I have a Bachelor's in Pharmaceutical Sciences, in which I sought employment in pharmaceutical research and development. My relevant experience was for a university internship, in which I assisted a project, for a professor and his graduate students, about deuterium exchange. However, this limited experience resulted in getting in-persons interviewed in some laboratories but no job offers. After one and a half months of applying and rejections, I obtained one offer. For the past 1.333 years, have been working full-time at a hospital lab, as a processing tech.
Initially, I regarded this job as a blessing because (while finishing university part-time) I was working part-time as a package handler in a warehouse. Turn-over for the people in this specific position is well above the national average for company turnover. Between the time I was hired and this upcoming August, 8 people resigned. The number of full-time employees needed to complete the schedule (to have things flowing in a manner that would make the plays decent) is 13.
There is a more qualifying position: a serious hospital lab tech. However, this would require more upper-classman biology courses. It only needs a Bachelor's degree. Therefore, to obtain this position, I would need to obtain more relevant credits to my transcript instead of pursuing a Master's degree.
One qualification is that post-secondary education was preferred but not required. I was told by a co-worker that I could work as a pharmacy tech, usually at a retail chain. However, upon conducting research, Pharmacy techs barely make any more (estimated annual take-home pay) than what I am making. Even if most pharmacy tech jobs offer a higher hourly rate, at the lab, I pick up (more or less) 20 hours of overtime per week (for the past 9.5 months because of open hours due to the aforementioned turnover). The amount I make in my current job is enough to earn a living and save (due to benefits). Another concern is whether I may not get offered a pharmacy tech job because my recent experience may not be relevant. Not to mention, retail tends to be an infamous industry for not allowing overtime work, even with staff shortages.
I did not enjoy my time pursuing my Bachelor's, in which I barely made it. Therefore, I am not sure if it is worth the risk to pursue a Master's to increase my chances of getting a research and development job. Of course, I face a similar issue with a lack of experience beyond my undergraduate internship. This may apply to the aforementioned path of seeking a more serious tech path within the company.
Back in secondary education, I considered becoming a clinical psychologist or therapist. I earned a 5 out of 5 for the AP Psychology exam. However, I remember reading a Forbes article on how Psychology is among the worst degrees to pursue, in terms of having more holders than available employment positions. I was discouraged by the school social workers (the worst paid job for college grads), who cite that most people lack the necessary insurance. Another factor is that my father claimed that patients would not be interested in seeking therapy from someone with ASD.
Another career change path is to attend trade school and become a plumber. However, I did okay in a vocational trades course back in middle school when I was excelling in other subjects. Therefore, I am not sure if it is worth the risk to go to trade school to figure out if I have any chance of familiarizing myself with the subjects. These vocational trades are still in demand and least risk of being replaced by AI/automation, so obtaining employment, upon completing education, is less challenging.
This is becoming real outside of the box, but another possible career choice is to pursue anything adjacent to screenwriting and animation, e.g. sketch comedy, sitcom writing, storyboard artist, production coordinator, showrunner, etc. However, working about 60 hours a week does not help me figure out whether I could develop talent.
Yes, I am aware that keeping the same job is concerning since people who change jobs are way more likely to financially progress. To summarize my viable options, the list starts with the more realistic.

  4. Peruse a Masters degree to get into pharmaceutical R&D.
  5. Start college over again to become a clinical psychologist/therapist.

  7. Seriously attempt to get into screenwriting and animation.
My real question is: which path is the most practical for me to follow? Are there any other possible paths that I have yet to consider?

Hi guys i need some advice in regards to this.
I've recently returned from a trip in Europe.
While i was there i stopped off at a merchant and bought a few things.
While doing the transaction they said my Kiwibank card was "declined" so i tried it again which "declined" they offered to do a part payment on my Kiwibank card and another on my Wise Card (which only had about 200 Eur on it anyway).
So charges went through and i went on my way afterwards i decided to check my statements as i thought it was a bit weird that my card got declined i saw an additional charge on my statement and made my way back to their premises to ask them about it.
They initially denied the additional charge until i showed them the statements from both my wise & bank account their excuse was that it must be due to the dollar to eur exchange rate i said no it isn't you've very clearly charged my card twice they then changed their excuse again and said it was a 10 percent fee for using the card machine i said the math doesn't add up as i would've had to spend 2200 euros for that "fee" to be 10 percent.
I spent about 20 minutes arguing with them they eventually asked for my email address so they could send the receipts to "because apparently their printer wasn't working".
I left about 10 minutes after they sent them as i was getting literally nowhere.
Shortly after i got back to NZ i called Kiwibank and explained that i wanted to file a chargeback for one of the transactions on my card i explained the story to the person over the phone what happened & what i bought they asked if i had been in touch with the merchant via email i explained that the merchants email address is a no reply one but that i did go back to the premises and tried to get my money back from them.
The person on the phone said they'll file a chargeback under services not rendered and said they want a copy of my wise statement and the "receipts" that the merchant sent me.
I sent the documents over and was told they'll be in touch within 21 working days.
3 weeks passed and i received the following email from Kiwibank stating that they have stopped the dispute.
We have reviewed the correspondence you have sent through. Based upon the information you have provided we cannot dispute the transactions you have provided us.
When we dispute a transaction with Visa International, we need to provide Visa a breakdown of what the transaction was for. While you have been provided a receipt of the transactions, they do not included a breakdown of the goods or service you received or in this case did not receive. Because of this we cannot proceed with a dispute assessment.
To dispute the transaction, we would need a receipt from the merchant outlining the services you received for the transaction or a written statement on the merchant’s letterhead confirming you did not receive any services. Without this information unfortunately we cannot dispute the transaction at this time.
tldr: Chargeback rejected as proof of purchase is insufficient
Is there anything else i could possibly do regarding this or am i shit out of luck?

Holy shit, trying weed for the first times was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my life.
My sister had been trying to get me to try edibles and I figured I’d try it since I thought it would have similar effects to getting drunk. Which is something I did once at grad party. Getting drunk just made me sleepy and kinda out of it. Weed on the other hand was a totally different monster. My sister gave me these 300mg gummies and at first I thought I was alright. But after the first hour has passed my heart rate started to get out of control. And it constantly got worst for the next three hours.
The walls started to enclose on me, my heart wouldn’t stop pounding, I couldn’t escape my thoughts of dying, my mouth was dry as shit and I really started to panic. I ended up getting in the shower for like 30 min and I honestly don’t know if it even helped. It’s like I was slowly fighting for my consciousness and I was stuck in some dream world. My anxiety had never reached that high ever. I was genuinely thinking it was the end for me. I eventually found a way to sleep and somehow made it through work in the morning. It didn’t fully wear off til like 30 hours.
Im curious if this is a normal experience with weed or edibles? And if you had experienced edibles, what was your first time like?

My husband, Jose 34 yrs old started having pancreas related pain Sep, 15 2023 - he has an Inguinal Hernia that was found April 2023. He thought he his pain was related to that, as we been to the urgent care for previous pains - was sent home with pain meds. September took him to a hospital ER as this pain was different he stated.
Sep 2023 he was hospitalized for 15 days with chronic pancreatitis. They attempted to remove his gallbladder, had to abort surgery due to his abdomen was too inflamed. He was also on a pain pump with dilaudid, in the ICU due to his increased heart rate. He was discharged with pain medicine and to follow up with a GI and the surgeon. He was the most unhealthy person you’d ever meet - red meat diet. Never really been to the doctor. Ate whatever he wanted. Never, ever got sick.
October 2023, same hospital different location. Went to the ER for pain, admitted to the ICU again for the heart rate and this time necrotizing pancreatitis. Was there for 10 days. Pain meds told to follow up with GI - nobody wanted to operate due to not wanting to upset the pancreas even more.
November 2023, same hospital different location was admitted and hospitalized for 4 months. Was in pain and vomiting the night before. Had stents and a drain placed to get the fluid drained out. Once they disturbed the pancreas his WBC jumped up and infection disease doctors had to come in and get source control. Everything was going good until Dec 2, 2023 - he had horrible abdominal pain that just was not going away, while getting a CT scan done he was moved to ICU for the heart rate. While in ICU it was confirmed he was bleeding out internally. He was intubated for 5 days - they stopped the bleeding which part of his colon died and he now has an ileostomy. They decided it was best to open him up to flush and clean out everything inside of him (doctors compared it to a “bomb going off” because it was such a mess) he had a Jtube placed in his abdomen for feeds as well as 2 drains. And a NG tube in his nose sucking out the bile in his stomach. They removed his gallbladder, appendix, part of his colon, and 60% of his pancreas. He was in the ICU for about 2 weeks, then moved back to a regular floor. A week or so later he went septic and had to be intubated in the ICU once again where he experienced a “dropped foot”. Once he got back down to a regular floor Physical Therapy came to help - he had a walker for help and would get very tired getting around. He was released from the hospital Feb 08,2024 on TPN and IV antibiotics. His PICC line and jtube were actually just removed in April. He still has one drain in the is still draining about 35 cc daily. Today, he’s gained back about 53 pounds, after loosing 100. He’s completed 2 months of physical and occupational therapy. He said he feels good, says he’s about 60% back to himself ready to get back to work. In the hospital we had a great team and wonderful nurses, he of course had a couple of break downs and has everyone reassuring him he would eventually get better. If anybody would have said that to me at the beginning of the year I would not have believed them. For somebody who’s almost died twice and having a bunch of drains and tubes coming out of them he’s in good spirits today and I’m super grateful for that.
Currently we are dealing with getting his blood sugar under control.

Apologies for lengthy post, but trying to include decent amount of context
I’m a single, newly 25 year old female from the US. I moved to Sydney, Aus about 10 months ago. I quit a high paying tech job to come here.
OPTION A: initially, I moved here to be a backpacker on a working holiday visa. I ended up finding a full-time corporate gig at a boutique consulting firm. They’re willing to sponsor a skill shortage visa for me. This would allow me to stay here for 2-4 more years. The catch with this one is that the pay is not incredible ($95k AUD base). I can live on it, but it’s not competitive for my industry.
OPTION B: I have also been chatting with a big 4 consulting firm here in Sydney that has given me a verbal job offer. They would also sponsor a skill shortage visa for me, which would allow me to stay here for 2-4 more years. Benefit of this one is that a big 4 firm would look good on resume and have lots of opportunities. The pay would be a bit higher than option A (sounds like it’d be around $125k AUD base), but the catch is that I haven’t received an official written offer from them yet. Their HR team seems to be super slow moving, and haven’t had much communication with them.. been a month since the verbal offer and no written yet.
OPTION C: The final option is to go home and work for my old company. They’d be willing to pay me $165k USD base and promote me from my former title. The job would be flexible/work from home, and is open to location. I’d head to San Diego for the lifestyle, but would essentially be starting over there because I don’t know anyone. Starting over doesn’t really bother me too much.. I just don’t know if I’m ready to leave Australia yet
OPTIONS A/B: both would allow me the opportunity to live here for 2-4 more years, but realistically I’d probably only do 1 more year. Due to the exchange rate, both would be an opportunity cost because if/when I return to the US, my AUD savings will not give me much in USD. I’d also have been contributing to an Australian retirement fund, not a USA 401K, which will have greater tax implications when I go to take it out someday+wont be valued as much when converted back to USD.
I’m still considering option B because a potential idea is to just Hail Mary say no to option A due to the low salary. Then hope to hear back soon from the big 4 company mentioned in option B, while keeping option C as my backup plan.
Option C is solid because it’s a company I have worked for previously and know I really like them/the job. The money is also pretty great. But then I’d have to leave Australia in 2 months.
I guess I’m curious what others would do in my shoes…
Should I consider myself lucky to even have the opportunity to get a sponsored job/take advantage of being single/young and go with option A so I can travel Australia for longer?
Should I roll the dice with option B because I know it pays betteis better company than option A, and that I’ll have option C as a safety in case they ghost me?
Or should I end my Australian adventure and get back to the USA with a high paying job in option C?

I’m a customer of several large exchanges: kraken, cdc, binance and Coinbase etc
Obviously I use which ever has the cheapest fees / rates / rewards / spread when buying my bitcoin or other coins that I will hodl. I have 2 separate wallets: my hodl and my play(trading) wallet.
Iv always found binance to be the best for trading in terms of the options available. I usually do futures with small leverage. But sometimes I run into problems: today an order didn’t execute when it went well above the triggesell price. And that hasn’t been the first time it’s happened. It also lacks coins other exchanges such as cdc have. I’d sometimes but rarely use the auto trader / robo trading feature if a coin was bouncing between 2 figures for a long period.
Is there a better exchange people use? Preferably with options / futures / adjustable leverage etc? That would be my main criteria, anything after that is a bonus.
note: I don’t want to get into an argument about why trading is risky or how the the majority of trader lose money. I’m well aware of those risks. It’s not for everyone. I’m not planning on getting rich by it and have experienced both winning and losing over the past 5 years. Thanks

I have been on and off Hydroxycloroquine for the past year. I just started taking Cimzia 3 months ago and havent noticed any side affects after my injections. I have been noticing more alarming side affects when I take HCQ though.
Last night I took Hydroxycloroquine and noticed my heartbeat was rapid and it felt like my heart was pounding like I just sprinted at the end of a marathon. I tried breathing exercises because I thought I might have been having an anxiety attack but I couldn't really get a deep breath. My chest felt a bit tight and just uncomfortable like there was pressure pushing on it.
I then looked up HCQ side affects and chest discomfort and fast pending heartbeat are among the call your physician level side affects. So basically I am waiting for the holiday weekend to be over so I can call my specialty pharmacy. I plan on not taking this medication until I have talked to one of my pharmacists or rheumatologist.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? Is there anyone else I could contact in the mean time (nurse hotline)?

I've just noticed that the 'export' function is different between that of the android version and that of the browser-based web app. For example, on the csv, you can see this:
Importing on android a file exported on the web app also seems to cause errors due to certain lines (at least with my group). I do not know why for the moment
Also, when importing, it seems that transfers are reimported as expenses with the category 'Transfert d'argent' and not and actual 'Transfer' The problem does not seem to exist for 'Revenu'

So here it is.
I went on the my crypto to fiat wallet and wanted to sell some Bitcoins worth ₹50L. This was the first time I tried on such a huge amount.

Of course I know that these guys are the richest people in the world but knowing that there are richest is a different thing and looking at their account was totally different things. That's exactly where we see the comparisons. Same kind of account. Same kinda things. Bas Asset mein mere pe 3 digit - is ke pass 8 digit.
Asli jalan kya hoti hai ye mujhe aaj pata chala. Gand sulag gai meri. BC kitna Paisa hai yaar.... I felt like, Itne mein toh mein Rambagh khareed leta aur daily morning mein Golf kehlta.
However, positive side is that I can now proudly say that I deal with the Ambanis .. LOL.

Got this kid through youth recruitment, what position do you think is best for him?
I got this kid in my youth recruitment and even though he's 16, he seems almost good enough to play for the senior squad (FC Groningen) currently top 3 in the Eredivisie. He is currently a natural winger, but with his descent finishing (for his age), I'm thinking about moving him to Mezzala on Attack. We currently play a 4-3-3 with a Mezzala / CM-s (sometimes A if we are the stronger side) backed up with a HB in midfield. I am also thinking Inside Forward may be the way ahead as well, but that would waste his good crossing ability. What do you guys think?
