In fact, many are finding it harder than they ever thought it would be to land a job.
Tech giants that were expanding aggressively just a few years ago now have less need for entry-level hires-or are shedding jobs. 2024.05.21 09:37 AdditionalHandle3594 10 Reliable ExtraTorrent Proxy Sites (ALL WORKING!)

10 Reliable ExtraTorrent Proxy Sites (ALL WORKING!)
A proxy site acts as an intermediary, mirroring the original website to connect users to the content they seek. In the case of ExtraTorrents, these proxy sites replicate the torrent directory, allowing users to download the same digital content that was once available on ExtraTorrents.
These proxy sites are hosted in regions where ExtraTorrents isn’t blocked, enabling users to bypass geo-restrictions. Therefore, even if ExtraTorrents is blocked in your country, you can still access its content through an ExtraTorrents proxy site.
https://preview.redd.it/2ozlxedsgq1d1.png?width=804&format=png&auto=webp&s=9dcb9968a7325a597e4bc22ee9cdf96e2868e480

How ExtraTorrent Proxy Sites Work

Similar to other torrent platforms like The Pirate Bay and YIFY, ExtraTorrents has its own set of mirror or proxy sites.
An ExtraTorrents proxy serves as a bridge between the user and ExtraTorrents. When you navigate to an ExtraTorrents proxy, the proxy site connects to the servers and databases where ExtraTorrents’ data is stored.
The proxy then retrieves the web pages, torrent files, and any other content you request and presents them to you. This process enables you to access ExtraTorrents even when the primary site is blocked or unavailable.
Additionally, the proxy conceals your IP address, effectively hiding your identity and geographical location. This is particularly useful if ExtraTorrents is restricted by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or by your country’s regulations. In essence, proxies offer a smart and efficient solution to regain access to ExtraTorrents through cached versions.

ExtraTorrents Proxy List

Discover a collection of fully functional proxies for ExtraTorrents.cc designed to grant you seamless access to the platform. If any of these proxies fail to work for you, simply switch to an alternative option. Rest assured that these proxy sites have undergone rigorous testing and have been confirmed to be unrestricted in the majority of countries.
Our curated proxy and mirror sites list undergoes the latest updates, ensuring that working ExtraTorrent proxy sites are featured here for your convenience.

To ensure seamless access to the website, users may opt to utilize proxies and VPN services. OkeyProxy is a dedicated proxy provider for an effective strategy to unblock restricted websites. Its proxy services typically boast numerous servers across various locations, enhancing both reliability and performance for accessing blocked content.

Is Torrenting Legal?

A prevalent query surrounding torrent downloads is the legality of the practice. In essence, torrenting is legal. Torrenting content from the public domain or legally sanctioned sources is entirely permissible. Games, movies, and files made available by creators can be safely torrented. However, engaging in the downloading and distribution of copyrighted material constitutes an illegal activity.
In instances where copyrighted content is involved, you may face legal repercussions from the copyright owner, as this falls under the umbrella of piracy. Conversely, if you are sharing content that is not protected by copyright, torrenting remains a legal activity.
Employing good judgment and torrenting responsibly is paramount. For added anonymity, consider using a VPN or proxy while navigating the torrenting landscape. OkeyProxy, a dedicated proxy provider, offers an effective solution for unblocking restricted websites.

2024.05.21 04:22 DrNobody_Understands Poor Condition/Highly Priced Technics SL-1200 MK2, Alternatives?

The Technics SL-1200 MK2 seems to be turning into a myth. I have been trying to look for an average to mint condition one on the market and am often finding them to range from 600 to $1k USD . Even on the upper-end, they are not very good condition (dust covers are easily replaceable). I have tried using Proxy Websites as well, but they are no good either when it comes to this specific model.
What is the second best Technics SL-1200 model or other alternatives I can add to my list of possible TTs to consider.

2024.05.21 02:49 Kickn4ss Docker Swarm / K8 with domain name?

Hoping someone much smarter than me comes across this thread.
I have a Raspberry Pi I am trying to replicate onto another Pi at my buddy's house. This would be a simple docker swarm where it's just direct replication then I would use Cloudfare's built-in load balancer to do failover. However, the only way I can seem to get swarm or kubernetes to work is by IP address. I'd rather not set up a VPN network and move everything over there. We would be using Cloudflare tunnels (currently are and they work great accessing the containers, other containers use NGINX proxy manager), and would like to implement those to connect.
something like docker swarm init --advertise-addr "site1.mydomain.com" and in the tunnel that would point to my docker IP:port, and similarly site2 would point to the IP in buddy's network through the tunnel. But, this doesn't work as it's looking for an interface or an IP address.
I feel like either 1) this isn't possible, or 2) I am just missing something and I can't quite figure out how to do this.
Another thought was using Cloudflare Tunnel's private network and then using the host names and advertising on each other's network but that looks like it's more meant for endpoint devices like windows laptops etc.
Main goal: Have HA between 2 or 3 docker instances on separate physical locations and networks (I believe 3 is the minimum in which case I have another buddy, I'll just have to buy another device). Then use Cloudflare Loadbalancer to do failover load balancing between the subdomains for container access and some Wordpress websites. I could just setup a local swarm but then really that's not true HA (from my understanding) bc if my power or internet goes out, or have a device failure, then the containers and sites are unreachable.
Also in the future switching over to nuc's or something similar so if there's something someone suggests but it's not possible to do on Pi's then I can just upgrade my home lab sooner.

2024.05.20 23:08 Frownhorse [GUIDE] Create PayPal Stealth Account for Privacy purporses.

[GUIDE] Create PayPal Stealth Account for Privacy purporses.
Virtual numbers provide a layer of privacy by allowing you to make and receive calls and messages without revealing your real phone number. Static residential proxies offer a stable IP address that appears as a legitimate residential connection, making it harder for websites to track your online activities. Firefox, known for its focus on privacy and security, offers numerous features and extensions to enhance anonymity. Together, these tools create a powerful strategy for maintaining anonymity while setting up and managing PayPal accounts.

Tool 1: Mac Address Changer

https://preview.redd.it/ejab0lwtbn1d1.png?width=621&format=png&auto=webp&s=983d69fa64b2e76061a1856eafa14e089699c9cb
The primary purpose of a MAC address changer is to provide anonymity and security. By changing the MAC address, users can prevent their original hardware address from being tracked.
Steps to use the Software:
  1. Open the MAC address changer software: Upon launching the application, it will display a list of all the network adapters available on your device.
  2. Choose the desired network adapter: Select the network adapter whose MAC address you wish to change. The application will then display the details of the selected adapter.
  3. Navigate to the Information tab: Look for the section labeled “Change MAC Address.”
  4. Enter the new MAC address: Type the new MAC address into the provided field. Then, click on the “Change Now!” button to apply the new address.
  5. Generate a random MAC address (optional): If you prefer, you can click on the “Random MAC Address” button to automatically generate a random MAC address from the available vendor list.

Tool 2: Static Residential Proxy (SOCKS5)

A static residential proxy (SOCKS5) is a type of proxy server that provides users with a static, or fixed, IP address sourced from a residential internet service provider (ISP). Unlike data center proxies, which use IP addresses assigned to data centers, residential proxies use IP addresses that are assigned to real residential locations. This makes them appear more legitimate and less likely to be blocked or flagged by websites and services.
One of the key advantages of using a static residential SOCKS5 proxy is enhanced anonymity and security. Since the IP address appears as a legitimate residential address, it is less likely to be detected and blocked by websites and services. This is crucial for activities that require a high level of privacy and security as Paypal creation account.
IPBurger is a provider of residential proxies known for reliability and high-quality services for create multiple PayPal accounts. Ideal for maintaining anonymity. While IPBurger is excellent for these purposes, there are also other reputable alternatives available like BrightData (Expensive).
If you live in the United States, you can avoid using proxies by simply using your smartphone as a hotspot. To change the IP and create a new account, just switch your phone to airplane mode and then turn it off.
However, if you already have a proxy and wish to use it, it is recommended that you first check its quality with services like ipinfo.io or iphub.info

How can i know if i’m using a Residential Proxy?

How to configure the proxy?

To configure a proxy with Proxifier, follow these steps:
  1. Open Proxifier and go to “Profile” > “Proxy Servers”.
  2. Click “Add” to enter your proxy details (address, port, protocol).
  3. Test the connection and click “OK”.
  4. Set rules under “Profile” > “Proxification Rules” to apply the proxy to specific applications.
Tutorial in Video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57RlHRF-oAE&ab_channel=Smartproxy

Tool 3: Firefox + Addons

Using Firefox for anonymity is ideal due to its strong privacy features, such as Enhanced Tracking Protection and extensive customization options. It supports numerous privacy-focused extensions, like NoScript and Canva Defender, and does not track user activity by default, unlike some other browsers.
Important: Use the US version of Firefox
Strict Security: To set privacy to strict in Firefox, follow these steps
  1. Open Firefox and click the three-line menu in the top right corner.
  2. Select “Settings” (or “Preferences”).
  3. Go to the “Privacy & Security” section in the left menu.
  4. Under “Enhanced Tracking Protection,” select “Strict.”
This will configure your privacy settings to strict mode.

Media.peerconnection: To disable media.peerconnection.enabled in Firefox, follow these steps:
  1. Open Firefox and type about:config in the address bar, then press Enter.
  2. Click the “Accept the Risk and Continue” button.
  3. In the search bar at the top, type media.peerconnection.enabled.
  4. Double-click the media.peerconnection.enabled entry to set its value to false.

Canvas Defender: Canvas Defender is a privacy-focused extension designed to protect against canvas fingerprinting. Canvas fingerprinting is a technique used by websites to track users by generating a unique digital fingerprint based on their browser and device’s canvas rendering capabilities. Canvas Defender works by adding subtle, random noise to the canvas data, making it more difficult for trackers to create a consistent and unique fingerprint of your device, thus enhancing your online privacy.
Click here to download the extension.

Tool 4: CCleaner

CCleaner enhances anonymity by clearing browser history, cookies, and cache, which can track your online activities. It also removes temporary files and unused data from your system, reducing traces of your browsing habits and improving privacy. This helps maintain anonymity and can reduce the risk of being detected by PayPal algorithm.
CCleaner oficial Website

Tool 5: SMS Provider

A temporary non-VOIP number is a valuable tool for creating multiple PayPal accounts. These numbers allow you to receive verification messages without using traditional phone lines, protecting your privacy. They are ideal for managing multiple accounts, maintaining anonymity, and avoiding duplication blocks.
Among the most recommended sites is Major Phones due to the quality of the services they offer.
  1. Middle and Long-term numbers: These features allow you to purchase non-VOIP numbers and receive multiple text messages on the same number at a low cost.
  2. Short-term numbers: If you are looking to receive a single text message, they also offer this feature for less than a dollar. The best part is that they indicate the probability of successfully receiving the text message.
Short-term numbers
Moreover, you can check an article of how to bypass PayPal SMS verification proccess in this article

Once we have all the tools, we just need to follow these steps:

  1. Change the MAC address of your PC.
  2. Configure your residential proxy (SOCKS5) with Proxifier and check your IP address in ipinfo/iphub
  3. Configure Firefox with strict security and disable media.peerconnection
  4. Install Canva Defender addons + WebRTC block
  5. Register a new Gmail account (you can use a non voip number for bypass Gmail sms verification).
  6. Get a non voip number from Major Phones (Short/Middle/Long) depends of your needs.
  7. Go to PayPal and proccess to register your account.

Do you guys think it will be a permanent thing? Will it shut down after July 10th when 残夢 is released like the Ado Shop when merch sales for the different shows like 心臓 ended?
It would be nice to have a permanent place where we could buy every single album and Blu-ray that she releases as time goes on instead of using proxy shipping or CDJapan (no hate to CDJapan they are great). Also it’s a nice way to support her directly and it would be great to have something similar with merch releases avoiding the need to search for a specific item in 3127 different stores and websites.

2024.05.20 20:25 theunholyasa Graduated & bought my first bag!!

Graduated & bought my first bag!!
I recently graduated college and since I was in the celebratory mood, I decided to buy a balenciaga pink cyclamen velo bag! I know balenciaga is not the brand to support, so I bought this second hand on a proxy shopping website! It’s my very first designer bag, and not to toot my own horn, but I am in love with it and very proud of snagging it at a borderline almost criminal price.
The first two pictures are the very day I got it, and the third picture was about a week or two later, when I adorned it with chains and stuffies in my usual maximized fashion, but definitely inspired by pictures of Jane Birkins birkin lol!
I know it’s not in the best shape at all, in the slightest lol which may explain the price, but I wanted this bag specifically for the “junky & worn-in” look. As a Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen fan from birth, this is my dream bag and I will rock it just like Ashley!

2024.05.20 18:22 ceestars Any other users self-host Vaultwarden with Dreamhost (who have just announced they are discontinuing Passenger support)?

I've been hosting Vaultwarden using this method on my Dreamhost VPS:
https://github.com/jjlin/vaultwarden-shared-hosting
Dreamhost sent this email about their discontinuation of Passenger, which this method relies upon:
We've recently made some changes to our Hosting platform that will impact websites on your account using Passenger.
After July 30th, we will no longer be able to offer Passenger on VPS or Dedicated Server plans. As such, sites running applications currently relying on Passenger (eg. React, Node, Flask, Ruby, etc.) will need to be set up with a Proxy Server.
Next Steps
In order to keep those site(s) active, we strongly encourage you to look into setting up your Passenger sites using a Proxy Server, as well as setting up Gunicorn and Linger to allow for persistent processes. If you are running a Ruby application, please see the Puma and Linger guide. Please note after July 30th, your sites running Passenger will no longer function correctly without transitioning to a setup like the ones suggested above. Please plan accordingly.
I don't have any experience with Passenger and hoping someone here may be in the same boat as me and can provide a howto. Thanks

2024.05.20 13:12 Dnoco Unique CMS pages OR genuine remove from DOM conditional visibility, PLEASE WEBFLOOOW

Webflow if you're reading this, pleaseeee allow for one of the two, if not BOTH!
Unique CMS pages depending upon item being viewed or a genuine remove from DOM conditional visibility. I don't want to be using reverse proxies.
Its dear near impossible to build any complex website functionality without page speed getting smashed because i've got a bloated CMS page, with conditional viabilities all over the place, whilst my page loads like a freaking snaillllll.
Surely it cant be that difficult to give us unique CMS pages based upon category for example.

2024.05.20 13:06 flyingthroughell does anybody know of this proxy website that can watch unreleased animation(demos)

So basically back in 2021 my friend said he could watch kengan ashura season 3/or season 2 whatever you call it. basically the finale or something and i was really confused because it wasnt released at the time. he than said he had access to a japanese proxy website or something. and that one of his classmates told him about it before and he said it has already stopped registration. and all the anime released there are mostly done demos or something(weird considering kengan was mostly done back in 2021) And that the site had some kind of contract with the animes or something like that. and he didnt tell me anything else unfortunately. one time i was lying on my bed without my glasses on and suddenly this guy says look this is what happens later in the show. and i didnt even get a chance to see it. and he says"thats the only time im showing you this" but i didnt even knew he was gonna do this and he said that proxy is expensive or something. and he didnt really explain how to get the proxy etc so he didnt want to show me for some reason and now im just asking online for any help. so yeah. i do not know if this is true or false..

2024.05.20 13:02 Plankton_Etn Need for Bridges (deep dive)

Bridges

With the proliferation of L1 blockchains and L2 scaling solutions, alongside an ever-growing number of decentralized applications going cross-chain, the need for communication and asset movement across chains has become an essential part of network infrastructure. Different types of bridges exist to help make this possible.

Need for Bridges

Bridges exist to connect blockchain networks. They enable connectivity and interoperability between blockchains.
Blockchains exist in siloed environments, meaning there is no way for blockchains to trade and communicate with other blockchains naturally. As a result, while there could be significant activity and innovation within an ecosystem, it is limited by the lack of connectivity and interoperability with other ecosystems.
Bridges offer a way for isolated blockchain environments to connect with each other. They establish a transportation route between blockchains where tokens, messages, arbitrary data, and even smart contract calls can be transferred from one chain to another.

Benefits of Bridges

Put simply, bridges unlock numerous use cases by allowing blockchain networks to exchange data and move assets between them.
Blockchains have unique strengths, weaknesses, and approaches to building applications (such as speed, throughput, costliness, etc.). Bridges help the development of ecosystems by enabling blockchains to leverage the innovations of each other.
For developers, bridges enable the following:

How do Bridges work?

While there are many types of bridge designs↗, three ways to facilitate the cross-chain transfer of assets stand out:

Bridge Types

Bridges can usually be classified into one of the following buckets:

Trade-offs to consider

With bridges, there are no perfect solutions. Rather, there are only trade-offs made to fulfil a purpose. Developers and users can evaluate bridges based on the following factors:
At a high level, bridges can be categorised as trusted and trustless.
To evaluate trustless bridges based on other factors, we must break them down into generalised message passing bridges and liquidity networks.

Risk with Bridges

Bridges account for the top three biggest hacks in DeFi↗ and are still in the early stages of development. Using any bridge carries the following risks:

How can Dapps use Bridges

Here are some practical applications that developers can consider about bridges and taking their dapp cross-chain:

Integrating bridges

For developers, there are many ways to add support for bridges:
  1. Building your own bridge – Building a secure and reliable bridge is not easy, especially if you take a more trust-minimised route. Moreover, it requires years of experience and technical expertise related to scalability and interoperability studies. Additionally, it would require a hands-on team to maintain a bridge and attract sufficient liquidity to make it feasible.
  2. Showing users multiple bridge options – Many dapps require users to have their native token to interact with them. To enable users to access their tokens, they offer different bridge options on their website. However, this method is a quick fix to the problem as it takes the user away from the dapp interface and still requires them to interact with other dapps and bridges. This is a cumbersome onboarding experience with the increased scope of making mistakes.
  3. Integrating a bridge – This solution doesn’t require the dapp to send users to the external bridge and DEX interfaces. It allows dapps to improve the user onboarding experience. However, this approach has its limitations:
  1. Integrating multiple bridges – This solution solves many problems associated with integrating a single bridge. However, it also has limitations, as integrating multiple bridges is resource-consuming and creates technical and communication overheads for developers—the scarcest resource in crypto.
  2. Integrating a bridge aggregator – Another option for dapps is integrating a bridge aggregation solution that gives them access to multiple bridges. Bridge aggregators inherit the strengths of all the bridges and thus are not limited by any single bridge’s capabilities. Notably, the bridge aggregators typically maintain the bridge integrations, which saves the dapp from the hassle of staying on top of the technical and operational aspects of a bridge integration.
That being said, bridge aggregators also have their limitations. For instance, while they can offer more bridge options, many more bridges are typically available in the market other than those offered on the aggregator's platform. Moreover, just like bridges, bridge aggregators are also exposed to smart contract and technology risks (more smart contracts = more risks).
If a dapp goes down the route of integrating a bridge or an aggregator, there are different options based on how deep the integration is meant to be. For instance, if it’s only a front-end integration to improve the user onboarding experience, a dapp would integrate the widget. However, if the integration is to explore deeper cross-chain strategies like staking, yield farming, etc., the dapp integrates the SDK or API.

Deploying a dapp on multiple chains

To deploy a dapp on multiple chains, developers can use development platforms like Alchemy↗, Hardhat↗, Truffle↗, Moralis↗, etc. Typically, these platforms come with composable plugins that can enable dapps to go cross-chain. For instance, developers can use a deterministic deployment proxy offered by the hardhat-deploy plugin↗.
Examples:

Monitoring contract activity across chains

To monitor contract activity across chains, developers can use subgraphs and developer platforms like Tenderly to observe smart contracts in real-time. Such platforms also have tools that offer greater data monitoring functionality for cross-chain activities, such as checking for events emitted by contracts↗, etc.

2024.05.20 07:57 2captchacom Overview: Six ways to use residential proxies for solving corporate objectives

Overview: Six ways to use residential proxies for solving corporate objectives
https://preview.redd.it/t40pt7aksi1d1.jpg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8b59fa66267c7320d084af9925ef140cff8690a7
IP address masking may be required for various tasks – from accessing blocked content to bypassing anti-bot systems of search engines and other online resources. We found an interesting post about how this technology can be used to solve corporate objectives.
There are several options of implementing a proxy:
  • Residential proxies. Residential IPs are the addresses that Internet service providers give to homeowners, they are marked in the databases of regional Internet registers (RIRs). Residential proxies use exactly such IP addresses, so that requests from them are indistinguishable from those sent by real users.
  • Server proxies (datacenter proxy). Such proxies are not connected in any way to Internet providers for individuals. Addresses of this type are issued by hosting providers that have purchased address pools.
  • Shared proxy. In this case, one proxy is used by several users at the same time; they can be either server or given by providers for their users.
  • Private proxies. In the case of a private or dedicated proxy, only one user has access to the IP address. Such proxies are provided by specialized services, or hosters, or Internet providers and VPN services.
All these options have their advantages, but residential proxies are being used for corporate use increasingly lately. The main reason for this is that such proxies use the real addresses of different Internet service providers in different locations (countries, states/regions, and cities). As a result, no matter whom the interaction is conducted with, it looks as if it is carried out by a real user. No online service would think of blocking requests from real addresses, because it could be an appeal from a potential client.
This opens up a number of opportunities for companies. Let's talk about how they use residential proxies to solve business problems.

Why does a business need a proxy?

According to Distil Networks, a company dedicated to combating bot traffic, on today's Internet, up to 40% of web traffic is generated by non-humans.
At the same time, not all bots are good (like crawlers of search engines), site owners seek to protect themselves from many bots in order not to allow them to access the data of the resource itself or find out important for business information.
The number of bots that are usually not hindered in 2017 was 20.40%, and another 21.80% of bots were considered to be "bad": site owners tried to ban them.

Why would companies try to circumvent such blocks?

Getting real information from competitors' websites

One of the main areas of use of residential proxies is competitive intelligence. Today, there are tools that make it easy to track the use of server proxies – pools of proxy provider addresses are known, so they can be easily blocked. Many popular online services – for example, Amazon, Netflix, Hulu – implement blocking systems by IP address ranges of hosting providers.
In the case of using a residential proxy, any request looks like it was sent by a regular user. In a case where you need to send a large number of requests, you can use residential proxies to send them from addresses from any countries, cities, and associated Internet service providers.

Brand protection

Another practical application of residential proxies is brand protection and anti-counterfeiting. For example, drug manufacturers – let's say, of the drug Viagra – are always fighting with sellers of counterfeit generics.
Sellers of such replicas usually restrict access to their websites from countries where the manufacturer's official representative offices are located: this makes it difficult to identify dealers in fakes and present them with legal requirements. With the help of residential proxies with addresses from the same country as the counterfeit website, this problem can be easily solved.

Testing new features and performance monitoring

Another important area of using residential proxies is testing new features on the websites or in applications – this allows you to see how everything works through the eyes of an ordinary user. Sending a large number of requests from IP addresses from different countries and cities also allows you to test applications under heavy loads.
This feature is also useful for performance monitoring. It is important for international services to understand, for example, how fast a site loads for users from certain countries. The use of residential proxies in the performance monitoring system helps to obtain the most relevant information.

Optimization of marketing and advertising

Another application of residential proxies is the testing of advertising campaigns. With a residential proxy, you can see how an ad looks, for example, in search results for residents of a certain region and whether it is shown at all.
In addition, when promoting in various markets, residential proxies help to understand how effectively, for example, search engine optimization works: whether a site is included in the top search engines for the necessary queries in target languages and how its positions change over time.
Search engines have an extremely negative attitude towards collecting data with the use of their resources. Therefore, they are constantly improving the mechanisms for identifying data collectors and effectively blocking them. As a result, it is now completely impossible to use them to collect data from search engines.
However, it is impossible to block the execution of a large number of identical search queries from residential proxies – search engines cannot restrict access for real users. Therefore, this tool is great for guaranteed data collection from search engines.
Residential proxies are also useful for analyzing competitors' advertising and marketing activities and their effectiveness. This technology is used by both companies themselves and agencies engaged in custom promotion.

Content aggregation

In the era of Big Data, many businesses are built on aggregating content from different sites and bringing it together on their own platform. Such companies also often have to use residential proxies, otherwise it would be difficult to maintain an up-to-date database of prices, for example, for goods of certain categories in different online stores: the risk of a ban is too high.
For example, to create a regularly updated comparison table with prices for vacuum cleaners in online stores, you need a bot that will constantly visit the necessary pages of these resources and update the table. In this case, the most effective way to bypass anti-bot systems is to use this tool.

Custom data collection and analysis

In the last few years, companies that are professionally engaged in the collection and analysis of custom data have been actively developing. One of the brightest players in this market, the PromptCloud project, is developing its own crawler tools that collect information for further use in marketing, sales, or competitive analysis.
It is logical that bots of such companies are also constantly banned, but thanks to the use of residential IPs, it is impossible to do that effectively.

Savings on getting local discounts

Among other things, having private local IP addresses can help to save resources. For example, many ticket and hotel booking sites display geo-targeted special offers. Only customers from specific regions can use them.
If a company needs to arrange a business trip to such a country, then with the help of a residential proxy, it can try to find more favorable prices and save money.

Conclusion

The ability to simulate requests from real users with real local IP addresses turns out to be very useful, both for personal and business goals. Companies use residential proxies to collect data, carry out various tests, work with necessary but blocked resources, and so on.
