Recently brought home a sweet well behaved labradooddle pup.
He will be 8 weeks old on the 27th. Anyway, I have been trying to crate train and potty train. Alot of good resources on here I have found and within this week that I have had him his accidents are very limited. I watch him like a hawk when out and getting good at figuring his hold times. And when he's looking to sniff to poop etc.
My question here is at first I didn't have a divider and we was going pee in the crate (32in) since putting the divider he doesn't go in there anymore. Last night he did but maybe left him too long 10-7am though he went through the other night 10-5am no accidents.
So maybe that was on me? What's some good suggestions here? I have a picture but apparently this sub doesn't allow picture attachments? Anyway I can show you guys?

A few days ago I broke up with my fiancé after we came back from a trip we were on for a couple days for his birthday. We have been fighting more and more these last few months and every single time we get into an argument, he turns into what I can only describe as a teenager, he becomes incredibly immature and screams at me and gets mad over the most ridiculous things.
I am 5'3 and he towers over me at 6'4 and it honestly scares me when he screams at me. I have told him numerous times to stop reacting like that whenever we have an argument and he always apologizes later but the next time he gets angry, its the exact same blow up pattern where he screams again and behaves like he's 14 years old screaming at his mama.
His mother was living with him before and she had the same problem with him, he would scream at her too. I made a joke to her one day after they had a big fight, saying, "Am I next in line for this treatment?" and she said yes. I should have taken the warning then.
We just moved in together and we've been living together for a month. I'm honestly not happy. He does gross things like takes pictures of his big poops and shows it to me on his phone, he picks his pimples and smells them in front of me saying "smells like cheese", he picks off his nail clippings and throws them on the passenger car side floor so when I go into his car, I see 6 nail clippings regularly. He sticks his hand in his giant dogs mouth when they're playing and lets him lick all over his face after I've just seen her cleaning her behind for 30 mins prior and then he tries to kiss me.
All of this has completely turned me off and ruined the romance for me. We haven't been intimate in 2 weeks because of the amount of fighting and the gross hygiene issues I mentioned. He expects me to cook, clean up after him, do the dishes, do the laundry, make the bed every day, watch his dog when he's at work. He throws his clothes everywhere he takes them off at and I had to tell him numerous times to please put them in the hamper for me to wash.
I work from home and he works 4 hours outside the home then comes home and works remotely for another 2-3 hours then he goes into the garage and smokes for hours. When we broke up after a big fight a few days ago, he said I ruined his life and that now he has to go live in a hotel because I kicked him out. I said I won't live with someone who talks to me so disrespectfully and makes me feel unsafe to be around because of his major anger issues.
His road rage is ridiculous too, he flips people off quite a few times and honks at them and I tell him all the time he's gonna end up getting into a dangerous situation because of it. It just tells me he has a lot of growing up to do. The thought of having kids with this man sounds like a nightmare.
He bought me a diamond ruby necklace and during the break up, he said "I want that ruby necklace back so I can pawn it." he took other gifts he had gotten me over the course of our relationship and pawned those too since leaving my house. He says he wants to work on his anger and stay with me and still loves me but then in the same breath he will say its all my fault that he's in this situation now. Takes no responsibility for how he treats people and somehow always manages to be the victim.
I'm tired but I dont know if I'll regret losing him in a few months when everything is said and done. He said he can take me to court because of "Squatter laws" because I asked him to leave overnight. I own my house, he doesn't and we never signed anything. He has been incredibly rude about money too, he only contributed $750 a month in total (For rent, groceries and all the bills combined) and I paid for everything else. We had a fight about that too because he said that was "way too much". I said good luck finding anything that cheap today out there by yourself.
When we talk about getting married, he says we need to sign a prenup because he never wants to pay alimony and he buries his gold coins in the backyard and would never tell me where they are even if we were to get married. These things are so unromantic to say and makes me not even want to marry him in the first place if he's going to be so selfish about his money already.

Hi all I thought I'd share this account of my battle with an unknown infection which I've had since March.
I hooked up with a girl on the 18th of March this year. I had used a condom but when I pulled out I realised it had slipped off. Prior to this I hadn't been with anyone else in over 5 months
Fast forward a week and I noticed miniscule scabbing on the end of my penis. At first I thought this may just be fabric from my underwear stuck to some dried semen. Anyway I started noticing discoloration at the head of my penis opening. It looks sore but it's not painful and has been tingly on occasions. I got tested around a week and a half later for the usual (gonorhea, chlamydia, syphilis etc) they tested my urine and blood both which both came back clear. The clinician also said that they couldn't see anything to be concerned about.
I couldn't get it out of my mind so I asked the girl to get tested too, she said her tests came back clear. I went back to clinic as I wasn't convinced and a second clinician examined me and again said they couldn't see anything I need to be concerned about and that they didn't think it's was anything.
I still couldn't shake my concerns so ended up paying over the odds for a private blood test done via finger prick for herpes which came back as negative. I again bought a private test this one was for the complete 14 std which again came back negative. I thought I would try once more at the clinic. One urethral swab later and the nurse detected what she described as NGU which contained 'pus cells'. She's sent a further swab away for further checks and I've been prescribed a 7-day course of Doxycycline. I felt as though the Doxy was working and things were improving. The results for the further swab came back negative for any STI's which I was surprised and disappointed about as I wasn't any closer to getting a diagnosis. When the course finished I felt like the infection was still there.
Most recently I arranged an appointment with my doctor, he's not been overly helpful imho. He has prescribed me a 7-day Hydrocortisone to try 'fix' the red shiny skin around my meatus. He won't refer me to dermatology or urology until I've finished this course.
Some symptoms I have: An increase in dry skin on penis Increase in small dark blood spots on my sack Red/shiny skin on one side of meatus Shiny discoloured skin on shaft of penis A noticeable red area within my urethera opening Weaker urine stream
Symptoms I had but no longer have at this time: increased frequency of peeing Increased urge to poop (unsure if this was just due to anxiety of the whole issue) Some mild pain when peeing Tingling of the glans Mild discomfort from chafing glans against underwear Cloudy urine Persistent cough / pain under jowel when coughing
I haven't noticed any discharge

 | Hi all! I posted a week ago that my cat was feeling a bit unusual the past few months. I shared a picture of him bird watching after I changed his way food brand. submitted by tweeicle to blackcats [link] [comments] Today was our appointment. $444 later, I find out that he is in the most picture perfect health according to his blood test results. His bladder wasn’t too full upon physical palpation, but the vet did note that his stools felt quite firm inside him. He said he sounds healthy (outside of his allergies and apparently a very small heart murmur) but that we should do blood testing just to make sure there’s no early signs of kidney disease. We did a wellness blood panel, and a few other add ons (thyroid and a special one to detect early signs of kidney disease). They also gave me some litter so we can preform a urinalysis to make sure there’s no crystals in his urine. When the vet came back with the test results, he was smiling with delight. Both in the fact that I allowed him to practice medicine in a way that was the perfect crossroads between excellent healthcare and financial cost; but also because my cat was healthier than even he expected him to be. The urinalysis will be an additional $90, and quite honestly I don’t think it’s gonna find anything… I think the vet’s hunch may be right. He prescribed some medicine which I will forever be referring to as Kitty Miralax. It’s gonna soften his stools and help him poop better. Bonus picture: I’ve been slowly harness training him off and on for 3.5 years now. He finally looked at his harness yesterday and asked to go outside. I was also toying with the idea of our characters being somehow genetically enhanced to make them sexy as fuck, which explains Paul's absurd statistics early in the prompt. I am happy to discuss that though. Perhaps they are just hot from centuries of natural selection. Perhaps they were engineered from birth to be perfect space colonists, or perhaps they were given genetic treatment while in cryostasis on the journey, or we can totally ignore the issue and just have them be hot for hotness sake! We are 10 family members who booked this trip through a tour agency. My dadi(grandmother) is 76 years old with operation in both legs and a 3 year cancer patient. Our tour started at 11th May, 2024. We did the char dham in proper sequence (Yamnoutri -Gangotri- Kedarnath -Badrinath). We had a proper itinerary and online bookings done by the agency.
First we had a hotel booking in Barkot. The hotel was okay. they are extremely possessive about their towels with a rule- 1 towel per room??? I'm with my dadi and aunty in one room. They probably have a laundry problem or something but every single hotel has this nonsense rule. Anyways, next day 5am we left for Yamnoutri. Got stuck in a 5km long jam(Yamnoutri is 35km away) Me and my dad decided to walk it out. We covered 20km by 3pm however it started raining and couldn't continue ahead. We stayed in a tapri for 4 hours until the rain cleared. Our family was still stuck in traffic and hadn't reached even close to us. Now it's 8pm. We were supposed to be done with Yamnoutri and go back to our Barkot hotel. We had to cancel our Barkot bookings(and the hotel manager put all the bags of our 10 people in 1 room messing up everyones luggage). We booked another hotel at Sayanchatti were our family members reached at 11pm. Police management was utterly trash. I think even they were surprised with the amount of overcrowding. Next day we finally reached Yamnoutri. About the trek- the pathway/trail is full of shit. And I mean literally full of horse-poop. There are 700-1000 horses. Even after getting a horse, we had to wait 40mins for parchi and additional 1 hour(while on our horse) because of horse-jam. Yes there is a traffic jam of horses ON THE TREK. We wanted to walk but seeing the people who did walk, I was glad we didn't. The path is almost 3 meter wide with pithu, doly/palki, horses and people walking simultaneously. People who walked got continuously hit by horses and had to dirty their shoes in horse poop. We reached the temple finally, did Pooja, etc and managed to return Barkot where we had to re-book for another night. Our itinerary was already messed up at this point and money was wasted thrice (previous booking unattended in Barkot, the new booking in Sayanchatti and rebooking in Barkot). There is more like the incredibly risky horse route, etc but that's inevitable. I'm gonna continue with Gangotri.
We reached Maneri after struggling in jams for 7+ hours. We also did Uttarkashi before that. Ok so here the police had stopped us at checkpost and said cars are going in batches and if they let us go the jam ahead would only get worse. Now our hotel was 5 minutes(3km) by car from the checkpost. I went walking 3km and reached the hotel and there was absolutely no traffic like we told the police. We even showed them on Google maps. Traffic jams are understandable, but not letting us go after talking to the hotel owner, seeing proof that we won't contribute to traffic, that was a bit triggering. From police side it was just plain dumb. The commisioner there would keep talking his egoistical nonsense, not listening to anyone. Finally the rest of my family reached the hotel. Same issue with towels, rubbish beds, never ending insects and super unclean bathrooms with no pressure in water(flush, jets, bath, basin). Anyways, next day 12am we left for Gangotri with zero sleep because we are already behind our bookings and trying to avoid wasting more money. Got stuck in jam till 6am. [Also another note here, we had 2 private cars and one of the drivers was sleeping drunk and almost hit me and my mom. He hit a tempo traveller and we told him go back to sleep.] Finally reached Gangotri at 5:30pm, did our Pooja and then got in line for Darshan. My dadi and I got into the senior citizen line because she is 76 years old and can barely stand/walk in lines. Tilll now in the trip I don't completely blame the police for what was going on. But here in Gangotri, if anyone is going I am warning you, the police is rubbish. They are rude, tired with the crowd and very harsh and worst of all lazy. When u reach the main statue to go darshan, it's continuous pushing and almost a stampede, you cannot carry a baby or a old person there, they are garanteed to get hurt and the police won't care AT ALL. If you are lucky u might get to see the main statue of Ganga Mata for more than 4 seconds. After that we got back to our hotel in Maneri.
Next day we left for our hotel booking (adjusted by our agency) in Phata-Mankheda. Don't forget to go to Guptkashi before entering Phata. Here too same issues like 1 towel per room, charging points at the most unreachable locations in the room, etc. But this was still better than Maneri. Next morning 3am we left for Sonprayag. There is a line for your registration approval which goes on till Sitapur (2km from Sonprayag). People will continuously try to break and enter the line and there is almost a stampede and lot of heated crowd. After registration, you can go join 1km line for government taxi(50rs per head) from Sonprayag to Gaurikund. Anyways, after reaching Gaurikund there is a 1km inclined gali then the horses start.Remember this part. So here we again had to take a horse even tho we wanted to trek because at this point we were on 3-4hrs sleep everyday and our mental was very weak. We paid 6000rs per horse because it wasn't morning and the horse owner GARANTEED us all of my family members will be together, there will be one person per horse and that he already has the parchi. 5 of us had taken the horses and others went walking, palki and pithu. This path was again same as Yamnoutri or even worse. More horse-poop than ever, the sweepers there won't care and sweep the trash on you if u r in their way and continue doing so. People working there are literally illustrate and 'gouthi'. The horse owner didn't fulfil his promise either. There was 1 man handling 3 horses. The horses were going anywhere, hitting our legs on railings, other yatris,other horses etc. They told us to get down and walk 50m every time they saw police which is when we understood they didn't make a parchi. When we reached the top they demanded for the full money which they very very very obviously did not deserve for all their lies. When we said take 28k because anyways 2 of their men didn't come. They said give 30k else don't give anything at all. This childish, greedy attitude of theirs was again very triggering. We are not beggars and they are not doing us any favours so we still paid them the full amount. We are on a spiritual journey but since everything is about money from tourism, our spirit kept getting crushed. We had to spend the night at Kedarnath and our agency had booked us a dormitory. I warn anyone booking a dormitory, just don't. 30 unclean, continuously used beds, in one non- ventilation suffocating room with 1 Indian style toilet whose latch doesn't work shared with strangers. And the worst part is it is 1000rs per bed. I wouldn't pay 20rs for this rubbish service. At this point my spirit completely broke and I fell sick. I hadn't eaten anything and didn't want to. Next day my dad and I went down through horse at government rate (2300/). Others came in pithu and trek. Now came the worst part. The overcrord at the narrow 500m gali which i told u to remember above. Oh my God. After 22km Trek you are treated with this 0 management wild crowd. I had to take care of my dadi and fam from getting hurt. After reaching Gaurikund, again another 1.5km line with no special preference for senior citizens. Here people bribed the police 500rs to break and enter the line(happened right in front of me and my phone had no battery) When you reach the taxi finally, everyone tries to enter together and the police are just standing mutes. They are done with this💀. Finally got into the taxi, reached Sonprayag. Had to walk till Sitapur. Got a private taxi from there who demanded unreasonable price.We got mad and told him 4000rs till phata-mankheda(20km) which he then agreed to. Our hotel had changed to the worst possible hell of a hotel ever. I don't even want to talk about it. It has scarred me how people go about their business with 0 standards. At this point we just wanted to go home but Badrinath is left 😭
Ngl Badrinath tour was decent. Our hotel was in Piplakoti. Decent hotel called River view hotel. Roads are good. Only 4 hour line in Badrinath with heated crowd and 5 second darshan. At this point we are used to this so it's ok💀. Police was actually working and managing. Only issue we faced was directions from main road to the mandir and back. At night it gets very confusing.
Now I'd like to add, i haven't taken any names of hotels(except river view) or my tour agency because I don't mean any disrespect.
Uttrakhand is a beautiful beaitiful and amazing place with sceneries and memories I will carry with me forever. The sceneries while going to every dham are different and unique in their own way. Even just traveling from one dham to another by road is an amazing experience(excluding the jams).
I have some opinions- 1. Management is almost non-existent. Meet any Yatri and they will tell you the same. 2. Police are corrupt and lazy. Some try actively but that's like 10% of them. 3. The problem with hotels is that they are all on lease. I'll explain. The owner gives a person say Rahul their hotel on lease and asks for a certain amount per year. Rahul gets paid after that certain amount exceeds. Hotel bookings for char dham 6 months are always full. Rahul will always get this money and hence sees no need to maintain this hotel. So that's that. 4. Uttrakhand runs only and only on tourism and it is obvious. So as an individual tourist, you DO NOT matter. They don't care, they get people continuously. If your booking is cancelled there is always someone else to take it. You cannot talk sense to anyone running any type of service there. 5. Yamnoutri, Gangotri and Kedarnath roads for reaching there are narrow. Government should ban big buses permanently and is the best move they can make. These buses are 80% of the reasons for jams. They are improving roads but it's been 75+ years since independence so idk what they are doing. 6. Government should NOT take registrations when they cannot afford them. 27 Lakh registrations is not a joke. 2.8Lakh people in 4 days is not a joke. No one can manage this amount of people. Have a limit. People are spending lakhs of rupees coming from all over India for this and 90% of it is a bad experience. 7. Don't open all char dham together. This year's main issue was all 4 temples opened at the same date, 10th May. People were already ready and started rushing from 7-8th May. 8. Corruption with the helicopter. Bookings started 4 months ago. Opened the site. Site hanged. After 40mins of reloading, site opened and all bookings were full. All done by agents and sold in black. 9. Roadside parkings along the way to the chat dham also contribute heavily to traffic jams.
Advice for Future Yatris- 1. Don't come in May. I had a compulsion so we had to. But everyone here says that the best months for char dham is September-October before Diwali. 2. If you do come in May, don't do online bookings. You need to be flexible with where you are gonna stay. 3. Carry a towel per person. Hotels are extremely possessive about their towels. 4. Leave early for every dham if you are committed to do all 4 of them. I've seen lot of people give up in jams. 5. Get warm clothes especially lot of socks and bring medicines, etc. Rain coats are ok but u need a poncho. Rain coats don't cover your bagpacks while trekking and even if they do, they will stretch and might tear. 6. Private cars/taxi yatri, spend a bit more and get a comfortable car. You will spend most of the time in your vehicle. Tempo travellers are extremely uncomfortable and avoid them. 7. Take cold water baths at colder places as warm water baths bring the blood vessels to skin level making it more sensitive later. You have to be mentally prepared before taking a cold water bath. 8. Weather changes like anything. Suncap and goggles are a must in day time. 9. If u get sick/stomach upset have black tea and biscuits. 10. Do private Pooja at Badrinath.
Good things- 1. The food is amazing. It's almost as good as homemade food. You can always tell the cook how you like your food. Do try the Vegetable Maggi at highecolder mountains. It's available everywhere. 2. Sceneries are amazing and don't forget to carry a proper camera. Phone tech these days is good too and will make photo-frame photos. 3. You will always find people to talk to. If you happen to find polite people, say the hotel cook or a homeguard or other yatris or anyone at all, you will have a good conversation. 4. The pandits are good and will only ask you to pay them if u want to for the Pooja. Always pay them. 5. No phone range. It's good so you live in the moment and can enjoy the amazing sceneries :)
I'm trying to be completely honest without involving any type of hate here and trying to paint a complete picture of what my journey was like. We had to go over budget(almost double) because we didn't know any of this even after research. Our tour agency didn't warn us about anything either. Only thing that matters is that you enter the holy grounds. You can expect amazing sceneries but not an amazing darshan in May. It's been a bittersweet journey and I am writing this while omw to home. I hope y'all find this helpful and plan accordingly only if you are going in May or peak season. When we reached the top they demanded for the full money which they very very very obviously did not deserve for all their lies. When we said take 28k because anyways 2 of their men didn't come. They said give 30k else don't give anything at all. This childish, greedy attitude of theirs was again very triggering. We are not beggars and they are not doing us any favours so we still paid them the full amount. We are on a spiritual journey but since everything is about money from tourism, our spirit kept getting crushed. We had to spend the night at Kedarnath and our agency had booked us a dormitory. I warn anyone booking a dormitory, just don't. 30 unclean, continuously used beds, in one non- ventilation suffocating room with 1 Indian style toilet whose latch doesn't work shared with strangers. And the worst part is it is 1000rs per bed. I wouldn't pay 20rs for this rubbish service. At this point my spirit completely broke and I fell sick. I hadn't eaten anything and didn't want to. Next day my dad and I went down through horse at government rate (2300/). Others came in pithu and trek. Now came the worst part. The overcrord at the narrow 500m gali which i told u to remember above. Oh my God. After 22km Trek you are treated with this 0 management wild crowd. I had to take care of my dadi and fam from getting hurt. After reaching Gaurikund, again another 1.5km line with no special preference for senior citizens. Here people bribed the police 500rs to break and enter the line(happened right in front of me and my phone had no battery) When you reach the taxi finally, everyone tries to enter together and the police are just standing mutes. They are done with this💀. Finally got into the taxi, reached Sonprayag. Had to walk till Sitapur. Got a private taxi from there who demanded unreasonable price.We got mad and told him 4000rs till phata-mankheda(20km) which he then agreed to. Our hotel had changed to the worst possible hell of a hotel ever. I don't even want to talk about it. It has scarred me how people go about their business with 0 standards. At this point we just wanted to go home but Badrinath is left 😭
Ngl Badrinath tour was decent. Our hotel was in Piplakoti. Decent hotel called River view hotel. Roads are good. Only 4 hour line in Badrinath with heated crowd and 5 second darshan. At this point we are used to this so it's ok💀. Police was actually working and managing. Only issue we faced was directions from main road to the mandir and back. At night it gets very confusing.
Now I'd like to add, i haven't taken any names of hotels(except river view) or my tour agency because I don't mean any disrespect.
Uttrakhand is a beautiful beaitiful and amazing place with sceneries and memories I will carry with me forever. The sceneries while going to every dham are different and unique in their own way. Even just traveling from one dham to another by road is an amazing experience(excluding the jams).
I have some opinions- 1. Management is almost non-existent. Meet any Yatri and they will tell you the same. 2. Police are corrupt and lazy. Some try actively but that's like 10% of them. 3. The problem with hotels is that they are all on lease. I'll explain. The owner gives a person say Rahul their hotel on lease and asks for a certain amount per year. Rahul gets paid after that certain amount exceeds. Hotel bookings for char dham 6 months are always full. Rahul will always get this money and hence sees no need to maintain this hotel. So that's that. 4. Uttrakhand runs only and only on tourism and it is obvious. So as an individual tourist, you DO NOT matter. They don't care, they get people continuously. If your booking is cancelled there is always someone else to take it. You cannot talk sense to anyone running any type of service there. 5. Yamnoutri, Gangotri and Kedarnath roads for reaching there are narrow. Government should ban big buses permanently and is the best move they can make. These buses are 80% of the reasons for jams. They are improving roads but it's been 75+ years since independence so idk what they are doing. 6. Government should NOT take registrations when they cannot afford them. 27 Lakh registrations is not a joke. 2.8Lakh people in 4 days is not a joke. No one can manage this amount of people. Have a limit. People are spending lakhs of rupees coming from all over India for this and 90% of it is a bad experience. 7. Don't open all char dham together. This year's main issue was all 4 temples opened at the same date, 10th May. People were already ready and started rushing from 7-8th May. 8. Corruption with the helicopter. Bookings started 4 months ago. Opened the site. Site hanged. After 40mins of reloading, site opened and all bookings were full. All done by agents and sold in black. 9. Roadside parkings along the way to the chat dham also contribute heavily to traffic jams.
Advice for Future Yatris- 1. Don't come in May. I had a compulsion so we had to. But everyone here says that the best months for char dham is September-October before Diwali. 2. If you do come in May, don't do online bookings. You need to be flexible with where you are gonna stay. 3. Carry a towel per person. Hotels are extremely possessive about their towels. 4. Leave early for every dham if you are committed to do all 4 of them. I've seen lot of people give up in jams. 5. Get warm clothes especially lot of socks and bring medicines, etc. Rain coats are ok but u need a poncho. Rain coats don't cover your bagpacks while trekking and even if they do, they will stretch and might tear. 6. Private cars/taxi yatri, spend a bit more and get a comfortable car. You will spend most of the time in your vehicle. Tempo travellers are extremely uncomfortable and avoid them. 7. Take cold water baths at colder places as warm water baths bring the blood vessels to skin level making it more sensitive later. You have to be mentally prepared before taking a cold water bath. 8. Weather changes like anything. Suncap and goggles are a must in day time. 9. If u get sick/stomach upset have black tea and biscuits. 10. Do private Pooja at Badrinath.
Good things- 1. The food is amazing. It's almost as good as homemade food. You can always tell the cook how you like your food. Do try the Vegetable Maggi at highecolder mountains. It's available everywhere. 2. Sceneries are amazing and don't forget to carry a proper camera. Phone tech these days is good too and will make photo-frame photos. 3. You will always find people to talk to. If you happen to find polite people, say the hotel cook or a homeguard or other yatris or anyone at all, you will have a good conversation. 4. The pandits are good and will only ask you to pay them if u want to for the Pooja. Always pay them. 5. No phone range. It's good so you live in the moment and can enjoy the amazing sceneries :)
I'm trying to be completely honest without involving any type of hate here and trying to paint a complete picture of what my journey was like. We had to go over budget(almost double) because we didn't know any of this even after research. Our tour agency didn't warn us about anything either. Only thing that matters is that you enter the holy grounds. You can expect amazing sceneries but not an amazing darshan in May. It's been a bittersweet journey and I am writing this while omw to home. I hope y'all find this helpful and plan accordingly only if you are going in May or peak season. Otherwise you might not face much issues in September. Thank you for reading.

Noticed at some point on Wednesday, not first thing in the morning, that he had two little dots on his face and looked like they had bled (later found tiny blood stains on the bed sheet). Didn’t think anything of it, babies get cuts, it happens. I was up super early that day around 4:15am to start work early - from home. Again didn’t notice anything. Around 5:30ish when I was in the bathroom next to the bedroom my son was in sleeping still, my two dogs were also in the room with him. One of the dogs barked, so i naturally yell at him because the baby is sleeping. He runs to me, i tell him to stop, he goes back in the room and barked again, then stopped. I didn’t go in to see why he was barking since my son didn’t wake up from it. Since i was up so early that day, when I got home from work i took a nap on the couch and when i woke up, my thigh was a bit itchy (if i remember correctly, now doubting myself) so i start scratching then realize there’s two little bumps. Bumps have a dot of blood on them, probably from the scratching? That’s when it hit me.
I realized what my marks look like and remembered what my sons look like and that my dog barked in the morning when he doesn’t typically bark that early or upstairs often. I looked at my husband and said ‘what if we were bit by a bat in our sleep, didn’t notice it and the dogs got to it before we could see?’ He looked at me like ‘are you serious’ - knowing that I’m petrified of bats.
We SEARCHED the house. Behind pictures on the walls (thanks google), in the attic, in the storage room, all over our room, nothing. No poop, no bat.
So my question to you all is (and please be nice as i’m very very aware of i have anxiety. It gets bad when the subject at hand is anything to do with bats) - is this scenario possible? A bat flew into our room at night, landed on our bed where we were sleeping and bit us then was able to scurry off the bed and hide without my dogs realizing until both my husband and i were out of the room, in which then caused my dog to bark. I was wearing sweatpants and using a blanket, and my son’s face (where his marks were) was next to mine. Would the bat have been able to get off the blanket? Or would its claws have gotten stuck and we would have seen or heard some sort of screeching?
If my dogs were trying to eat a bat, would we have heard screeching?
If a bat bit me through my blanket and pants, would i have holes or rips in them?
If a bat was on my son’s face biting him while next to me, would he have woken up and would i have woken?
I apologize for repetitive posts…but i have had a phobia of bats ever since i was a kid. Rabies phobia didn’t start until 8ish years ago when we woke to a bat in our room flying around and had to google what to do - thats when i learned about it.

Just an abstract observation I've had around Sonos for some time, being an owner of both Sonos gear since 2011 and getting an Electric Objects(EO) digital frame in 2018.
EO went under pretty quickly and my take was they were a niche product, steered more toward an 'Apple-type', and hoped to make it on subscriptions to digital art, but people only want to fart-sniff over the nothingness of modern art in public, not alone. I just wanted the frame to run my dog and kid video shorts, ascii dancing girl gifs, and a van Gogh or Monet now and then.
The gist is, they had a small target that saturated and the plans they had to grow, or even just stay alive, crashed. Though the scale and lifespan are different, this is where I see Sonos today.
It first struck me when I heard they were going to make gear obsolete. Some of the gear I had. They turned around quickly on this, but I looked past the bombast of the moment and saw a decision of desperation. You don't risk that tarnish unless the numbers say you have to, and you're banking on (hoping for) 'Apple-love' of your product for the faithful to roll over.
So here we are. A saturated, niche market. Not niche because of wireless speakers but because of the cost. Cost is the barrier, and it's significant.
With the headphones, here's a new product launch where they've apparently included the baby with the bathwater. The big picture of this roll-out only makes sense to me from a perspective of desperation. My guess is the newer speaker lines haven't caused much movement, and the headphones are the best of their bad ideas. Anyone excited over more headphones?
Lastly, this app update almost appears to be an outsourced product. Either way, the talent pool does not look deep. If it was, they would have had a much more agile response to this fiasco, such as a rollback that was likely expected by most.

When I got her this was her cage set up, and I wanna make sure the substrate the pet store placed in there is safe, it seems to be some sort of gravel/pellets, I tried to get a better picture in the second one.  | My son has a corn snake. It escaped last year February (we live in Indiana) and it just reappeared in our sun porch 3 weeks ago. But haven't heard back. Just needing some guidance if this should be a major concern. My son is pretty attached to this snake and will be upset if things go south. Any help is much appreciated. |

 | On Saturday, I was feeding the pigeons as per usual on my balcony when my partner noticed this pigeon that couldn't walk and was being attacked (for lack of a better word) by 3 other pigeons, I threw seed close to me to get their attention and she flew over. submitted by RobynWasntHere to pigeon [link] [comments] She was very easy to grab from the window and so I brought her inside, when I saw her feet I realised I needed to do something. I had never seen so much string around a birds feet / legs, they were completely tied together when I first got her. The string was cutting off one of her toes, had pierced the skin on all of the others and her underside was completely covered in poop. Me and a friend spent 40 minutes slowly removing as much string as we could, however her feet had definitely been like this a while as evidenced by the fact the string had been clotted over where it had dug into her foot. When we were done she tried to escape but caught her toe and it started to bleed, I applied pressure and it quickly stopped. I put her in a sizable box with water and seeds in little glass jars and left her in the dark for a few hours, when i came back, she was eating the seeds i had provided (it was very cute). I kept her over night as it was storming outside yesterday and I was worried about her foot bleeding again. On Sunday when I went to check on her and when i was cleaning up some of her poop she got startled and tried to fly away, in the process her toe started bleeding again. In addition to this, I noticed she had a large amount of fleas on her as I could see them crawling on her head. Looking back at pictures, I also notice her feathers were not too well kept, especially on her underside. I asked a vet I knew for advice, and she said not to release her, but take her to a vet as soon as possible. I named her Pibbin and kept her fed, watered and warm until Monday at about 2pm when I finally got the chance to take her to a vet. When I got there I told them the situation, signed some forms to release her in to their care and asked to be updated on her situation by phone. I said that if they were going to euthanise her, to please call me as i would take her to a bird sanctuary instead that I had used before. It got towards the end of the day and I hadn't had a phone call yet, so I rang them up. When they told me they had euthanised her I started crying and havent stopped for 3 hours. I feel terrible and like I shouldn't have taken her to the vet. I see pigeons walking around outside with missing toes / feet and I feel they were too hasty with putting her down and should have tried to rehabilitate her and then release her. I guess I'm just writing this because I'm sad and angry, I got really attached to this bird even though she was only in my care for 2 days. What makes it worse is I looked back at my phone pictures and she was part of a flock that regularly visits my window for food. |

Just had this woman come in with a weiner dog, and she's holding it. Told her no pets/animals in the store. I didn't say service animal cause I didn't want to give her ideas. She walked out, and I could see through the cameras that she was taking pictures of my store and the windows. Comes back in, and here's the interaction.
Her: Where's your sign that doesn't let service animals in the store
Me: You didn't introduce the dog as a service animal
H: it's illegal for.
Me: cutting her off So I'm not going to explain it, and if your dog was a service animal, you should know the rules. I saw you taking pictures, and just know we have everything on video and audio if you want to go down that route.
Seriously, we do need special licenses and stuff so we can weed out the fakers.

EDIT 2: Just in case it isn't clear. I have no issues for people who actually need dogs or animals for disability to help them with everyday life. I'm just sick and tired of the law being lax that literally anyone can get away with bringing their "pet." Especially when 10 out of 10 these pets aren't house broken and I have had to deal with the consequences like finding out after the customer has left the dog pooped in the store or is disturbing other customers. Which those reasonings right there allow retailers to kick people out with service dogs cause the dog wouldn't be "housebroken" or "trained."

EDIT 2: Just in case it isn't clear. I have no issues for people who actually need dogs or animals for disability to help them with everyday life. I'm just sick and tired of the law being lax that literally anyone can get away with bringing their "pet." Especially when 10 out of 10 these pets aren't house broken and I have had to deal with the consequences like finding out after the customer has left the dog pooped in the store or is disturbing other customers. Which those reasonings right there allow retailers to kick people out with service dogs cause the dog wouldn't be "housebroken" or "trained."

I just found this in my bag of rice yall please help here’s a close up of it and then a picture of it in my hand to scale. I’ve never seen anything like this in my rice and there was a small hole in the bag near where I found it. Not a hole big enough for a mouse. Is this roach poop???

Hey everyone, I posted here a couple months back on some cleaning product recommendations for trim and tires. I've experimented a bit and done some research so this is what I currently use and it's under 100$ overall.
Chemical Guys Tire Shine Kicker -Good for tire and trim it makes it nice and black but not to wet or shiny which I enjoy. It requires a spong pad but I use the dollar store one and haven't had any issues. It's water based so paint shouldn't be affected. I have noticed that it stays on pretty good but I reapply every wash which is generally once every 1-2 months.
Chemical Guys Mr Pink -Very foamy and cleans up pretty good. I'm looking into adding a ceramic wash on top Hydro Suds Ceramic since I live in a pretty dry and hot area (CA valley) so there's plenty of dust, polenta and bird poop.
I hope it helps those who may not want to fork over 100$ for some soap or product that may permanently impact your baby.
I'll post some before and after pictures when I do the next wash. Any questions or comments drop em below 🤙

I genuinely do love this series & characters but sometimes I just absolutely GIGGLE at some of the writing. I know it's known the authors need an editor but some of this shit is tooooo much for me. Just a few tidbits that have gone through my head while reading - I'm about to finish book 8.

- The pegasus constantly huffing/stomping/whinnying in fae form is hilarious. I just picture of bunch of teenagers playing hobby horse. Love it.
- The darcy / orion teacher fantasy needed to end after they left school. It just turns into a weird porno sometimes.
- Why does everyone get horny during danger?!?!?!!? I know thats part of being 'fae' but let's allll keep our dicks in our pants and beat the fucking shadows and lionel FFS.
- Lionel's chapters are truly fucking insane and I laugh the entire way through them. Specifically the poop throwing one where Vard gets hit in the face with faeces aka feces.
- We all know Darius isn't staying dead so can everyone stop saying ~nobody comes back from beyond the veil~ he's one of the main character's mates, he's coming back. Let's all chill the F out.
- Leon is seriously my favorite character and I love how stupid him and seth are together.
- I can't help but burst out laughing when Washer is in scenes. Why is he SO sexually driven it's fucking INSANE hahahahhaahha. I need a chapter of him teaching sex ed.
- Can someone PLEASE for the love of god punch all of the celestial council members in the fucking face - it's time to give it up. The vega's will be queen get over it.
- The faebook posts/updates are so insane but also really does add a geeky little insight a reader like me enjoys. I love little real life moments.
- Geraldine is absolutely iconic. Can't get enough of her and how she's constantly topless, and has the most insane one liners. Love it.

I know this is long but please read I’m utterly confused and it makes no sense, I need help solving this. Im getting bit up every night when im asleep I’m assuming, bc I never feel when I get bit until later. It looks like mosquito bites and not like any pictures of bed bug bites I’ve seen which are much redder. The odd thing is I have a newborn so I’m up a lot of the night and only sleep like less than 5 hours all broken up so you think I would feel or see a bug by now. My windows are always shut, my boyfriend who sleeps in the same bed has no bites at all and my baby who sometimes naps in the bed has none either, just me. All 9 of these are just my right arm. I have one or two on my left, my ankles, my stomach,shoulder and even my finger, toes and bottom of foot but I doubt a mosquito would bite so many times in the same place. At home, days after giving birth I found one single bug on the blanket I took to the hospital that looked like a tiny bed bug and when I squished it I found blood. I just assumed maybe it came from the hospital bc I’ve searched everywhere in my house with flashlights for signs of bugs and have found none. I mean mattress seams, pillows, carpets, furniture, baseboards and nothing not even blood, eggs or bug poop on the mattress or sheets. It’s perfectly spotless on the bed and everywhere else in the house but I was getting bit before I went to the hospital or found the one singular bug. No one is taking me seriously bc they aren’t getting eaten alive and theres no trace of more bugs. WHAT IS IT?? And what do I do?!
