1.5 years out of college, I’ve been working for an asset management arm of a bank. The experience was substantial in the portfolio management side, but I feel none of it is applicable to the role I’m interviewing for but I want to break into FP&A
Below is my experience in my current role; currently a senior analyst and assist the PM side

• Assisting our in-house portfolio managers with managing Treasury ladders, updating Treasury yields, portfolio shifts, and creating customized benchmarks
  • Assets Under Management : ~$600m
  • Responsible for drafting 25-30 quarterly investment reports and presentations for client meetings ensuring accurate performance & benchmarking data
• Responsible for the construction, analysis and optimization of portfolio proposals for prospects & clients
  • Utilizing a correlation matrix & running a mean-variance analysis to ensure a portfolio(s) equity, fixed income, and alternative holdings are properly diversified and along the efficient frontier
  • Running a comprehensive report to show-case the portfolio's value-at-risk (VAR), expected standard deviation, expected return & yield
  • Forecasting portfolio cash & asset returns in nominal & real terms across 5-10-15+ year intervals
• Created a balance sheet, liquidity analysis PowerPoint template to highlight our fixed income solutions, for prospects, using data from 10-K forms
• Distributing notes on Fed data, economic data, earnings reports and recent model portfolio changes

Any input on preparing for the technical side of the interview when I don't have any raw FP&A experience?

Thinking of the business effectiveness and social cohesion of planned religious communities like the Shakers, I wonder whether anyone in the US Northeast at least has set up an on-site community where the entrepreneurially-minded can learn about startup skills as on-site or commuter interns or apprentices, help the more experienced with progressively more complex tasks, and gain the technical expertise and insight to create their own businesses, and get help from others to make them viable.
Formal "education" in the US seems broken and irrelevant, and I can see that if the US wants to roll back labor laws so that children in their early teens can get injured working in meat-packing plants in Tennessee, why not have people of junior high school age and older learn more useful, safer and remunerative skills, and possibly get paid more for it as well? Peter Thiel may have a good idea in paying people of 18 to develop a business instead of going to college, but why not help people skip additional years of academic irrelevance and get them started on their professional lives several years earlier?
I emphasize that there would be no age limit for this kind of learning: college dropouts, salaried job transiters and retirees could also attend, although there would probably be enrollment size limits. I see modern micro-schools funded and organized by parents as a viable template for this kind of organization, especially if people weren't living on-site. I would also recommend that if for-profit, the startup labs/communes etc. would not be expensive for new attendees; I would not make all or most of these organizations techno-hives exclusively for the children of the wealthy, children who often might as well learn about business by working with their families.
If places like this where several startups or the skills needed for them are being built exist, I'd like to know about them. If not, I hope that those with more money and influence than I have create them.

Hello. Here is the Video Playlist that I frequent when I play Clone Hero. I usually play on expert drums and am happy getting 90-95% on level 5 drum songs. All of the songs have an HD 1080p video to go with the chart with the exception of Souls of Black. The band's official YouTube only has a 240p version (wth?). I've synched all of the videos to audio pretty well. Let me know if you see any that aren't.

Well... as the title says. My son is 12 years old and I am at a complete loss.
These issues have been going on for 2 years.
He managed to get around parental controls to download discord by getting into my email and approving the download/deleting evidence. I had stopped checking his phone because I thought I had everything ironclad this time. There are multiple conversations between him and other people. I am certain one of these people is an adult, while the other one is a teenager. The three others spoke like they were trying too hard to be child-like, so I deduce they were also adults.
Extremely graphic, inappropriate conversations were had. Images were exchanged as well, either of themselves or of furries.
I want to take his phone completely away because what I am currently doing is not working. What I have been doing for the past 2 years is clearly not working. Every single time he has his device back, something like this happens. I have had the conversation with him millions of times. I've had him watch internet safety videos. I've explained all the dangers, both physical, mental, and emotional. I understand that children of today's world are being raised in the true age of technology, where it is exceedingly difficult to prevent their access without it taking an emotional/mental toll. This is because children, much like adults, are addicted to the great internet.
Today, he told me he went to bed at 8pm because he was so tired. When I looked at his phone, he was awake until 3am on a NSFW voice channel with the teen. I'm disturbed by this and he simply will not stop. The lies were easy to believe and that bothers me, too.
I only checked his phone today because he was talking to me about various guns and I was confused as to where that was coming from. I also discovered he was using Roblox (which is a known no) as a way to meet other furries and have interactions with them. It is mostly boys/men.
Would I be an absolute asshole if I just did not give him his phone back? Reset and pocket it?
(When I tell you we went through this in great detail, I mean I made a PowerPoint presentation. I made an interactive worksheet for him. I went through and found the best, most informative, easy to digest videos that help children understand internet safety. I have spent 2 years teaching my own seminar on internet safety, internet etiquette, and so on. I was as thorough and vigilant as I possibly could be. I did everything I possibly could and it did not work. Not sure how to navigate this moving forward as I have covered all the bases.)
& I feel it would be too much trouble to change my password routinely to prevent this from happening again. My daughter talks to her grandparents & aunts using my devices, and my partner also uses my devices on a day to day basis. It isn't a feasible option. I don't know what to do. I don't want to be mean/restrict him but at this point, idk what else to do. Sorry this is a long post. I am trying to make this all make sense. My reaction to the entire thing was: "Go sit down and read a book until I'm ready to talk to you." So that is what he is currently doing. I have a hard time reacting in the moment because I have to sit and process before determining the right response. Right now, I struggle (autism).
If this post is removed, can anyone tell me where do I even go to ask for advice? I know that I'm a parent and I should figure everything out on my own. I've been doing that; I just feel really lost.

A friend of my friend wants to build an informational website for his business, just for online presence, no money transactions needed.
I've some core PHP and basic HTML, JavaScript, CSS experience and i know basics of hosting and domain names but this work seems too simple that I just recommend him some website builder something like wix.com to do on his own and that's the end of my talk with him?
I haven't used such website builders but i guess these platforms must have some recurring fee on top of fee for domain name and hosting they would be providing. So if he (friend's friend) wants to save some money then i download a template (or use wordpress.org), add content (his business info) to it, and upload it to any hosting provider that comes on top of Google search results? That leads me to the next question that i don't know SEO so anything i should know when choosing a template or a website builder?
For domain name i'm aware of tld-list.com and tldes.com
He may like an official email address on the domain name. I remember setting up an email address for my own domain name i had on namecheap.com but it was long time back so i may be wrong in remembering that i was only able to receive emails on that, not able to send emails from that. I guess the email needs to be set up at the hosting provider. I think it would be nice if he can send official domain emails via his Gmail, will i be able to do that without paying for Google's paid service?
In me finding this as simple as building a PowerPoint presentation i fear that being an outsider am i missing something? Thank you.

Before my company makes a (another) mistake in selecting a course authoring tool, I figured I'd ask you fine people your thoughts about which platforms to look into.
Our current authoring tool isn't even worth mentioning, but we use Brainshark as our LMS.
We need to train:

• New hire onboarding
• Step by step software use (Salesforce, Power Bi, etc.)
• Sales concepts
• Product knowledge

We require:

18F first uni semester, working on a group project all month that is 25% of my grade, a report and presentation, both as a group of 4-5, report is 15% a communal grade, presentation 10% graded individually on performance.
Firsy day it was announced I asked the numbers of the 3 girls sitting the closest and made a group chat, asked them for topic suggestions before Friday. On Sunday I sent a list of 5 topics with 4 subtopics each that I picked, (no one else sent anything before that). I let them debate and decide, they picked the topic and we devided the subtopics first come first serve.
I believe I've done a lot of work in this project: 1- the template 2- the summary 3- a subtopic 4- the conclusion 5- helping the new member they added without my permission 6- Making the PowerPoint Most of them only did a subtopic, only one helped by doing the introduction.
And these teammates have been extremely frustrating: 1- insisting on copy-pasting into the group chat instead of just using Google Docs 2- making a lot of changes to the report without telling me 3- adding a new group member without telling me 4- not taking responsibility for the new member and leaving me to help her 5- the new member being worse than them, sending vauge information that jas nothing to do with the report topic 6- not agreeing to remove the new member even though she hasn't done any work (they said to let her finish the PowerPoint that I already started making atp) 7- that new member doing the PowerPoint sloppily (biggest mistake: skipping over an entire subtopic) that I just decided to just finish it myself since the others are "tired"
We originally planned to present next week. I go back to my family which lives in another state every weekend and found out today that I don't have to come back next week for anything besides this presentation so I asked to do it on Thursday, especially since I have more resources at home to study for finals and I don't have wifi here (I use data... college student finish in a day data). Everyone agreed besides one girl, she says she has another thing on Thursday that's a big part of her grade and she wants to focus on it, I said I understand and will help her with the presentation so it doesn't add any stress to her, her section in the presentation are the advantages, which are self explanitory bullet points that she just has to read off the PowerPoint. She responded by telling me if the trip is too difficult I should stay here the weekend then leave on Monday, I explained a personal reason as to why I have to go back this weekend, and that I'm a bus student so I can't leave in the middle of the week, she read half the messages, left the others unread, and has been ghosting me since.
AITA? I feel justified in my actions and requests, but I'm worried I was a bit selfish around the end.
