hiding itself, so not even the icon is visible. The WiFi can't find any networks, and refuses to turn on (even though it says it does when I toggle it), and when it's like this, I cannot connect via Mobile Hotspot either.
2. The laptop is being very peculiar about it restarting, only does so if I press the power again after it shuts down (despite me selecting restart), and even then, only sometimes. I keep having to power cycle it to try and find the perfect sweet spot to let go and have it actually turn on.
3. The laptop now freezes within 20 or so minutes, and stays that way until I restart the laptop.
4. Sometimes it tells me that a driver reinstall works, other times it says it doesn't.
5. The driver events say that the device did not start, and error 10.
6. The laptop showed a Blue Screen of Death today, and the error said "ACPI" followed by (what I think it was) "block management" or (what it probably was) "BIOS error".
7. I set a BIOS password that I do not remember.
8. I do not have access to my Strebito toolkit to open up the laptop, nor do I have money to take it to BestBuy Geek Squad or wherever does laptop repair.
9. My laptop speakers do not work, despite sound apparently playing based on the animation/sound waves playing in the sound settings when media is active, and stops when nothing is playing, leading me to believe maybe something has been unplugged for like 4 years internally.
10. (I have many a time tried to uninstall, reinstall, download, and update Realtek drivers, but no sound comes from my speakers.)
11. I managed to run MalwareBytes, and it said it found a Neshta virus in a CEMU/WiiU emulator I downloaded literally years ago in the CEMUHOOK.DLL file), which I assume was present even in the system restore done yesterday backed up from 6 days ago. Apparently there was also Yontoo adware. I have since quarantined them.
12. (I should perhaps also note I rarely if ever use CEMU, and certainly haven't within the past two years, if not longer. I just like having access should I do desire on a whim to play.)
13. The problems (aside from the missing sound) started just yesterday, when I was away from the computer briefly, so it's even more vexing because I wasn't there at the onset of the issue or saw what caused it.
14. I'm incredibly reticent to do a clean install/start from scratch because I have so much stuff I'd have to reconfigure and download and reinstall because I'm a very particular person, and that would be so insanely time-consuming, you don't even know. If there's anything short of nuking this laptop that can help resolve these issues, that's what I would like to find out. I'm aware this is not the optimal/best idea, but I'm willing to deal with that in the future.
15. I do not have access to the router, as this is a building and they handle the Wi-Fi.

Either the universe or my own hubris and ineptitude keep trying to humble me, so I require patience and assistance. Please. And thank you. 😭 Whatever steps, whatever instructions, as long as they're clear and step by step, I can provide whatever you might need to deduce what the issue is and what a solution might be.
Edit: Of course, as soon as I do everything in my power to try and get it done and finally admit defeat and resort to outside help from the community, the internet seems to be stable for the moment. I'm hesitant to turn off my laptop and restart again to see if that's still an issue.

Heya y'all! i recently took the jump into the DAT realm and got myself a TCD-D7 for a really good price from my local e-waste store with the understanding that it wasn't working. upon acquiring an actual DAT tape i believe it may actually be mostly functional outside of the current error code i am getting, which is 10 error. The documentation i have found shows that this is a tape loading mechanism issue where the loading is not completed. I have attached an imgur link with a video showing the steps i took to get the issue, after the point of powering on while my new tape is already inerted up until the point where the error occurs.

DISCLAIMER: This theory will go over the entire story of Platinum End, so obvious spoilers ahead.Just a heads up, this theory is posted at the time that only a few episodes of the anime have been released. Depending on how much the anime stays like the manga, details may end up changing. Therefore, the entire theory will be based solely on the manga. I will also leave snippets of the manga with the highlighted text to support my claim. Please be sure to read those as it will help this theory make sense. If you’re like me, the ending completely caught me off guard and left my head-scratching. Do not worry! I’ve overanalyzed everything and made a theory to possibly explain who god and those beings at the end of the story are, so you don’t have to. Those beings at the end of the manga, chapter 58, are drum roll…humans of the future who have achieved many scientific advancements who existed well before the story of Platinum End takes place and are simulating their own world with fake humans, fake angels, and a fake god. Why are the real humans running this simulation? Simply put, they’re suicidal and no amount of therapy is going to help with that. Why are they wanting to die? In the future, it is predicted by Gaku Yoneda that within 500 years, humans will achieve immortality. Once they achieve immortality, they will eventually master time and space and will be able to do things like teleport, time travel, see the future, etc. And once humans achieve immortality and are able to know all of the future, they will discover that the future cannot be changed according to Dr. Yoneda. Just like Dr. Yoneda’s prediction, the real humans are wanting to die which is why it’s stated by one of the real humans how annoying it is that there is no death. Whatever the process was that made the real humans immortal, it seems that it cannot be reversed to restore one’s mortality. Although it’s not stated how humans will achieve immortality and allow them to control time and space, this will somehow cause humanity’s apocalypse as well, destroying the original Earth. What makes these creatures more human-like than god-like is that they admit they were born on another planet, most likely the original Earth. They are also aware that they too were created by something that is above them. How do we know Dr. Yoneda’s predictions are right? It was stated by Shuji Nakaumi that his past predictions came true. One thing to understand about science is that it’s extremely good at accurately predicting things. Example 1: With Issac Newton’s law of motion, scientists can predict the position of an object at any specific time, past, present, or future. Example 2: In the 1840s, Fitzner astronomer Urbain Le Verrier was analyzing the orbit pathway of Mercury and found that it is changing very slowly over time. With technology limited at that time, it was hard to provide proof. In 1915, the famous German physicist, Albert Einstein was able to calculate the influence of the curved space in Mercury’s orbit. That is 75 years later that science proved its prediction was right. Although science cannot tell future events like a psychic will attempt to, I believe this is what the author was using to help advance the plot for the ending. The real humans already know the future and they’re aware that no matter what they try, death is not a part of that. If they cannot do it, someone else can. That is when these simulations come in. The real humans will create simulated humans. In one of the simulations, the story of Platinum End takes place. This would not be on a computer. This process would involve terraforming an entire planet to support carbon-based life. The planet that the simulated humans live on will be similar to the original Earth as well as the history and advancement of science will be similar to the real humans. As the simulated human’s society progresses, like in Platinum End, they would eventually learn how to become immortal and learn how to control space-time which would lead to them wanting to die just like the real humans. But unlike the real humans, the simulated ones may actually achieve a way to kill themselves once they obtain immortality that the real humans could use. But as we already know stated by the real humans, this specific simulation was a failure. Nothing was created that was capable of killing them. Thus, the real humans will move on to a new simulation. Pay very special attention to this picture. Notice right after all of the humans disappear when the fake god kills himself, the buildings are slowly crumbling away since no one is here to maintain them. According to World Building, it would take an average of 250 years for a building to start to break apart since materials like wood and plastic would be destroyed by the environment if not maintained. Metal would be expanding and no longer able to keep the building's structure in place. This would cause things like windows to fall off and shatter. So after a few hundred years, the real humans return to the planet after the simulated humans disappeared due to the fake god’s suicide. It’s possible that during this time they’re running other simulations on other planets and returned when this simulation was completed. Since the real humans have achieved master over space-time, teleporting to anywhere in the universe would not be out of the question. Since they cannot die, the amount of time it would take for the real humans to travel anywhere in the universe is irrelevant as well. Even though Gaku Yoneda’s predictions about the simulated humanity’s end were wrong, he was technically right. It did come true for the real humans. If Shuji Nakaumi, as the fake god, did not kill himself and wipe out all of the fake humans, they would of most likely learned how to cheat death and to control space-time in the future. Gaku was wrong about the fake god being a product of human belief in order to live. He even admits that the composition of the fake god was wrong. If the fake god required human belief to live, then Shuji would not have erased the memories of those who were not god candidates as it would have affected the fake god's existence if fewer people believed in him. There is one thing that begs the question. Why is a fake god needed to run these simulations? Why do the simulated humans have souls? Why not just create the simulated humans and leave them to figure out how to create an immortal killing machine without the process of a false god? This is because God and souls are actually real and are necessary for life to exist. To clarify, the “God” that Shuji Nakaumi was transmuted into is not the true God that I’m referring to. I’m referring to the first cause of everything, a self-aware creator, a deistic God who existed before time and space who created the universe and does not intervene in its creation. This means no miracles, prophecy, answering prayers, divine revelation, etc. Everything in the universe is governed by physics and these laws cannot be broken. The real humans who are running the simulations are aware that they are a creation made from a creator. However, since a deistic God does not interfere in the universe, the real humans cannot know of him, at least while they are still alive. Considering the real humans can control space-time, I can say for certain at one point, at least one person went to the very beginning of time and saw something that would be evidence of an intelligent designer creating the universe. When the real humans are conversing with each other at the finale, one human suggests identifying what created them and the second one replies that seeking their creator will be a waste of time. If a deistic God won’t intervene in its creation, the real humans would be wasting time by attempting to contact him. Even though they can control space-time, if the creator exists outside of reality, they would not be able to reach this entity. Focusing on figuring out who created them means that time is wasted if they're not figuring out how to die which is why it would take them further away from death. Just as the simulated humans have souls, the real humans also have souls. At some point, the real humans discovered the soul. They are aware that this is needed for life to be sentient. The discovery of the soul could have played a key part in the real humans achieving immortality. The fake god is engineered by the real humans to create souls so that life can be sentient, mimic the universe's deistic God by allowing the simulation to run with no interference, and act as a mod to keep an eye on life with the red and white arrows. The celestial realm was created so the fake god would not be a part of the simulated world. Even though time moves differently in the celestial realm, it is the closest thing that the real humans can engineer to simulate a deist God that is separated from its creation. This fake god does not have the powers of a supreme being. The fake god does not know everything, is not everywhere at once, and does not display any sort of omnipotent ability. There is a lot of things that the fake god admits to not knowing, such as who created him, why are souls preserved, and how long does the merging process take. Although we do see the fake god have the ability to observe humanity, I would say that this is the equivalent of having admin privileges to watch humanity live-streamed on YouTube. The fake god is aware that he is created by someone. The fake god noticed that there are things that had already been created that he was not a part of just by observing everything in the universe. Although he seems to not understand what created him. He even acknowledges the idea that humanity could have created him. All the simulated souls come from the fake god. This is done through a process of emanation, which means to flow from. In the Abrahamic religions, specifically Gnosticism, Jewish Mysticism, and certain sectors of Protestantism, instead of your typical creator being separate from its creation, everything is a spontaneous outflow from God. As pieces of God emanate from him, it becomes less divine, but these pieces will eventually become an individual soul that forms into human spirits, angels, demons, as well as other things that come into reality such as heaven, hell, and the world of the living. Eventually, everything that came from God, will return back to the creator. (If you’re still confused on what emanation is, I would do more research before continuing to read as this will play a key role in understanding who the fake god is.) Emanation is how the fake god created the simulated human and their soul, the fake angels, and the celestial realm. The fake god took a piece of himself and used it to create life. Since everything emanates from the fake god is connected to him, as he is dying, most of the angels are dying too. Due to this connection, when the fake god killed himself, everything that was tied to the fake god disappeared. But because the creation of the fake god is not connected to the physical world, the planet and everything that is not life remained on it. When the simulated human beings die, the soul goes to the celestial realm. This is the returning aspect of emanation. The souls that came from the fake god are returning back to him. You always see all angels, regardless of rank, having the task of carrying the souls to the celestial realm. It seems that the main purpose of the angels is to help with the return part of the emanation process. The more that the emanence is divided, the less divine it becomes. This is why the fake humans are considered sub-celestial in the hierarchy.It appears that there is a certain order to the flow of emanation. The newest creations emanate from the fake god. Kids will be the first in the line for the emanate process and their parents will be behind them. This is why when the fake god committed suicide, the kids were the first ones to disappear, then the adults. All things that emanate from the fake god are returning to the original source in reverse order when the fake god takes his own life. When the fake god merges with a human, this appears to go against the set pattern of the emanation process by breaking the order in which the emanence flows. This is why when Shuji merged with the fake god, it felt like there was something foreign in the fake god's body similar to how an infected person's body acts when the immune system detects foreign bacteria or a virus. The only way to get around it is by the fake god merging with a simulated human and having the fake god take over the new body when the fusion is completed. It is stated by the fake god that it is nothing more than humanity's assumption that God cannot die. This may be true for the deistic God, but not for a fake god. It is already known that the real humans achieved immortality. Although the fake god could have been engineered to be immortal, that would just create another being who would eventually want to die. The fake god was designed to live a long life, compared to humans, that could be extended through the process of merging with one of its emanated counterparts until the simulation was completed. This has been done throughout time in the form of the god choosing process. The fake god confirmed to Shuji that his purpose was to create life. Professor Yoneda confirmed that the fake god was created by human imagination and that its purpose was to end life. On the surface, this may seem like a contradiction. But both of them are right. The fake god’s purpose was to create the simulated humans. God is metaphorically a creation of human imagination. It was not by the simulated human’s imagination as stated by Yoneda, but it was designed and engineered by the minds of the real humans. Since the purpose of the simulation is for the fake humans to achieve immortality and figure out how to reverse it, you can say that the fake god is a part of that process of killing humanity. Right as all of the humans are disappearing, Dr. Yoneda realizes that the composition that makes up the creature is based on a science that the simulated humans have not discovered yet. The composition of the fake god is Aether. In medieval times, a common study among scholars is alchemy, which can be best described as the forerunner for modern-day chemistry mixed with the pseudoscience of metaphysics. According to Charles Gillispie, a historian at Princeton University, in his book, The Edge of Objectivity, An Essay in the History of Scientific Ideas, Aether is the fifth element, along with earth, wind, fire, and water, that are the basic building blocks of the universe. During medieval times, Aether is the substance that is believed to connect the physical world to the spiritual one. It was even a common belief that the Abrahamic God was surrounded by Aether and that all of the angels, demons, and souls that dwelled in the afterlife breathed it in as humans breathed in the air. According to Jakob Bernoulli, a mathematician from the 1600s, believed that Aether is what allowed souls to interact with their human bodies. All of these characteristics of Aether match the composition of the fake god. Aether is what allows life to become sentient, connecting all of the simulated humans back to the fake god from the physical world to the celestial realm. It seems at some point, the real humans discover this element. This discovery most likely led to the discovery of the soul. Using this element, the real humans used Aether to construct the fake god needed for the simulations. Everything that is a part of the simulation, the fake god, angels, the soul, the arrows, is made up of this element. The red arrow is what allows the god candidates to make other humans fall in love with them so much that the person who is under the influence of the arrow will do literally anything the person who is in control wants, even die for them. The white arrow has the ability to kill any life while all inanimate objects are unaffected. These were limits placed on the arrows by the fake god. According to Ogaro, the fake god can use the full power of the arrows at will. The red arrow is more than just making someone fall in love. The arrow does this by taking away their free will. The god candidates were limited to using the arrow on 14 people at once for a period of up to 33 days. With the fake god able to use the full power of the red arrow, he can enslave any or all simulated humans with a snap of his finger for as long as he desired. The red arrow also played a role in creating the first simulated life as well. The fake god stated that if life was left alone, it would multiply. The desire of falling in love and wanting to procreate was implanted by the red arrow when life was created. The white arrow is the opposite of the red arrow. This arrow can kill life instantly. The limit that was placed on this arrow is that only one white arrow can be shot at a time. Just like the red arrow, this arrow has a maximum range of 31.6 meters. When cycling the white arrow, there is a cool down period of 0.3 seconds. If these limiters are removed, the fake god can kill all humans with the white arrows with virtually no limit on distance, any number of arrows can be used simultaneously, and there would be no mandatory cool down period. The creation of the simulated humans involves two key ingredients. The first is the soul which comes from the fake god. The second is a physical body for the soul to be attached to. The real humans asked if it was worth planting another seed and another god as those are two separate things. The making of another god is obviously the fake god. But what is the seed? The seed is what makes the physical embodiment of all plants and animals that all emanence is attached to. I.E., souls attached to bodies. According to the fake god, before he created life on the fake Earth, there was some sort of micro-organism. This seed would be that micro-organism, specifically carbon-based bacteria that is capable of evolution. Around 3 billion years ago, the first life on Earth was bacteria. There are two types of bacteria, a classification of anaerobic bacteria that ate other organic compounds and simple sugars to survive. The other kind is autotrophs bacteria which is capable of self-feeding. Anaerobic bacteria would evolve into modern-day animals. Autotroph bacteria would evolve into modern-day plants that still have the ability to self-feed through a process of photosynthesis. It is possible to send bacteria through space. According to a 2020 study published in the Journal of Frontiers in Microbiology, bacteria were able to survive in space for three years. If the real humans were able to transport the seed through space in less than 3 years, it could easily survive. Considering they achieved immortality, it is within reason to think this would be a piece of cake for them. At some point, part of the anaerobic bacteria would come in contact with the fake god, who was on the fake Earth at that time to make life, recognized the fake god as food, and attempted to feed off of him to survive. The bacteria that fed off the fake god would eventually evolve into Nasse. The bacteria that did not feed off of the fake god would evolve into more complex forms of life on the fake Earth. Since Nasse was accidentally created from this event, it most likely means that she is the first angel that the fake god created. This means that she could serve as inspiration for the fake god to create angels for the celestial realm. The angels don't seem to share any ability to reproduce with each other. There is never any mention of any family heritage. It means that all of the angels were created around the same time. Since Nasse is the only angel that came from the seed/bacteria, her biological makeup differs from all the other angels. While the majority of her is angel, part of the genetic makeup is similar to carbon-based life. Although I would not say Nasse is an angel-human hybrid, she could be considered a type of Nephilim. Due to this biological difference, Nasse is the only angel that can interfere in both the physical world and the celestial realm. Much research has shown that facial expressions are innate among all animals, not just humans. The same animals that display facial expressions when expressing emotions, lying, determination, etc. use similar muscles in the face as humans do. For example, a Psychologist, Paul Ekman, studied facial expression from hours of film and ventured on to multiple isolated tribes who have very little contact with modern society. He showed them pictures of facial expressions and asked them to interpret them. These people were able to match facial expressions and their meaning with high accuracy. This is one of the many studies that show facial expressions are genetic. Even though Nasse is single-minded, she is able to understand facial expressions due to her biological relationship with the simulated life on the fake Earth. But hey, this is just a theory."

The Injustice Initiative and Megaverse Council did not grieve with their former leader for too long, due to the combined forces of Venessa and Velocity making swift progress in uniting dozens of Omniverses under their heroic banner. Velocity used her direct and demanding demeanor to influence the defenders of each Omniverse to join the Council and was brutally honest in her meetings with the current situation. She stressed that if they refuse to join then they will face extinction and the Council will not help them when they are attacked due to them only having priorities for attacking the demons head on. Venessa on the other hand focused her attention in strengthening the Injustice Initiative with rigorous training and firing incompetent people in leadership positions and swiftly replacing them with those that were far more competent and understood the severity of the situation. In the span of 16 days, the combined efforts of these two feminine leaders made great leaps in progress that equaled or surpassed Diamond's own work in the past three months.
While these two were on a mission together, The Researcher contacted them regarding a very important matter. When the two heroines arrived at the Council's headquarters The Researcher revealed to them two enormous discoveries. "We finally found them. The place where our foes call home, Omniverse 6,666,666. We do not know much of this Omniverse other than the Diamond from Omniverse 8 being aware of its potential and became paranoid of its existence leading him nearly wiping all traces of it from the Council's database. I happen to uncover the last fragments of his report that failed to be deleted. Furthermore, the Core of that Omniverse is deeply fractured, completely drained of all power. We can deduce with sound reasoning that the landscape of that Omniverse is something out of an apocalypse with everything that could have gone wrong, definitely went wrong. In addition, it is a very wide and vast Omniverse similar to the Main Omniverse. In fact, before its current miserable state, it was a near copy of the Main Omniverse. We are trying to scout and analyze the area as best as we can, but it is blocking all of our scanners. Our supernatural sensors can barely last four seconds before frying when they sense the amount of dark negative energy that shrouds that Omniverse." Velocity, "And the other news?" "We also found a very promising Omniverse that was elusive to our map, but just appeared and is surging with radiant energy from the Light." Venessa abruptly, "Light? Like The Light......... not just colorful lights?" "Correct. Would you care to guess what this Omniverse's number is?" "I would assume it would be the polar opposite of the other, so Omniverse 7,777,777?" "Bingo. Apparently, they have a hierarchy over there and their King requests your presence. His words not mine were King Alexander humbly requests the presence of Empress Venessa of the Main Omniverse and any companions she wishes to bring for a formal meeting in regards to the future protection of the Megaverse."
"Alright, message King Alexander and tell him I will adhere to his request. She accessed her communication com and ordered Tray and Cross to join her on the mission. She then turned to Velocity. I would have you join me on this mission, but I do not want to delay the progress you are making in convincing more Omniverses to join our cause." A short time passed as the three members arrived for their briefing with Venessa. After their meeting, they used their watches and traveled to Omniverse 7,777,777. Their eyes were blinded by the bright rays of the sun, before they could tell where they were at. At last, their eyes adjusted to their environment, which resulted in them being astonished at the shining city that was before them. They observed trains similar to bullet trains zipping back and forth through wind tubes and the residents there in very intricate clothing. The residents either had high collar jackets, dazzling shirts, and most importantly, Venessa could sense all of them having unusual levels of the Light inside of them. A loud voice could be heard behind them. "Are these the people who the King wishes to speak with?" The group turns around and sees two men standing a few feet behind them. One appears six foot and a few inches, he did not wear a shirt but was surrounded with gold and red armor, a long red cape, black pants, and long flowing blonde hair. The other was a little shorter around five feet and possibly 11 inches with black and purple hair, a black and purple cape, purple pants, and purple armor in the exact areas as the first man. The second one responded to his companion in a soft-spoken manner,"Yes, these are the three we were assigned to escort back to the castle." Venessa, "Hey, are you two like siblings or something? You two kind of look alike." The purple one, "That assumption is correct. I am Lucrest and this is my older obnoxious brother Leoped." Leoped, "We are two in a handful of select individuals, who serve the King by carrying out special assignments and investigations." Lucrest, "If you will please follow us, the King is eager to greet you."
The three heroes followed the two guards to the castle, during their walk Venessa teased her sibling, Tray. "It appears those two brothers have larger swords than you. I think they are far superior swordsmen if they can handle large blades like that. It fails to even compare your toothpick of a sword." "Shush! I don't want to hear it. I choose elegance and gracefulness over something flashy." The group finally reached the castle as several guards in colorful shining full body armor saluted the group as they stepped inside the large white crystal doors of the castle. Leoped and Lucrest led the trio right towards the throne room; no sooner than when the doors opened, King Alexander leaped from his throne and welcomed his guests. The King's outfit was composed of expensive black cloth with silver and blue crystals creating his unique armor with gold outlining around the edges and his crown. His hair was white as snow with a cape flowing from his waist with two metallic angelic wings attached to his back. He appeared as someone who was no older than their early 20's, much less muscular than Leoped, while possessing a staggering height of 6,7. "Greetings Empress Venessa, first adopted child of Diamond! A pleasure to finally meet you. Greetings to you Tray, second adopted child of Diamond! And a very warm welcome to Cross, the last member and headmaster of the Royal Guard!" Cross' attitude changed from being standoffish to one of utter shock. No one has addressed him as headmaster since the days of the Clone War. Tray whispered to Venessa, "Headmaster of the Royal Guard? I never knew that about Cross." "Yes, many years in Cross' realm he was headmaster of the Royal Guard, an elite group of warriors who protected his realm from malevolent threats under the orders of a man named the Keeper. This was brought to an end when.........Alastor manipulated him to massacre all of his fellow friends and the Keeper towards the end of the Clone War, mere days before order Kingdom Come was initiated."
King Alexander, "Empress Venessa please accept these gifts as a sign of good will. He signaled for four servants to step forward with bundles of technology and scrolls. The Alphaverse is more than ready to work closely alongside the Megaverse Council to defeat the fallen angels and corrupted souls of the Demonic Council! Please follow me to our war chambers." King Alexander led the heroes down several steps to a room that was protected by several guards. They were granted access and upon entering, the heroes were stunned to see holographic displays of plans and projects that were scattered as two male figures were debating with a female. The figures turned to the doors and quickly turned off the scattered plans and pulled up a file that said, "Propositions and explanation for the Megaverse Council." One unique hologram Venessa saw before it disappeared was a hologram of the Matrix of Eternity with a subject line under it labeled "Restore the Matrix to its former power?" As Venessa was deep in thought, King Alexander spoke to his guests who the other three figures were, "The lanky one with grey hair and a gas mask is our lead chemist, Lorenzo. The other one with him with the crimson operator hat, black and red hair, and basically black and red from his natural wings to his armor adored with many medals is our head of homeland security, Viciate. Last but not least is our lead scientist of technology, and weapons, whose brilliance I cannot put into words, Malissia." Malissia had medium length jet black hair that only left her left eye visible, yet it appeared she had unique facial marks that were long black lines leading up to her eyelids. She wore a long black coat that went just above her ankles with boots in the shape of heels. Nearly everything she wore was black except her shirt which was white with print that resembles computer chips. Malissia, "I prefer to go by M." Tray in a playful manner, "A little gothic in your appearance compared to everyone we've seen today!" "Simply a matter of taste and perception." Tray then noticed Malissia had white irises as the rest of her eyes were black, which created a sense of mystery behind them.
Lorenzo, "The disgraced Royal Guard is here......." King Alexander disappointingly, "Lorenzo......we talked about this." Venessa, "Hey what was that project regarding the Matrix of Eternity about? How would any of you be able to reload it?" King Alexander, "We have the source that originally fueled the Matrix. We were the ones who originally created it." Cross and Tray were shocked to hear such a revelation. Was the king bluffing or legitimately telling the truth? Malissia, "The reason you saw so many other projects scattered was due to these two knuckleheads trying to push these loose ideas my way, knowing full well we had a meeting today." Viciate, "Then Lorenzo and I should be going." Viciate and Lorenzo leave the room as King Alexander and Malissia start speaking with Venessa, Tray, and Cross. Lorenzo and Viciate journeyed far from the castle's boundaries and into the outskirts of the gorgeous city into a dark alleyway where a female was waiting for them. "Have you two finally reached a decision?" Lorenzo, "Yes, we have, Paradox." Paradox in a feminine form smiled while twirling their hair, with a snap of their fingers a contract appeared before Lorenzo and Viciate. "Both of you sign there. Viciate tried to sign with a pen, but Paradox stopped him. Nuh uh uh, in blood!" Viciate pulled a dagger and cut a piece of flesh off him and Lorenzo as they signed the contract that bonded them to Black Hat. See that wasn't so hard. Now I sense you have something to tell me?" Viciate, "The Empress, playboy, and ex-harbinger of darkness are here. They learned of the plans to restore the Matrix of Eternity." A sadistic smile appeared on Paradox's face, "Wonderful! Wonderful! Things could not be better! With your help we can kill those three now and you two will rule this Omniverse as the new kings only in service to Black Hat and the Council. Let them retrieve the remains of the Matrix, and we can either strike before or after they restore the Matrix, then steal it and place it within the treasury with the other dangerous objects that could pose a threat to our reign. Run along now and continue to play your parts like good little errand boys." Paradox gave them a wink. Lorenzo, "Freak! When it comes to your services, we work with you, not for you!" The two then leave as Paradox continues to smile in the shadows.
Back in the war chamber. Venessa, "Impressive. All that you are proposing will greatly benefit us. I can see your offers are sincere, but I must ask, why it took you this long to reveal yourselves?" King Alexander, "That is........simply because of an old law......that had been in effect for thousands of years. I wanted to honor my father and his father, but eventually my consciousness allowed me to overturn that old silly law." Loud footsteps could be running through the halls as a young teenage girl open the doors to the room with pieces of paper in her arms. She began to speak clearly out of breath, "I'm here sister. The documents you wanted." Mallisa, "A few minutes late like usual, Joan." "It's not my fault, military class went on longer than normal! Gosh, how many times do I have to tell you I hate it that mom and dad forced me to become a soldier!" "Everyone, this is my younger sister, Joan. Joan this is Empress Venessa and her two colleagues, Tray and Cross." Everyone exchanged friendly greetings except for Tray who stared at Joan. There was something about Joan that captivated him, it was either the childish way she speaks or the fact she had navy hair like he did. Instead of a handshake, he wrapped both his hands around hers and knelt down, "My fair lady, it is with great honor to meet you. I pray that you will accept my greeting as one of humbleness and may good health and prosperity follow you all the days of your life, my dearest madam." Everyone in the room stared dumbfounded at Tray's speech. Cross, "Where the crap did that come from Shakespeare?" Joan stood there blushing as she stuttered while addressing Tray, "Th....thank y...yo.....you." King Alexander, "Well this meeting is nearing its end, so why don't Tray and Joan spend some time with each other while the rest of us handle the closing logistics?" Mallisa, "WHAT THE?" "Alright it's settled then. Tray and Joan, you two are dismissed."
Joan and Tray stared at each other before she offered Tray some lunch, which he readily agreed to. Alexander turned back to Venessa, "Venessa, if you don't mind, I will like you and your party to stay here the next four days. The first two can be used to handle business regarding our technology and battle tactics as I introduce you to our greatest soldiers, warriors, and fighters. The last two days can be a sort of mini vacation." "Well..........I don't think such an offer will hurt. You have yourself a deal King Alexander!" At lunch Tray and Joan were deep in conversation. Tray, "You look much different than your sister. Your eyes are normal, you are much more cheerful, and just overall livelier." "My sister takes all the stress and responsibilities of the family upon her. That and her role in the kingdom just adds more stress to her. As for her eyes and facial markings, those came when she felt called to the Spring of Restoration." "What now?" "The Spring of Restoration grants those worthy unique properties or powers. Only a select few experience a change from the spring. It is not heavily protected because the spring prevents anyone unworthy from stepping foot in its waters." "Radical." "Mhm!" "So, I heard you fighting with your sister about you hating being trained as a soldier. Why is that?" "It freaking sucks! My parents do not want me to be an astronomer or engineer! They want me to become a Celestial Crusader. On top of that, I don't even get to choose what I want to do or what I want to eat a majority of the time! Eating lunch with you right now is a rare occurrence." "Have you brought your problems to the king?" "Yes, but I don't know if he is hearing my pleas or not. If he's not, I don't blame him, he has a lot on his mind and considering my parents are very influential in terms of politics, if the king makes a brash move, my parents will give him political turmoil." Tray abruptly received a message from Venessa stating their four day stay. He was excited and already made up his mind that he will spend these four days showing Joan the freedom she is missing out on.
The next two days, King Alexander did everything he said he would to Venessa and Cross. Among the strongest warriors and fighters were Ezekiel with his four angelic wings and star saber, Phonix with his ability to control time and fire, Ian with the ability to create things out of metal at will and his large sword in the shape of a key, Vivi with her ability of harnessing animal souls and acquiring their powers and abilities to her disposal, and with several other notable fighters. Yet, the group was slowly stalked by Lorenzo who reported all of their movements to Paradox. The next two days arrived where Venessa and Cross briefly parted ways in order to find some way to relax before returning to base. On the fourth day, Venessa contacted her adoptive mother, Selena, for a special request. She wanted Selena to travel to the Alphaverse with the Matrix of Eternity in order to restore it with wisdom capable of changing the tide of the war. As for Joan and Tray, the two traveled all across the kingdom from going to the beach, kayaking, visiting the aquarium, and art museum. Tray taught Joan how to properly duel and was deeply proud when she complimented him on his elegant sword. Unknown to them Viciate was also reporting their activities to Paradox. On one of their stops, Joan brought Tray to the Spring of Restoration just for them to sight see. Yet, she was startled when Tray stopped responding to her. His eyes were affixed at the spring as he slowly started to step towards it. Joan tried to stop him, but her petite body could not stop him.
Suddenly, he stopped on the edge of the spring and bent down scooping up the water as he started to drink it from his hands. Joan was confused at Tray's behavior, "Are you......alright?" Before Tray could turn around, he collapsed on the ground. "TRAY!" She ran to him, but when she arrived, his eyes opened wildly as his body started to glow with an unearthly light. Tray's body started to transform with his pupils becoming white similar to Mallisa but instead of the other part of his eye becoming black, it became a bright cyan color. His navy hair became white with a few streaks of cyan along with his olive skin changing to being white as quartz. His outfit even started to change around him with his clothes glowing with a clear like cyan substance with a hood gently resting on his hair. Gold embroidered his collar as a unique glowing cyan halo appearing over his head. "Joan.....please tell me I'm not dead." "I uhhhh you mmmmmmm I guess not? Here let me show you what you look like." Joan opened her camera and took a photo of him in order for Tray to see the photo. "Oh my gosh I became even more handsome." "Seriously, that's what you think about after looking like you just died on me!" "Hey, I'm sorry for zoning out on you like that. I just heard a soothing voice calling me from the Spring and I could not help but follow it." "The voice was more than soothing than mine?!" "Well yes...CRAP NO NOT LIKE THAT I SWEAR!" Joan started punching Tray as he let out a hearty laugh. From the shadows Viciate contacted Paradox on what happened and for Paradox to arrive swiftly to exterminate the couple.
The two continued on their walk after having their emotions die down. Yet, there was a sort of tension in the air between the two as one waited for the other to speak first. At last, Tray was the one to break the tension as he stopped Joan and decided to finally reveal to her the thoughts that had been plaguing his mind the past few days. "Joan, I don't know how to say this but, whenever I am around you, I just feel warm inside and what I could only describe as butterflies, erupt in my stomach." Joan blushed deeply before responding, "Oh Tray!" "Joan, if you do not want to enlist in the Celestial Crusaders, you don't have to. I'm offering you a choice. I see how much you care for your older sister and your eagerness for freedom. I encourage you to follow your heart and join me. I promise with every fiber in my being that my family and I will protect you and support you with whatever decision you make." Joan with tears in her eyes. "Oh Tray! Thank you! I want to briefly stay here so I can help my sister with any last assignments and join you on exploring the Megaverse and you taking me back to the Omniverse you call home! Thank you, thank you for being such a wonderful person to me these past four days. Truthfully, I can say I feel the same when I am around you. Your outgoing free-spirited nature is very cute and contagious." Tray extends his hand towards Joan, "Then what are we waiting for? Take my hand and I will show you all the wonderful places in my Omniverse! Obviously after you are done helping your sister of course." He gave her a big comforting smile as he waited for her to wipe the tears of gratitude off her face. However, just before she could place her hand in his, a gunshot went off as a singular bullet went through the right side of Joan's head and exited out of the left. Tray opened his eyes and was horrified at the pool of blood emerging from Joan's body as she lay lifeless on the ground. He was shaken as he heard a sickening laugh. He hastily turned his head to the direction of the laughter.
Tray's eyes widened in confusion as he saw Gadget Bandito emerge from the shadows. "What.....what are you doing here? How did you get here? Why have you done this after being a loyal member of the Initiative for many years?!" "Doesn't matter. Any last words kid?" Tray thought inwardly, "Wait......no......there is no way he is the real Gadget Bandito. The real one does not even know a lot of the Megaverse, much less keep up with any news from the Initiative." He finally spoke out loud. "My powers and senses are telling me you are Gadget Bandito. But my heart, mind, and soul tell me otherwise! WHO ARE YOU?" Paradox finally revealed himself to Tray as he morphed into his mechanical appearance. Tray finally spoke after being at a loss for words, "I know you. I know who you are. No, you are not even a person anymore. You have turned yourself into something unrecognizable. I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE! YOU ARE THE CREATURE WHO MURDERED MY FATHER'S PARENTS ON THE NIGHT OF HOLY THURSDAY!" Paradox had a twisted malicious grin on his mechanical face as he spoke, "Aren't you a smart one." Tray began to channel his new powers granted to him from the Spring of Restoration. "I WILL NOT ONLY AVENGE THE DEATH OF DIAMOND'S PARENTS! BUT FOR JOAN WHO YOU SHOT IN COLD BLOOD! DIE YOU BODY MORPHING BASTARD!"
Filled with pure rage, Tray could not control his powers as Paradox merely toyed with him before using Tray's disorientation to his advantage. Paradox was able to overpower the young hero, but briefly underestimated his new power buff when Tray's halo pierced itself into Paradox's chest. This comeback was shortly lived due to the intervention of Viciate who incapacitated Tray and tied him up. Elsewhere, Venessa felt a disturbance in her gut and thus gathered Cross and met with King Alexander to ask where Tray and Joan were at. The King did not know of their location much to the dismay of Venessa, but suddenly in the throne room a thick green mist entered the room which knocked the guards and the heroes unconscious. Lorenzo did his best to pick up the bodies of the heroes and tie them up, "Now we just wait for the Queen of Asteria to arrive and snatch the Matrix from her by ransoming these hostages."
Meanwhile Selena took care of Diamond and would not allow him out of her sight. If he had to leave her house, she would go with him wherever he went, due to the public opinion on him fiercely divided. There were some who believed the attacks were caused by him while others knew that he would never do such a thing and it had to be an imposter. She would fiercely criticize any bystander who booed or tried to assault Diamond. Diamond on the other hand did not like how Selena was being overprotective of him, and her reasoning was that his mental state was not in a good place. Truthfully, it felt like he was on house arrest. One day the two of them took a nap on Selena's couch, when Selena was notified to embark on the mission to Omniverse 7,777,777. She did not have Diamond know what mission it was, but said it was important. "Don't do anything stupid or silly while I'm gone. And do not go on any adventures either! If I find out you left the town, you won't hear the end of it!" "Alright sheesh I got it."
Selena traveled to Sanctuary and entered one of the passwords a few of the elite members possessed in order to gain access to the broken remains of the Matrix of Eternity. She grabbed the pieces and created a portal to the Alphaverse. Once Selena teleported off to her mission, Diamond took advantage of this opportunity and decided to venture into town. He grabbed his Bluetooth earbuds and walked outside to his favorite coffee shop. While walking, he played Have You Ever Seen The Rain, by Creedence Clearwater Revival, one of his father's favorite bands. He could not resist but sing along with the lyrics, "When it's over so they say it'll rain a sunny day, I know, shining down like water. I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain? I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain? Coming down on a sunny day." During his stroll a handful of protestors spotted him and began to yell, "Murderer! Thief! Crook! Liar!" One such protestor threw a pot of hot water at him, which nearly resulted in Diamond retaliated, but he bore these wrongs patiently and continued on his way. He turned a corner into an alleyway and started to dance and jump in the puddles. On the other side were a set of stairs where he slowly danced his way down each step to the closing parts of the song still singing with raw emotion. He turned off his music when he entered the doors of the small shop and waited patiently in line. After he finished placing his order and pulled out his wallet to pay, the cashier whispered to him, "It's on the house. You are still a hero to us who work here." "Are you sure ma'am?" "Yes. It'll be out shortly." He took a seat near a window and started reading the local newspaper in silence. Just then a little boy who was with his parents came to his side and started to speak with him. "Excuse me sir, but are you, Diamond?" Diamond chuckled to himself, "Well there is no use in hiding my identity. Yes, I am." "Can you tell me what it was like during the year I was born?" "Uh, odd request but yeah I can tell you, first I have to ask how old are you?" "I just turned four!" "Well happy birthday! Let's see four years ago was 2016.....wait no it was 2020. Gosh was 2020 four years ago? Man, all these adventures all start flowing together kid. So, around this time an old enemy of mine named......" Diamond abruptly stopped speaking as he felt a disturbance. "Named who, sir?" Diamond stood up and slowly walked to the doors as a giant explosion went off in the center of town. Everyone started screaming, running in all directions from the blast, as Diamond signaled his AI using his nanotech vision glasses. "HONEY what are we looking at? HONEY? Crap I never turned you back on." Diamond hastily had his nanotech grow on his left arm as he turned on the setting to activate HONEY. "I'm back! Are you ok boss, did you do anything brash when I was gone?" "We can catch up later HONEY, right now I need you to prevent traffic from entering this street and alert the local authorities." "Yes sir!"
While all of this was happening on Earth, Selena's portal finally brought her to the Alphaverse. She begins to mutter to herself, "Alright Venessa I'm here. Hopefully we can get this done quickly, because I don't trust Diamond being by himself." Selena was cautious of her surroundings, due to being greeted with an eerie vacant throne room. She suddenly heard a quiet "help me," this prompted her to locate the source of the voice which resulted in her finding Lorenzo lying next to a pillar. "Please help me." "Who did this to you, where are they now, and have you seen a young girl with pink and blue hair go by?" Selena used her powers to silently read the injured person's mind, but before her powers could alert her of it being a trap, she heard another voice which caused her pupils to shrink with fear. "Hello my precious doll." Selena turned to face the new voice and to her horror, she saw Paradox standing behind her, appearing the same way he looked the day before he died. The trauma from the mistreatment and terror she received from him overridden her senses and caused her to stand completely motionless. Behind her Lorenzo leaped and took off his mask expelling a strong toxin into her lungs causing her to faint and drop the pieces of the Matrix. Lorenzo, "Why did you change the plan to capture her instead of bargaining with her?" Paradox, "Because I want the last thing, they see is me holding the reloaded Matrix and handing it over to my masters." Paradox then switched back to his mechanical body and wrapped Selena in thick pairs of chains. He then took her body along with the rest of the heroes to the depths of the castle.
Simultaneously on Earth, Diamond slowly made his way to the source of the blast as he yelled at the pedestrians to head southbound. When he reached the center of the blast three figures emerged. A hulking lizard creature, a humanoid squid, and a tall figure wrapped in black cloth with piercing red goggles. "HEY! THIS TOWN IS CLOSED TO THUGS LIKE YOU TODAY!" The man in black cloth responded back, "We were wishing for a fight with Selena, but facing you is even better!" "I suggest you stand down before I rip a tentacle from your friend Squidward!" "Grok shut his mouth." The hulking creature lifted his axe from his back and started charging at Diamond. Diamond tapped his chest as his nanotech started to form around him as he created several large blasters from his back and fired at Grok. The blasts sent Grok flying backwards to his two other companions, but the man in black simply waved his hand to the right which sent Grok crashing into a local store. Diamond flew towards the humanoid squid and started punching him with unrelenting force that caused the squid to vomit quantities of ink. The man in black teleported behind Diamond and used his mystic powers to gain the upper hand by distorting the reality around them. The squid shaped his head into a spear and tried to pierce Diamond with his poison, but Diamond dodged it and sent him hurdling towards the man in black, breaking the reality illusion. He then had his suit create a sticky net which he shot to capture both the man in black and squid. Grok finally managed to get back up, but upon seeing his comrades captured, he clicked a button on his belt that resulted in him exploding creating a blast deadlier than the first. Diamond noticed there were a few people that were in the blast radius of this second explosion and flew towards them using his strength to hold the falling debris from the tall business building. The debris piled the streets with dust and papers, until the sound of sirens broke the silence. Law enforcement arrested the two other villains while Diamond was barely holding large portions of fallen walls, glass, and stone from crushing him and the civilians under him. The leading officer noticed Diamond struggling in the debris, but decided not to help him, he thought to himself, "Let's see if he can truly save others and be the hero the weak minded believe him to be." The crushing weight began to take a toll on Diamond as he slowly began to lose his footing until he was on his knees holding the debris up.
"I promise.....I will get all of you out alive!" Negative thoughts began to enter his mind as various voices began to call out. "You are not good enough. You couldn't save your own parents; how can you save these unfortunate souls? You are playing a fool's game. See how the law enforcement refuses to acknowledge your existence. Face it your story is over. Finished. You are nothing but a weak boy who thought he could have been a great hero." Diamond tried to block out these voices, but they began to take a toll on him, nearly causing him to give up, but then a quiet voice entered his mind. A voice smooth like honey but strong as thunder echoed in his mind. "You are something more. Look inside yourself, you are something far more than when you started all those years ago as a small-town hero. Do not listen to their empty words, listen to me. Do you renounce sin?" "I do." "Do you renounce the Devil, the sin whisperer, and all his empty promises?" "I do!" "Do you believe in the Faith of your fathers, the Resurrection, and life everlasting?" "I do!" "Arise my child." At that very moment Diamond felt the power of the Light course through him at greater quantities than before as his body began to glow with gold and white light. With a newfound access to the Light, Diamond felt it was only natural to change the wording when harnessing its power, "Through the power of Heaven's Light.......All things are possible!" Diamond effortlessly lifted the debris away from him as the civilians under his care ran to the rest of the crowd. The onlookers stared at Diamond's glowing gold and white body. They were baffled in amazement as a few murmured amongst themselves, "Truly this is the act of a selfless hero."
Diamond did not hear the crowd's cheers, whistles, and praises as he stood deep in contemplation. Deep within his soul, he was able to sense his family was in grave danger. With his connection to the Light restored, he made it his new mission to travel to the Omniverse where he sensed the disturbance. He quietly spoke to himself, "Oh yeah I'm ready to whip the person who is so bent on ruining my life! But first, I have to do it in style. He allowed his suit to create two large speakers; HONEY make sure the volume is on max. Time for us to go back into the Megaverse!"

I'm Looking for help to confirm an oral tradition in the family. Supposedly, my great-grandfather married a Furiosi, and on my mom's kit, she does match 3 Furiosi's on Ancestry. I'm assuming they're grandfather, father and son. I can't seem to attach images, so here's what the 3 matches say on Ancestry:

Portale Antenali says the mother of Santina Maria Cordelli is Rosina Lucarelli, instead of Furiosi as our family's oral tradition says (the other part of this was that Santina's mother's family was "half light-skinned Italians and half dark-skinned Italians", which leads me to believe they were from Southern Italy).
The rest of the family were from in and around Cantiano, Italy. I've found very few surnames like Cordelli, Romitelli, Blasi (on my grandfather's paternal line), but I also know Cantiano and the surrounding areas aren't very large. My great-grandmother (Santina) was from Chiaserna.
Also, these are Rosa Lucarelli's records. Save for my great-grandmother's middle name being Elvira (This was a surprise- we just knew her name as "Santina Maria Cordelli"). I'm not confident that I'm finding the correct ancestors, since it seems odd that there's only a few hundred Cordelli's, or Blasi's, or Romitelli's, and I've seen these surnames paired with each other, but completely intermixed in different lines on trees of other matches.
My Italian is also limited, so it takes me awhile to translate the documents. Is it possible that My Cordelli ancestor was married to a Furiosi before or after Lucarelli? Although, the Antenali documents say Santina's mother was a Lucarelli.

Introduction

This Report is to be considered the first of three founding documents for Eden’s domestic and international doctrine after the Expansion. I have the fortune of undertaking this first part, dealing with Eden’s internal matters, while Part Two will be written by God-King Iohannis about Eden’s external matters, and Part Three by Pleistoros about Eden’s military matters.
Having expanded into what was once our allies, the Polish and Belarussian regions of the Commonwealth, a major readjustment is required regarding the socio-cultural landscape of The Garden. As such, this report will not only detail the ongoing perversions, a persistent threat to the Community, but also present new divisions for Eden based on levels of assimilation. It will also state the measures to be undertaken to ensure holistic and comprehensive assimilation occurs in every part of the Garden.
Due to its nature, this part of the report cannot be circulated beyond those it has been sent to. Members of the Community below the stated levels can be provided information without access to the document as required. The same goes for members of the Warriors, and the general Eden military. Certain elements of the report will be designated as “Kr̥snós” ([M] meaning Black in Proto-Indo-European), meaning that they cannot be communicated beyond those with access to the document. Should any be found in violation of these measures, the punishment is death.

The Perversions of the Garden of Eden

The Blood-Bathers

Overview

As mentioned in Classified Report #58: Regarding the Perversion of the Earth Mother and Her Faithful the Blood-Bathers remains a perversion concentrated amongst the Proto-Indo-European Elites of the Garden. These individuals undertake their own ‘Blood-Bathing’ rituals, simulating the rituals the Earth Mother draws power from, but warping them in increasingly disturbed ways. Blood-Bathers believe that through these rituals, they can gain the powers and youthfulness that the Earth Mother does. However, top theologians of the Community have established that these rituals, done with either none, or an insignificant amount, of the devotion which the Earth Mother has, are functionally meaningless. This is barring a limited few, who, through what can only be described as either miracle or luck, have achieved furthered states of being. These include Josef of Kyiv, The Blood-Soaked One in Eden, and the Vampire king of Transylvania.

Current Standing

Despite the perversion existing amongst the highest tiers of Edenites, it has been unable to emerge beyond the precious few who engage in it. Either due to its lack of proven efficacy, or its deranged nature, Blood-Bathing has not grown in the Garden, and sparsely any new converts from Poland and Belarus have been drawn to it. As such, it is believed that the perversion may be dying a slow death of its own.
Recent surveillance of Blood-Bather ritual sites has shown that while some are able to gather the necessary human blood for the rituals, increasingly few are able to do so in significant quantities. This has led to some incredibly disturbing reports across the Garden, suggesting that desperate Blood-Bathers have begun utilising both animal and even synthetic blood in their rituals. While nothing disastrous has come of these botched rituals as of yet, theologians believe that they are facsimiles of the same rituals which brought down Eden in the ancient times. As such, any Blood-Bathers engaging in these unholy rituals must be immediately terminated, lest they transform themselves into something evil and twisted.
While I have just stated that the perversion may be dying its own death, this has and can be helped along. The recent destruction of the Vampire King of Transylvania has essentially removed the Blood-Bather stain from that region, and as such violent solutions have been presented as the most effective cure. Possible operations against other known Blood-Bather cells are being investigated, and as such, while the perversion does represent somewhat of a threat to the Garden, I would consider it contained for the time being.

The Mu Fanatics

Overview

An exclusively theologically perversion, those who fit under the Mu Fanatics banner are heretics of the largest extreme. Mostly rural worshippers, the Mu Fanatics believe that humanity was born out of the sunken continent Mu , which was lost in a great war against the Atlanteans and the Lemurians. This belief is inherently heretical to the Community, as the Bible of the Earth Mother states that humanity’s first home was Eden. While they do not diverge elsewhere, this one belief is enough to see them established as a perversion.

Current Standing

Though in Report 58, the Mu Fanatics were labelled as having minimal threat to the Garden, recent events have seen such a label revised. While only extant in the two major clusters, one bound by Chernivtsi, Iasi, the Synevyr National Park, and the Parcul Natural parks, and the other reaching south to Chisinau and Tiraspol and as north as Yampil, their hold in these areas has become somewhat worrying. Specifically, reports have shown that Community Leaders throughout these regions have recently been infected by the perversion, and have started preaching this heresy. While this has not seen a spread of the perversion anywhere else in the Garden, it is not impossible that, having become more centralised, the perversion spreads. As such, I have recommended the Mu Fanatics be considered on the same level as the Roman Catholics and Russian Orthodox remainders, and scheduled them for intensive conversion.

The Cult of the Space Mother

Overview

Similar to the Mu Fanatics, but far less divisive, the Cult of the Space Mother is a heresy and a growing one at that. Founded on the basis of a single line in the BEM's Genesis 1:28, "And on the seventh day, the Earth Mother traveled, and spread life and light across the universe", the Cult believes that not only is this proof of alien lifeforms, but that the Earth Mother is their God also. Some more extreme members of this perversion have gone so far as to state that this means the Earth Mother herself is an alien lifeform, but these are few and far between. Many of those infected with the perversion have become absolute in the idea that Eden must become a space-based power, and facilitate humanity's first contact with aliens, while others are adamant that aliens are already extant in the Garden and are worshipping in secret until the Earth Mother tells them they can come out from hiding.

Current Standing

The Expansion has caused this perversion to grow significantly. Originally centered in the Donbas region, the perversion was perhaps even more enticing to the Belrussian converts than the Community was. As such, the Cult is apparent all throughout that region, specifically in the areas which used to be known as the Vitebsk Oblast, the Mogilev Oblast, the Gomel Oblast, and the Minsk Oblast. Despite its large and growing presence, I have not seen it fit to designate the Cult as anything above a minimal threat level. The reason for this is twofold, firstly, the Cult's theological differences are reconcilable with mainstream Community beliefs (ignoring the more extreme side of the Cult). And secondly, it may be that adopting the Cult's beliefs will be beneficial to the Garden, giving us a significant push towards the Space Sector, which is woefully lacking. Whatever the case, I recommend little more than watching the perversion over time, and perhaps co-opting it in the future.

The Camp Followers of the Children/Warriors

Overview

Simply put, the Camp Followers are a very straightforward perversion. They are those in the Garden who have stepped out of their normal lives to become camp followers of the Children and the Warriors. They represent the cooks, cleaners, entertainers, builders, and prostitutes of the Warrior and Children camps, to include but a few of their roles. Having devoted their lives entirely to the Children and Warriors, they are entirely destitute, living off whatever they can earn from these groups. Perhaps most worrying is the manner of their belief. While having no theological differences, they remained entirely devoted to their military masters, as opposed to the Earth Mother. As I mentioned in Report 58, these Followers have laid down their lives for Warriors and Children in the past, while also passing of their own kids to join either group if possible. With the development of the Brood, I would state that every single Camp Follower is also a Brood member.

Current Standing

Anywhere where Eden's military exists, it is likely you will find Camp Followers. While the Expansion did not alter their numbers significantly one way or the other, a recent change to the perversion has been noted. Members of the perversion have been identified with devoting themselves to a specific Warrior or Child, rather than these groups as a whole. While this is not an issue at the current moment, as these singular devotions have occurred on quite a small scale, if it is to become a trend it may be cause for concern. More specifically, should a Warrior or Child gather enough Camp Followers, they gain significant influence over the military units which they are attached to. In addition, Eden theologians believe that enough devotion to a singular source could result in a GʷerH-Kwen-Tos (Proto-Indo-European for 'Holy Elevation'), perhaps ascending such an individual to the status of a Demigod. Should this even seem a risk, violent means have been deemed acceptable against not only the individual but also their Followers.
The Followers have also shown themselves as an overall threat to society in another manner. Report 58 noted clashes between them and the Dryads near the Danube Delta, and while these are ongoing, the Expansion has presented another pressing matter. While this has been sparsely reported, any interaction between the Followers and the Remnants has ended in bloodshed. It is difficult to ascertain why at this current moment, but whatever the case, such an issue is completely unacceptable. The Remnants will be working alongside the Warriors and Children, and as such, bloodshed cannot be the norm. I have discussed this issue at length with Pleistoros, and the solution to this issue will be established in his report. Suffice it to say, should peaceful reconciliation be off the table, violence remains the option.

The Dryads

Overview

The Dryads are another straightforward perversion, being the most extreme of the Earth Mother's Community. Amongst all, they believe all life, even non-social insects are sacred and that the only way to truly devote oneself to the Earth Mother is through a direct connection. As mentioned in Report 58, those practicing Dryadism are degenerates, undertaking permanent nudism, unnatural relations with animals and plants, and rituals which have no place in the Community's theology. Furthermore, Dryads do not live in normal housing, only existing throughout shelter which has been overtaken by plants, or in temporary shelters made without harm. This perversion is almost entirely based around the Dnieper, Danube, and Olt rivers and near-daily reports come in regarding the deaths of those infected by it from frostbite, animal injuries, and exposure.

Current Standing

The Dryads are a declining perversion in my eyes. They have not shown any ability to spread north, and their numbers dwindle every day. Despite this, they do remain a threat. Should a group of them get it in their minds, they could easily cause a diplomatic incident with the Second Roman Republic, which could quickly escalate. As previously mentioned, they often clash with the Followers due to the way both differ significantly in their lifestyles, though measures are being undertaken to rectify this. The most worrying news is quite new. Due to this apparent decline, reports have begun filtering in stating that Dryads have started massing along the more rural areas of the Dnieper. Even fewer reports say why, but those that do suggest that they are gathering under an individual known as the Gʰel-Gʰreh or Green-Grower. What this individuals goal is and who they really are remains a mystery, and far more work must be done. Tentatively, if this gathering becomes significant in size, I would recommend death to all.

Chernobyl Adherents

Overview

Living entirely in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, those infected with this perversion are beyond lost to humanity. They have been whispered to by the temptress of radiation, and have exposed themselves to its light. They believe, quite wrongly, that the Elephants Foot which lies deep within Chernobyl is a gift and a challenge from the Earth Mother, and willfully expose themselves to it for unknown periods of time. This demented ritual eventually kills most of them, however, reports mention others who have been mutated beyond recognition. Led by the supposed Radiation Emperor (who I am not convinced is not also the Green-Grower), these mutations have come to be known as Cyclopes and Hundred-Handed Men, amongst many other names. Sightings of these mutated individuals are woefully low, as the vast majority who have seen them are kidnapped Edenites forcefully exposed to the Elephants Foot, which nearly always has lead to their death.

Current Standing

I'm afraid I have little to say here. The Expansion seemingly allowed these Adherents to expand northward, yet no reports of such a phenomenon have come across my desk. Attempting to get Children or Warriors in there seems a hopeless task, and the levels of radiation have increased recently, meaning even machines have difficulty looking into the zone. Such an increase is terrifying in its own right, as it suggests something more... sinister might be occurring amongst the Adherents, but what this is, I cannot say. While it is obvious that lethal force is on the table, for this perversion I would suggest Contingency 3a to ensure its complete and utter destruction.

The Remnants

Copied from The Report on the Expansion of Eden: "Though the Commonwealth Army who joined Eden quickly threw off their chains and began dedicated members of the Community, such a quick large-scale conversion never could be perfect. Many of these converts have joined a perversion known as the Remnants, and while it is early days, their main differences stem from the fact that they are dedicated to the idea of the Eastern European State. While this may initially seem harmless, it means that they put the Earth Mother below Eden, and as such may be liable to cause issue if they believe the state is being put at risk for the wants of the faith. Though, this does mean that they are as dedicated as any military unit to Eden. The Remnants are also incredibly anti-Alfr, to the extent that it may be unwise to station them on the border with any Alfr state. In addition, while these reports are incredibly recent, a small number of Remnants have been found to clash with Community soldiers, especially those who either are Children or Warriors, or who are part of the Camp Follower Perversion. All of this is to say, if the Remnants are not kept in check, they could represent a fracturing force which may destroy Eden"

Current Standing

The Remnants have shown that they are more than willing to kill those they come into disagreement with (as mentioned above with the Camp Followers). This is dangerous. They are also too valuable to destroy in any fashion, being a major part of Eden's armed forces. This makes them a lethal danger to the Garden. As such, I must recommend a new stratagem, the uniting of the concept of the Community with that of a United Eastern European State. This will placate the Remnants, but it must be done well. I will note that these Remnants are a minority of the converted Russian Armed Forces, and seem to work well alongside Eden's normal military as well as the Children and Warriors. It is only with the Camp Followers, and perhaps the Brood, where significant issues arise. But we cannot let these issues continue. Resolution must occur.

The Messianics

Overview

The Messianics seem to have taken Pagan-Christian syncretism to the nth degree. They believe that while the Earth Mother is the true creator, Jesus is also real, as well as being the Earth Mother’s son and the first messiah. While their other beliefs align with the mainstream Community's, they believe that a second messiah is forthcoming, and while this was originally Pleistoros or Iohannis, recent news has changed this.

Current Standing

With news of the Earth Mother's pregnancy, the Messianic perversion has begun to explode in popularity. Many in the Garden believe that her child is the unborn Messiah, who will lead Eden to a new age of global dominance and have begun to devote themselves to this child as well. This can only be a good thing, however, there are many Messianics who remain stalwart in their belief that either Pleistoros or Iohannis is the true Messiah. If, after the Earth Mother's pregnancy ends, this does not change, these individuals must be removed, violently if required. A fractured belief in who the true Messiah is can only end in disunity and death.

Roman Catholics/ Russian Orthodox

Copied from The Report on the Expansion of Eden: While not what we normally think when it comes to perversions, the recent expansion means that the Christian faith exists once more in Eden. Consisting largely in urban Belarus and rural Poland, the Christian faiths represent a heresy more than anything else. Intensive efforts are already occurring as to convert all who remain Christian, but lethal force is on the table should any holdout cities, towns, or villages not take to the Community. If they wish to meet their Lord so much, may their blood feed our Earth Mother.

Current Standing

There is not much to say here. Holdouts are centered around Western Belarus and Urban Poland, with conversion ongoing. Due to some of the more stalwart nature of these holdouts, I am activating intensive conversion measures, which should rapidly ensure conversion or removal of the stragglers.

The Divisions of Eden

Geographic divisions in the era of the Hyperstate were a useful, if limited, tool of government. Post-Hyperstate era, these divisions have outlived their usefulness, and must be reconsidered on a state-by-state basis. As such, the following part of this report will denote the new Socio-Cultural and Religious divisions of Eden. Split in twine, they will identify a person based on their cultural and religious assimilation into the Garden, as noted below.

Religious Divisions

The Religious Divisions of Eden essentially identify an individual’s assimilation into the Community, and furthermore their status as a practicing member if they are a part of it.

RD1:

Members in the Community who are RD1 or Religious Division 1 are known as the Garden’s (S)péḱers or Keepers. They retain the central Community churches in various regions and oversee the lesser leaders of the Community. Only individuals who are also SCD1 can be considered RD1 as well, and as such, these roles are exclusive to Proto-Indo-Europeans. RD1 members are able to contribute to theological and religious discussions within the Garden, and are expected to know how they should participate.

RD2:

Edenites who are considered RD2 are understood as the basic Community leaders. These can be the priests of Community centres/churches, or the leaders of Community outreach services. This position is open to those in the Garden who are SCD1 to SCD3, as RD2 individuals are expected to assist with cultural assimilation alongside religious assimilation. This is the level where ritual participation goes beyond simply chanting without knowing. These individuals know of blood rituals and some of the true nature of the Earth Mother.

RD3:

RD3 members of the Community are those Edenites who are active participants in their local Community church/centre. They attend all services if possible, and participate in the rituals which they are allowed. While RD3 members do not know the truth of Eden, they are first in line to be educated should vacancies in the higher tiers arrive. The vast majority of those in the Garden fit into the RD3 tier.

RD4:

Those in RD4 are practicing members of the Community, who may either be less active or hold somewhat negative beliefs. Members of the Space Mother and Messianic perversions are limited to this division due to their warped beliefs, and as such lose the privilege of engaging in rituals. RD4 members are not subject to widespread surveillance, but are kept under watch in case they seem to be at risk of falling prey to worse perversions.

RD5:

RD5 is the first of the prohibitive tiers. Those in the Garden who belong to their division include members of the Community who are found to be lacking in their faith or practice, or who are part of the prohibitive perversions. These perversions include the members of the Remnants, the Camp Followers, the Dryads, and the Mu Fanatics. Information is withheld from these individuals as much as possible unless active conversion is being undertaken for their specific part of the division, in which case effort will be made to uplift them to RD3.

RD6:

Any individual in RD6 is essentially a non-member of the Community. These include passive non-members such as Catholics, or members of perversions such as the Blood-Bathers and Chernobyl Adherents. Anyone in RD6 will constantly be expected to undergo conversion, and should they not see an uplift to atleast RD5 within a year, they will be positioned in RD7. RD6 prohibits those in the Garden from engaging in many activities, though they will be treated with similar rights as those above them.

RD7:

Those labelled as RD7 are either holdout heretics or members of perversions deemed to be active risks to the Garden. Anyone labelled with RD7 is scheduled for a violent conversion or destruction dependant on orders.

Socio-Cultural Divisions

These divisions identify an individual’s socio-cultural assimilation into the Garden and their restrictions based on that level of assimilation. It is a very simple list, going from Proto-Indo-Europeans all the way until the non-Pontics.

SCD1:

SCD1 or Socio-Cultural Division 1 is specifically for the Proto-Indo-Europeans of the Garden. These are the members of Eden’s society who have assimilated into perhaps the perfect Edenite, and are considered essentially the same as the original inhabitants of Eden. Those identifying as SCD1 have no restrictions on their movement and their expression of self, and though they are expected to be active members of the Community (RD3), they are not required to be anything but practicing (RD4). Members of the Warrior and Children belong here too, even if they are not specifically P.I.E.

SCD2:

Those in SCD2 are the individuals who have fully assimilated into the Pontic culture and ethnicity. Utilising the Pontic language and culture, they are amongst the majority of the individuals in the Garden. Some of these may be close to uplifting to SCD1. Members of SCD2 can enter the RD2 division and are expected to stay within the RD3 division at all times. Those who keep to these divisions will never be met with trouble in the Garden. Those in Eden’s military force are considered to be in this division, no matter their true culture.

SCD3:

SCD3 are those who identify as Pontic but whom are lacking in some area of their culture, society, and ethnicity. Despite their lacking nature, they can still reach the RD2 and are expected to maintain RD3. Through this, they retain full citizenship, but may find issues when their flaws are exposed. The vast majority of Edenites are labelled as SCD3.

SCD4:

Members of the Garden in SCD4 are those who have not been assimilated into the Pontic Culture but have shown good faith efforts to do so. They also include Romanians or Ukrainians who still exist but have shown that they are active members of the Community and otherwise may as well be considered Pontic. Due to their lack of Pontic Culture, they will find some opportunities missing, such as only being able to reach RD3 with great effort and never reaching RD2.

SCD5:

The lowest division of society and culture in the garden, those in SCD5 are the non-Pontics who show no engagement with the culture or Community, or worse, actively work against it. Individuals labelled as SCD5 must quickly assimilate, or risk worsening conditions. Those found working against the Pontic culture are considered perfect candidates for Blood Rituals.

Conversion across the Garden

The final part of this report will be brief, but explore how conversion should be undertaken throughout the Garden. There are three styles of conversion, Individual-Based, Community-Based, or Division-Based, with three intensities ranging from Passive to Active to Intensive. Individual-Based conversion simply sees specific persons targeted for uplifting, with this generally left up to the will of RD2 and RD1 members. Community-Based conversion occurs when entire neighbourhoods or towns are identified in need of conversion or uplifting, to be decided by either those in RD1 or myself and the Earth Mother. Finally, Division-Based conversion is for parts of, or entire divisions, and can only be undertaken on the word of myself or the God Mother.
Meanwhile, the levels of intensities are quite simple. Passive conversion simply seeks to encourage conversion through attending church/Community sermons, while Active conversion seeks to engage with every part of a person’s life. All Ads a person sees will engage with the Community in some manner, and the target will be constantly bombarded with pro-Community messages, alongside continual interactions with members of the Community. Intensive Conversion takes this to the extreme. Utilising ‘conversion booths’, individuals undergoing Intensive Conversion will be taken to Community Centres through the use of ads inlaid with subconscious controls. Once at the conversion booths, psychedelic drugs alongside violent and obscene imagery and noises are used to break a subject’s mind, before they are forcibly converted to the Community. Should initial conversion fail, this will be tried again and again until the individual accepts Eden or dies.

Conclusion

Though it may seem through this that the Garden is more divided than ever, it is only through our unity that these divisions can persist. The vast majority of Edenites exist within the mainstream or close enough, with only a select few engaging in truly troubling perversions. For the future, this report will serve as a guide to Eden’s internal affairs, and should be engaged with as decisions are made in regards to both individuals and divisions as a whole.

Credibility, Community, and You

AKA, Why Do We Have Account Requirements for Individuals?
In an effort to make your crowdfunding efforts more successful here on Reddit, some background first:
In many of the gifting and fundraising subs, you'll notice that without a certain amount "karma" and an account that's old enough, you'll garner down votes or worse, your posts and comments get automatically removed.
Why?
To many Redditors, this place is a community built on activity. The "coin" of the land here is your account, and how much you've contributed to the Reddit community at large reflected in post and comment karma.
As a general rule, Redditors dislike the creation of accounts specifically to fund raise or to make requests. It makes it seem like these people simply treat Reddit as some sort of magical internet wallet, and that doesn't win many friends.
The other reason why new accounts are so disliked is that they're often alternate accounts of established users, in order to hide their activity from people they know. While we do sympathize with those of you who have valid reasons, this privilege is often abused by those who create disposable accounts to scam people for a quick buck.
This trust issue doesn't exist in the same way with certified non-profit groups, as you can look them up online for verification, and at least in the case of 501c(3)s, their spending is transparent due to their required tax filings which are public information.
So if you're new to Reddit, welcome! Spend some time and look around for something that catches your interest and chat it up with others and become part of the community!
However if you're here for the sole reason of making requests in a hurry, please be aware your pleas for help will likely be ignored.
REMEMBER, CREDIBILITY AND COMMUNITY IS EVERYTHING!

3. Only 1 campaign per user. We want you have some personal connection to the campaign, and not submit multiples simply because they were in the news.
4. Reposts are allowed once a week. If a repost comes up too early, the newest one(s) will be removed.
5. Acceptable transfer methods for individuals are for crowdfunding sites only, such as GoFundme, YouCaring, etc. Individuals should avoid using Paypal, crypto, or direct banking aps (like Chase). 501c(3) and NGOs may use whatever method they wish.
6. Don't PM people to make requests. If you receive an unsolicited private message, please let us know!
7. Do not post politically-related campaigns. They're just too divisive.
8. Trolling will not be tolerated and offending users will be banned.
9. Don't bug the mods for an exception to the account requirements. None will be given. If you attempt to circumvent the requirement by karma farming or by commenting on someone else's post, your account will be banned.
10. No posting for other Redditors. No Alts. This is viewed as a circumvention of requirements and both accounts will be banned.
11. Selling is only allowed by 1st parties directly. We do not allow selling by 3rd parties to benefit another organization, as there's no transparency to verify that the announced percentage of sales actually goes to the beneficiary. Only direct sales by the non-profit organization are allowed.

Supporting Information Requested for Non-501c(3) and Non-NGO campaigns.

We aren't the government. We aren't a court of law. We definitely don't want you to give out information that could lead to identity theft. However, some campaigns are more successful when they have additional documentation.
This includes:

• Pet related requests: Photos of your pet in question, with your username on a handwritten note in the picture. This helps show you actually own the pet in question.
• Education related requests: Documentation showing enrollment or acceptance if you are asking for assistance for school.
• Redacted bills showing your situation. In some cases, a donor may prefer to pay a creditor directly on your behalf, so be prepared and find out if that is available to you.
• If you are sharing a campaign for a registered certified non-profit organization (such as a 501c3 or NGO), you should say so in the post, and it should list that status on the campaign page/web site.
• Or other relevant documentation that can help establish credibility.

How to Include a Photo or Other Supporting Info Document In Your Post

Because Reddit wasn't initially designed to handle photos when it was created, it has limitations in the implementation of photo support which don't work well for us. So instead we suggest the following:

1. Upload your photo to Imgur.com or other photo hosting site.
2. Copy the URL for the photo.
3. Create a new post or Edit your existing one to include the URL to the photo.

Please make sure to include this, as it is the primary reason why posts that are otherwise fine get removed.

Advice On Making Your Campaign Go Further

Not all crowdfunding campaigns are the same, but here are some suggestions.

• Make sure your campaign has been shared among your Facebook friends! You might think it's embarrassing, however your friends and family are more likely to care than internet strangers.
• Show that you've exhausted all the other possibilities. A lot of potential donors don't like to give money when it seems like the requester's first and only solution is to simply throw someone else's money at the problem. Nobody is going to take your word when you literally only say, "but I've done everything!", when the actual reality is probably closer to "I've done everything I can think of", which arguably is NOT everything.
• Show that there's a plan to use the money wisely. Often people have campaigns for their business ideas, but it doesn't really seem like they thought it all the way through. Tell people what steps you've taken so far, and what you're going to do next.
• Be open to critics. If there's something that people ask about, you should not be dismissive. Provide more detail. There's a possibility that they know something you don't, or they have something different about their own experience that might be useful to you. If you simply brush off your critics, it shows objectively that you're not doing everything possible.
• Review your own campaign with the mindset of a potential donor. Ask yourself, "Would I give money to this?" Or get a friend to review it for you.

ZillaSMP; Kingdoms and Politics

ZillaSMP is a Western European themed medieval roleplay SMP with kingdoms, naval warfare, tradable currency, and light RPG mechanics. It's almost like an entirely new game inside of Minecraft! (no mods are required to join)
ZillaSMP is set in a time between King Alfred the Great's death, and the formation of England; just as King Alfred's kingdom of Wessex took its last stand against the vikings. It's not intended to be 100% historically or geographically accurate, it’s meant to serve as a playable “alternate timeline” that is written through player actions and roleplay.

I finally have the rest of the certified documents that the S.F. consulate directed me to obtain after I submitted my application to them last year. Even though I'm a direct descendant through my German mother some of the docs need, I feel, explanations. I'm going to write notes to attach to them. How should I do that? Staple or use paperclips. Cursed Technique: "Patient Zero"
Description:
"Patient Zero" is a powerful and terrifying Cursed Technique that revolves around the themes of disease and contagion. The user becomes the origin and vector of a supernatural curse that spreads like a virus, infecting others and causing debilitating effects.
Effects:

• Infection Spread: Anyone who comes into physical contact with the user or spends a significant amount of time in their immediate vicinity becomes infected with the curse. The infection can spread through touch, respiratory droplets, or even proximity, mimicking the spread of a viral disease. Infected individuals experience a range of symptoms, including fatigue, fever, hallucinations, and a gradual weakening of their physical and spiritual abilities.
  
• Symptom Manipulation: The user can manipulate the symptoms experienced by infected individuals. This can include intensifying their pain, causing delirium, or even inducing paralysis. These manipulations require concentration and a direct line of sight to the target.
  
• Viral Replication: The curse can replicate and adapt, allowing the user to create variations of the infection that target specific vulnerabilities of their opponents. For example, a version that disrupts Cursed Energy flow in sorcerers or one that causes severe physical ailments in non-sorcerers. The curse can also mutate, making it more difficult for opponents to develop immunity or countermeasures against it. This requires time to take effect and a hefty amount of cursed energy to apply and maintain these mutations.
  
• Immune Response: The user is immune to their curse and can choose certain allies to be immune as well. This immunity can be granted temporarily through physical contact and concentration.
  

Cursed Energy Trait: Contagion Aura

• Infectious Strikes: Each of his attacks carries the infectious properties of his cursed energy, spreading the curse with every hit.
  
• Corrosive Defense: His cursed energy acts as a corrosive barrier, weakening any attacks that come into contact with it.
  
• Spreading Miasma: In close combat, his cursed energy lingers in the air, creating an area where opponents gradually become infected.
  
• Accelerated Decay: Weapons and objects struck by his cursed energy rapidly corrode and deteriorate.
  

Reverse Curse Technique

• Self-Healing: He can use the reverse curse technique to heal himself from injuries and negate the detrimental effects of his infection if overused.
  
• Cure Creation: He can temporarily reverse the infection's effects on others, healing their symptoms and curing them of the curse, though this requires significant concentration and energy.
  
• Symptom Alleviation: He can lessen the symptoms he inflicts on others, providing temporary relief or making his control more subtle and harder to detect.
  

Ultimate Technique: Pandemic Pulse
The user unleashes a massive wave of Cursed Energy that rapidly spreads the infection across a wide area, infecting everyone within its radius. This attack creates a zone of intense suffering and chaos, as the curse rapidly takes hold of anyone caught within it. The symptoms are amplified to their maximum intensity, overwhelming even the strongest opponents. This technique requires a significant amount of Cursed Energy and leaves the user vulnerable for a short period after its execution.
Domain Expansion: Plague Sanctuary
Appearance:
Upon activation, the surroundings dissolve into a dark, decrepit landscape resembling an ancient, abandoned quarantine zone. The air is thick with a greenish miasma, and the ground is littered with broken medical equipment, quarantine tents, and the decayed remnants of those who have succumbed to the plague. The atmosphere is heavy with a sense of despair and hopelessness.
Effects:

• Absolute Infection: Within the domain, "Patient Zero" curse spreads instantaneously upon any form of contact or proximity. Every breath taken and every surface touched within the domain infects the target with the curse. The infection spreads at an accelerated rate, causing immediate and severe symptoms such as extreme pain, high fever, hallucinations, and rapid deterioration of physical and spiritual abilities.
  
• Carrier Control Amplification: This control extends to both living and non-living carriers of the infection, allowing him to animate and manipulate infected objects and corpses.
  
• Corrosive Terrain: The terrain itself becomes a weapon, The ground and structures within the domain continuously emit a corrosive substance that weakens and destroys any non-cursed energy constructs or barriers. Weapons and tools degrade rapidly, becoming brittle and unusable.
  
• Immunity Zone: He designate a small area within the domain as an "Immunity Zone" where his allies are protected from the effects of the curse. This zone is maintained through his concentration and can be moved or expanded at the cost of additional cursed energy.
  

Weaknesses:

• The Domain Expansion consumes a significant amount of cursed energy, limiting the duration they can maintain it. Powerful purification or barrier techniques from exceptionally skilled sorcerers can create temporary safe zones within the domain, providing brief respite from the infection.
  
• The ability is highly dangerous to allies if not carefully controlled.
  
• Prolonged use of the curse can cause backlash on the user, leading to physical and mental strain.
  
• Opponents with strong purification or healing abilities can counter the spread of the infection.
  
• The user must manage their Cursed Energy efficiently to maintain control over the curse and its effects.
  

My father passed away in February 2024. He was a wealthy man.
About 10 years ago, my father invested $250K in my BILs real estate business. Their formal (signed) agreement stated that my father would earn 8% annually on his investment.
Now that my father has passed, my sisters and I inherited this investment. I've read that agreement many times, as I do not like my BIL and wanted my dad to divest from this arrangment.
The original signed contract sat in a file cabinet in my dad's office. There were also digital copies in both my dad's email folder and in a document folder on his computer.
My BIL was the first to my dad's house after his death. Now, all traces of this agreement are gone.
I've searched every backup disc and hardrive, contacted xfinity about getting archived emails.
I've contacted anyone whom my father might have discussed this investment with, or who might have helped my dad with a backup or any computer issues. And I've asked his accountant and lawyer.
I actually think that the lawyer (who also wrote my dad's trust and is his executor) might be in cahoots with my BIL on this.
What do I do? Who do I contact - local police, FBI, FTC?
Will a court order to Xfinity resurface emails and attachments from 10+ years ago?

Part 3: „It was the only real lie I ever told her “
Back to the time when I was at university and before all the medical problems. I was invited to a friend’s party. You know, the whole student stupidity; drinking, dancing and listen to terrible music. There was one girl that stood in the corner of the room that evening. She was there with some students from other departments and seemed not too thrilled by the gathering. I could clearly see a fake smile to the conversations and the surroundings. After a while I saw a familiar girl and we chatted for a minute or so. She was very drunk. I also had that fake smile of “enjoying” this gathering. The music, which was played, got even worse. I turned to that girl in the corner and our gazes met. She looked at me with a face that said it all: “How the what can I get out of here? “
I just shrugged slightly, formed a pistol with two fingers and pointed to my head and then faked a happy expression. She began to laugh very heavily. Like I learned, her name was Anna and she wasn’t drunk, not even tipsy but something about her had caught me. She was attractive, no doubts, but she seemed to be more “present” in the room than others.
From that day on we were like one. We met, chatted, laughed and after some time; well, did a little more. I was stunned what happened. Not even had I dreamed of a girl like her as my partner. She was everything I searched for without even not knowing that I needed it. I was madly in love. And through our conversations she confessed the same to me. I am not handsome or attractive. I was definitely not even close to her league. And she was no “Sandy” with no brain. I even questioned if this was a set-up or a trap. But I am coming from a worker’s family. No gold digger would stay with me for money. My career options were prosperous but this can be seen like a trifecta-bet. Why did she love me? When I asked her, she just said: “Because you are so stupid to ask!”
The most beautiful and mind-blowing about her were, in the end, the little things: the look of her eyes when I brushed her hair behind her ear, holding my hand as if she sometimes knew that I needed it and her good heart. She was the one calming me down when I was rushing forward of achieving things in a harsh manner. She understood me even if I didn’t tell her what happened. This was vice versa. When she was sad, I could cheer her up (okay, mostly the chocolate I always had in stock). When she was insecure, I helped her to find a solution for herself.
And yes, she was beautiful. She was natural and everything on her seemed to be the perfect combination. Her mannerisms and her movements were so classic and gracious.
How deep our relationship developed in just six months was unbeknown to most our friends and even my family. Sadly, she was on only child, raised alone by her mother after the sudden death of her father at the age of seven. Her mother died in an accident when she was 19. She had no grandparents left, even no uncles, aunts or cousins. She felt lonely. At the time I wanted to introduce her officially to my family as “the one”, there was an issue.
She was a little distant for a week or so. She said: „It’s nothing “. Although I was not married, every man with more than three active brain cells just knows: „It’s nuclear! “
It’s unbelievable how a little plastic object with indicator stripes can change your world forever. She was pregnant. And to my shame, I was a complete dumbfounded idiot with a blank mind and sat beside her and asked the dumb question: “How?” This was dedicated to the fact that we used protection and pills.
And Anna, looking at me with a mischievous smile said: “Come on Idiot, don’t pretend that you missed biology classes.”
That brought me back to reality. I was shocked but also kind of happy. It was not the best moment for having a baby, but it’s happening. I told her, more mockingly, that we should marry. She said: “Okay. That’s probably better. But don’t dare to wait too long to put a ring on my finger”.
Again, everything seemed to be on lightspeed. How should I explain this to my family? Well at least the finances where not a big problem. I was on a rarely full “stipendia funding” and she had a scholarship. But, damn! This was too early for that seriousness. But that’s life, I thought.
I was confused, shocked, happy, proud and terrified for the next days. Anna left for three days for an excursion with one of her classes at the university. She told me that she made an appointment with her doctor for confirmation of the pregnancy and for other check-ups after the excursion. When she was back, I have sorted more things out for myself. We wanted to meet in the late evening of Thursday at her place across the town. She had her doctor’s appointment on Friday and I prepared myself for the following conversation and wanted to tell her that we should go together to the appointment, if she wanted that. Before leaving my mobile rang. The number was unfamiliar. I answered the call with a “Hello?”
At this point my world collapsed with the words:” This is nurse …… from the ……. Hospital. I am calling about your fiancé Anna ……”
After discovering her pregnancy, she always has a small piece of paper with all necessary information about medical problems and an emergency contact in her purse.
I came to the hospital and rushed to the Emergency Unit. I told my name and whom I was there for. They called a doctor and informed me to wait for her. There were a lot of people, who waited for their call to be treated by the ER staff. I was crying and my heart felt like it’s almost shredded in thousand pieces. I waited about 10 minutes. A female doctor (let’s call her Dr. F.) called my name and I followed her to a small office.
Dr. F. came strict to the point. She told me first about the accident and then about Annas constitution.
Then Dr. F. (what I am remembering and in short) explained: “Your fiancé had a car accident. A driver lost control over his vehicle and hit her. Passengers called the ambulance immediately and she was brought to us. She has multiple broken bones and bruises. But that is nothing to the inner bleedings. We can’t stop them. We are trying to stabilize her. But there is no hope that her body will recover from these inner bleedings. She is now in one of our ER-Rooms and partially conscious. You can go to her, if you want. But be aware that she is under medication and maybe not awake. I must inform you that the fetus (she should have said: the baby) hasn’t survived. I am truly sorry. Do you want to see her. She always asked about you, if she is awake.”
I nodded my head. There was a hurricane insight of me but I felt like being in the eye of that monster. I was empty and calm. I didn’t cry anymore. I was weak and empty.
The doctor led me to Anna’s room. There in the hospital bed with a mass of equipment attached to her, was my Anna. Her face wasn’t bruised badly but the sheets must have covered her dishevelled body. On the floor were the remains of the bloody massacre. But not as much as expected; I thought. I went to her bed with small steps and stood over her. Her eyes were closed. I gently touched her cheek and calmly spoke to her with a voice like a whisper: “Anna. I am here.”
She didn’t respond. I said the same words again, this time a little louder and gently touched her shoulder. She opened her eyes slightly.
She smiled slightly and said: “Hi love.”
I cried instantly and managed or fabricated a smile and said back: “Hi Curly”
Curly (I hope this is the correct term in English) was my nickname for her because of her natural curly hair that I adored so much. The short version of our conversation is:
She asked me: “Is it really so bad?”
I said: “Yes dear.”
She said after some seconds: “I am so sorry. I don’t want to leave you. I am afraid.”
I reached out for her hand and hold it and said: “You have done nothing wrong. You are perfect. I love you so much. Please don’t leave me.” It was more a beg than a statement.
She whispered: “I love you too and I don’t want to die but I feel so weak and I am tired.”
I gave her a small kiss on the lips and hold her hand. She closed her eyes again. After some seconds she opened them again and asked: “Is everything okay with our baby?”
I said: “Yes. You will be the best mother and always watch after our baby. I love you, Anna.”
Anna said: “I love you too.”
She smiled and closed her eyes. This time she never opened them again and around 20 minutes later the EKG mad it’s devastating sound, indicating no heart activity, no pulse, no blood pressure and no Anna anymore.
The medical staff send me out of the room and tried to reanimate her but there was no hope. And 20 minutes later a doctor declared her dead.
I wanted to die too. This emptiness I felt, the loss, the pain, the anger, the disbelief and the broken bond were too much. My mind was on autopilot. I don’t remember many things that happened afterwards.
I was in the hospital for hours before I left.
Remember the beginning of my medical problems. It began in this night. I got the virus somewhere in or around the hospital.
Because she had no relatives to contact, I took the responsibilities with the funeral. She was cremated and buried in a small ceremony with only a few friends.
I never lied to Anna, except for typical questions like: “Do these pants look good on me?”
But the last statement I said to her wasn’t true, expect for the part where I told her that I loved her. I think she knew it. But it gave her peace in the end. It was the only real lie I ever told her.

Im trying to configure some key bindings for lsp, in this case Omnisharp, i was checking and the server_capabilities does not support formattting, but i still can use the vim.lsp.buf.format() function. From the docs it says that Formats a buffer using the attached (and optionally filtered) language server clients. so, i guess if the attached lsp does not support formatting it should not work, but i still can format the buffer, i was wondering how this server_capabilities get filled or if the buf.format function by default uses the formatexpr function if does not find a client with that capability? maybe im just getting it wrong or something. This is how i set the keybinding (to test it, i just remove the if statment):
