2024.06.02 11:01 Sensitive-Detail69 Can porn addiction and sexting be treated?

I (f28) and my husband (m34) have together for 10 years, he's the only one I've ever been with. Married for 6 years now.
He was sexting (very graphic very explicit nudes) multiple girls idk how many my finger couldn't stop scrolling. 200?300? Idk. Some of them he told "i love you". Some he told "I'm proud of you" after she told him she passed an exam, some he said " i wanna live with you" All of this at night while I'm sleeping next to him. The last message was sent when I was taking a shower getting ready for him he texted a girl who said she wants him inside he replied "how deep" while I'm showering for him.....
I love(d) him. He helped financially and emotionally. He says he loves me and it's just porn to him nothing serious no feeling no physical. "just porn"
As men, can you love someone and do this? Should I continue with him and take him to therapy or is this hopeless? Will I find love? Am I old? 28? Should I give a fourth chance? Is this curable?
History: In 2013 he left me for his ex, she ghosted him later and he came back to me. In 2015 proposal and engagement, I find out he's flirting with girls (one main girl he met at uni while doong a speech). I forgave. In 2018 right before our wedding, I found out he's flirting (nothing sexual to my knowledge). I told my dad. My dad was pissed and told him:" you made my daughter cry when she's still at my house, what will you do when she's fully with you?" husband apologized, i moved on. Wedding happened. 3 days ago I felt weird since he traveled with his male friends without me, and was emphasizing he didn't do anything sexual. I felt weird about this unsolicited explanation so I checked his phone

This place is such a shit hole!
If you ever watch the joy of a bunch of lazy idiots standing around scratching their heads wondering why no one wants to work with them. You should apply.
Ben-"The smartest man in the room" This "leader" is an ass hat. A tall fat sassy catty insecure human being whose greatest defense mechanism is insulting anyone who has intelligent contribution....why...you say? He has issues forming an intelligent reply so he just belittles anyone that actually wants to improve Shadowfax. He lives his workdays avoiding responsibility, promoting this agencies Bully culture and is a creature terrified of being revealed for truly mediocre he really is.
Jen. If fisting Ben's ass with her nose was an Olympic sport...she would bring home the pure gold baby. She spends her days in her office grazing snack foods and grooming her toxic ways. Warning though...this shrew should she find the slightest flaw in a peer..everyone shall know besides them. The only thing more polarizing than this miserable bags two faced ways is her she male fiestas ability to blend make up. Every day I wake up and thank God she is not an English teacher because those she teaches how write isps turn out rather mediocre. Tragically mediocre.
Mary-this playdoh elfs vast circumference is only eclipsed by her ability send passive aggressive emails demanding perfection. Her other skills involves writing passive aggressive post-its and make sure everyone knows what is not her job. As a hobby...she stars in horror films where the unlucky DSP goes into a bathroom, tuns out the light, and says "playdoh mary" three times. And then a passive aggressive message appears on setworks. The true horror is her kindness to your face the lies she puts in spreadsheets to show Jen once she wipes her nose.
Jannelle- living proof that you can rub two brain cells together and get a blob of clay. If that wasn't tragic enough she spends her days sending overly punctuated texts begging people to work so she has time work on both her faces.
Thier leader is open bag of Ramen noodles taped to a table lamp with a broken light bulb. When she's not trying to pass off a shitty power point as a tactical plan she runs around in circles asking 2 questions. Why does no one wanna work here? The other question is when Ben polishes an unoriginal piece of shit from his old job 5+ years and tries to market it as innovation. This salty bag of noodles hyperventilates in excitement sending surveys asking are we local leaders yet?
Those underneath them are underdeveloped, devoid of real leadership, and not taught or given the skulls or knowledge to succeed.
Why? These clowns live everyday terrified if someone actually knows what thier doing approaches they will be discovered for the fakes that they are and loose their exuberant income.
The joy is in watching them wonder why no one wants to work with them. One day they will run out of fingers to point.

2024.06.02 10:59 Beginning-Eagle-8932 [maybe ASB] Why the Seven Months War between Indonesia and the Philippines was the most Ace Combat-like war ever.

Mostly based upon this: https://www.reddit.com/acecombat/comments/islc7v/the_100_hour_war_between_el_salvador_and_honduras/
1: The war started for a stupid reason, but it was more complex than that.
The Seven Months War has another which people also know it as: the "Second Football War" or the "Second Soccer War". While tensions between Indonesia and the Philippines had been escalating for years, basically because of Indonesian migrant workers and families being blamed by the right-wing government as scapegoats for some of the country's problems, which resulted in Indonesians being discriminated more and more as the years passed by. The real problem was in fact how Russia manipulated the election to let President Fernando win. In turn, his party founded the Philippine Center for Fundamental Rights, which was anti-working class, anti-immigration, and anti-Muslim. This organization put pressure on the Filipino Government to "protect their nation". By 2025, Indonesian immigrants were being removed from their land, regardless of how they acquired it, their immigration status, or even whether they were married to a Filipino or not. Many Indonesians were being expelled from the Philippines by force. To say Filipinos and Indonesians didn't like each other was a big understatement.
In 2027, a Filipino football club from Manila and an Indonesian one from Jakarta were both in a two-round qualifying match for the 2027-28 edition of the AFC Champions League Elite. The first game was held in Manila, and the Indonesians were met with violence, a fight between fans erupted in the streets (quickly turning into a riot), and Filipinos were gathered all night at the hotel where the Jakarta team was staying to make noise and keep them up all night. Manila won and Jakarta lost 1-0. An 18 year old Indonesian girl named Aisyah Samudra couldn't take this and killed herself. Her funeral was used in Indonesia to bolster national sentiment, hundreds gathered in the streets to say their final goodbyes as her coffin was transported down the streets of Jakarta like she was a national hero.
The second game took place in Jakarta, and Filipinos were met with violence, Indonesians stayed around the hotel where the Manila team was staying to make noise all night long, some flagpoles at the stadium had dirty rags instead of the Filipino flag, Jakarta won, and Manila lost 2-1. The coach from Manila, while he and his team were on the way to the airport inside an APC (because it was too unsafe for them to simply go in a regular bus), was recorded as saying to his players "It's a good thing that we lost."
Over 20000 Indonesian immigrants were forced out of the Philippines, many not by the Government, but by Filipinos that burned down their houses, their businesses, and even killed some of their family members. A similar scenario occured in Indonesia, where 10000 Filipinos were displaced. The AFC demanded a third game in neutral ground (Singapore), and it is said that, on the day that game happened, Indonesia and the Philippines cut all ties and closed all diplomatic channels with each other. Manila won that third game and Jakarta lost 3-2 during overtime, and Manila was qualified for the 2027-28 ACL Elite group stage.
  1. Military actions were done in unusual ways by the Indonesian Air Force.
A month after that final defeat, Indonesia launched a surprise attack and invaded the Philippines. The Indonesian Army and Navy quickly began gaining ground in the Philippines, and within a month had full control of Mindanao and Palawan, setting up occupation governments in the places they captured, with the goal of reaching and conquering Manila.
All of Indonesia was placed into lockdown as the Indonesian Air Force began their attack as well. The Indonesian Air Force didn't have any dedicated bombers, so they mostly used C-130 cargo planes with bombs in their cargo bays. The Indonesian Air Force used Rafales and Su-27 Flankers as escorts for the bombers, wile also using F-16 Vipers and Su-30 Flankers to deal with ground targets. A long-range strike into Villamor Air Base in Pasay City, which was part of the Mega Manila area, caught the Filipinos by surprise.
So the first mission is a surprise bombing raid, typical for an Ace Combat game.
  1. While the Philippine Army and Navy didn't really stop the Indonesian offensive, the Philippine Air Force did.
As the the Filipino surface forces were getting owned in the Visayas, the PAF, the Philippine Air Force, began the counterattack. While Villamor Air Base near Manila was attacked, it was still fully operational, and with the fighters that fled there, the Philippines, using T-50s as primary strike craft, escorted by F-16s and MiG-29s, launched attacks on Indonesian ground targets in Palawan and Visayas to stop the advancing Indonesian military. This included a long-range attack on oil and fuel facilities in Palawan and nearby Kalinmatan. The attacks were successful, and multiple crucial fuel tanks were destroyed, wasting a large amount of Indonesian fuel. This left the forces in Palawan without fuel, and without fuel, they couldn't continue their advance towards Manila.
There's the second mission: Destroying an oil rig, or some base filled with fuel tanks.
The most well-trained troops in the Filipino military were the ones tasked with protecting Manila, so they were not at the front lines with the counteroffensive. The Philippine Air Force and the Philippine Navy managed to stuff them all onto ships and transport/cargo planes, and sent them to the front lines to reinforce the front in preparation for the counteroffensive.
Third mission: Escort duty, defend some plane or ships and help them transport some Army unit.
  1. Most fighters in the Indonesian Air Force who got shot shot down in a dogfight with Philippine Air Force were downed by the same pilot, who was accountable for more than 50% of Filipino air-to-air kills.
Captain John Hernandez, flying a Viper, achieved 41 aerial victories over the course of the war, becoming a Filipino Ace of Aces and earning a nickname: the Sparrow. He also became Ace-in-a-day within the second month of the war, downing 2 Indonesian Flankers during an air raid, and later shooting down 6 Rafales on his way home.
That's right, the Indonesian Air Force was getting owned in the sky after their initial success by just one fighter pilot: Captain John "Sparrow" Hernandez. There's your protagonist/player character with a Red Baron nickname right there.
  1. Both sides had basically the same planes, but one side had this neat camo pattern that clearly set them aside.
You might have noticed how most of the i've mentioned are US-made or Russian-made. That's because Indonesia and the Philippines bought F-16s from the US and Indonesia bought some flankers from Russia, while the Philippines bought some old MiGs from Poland. Indonesia used Flankers and Rafales as primary fighter, while using Vipers and T-50s as fighter-bombers, whereas the Philippines used F-16s and T-50s mainly in a fighter role with Super Tucanos and OV-10 Broncos as primary attack planes. It wasn't hard to tell the two countries' planes apart from each other, for example, while Filipino Vipers used the same grey paint scheme used by the US, Indonesia had a military camo pattern applied to their F-16s (as seen here).
So, there you go: Both sides have (mostly) the same planes and both sides have distinct paint schemes on their planes.
  1. In desperation from the Filipino counteroffensive, Indonesia began buying plane parts (and sometimes planes themselves) from anywhere they could and began to hire mercenary pilots to fly them.
Four months into the war, having lost both planes and pilots, and with the Army and Navy starting to lose ground in the Visayas, and having practically completely lost Palawan, Indonesia got desperate. they began getting new airframes and spare parts from whereever they could (they basically bought them from scrapyards that had them), made the frames combat-worthy again, and hired mercenary pilots to fly them, giving them provisional Air Force ranks (and, for many, fake identities).
One such pilot was Major Anatoly Fyodorov, a Russian mercenary fighter pilot who was fresh off the Essequibo War, who used the Su-30 as his plane of choice.
So here we have the big scary opponent Ace with a backstory who flies Russian aircraft.
  1. The war ended after just seven months (hence the name), after the counteroffensive succeeded in retaking all of Mindanao. And nothing really changed afterward.
After the Phlippines sucessfully retook Mindanao and the nearby Sulu archipelago, Indonesia had ASEAN intervene in the war, and after the US threatened military action in the event of any further attacks from Indonesia, both parties would cease hostilities and sign a peace treaty in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, thus ending the war. The reasons for the tensions remained, however, as President Fernando would continue his policies (until he was voted out of office), and Indonesia would continue to displace Filipinos.
So the Philippines won, the war ended, and the peace treaty was agreed upon, but the whole "wars happen because countries exist" view still remains.
Oh, and don't forget the evil Russia and is leader, Vladimir Putin being the evil mastermind in the background.
A few months after the war, Captain Hernandez's F-16 is in display on a museum in Manila, kept there as a monument of sorts. So there you have the end credits scene honoring the memory of the lone pilot protagonist.
Most of everything was there, all that was left is the obligatory enemy superweapon. (And the once-a-game tunnel run.)
Sorry if i offended anyone here.

2024.06.02 10:59 stupidfuckingnam3 Boomer freaking out about food

Not my story but my brother told me of an experience he had on shift today at iga (local store here in Australia)
My brother is on shift in the deli where he prepares the food for customers. An old lady who "looked like she's smoked since she'd popped out the womb" walks up to the counter and asks for a kransky. He throws the kransky in the deep fryer and continues arranging the ham in the display. 30 seconds after he puts the sausage in the fryer the lady bellows out asking if its finished frying. He looks up confused, saying it usually takes 2 minutes to finish cooking. She gets angry and goes off at him (nearly non-understandable rambling) about terrible service and how he should be ashamed. Once the kransky finished cooking he handed it to her and told her to go pay at the counter. She opens the packet without paying and takes a large bite of the sausage. She spits it back into the bag saying that its not hot enough and demanding that he remake it. after talking to his manager, my brother gets the go-ahead to make it again for the lady. This time, he takes the thermometer and inserts it into one end of the sausage and frys it with the thermometer sticking out. At this point the ladyvsays shes going to do aome shopping while the food cooks. To ensure that the sausage is adequately hot, my brother decides to heat it up to 75 degrees Celsius. Insanely hot for food, my brother really wanted this lady to have a "properly heated sausage". The sausage finished at 75 degrees, basically burnt all over. The lady was not at the deli anymore so brother decides to leave it in the oven to keep ita heat. about 10 minutes later the boomer comes to claim her sausage. He packages it up and slaps the barcode on it. The lady then grabs it, rears the package open and takes another big bite. She once again complaines about it being too cold. 75 degrees c. So my brother (who has gotten in trouble for mouthing off at customers in the past) tells he that if she want to eat a lump of coal that she can find briquettes in the flammables section. Boomer had entered screech mode This old hag starts screaming loadly about how disrespectful he was and that she is going to leave a bad review on google. The manager comes around the corner to see whats happening, sees the old lady screeching, and tries to go back before she sees him. This does not work. She yells at him to "deal with this degenerate cunt". The manager comes and asks the lady what happened. She rambles so incoherently that she is unintelligible. Manager tells her she can get the sausages for free in an attempt to get her to leave. She decides shes had enough and leaves with a massive "FUCK ALL YOU CUNTS".
Tl:dr brother mouthes off to a boomer that wont stop complaining, bommer enters attack mode.

2024.06.02 10:56 LastTimeOn_ The Mexican Federal Election, Explained (Part 1)

It’s officially June 2nd, folks, as I'm submitting this. The Big Day is here not chance the rapper’s wedding, the day of the 2024 Mexican federal elections. Both in-country citizens and those living abroad who registered for the process will be voting (at the very least) for the next President of the Mexican Republic, their state’s Senators and their federal Deputies. Depending on the state they live in, there will also be elections for Governor, local Deputies and Mayors. The total number of positions up to a vote is 20,708 spots, across both federal and local elections, the greatest ever in the history of Mexico. Even though it sounds like a cliché, it’s true – the results of this election will determine Mexico’s course for the near future, and some argue for the rest of the country’s existence.

STRUCTURE OF THE MEXICAN FEDERAL SYSTEM
To understand the importance of what’s at stake we have to start with the basics. For right now I’ll focus on the federal side of the election as I think that’s what most want to learn more about (I’ll bring up state-level issues later; they can still affect the result).
The Mexican federal system is tripartite, divided in the usual way – the President is the executive, the Supreme Court being the figurehead for the judicial branch, and Congress through both the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate representing the legislative.
The President is elected via FPTP for only one term lasting six years, called a sexenio. There hasn’t been much actual innovation in the process of voting for the President, aside from the notable shifts in voting tendencies every six years since the 2000 election, which ended the 71-year-long run of the PRI in power. The current president is Andrés Manuel López Obrador, or AMLO as he’s commonly known, elected in 2018.
The Senate is composed of 128 senators. 96 of these come from a majority system and 32 are elected via national proportional representation party lists. Of the 96 majority senators, 64 are elected as winning pairs in each of the 32 states, known as the “first and second formulas.” The remaining 32 are the “first minority” winners, in other words the second placers in the Senate elections. This, alongside the PR senators, is supposed to even the playing field for opposition parties. Senate elections are concurrent with presidential ones, also lasting six years, but they are able to be reelected for one term more.
The Chamber of Deputies, meanwhile, is composed of 500 deputies. 300 of these are the FPTP winners of each of the 300 electoral districts nationwide. The other 200 are PR party-list deputies divided between 5 circumscriptions, or at-large districts. These districts are roughly equivalent in population and roughly represent the 5 main regions of the country – western Mexico, headed by Guadalajara, northern Mexico, headed by Monterrey, southeastern Mexico, headed by Xalapa, the capital of Veracruz, south-central Mexico, headed by Mexico City, and southwestern Mexico, headed by Toluca the capital of Mexico State. Deputy elections are every three years; an elected deputy is able to get reelected for three more terms. These reelection changes were set into law with the 2014 political-electoral reform package and came into practice in 2018 for the 2021 elections, the first time any federal-level politician was allowed to run for continuous reelection since the Mexican Revolution.
All these elections are managed by the National Electoral Institute (INE, its acronym in Spanish). The INE is, quite literally, a superpowered FEC – aside from the basic role of taking note of who is campaigning for what, it controls ballot access, it manages campaign ad times on TV to the second, it makes sure that candidates do not say anything that can be out of electoral law, it sets up the format and the broadcasting of debates…it is the reason that Mexican elections flow (relatively) smoothly.
Alongside the INE stand the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Power of the Federation (TEPJF) and the OPLEs, the Local Electoral Public Organisms, creating the entire Mexican electoral system. The Tribunal, as you can guess, is where affected parties (in the legal sense) can go dispute any potential circumstance that affects them. During campaign season this is mostly just “candidate X was a meanie to me – candidate Y” type affairs, but post-election its importance ramps up as it helps resolve close calls in elections – something people say will be especially important this time around. The OPLEs are mini-INEs for each of the 32 states, managing the electoral matters of localities and replicating the faculties of the INE for local elections.
The Mexican electoral system is complex out of post-uniparty distress. Before the IFE (the INE’s precursor), elections were handled by a commission under the purview of the Secretary of Government. You can guess where this goes. It was one of the main ways the PRI held power for so long – elections were free but unfair. During the 1990s when the Mexican system liberalized the creation of an independent electoral agency was one of the main goals, and as far as creating the conditions for fair elections, over the five full sexenios it has existed since 1990, I’d say it has generally succeeded.
The main characters of elections, however, are obviously not the institutions, but the political actors themselves through political parties. This election, there’s seven of them at play.
THE PARTIES (AND THEIR COALITIONS)
For the 2024 election, the seven parties running are divided into two main coalitions and one running a single candidate – Fuerza y Corazón por México, composed by the PRI, PAN and PRD, Sigamos Haciendo Historia, with Morena, PVEM and PT, and Movimiento Ciudadano.
Fuerza y Corazón por México (Strength and Heart for Mexico)
The opposition coalition, composed of the National Action Party (PAN), the Revolutionary Institutional Party (PRI), and the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD). A big-tent coalition, center-left to center-right. Their candidate is former Senator Xóchitl Gálvez.
PAN – The opposition by excellence. Founded in the 40s by a group of lawyers, doctors and other professionals to serve as a balance to the nationalistic policies of the PRI from back then. Due to the Mexican system, it only controlled some municipalities until the election of their first governor in 1989, and from there on, winning the presidency with Vicente Fox in 2000 and repeating with Felipe Calderón in 2006. “Humanistic” according to their doctrine, but conservative according to many you’d ask. More so in the Christian democratic tradition, but their party is still a big tent – from reactionary firebrands like Senator Lilly Téllez to progressive pro-market types like Xóchitl herself.
PRI – The former Mexican dominant party, now a shell of its former self. With 71 years of one-party rule that ended dramatically in 2000, the PRI has shapeshifted over the decades. From standard-bearers of the post-revolutionary cause to nationalistic expropriators, from technocratic liberators to Congressional opposition, from centrist reformers to a second place in this coalition of unequals, it has somehow managed to survive when people announce its demise. With how coalitions are structured in ballots, the desertion of its former clientelist and syndicalist bases to Morena, and the constant kick-outs and self-exiles of politicians who don’t agree with the current party president, however, who knows how many more times the PRI can cheat death before it’s truly over.
PRD – A party that began with a bang and is ending with a whimper. Created from the aftermath of the 1988 election where many believed (and still do) that left-wing candidate Cuauhtemoc Cardenas had his victory stolen, the PRD was, until a few years ago, really a front itself of multiple left-wing groups that constantly squabbled amongst each other. Its main political bastion was Mexico City, where it governed continuously from 1997 to 2018, and southern Mexico in general. Many of its former members and voters moved on to Morena, leaving the party in the hands of a few groups trying to keep it alive. Already it lost its registry in several states, and it’s close to do so nationwide. This might be its last election the PRD runs in.
Sigamos Haciendo Historia (Let’s Keep Making History)
The governing coalition, composed of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena), the Ecologist Green Party of Mexico (PVEM), and the Labor Party (PT). Leftist/populist, their candidate is former Mexico City mayor Claudia Sheinbaum.
Morena – AMLO’s personal project, it first started as one of the many groups inside the PRD, only to then spin off when he broke off from that party after the 2012 elections, becoming a civil association in 2013 and officially a party a year later. With AMLO at the forefront, the party got its big break in 2018 by winning the presidency, a majority in the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, and several governorships. Only more wins came after that in more states – currently, it holds the governor’s seat in 21 of the 32. Morena’s ideology is…confusing. It can best be described as a populist platform, with a typical class-battle message and lots of focus on marginalized communities of all types. However, it doesn’t really attempt that through typical leftist means, like raising taxes on the wealthy. Instead, it goes for a vaguely Norquistian “starve the beast” method, with the reasoning that governmental and economic power have been connected for too long. Austerity is the name of the game, at least on that end. These saved funds are then channeled to voters through its main policy proposal – social programs. Pensions for old people, student scholarships, disability checks…direct cash transfers and the clientele they bring are what the party’s become best at. Add onto them the syndicalist and rural structures that its brought onto the fold from the PRI and you can see where exactly it’s obtained so much goodwill (and votes) from.
Green Party (PVEM) – The most questionable party in a political scene already filled with questionable actors, the Green Party can be summed up in one word – controversy. Founded by a former PRI member in 1986, it limped along until somehow in the 90s it started getting votes. After that, it found its calling – being the willing coalition partner for any party that needs votes. In 2000 it aligned with the PAN to help elect Fox, from 2003 to 2018 it was in a long relationship with the PRI, and in 2019 it became a proud Morena ally. Over the years, it has championed such pro-environment proposals as: burning trash to generate electricity, giving medicine vouchers to families, and the death penalty! Wait a minute, weren’t these guys green? Ehhhh…the founder’s son once said that “they represented interests, not the ecology,” and the European Greens outright stripped the party its official designation of Being Green (TM). Aside from that, they’re known for a small scandal of TV celebrities being spokespeople for them in movie theater ads, a small scandal of an unauthorized resort development in Cancun, a small scandal of a murder of a Bulgarian model in a party…the Greens have been called “the worst of the worst” in Mexican politics. Rightfully so?
Labor Party (PT) – The PT is a party that, to be quite frank with y’all, dear readers, I don’t understand how (or to be more precise, why) it still exists. Formed in 1990 by a group of various left-wing and agrarian organizations, the PT has a typical leftist-socialist ideology, but never much actual presence nationally aside from being the coalition partner of the PRD or Morena. It’s tried running its own candidates for governors, but they never went anywhere – all its governorships have been as part of a coalition. It’s also only ever had its own presidential candidate once, in 1994 with Cecilia Soto – she obtained 4th place with a little less than a million votes. It has never been a highly voted party – in deputy elections, the most it obtained was in the 2009 midterms with about 3.7% of the vote. Last midterm, it reached 1.14%. It already escaped the loss of its registry in 2015 thanks to the goodwill of the PRD and MC in annulling an election. Who knows if it can this time?
Finally, there's Movimiento Ciudadano, with Jorge Álvarez Máynez as their candidate.
Movimiento Ciudadano (Citizens’ Movement) – Originally Convergencia in 1999, MC describes itself as social-democratic. They're a more modern left compared to the governing coalition, showing throughout the years proposals on urbanism, federalism, and a focus on GSMs. While for most of its existence it was another minor party that’d run in alliance with the PRD, MC shook up the scene in 2018 by winning the governorship and most municipalities in the state of Jalisco with Enrique Alfaro, followed by the 2021 meme-based winning campaign of Samuel García in Nuevo León. Samuel’s specifically set the tone for how MC would start running – flashy campaigns with candidates boasting about them being “the new politics” (debatable). Right now, the party is at an important fork, depending on how its first-ever homegrown presidential candidate Máynez does. If he reaches a good percentage of votes, MC will have the chance to be kingmaker in Congress, setting themselves up in a good position for the next elections. But if too many voters decide to go for one of the coalitions, the decision to run solo might accidentally have been the party’s downfall.

Sorry for submitting this way too late – I was getting distracted all day lol. I’ll write a second part tomorrow (or I guess, later today?) with how we got here based on recent history, the candidate running and the polls. Either Monday or Tuesday I’ll write an aftermath post based on the results. To all my Mexican friends, happy voting, and to everybody else, thanks for sticking around til the end.

As someone who's always on the lookout for ways to organize my truck better, I recently tried out the Decked Tool Box with Core Trax - ATB4. I must say, it has been a game-changer for me. The sturdy aluminum extrusion is a great addition, providing a solid base for securing all sorts of items. One of my favorite features is the no-snag corners, which keeps my cargo area looking neat and tidy.
The pull-out rating of 500 lbs is impressive, allowing me to secure heavy tools and equipment without worrying about them coming loose. The stainless steel loops are a thoughtful touch, providing a strong and secure attachment point. With the Core Trax, I can easily tie down my tools, saving both time and effort in my daily routine.
However, there is one downside to this product - the size. It fits perfectly with the Decked Tool Box, but it may be a bit too large for smaller trucks or vehicles. Additionally, the installation process can be a bit tricky for those who are not familiar with L-Track mounting systems.
Overall, the Decked Tool Box with Core Trax - ATB4 is a highly versatile and functional product that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to organize their vehicle's cargo area. Its sturdiness and easy-to-use design make it an excellent investment for anyone who spends a lot of time on the road.

2024.06.02 10:54 rockettdarr Dogs knocking old people over…

I’m an amazon delivery driver and something that’s been happening lately is when I deliver and meet the owner outside they have their dogs.
The problem is that older people buy puppies…BIG puppies, like big dog breeds. So when they jump up on their owner they KNOCK THEM OVER??
It’s such an awkward experience. One happened in someone’s lawn and one happened in the middle of the street…I’m in my early twenties. I’ve always heard of old people falling but seeing it in person is crazy. They just kind of flop over with their dogs. They hit the ground pretty hard. I’m not sure what the logic is with getting a massive dog at that age (50-70) but…yeah.

2024.06.02 10:54 OzzyinKernow Additional health benefits of semaglutide?

Hello everyone. I’ve just joined the sub and had a look through but I thought I might say hello with this question if that’s ok. I took my first Wegovy jab last night. I’m a 95kg/210lb male, 48 years old, short and muscular build, bmi of about 33. My wife had success with ozempic, losing close about thirty pounds.
I wanted to ask what kind of additional benefits you guys had seen with this? I am on two medications for hypertension which only partly succeed. Typical Bp is 140/90. Resting heart rate is low though, about 52-55. I run a lot. I also had rhabdomyolysis about a year ago (went too hard in a week of strength sessions and my arms swelled up looney tunes style!) so I have permanent but low level kidney damage from that.
Have you seen improvement in other health areas as a result of this treatment, and/or related factors? Cheers all

2024.06.02 10:49 Kawynski Reddit is the worst most garbage thing I ever had and it's making me unbelievably angry

I'm using third party clients because the original app and even the site is the worst piece of shit I ever had and witnessed. How the fuck does anyone even use the original thing willingly and don't go crazy in a couple of days? Posts and texts are bugging, you can't edit your fucking title in the year 2024, the loading times are worse than a fucking computer from 1987, they force you to use their app, you can't read NSFW posts per Google because they say install the fucking app, every damn subreddit has outrageous rules and removes your post in seconds because your 3 months account is still to old and you don't have 100000 karma like a fucking smelly neckbeard who fucks his anime doll.
God I hate Reddit and if it's not for Reddit Sync I would literally throw my fucking phone against the wall because I would rage so much. I even bet that my post right now gets deleted because the auto moderator or even a normal moderator has nothing better to do than waste his life being a moderator on reddit instead of doing something useful in his life. Fuck you Reddit, fuck you moderators, fuck every admins and creators of subreddits and fuck every one of you piece of shit developers who created and designed this shitty mess of garbage piece of shit.
I'm crying, I'm literally almost crying. I posted this on the rant subreddit and it got instantly deleted and then I posted this on the angry subreddit and it got instantly deleted. I really hope that someday a new social media comes over that makes Reddit bankrupt because it's so bad. At this point Reddit is literally North Korea, everything gets censored and deleted and you can do nothing about it because this site and their moderators don't give a fuck and enjoy their weak ass power trip.

2024.06.02 10:49 Better_Region9231 AITA for being rude towards my BIL?

My (18M) family went to a feast held at my SIL's Family and for context my BIL is 31 years old so there is a lot of age difference. The feast also was divided between males and females within the house and us males were 9-10 people in the room and this happened in that room.
Before we sat down to eat, we all were joking around and everyone was talking amongst themselves making conversation and I was using my phone but also following the conversation with some attention. My BIL was then telling us about how his wife loves cooking and makes amazing food items and I, with my negative IQ but also following the conversation, jokingly said "yeah we can see that" 🤦‍♂️ and he just chuckled then moved along the conversation. For info he is NOT overweight at all (his stomach bulging out etc nothing) but I would say he is quite bulky naturally without bodybuilding and such.
The second instance is when all the convos etc were done, he brought out the food in a tray (rice item) which was ordered from a restaurant but he joked around saying yeah I made it (it very obviously wasn't) and when the rice ran out he went into the kitchen to refill it. It took him well over 5-6 minutes to refill the tray and we were all just sitting idly waiting for the rice (not complaining and still had a joking mood in the room amongst ourselves) and when he came back with the tray I again jokingly said "did you went to refill it or cook it again" (not exact translation it was much less formal in my language) referring to the earlier joke but this time he smiled and just handed the tray down and I realized I embarrassed him a little bit? Like yk the feeling when you kept the guests waiting as the host (again we were not complaining it was chill with us).
Last context, before this me and BIL had two conversation (I tend to keep to myself and not indulge in conversations) and they were serious ones (he asked what my career plans were and I asked him for studies advice since we are in the same field) and my biggest concern which makes me the asshole IMO is the age difference between us and it was really disrespectful of me to be so frank with him especially since he hadn't joked around before and he is literally almost double my age.
So reddit AITA?

2024.06.02 10:48 Throwaway_Acc887 Postpartum Anxiety really getting to me - relative kissed my 5 week old baby.

My partners grandmother was visiting today and she kissed our 5 week old baby on the face.
The trouble is I wasn't close enough to see exactly where she kissed her, she was holding her and I just saw her get very close to my baby's face and then heard multiple smooch noises, I didn't say anything as I was in shock and she left pretty much straight after that.
I'm so upset as we haven't had any issues with people breaking boundaries or trying to kiss the baby until now. My anxiety is through the roof and I don't think has been this bad the whole time my baby's been born.. I've worried about plenty of things but not to this extreme level where I just feel sick from dread. I tried googling it for some reassurance but everything that came up only warned about how dangerous it can be so made me more stressed.
I feel really really worried, I think not knowing exactly where my baby was kissed is making it a lot worse but I am pretty certain she kissed her on her mouth. As soon as she left I wiped my baby's face and mouth with a baby wipe but I doubt that would actually do anything if something was passed on, she didn't have any obvious illnesses or cold sores but it's also winter where I live so it's cold and flu season 😭 I'm just so down about this and it's getting me down about post-partum anxiety in general - I love my baby more than anything and it sucks worrying that something awful could happen to her. Especially if it was from something so stupid and avoidable as a kiss from a relative.
I've been pretty relaxed about visitors until this point, most of them have been either friends or my partners family as my family live 5 hours away but now I just feel overwhelmed that his family are coming to see her so much, I've done a complete 180 and just wish people would stop wanting to see her every week.
I don't know what I'm looking for here but I just want to feel like things are ok again, my partner isn't worried at all and is almost making fun of me for thinking the baby is gonna "die from kisses". I hate this.

2024.06.02 10:48 LieutenantPatang Sarkar Reimagined

I am back after a break with another reimagining, and I thought this time I would tackle another movie that fell disappointingly short of expectations... Sarkar. Sarkar released to huge expectations after the success of both Thuppakki and Kaththi, but the film failed to deliver on its promise of a Mudhalvan-like political fantasy; I have to admit though, the movie is a guilty pleasure of mine which I do often revisit. That being said:
WARNING: I am not claiming to be a better writer than any of the people involved in the film and this is not a criticism of their ability.
The movie begins with a boarding meeting at one of the companies in Canada that GL (Sundar's company) is about to acquire. The members of the board nervously waiting for the arrival of their new boss, the media is waiting outside and we get the hype up for Sundar's eventual mass intro. After a build a of tension, a Rolls Royce pulls up and the camera follows as a man wearing pair of Tom Ford shoes exits the vehicle and walks into the elevator in the building as the media tries to snap some pics of him. The members of the board continue to wait impatiently, as the elevator doors open to reveal Sundar Ramaswamy (Vijay). He basically walks in doesn't say a word and sits at the head of the table. Sundar's lawyer drops the paperwork on the table, each member of the board takes their turn signing the document. Finally the document comes back to Sundar who flicks his signature onto it and gets up to leave, but one of the board members stops him to ask, "How do you feel after ruining the livelihood of 3,000 employees?". Sundar turns around and smiles at the board before doing the signature 'Vijay gum flick' and walking away in slow motion, queue the 'CEO in the House' song as Sundar heads out to celebrate acquiring the company. The scene is to establish Sundar as a proper overconfident and cocky 'corporate monster' instead of just telling us that he is a 'corporate monster'.
From there the movie continues pretty similarly with Sundar coming back to India to cast his vote, even though he takes his job very seriously he is still a patriot at heart and has a soft corner for his people. Same as the movie, someone else casts his vote and he begins organising lawyers meetings and press conference to get his vote back. All goes pretty much the same until the point Sundar's driver tells him about the atrocities done by the government and the family that set themselves on fire, Sundar is genuinely quite unaware of all this. Similar to the movie, he directs his convoy to go to the colony where the little girl is. Unlike the movie, we have one long take where the camera follows Sundar from behind as he gets out his car and walks through the local area, through the alleys and slums, observing the common folk; this is to show how out-of-touch he really is with reality. He finally comes to the little girl's house, and the camera finally pans to reveal Sundar's somber face; this scene is crucial as this paints his actions for the rest of the movie, it is important that we spend time showing how this incident impacts him. Unable to look at the girl's burnt face Sundar turns around and walks away, he signals his PA to sort the family out with treatment for the little girl.
From here, we go to the scene with Rendu (Radha Ravi) at the hotel; this will go pretty much exactly how it did in the movie. The only difference here is, going into the hotel Sundar is slightly solemn, but his expression slowly changes with Rendu's speech and we get the scene with the 'Topu Tuckeru' BGM as Sundar smokes. The following events also unravel similar to the film with the action block and the 'Simtaangaran song'; these are commercial filler compromises that must be made, its also a staple of the ARM-Vijay combo movies. The following scene is also similar with Sundar instigating the court case to stop Masilamani's inauguration, the key difference though is that Sundar doesn't speak in the court he silently watches from the stands as his lawyer does the arguing. Once the ceremony is stopped, he gets up, does the 'Vijay gum flick' and walks away in slow motion with the 'CEO in the House' BGM; this mirrors the opening scene where Sundar finesses the board room, but this time he's finessed the government. The election is postponed by 10 days.
Meanwhile, Masilamani is furious by what Sundar started, he encourages his party members to start rioting and to find where Sundar is. The riots go on for 2 days, but there is no sign of Sundar anywhere. Masilamani grows impatient and starts seeking advice from Pappa (Varalaxmi), who says that they shouldn't have tried instigated or started beef with him in the first place, saying that she will be back in Chennai within the next day or so. While this is happening, media crews have gathered outside Masilamani's house which confuses him. Rendu goes outside and asks them why they are here, for which they respond: 'Sundar told us to meet him here'. Both Rendu and Masilamani are shocked. Suddenly a convoy of youngsters on bikes arrive with a Rolls Royce travelling at the centre of the party. Sundar gets out of the Rolls Royce and he is followed by his lawyers. Sundar asks for permission to enter, for which Masilamani obliges. The two sit down and face each other, with Masilamani asking what Sundar wants. Sundar responds with this:
  1. "I've got 750 youngsters who are ready to work for this party."
  2. "I've got 40 crores in hard cash."
  3. "I've got the tag of GL CEO."
  4. "Will you let me join your party?"
Masilamani and his partymen are shocked, he asks Sundar 'Why should I let you?". Sundar basically responds by saying:
"Your party's image is in shambles, even if you pay people to vote for you, they won't do it. You're guaranteed to lose this election and there's nothing you can do about it. I'm here to offer you the winning card, I will do everything to ensure your party retains. All I ask for is 70cr in campaigning funds and that you give me 2 MLA seats and take in the 750 youngsters that I have brought as party members. If your party loses, I will pay you twice what you paid me as a penalty but regardless of the outcome you can't raise this to the media or I will sue your ass. If you agree, sign the contract. You can let your lawyers read over it, but you have nothing to lose."
Masilamani is shocked by this offer and looks over the contract, he doesn't know how to read so he passes it to his lawyer who verifies it and says that it's legit. Rendu proposes that they wait for Pappa before signing, but Sundar says "if you don't accept this within the next 1 hour, I will take it to the opposition party". Masilamani is properly checkmated now, but what could he possible have to lose? He smiles and signs it, Sundar smiles and shakes his hand. Sundar walks out with a cigarette in-hand, the 'Oru Viral Puratchi' guitar rift rolls in the background.
INTERMISSION
Going into the second half, we have a few questions:
NOTE: I completely ignored Keerthi Suresh's character as it added nothing to my story.
With 8 days left till the election Sundar sits in his office, he calls his team and GL and tells them to run the ads of him giving the post press conference speech after getting back his vote (as he does in the movie). This creates waves in the media and makes him the poster boy for the coming election. He tells his PA not to organise any press conferences until he says so. Sundar has booked out a small venue where he will be speaking to the 750 youngsters that he has inaugurated into the party, this is where he finally reveals what happened in the last 2 days. We get a flashback and it is revealed that he ultimately did the same as what happened in the movie; to run an internet scan on all the most suitable candidates of each constituency and run interviews like a corporate company (I really like the idea of this), he positions the people he selected as independant candidates in their respective constituency. Sundar has been planning this since the scene with Rendu at the hotel; this all plays as a montage over the first half of 'Oru Viral Puratchi'. After the song we cut back to this speech with Sundar and the youth, where he basically says we are going to infiltrate this party from the inside and then he says the 'branding' dialogue from the movie (which I like the idea of, the mannerism was kinda cringe though).
Following the speech, Sundar enacts his next plan. He identifies Masilamani's candidates who are most likely to win in their respective area and launches a smear campaign through his influence over GL. This forces Masilamani to identify alternate party members to take their place, but Sundar presents Masilamani with the constituency polling data which shows that the independant candidates (that he selected based on the internet scan) are in the lead. Sundar suggests to Masilamani that they buy them out with a salary (also like corporate company), however Masilamani doesn't know that these individuals were planted by Sundar. Masilamani is beginning to get suspicious about Sundar's plan but he still hasn't fully sniffed it out yet given his lack of understanding about technology.
Pappa finally arrives in Chennai from Canada and confronts her dad about everything that has happened, she is shocked to find out that he has basically sold the party to Sundar. She is quickly able to deduce Sundar's plan based on the information given by her dad and Rendu. Pappa also reveals here that her husband was one of the board members from the start of the movie, which explains why she knows so much about Sundar.
Given that Sundar now controls most of the seats in the party, he begins his campaign from the background with candidates doing most of the work ; this plays over the second half of the 'Oru Viral Puratchi' song. As soon as this montage finishes, we find out that Masilamani has died. A confusion has now arisen as to who controls the party, with only 3 days left until the election. Pappa gives an angry press conference saying that Sundar had cheated her dad and stole the party, revealing the contract to the public. She also announces that she and her father's loyal supporters will be joining the opposition party. Based on the sympathy votes gained from her father's death the opposition offers Pappa a significant number of seats. Sundar is shocked to see what has happened, he won't be able to sue Pappa as Masilamani was the one that signed the contract (not sure about legal terms, but lets just go with it), suing her will also only get him more negative press.
Sundar gets a call from the GL board questioning him about his extensive involvement in politics given the bad press around his contract stunt. Cut to the next scene, Sundar is in a press conference and publicly announces his resignation from GL as he is about to leave the stage, he is heckled by one of the reporters on his way down. Sundar has to give up his company assets such as his PA and bodyguards, if he loses this election he still owes Masilamani's family 140crs as per the contract that he signed. For the first time in Sundar's life, overconfidence has led to his downfall. With two days left till the election and no internet influence and power, how is Sundar going to win?
The next day he posts a Facebook live and addresses his plan transparently with the party, this can be the same as the 'Idhu Namma Sarkar' scene from the movie. Sundar explains how he chose his candidates and compares it to the millions of college graduates who get a corporate job, highlighting the need for the government to be qualified. This gets some positive buzz for Sundar but not enough to win the election. As Sundar sits in his office, hopelessly, one of his candidates tells him about 'Saatai' Muthukumar (this plotline will be the same as the movie); this could be the ideal trump card to win the election. This ticks of an idea, given that all Masilamani's loyalists have moved to the opposition along with Pappa all the party assets now reside with Sundar. He hires a corporate auditing team to unpack all the party records and finds all the holes in there records this allows him to unpack the 'Saatai' Muthukumar conspiracy and he has all the evidence ready to go public... but he waits. Sundar contacts Pappa for a meeting and the two sit down, with lawyers present. Sundar reveals everything that he has found from his audit of the party and threatens to go public with it unless she voids their contract where he owes her family 140cr, he also agrees to sign an NDA. Pappa obliges and asks him to burn the evidence in front of her, which Sundar does. On the car ride home, Pappa orders for Sundar to be murdered as she doesn't trust him.
The next morning is the day of the election, similar to the actual movie Sundar begins tweeting from a fake twitter handle about the evidence pulled from the audit, leading the media on a wild easter egg hunt to put the evidence together themselves, this removes any paper trails that lead back to Sundar. Pappa and the opposition party struggle to manage the storm that has been caused by the tweeting, she knows this was done by Sundar but has no evidence to prove it; the only way for her save face is if Sundar confesses to his manipulation for which he needs to be alive, so she cancels the hit on him. It is soon revealed, similar to the movie that the fake twitter handle is associated with that of a dead man, begging the question of who is tweeting? Sundar and his team re-route the IP address of the tweets to the leader of the opposition party and spin the narrative that he did this to tarnish Masilamani's reputation as a leader, which leads to in-fighting. Pappa is furious, as although she knows the truth about Sundar's access to the evidence, she can't speak about it due to the NDA (which would open her up to being sued). With no other option, she plots to have Sundar killed, as it looks like he is going to win. We can insert an obligatory climax fight here, where Sundar overcomes the odds but realising an opportunity, he fakes his own death which increases the votes to his party, leading to a victory in the election.
The following day is the swearing-in ceremony as all the candidates take up their positions. Pappa is also present and she along with everyone else believes Sundar is dead. Just as the first candidate is swearing-in, Sundar arrives and sits right next to Pappa, there is a media frenzy happening outside. There is a small bit of dialog between the two and he explains why he did all this (i.e. reference back to the girl who was burnt outside the collecter's office, etc). He finally tells her that the contract he signed with her father was only for 8 days, so his time has expired and he is no longer part of the party. Sundar gets up and walks away in slow motion as the credit roll.
This is my reimagining of Sarkar, what are your thoughts and what would you do differently? And what movie should I do next?

2024.06.02 10:45 AgentCast [Online] [5e] [LGBTQ+ only] [Fridays / Saturdays 6 pm - 10 pm CEST] [2/3 Players wanted] Call for the Many (Steven Universe Campaign) [OPEN]

I've been a bit hessitant to post this here simply because I'm really anxious about everything! But I thought, if 4 people liked this idea enough to play it with us, it can't be that bad.
So hello! My name's Cast (any pronouns), I'm going to be the DM of this campaign, alongside a coDm who will be helping me with some background stuff.
I've been a DM for about 4 years, and I've played (as a player) a couple of incomplete campaigns. I'm a bit anxious, but usually get more comfortable with people when I DM and we chat for a while.
We currently have 2 confirmed players who we'll introduce in session 0, and we're looking to make a party of 5 (though we may increase it to 6 if possible and needed)
I know what you're thinking, a Steven universe campaign in 2024?
And yeah! It's honestly a show that's meant a lot to a ton of us, with great unexplored lore that keeps me interested in writing about it and making plans with my players!
Dnd 5e official lore can get repetitive and boring at times, after you've read and played all the campaigns about bad drows and funny goblins. And don't get me wrong, I enjoy the classics, Curse of strahd is my favourite campaign ever, but what about trying something different that we've all grown loving? Why not make your cringe 2013 cringe gemsona real?
Some notes before I go into explaining what the campaign will be about:
* This is a queer only campaign for a simple reason, it's gonna have heavy queer themes that are mostly going to connect with queer folk! And coincidentally, all the already invited players and DMs ended up being trans, so we just feel it's fitting.
* Newbie players are more than welcome, though we do need someone who knows and is passionate about Steven Universe. If you join a game as a newbie for a game full of lore you don't like or understand, it's not gonna be enjoyable for you!
THE CAMPAIGN
The campaign is going to be a re telling / re skin version of the Call of the Netherdeep campaign. I will of course ask you to have not played nor dmed this campaign, and to not look anything up about it. It's more fun if you don't know what you're going to encounter! And I heavily improvise and homebrew a lot of stuff, so it won't even match up with it most of the time
So, what's it about?
Call for the Many is a setting based on the unexplored and alien world of Steven Universe. It takes place before the told story and we'll not be adding any of its main characters other than the necessary (Diamonds are a must, and some videogame cameos may occur)
Some of the canon aspects will be ignored or changed to fit a narrative that fits DnD 5e and allows more customization for the players.
The campaign starts in the planet of Ananke, in the Emerald Meadows. A festival is being celebrated by none other than Pink Diamond herself. Small groups of gems will be able to participate in the name of their diamond to earn points, and by the end of the festival, they'll encounter something, or rather someone, that will change the course of their actions for the rest of their adventures.
It is a 1-12 lvl campaign with aspects of war and dictatorship and its consequences, corruption and redemption, mental health depictions, underwater exploration and body horror.
It's still a dnd game, and it's still a Steven universe inspired game, so it'll have it's fair share of silly stuff of course!
*Also, please take note that anything I say here is not canon and may change when session 0 happens depending on the players triggers and preferences!
What will I be able to play?
Any gem, really!
We've separated gems into caste categories that you'll choose according to the type of gem you want to play. You may choose an existing gem, or make a new one that's not seen in the canon before.
We're also allowing pebbles, as well as humans and permafusions.
Here's a handy document made mostly by my lovely CoDM to explain the different choices you have.
[Link]
Classes will stay the same, it's still dnd 5e after all! All official classes and subclasses are permitted, as well as any expansion book other than Unearthed Arcana (UA)
What homebrew rules will you be using?
Not many, honestly! I'm not a dm who follows the rules strictly as stated, but one of the things I love most about dnd is powerscaling stuff, making it a challenge for my players, and that cannot happen without a strict set of rules.
However, I do have a couple changes; some personal, some relevant to the campaign
  1. Healing potions as a bonus action. Pretty common rule, most people use it.
  2. Inspiration points can be used to re roll any of your OR your companions checks, if both parties agree
  3. All backgrounds will be custom made, but we'll make em with you, so don't worry!
  4. Exhaustion. Not exactly a rule change, just a clarification. This campaign uses the exhaustion mechanic, and we will be using the dnd 5e rule. Sorry y'all, I know it sucks!
  5. The help action for skill checks require proficiency in said skill. If you don't have it, don't worry! You can still help! You'll need to roll said check, and if it's a 10 or up, they get advantage.
  6. Death saves are private. I just feel it makes them scarier!
  7. You tell me what you want to do, I'll tell you what to roll! Just makes it a bit easier for me to know what you're looking for.
  8. You're free to play any weird combo you wanna play, just know it'll raise their cr as well as yours. This doesn't mean I'm okay with players actively trying to break the game, I'm just okay with people enjoying min maxing as long as it doesn't cause a problem with any of the other players. If it causes them to get bored because you're doing all the killing, well need to change something! Everyone wants to play
When will it happen?
I can't tell you exactly when it'll start, but I can estimate that I'll have it semi prepared in a month or so, but I prefer doing session 0 and characters beforehand so I can tie the campaign around you and not the other way around!
We'll play either Fridays or Saturdays from 6 pm to 9/10 pm CEST.
We'll have a couple or sessions to level up your characters from 1 to 3 before the main story, but this will also be a good time to test if we're truly a match. You don't like how I dm, or a ruling Im strict about? You're not into the story? You suddenly realize youre not free anymore? It's okay! We'll be sad to let you go, but we all understand, and I wouldn't want to jump directly into a campaign without knowing if we're comfortable with eachother.
I'd love to have 4 sessions a month, but I cannot promise that since I have a job, and I do need to eat. The minimum will be 2 a month! Hopefully more!
What do I need to do to apply?
First of all, are you a match?
WE NEED:
* someone 17 or older. Most of us are (considered) adults, and I rather keep it consistent!
* Know about SU lore, and be interested in it
* Have the same passion for DnD as us. I know we all don't have the time to include this into our routine, but prepping and DMing take a lot of time, we need someone who won't bail on us every Friday because they can't make it.
* Queer!
* Newbies, forever DMs, experienced players, they're all allowed. But please note, join because you like dnd 5e too, not just the universe !
Are you a match? Then feel free to complete this survey!
[Link]
They're just a couple of quick questions to know you a bit better before I send you a message. I have an awful memory, so having a place where all the info is stored and named makes my job easier and more enjoyable!
It's also less anxiety inducing to answer to some pre written questions than to contact me directly, I imagine.
Any questions? Am I a bit dumb and have forgotten to answer some obvious thing I should've said?
Please feel free to ask in the comments, shoot me a DM or leave it somewhere in the attached form.

2024.06.02 10:45 erischilde Masterwatt 750 - dead - any known specific weaknesses

Hey folks!
Computer happy; we have a small side business we make and sell stuff at shows. Big show this weekend! After first day, realize need some new supports for a display, and 3D print some new stuff!
Morning of show? Computer ded. No start. No power. Nada. Next day amazon delivery new psu and psu tester... yep.. psu ded.
So, new psu installed, old one now apart on my couch. And some is on the floor, and on the coffee table.
I don't see an obvious fuse, no visible burn marks on the board, fan is good. Only thing I see is the big fat electrolytic 400v cap is a bit bulgey on top. Not blown. Not huge.
Before I start desoldering things and separating daughter boards, do we know if these have a "typical" failure mode? Or tips for like, quick diagnose/common test type things?
I know "don't open a power supply!" Cap is empty. I more intend to recover the igbts and mosfets, but if I can fix it to power other projects than a computer, that'd be great.
Ty!

Hello everyone!! I am someone who’s looking for genuine friendships and connections :)
(i’m already dating someone i love :3 shoutout to the girl i took a chance on! :> )
We can literally talk about anything and I'd positively pay attention. I love talking about everything related to romance and love as well :P (I was basically raised by hopeless romantic films ngl)
I like many things; let me list a few things we could discuss!
-(FOR TV SHOWS) Modern Family, FRIENDS, HIMYM, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, The Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars, Can't Buy Me Love, My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, Got to Believe, etc.
-(FOR FILMS) Disney Movies (old ones duhhh), Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Fault in Our Stars, Five Feet Apart (my favorite film of all time!), She's Dating the Gangster, The Girl Allergic to Wifi, Flipped, etc.
-Contemplating about the meaning of life and such deep topics that'll leave us frustrated searching for the real answers :>
-Music! I love everything about music, the way it can influence a nation and how it can make or break someone's heart. I just love it, and it's my language, so yeah!
-Cats!!! I'm a certified Cat lover! you could definitely talk to me about your cats, and I'll tell you about mine :3 MEOOWWWWW
-Genuine conversations, wholesome ones wherein I could feel your passion radiating through our chat!
I'm not that familiar with musicals per se, but I do love watching theater and singing! You could recommend to me good musicals that I could immerse myself in!
-Traveling! Tell me about the places you wanna visit and the playlist that comes along with it :>
About me:
-I'm 21! Taking up Diplomacy and International Affairs as a Frosh at Benilde! (Starting this September yes)
I've been in college for three years already, and I've shifted thrice (my old courses being international nursing and veterinary medicine of course)
-People say I have goldie energy soooo let me know if it's accurate!
-I may seem very flirty in the way I speak (aries tingz) but rest assured, it's all platonic to me :>
-I can be very makulit and madaldal once I get really comfy!
-I always aim for authenticity so expect me to be myself and I expect you to do the same :>
-I never not listen to music :P It's a disease really.
-I'm an old soul basically :3
-You'll find out the rest!
looking forward to having more friends and getting to learn more perspectives along the way :>>

2024.06.02 10:42 Daintysouul F/30 not sure if I should pursue this guy? M29

I’ve known this guy since last year of September at my job. I know he has a 7 yr old daughter and isn’t with his BM. But we’ve been talking as friends and flirting with him got him to flirt with me back but we don’t really hang out outside of work, just here and there but we do text a lot like almost every day. I feel like he doesn’t know how to pursue a girl or take her out on a date. We gift each other drinks at work and we recently went out to a car event. We haven’t kissed or anything but when I dont talk to him at work, he be texting me why am I not saying hi or if im going to ignore him today, but we still end up talking. I kissed him on the cheek when he dropped me off after the event. But that’s it. I’m not sure if he’s just not going to make a move sometime soon or he’s just not ready to date someone after his last relationship but it’s been a good while he’s been single. I’ve been single for a year but I’m just wondering if I should just keep it as friends with him.

2024.06.02 10:42 i_luv_lasagna Mental health professionals of r/AskDocs, is it normal for child rape survivors to start masturbating at an early age? Even though they weren't traumatized?

I M17, posting this question with an alt account and would rather keep this a secret irl, because I don't want my parents freaking out.
Long story short, one of my dad's friends raped me when he invited them to drink beer at our house; while my dad and the rest of his friends are drinking bear in the backyard, one of them took me to our bathroom and raped me there. I grew up unbothered and untraumatized because I was so young when it happened, I didn't even know what sex was. I basically had no idea what happened to me. It only started bothering me when I got into my teens and learned about sex. I was so young when it happened I don't even remember how old I was, or which one of my dad's friends did it.
If I wasn't traumatized, then can somebody tell me why I started masturbating at an early age?
What steps can I take to move forward and grow from this?
What am I supposed to say the moment I find a therapist?

2024.06.02 10:41 Shot-Manufacturer-28 breast pain in implant side

I also made this post on the birth control subreddit.
I’m 22 years old, and I’ve had nexplanon since September 2021. The implant is in my right arm. I’ve had many symptoms such as my periods stopping, mood swings, and weight gain. However, since I got the implant, I’ve experienced pain in my right breast. The pain comes and goes and sometimes I forget about it but when I press my breast it’s there. Sometimes it hurts more, sometimes less. I went to planned parenthood in 2022 and they said it’s most likely due to the implant hormones, especially because it’s my right arm and right breast. It’s relevant to say that the pain started almost immediately after the implant insertion, and it is hard to know if it’s related to my menstrual cycle because again, my period has stopped. Before the implant both breasts would hurt around the time my period started. Sometimes I worry it might be something worse, if you know what I mean. However, the pain hasn’t worsened over the years, it just comes and goes. Has anyone experienced this? TIA

2024.06.02 10:40 IAmOmnificent [HELP] Need help in choosing a GPU for Jellyfin.

Hey guys, I'm currently running 4 servers all using old laptops. I want to now migrate everything into one Proxmox host since it's easier for me to manage and I wanna put the laptops to rest (FINALLY)
Anyways, my Proxmox host is going to be using an AMD R5 3600. I want to be able to use Jellyfin on one of my VM's so I'm looking at getting a GPU for it. I have an RTX3060 but that it being used for a VM that will be running LLM's and some testing for AI that I do now and then.
I have the following options P400 2GB - $50-80
P620 2GB - $50
T400 - $100 I adjusted the pricing to USD from my currency so its just a ballpark number.
Which GPU would be suitable for Jellyfin. I want to get my family off streaming services and the problem now is that my current 'server' uses an Intel i5-7200U and that just isn't cutting it for me and worst if they are trying to watch as well.. I would say around max 5 users at one time..
Thank you in advanced for your suggestions!

2024.06.02 10:40 Friendly-Nectarine10 How Should I Handle This…?

For context I am a 22YO F who lives at home with my parents and younger brother. I recently graduated with my bachelor’s and am working my way up to applying to med school. Growing up, my father has always been unreasonably strict and my mother had always had to act as the mediator for me to be able to actually live my life. I’m 22 years old and I still have a curfew… I came home at 12:30 tonight and even though I told my father I’d be out late he was still pissed and said “the next time you come home this late it’ll be at your own house.” I’m tired to say the least… to the point where it has negatively affected my sleep and mental health.
I have a boyfriend who has been nothing but loving and supportive. We will go on a 2 week trip in July on the opposite coast to get away. I hate where I live and have been wanting to leave since I was 18, but it was just not feasible at the time. I will also be moving in with him to his stepdad’s house on the other side of the country in September. However, it’ll only be a temporary placement until my bf and I will be able to have our own place, (when I go to med school and he will be pursuing his PhD). In the meantime, we’ll be working.
Everyone knows about both of these things but my father (so far). I’m planning on telling him about the trip next weekend, and about moving in late July/early August. I already know that he’ll explode. Badly. How should I go about this? I want to stand my ground, but I want to try my best to not burn this bridge with my father.
Tl;dr: How can I go about telling my strict father about how I will be going on a cross-country trip with my bf in July, and moving out with my bf in September while standing my ground but not burning a bridge?
