2024.06.02 07:56 Zkzok Weird Dream

i always have this idea that dreams represents messages Weeks ago i had this weird dream that i couldn't make sense of it, I was dreaming that i was in my hood and there was a new "AI" technology device that can change shape of objects the way you like it so i bought one because i have depression i wanted it to change the shapes of objects i see to look dreamy beautiful so i can see things different and be happy, it was a small white device looks like "wii" console so i turned it on and walked to the street and started to look around i was surprised to see things not the way i wanted buildings looks colorful dreamy with evil eyes that kind of eyes that give you feelings that they hide something bad for you its not like that red demons like eyes but like blacknwhite simple cartoon eyes if you know what i mean , with cunning evil expressions that give you vibes that they have bad things for you ,and they where there in everything i look at not spread randomly but every object have just one pair of eyes the clouds, tables, buildings, trees, at some point i met a girlfriend i never knew before and some other people but seems like i was the only one who can see those eyes.

2024.06.02 07:47 Inevitable_Tea8538 [TOMT][VIDEO GAME] HELP ME FIND THIS GAME RPG GAME THAT WAS ON THE WII

There is a game I vividly remember playing on the wii. It was a 2d platformer rpg-style game where you have a gun and in some point in the game fight a big TV like thing with little brown lines coming out of its eyes.. There was also a professor or doctor of some sort in the beginning of the game and I think you had to find him, idk. I remember the main character having a hat of some sort. There were also little bunny people in the game too.
Also, there were bats as enemies in the game if this helps.

2024.06.02 07:05 mansplanar Don’t Know What To Write For A Hinge Prompt? I Came Up With 36 Hilarious Answers

I’m not going to lie, I used to have no faith in dating apps. I thought that all the people I found on Tinder, Hinge, and Bumble were all people I could never click with in real life. But then I did it. My friend and I took the jump. We downloaded a dating app and tried to come up with funny answers to Hinge prompts to make my profile the best it could be. What started off as a joke, slowly turned into something that made us excited. We looked forward to showing each other the guys we matched with and the conversations that were started.
We giggled as we made each other’s accounts, choosing the hottest pictures of us and creating the most ridiculous responses to the Hinge prompts that would be on our profiles. We hoped to find someone who could match our silly energy and find someone that we could be authentic with: We wanted to find someone who would encourage us to delete the app.
Hinge prompts are like interview-based questions that make things a little more interesting than a generic bio with your name and age. All prompts have a 150-character limit so the answers should be short and clever. You can even use a voice prompt but the point is to show off what makes you, you: uniqueness is key. So, if you’re looking to beef up your profile, here are 36 Hinge prompt answers to add to your profile.
Oh, and PS, some of these are actually from my Hinge feed and are the perfect way to get into someone’s DMs. Jussayin’.
“Dating me is like…”
Be transparent and give a glimpse into what it is like to be with you.
“Reading a really good book…but you’re dyslexic.”
“Having TSA Pre-Check.”
“You know that feeling of closing dozens of Chrome tabs after finishing your last final before a holiday.”
“Finding a pair of jeans that fit perfectly on the first try.”
“My Most Irrational Fear”
From heights to clowns, this is a great place to talk about your fears.
“Finding out I’m allergic to food while eating it.”
“Fear itself?”
“You ignoring my profile.”
“Swallowing seeds because I was told a plant would sprout in my belly.”
“Green Flags I look for…”
Get a little deeper about your type. What are you looking for? Be open and honest.
“Using a fork properly, rather than stabbing at your food”
“Being good with kids.”
“Survival skills. If we ever get stranded on a desert island, you should know what to do.”
“Always has room for dessert.”
“A Shower Thought I Recently Had…”
This prompt is a great way to show off your humor. Be creative with this.
“Is Punxsutawney Phil emotionally okay?”
“It’s illegal to own one guinea pig in Switzerland because they get lonely.”
“Water is not wet.”
“Aliens invaded the moon on July 20th, 1969.”
“We’re the Same Type of Weird If…”
This is definitely a more lighthearted prompt. Pick something that is totally unique about yourself.
“You enjoy the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving, too.”
“You can eat pickles at any time of the day.”
“You still play with Legos.”
“You pour the milk before the cereal.”
“First Round Is on Me If…”
Be assertive! Skip the small talk and invite your match to drinks. Don’t be super easy though. Pose a challenge.
“You can beat me at bowling. I’ll accept Wii Bowling.”
“You can beat me at today’s Wordle.”
“You can quote [movie].”
“If you can beat an escape room.”
“Unusual Skills”
Showcase some niche interests. Anything that comes with a story is perfect if you want to keep the convo going.
“Belly dancing.”
“I can catch basically any reptile.”
“Notorious alarm setter who can still sleep past their alarm.”
“I can tie a cherry stem into a knot with my tongue.”
“Let’s Debate About…”
Controversial topics can get the ball rolling. This could be serious or maybe something flirty.
“Pineapple on pizza?”
“Brunch should never be before 1 p.m.”
“It’s acceptable to eat a tomato like how you eat an apple.”
“A morning person can never be trusted.”
“Together, We Could…”
Outline a dream date! Highlight your favorite ways to get to know someone
“Cook a nice dish and drink a bottle of wine.”
“Rule the world.”
“Be like when oxygen and magnesium get together… because people will be saying OMg.”
“Backpack our way through Europe: Paris, Florence, and Madrid are on my bucket list.”
Overall, Hinge prompts allow you to showcase yourself, your passions, and what you are looking for. Successful prompt responses should show a bit of your humor and vulnerability. Don’t be afraid to be genuine. These are the perfect way to kick-start conversations with matches. Dig deep. Good luck!

2024.06.02 05:20 bluedot8877 Questions for the Xbox Gamer Dads out there

This may seem more appropriate in an Xbox sub but I had some questions fellow dads might have answers to. We just bought my 10 year old son an Xbox Series X. This is the first newer generation game system in our house. The 4 kids (7 to 14) had previously played on an old Wii. I’m showing my age but the last game console I played on was a Sega Genesis and PS1 well before I had kids. Sorry if the questions seem obvious. I just want to make sure I set it up right. My ideal situation would be to set it up as me as the main useadmin and be able to manage his and other kids’ screen time, what game ratings they can access, who they can chat with, avoid viruses (can these get viruses?), etc. Basically setting up age appropriate parental controls. So far, I’ve setup an account for me and I think I’ve setup a kid account for him using one of my old junk email accounts but not sure I did it right.
1: Are there any good YouTube guides on setting it up, setting up accounts, what game service is best (if even necessary) etc.
2: I’m not used to having to let it download games when you insert a disc. Can you not just put in a game disc and play anymore like on older consoles?
3: What is the difference between Xbox live, game pass and game pass ultimate? Are they necessary for him to play online games like Minecraft with his friends? For things like Minecraft, do he and his friends all have to be on the same version to play?
4: If we do one of the game subscriptions, is there any point in buying games on physical discs anymore?
5: Also if we do a game pass or something, can we set it up on my main account and the kid’s accounts still have access to all it’s benefits or would they need a game pass of their own?
6: Do each of my kids have to have a separate email to setup an account profile for the Xbox?
7: Do you have to keep setting up individual accounts with the different game companies? Especially for each user? That is getting old already.
Sorry for all the questions. This is all new to me, I’m missing the simplicity of the old school games already but do see a lot of titles that look fun to play with (and without) the kids once I get it all setup properly. TLDR Need to setup an Xbox Series X for my son and have no experience with modern game systems.

This game deserves to see the light of day again. Does it have a shot?
https://preview.redd.it/npn3qtyb414d1.png?width=220&format=png&auto=webp&s=5fdb1def2f954054a8ff7f3fa46705df86aa4b1a
Nintendo Direct mysteries are brewing once more, and so speculation of new releases is at an all-time high (well, at least since a few months ago). But with news of the Switch's successor on the forefront of our minds, it feels like we're at somewhat of a tipping point. 2024 is shaping up to be an unusual year compared to all others in the Switch's life, with major game releases seemingly pushed into 2025 when the new hardware can support them and they can support the new hardware. Technically, Nintendo has never given us more forward and early information about an upcoming Direct than they did on the May 7 financial briefing. Even so, the details of the presentation and how it will affect the remainder of the year seem more mysterious than ever.
Given Super Mario RPG, Paper Mario TTYD, Mario vs DK, and Luigi's Mansion 2, Nintendo is clearly pulling easy game remakes and remasters out of their back pocket to strategically fill out the year of game releases while larger titles are saved for later. This is why, with the June Direct looming, I want to give special attention to Yoshi's Woolly World.
This game is brilliant, to say the least, and Yoshi fans will agree. Its art style, gameplay, and music are delightful and surprisingly challenging. I could gush on and on, but you get the point. Since 2017, we've seen Wii U classics become revitalized, hoping to ride the Switch wave. And for the most part, they did! Super Mario Maker 2 came out swinging with a full sequel, Super Mario 3D World got an enhanced version and the spinoff open-world platformer Bowser's Fury, and many, many more. Yoshi had his moment in 2019 with Yoshi's Crafted World, but that game, at least to me, failed to capture the magic of Woolly World is many ways. Also, NOBODY talks about it anymore, which is a little sad. Hopefully, Nintendo doesn't think a Woolly World port would cannibalize sales of Crafted World at this point, because I fail to see how it would. Both games offer something new to the Yoshi series, and Woolly World is simply too good to be stuck on a console that nobody owns and where it can no longer be digitally purchased.
The Yoshi series is one that, in my opinion, deserves to be bigger than it is. With Woolly and Crafted World being the only notable releases in the last decade, it's no surprise why it isn't seen as one of the greats. But I truly believe that Woolly World is good enough to revitalize the series and give it new promise heading into the next console generation. All is quiet on the Nintendo front right now, and so it's the perfect chance for a game like this to enter the limelight.
Have any of you played Woolly World? What do you think of it? And do you think it would see better days on the Switch?

2024.06.01 23:52 ZCass53 That time I became an avant-garde composer out of spite

So, after much delay, here it is: My foray into avant-garde composition.
One unit my very-incompetent music teacher had us do was Composition WIth Online Music Software (specifically, Noteflight). After a few days of showing us how to work the software (which, honestly, could've been condensed into 10 minutes of reading a digital instruction manual), he let us loose on our project: Writing our own compositions.
For the sake of not completely overwhelming us, our composition was only supposed to be one melody line that lasts for 50 measures of 4/4 time, although there was a checklist of things to include (like all the different note lengths from whole to 16th, accidentals, tempo markings, articulations, etc etc).
I was confident about the project when I started... until I asked Mr. Music Teacher for advice coming up with a melody.
And he told me that he doesn't teach that in his class.
What's the point of having us write compositions if you're not going to teach us how to actually write compositions?!
In an act of what's called "malicious compliance", I decided (since Noteflight allows you to input notes by typing the note names on your keyboard) to randomly generate my piece by repeatedly dragging my hand across the keyboard (and then go back in after I was done and add anything from the checklist I was missing),
And the end result, surprisingly, actually sounded fairly decent. Nothing amazing, but you literally couldn't tell the difference between notes that were randomly generated and notes that were produced consciously by someone who doesn't know how to write a melody. (Which, I think, really says something about Mr. Music Teacher's teaching approach). There was even this one neat melodic motif (unfortunately, I can't remember what it was) that popped out of the chaos by sheer luck and sounded really good.
And then Mr. Music Teacher randomly dropped on us that the piece needed to have a percussion part, and that the percussion part needed to "complement" the melody (he didn't tell us what "complement" actually meant, aside from the fact that it disallowed just having a single drum hit at the beginning or end as your "part"; and, in fact, when I looked up what "complement" in musical terms meant the few different answers I got had nothing to do with percussion parts). I was annoyed, because I already liked how my random melody sounded and didn't want to mess it up by adding a drum piece- so, I decided that if I wasn't going to enjoy how it sounded anymore no one would, and I set about at setting up more malicious compliance.
My drum part was: Constant 16th note hits on bass drum, snare drum, and cymbal, which played throughout all 50 measures. In real life this is called a "hammer blast" and it's actually used in metal music, but the sound Noteflight made from this didn't actually sound like a hammer blast; it sounded more like the noise my Wii gaming console would make whenever a game froze up.
For my finishing touches, I named my piece "Stochasm Aleatori" (based on "stochastic" and "aleatoric", two different words for "random"), and decided to say that, in a representation of chaos and unpredictability, "part of" the piece was randomly generated (technically, only part of it was, since I went and copied that motif I liked a few times), and the drum part was supposed to represent/sound like a computer glitch.
Oh, and I and literally everyone else in my class was finished with their piece literally weeks before the due date, so we all ended up spending a lot of time just playing around on our computers.

2024.06.01 17:57 AshtonInStereo Integrated Amplifiers with 4 "modern" speaker outputs (for banana plugs)

Hello all,
I believe I've gone as far as I can alone and now turning to the public for help. I have been searching for cheap ($200 max) integrated amplifiers (built-in preamps) that accept banana plugs and have come up short. The ones I see on amazon and elsewhere only have two speaker outputs (or one pair depending on how you view it). I have a pair of JBL L52s that Im trying to hook up to my turntable so I need 4 outputs (2 pair) and a phono input.
Does such a thing exist at this price point? For those suggesting I splice the end of the banana plugs and use bare wire connections with an older integrated amplifier, thats just something Id rather not do but I understand that is an option.
What I'm looking for is something like a Wiim Amp but cheaper without all the extra bluetooth and tech driving up the price.
Any help would be appreciated. If this is a dumb question just ignore it. No need to downvote or comment negatively.

SKYQ Boxes providing alternate pathway to the internet???
Hi,
This post details quite an odd scenario I had with my network whilst I was repairing one of my ethernet links (Marked in Red)
I have attached the network topology as an image. In a nutshell, what I was seeing was that my devices (PC and iPhone) were still able to access the internet despite the link (Marked in red) being unplugged on both ends. I confirmed that the PC and Iphone were connected to the switch and Asus Wireless Access Point Respectively. I disabled the Wifi on the PC to make sure aswell and switched off mobile data on the iphone
This meant that there is only one pathway to the internet which should be the link marked in Red therefore this shouldn't have been possible. I did note a significant speed reduction (On my PC speedtest was giving me around 40mpbs on a 1gb fttp connection so something was seriously wrong)
Puzzled by this, I double checked my topology and made sure it matched what was presented in the attached diagram. After this, i started unplugging devices one by one. Whilst doing this, i noticed that all internet access ceased after disconnecting the ethernet cable from the SKYQ Main box. This made zero sense but i triple checked this by continuously connecting and disconnecting the cable in question and it was indeed the case
Of course, this made zero sense as the SKYQ box shouldnt be providing a pathway out to the internet but my tests made it seem like it was doing so.
The only way that would be possible for the PC or the Iphone to access the internet is to traverse the link to the netgear switch, towards the SKYQ box and use the WIFI to link back to the main router and subsequently traverse out to the internet which was completely ludicrous. (The skyq box was wired and also had the WiFi details saved)
I have since rectified the broken ethernet link so its a non issue currently but was hoping someone can chime in and provide a more sensible theory than the one i presented above lol

2024.06.01 17:05 liefthelucky I've had a grudge for awhile

I've had a grudge for awhile
I've had a problem with Loblaws since they bought out Shoppers years ago.
Shoppers Drug Mart was THEE place. I got my New! 3DS XL from there for about $75. I bought my Wii U from shoppers and my now ancient 42" TV that was $~450 I got for $180 bucks.
I'd go there and spend money ALL the time. Clover Leaf Spicy Tuna was 4/$5 frequently. The price of 4L jugs of milk would go on a proper discount. It was my favourite place to get snacks, and I'd always sent my prescriptions to them.
Anyways, I forgot I did make an account when the points merged to what they are now - and well, I don't know how to close it. But I'm happy with this.
Thank you for reading my /rant
Cheers everyone,

2024.05.31 19:36 iMonkeyss My Game Collection

My Game Collection
I’ve had a majority of much of the older games from my childhood. But, I’ve sold a bunch of my old childhood games back when I was a kid to buy newer games as times and new systems and games went on. It all started when I wanted to play an original copy of Ocarina of Time on an original N64 that I really began to collect for games. Everything else just began to click as I would start to research games. My main console was mostly PS3 and Xbox 360 and Wii U but I’m trying to just get anything that I’d play at this point, and honestly I’ve found some crazy steals for most of the games I have because no way am I going to pay crazy high prices for some games. But idk where I’m going with this just wanted to share my collection. Hope y’all enjoy!

2024.05.31 18:03 SonicCody12 Spike the Jumper: Landing in Mistralton City, Debriefing, and a Test

When Spike and the group touched down in Unova, Sombra was there waiting for them. He looks at his watch "Right on time" Sombra said with a smile "However there was a bit of a commotion in Sinnoh. But I handled it....By the way I have a Giratina as a result of that." Sombra added quickly.
"A what?!" Spike said with concern
"Not important. Team Plasma has been quite ever since I got here. But I have heard that they have been laying low." Sombra "However they have been some rumors here and there." Sombra. then looked at Spike. "Now we need to find Plasma...however I wish to see how good you are right now." Sombra then frowned. "There is one problem. I would tell you to take on the Gym of this City but...." Sombra then had an expression that can be described as a combination of disgust and annoyance.
"What? You don't think I can do it?!" Spike asked Indignantly
"No Skyla had been doing something rather dumb. Air Battles" Sombra said. Which Elicits a groan from Flash and Sunset
"What's Wrong?" Spike asked the couple.
"Skyla used to be a gym leader that would battle with flying type. Now she does this thing called Air Battles. An Air Battles is a battle that she played out in her head, instead of traditional battles. Skyla matched up her Pokémon against her opponent's and made decisions through their strengths and weaknesses. If she felt her team would have a disadvantage, she would give the challenger the Jet Badge. However, if she felt her team had the advantage, she would deny the challenger a Badge." Spike looked at Flash with disbelief
"We wish we were kidding but we are being 100% serious." Sunset then takes out her badge case showing her collection of Badges. Before pointing to a particular badge that looked like a feather "I got this by showing her a bunch of electric type Pokémon and she just give me the badge" Sombra nodded
"I did something similar but with rock types" Sombra added
"Ditto" Flash groaned. But Spike Smirked
"What if I can not only beat her by using Pokémon that would be a bad match up against Flying, But also get her to battle me normally" Sombra raised his eyebrows
"If you can pull it off go for it"

2024.05.31 12:02 fonix232 Best replacement PSU?

About two weeks ago my Wii U PSU started to have a slight coil whine. At first it was just when playing a demanding game, but then it got louder and happened even idling on the main menu... And as of today it's loud enough to be annoying while I'm reading a room over, and the console isn't even turned on.
At this point I'm afraid of using it any further before it fails and kills my console.
Is there any recommended PSU? Or maybe a USB-PD trigger board? Something smaller, less bulky would be a great addition to my gaming bookshelf, and I have a bunch of good quality USB-PD adapters which I could use with a trigger board as well.

2024.05.31 08:36 TrevnadoYT Wii remote connection issues

I’m sure you get people like me all the time, but even after googling for about two hours I couldn’t find someone in my situation. I tried to connect a Wii remote via Bluetooth to my Windows 11 Laptop, and after a few minutes I figured out you need to add a device from the control panel to bypass the PIN code prompt. After I did so, no issues whatsoever the Wii remote worked perfect with dolphin. After a while the lights were 1010, which I believe is player 5, and inputs no longer worked in game. I removed the device, (after pressing the remove device button somewhere close to 40 times, apparently removing a device can fail for some reason) and tried to reconnect. From this point on, I could not get my Wii remote to connect. The first time, I Press 1 and 2, lights blink, and windows tells me that it was successfully paired. They kept blinking for about a minute and then finally settled on light display 1000 and I could input in game. Now, I press 1 and 2, lights blink, windows says it’s connected, but the lights keep blinking for over 20 minutes. I tried over and over, removing the device, turning off Bluetooth, using the sync button instead of 1 and 2, restarting my computer, shutting down and turning on my computer, I even tried failing the PIN code prompt on purpose and then connecting to see any changes. Nothing. I even have a photo of my computer telling me the device is paired while all lights are off. And another of it saying paired while my Bluetooth is off. Does anyone know why this could be happening?

2024.05.31 01:38 OneManFreakShow Anyone have luck with DolphinBar?

I have a DolphinBar and can sync my original Wii Remotes just fine, but as soon as I tell Dolphin (the app) to use the controller, the lights on the remotes freak out and keep alternating between 1/3 and 2/4. The weird thing is that this didn’t happen at all the very first time I paired the Remote. It synced right up and I was playing Wii games with no issues. It’s only after I returned to the Dolphin menu the first time that this started happening, and it hasn’t worked since. I’ve done multiple reboots, I’ve erased my Wii Remote settings and re-added them, I’ve unplugged and replugged and switched the DolphinBar off and on dozens of times, I’ve even re-paired my Remotes to a real Wii to make sure they’re completely reset from the Bar. I’m extremely annoyed at this point. Does anyone have any idea what’s going on?

2024.05.30 16:33 SonicCody12 Spike the Jumper: A Wonderful Surprise Gift, and more guests

"It's getting late" Goofy said noticing the sun going down. "How about we continue this in the morning?"
"Good idea. I might be a bit late. got apples to harvest" Applejack said . Every pony went their seperate ways..
"Pause." Twilight said as she got ready for bed.
Next Morning
"TWILIGHT!!!" Imagine Twilight's surprise when She heard Applejack's scream. Twilight shook her head and teleported to the map room to see a frantic face.
"AJ...What's wrong?"
"NEVER MIND THAT GO OUT SIDE YOU NEED TO SEE THIS!!!" Twilight rolled her eyes and followed Applejack outside and then froze.
"It can't be" Twilight said shock and tears in her eyes. Not too long after her guest arrived to se what was going on
"Oh yeah....so it finally arrived." Fred said with a yawn
Twilight however had tears in her eyes "It can't be" Max Knelt down putting his hand on Twilight's shoulder
"Welcome to Spike Personal Abode...or rather. Welcome home Twilight. Welcome to "
"The Golden Oaks Library." Not long after the rest of the Mane Six shows and Discord teleports in.
"Is that?" Pinkie asked
"Yes...it looks like it" Rainbow said still dumbfounded
"So do you wanna go in or?" Bolt asked.
"Yeah..." Twilight said as she lead everyone inside. As everyone entered the shock confusion and joy had doubled, because the inside was just like it was before Tirek. Like it was never destroyed. Sure there were different books on the shelves but here it was her old home. But the happy moment was ended by the sounds of Snoring. "Is someone here?" As they investigate the source of the snoring they saw several people one was groggily waking up. Pinkie got in their face
"Hi!"
"YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!" Whoever was sleeping was woken up by the scream. One was annoyed about being woken up.
"Pepino whats the commo- Oh We have finally arrived" And there they saw him. The one that Spike made a bet with, The tyrant of the Crystal Empire, Sombra....and he was levitating a mug and walking toward the kitchen "Ugh before any of you start let me at least have some Coffee. and Pepinno calm down and make some breakfast. As the others are going to wake up soon" The one that Pinkie scared nodded. Now that they got a good look at him, he seem to be some sort of Chef.
"Hmmm? huh Looks like Spike wasn't kidding when he said he came from a land of Magic Talking Ponies" Peppino said after taking about 3 minutes to calm down. "Oh and in future don't startle me like that."
"WHO HAS DISTURBED MY SLEEP!" A rather lanky man demanded.
"Boss...not so loud." A small girl asked with a yawn
"Yeah...we just woke up Giovanni" A teen grumbled
"Uncle Peppino...who spooked you?" Another Girl who was dressed in pajamas said sleepily
"For a moment we were back in the tower." A woman that is now dressed in a chef outfit said with mirth tone
Then the new arrivals noticed the ponies.
"oh...we are finally here...I mean. BEHOLD! FOR I AM"
"Giovanni please. its too early."
"Oh sorry bear trap"
"Bear Trap" The Mane Six repeated with confusion
"That's my code name. My real name is Molly. Molly Goof." Molly then pointed to the teenager "She's my sister Lorelai"
"Sup...now who spooked Peppino." Pinkie slowly raied her hgof. " A candy colored horse?"
"Pony actually." Pinkie corrected causing Molly Lorelai to do a double take
"And she talks. I take it that this is Equestria, Spike's home" Molly asked.
"Yeah." Rainbow confirmed as Sombra returned with a mug filled with Coffee. Said mug said 'You're the best"
"Well seeing you are here...want some breakfast?"
