Before I get into the specific build, I first need to explain how and why this whole setup works. First Strike is mostly taken as a gold-accelerating rune vs matchups that u outrange, ensuring that u get the "first strike" onto enemies consistently. With the changes to First Strike giving more base gold on the initial hit and less gold on subsequent hits compared to before, it pairs really well with a lot of enchanters' poke patterns. Usually, we have one poke spell and not much followup. The current First Strike matches this poke pattern perfectly (think Nami W, Sona E, Seraphine passive-empowered autos etc), allowing us to get an extra 15g per proc on top of our support item gold
I'm able to come out of lane with 300-400 gold fairly consistently. Pair this with free boots or Cash Back, and u can essentially double this amount of gold. Since enchanters tend to be quite item-reliant, having this extra gold generation allows us to reach our item spikes a lot faster, further increasing the snowball potential
Do keep in mind that we can still go Aery vs most matchups, it's just that some matchups First Strike is very abuseable. When unsure, default to Aery!

I am a Master tier enchanter main with over 2.8mil points on Nami. I am by no means a perfect player, I still make mistakes and have plenty of areas to improve on
So, please note that the following information serves as a recommendation and general guideline. It was compiled based off of my own personal experience. Said information is not concrete, nor is it a law that you must follow. You are entitled to your own preferences, playstyles, and opinions, which may differ from mine. My only intent here is to share information that some players may find helpful

2. So how/why does it work?

TLDR (for this section):
On Nami specifically, we have an additional way to proc First Strike, since Nami E on allies actually procs First Strike! The best part of this interaction is that ur ally can be hit by enemies with ur E buff, but bc it wasn't you being hit directly, u will still retain the First Strike bonuses if ur ally hits enemies back with ur E buff despite being hit first! A common issue raised with this point is "what if my ADC is bad and doesn't use my E buff?" Don't worry, I got u covered too! So, whenever u empower an auto or ability that is still travelling middair towards the enemy, if u E urself or ur ally during said auto/ability, the slow and bonus dmg from E will still apply on impact. So, if u notice that ur ADC has cast an auto or ability onto the enemy, try to E them while this auto/ability is still travelling towards the enemy. Not only will this maximise E duration, give enemies minimal time to react to the slow and extra dmg, but it will also ensure that u proc First Strike due to E buff, as well as Manaflow Band and other item effects
This also works on ur own autos and abilities, and chaining abilities tgt like this will also help to cancel Nami's lengthy spell animation for more efficient trade patterns, hence better First Strike usage. Since W is our most consistent poke ability, we ideally want to start with this ability when trying to proc First Strike. This differs slightly from the regular Aery setup where we want to auto -> E ourself while our auto is still middair travelling towards enemy -> W enemy -> bubble/ult or let the bounceback heal retaliate enemy dmg. Instead, we want to W -> E ourselves while W is still middair travelling towards the enemy -> auto -> disengage with bounceback heal or bubble/ult

2.1. Jack of All Trades

Supports are actually able to utilise the new Jack of All Trades rune surprisingly well. Our support item alone already covers 3 of the 10 stats required. Here are the list of stats that we will generally be able to obtain on supports:
In order to get these stats, we will need our support item which gives HP, health regen, and mana regen. Most items will cover the haste component. Boots for the movespeed stat. Ardent will give us the %movespeed as well as heal/shield power. But if we don't need Ardent, then we can split this into any other heal/shield power item + Shurelya's. Armor + magic resist can be optained from Locket or Wardstone. Alternatively, if we don't need armor + magic resist, we can instead trade these stats for magic pen + mana instead (will also explain this in further detail below)
As you can see, the items required for Jack are situational items. It is important to identify during champ select if said items, particularly Ardent/Shurelya's + Locket/Wardstone, will be built for this game. Altho, these items will be applicable in most situations anyway
If u don't need these items for that particular game, or if u don't feel like u'll be able to reach all these stats for whatever reason, then Cosmic Insight is always a great staple. Lower summ cds for lower Flash and Heal cds, notoriously long-cd spells, as well as item haste. Item haste works on non-active item cds such as Dream MakeCelestial/Solstice/Zaz'Zak's cds, Mandate mark cds, as well as lowering trinket cd etc.

3. ITEMS

TLDR (for this section):
Alright, now that all the theory work is out of the way, we can finally move onto the specific build (what everyone is here for). There are two main builds to go about this. Each individual dot point reperesents one individual item slot:

3.1. Defensive Build

This build is run in situations where u need the defensive stats from Locket or Wardstone vs harder comps or matchups, with Locket being particularly good vs AoE and/or burst dmg. This build will also cover all the stats from Jack of All Trades (see list from previous section)
Ardent is the most efficient item for Jack due to it providing mana regen, heal/shield power, and %movespeed, all in one item. This will free up an extra item slot where we can buy a situational item, like antiheal, or if it's not needed then Dark Seal into Mejai's is always a great alternative for cheap AP (Nami has good AP ratios), or any other alternative item that u may need
However, it may not always be an Ardent game. In situations where it isn't an Ardent game (non-autoattack-reliant comps), u will need to split the %movespeed and heal/shield power stats into 2 separate items. Typically, Shurelya's + any other Forbidden Idol item will cover this. You can also go for any other item that gives %movespeed, but I find Shurelya's the most consistent. The main downside is ofc, the build being quite rigid if u go for this option (no room for antiheal or other situational items)
Also smth handy to note regarding Helia, the dmg portion of Helia does indeed proc First Strike!

3.2. AP Build

This is a more AP-focused build in situations where u don't need to be so defensive. We omitted the armor and magic resist from Locket/Wardstone for mana (Archangel's) and magic pen (Sorc Shoes). Nami E on allies uses her own magic pen, hence Sorc Shoes here

4. RUNES

TLDR:
The more specifics to optimise ur runes to their respective builds:

4.1. Runes for Defensive Build

Omitted free boots for Cash Back. Since this is for the defensive build, we will need to rush Lucidity boots vs hard matchups. Not only are Lucidity boots a cheaper option so it gives a faster spike in movespeed vs skillshot-heavy lanes, the lower Flash cd will be good vs engage lanes. Jack vs Cosmic has been explained in previous sections
Manaflow + Transcendence is default. For in-depth explanation:
Manaflow is essential for defensive build. Only go Absolute Focus in situations where enemies lack poke, allowing u to maintain the HP threshold for the AP. Transcendence is a good default, when unsure u can always default to this due to Nami's long cds. Pair both these with double adaptive minor shards option. Celerity if u need the movespeed vs heavy-skillshot comps (pair this with the 2% movespeed minor shard option)
I personally don't recommend Scorch with the First Strike setup due to the scaling nature of this build. However, Scorch is typically good with early-game ADCs or matchups where u have early pressure. Scorch also barely adds any bonuses to First Strike, especially as the game progresses. Avoid Scorch if enemies have sustain, as they can easily outheal or outshield that bit of Scorch dmg. When unsure, or in any other situation, go Gathering Storm

4.2. Runes for AP Build

Due to the more expensive nature and higher scaling potential of this build, go free boots so that u can focus on rushing items. Since we go Archangel's with this build, we won't need Manaflow. For maximum scaling, I recommend Absolute Focus + Gathering Storm (also the greediest option). Otherwise, Transcendence as explained prior

5. Core Mechanics of Nami W

TLDR (for this section):
Smth absolutely crucial to these First Strike builds, as well as any other AP Nami builds, is understanding her W bounce mechanic. I often get asked why AP Nami, so I will just include this section here as well. For the fellow fishies who already about this, please feel free to skip this section
The reason why AP Nami is a thing is bc of the way her W scaling works to begin with. We unironically heal more with AP builds than enchanter builds. Allow me to explain:
Patch 14.6: 'The damage and healing value is modified by -15% (+7.5% per 100AP) each bounce.'
Patch 14.7: 'The damage and healing value is modified by -10% (+10% per 100AP) each bounce.'
Before I explain how to get crazy heal/dmg numbers on Nami's W bounces, I first need to explain her unique scaling on W. Unlike most other enchanters who benefit from heal/shield power, Nami's W has a unique scaling where subsequent bounces become weaker pre-100AP, and become stronger post-100AP. This threshold was at 200AP before the most recent changes on her, so they buffed it significantly by lowering the threshold down to only requiring 100AP instead of 200, making AP builds even more potent now in terms of healing and dmg. As such, Nami benefits more from stacking AP than heal/shield power
To give some perspective, previously if I had 200AP my W bounces would be equally as strong as each subsequent bounce. However, with these changes, with 200AP our W is now amped by 10%, and will continue amping by 10% for every 100AP. Getting 400AP on AP Nami builds is very doable with the right setup, buffing our subsequent bounces by 30% per bounce. This means our second bounce will be 30% stronger than the first, and our third bounce will be 60% stronger than the first bounce, which does not need further explaining as to why this is absolutely obnoxious when it comes to dmg and healing values
These changes also mean that a lot of Nami players will need to learn to prioritise their bounces according to what they need. Before, some enchanter builds struggled to reach the 200AP threshold, so we could just autopilot the first bounce without giving it much thought. Now, bounce prioritisation will actually become a prominent part of her kit
To explain how to alternate W effectively with an example, if my primary target (the one I want to dmg/heal the most) is A and my secondary target (less priority target) is B, then I will alternate my W bounces as follows:
And ofc, if u have Mandate then make sure to use E before W to ensure ur W bounces do even more dmg and proc Mandate c:

5.1. Did You Know?

If you hover over Nami's W, you may notice multiple rings. The outer ring indicates Nami's W range when self-cast, meaning that the ability has a slightly longer range when you cast it on yourself bouncing towards an enemy (25 more range) rather than casting it on an ally to bounce or straight onto an enemy. So if u ever need to W urself first, or need just a bit of extra range, make sure to utilise this. To execute this most effectively, I recommend using alt+W for self-cast

6. Final Words

I really hope this helps out some fellow supports. This build can be a bit difficult to grasp at first, and will take some time to learn and get used to. But always rmb that when unsure u can always go back to Aery as it will always remain the most consistent option overall
I'm also aware that First Strike is being nerfed next patch from 15g -> 10g. Personally, I think it could still be situationally good. Also, I apologise for any typos that may have been made, as the post was quite lengthy and was done on phone (so I may have missed some typos while proofreading) 😭😭

Long story, but let me give a quick explanation; I am part of a local D&D group for a small town, where I currently run 3 different capaigns, one for a group of preteens, a group of adults, and a group of seior citizens who have been playing their campaign since 1st Edition (I was offered to take over when their DM passed away in '21, and I fear this campaign will keep on going until I am in the retirement home). This story is from the Adult group.
Now, a while ago, I read a reddit post that explained how a DM was using gummy bears and candy as monster pieces, treating the players who deal the final blow with eating said piece of candy. Inspired by this, I added into my gameworld a chaotic god who is corrupting the land, turning people and creatues into evil twisted candy, that the party needs to either save or put down.
Earlier in May, I got my hands on something special, one that I know the party would lilove to tear into.
Now, the party (Ancient Paladin, Totem Barbarian, Life Cleric, Assasin Rogue, and Divi Wizard(the poor victim)) are all lvl9, but they are right on the edge of reaching Lvl10. Their current mission: reach the bottom of an ancient temple that may hold a weapon that once sealed the chaitic god. However, they are aware that the corruption has reached this temple, as they fight thru hordes of gummy worms to the center of the temple, where they find the big boss: a corrupted Guardian Naga, represented by a literal 1-foot long gummy worm I found online. And yes, it nearly did take up a good portion of the table, but every player was ready to claim that bounty.
The fight was mostly even, but about an hour into combat, the players visions of sweet victory were turning sour due to bad rolls: The Paladin was out of smites, the Cleric was out of healing spells, the Rogue was on their third death saving throw (2 success, one failed), the Wizard was out of spells, and the Barbarian was eaten by the Naga, and was slowly both drowning and taking acid damage. Everyone was under 10HP. The Wizard's turn was up, and after him, was the Naga's.
He turned to me, and asked "May I do a Rule of Cool?", which I have as a homebrew rule where if they believe they need to do something drastic that breaks the core ruling, but it would be so cool and lifesaving, I might allow it, with a monkey's paw consequences. "May I cast Wish?"
Now, due to complications of the plot, the party earlier got a hold of a Wizard's book that contained Wish, however he was way too underlevel, plus he was already out of spell slots. "Now why would I allow that?" I asked, putting on the best snarky judge look that I could muster.
"Well, my character is in desperation, the party may be doomed if I cannot stop this Naga here and now, at least two of my friends will die. My character will pay anything- hell, I will do anything for even that small chance to save them!"
Now, I took a quick look over the ruling of Wish. Written in the 5th edition, Wish does state "State your wish to the DM as precisely as possible. The DM has great latitude in ruling what occurs...", plus his character had that Wish spell for a few sessions, so theoretically he could try.
"Alright, tell me your wish, as best and clear as you can, and I may grant it. However, there will be consequences..."
"I Wish... that the Naga loses all of its magic and becomes just a regular gummy worm!"
Nice wish. I nod slowly, and stay quiet for a minute as the rest of the table chatters amongst themselves. I roll 2d10s behind my screen (a 8 and a 9), and I let out a soft sigh.
"As you make your wish... you feel every last bit of arcane energy surge inside of you, a hidden font of power that you have never felt before. And as all of your energy floods into the large Nage Gummy, the gelatin jiggles, wobbles, then falls, the Naga Gummy... now dead."
The table cheers in victory, the Barbarian handing the wizard the gummy worm for first bite. "However..." I stop him, grinning evilly. "As the rest of the party celebrates, you, Wizard, now feel yourself changing. You start to shrink in size as the party watches you vanish under your robes, leaving your gear and clothing in a pile on the ground."
"Wait, am I dead?"
"Oh no~ much, much worse~ You see, the consequences for your actions of using a powerful spell without proper safety measures and training resulted in some magical backlash~ And what has become of the Naga..." I reach down under the table, and pull out a fresh little gummy worm, handing it to him with the rest of the party staring in absolute horror "... has now been graced upon you~ You are now a sentient gummy worm~"
"Oh that is messed up!"
"No, you know whats messed up??" I show him the page I had kept the Gummy Naga's health tracked, revealing the Gummy Naga was at 3 HP left. All he needed to do was a simple Fire Bolt spell and he would of probably killed it. I, of course, laughed like a villain as the session winded down, and we ended for the night.
By the end of the week, Everyone in town heard about what I did to the Wizard, and now even the other groups are giving me shit for it. I'm not mad about it, but damn, now I can't even buy groceries without the local grocery clerk slipping me a free coupon for more gummy worms. And yes, I am now known as the town's "Evillest DM", and I am not even sure if its earned. But now, I think I will buy a few gummy Rats for an upcoming session...

Avoid Scorch if enemies have sustain, as they can easily outheal or outshield that bit of Scorch dmg. When unsure, or in any other situation, go Gathering Storm

Due to the more expensive nature and higher scaling potential of this build, go free boots so that u can focus on rushing items. Since we go Archangel's with this build, we won't need Manaflow. For maximum scaling, I recommend Absolute Focus + Gathering Storm (also the greediest option). Otherwise, Transcendence as explained prior

5. Core Mechanics of Nami W

TLDR (for this section): - More than 100AP -> subsequent bounces heal/dmg MORE - Less than 100AP -> subsequent bounces heal/dmg LESS - W has slightly longer range when self-cast
Smth absolutely crucial to these First Strike builds, as well as any other AP Nami builds, is understanding her W bounce mechanic. I often get asked why AP Nami, and it would be natural for some fishies to come forth and ask about this too, so I will just include this section here as well. For the fellow fishies who already about this, please feel free to skip this section
The reason why AP Nami is a thing is bc of the way her W scaling works to begin with. We unironically heal more with AP builds than enchanter builds. Allow me to explain:
Patch 14.6: 'The damage and healing value is modified by *-15% (+7.5% per 100AP)** each bounce.'*
Patch 14.7: 'The damage and healing value is modified by *-10% (+10% per 100AP)** each bounce.'*
Before I explain how to get crazy heal/dmg numbers on Nami's W bounces, I first need to explain her unique scaling on W. Unlike most other enchanters who benefit from heal/shield power, Nami's W has a unique scaling where subsequent bounces become weaker pre-100AP, and become stronger post-100AP. This threshold was at 200AP before the most recent changes on her, so they buffed it significantly by lowering the threshold down to only requiring 100AP instead of 200, making AP builds even more potent now in terms of healing and dmg. As such, Nami benefits more from stacking AP than heal/shield power
To give some perspective, previously if I had 200AP my W bounces would be equally as strong as each subsequent bounce. However, with these changes, with 200AP our W is now amped by 10%, and will continue amping by 10% for every 100AP. Getting 400AP on AP Nami builds is very doable with the right setup, buffing our subsequent bounces by 30% per bounce. This means our second bounce will be 30% stronger than the first, and our third bounce will be 60% stronger than the first bounce, which does not need further explaining as to why this is absolutely obnoxious when it comes to dmg and healing values
These changes also mean that a lot of Nami players will need to learn to prioritise their bounces according to what they need. Before, some enchanter builds struggled to reach the 200AP threshold, so we could just autopilot the first bounce without giving it much thought. Now, bounce prioritisation will actually become a prominent part of her kit
To explain how to alternate W effectively with an example, if my primary target (the one I want to dmg/heal the most) is A and my secondary target (less priority target) is B, then I will alternate my W bounces as follows:
And ofc, if u have Mandate then make sure to use E before W to ensure ur W bounces do even more dmg and proc Mandate c:

5.1. Did You Know?

If you hover over Nami's W, you may notice multiple rings. The outer ring indicates Nami's W range when self-cast, meaning that the ability has a slightly longer range when you cast it on yourself bouncing towards an enemy (25 more range) rather than casting it on an ally to bounce or straight onto an enemy. So if u ever need to W urself first, or need just a bit of extra range, make sure to utilise this. To execute this most effectively, I recommend using alt+W for self-cast

6. Final Words

Phew! That was probably one of my lengthiest explanations made into a single post to date! I really hope this helps out some fellow fishies. This build can be a bit difficult to grasp at first, and will take some time to learn and get used to. But always rmb that when unsure u can always go back to Aery as it will always remain the most consistent option overall

Problem Summary: Included TOC, which should appear in the content, appears in wrong place near end of book, links don't work (probably no anchors?), image that I wrapped text around (expecting it to appear like a dropcap [dropcaps work]) appears inline, instead.
Thanks so much to all who helped with my recent print-based question. Now for an ePub 3.0 question...
Why this is a problem: I know exactly how to do this manually by hand, but the idea of having to renumber 201 navPoints makes me want to cry, especially as I may have to do this multiple times, so I'm hoping there is a way to do this from within InDesign. I usually work with fiction, so I've never come up against this since I started using InDesign to create ePubs late last year (I've been using a text editor to do so since 2010, like some kind of extreme masochist).
Longer Problem Description: I have a single-file book with a 3-level TOC that is 6 pages long in the print version. According to all the instructions I found online, I used Layout -> Table of Contents to generate the TOC in the place where I want it to appear (after the dedication, before the first content page). Whether or not this is aesthetically appropriate in an eBook, or whether it replicates the built-in ePub TOC is irrelevant, it's what I've been asked to do, because the author considers it a marketing feature. I had to insert pages to do this, and broke up the flow of the document. I'm concerned I did it wrong, which might be the source of this issue. So please feel free to educate me on that topic, if it's necessary--I'm still a total newb to creating in InDesign.
Additionally, an image I expected text to wrap around (and which works in the InDesign file) just appears inline in the ePub. However, all the dropcaps work, so I know InDesign can do what I want, it just seems to not want to.

2024.06.02 00:42 Pokemon_bill Is the problem my MB or the GPU

I have the 4070 TiS installed on a Z790 PG Sonic MB.
When I installed the 4070 in the primary PCIe lane (gen 5 x16) the PC would crash on login to Windows every time. It would boot to the login screen and could sit there indefinitely with no problems but as soon as I login it black screen restarted.
After pulling my hair out from trying to figure out what was wrong I eventually moved the GPU to the secondary PCIe slot 4 x16.
When I did that the PC became stable. I settled for that miracle and have been using it like that for about 2 months give or take.
Now I'm trying to run unreal engine 5 and every time I open it I get a crash report stating "GPU Crashed or D3D Device Removed. Check Log for GPU state information. A GPU mini dump was be saved in the Logs folder."
Yes it says "was be saved" which, while funny I'm getting tired of seeing. On the bright side while I don't know much about this personally I was able to find the log or in this case logs folder and found several files.
What they are talking about seems to be my system specs and what failed. It looks like VtuneApi.dll and it's 32 bit counterpart. It says they don't exist.
I'll be adding the log file to this post when I switch to PC.
This isn't the only thing the system has been failing to run and it's not the only problem I've noticed.
I also see what I would describe as artifacting in the display. For a few seconds when things open or are closed I'll see pixels not being rendered and in some cases they jump around so it'll look like speckles being randomly placed on the screen for a moment.
When I received my 4070 and tried to install it originally I believed it to be defective so I returned the first one.
I don't know the odds of getting two defective in a row but honestly I suspect the MB just as much as the GPU at this point.

I am working on a printed project and was using Big Caslon as the overall font. The printer is concerned that the finer lines on some of the letters (see, for example, N or M) will be "filled in" during printing. This is only a concern for the text (it's a poster), not the title, which is in Big Caslon and isn't changing.
I need to find a decent font to pair it with that isn't too modern. Any recommendations of free fonts would be much appreciated!

Trying to add fonts to a new Linux installation. The fonts folder already exists in usr>share. I keep getting this error: "The folder [font name] cannot be copied because you do not have the permissions to create it in the destination." Any suggestions? Do not want to go back to using Windows over a font.

2024.06.01 19:59 throwawaytothetenth Top civs for Fast imp monk treb/ monk BBC (clown maps)

By no means am I an expert at this strat, so this list is somewhat guesswork. If I miss an obvious pick or overrate a civ feel free to correct me. I'm not rating them purely on the strength of the monk+siege push, but the feasibility of using this strat as a whole. I'm biased towards teamgames flank situations.
S-tier
1.) Aztecs. Eco bonuses, S-tier monk bonus, relic gold bonus, can transition to eagle spam off of one TC with moderate food sling in late game for upgrades.
2.) Bohemians. 4 free techs that aid the strat + full monk tree + chem in castle for early BBC + cheaper uni/BS for quick aging + transition to houfnice and availability of trash monks later. Can skip the castle altogether and go straight monk BBC too. If spears need to be added, they are stronger than generic.
3.) Byzantines. Cheap imp cost, full monks, strong castle HP (important if push is slowed down,) faster healing, cheap speapike support.
4.) Italians: cheaper aging, faster chem and cheap BBC, can add condo support, +even unupgraded genx bow can help take down light cav charges later. Added bonus of silk road in team games; allows them to get eco ramped up quickly post-push if needed.
A-tier
1.) Spanish- No great eco bonuses, but castle goes up faster and access to inquisition when available. Full monks, improved BBC. Castle into conqs is just better though, and you'd only go fast imp if opponent has narrow access point + a castle with walls (black forest.)
2.) Saracens- market allows for very fast ageing and they have full monks+ BBC, and bimaristan tech. Mamelukes are a great unit to protect monks with and are easy to keep alive around monks. Undoubtedly a step below the top civs though. Also of note; if it's quite late in the game, your gold eco can let you re-boom realllllly fast if the market is bottomed out on food/wood (all civs can, but saracens get a bonus for this.)
3.) Burgundians- top 4 1TC eco in the game with Aztecs/Vikings/Malay + decently strong monks + extra damage BBC. Relics gather food (this bonus is massive for 1TC/ low farm eco plays.) Lack of theocracy kind of hurts though. and Coustillier is a strong UU to pair with in small numbers.
4.) Burmese- cheaper monk techs, relic vision, +3 damage infantry for free (spears), full monk techs, free lumber techs. Not a great follow up though since their comp is heavily food based, you sorta have to go arambai unles you can quickly reboom. Probably better than Saracens though, to be honest, especially in a vaccuum just due to saving ~500 gold and free lumber techs.
I don't know how to rank but definitely strong:
Malay- fast aging. I haven't tried it though. Seems very strong, maybe S tier.
Japanese- especially on black forest if you have fish, they have good monks and a treb tech, and better spears if needed. Better to boom though, only worthwhile for a suprise/ the pond is near the walls.
Any thoughts?

So, I ask myself, what are the implications of this soon to be active, Trademark of CytoDyn, LIVIMMUNE? Let's consider the definition of Intellectual Property.

But the Composition of Matter Patent on the leronlimab molecule has expired. So, then, the IP must be the LIVIMMUNE Trademark which protects and shields against the use of a CCR5 blockade for the conditions listed in the Trademark description above. In fact, the LIVIMMUNE Trademark places the utilization of CCR5 blockade only in the hands of leronlimab across the wide array of inflammatory and immune activating pathology that plagues humanity, all other CCR5 blockers need not apply.
So, on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, the LIVIMMUNE Trademark is Issued & becomes Active and the only CCR5 blocker that can be implemented against the above-named pathology becomes leronlimab. Therefore, if any company wishes to incorporate the use of a CCR5 blockade in the capacities listed above, (as a therapeutic preparation or treatment, for the purpose of Scientific Research or for Providing Health and Medical Information in any form, book, website, app, etc...), then, they need to knock on CytoDyn's doors and request permission to have the IP rights to the LIVIMMUNE Trademark and after the proper legal documents are signed, then, they may do as they have agreed.

Yeah, I can take this one. as well. So, the two most common questions that we get when people ask about IP, and I'm just going to assume this is what people would want to hear by way of an update, is what exactly started to expire by way of IP in 2023, and then generally they want an assurance that the company has some sort of plan, right, or an idea or is monitoring IP. So as to the first, in terms of what started to expire in 2023, the company is very cognizant of what expires and when. Needless to say, we are a pre-revenue biotech company developing a single molecule at this point, right, or some there are varieties of that molecule. So, we view that as our only asset and the most valuable asset, and we invest time, energy, and resources ensuring adequate protection. So, where the questions arise as to what expires is primarily related to our exposures, and I imagine our 10k. So, the underlying molecule of the leronlimab antibody itself started to expire in 2023. So that is the foundational leronlimab. You heard Jay speak earlier about how long he's been working with the antibody, right? There's IP tied to that. So, as the longer the random at itself has been out in, the IP can only last so long as to the underlying antibodies. Now, what the company does to build out the next levels of protection is we've gotten IP around the concentrated protein formulation and those don't start to expire until 2031. We've gotten levels of IP protection surrounding the use of leronlimab and the treatment of HIV. That won't start to expire until 2035. We have methods of action associated with cancer indications and methods of use associated with cancer indications and those don't start to expire in 2040. And then COVID-19, we have certain protections that again would start to expire in 2040. And then the most recently developed IP surrounding NASH would not even start to expire in 2043. So, our approach to that IP and what technically started to expire would allow people to use leronlimab antibody for research purposes. But the practical reality is we've built up adequate protections around the applications of leronlimab and HIV, COVID-19, NASH, and then there's also some certain methods of action. IP that would prevent anybody from substantially competing with us while using the wrong amount of antibodies.
So, in short, as Tyler has said, he accomplished the continued protection and shielding of CytoDyn with the Timely Activation of the LIVIMMUNE Trademark given that the Composition of Matter Patent on leronlimab just expired. Try as they might, they cannot get around the use of this Trademark when attempting either to Prepare a CCR5 blocking Treatment or to Research CCR5 blockade in any manner or to Provide Information in any form on CCR5 blockade. So then, after Tuesday, June 11, 2024, it is conceivable that CytoDyn begins to charge fees for the right to test/study leronlimab and for the right to produce articles which document these results on the CCR5 blockade leronlimab.
This IP LIVIMMUNE provides the means by which any company that desires to utilize the CCR5 blockade leronlimab in whatever form, shape or fashion that they agreed upon, has the rights to do so. It will be agreed upon and settled upon as stated here:

Now, it becomes clear why Tyler was given such a prominent role in the past few webcasts and investor meetings. It becomes clear that this IP protection remains the lifeblood of the company and why the company remains ever so confident and that is because CytoDyn is protected by their LIVIMMUNE IP as per the Patent Attorney for Microsoft & Apple disclosed above until at least until 2031. Even Scott Kelly has mentioned this when he was here.

End goal is the user creates a custom category and assigns a glyph to it.

Surgery in french clinic after years of hesitating out of fear, and price too 🤌
in the morning at 10am. I didn't feel anything during the surgery, I only saw a little smoke, and the only unpleasant thing was the water used to cool my eye after the laser. It literally flooded my eye 😂.
The surgery lasted 38 seconds for each eye and 15 minutes later I was already out! On the way home, I felt a little pain from the light, despite wearing sunglasses.
Day 0 (D-0): I could go out without any problem, but I couldn't keep my eyes open for more than a few seconds because of the brightness. In the afternoon, my eyes itched (like a bit of sand) and stung, but the drops gave me relief and I could still open my eyes and see almost clearly. I then took a well-deserved nap, thanks to the Lexomil 😅.
The first night was more complicated, no doubt due to the lack of drops every 4 hours. I didn't sleep as well as I did the afternoon of the operation. I woke up several times and my eyes hurt (burning sensation).
My treatment: - Skiacol** (1 drop every 8 hours) - Monoox** (1 drop every 4 hours) - Ibuprofen** for pain - Vitamin C** (1 g daily) - Lexomil**: 1/4 after surgery, 1/2 before sleep on day 0, 1/4 on waking on day 1, 1/2 before sleep on day 1
Day 1 (D+1): I had some difficulty opening my eyes when I woke up, as if they were stuck, with the usual pain and burning. However, when I put the drops in, things got much better. I found a little trick when I opened my eyes slightly to make myself cry and thus moisturize my eyes. Once the eye drops took effect, I had no more pain and was able to keep my eyes open and look clearly for a few seconds. I preferred to stay in the dark with my eyes closed to avoid straining my eyes. I took my eye drops again, had a snack and a quarter of Lexomil to help me fall asleep before going to bed. Every four hours, I woke up to apply my eye drops before going back to sleep. In the evening, I relaxed in the living room with my wife. However, the light from the TV was too glaring, even after about 30 seconds and despite wearing sunglasses. I ended up covering my head with a plaid and dozing off. On the other hand, my vision was clear at a medium distance, but blurred both near and far, making it almost impossible to use my phone.
D+2: An almost normal night (God bless Lexomil), I wake up without too much difficulty. My eyes are a little sticky from the night's tears, but once I've applied the eye drops, I feel much better. I can see a little more clearly up close, but my vision is still blurry on my phone (I haven't changed the text size, just so you know). The light outside still "hurts" over time, and I can't go more than 2 minutes without my sunglasses. As usual, I take the eye drops every 4 hours and rest by listening to podcasts and music in a dark atmosphere. By the end of the day, I was full of energy, which motivated me to exercise. I carried out a workout that included going up and down stairs for a total of 50 floors, as well as doing sit-ups. I felt no discomfort from my slightly blurred vision, nor any pain in my eyes. Later that evening, I found it almost impossible to read on my phone, requiring extra concentration as it was too blurry.
D+3 (today) After a good night's pain-free sleep, I can see that my near vision has improved considerably. I can read without straining on my iPhone, and even at a distance of around 20 to 30 meters, further away vision remains blurred. Ps: Here are the font settings I use, so you can see for yourself. This morning, I went out for a few errands on foot, of course with sunglasses on. Distance vision was a bit tricky, but I had no trouble seeing up close. I also opened the shutters a bit more, and I can handle the brightness more easily (still with my glasses at home). Finally, I've been able to clean up my 50-square-meter castle, and I'm still pain-free. ❤️
I have the appointment to remove the healing lens at D+5, the day after tomorrow. I'll keep updating this post to follow the adventures of my TRANSPRK operation. For now, it's truly the best decision I've made for my eyes.

TLDR: I want to give you benchmarks and scientific processes to understand the outcome of the 2024 election without any prejudice.
There are many opinion polls and analyses that are giving extreme predictions of 2024 outcome like one from Parakala Prabhakar predicts ~150 seats for BJP and some others predict 375. Coming from a family of politicians .Without any prejudice let me explain how the process works and how to get a correct sense of the election. Thumb rules: I will give a detailed explanation later, but please keep these rules in mind. 1. Elections are won by grassroots cadres who bring voters to the voting booth. You cannot win elections unless that happens.
  1. Voters vote in their best interest and they have clarity on that and the illiterate/poorly educated ones have better clarity. Voters are not stupid or could be fooled or people's mandate can be stolen.
  2. वक़्त करता है परवरिश बरसों, हादसा एक दम नहीं होता : Things doesn’t happen all of a sudden, it happens over a while. Likewise, people don’t change their minds just because X incident has happened. Let's say on a weighing scale while pouring peanuts on one pan, on the 100th peanut scale tilts on its side so we cannot categorically say that the 100th peanut was historic or there is something special about it.
  3. Media and money cannot buy votes.
  4. EVMs cannot be hacked/manipulated.
  5. In God we trust, others bring data.
Let’s say you go to a Mercedes showroom and say to the salesman that you have a strong feeling that I should own this Mercedes and even all my friends feel the same. You are not going to get that Mercedes unless the sum total of the money in your bank is more than what the price of the car. If not, then the salesman would ask you to get lost, the same thing you should tell anyone who analyses something based on their feeling. This is why analysis of Parakala P can be dismissed as he has mentioned in the beginning that it is his feeling.
Next in line are charlatans like Yogendra Yadav who with their sweet talk mix data with their feelings. He is taking data from previous elections and mixing his feelings to predict the outcome. I would trust the analysis of Pradeep Gupta or News24 Today’s Chanakya. These people have a very high rate of predicting election outcomes correctly, we need to understand their methods and how they can predict them correctly.
To understand their methods, we must first understand how people arrive at a decision to vote for a specific party.
Every party has 3 distinct types of voters:
  1. Core voters: These voters will vote for a given party even if the sun rises in the west. A classic example is BSP. Its core voters are the SC/ST community and without any effort or presence in media or SM in the 2022 UP election, they got ~13% vote. Every major party has 10-20% (of the total eligible voters).
The core voter base will vote for a party even without a leader, even if leaders engage in crimes or corruption, it doesn’t matter. Long back I asked an old man who would vote for in a gram panchayat polls? He said, Indira Gandhi. At that time, I thought the old man was delusional however, I now understand that he voted for Congress because he felt obligated to vote for Indira Gandhi even if she died 3 decades ago. A core voter feels a lifetime obligation towards a specific party for any specific incident that has changed their life. E.g. Core voters of Shiv Sena voters vote because Shiv Sainiks saved their lives in the riots post Babri demolition or BSP voters vote for Kanshi Ram because he educated them about their constitutional rights and gave them a dignified life.
  1. Loyal voters: These voters are loyal to a specific party/leader however, they have a defined fault line and if their party/leader crosses that fault line they vote against that party/leader. E.g. a BJP voter has a fault line of Hindutva or nationalism and if they feel that fault line is crossed they would vote against BJP to express their anger because that fault line is crossed. As long as the fault line is not crossed the party/leader engaged in crime or corruption doesn’t matter. The percentage of loyal voters changes each election, but you cannot win unless you have ~15-20% loyal voters. Floating voter: This voter would vote based on his criteria and perception however this kind of voter is usually in the range of 5% of the total voters. Core voters form the bulwark of the party and support the party voraciously even at it’s lowest point, these voters keep the party alive in its bad days, but you cannot win the elections without the support of the loyal voters. These voters along with the floating voters help the party cross the finish line which is usually 30-45%. When an incumbent party loses elections with a major loss, it usually means the loyal voters have voted against them. Floating voters matter when there is regime change because, in that kind of a fight, every vote counts. Bhau Torsekar , a Marathi journalist had accurately predicted 2014 and 2019 results without any survey and wrote books on he arrived at these figures. Let me summarise his methodology. He has identified swing seats, i.e. a constituency where the difference between the 1st and 2nd candidate should be less than 15% or BJP had won that seat in recent part, which he calls fight seats, i.e. seats where a party has a realistic chance of winning. That number was close to 300 and with Modi as PM candidate and Amit Shah as strategist of UP state that swing of 15% was achieved and in some cases even more and that is how the majority was won. Anyone who was closely involved in that election would know what fever was there to elect Modi. I personally remember that my family members who were loyalists of Congress had been angry with Congress since 90s and would say that they would now vote for Vajpayee just before going to vote and for Congress. Despite the disgruntlement and a charismatic leader like Vajpayee, they voted for Congress. The breaking point came when the Congress leadership behaved in a very high-handed manner with my Uncle and refusing to meet him, which was considered as a big insult by his supporters. BJP leadership grabbed the opportunity with both hands, had a series of meeting and scales were titled in 2014 election. 5 lakh voters switched from Congress to BJP and they became loyal voters of BJP. This fever I had seen in my colleagues and neighbours. With all the scandals of the world, bad publicity and wide-scale protests, Modi’s allure, and Shah’s micromanagement, unprecedented rise of 8% in the polls, the BJP’s vote share rose by just 12%. For India alliance to come tilt the scales, they will have to raise their vote share by at least 10% and I see no signs of that happening. Having disgruntled voters is one part, but disgruntled voters are not going to switch parties unless the opposition has addressed all the needs of the voters. Here Shekhar Gupta speaks his observations on how he saw that Modi was able to deliver social benefit schemes to people( meanwhile he was making videos onhow bad modi's defeat would be in 2014 elections.) .
Most voters in India are directly dependent on the government’s social benefit schemes and it used to be a struggle to get those benefits from Sarkari babu. Modi turned the tables and made the Sarkari Babu struggle to deliver the promised benefit. The voters is mostly voting for his issues like water, food, social justice, and security. He is not bothered by Modi being a dictator or a democracy in danger. For them, issues can range from getting 5 Kg of free rice to road from village to highway. If that is done he is happy to vote for the leader who has done that.
Please take these factors into account.
  1. 55 swing seats are there for BJP.
  2. The vote share of the India alliance will fall. Why? Because the cadre is leaving these parties.
  3. The vote share of the BJP will rise because the above cadre has come to the BJP. Tag this with streamline and tight control of central leadership.
While most people will call Amit Shah as Chanakya, I see him as a top class administrator who has set processes for the BJP karyakartas to execute their task which is mind-boggling. These guidelines come with minute details like font size. There are leaders like Amit Shah or better in other parties however, they have not given a thought of putting down their experience on paper making guidelines, creating a robust feedback system, etc. You can consider BJP like McDonald's which has detailed processes to replicate the success in every franchise, while the other parties are like top restaurants in your city which are top class where they operate but cannot take their success beyond that restaurant because they have not made their restaurant process oriented.
The best-case scenario for BJP is 355 however, 325 would be a rational figure.

I'm looking for some saber fonts for a new proffie saber. I prefer "in universe" style fonts with a sound that is unmistakably a Star Wars lightsaber, not something super electronic sounding or with sounds from some other franchise. It doesn't have to be a movie/show specific sound, or one from a particular character, but I like deeper, punchy sounds. If the fonts come with cool blade styles and ignitions, even better. I'm familiar with a lot of the well known ones from the likes of Kyberphonics, Ksith, JuanSith, Jaydalorian, Greyscale, etc., but I'm sure I haven't listened to them all... Anyways, what are your opinions on sweet sound fonts? Free would be nice, but I don't mind paying for good sounds. If you have links to your suggested font, that would be helpful as well. Do they mean only websites where you can type what you want the shirt to say in a design app and the font is stored on the system? Or does that also mean a static unchanging image printed on a t-shirt and ordered "on demand"?

I'm starting a business and looking to setup a way for customers to order my designs printed on shirts through my supplier, so I don't have to be involved with the transaction. But my designs have text with fonts that include "do not use with a print-on-demand websites" with the license. and trying to figure out if that includes that I am doing. Thank you.
