Demographics - high income 350k + per year
Major - finance/mechanical or biomedical engineering
Stats:
Current act - 27 (aiming for a 32+ in coming tests)(should get it up)
SAT - didn’t take
GPA - UW 3.81, W 4.1 (school does a weird weight system) W gpa shld be like 4.35
Class rank - school doesn’t rank, but I’d be top 15% of class.
Course work - AP us history, AP stats, AP pre calc, AP psych, AP human geography, AP lang, AP macro, AP environmental science, 3 dual enrollment classes online (all A’s)
Extracurriculars

1. Vice President of Foster care support club, raising around $1,500 per year for local foster cares around metro Atlanta area
2. Founder and co President of financial literacy club - teach students at our school the benefits of learning how to do taxes, and real life knowledge to help them in the future
3. JDRF Youth ambassador (I’m a type 1 diabetic) - raise and campaign money for diabetes research, and I did a hospital shadow with an endocrinologist.
4. Children’s hospital volunteering - I was diagnosed with T1D in January of 2024, so I’m doing some volunteering with new found diabetes patients in the hospital to give them a sense of calmness.
5. Held a job throughout senior year - working 20+ hours a week from fall semester, (really good recommendation from my manager)
6. Varsity lacrosse captain - 3 years varsity lacrosse player, promoted to captain this year
7. Student government involvement
8. National honor society 2 year member - bunch of volunteer hours and stuff from that

Essays - I used to live in Charlottesville, so I think I’m gonna write my why uva essay about how much I miss living there and display all my memories about living in Charlottesville as a child and how it’s made me who I am today as a person.

• I also am gonna write about my recent diabetes diagnosis and how hard it was to cope back into school and sports, but how the diagnosis was a blessing in disguise and help my build my character as a person.

I'm fully licensed in Wisconsin, but enrolled in a Post Doc in Illinois. I work at the VA so federally - technically - at work, I am licensed.
Does anyone have a quick answer on whether I still need to follow Illinois supervision rules very close or is it just a formality of meeting one hour a week with my "supervisor"? She and I have been trying to figure out how to navigate this

I'm Zach. I'm in the information technology sector by trade, but a writer otherwise. I work with interactive fiction, currently delving into two of my latest projects (one based in my high-fantasy universe that's been in development for over ten years!)
Anyways. That's a small tidbit, but I've got something better formatted.
What's my Age?: Twenty-Five (25).
Where am I located?: Columbus, Ohio!
Why'd I make this post?: The truth is simple. I'm looking for friends, people that I can grow with, get to know, and if something further emerges - so be it. Above all, personality is a key cornerstone for me. I can work with differing hobbies, cultures, and lifestyles, as long as you can do the same.
What's my Fatal-Flaw?: I'm loyal to a fault. It's screwed me over a bit in the past, but I've since worked to correct it. Nonetheless, I stick my neck out for those I've grown to care for.
How about some hobbies?: Alright, let's line 'em up!

• Writing. I've adored working with interactive fiction, and have multiple novels in development and in the publishing stages. With a little magic and a bit of luck, I'll be a published name pretty soon.
  
• Gaming. I'm into a variety of genres. These range from strategy to RPG, to MMO, to shooters, and beyond. Co-op tends to be a specialty of mine, though I'm quite flexible.
  
• Game-Development. This binds together with writing - especially interactive fiction. I love crafting interactive universes that others can delve into. Dynamic stories filled with choice and riveting corners down every turn. There are so many options to explore, so many characters to meet, befriend, antagonize, and more!
  
• Walks. I love exploring, and taking random walks throughout areas is a favorite of mine. Especially if there's food around to grab a bite of!
  
• Travel. Similar to above. Traveling is a favorite. I'd love to take a trip throughout Europe eventually, or one that winds through the entirety of the U.S. over a two-week extravaganza. What's your dream destination?
  
• Cheese-Making. This one's pretty new, and I'm still in the studying stages. I'm planning on getting into the craft of making cheese. Working with the cultures, ensuring I can create different types, and taste-testing with others. My goal in the long term is to create an artisan business if I can!
  

What's your career?: Currently, I work in the information technology field as a Support Engineer. I'm still quite passionate about what I do, but my long-term goal is to create a self-sustainable income from my writing endeavors.
Lastly, what are some random fun facts about you?: Lining them up!

I'm 2 Months clean, 62 days to be exact and life is better.
I always tell everyone that if you want a better life and you want to win against porn addiction, you have to do the work and you have to do your research (I recommend Dr. Trish Leigh videos on YouTube, she's the best). And if you do Do your research you'll find that there's not a specific timeline for porn addiction recovery because everyone is different but it's helpful to see them because they show us that IT'S POSSIBLE to change and get better, so, as a celebration of my 2 months clean, I'll share mine, I hope it helps you all.
Ps. If this ended up being too long so I'll upload a part 2 or even 3.
-First attempt: I tried quitting as soon as December 30th of 2023, I wanted to change and be better so I just did. No research, no psychological help, no nothing. I've been addicted since I was 6 years old and now I was 27, I was to marry my fiance on Valentine's day and I wanted to change. It was "easy" at first because in my mind I was determined to quit, simple stuff right? It was hellish, I was cranky, in a bad mood all the time, feeling bad, anxious, etc. And I relapsed on day 18.
-Second attempt: I lasted 24 hours and relapsed at 01:00AM.
-Third attempt: 6 Days, but I've had already given up, even my wife told me that maybe I need it to relax, that it was okay and that she didn't judge me for it. So went back to porn.
-Fourth attempt: Over a month passed and I felt horrible, I wanted to quit and so I did my next attempt near the end of February. I lasted 11 days clean and once again I was a mess, anxious, nervous, angry, bad.
It was March 9th when my wife once again said that porn wasn't that bad, that maybe I made my body and mind need it so I should get back. She gave me a very nice speech on acceptance and love of one self so I went back to aliviate myself. (Just for information: My wife knew I watched porn but didn't knew what I watched, by this point I'm my addiction I was watching solo, regular stuff, leaks, celebs, milfs, women of all ages, Swaps, all types of fetishes, incest porn, comics, things with animals, transgenders, all types of bodies, all types of fetishes, all of it... It was bad but never evil.)
That day I was back at porn and I stumbled into a horrible place filled very dark content, things with minors, violence, gore, horrible things... I was shocked! I wanted to puke and I had a full fleshed panic attack! The worst thing of all was that for 1 second I considered watching that stuff... I knew I've reached Rock Bottom, and the worst thing was, that I knew there were darker depths in this terrible spiral.
-Fifth attempt: I told my wife about what I saw the very next day... I was crying, she was shocked. I felt like I wanted to die but she helped me. I tried to get clean again and I started talking to my wife about my addiction, she was very gracious and helped me get it all out. At the beginning it was very frightening and embarrassing but IT REALLY HELPS TALKING TO SOMEONE about it.
Talking about how it all started and what I've seen I realized that I had a lot of trauma, sexual trauma and horrible terrible experiences with depression, exposure to horror and shocking Content (which is a big cause of porn addiction) and plenty of other stuff. By now I KNEW I had to quit porn and I did a terrible thing... I went back to see if watching one of these horrible videos would scare me straight out of porn... Horrible and stupid idea.

Taking a gander on here and most stories (and horror stories) are when a man and woman open their marriage and she is much more successful, etc etc etc.
My wife has a much higher sex drive than I do so we’ve starting discussing the possibility of an open marriage. We envision primarily threesomes with an additional woman. Wife gets most of the action.

Hey everyone.
I was trying to find an answer to my question, but all stuff I found online was about the reverse case - someone bringing electronics into Switzerland.
My case is different, I'm leaving in Switzerland but I'd like to buy a gift (small electronics, a camera) for my relative and transport it to EU by plane. Do you know if I'd have to pay customs or declare it anywhere in this case?
