Oakley met Blanchard in her hotel room, where she did her makeup and the two created social media content together. Oakley and Blanchard had about two hours to do hair and makeup and one hour to create social media photos and videos. They also stopped in a nearby Sephora for about an hour to shop together. Oakley has posted more than nine videos on her TikTok and Instagram from the collaboration, which have garnered more than 70 million impressions, she said. She also gained more than 250,000 followers on TikTok, almost overnight. As of Wednesday, Oakley has more than 490,600 followers on TikTok. "I've never gained so many followers from anyone before," Oakley told the News-Leader on Wednesday. "Obviously, I've worked with traditional celebrities ... and a tag can help my career, for sure, but the Gypsy Rose Effect is unlike anything." Connecting with Gypsy The collaboration began back in December 2023, a few days after Blanchard was released from the Chillicothe Correctional Center, where she served an eight-year sentence for conspiring to kill her mother Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard" with her then-boyfriend Nick Godejohn in 2015. Blanchard was released from prison Dec. 28 and on Dec. 30, Oakley posted a TikTok video of her setting up her makeup kit with the caption, "Clearing my schedule in case Gypsy Rose wants glam." The video was a part of a trend where TikTokers made videos of them "clearing their schedules" to do specific activities with Blanchard. As of Wednesday, Oakley's video had more than 454,200 views. Though the video garnered more engagement than her other content, Oakley said she didn't think much of it. However, she was genuinely interested in doing Blanchard's makeup. "After that, I saw that she was doing press in New York and getting her hair and makeup done and I was like, 'Okay, she's about to start being a glam girl, how can I get my name in there?'" Oakley recalled. "I DMed (direct messaged) her a million times (on Instagram), but obviously she wasn't seeing anything because I think she got 12 million followers overnight." Oakley decided to take it a step further and began sifting through the list of accounts Blanchard followed on Instagram, which at the time was about 100. "I was just looking for someone who was maybe a manager, publicist or friend," Oakley continued. "I ended up finding a few girls who worked on the Lifetime team and DMed them and said, 'Oh my gosh, I saw Gypsy is doing press. How can I glam her? Can you connect me? Who should I reach out to?' and they were like, 'Oh my gosh, we actually saw your TikTok.'" In January, Lifetime aired a six-episode docuseries called "The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard," which chronicled the history of Blanchard's case and some of her life in prison. After connecting with members of Lifetime, it was about four months before Oakley heard from them again, which she said is typical when working with celebrities. Then out of nowhere Oakley received the call: Are you available? Gypsy is coming to Los Angeles. Four hours and a lasting friendship According to Oakley, Blanchard was only in Los Angeles for about 24 hours. Ahead of the Lifetime red carpet event, Blanchard visited Santa Monica Pier — it was her first time seeing the ocean — and did some staple California activities, like trying In-N-Out Burger. Then, Blanchard and Oakley met up for hair and makeup in Blanchard's hotel room. "We just connected right away," Oakley said of Blanchard. "I filmed the entire process, which I typically try to do with my clients ... She was so sweet, such an easy client and just so excited to learn about makeup and just asking questions the entire time: 'What's this product? How do you apply this? Why are you putting it there? What does this do? Have I been doing this wrong?' (She) was very, very eager to learn, which is so fun for me." During hair and makeup, Oakley learned that Blanchard had never been to a Sephora, so she asked Blanchard's team if they would have enough time to run by a nearby mall. Fortunately, they were able to work it into her schedule. The two bought an array of makeup products, including moisturizer, foundation and concealer, blush, mascara, eyebrow pencils and lip liner. "It was just so sweet and it honestly made me so emotional taking her as she'd never been before, she's 32 years old and doesn't really know how to do her makeup," Oakley said. "Watching her light up when I would tell her about certain products ... was just really, really cool." Since Blanchard's visit to Los Angeles, Oakley said the two have been texting back and forth daily. And while nothing is confirmed, Oakley said Blanchard told her that she would like for her to do her makeup for her wedding, when that day comes. Getting started and what's next Oakley got her start doing prom and bridal makeup in her parent's basement in high school, but she knew she was interested in more sophisticated work. A few weeks after graduating from New Covenant Academy in 2016, Oakley moved to Los Angeles at the age of 18. Upon arriving, she enrolled at Make-Up Designory, a five-month professional make-up training program. "Two days before I graduated Make-Up Designory, I landed a job as an assistant for a really huge celebrity makeup artist. That was kind of that moment for me where I was like, 'Okay, I think this is supposed to be what I do." The makeup artist was Rachel Goodwin, who has worked with Emma Stone, Laura Dern, Jennifer Lawrence, Zendaya and countless other A-list celebrities. Oakley said she spent about four years working as an assistant for various celebrity makeup artists before establishing herself independently. The first two celebrities she worked with on her own were Paris Hilton and Jessica Alba, both in the same week. More recently, Oakley has enjoyed collaborating with social media content creators including Tanya Mongeau, Trisha Paytas and Brianna LaPaglia. When it comes to Oakley's relationship with Blanchard, she said she hopes to stay in contact and do her makeup anytime she's in Los Angeles. As for future clients, Oakley said her dream celebrity that she would like to work with is Hailey Bieber. She also hopes to host more in-person events like meet-and-greets and masterclasses. |

My mother is an amazing woman with incredible standards that she holds herself to. I am now 20, moved out, paying my own bills, etc. when I became an adult, I started wearing bikinis for 2 main reasons.

- One pieces feel extremely uncomfortable on my body. I have some sensory issues and I hate how it feels for the fabric to cling to my body, and wet all of my clothes when putting clothes back on after swimming
- Bikinis always cut into the bikini line area causing irritation wear I shave, and irritated bumps. I feel like it also contributes to ingrown hairs.
- It makes it difficult to use the restroom. I have to always take the swimsuit all the way off, then put a damp swimsuit back on. Very uncomfortable and time consuming.

Hopefully this is the right forum for this question.. my husbands ex wife and new husband are currently hosting a 14 year old female exchange student, which has raised major concerns as I am aware the ex wife's husband has a huge criminal record..part of which contains that he broke into his ex wife's house to try and commit suicide in front of his own children to spite his own ex wife (his record was subpoenaed as part of a family law case). We also recently went through issues with our step daughter (13) regarding innapropriate photos that her step dad was taking of her for her tiktok (I.e in a bikini). I do not believe this family is fit to hold my stepkids let alone an exchange child who will likely be left alone with this man while we have custody of his children and his wife is at work. I am aware from the years of family law court that the police will do very little to intervene, I am wondering who else there is to contact? It does not appear this was arranged through their high school either. We are located in NSW FYI.

 | I bought OPI’s Pearlcore with hopes it would be a way to mimic the finish of last years “Surf Naked” and “Bikini Boardroom” so I could do a full skittle of pearly polishes…. It doesn’t really do that (maybe I need Kyoto Pearl?), but I still think it adds a great finish to bring a skittle together! I will say, it looks better over the first four colors and doesn’t work as well over the pink- for some reason the cream color of the topper comes through more over the pink. It has a moderate pink/teal shift that doesn’t come through in the photos- to me it kind of mimics chrome powder, but with brush strokes. So I did just that…I was literally sleeping on a mattress on the living room floor under the pool table and my kids were tetrused into another room so our living situation sucked, I had no car, no job, didn’t know anyone or anything about where I was at…but witihin a year I had a job, a car, and an apartment!!!
I was so flipping proud of me and I learned a lot that year about myself and that my “fairytale relationship” that I pretended I had was more like a toxic love story.’ Betrayal trauma left and right but I didn’t know what that even was persay let alone how to deal with it and he was gone how can I ask him anything now? So I just left it all and buried it! Then almost 2 months after moving into our apartment my husband came into our life and swept us off our feet! Our knight in shining armor! He was amazing! We fell in love fast as we were both coming from complicated relationships as he was divorced years earlier as his wife was not faithful to him or the marriage.
That was 12 years ago and now, it’s been one hell of a week! I am utterly exhausted I can barely keep my eyes open. I hate feeling like this and it’s making me feel crazy! So here is our story…I could tell from our first sexual encounter that he didn’t seem comfortable or know how to completely handle the situation. Get all obsessive over my phone thinking I was talking to guy and I get the fear and hurt of being betrayed but I never used my sexuality to get anything I needed or wanted! Everyone has a line and I was just trying to be superwoman and yeah it helped numb all that pain that was lingering? And in the end majority of my recovery was done on my own as it should be but support means everything! I have been checking in every 2 weeks if not more for over 4 years to keep myself accountable and I have to say…All This…is such a big friggin trigger!
And I just quit smoking a month ago 🤪 anyway he also blurted out that he had a porn addiction and I heard him but I didn’t really process as I had to work on me for a while. I admit I had no idea what a porn addiction really was? So I thought ok he will work on it now that he admitted it? But nope…we had a dead bedroom on and off for years and when we did do anything I always had to initiate it and this is usually by the point of like “dude I’m your wife I may not be a supermodel however I love you and I find you sexy and attractive and I just need some kind of touch & intimacy, pure desperation! It’s sad…why am I sitting here desperately seeking a deeper connection with my partner when he chooses a million other woman over me again and again? That’s the big question?
So here we are after all this coming to ahead in Feb after finding Only Fans charges. So I did just that…I was literally sleeping on a mattress on the living room floor under the pool table and my kids were tetrused into another room so our living situation sucked, I had no car, no job, didn’t know anyone or anything about where I was at…but witihin a year I had a job, a car, and an apartment!!! I was so flipping proud of me and I learned a lot that year about myself and that my “fairytale relationship” that I pretended I had was more like a toxic love story.’ Betrayal trauma left and right but I didn’t know what that even was persay let alone how to deal with it and he was gone how can I ask him anything now? So I just left it all and buried it! Then almost 2 months after moving into our apartment my husband came into our life and swept us off our feet! Our knight in shining armor! He was amazing! I honestly could not believe I was lucky enough to have found someone so wonderful and someone that wanted to get to know my kids as well. We fell in love fast as we were both coming from complicated relationships as he was divorced years earlier as his wife was not faithful to him or the marriage.
That was 12 years ago and now, it’s been one hell of a week! I am utterly exhausted I can barely keep my eyes open. I hate feeling like this and it’s making me feel crazy! So here is our story…I could tell from our first sexual encounter that he didn’t seem comfortable or know how to completely handle the situation. It wasn’t bad just awkward…like he was nervous or not as experienced but we were all over each other in the beginning like most couples. He said some awful things and I just took it thinking I deserved it 🤷♀️ he would ask me if I was out sucking d*** for pills? Get all obsessive over my phone thinking I was talking to guy and I get the fear and hurt of being betrayed but I never used my sexuality to get anything I needed or wanted! Everyone has a line and I was just trying to be superwoman and yeah it helped numb all that pain that was lingering? And in the end majority of my recovery was done on my own as it should be but support means everything! I have been checking in every 2 weeks if not more for over 4 years to keep myself accountable and I have to say…All This…is such a big friggin trigger! And I just quit smoking a month ago 🤪 anyway he also blurted out that he had a porn addiction and I heard him but I didn’t really process as I had to work on me for a while. I admit I had no idea what a porn addiction really was? So I thought ok he will work on it now that he admitted it? But nope…we had a dead bedroom on and off for years and when we did do anything I always had to initiate it and this is usually by the point of like “dude I’m your wife I may not be a supermodel however I love you and I find you sexy and attractive and I just need some kind of touch & intimacy, pure desperation! It’s sad…why am I sitting here desperately seeking a deeper connection with my partner when he chooses a million other woman over me again and again? That’s the big question?
So here we are after all this coming to ahead in Feb after finding Only Fans charges. The first 3 months I thought we were working recovery and I opened my heart and my body up again which was a big deal for me to just feel way up and more in love than ever as they make you feel like you’re the one…the one that can help them fight this as they love you so much. That you are everything to them and they think you are sexy, beautiful, they love your body and everything about you; and whereas that may be true? How are we suppose to feel that when we are always second to your fantasies that then cross over to stronger content cuz that’s just how it goes…? Introduction: I hate Kaorin with a burning passion with my nonexistent heart. I just wish that she was never in the show and that Azuma never conceptualized her. She just ruins every scene she's a part of even as just a background character. It pisses me off everytime she became the main focus of the scene or even the whole episode. She was never funny or really contributed any relevant things to the plot in general and it's just there so it can fill up pages whenever ideas are short for the day, kind of like a useless filler character that no one should really care for but somehow through the power of just sheer luck, she became a popular character in the series and it just pisses me off to high hell and back. I just wanna say that I am writing this not because of "homophobia" or whatever you Westerners call it, but rather through the lens of character plot relevance, and Kaorin just didn't need to exist.
Chapter 1: Zero Plot Relevance I don't really need to explain the plot of Azumanga Daioh to y'all as you've probably rewatched the anime at least a-hundred times or read the manga for double than that. But even after I analyzed and tried to piece together her relevance to the plot or just an ordinary setting, she just doesn't fit in. Take off Kaorin in any of her scenes and it would still make sense. Kaorin simply didn't need to be in any of that for the story to progress forward unlike other characters like Kagura, take her out then the show wouldn't make sense going forward as Tomo wouldn't have a rival like Sakaki and for Miss Yukari to justify being an asshole to Nyamo. She is just a redundant character only created to fit more spaces on panels as I've said before. "But OP, how about her conflict with Mr. Kimura and her love interest with Sakaki?" Well, Kimura ain't that specialized on her, if she didn't exist then he would've just picked a different high schooler. It may have been hinted at times especially when she was moved to his classroom, but that's because it was a forced conflict with Kimura. I don't want to repeat myself, but if it was a different person, then he would've still acted the same, put Chihiro with him and he would be obsessing over her the same exact way he did as with Kaorin. And for Sakaki, I would like to dedicate an enite chapter just for her.
Chapter 2: Sa-fucking-kaki Everyone knows how much Kaorin is infatuated over Sakaki and how much she wants to be with her all the time. Famously always having a mental, physical and emotional breakdown over the fact that she wasn't with her during summer break at Chiyo's summer home, and when she sees a photo of Sakaki wearing a bikini and her sleeping with Tomo. Now on the surface it's just a high schooler having a crush on her fellow classmate and there's nothing wrong with that, but this is where the show goes so bad. Her undying infatuation and her frustrations that she can't scissor her or some shit (not that it's ever hinted its a sexual relationship she's after) is so bad that I just want to skip those scenes and gloss over the pages whenever that happens. Sakaki couldn't care more about Kaorin and no matter how much headcanons you try to make into canon, it's not happening. Now to be frank with you, I haven't finished the manga yet so I may have not seen anything yet or I have just skipped over them, but idgaf. But it's clear Sakaki ain't even interested in any relationships at all, in fact, I can confidently say that she'd enjoy watching someone harm cats than be with Kaorin for a minute. She's just an annoying brat who thinks the world revolves around her and that she a product of all the gods and goddesses of love and beauty that Sakaki would just fall for her. And to tie in Chapter 1, remove Kaorin's love interest and the show would stay the same.
Chapter 3: Bad Representation This show, this motherfucking show is praised by having a lesbian character in the age where it was considered taboo on television by its fans. But no no nooooo. Speaking strictly as a gay person myself, gay since '97, when I first saw Kaorin on television, I was happy that we have 'good' representation on TV during a time where we're seen as second-class citizens. But after a while and rewatching the whole show, I came to realize that Kaorin, looks more like all types of negative stereotypes of LGBTQ+ people. She's loud, erratic, obsessive, irrational, damn near a creep, a stalker, and a crybaby. If 80's media and parents sees that, they would milk the heck out of it and bring it up on every conversation and debate much like how HIV/AIDS was blamed on us. Kaorin is so bad at being decent representation that it amazes me to this day on how much they can accidentally put as much negative stereotype on a lesbian character. I'm not saying Azuma is deliberately reinforcing those stereotypes or he's a bad writer, but man that was a missed opportunity to write a character that would've been better. This is why I just hate her guts so much.
Conclusion: Either way, Azuma did his best in trying to make Kaorin an interesting character but failed. She could've been better imo but ended up being a character that held zero plot relevance to the point you can take her out and the story continues without a hitch. I hate her.
