For weeks, I've been using the Mozeeda 5 Pack Safety Glasses for various tasks, and I must say, their features have really stood out.
When I first put them on, I was surprised by their size. They were surprisingly roomy, allowing me to wear them over my regular glasses without any discomfort. The soft nose piece and lightweight design made them comfortable enough for me to wear for extended periods, even during physically demanding tasks.
One of the highlight features for me was the anti-fog technology. After using traditional goggles, I found that these Mozeeda glasses allowed me to see clearly even in foggy conditions. It's a feature I would highly recommend for anyone who needs vision clarity for their work.
The safety glasses also proved to be versatile. I used them in various situations, from gardening to welding, and they performed well each time. They were able to protect my eyes from wind, sand, and flying debris, and their splash-resistant lenses were especially useful in the lab.
However, one downside I noticed was the durability. After a few weeks of use, the lenses started to show signs of wear, and the frames began to scratch easily. Despite these minor issues, the Mozeeda glasses proved to be a valuable addition to my safety gear.
In summary, these Mozeeda 5 Pack Safety Glasses are a practical and comfortable choice for anyone needing protection against various hazards. While they might require some maintenance to keep them in top shape, their versatility makes them a worthwhile investment.

These ToolFreak Rip Out Safety Glasses with Foam Padding are a game changer for anyone in a job that requires protective eyewear. The foam padding is comfortable and secure, making them a reliable option even in adverse weather conditions.
The detachable headstrap allows even more flexibility, so they can be worn in various ways. The case and cloth included for safekeeping are an added bonus. However, one minor drawback is that they might not be suitable for everyone, as some users may find them a bit too snug.
Overall, I highly recommend these Cute Safety Glasses for anyone looking for reliable and adaptable eye protection.

🔗Durable Smoke Safety Glasses with Green Lens for Ultimate Protection

I recently tried the Bouton 249-5907-207 Traditional Safety Glasses, and I must say, they're a game-changer. The smoke frame and green IR 3.0 lenses offer sturdy protection without sacrificing style. The built-in wire mesh side shields gave me a sense of security when working in my workshop, knowing my eyes were well-guarded.
One aspect that stood out was the molded nose bridge design, which felt comfortable and fit my face perfectly. The U-Fit spatula temples were a nice touch, allowing for a custom fit that didn't cause any discomfort throughout the day. Despite a few minor scratches from everyday use, the lenses remained scratch-resistant and clear.
While these glasses are heavy-duty and built to last, I did notice that the side shields could be more robust. A few occasions required me to adjust them so they would clip in properly. All in all, the Bouton 249-5907-207 Traditional Safety Glasses are a solid choice for anyone who wants the perfect blend of style and safety.

I was thrilled to try out these SQIMZAR Safety Glasses Goggles, especially after hearing about them from a friend who uses them at her nursing job. I appreciated the unique side shield design that not only protected my eyes from dust, pollen, and other particles but also kept them from getting irritated by saliva or blue light. The anti-scratch feature was a game-changer, ensuring that my vision stayed clear even after prolonged use.
What really stood out to me was the comfort level. These glasses were lightweight and designed to fit snugly without slipping, making them perfect for a variety of situations – from working in a lab to shooting a ball. And in case you're wondering, yes, they're great for activities like playing video games or watching TV, too.
Of course, no product is perfect, and I did notice that the anti-fog coating wore off over time, but overall, I was impressed with the comfort, protection, and style these glasses offered. If you're looking for stylish and effective safety eyewear, these SQIMZAR goggles are definitely worth considering.

The Bolle Tracker Safety Glasses Twilight are the ultimate combination of style and protection, perfect for any outdoor enthusiast. I discovered these glasses a few weeks ago and they have seriously become a staple in my daily routine. The best part? My entire family can use them too.
From the moment I put them on, I felt the comfort envelop my face. The adjustable head strap meant that not only was I protected, but I was also comfortable all day long. The frame material and eye seal are exceptional when it comes to blocking out dust and other particles.
The 99.99% UVA and UVB light absorption feature is another outstanding highlight of these glasses, keeping my eyes safe even on the brightest days. And let's not forget the anti-fog and anti-scratch coating on both sides – what a game-changer!
Now, while these glasses are perfect in many ways, I did notice that they tend to fog up a bit after long hours of use. However, this doesn't take away from the overall amazing experience I've had with the Bolle Tracker Safety Glasses Twilight. If you're looking for a reliable pair of safety glasses that also fit perfectly and look fantastic, look no further – these are the ones!

🔗Cute Cat Eye Safety Glasses with Clear Anti-Fog Lens

Working in a woodshop as an amateur carpenter, I often found myself squinting through my old worn-out safety glasses that felt more like an accessory than a genuine protective measure. So when I stumbled upon Stoggles' Cat Eye Safety Glasses with Clear Anti-Fog Lens, I couldn't resist giving them a try.
As a first-time user, I was immediately drawn to the unique design that added a retro touch to the safety aspect. The protective barrier provided a sense of security and confidence while working, and the cat eye shape was a nice little detail that made the glasses stand out in a sea of regular safety eyewear.
One feature that truly impressed me was the lens' ability to block blue light. As someone who spends hours in front of computer screens and smartphones, this was a game-changer. My eyes felt less strained, and I appreciated being able to focus on work for extended periods without feeling the need to take breaks as often.
However, there was one downside to using these safety glasses. Although they boasted the ability to block 100% of UV rays, I noticed a very slight yellowish tint when looking at the sun. It wasn't enough to interfere with my work, but it was noticeable nonetheless.
Despite that minor inconvenience, I found the Stoggles Cat Eye Safety Glasses to be comfortable and functional. They stayed in place without any issues and were a breeze to clean. The frames were lightweight and sturdy, and I appreciated the added protection the side and top shields offered.
In conclusion, the Stoggles Cat Eye Safety Glasses with Clear Anti-Fog Lens proved to be a reliable and fashionable choice for someone like me who needed a functional safety eyewear solution without compromising on style. While they weren't perfect, the pros greatly outweighed the cons, making them a worthwhile investment for anyone looking for both style and safety.

The ERB Safety Lucy Girl Power at WorkTM Safety Glasses are a stylish and practical solution for women who need to wear safety eyewear. As a reviewer, I have been using these glasses for a while now, and they have made a significant difference in my daily life.
What sets these safety glasses apart from others is their ultra-lightweight frameless design. The one-piece, hard-coated polycarbonate lens not only offers excellent wraparound protection but also resists scratches perfectly. The 9.5 base curve provides an excellent wraparound structure for side protection, and the integrated nose pad ensures a comfortable, secure fit.
A feature that I particularly appreciate is the IPROTECT style, which makes these safety glasses an excellent choice for ladies who want to look stylish while wearing them. The sunglasses come with a 99% UVA and UVB protection, complying with the ANSI Z87.1 standard for high-impact protection.
Despite the many positive aspects of these safety glasses, there are a few cons. For instance, they do not have an adjustable temple, and they do not come with anti-fog or anti-scratch features. Moreover, the sunglasses have a clear, smoke, and indoooutdoor mirror lens options, and they are only available in a clear and smoke lens color options.
Overall, the ERB Safety Lucy Pink Safety Glasses are a reliable and stylish option for women who need safety eyewear in their daily lives. The combination of comfort, style, and safety features makes these sunglasses a great choice for anyone looking for practical and chic safety eyewear.

Just the other day, I found myself in need of protective eyewear for a project I was working on. As a craftsman, I knew the importance of keeping my eyes safe from dust, debris, and other hazards. That's when I stumbled across the Titus Retro Style Safety Glasses.
These glasses offered a unique blend of style and function that caught my eye right away. The black impact-resistant ABS frame, UV400 shatterproof polycarbonate lenses, and stainless steel side protection provided the perfect combination of protection and style. However, the Titus Retro Style Safety Glasses aren't without their drawbacks. While I loved the side shields, they did create a slight amount of excess wind around my face. The lenses were also a bit darker than I preferred, which took some getting used to.
Overall, I found the Titus Retro Style Safety Glasses to be a great investment. They provided the perfect balance of style, function, and protection, making them a great choice for any project. Despite the minor drawbacks, I can confidently say that these glasses exceeded my expectations and delivered a high-quality solution for keeping my eyes safe.

Has anyone else with a high sensitivity to stimulants tried Desoxyn, and if so how did it go for you?
I can't tolerate anything higher than 3.75mg of Adderall IR (or similar effective dose for all other available meds, yes all) but the 5mg Desoxyn tablet seems to be roughly equivalent to 10mg of Adderall IR so I'm worried that would prevent me from being able to use it.

Originally set to face Randy Orton for the United States Title, Mysterio's journey took an unexpected turn as he and his fellow LWO members were drafted to Raw, setting the stage for a clash with the dominant IC Champion. Seizing the opportunity, Gunther personally challenged Mysterio to a title bout at Backlash, eager to test his mettle against the high-flying veteran.
Rey showcased his unparalleled agility, executing his signature maneuvers with precision. However, Gunther's brute strength and technical prowess proved to be formidable obstacles, as he punished Mysterio with bone-crushing chops and overpowering displays of dominance. Despite Rey's valiant efforts, Gunther's mastery of the ring ultimately prevailed, cementing his record-setting reign as Intercontinental Champion and leaving Mysterio to regroup and plot his next move in the tumultuous world of professional wrestling.
Winner and still Intercontinental Champion: Gunther

The Final Testament vs. The Pride, 4-on-4 Tag Team Match
The fierce rivalry between The Final Testament and The Pride reached its apex after months of heated battles on SmackDown. The anticipated showdown between Karrion Kross and Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 40 was marred by another explosive altercation between the two formidable factions. Scarlett had long been the secret weapon for The Final Testament, tipping the scales in their favor. However, the tide turned when Bianca Belair made a dramatic entrance, coming to the aid of her husband Montez Ford and finally evening the odds. With a jaw-dropping WrestleMania moment, Belair showcased her immense strength by hoisting Rezar up for a KOD. In the ensuing weeks, the bitter rivals continued to unleash chaos upon each other, culminating in a 4-on-4 clash at Backlash. The Street Profits' triumph over The Authors of Pain for the WWE Tag Team Titles on the final SmackDown before the event added another layer of intensity to the impending showdown. Ultimately, it was The Pride who emerged victorious at Backlash, putting an end to the relentless feud and solidifying their dominance in the squared circle.
Winners: The Pride

Naomi (c) vs. Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship
Following Rhea Ripley's unfortunate injury, she was forced to suddenly vacate her title. In a desperate bid to determine the new champion, WWE borrowed a unique matchup from TNA, the 8-4-1 match. Naomi, 'Michin' Mia Yim, Tiffany Stratton, and Bianca Belair clashed against Dakota Kai, Liv Morgan, Zelina Vega, and Nia Jax in a fierce eight-woman tag team encounter. Emerging victorious, Naomi, Yim, Stratton, and Belair advanced to the fatal four-way showdown. However, Liv Morgan's determination to reclaim her momentum led to her ruthlessly eliminating Mia Yim from contention, setting the stage for a thrilling conclusion. As the dust settled, Belair delivered her devastating KOD to Stratton, only for Naomi to seize the opportunity, diving in to pin Belair and clinch the Women's World Championship. Liv Morgan, driven by her WrestleMania 40 defeat, wasted no time in demanding a title shot, which Naomi accepted for a showdown at Backlash.
In a match fueled by the desire to leave France as champion, Naomi showcased her resilience, ultimately turning Liv's obLIVion into her own submission finisher, The Amazing Spider-Twist, to secure the victory and retain her hard-won title, cementing her reign atop the women's division.
Winner and still Women's World Champion: Naomi

Phenomenal Nightmares (c) vs. New Catch Republic for the World Tag Team Championship
The rivalry between World Tag Team Champions Phenomenal Nightmares and New Catch Republic intensified following their epic clash at WrestleMania 40. Sensing Pete Dunne's simmering resentment after their defeat, AJ Styles cautioned Cody Rhodes about the dangerous threat Dunne posed, igniting an internal rivalry between Styles and Dunne. Despite Rhodes' acknowledgment of Dunne's potential danger, Styles remained acutely aware of the looming threat.
At Backlash, in a highly anticipated WrestleMania rematch, the technical prowess of both teams delivered another masterpiece. As the bout reached its climax, Dunne sought to unleash his devastating Bitter End, only for Rhodes to counter with a lightning-quick Cross Rhodes, turning the tables in their favor. Recognizing the opportunity to exorcise his demons, Rhodes tagged Styles into the fray, urging him to vanquish Dunne once and for all. With determination in his eyes, Styles soared into action, delivering a thunderous Phenomenal Forearm to secure the victory and retain their coveted titles. As Rhodes and Tyler Bate exchanged a show of mutual respect, so too did Styles and Dunne, albeit with a lingering tension hinting at future confrontations. With the chapter closed, for now, the Phenomenal Nightmares stood tall, their unity strengthened as they looked towards future challenges on the horizon.
Winners and still World Tag Team Champions: Phenomenal Nightmares

Jey Uso vs. Solo Sikoa for the Universal Championship
The rivalry between Universal Champion Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa erupted after Jey dethroned Roman Reigns, claiming both the Universal Championship and the title of Tribal Chief. Paul Heyman and Solo confronted Jey, seething with resentment and arguing that Solo was the rightful heir to Roman's legacy, not Jey. 'Main Event' Jey fired back, asserting that he earned his position through blood, sweat, and tears, and that true leadership is fought for, not handed down. The tension escalated when Jimmy Uso was drafted to Raw, leaving Jey to fend for himself on SmackDown.
At Backlash, Jey valiantly defended his title against Solo in a fierce and emotional match, ultimately securing the victory. However, the celebration was cut short by the shocking debut of the Guerillas of Destiny, Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa, who blindsided Jey and aligned with Solo and Heyman. Standing over the fallen champion, they held up one finger each, signaling a new and formidable alliance within The Bloodline, and making it clear that Jey's battle for dominance was far from over.
Winner and still Universal Champion: Jey Uso

Drew McIntyre (c) vs. LA Knight for the WWE Championship
McIntyre finally achieved his dream of winning a world championship in front of a roaring crowd at WrestleMania 40 after defeating LA Knight. However, during his celebratory promo on the following Raw, the WWE Universe, instead of cheering for the new champion, erupted into chants of "LA Knight," replacing the infamous "WHAT" chants with a resounding "YEAH!" This blatant show of favoritism irked McIntyre, who perceived it as the ultimate sign of disrespect. Determined to silence the disrespectful chants, Drew challenged LA Knight to a match at Backlash, vowing to put an end to the "YEAH" chants once and for all. The situation escalated as the crowd's enthusiasm for Knight intensified, finding ways to chant "YEAH" even to the tune of McIntyre's entrance music, further infuriating the champion.
In the highly anticipated main event of Backlash, McIntyre and Knight clashed in a fierce battle. Despite Knight's valiant efforts, McIntyre ultimately triumphed, retaining his WWE Championship. In a defiant gesture to the crowd, Drew performed the "suck it" gesture, only for the arena to erupt in pandemonium as static blared and CM Punk made his shocking return in France at Backlash. The crowd went absolutely wild as Punk entered the ring, smiling at both the fans and McIntyre. The show concluded with a tense staredown between the returning icon and the reigning champion, setting the stage for an even more electrifying chapter in WWE history.
Winner and still WWE Champion: Drew McIntyre

2024.05.26 04:47 EggThatCenturyEgg My father tells me I need to work on my depression first before HRT

hi, my name is Alyx. I am 17 years old and I have been having the discussion about hormone replacement therapy with my parents for the past couple months. While I am not able to get HRT in my state currently, my goal is to later on get it as soon as I turn 18. With the discussions on the possibilities of getting hrt I have been having with my father is specific, my father has been looping back around to the idea of trying more medications to try and fix my depression. His goal is for me to try my best to find other options to help relieve my depression but I feel as if after having gone through lexapro, Prozac, cymbalta, adderall, busperone, and abilify (all in that order, I’m also confused why they gave me adderal for depression) from my doctor, with no good effects from either medication with the months I spent on all of them, I feel like giving up on medication to help fix my depression and I feel as if one of the only way that could help my depression is making the step to properly (in my personal belief for myself) transition which includes getting hrt. My parents are supportive of me being trans, but I worry they don’t truly know/understand enough about my want to transition. I want to believe my father in the idea that I should work on finding other medication before I make the big step forwards hrt because it is a good idea, but I feel helpless given the ammount of meds I’ve gone through with nothing good coming out of them. I don’t know what to do with myself besides just play the waiting game for hrt as I feel lost in trying to fix my depression. I know HRT is not a magical fix for depression, but I know pushing myself forwards with a transition will help my depression immensely. Is there any advice anyone could give me or give my parents that I could share with them?

2024.05.26 04:26 jennih87 Negative effects N/a

I don't know if there is a chemical imbalance in my body or my what but I'm starting to wonder if this is common.. to sum it up I've never had a bad side effects starting a new med, a side effect from just stopping cold turkey or withdrawal. It's not a horrible thing obviously but it makes me wonder because i like the idea of your body being able to tell you "we dont like this, foreign, or TOO MUCH! Like when you drink to much and you get sick and throw up or feel awful the next day (which I have experienced)
Below I explain.
I don't think I have ever had any "note worthy" negative side effects from any medication I've ever started. Whether it was starting a new anti depressants or anti anxiety medication to insomnia or severe pain medications.
I didn't realize how common it was (especially for medications I take specifically) for people to have absolutely horrible initial start up side effects or increase dosage side effects or withdrawal up until A few months ago I started an account here on reddit and joined the groups for my medications.
I've also never have never experienced withdrawal from any medications.. I mean in a way it's a positive thing because some people have a horrid time trying to start or stop a medication that was prescribed to them and I wouldn't wish what I read about on anyone but I also wish my body was a little bit more finicky about what is in its system obviously.
Anyways...
For instance gabbapentin I was taking 2700mg a day and i ran out, thinking i had another bottle in my cabinet, only to find i didn't It was a week before I could get to a pharmacy and I had no side effects from not taking it. But it also never gave me any "mind altering effects" other than helping my anxiety somewhat.
I've been on benzos for extended times before and decided to just stop taking them and it didn't bother me. No withdrawal. Same thing with opiates. I was on percocet for 7 mo and then just stopped.
I was having a hard time finding medication that worked for me in the anxiety, insomnia and depressiom categories so i took a Genesight testing (dna medication metabolism test) and we found that i, in general, matabolize medications quite quickly which answered why, even at my size (5 foot and 110 pounds) pain medication and my adderall always wore off quite fast and even at a higher dose or extended release forms.. Medications do what they are suppose to do for me and i feel the effects opioids, benzodiazepines and barbiturates so it's not like my system doesn't recognize them at all or have no effect on my system what so ever but it still makes me wonder why I don't have adverse initial side effects getting on a medication or withdrawal or side effects getting off a medication.
Another for instance- I read and hear horrible things about Viibryd (an anti depressant/anxiety) and people getting on it and the side effects they have the first few weeks initially or after an increase are intense and miserable they barely makw it through that initial first few weeks until their system nornalizes. I was put on 20mg and then bumped to 40mg 2 weeks later with no side effects ( other than a migraine but that was possibly due to the week and little sleep I was having at the time and bloated stomach but it was also the week prior to my monthly)
Does anyone else have a system like this? Where u have little to no adverse, bad side effects from medications starting, being on or tor have no withdrawal or issues getting off a medication?

2024.05.26 04:14 pinkpanda376 Am I able to ask psychiatrist for labs?

28F, 5'8, 160lb, caucasian, located in TN.
Complaint: Headaches for a couple of months
I have ADHD and currently take both Guanfacine ER 2mg and Adderall IR 10mg for that
No smoking, drinking, drugs.
I have been having persistent headaches for a couple of months, to the point where I was taking something for it daily (which I have stopped doing because I enjoy having a functioning set of liver and kidneys). I know the person I need to see for this is a neurologist, however I cannot get an appointment ANYWHERE. I have tried all doctors in my area that my insurance is contracted with, and nothing is available as far out as the calendar goes (which is August on my end).
My psychiatrist, who I will be seeing on Wednesday, is a former(? unsure if former or current) neurologist. I'm sure I would need some labs to help diagnose whatever is causing the headaches... is it reasonable of me to ask him if he'd be willing to try and diagnose them, and if not, at least order some labs that way I have them ready when I'm eventually able to get to a neuro specialist?

2024.05.26 04:05 viewbob Am I the only one who likes the original Murmur CD?

I'm a bit of an audiophile. I've heard every opinion about the original IRS CD of Murmur: It's muddy, it's brittle, it's lifeless, it's harsh, it was responsible for my grandpa's death, etc. Point is, I seem to be the only person who thinks it sounds great. Pretty much every remaster or alternative version I've heard robs the album of the sense of space and atmosphere that oozes from the OG CD. Lord knows I love bass, but the MFSL especially doesn't work for me. It's more accurate to what's on the tapes, but the actual sound is very saturated and honestly fatiguing in a way that the IRS disc just isn't for me. The original's wispy high end and the more tamed drum sound make the album super crankable in headphones. Any other release at the same volume makes me feel like my head's being squeezed. I can also pick out individual instruments more easily on the IRS CD. Even if other versions sound better in parts, any time the music gets loud it becomes too cluttered. The OG is wide open and natural sounding all the way through.
Maybe I'm just coping because I don't want to shell out for the MFSL :P Only gripe with the original is the big-ass COMPACT DISC DIGITAL AUDIO logo on the front. Like you weren't going to know what you were looking at unless they put it on the cover.
Tell me what you think. What's your favorite version?

2024.05.26 02:58 jsimait1 The Enzyme: The Power Within

Cecilia Clark, known to the world as The Enzyme, watched the flames consume her childhood home. The fire raged uncontrollably, a manifestation of the raw, untamed power coursing through her veins. As the house crumbled into ashes, she knew there was no turning back. Her life as she had known it was over.
Desperate and alone, Cecilia found refuge at the Xavier Institute for Gifted Children, a sanctuary for mutants. There, she was welcomed by Professor Charles Xavier himself, who saw potential in her that others might have feared. The Institute became her new home, a place where she could learn to control her powers and perhaps, find a sense of belonging.
Among her new peers, Cecilia struggled to fit in. Her abilities were unlike anything the other students had seen. While others harnessed their powers with practice and discipline, Cecilia’s seemed to surge from within her, wild and unpredictable. Despite her best efforts, she often felt like an outsider.
One person who took a particular interest in Cecilia was Hank McCoy, also known as Beast. Fascinated by her unique abilities, he conducted numerous experiments to understand the nature of her powers. The results were astonishing. Cecilia's mutation allowed her to manipulate energy at a molecular level, effectively making her one of the most powerful beings at the Institute. Her powers seemed to defy the limits of even the most advanced technology, including Cerebro.
As days turned into weeks, Cecilia's frustration grew. She longed to prove herself, to show that she was more than just another mutant. Her thoughts turned to Jean Grey, the host of the Phoenix Force, an entity of immense cosmic power. If she could best Jean, she reasoned, she would finally earn the respect she craved.
One fateful evening, Cecilia confronted Jean Grey in the Institute's courtyard. "I need to know," she said, her voice trembling with determination. "I need to know if my powers are stronger than yours."
Jean, sensing the turmoil within Cecilia, tried to reason with her. "Power isn't everything, Cecilia. Control, compassion, and responsibility are just as important."
But Cecilia would not be dissuaded. She unleashed her power, a blinding surge of energy that crackled and roared. Jean had no choice but to respond. She transformed into the Phoenix, her eyes glowing with fiery intensity.
The battle was unlike anything the Institute had ever seen. Energy beams collided, creating shockwaves that shattered windows and shook the very foundations of the mansion. Cecilia's power, driven by her intense emotions, seemed limitless. For every attack Jean launched, Cecilia countered with equal or greater force.
As the fight intensified, Jean's frustration grew. The Phoenix Force flared, and in a moment of unchecked rage, she transformed into the Dark Phoenix, a being of pure, destructive energy. But even the Dark Phoenix's might was no match for Cecilia's fury. The Catalyst within her surged, pushing back the cosmic entity. Jean, overwhelmed by the sheer force of Cecilia's power, fell to the ground, unconscious.
Cecilia stood over her, panting heavily, her eyes wild with victory. She raised her hand, ready to deliver the final blow, when a blast of red energy struck the ground between them. Cyclops, Jean's long-time partner, stood ready to defend her.
"That's enough, Cecilia," he warned, his voice steady but filled with anger. "This isn't the way."
Cecilia hesitated, her rage flickering. The realization of what she had nearly done washed over her. Without another word, she turned and fled, leaving the Institute behind.
She knew she couldn't stay. The Institute was no longer a refuge but a reminder of her uncontrollable power and the destruction it could cause. She needed to find a place where she could start anew, where she could learn to control her abilities without endangering others.
Cecilia’s journey led her across the Atlantic to Europe. She traveled through bustling cities and tranquil countryside, searching for a place where she could begin again. Eventually, she found herself in the Swiss Alps, a place of serene beauty and isolation. It was here, in the shadow of the towering mountains, that she decided to rebuild her life.
In the quiet solitude of the Alps, Cecilia found peace. She dedicated herself to mastering her powers, meditating on the lessons she had learned at the Institute. She knew that her journey was far from over, but for the first time, she felt a glimmer of hope. She was The Enzyme, the Catalyst, and she would forge her own path, not defined by her past, but by the choices she made in the future.

I am currently on adderall 3 times a day. First 2 doses are 20 mg each and my 3rd dose is 10 mg. I have been thinking about switching over to mydayis for extended coverage throughout the day. Anyone got opinions and or personal experiences?? Also how “effective” is mydayis compared to IR 3 times a day?

2024.05.26 01:58 JayAaronNY New Product Easter Eggs: Water Leak Detector, Universal Remote, Roller Shades 😍

Switchbot and home automation enthusiast here.
I was browsing the support pages and shopping menus because I’m interested in the new Battery Circulator Fan (I can’t find anyone who has done an in-depth review on this product yet) when I spotted several other products hidden in plain sight!

Here’s What I Found:

1. SMART ROLLER SHADES (TESTING)

The app pinged that they are testing smart roller shades.
I don’t know or sure, but from what I could find, it seems that they might be looking into somewhat adjustable widths for these shades, and the ability to use voice and/or remote control for them.
It’s likely that that they are considering (or considering narrowing down) on available styles, particularly narrowing down on different styles, especially blackout, standard rolls, and reverse rolls.
This would be HUGE depending on pricing because currently, IKEA has been one of the only viable budget options for smart roller shades but, for reasons I won’t get into here, they didn’t seem like a smart choice.
As someone who uses Switchbot’s retrofit options (blind tilts & curtain 3), I’m eagerly anticipating any new products that are full, smart window treatment solutions. Super excited.

2. UNIVERSAL REMOTE

This is super exciting. There’s already a support page up for a universal smart remote. 🫨
For those who don’t know, universal smart remotes are a bit of an untapped market after the Logitech Harmony Elite was discontinued.
As much as I like all my little remotes, voice commands, automations, etc…I am in dire need of a universal remote as to serve as a master remote.
Yes, I know I can use my phone, but it’s not the same! 😅
It seems to be planned to serve as full or partial replacements for IR, Switchbot, and Bluetooth devices. The IR functions listed are currently (Firmware 1.6) for TV, Air conditioners, and Lights.
But by the end of June (Firmware 1.7), they plan on supporting IR categories of “others,” fan, dvd players, streamers, projectors, robot vacuum cleaners, and air purifiers.
Currently supported Supported Switchbot Devices for “on/off” or “open/close” commands are: Bot, Plug Mini, Curtain, Curtain 3, Blind Tilt, Ceiling Light, Ceiling Light Pro, LED Strip Light.
By end of June, those devices should also have their brightness/color temp functions supported (for the lights) and the percent-open/closed functions supported (for the curtains or blinds)
Moreover, by end of June, two SwitchBot devices will be added for support: the Mini Robot Vac K10+ (for clean/recharge) and the Battery Circulator Fan (for on/off).
Also listed under “Bluetooth” is “Fire TV” and “Apple TV” with a check mark next to supported device by the end of June.
A separate section says that smart and manual matching is available for TV, Lights, and Air Conditioners, but “Learn Buttons” is available only for TV and Lights currently.
Also unfortunate is the lack of support for long-press buttons like “volume up” BUT they say they plan on a firmware update by the end of the year.
The remote’s max IR distance (when directly pointing at device) is stated to be 13.5 meters (roughly 44ft 4in).
There is a device limit: “25 devices (including 10 IR remotes and 15 Bluetooth communication SwitchBot devices) and 10 SwitchBot scenes” with a note that scene management will require a Hub Mini or Hub 2.
Interestingly, there is reference to a “touch wheel” that is said to NOT be a “touch screen” though it may replicate the functions via the wheel.
I can’t find this product listed yet so I don’t know what it might look like. And I’m confused as to why it’s refencing the product as if it exists already…but I’m excited about the possibility.

3. WATER LEAK DETECTORS

I see a water leak detector listing for $17.99 (US) and a “coming soon” water leak detector with sensor cable for $19.99 (US).
Both check for drips and immersion, are battery powered with 2 AAA batteries (2 year life for standby mode) and connect up to 120m. Oddly, the listing disappears on one browser, but reappears on my iPhone app. Weird.
The up to 100dB alarms can be quieted through the app (which can’t be said for said for some competitor products). And there are several ways of getting alerts. Alarms can be set to three levels or muted.
Both connect via 2.4G wi-fi and Bluetooth. They have a height of 29mm and are IP67 waterproof.
The detector sensor cable will apparently be able to monitor WATER LEVELS and has a length of 1m. Its advertised use case is for fish tank automations. Water level threshold is .5mm minimum.
It says no hub needed. But I’m not sure if some functions require a hub.
There’s a YouTube Video Introducing the Water Leak Detector up from 4 days ago so…I guess it’s coming soon?
Seems silly to attempt to get one without the cable…but…self-control is hard.

TLDR

Anyway, so basically there’s a water leak detector with cable on the horizon, testing on smart roller shades, and a possible universal remote.
Any one know anything about these?
Also: what’s up with the Battery Circulator Fan? I can’t find a single in-depth review on these and I’m curious how they compare to the air circulation capabilities of brands like Vornado & Dreo.
Whatever the case, all of these look like neat things that I’m eager to jump on. Some cool stuff might be coming!

2024.05.26 01:24 Chozo003 Calling all Kanto Collectors: I made a spreadsheet of all available alt art/illustration rare Kanto Pokemon to help track your collection, complete with progress bar and a binder view that updates when you fill in the checkboxes!

Hey all!
Like countless others I collected as a kid but hadn't thought about the TCG in over 20 years... until I heard about S&V 151. I couldn't believe how amazing the new Illustration Rares in the set looked (the Poliwhirl in particular absolutely floored me), and soon learned that a good chunk of the other Kanto Pokémon had received similar treatment in other recent sets. I hadn't even finished 151 yet, but I knew what I had to do: catch 'em all.
I obsessively researched what was available, and after finding that nobody else had created a good master list, I created a spreadsheet to track everything. In an edit to a previous post I made on this topic I mentioned that anyone else with the same goal could DM me for the link. Well, since then I've been getting DMs pretty much every single day, so I finally decided to clean it up a bit, add some fun features, and share the link publicly. Here it is:
Chozo003's List of Kanto Illustration Rares
About the Spreadsheet/How to Use It
The Criteria
Future Updates
Notes on Current Version (25 May 2024)
That's everything! Let me know if you think I've missed anything or have any suggestions on how to better organize the spreadsheet. I hope some of you enjoy using this tool, and happy collecting!

2024.05.26 00:40 thekatwom4n Horrible experience and it’s only been a month

It’s been a month of .25 wegovy and I’ve always had stomach issues but this is just awful. I think I’ve even gained weight, not lost. For context, I’m 5’7 went from 178 to 183 and idk if it’s water weight but ugh.
I’m so nauseous eating just a small salad or an apple or carrots and hummus. I eat so healthy. I’m throwing up things from two days ago. I’m throwing up twice a day. I’m tired all the time.
Not to mention the bloating. I feel pregnant that’s how bloated I get. And the diarrhea omg. If I wanted this much diarrhea, I’d take 6 of the oxy powder magnesium pills the night before.
I walk at least 8000 steps a day and go to the gym. It wears me out and doesn’t help. I had more energy for the gym before this.
I’m better with my coffee and adderall. At least I have more motivation. I miss coffee. Coffee is making me more sick than ever on this and my adderall isn’t working.
How do I flush this out of my system quicker? I just don’t find this to be the right way to lose weight. Gastric emptying should be quicker to lose weight. If y’all have an opportunity to watch the gut documentary on Netflix l: hack your health: the secrets of your gut on Netflix. It explains a lot
Malnutrition isn’t the way to lose weight. I’d rather spend money on supplements, vitamins and the gym than be miserable like this. I don’t wanna hang in there. I’m worried what the after effects will be. Anyone else have a similar experience? How long til I can get this out of my system?

Hey guys, I’m felling pretty stir crazy today. I feel like I have lost something and am constantly searching for it all day. My body is searching for how to refill my dopamine receptors. What I used to do was binge adderall, alcohol, nicotine, pornography and fapping on the weekends. This is the first weekend that I’m trying to give all of it up except for nicotine. I don’t have any friends to go hang out with or a SO, so I’m curious if you guys can think of any other ways I can healthily relieve these feelings of being lost?

2024.05.25 23:46 Bad-Idea7432 Unexplained Stomach Issues.. Help?

I'm 35f and currently take 30mg Adderall XR once a day (since about four months ago), and Microgestin (birth control) once a day (for several years).
About a year ago, I suddenly developed an extreme backache and stomach ache at the same time, out of no where. It was so bad that I was vomiting from the pain, but didn't go to the ER because they're terrible here, and I thought I had somehow thrown my back out. I ended up laying on the floor, with my legs up against the wall. It alleviated the pain and I fell asleep like that. I was fine the next day. This ended up happening several more times, every three or four months. I usually did not throw up, but everything else was the same each time.
Eventually, I thought it might have been my pancreas, so I changed my diet to low-fat, limited caffeine, and increased water. It still happened. All the same, I read that it can be diagnosed through a blood test, so I thought I would go to urgent care the next time and have them verify it.
Well, it happened again last weekend. It started on Friday, and pain was unbearable. I went to an urgent care partnered with the hospital so that I could get labs. I could barely walk, I had a temperature of 99.0, I was very weak, pale, and shaky. They did a urine test, blood test, and an ultrasound of my gallbladder.
The urine test noted yellow and clear, with traces of blood. Bacteria was present and I had an elevated RBC of 5. Everything else was normal.
The blood test showed WBC of 16.5, HGB of 11.7, MHC of 25.5, MCHC of 31.1, abs neutrophils of 10.3. Everything else across the board was normal.
The ultrasound was unremarkable for gallbladder, liver, pancreas, common bile duct, and right kidney.
They sent me home with a referral to a GI specialist. The pain worsened overnight, and I ended up going to the ER. They repeated the urine and blood tests there, and had the same results. They also sent me home.
By Monday morning , I was feeling better, but surviving off of saltines and water. I managed a painful bowel movement Monday evening, and have had constipation that seems to be slowly improving each day. My stomach and back still ached, but it was bearable. It is now Saturday, and I'm still not back to normal. My stomach and back wake me up all night, no matter how I lay, but it's not agony like it was last weekend. I've cut out caffeine and soda, fatty foods, etc. I'm not seeing any improvement. Today, my stomach has been aching all day. I've had a bowel movement, but it feels like I still have to go. I feel weak again and have cold sweats.
I don't know if this is important or not, but my daughter just came down with the stomach flu today, with diarrhea and vomiting. I'm not sure if I have a different version, or something else completely. Either way, I'm at a loss as to what's wrong with me!! I don't know if it's constipation, IBS, or what. I'm afraid to take Pepto and make the constipation worse. I'm afraid to try a laxative and risk something going wrong that way. Any ideas?? These issues have never lasted so long, nor did they ever include constipation, weakness, cold sweats, stomach pain all day, etc.

2024.05.25 23:36 TuckTuckCanadaGoose Aspiring Tuckie - What are my chances?

As my name might suggest, Tuck is my dream school. I’m going to apply this fall and I’d really appreciate some advice from any Tuckies on what I can do to have a shot.
Brief Overview: - 3.89 double major political science and international studies with a minor in history - Internship with large international organization - Will matriculate with 3 years FTE at a fintech company - GMAT TBD - Goal is MBB
Undergrad: - 3.89 GPA, double major political science and international studies with a minor in history. Originally intended a triple major but scholarship wouldn’t cover dual degree. Went to a no-name undergrad, small school ~4k students. Chose school due to large scholarship and I needed to pay for college. Was a D1 athlete freshman and sophomore year, and captain sophomore year. Ended after 2 years due to covid and a knee surgery. Did 2 notable research projects and 2 internships, I’ll cover those more below. Was asked to trial a BS-MA program with our sister school and was offered a full scholarship to finish, ultimately didn’t. I was on the deans list 8 semesters, graduated suma cum laude, and had the highest GPA for major in international studies, and for minor in history.
Internships: - Had 2 internships in college, both during my junior summer into senior year. The first was with a cancer hospital doing community engagement work. The second was with a notable international organization working on ESG grant proposals for impact investors. Because of Covid the second was remote and I was able to do it for 14 weeks, the other one was local and I did it for 20 weeks.
Research: - During undergrad I did 2 research projects. The first for an NGO on global homelessness pre and during covid to make recommendations where they should focus their resources. It was part of a class and I was the lead researcher and presenter. The NGO is part of the international organization I interned for. The other project was an independent project for the same NGO researching ways for technology to connect youth experiencing homelessness to social services. I got to present the findings at a large international event.
FTE: - I’ve had 1 job since graduating and will matriculate with 3 years 2 months. The company is a private FinTech worth around 1-2 billion. You may or may not know it, but you would know their clients. Since being there I’ve had 2 promotions and each promotion was both vertical and horizontal, so I’ve been around the company working in operations, product development, and now with clients. My job is very data heavy and I work with large name institutional and fintech clients leading projects for many of them.
Extracurriculars: - During college junior and senior year I tutored poli sci students in entry classes, and taught swim lessons all through college. Since college I haven’t really done anything and have been focused on my job.
GMAT Focus: - TBD. As of now, I’m thinking a 645-665. I’m going to take the test multiple times. Shooting for a 675-695. Quant is not my strong point and based on my practice tests I’m expecting my score to be carried by VR and IR.
STG: - MBB consulting focusing on public sector engagements.
LTG: - Work at an international governmental organization.
LORs: - Will be from my current supervisor and former supervisor. I’ve given both a very detailed write up of everything provided by Tuck on great LORs.
Why MBA/Now: - During my internship at the IO, I got the opportunity to work with a McKinsey consultant. After talking to her I knew I wanted to do consulting because I wanted to work on public sector engagements but also know I get bored and like constant change. Her advice was go to a quant job and then a top MBA. Went to my current employer, which I always knew would just be a stop. I like what I do but it’s never been what I wanted to do, nor do I get the same satisfaction as when I was working on public sector engagements. I want to go get the MBA now to transition back towards public sector work but in a consulting role.
Why Tuck: - This post is long enough and this would be written until the end of time. In short, trust me, I want Tuck. I’ve visited, talked to students, alumni, faculty, admissions, been on online events, and will be continuing to consistently engage; if I get in I’m going. If we’re talking the language of business I’ll protect Tuck’s yield and I’m a guaranteed 200k.
Based on all this, what do you think my chances are, and what’s your advice to strengthen my profile? How do I join the Canada Goose Army? Any and all advice is welcome, thanks for reading this long post and your help.

2024.05.25 23:29 WasdCritics Children of the Sun

Children of the Sun
Children of the Sun, the first title by René Rother, a German game developer. The work is published by Devolver Digital, famous for investing in promising indies. Featuring an unnamed girl with a dark past, the game is a 3D puzzle game divided into stages, which doesn't shy away from telling a bloody and visceral story.
The main character has the power of telekinesis, so she can freely control different objects around her, including the bullet from a rifle she owns. The idea is set, one shot to conquer each stage, after the shot you need to control the bullet in different ways to kill all the enemies, this is when the puzzle comes into play, the elements regarding which mechanics to use, which enemy to kill first and the possibility of trajectories are taken into account to complete the stages and advance in the game.
The game's story is told through short cinematics at the beginning of certain stages, through which you can understand more about the cult the character is chasing and the motivations behind it all. The dynamic between the cult and the character's parents, as well as the hatred for the leader, is made explicit and gives meaning to the cachina spread by the girl the player controls. This girl has a very impersonal relationship, because not only does she not speak, but her full face is only shown at the end of the game, and it's even difficult to understand the character's gender until a considerable part of the game.
The setting of the work is incredible, the idea of a religious cult that seeks the “daughter of the light” (Children of the Sun) and that worships a pagan God is conveyed naturally in an impeccable way. The stages, with their supernatural elements, be they priest enemies or floating objects, introduce the player to the supernatural, which is also directly related to the protagonist's power. The setting manages to convey what is most important in this work, which relies solely on the stages and short cinematics to tell the story: feelings of anger, hatred and contempt. These are conveyed through the very well implemented aesthetic elements, which corroborate the story being told as well as intensifying it.
In terms of gameplay, complexity and simplicity go hand in hand. The 3D scenery presents openings for various strategies when it comes to controlling the bullet, but the character is limited to a circle (sometimes not even that) for movement. It is possible to circle the environment to mark enemies and analyze the scenery, but any movement closer or further away is non-existent. This model opens up space for strategy, since the initial scope is limited but expands as the bullet is fired and its control is initiated, turning simple gameplay into complex.
https://preview.redd.it/6ncmxfsw4n2d1.png?width=3330&format=png&auto=webp&s=46e8c319f5191b8f6ec0ef27199f7810d2078c26
As far as progression is concerned, there are two different aspects: mechanical progression and story progression. Mechanical progression occurs as the player advances through the different stages and a new way of controlling the bullet or a new enemy is introduced. These mechanics create a new variation in the puzzle as specific enemies have specific methods to be dealt with, such as the battleship that needs the bullet to be at high speed to penetrate the armor, or the enemy with the shield that will usually need a deflected bullet to be killed, etc. Mechanically, there are also bullet and scenery variations, such as the projectile's subtle change of direction and the ability to completely change the bullet's direction after the player hits two weak points, while the scenery behaves as an integrating element since cars and birds are reachable objects that often offer a new angle for the bullet's trajectory. Obviously, each new scenario requires the player to use the new mechanics presented to complete the stage, so the scope and complexity of the puzzles gradually increases until the end of the work, thus providing a linear and challenging progression.
Still on the subject of progression, the story is gradual and just the right amount. The information provided is enough to resolve some of the doubts about the girl's ultimate goal, while the past is explained. There are no sudden jumps and the whole process is well understood.
As for the variations in the stages, there are some interesting elements and some not so interesting. Although there are variations in the stages, there is an idea of repetition at various times, which is why stages such as the cemetery and the car chase are important to vary what is being presented. The tricky thing is that this creates some strange distortions, such as the stage that is a mini-game of collecting ammunition and then killing enemies. This stage is completely disconnected from the rest of the work, it's a variation that makes no sense in the context, it's an appendix with no function.
Aesthetically, the work is stunning, perhaps one of the most impressive aspects. The vivid, contrasting colors generate an excessive amount of fanfare in everything, whether it's the enemies themselves, the explosions or the death effects. This fanfare corroborates the feeling that the character is feeling: hatred and a desire for revenge; this works well for a reality-shattering effect, and is applied well, even in the cinematics. Another point of aesthetics that is important for this psychedelically hateful setting are the sound effects, everything is loud and exaggerated, the anger is clearly transmitted through these elements, the work done is fantastic.
In conclusion, Children of the Sun manages to present a differentiated puzzle proposal that surprises with its mechanics and conquers with its aesthetics. Although it has a dense layer of strategy with various mechanics that enrich the gameplay and expand the scope of the puzzle, it doesn't give up telling its story, which is impactful despite not being innovative. The story has little impact if only the cinematics are taken into account; they help, but they don't convey the most visceral feelings. These feelings are only abstracted by the aesthetics of the work as a whole, the sound effects, the visual effects, the choice of color palette and its extremely high saturation that cause a dark and striking contrast. The work is a pleasant surprise from an independent German developer. The elements are integrated to form a unity that easily manages to convey its message and entertain the player.
