We live far away from my in-laws and my parents and had a baby. We plan to use our leave to see them. But my spouse wants to spend 5+ weeks there. I'm worried it will feel overwhelming with lack of privacy and very excited grandparents with their only grandchild from their only child. I'm getting to know my baby as well and feel boundaries will unintentionally be crossed as they already have been or I'll get constant requests to hold the baby or be around them. My spouse didn't know how to confront his parents the first time they did something because he didn't want to ruin the excitement but says he will do better next time. Even though I have a great relationship with them, I don't know how I'm going to feel there with little escape. He told me "it's his paternity leave too" which he only spent 2 weeks of with me before returning to work. So I feel a bit sad and I'm trying to be understanding since he's an only child and we live very far. But I'm wondering if it's a good idea with my 3 month old to spend that long. Has anyone done this and what was your experience like? I'd also like to hear from people who like their in-laws. Thank you!

Hi - while college is expensive, ignorance is even more expensive....I will be 59 1/2+ with a well funded 401k but underfunded 529 plan for my child. Thoughts on using the 59 1/2 rule to help fund the Ohio 529 plan to pay for college?
Let's say I take $60k and move from IRA to 529. While the withdraw from the IRA would be taxed without penalty, I would deduct the first $4k from State of Ohio taxes and the remaining 56k are then deducted in $4k increments (or whatever value the state has at that time).

(My post got deleted from AITA, so I'm here) I think the title kinda says a lot but I'd just like to put out a few important details:

1. I'm a minor (still in high school)
2. I'm recovering from an ED and struggle with depression
3. I really care about school and want to succeed further in life.
4. This is sort of a throwaway account. I was planning to use it earlier but procrastinated until I'm here today.

Ok anyways, here's a quick overview of what happened. I have an older sister who's in college. She has a friend who recently had a baby boy. Now, my sister is close with this friend, if my memory serves me right, they met sometime in highschool. My sister is visiting my mom and me for the summer (parents are divorced if anyone's curious) and invited her friend and friend's boyfriend to come over so we can meet the baby.
My sister's friend said yes and was really happy to come over. She has known me since I was little and kinda views me as her younger sister. I don't really feel the same as we have a big age gap and the only distinct memories of her "bonding" with me were because of my sister inviting her over, or just trying to babysit for a few extra bucks.
Anyways, she wanted me to meet my new "nephew." So let me hold him and starting talking about stuff related to her joy with pregnancy, which I didn't mind until she started talking about some other experiences. She started telling me how she actually had another pregnancy before this which ended in a misscarriage. She then started telling me a lot of details about it.
Now, I don't mind when people vent, I think it's healthy to get something off of your chest, but I'm just really bad at comforting. My mom used to raise my sister and me to think that "feeling bad emotions = bad/weak/not real." She doesn't do that anymore, but I still have a habit of following her outdated parenting. My dad also vents to me about stuff related to his adult-life, which makes me feel uncomfortable, because we're in two different stages in our life, and he always made me feel like I was responsible for. So yeah, I'm not particularly good at comforting people when they're venting.
Anyways, as my sister's friend started to vent more to me, she asked what I would do in her situation. I thought she meant if I were exactly in her shoes right then and there, so I said I'd probably try my best and get help from friends since she wanted this baby. Sister's friend corrected me, and asked what I would do if I were in her situation right now. Like if I just found out I was pregnant in my own life currently, not her shoes.
In all honesty, I'm not very active in the ongoing abortion debate in America. I just somewhat know about each side's stands and I do tend to lean forwards the pro-choice side because of how even life-saving abortions are being banned.
When truly thinking about, I would probably get an abortion. I mean, I'm a minor, my mom is strict and has always told me and my sister she'd throw us out if we got pregnant (so there goes the person I'm reliant on and major support-system), I'm trying to focus on school (or was, it's summer, so I'm just focused on extra-curriculars and my summer-credit classes). I also attend a very academically school (stereotypical for gifted students) that my mom worked really hard to get me into, and with the amount of work we have to do, I'd probably have to dropout if I were pregnant thus ruining my mom's hardwork and a lot of future opportunities for me. I have to take meds for my medical issues so being pregnant would mean I'd have to go off of them and risk my mental health falling to a place where I want to dei again. I don't even want kids, and if I did I would want to have them in my 30's. A lot of pregnancies under 19 are also considered high-risk, so there's that. I'm not interested in dating any guys at this moment of my life, so there's already bad signs.
I kept it brief, and told her, "I wouldn't have been able to be as strong as her in that situation." I thought she'd be satisfied, but she kept pressing on, asking what that meant, and what would my reaction be, would I be happy, sad, mad? When I tried shrugging it off and simple 'I don't knows' and 'I don't really want to talk about this anymore' She just kept asking a lot of questions and pressuring me, so I gave up and just said "I wouldn't keep it." She then got really upset and said how could I kill her innocent baby and what is wrong with me. She started yelling at me saying how wrong I am and her baby didn't do anything.
My mom heard this and asked her and her company to leave. Then a few hours later, my mom told me how sister's friend was really hurt about what I said l and I should've been more sensitive because of her hormones and stuff. My sister was the opposite. She said her friend didn't have any business telling a minor they need to keep a baby and how messed up it was to ask a minor how'd they react if they were suddenly pregnant one day despite (somewhat) knowing my issues.
To keep it short because the post is already long, my sister and mom bickered a bit which ultimately ended with my mom thinking I was TA and my sister thinking I wasn't. I'm just conflicted about all of this now because on one hand my mom has been pregnant and probably knows what hormones do to you and what I said might've been really harmful, but my sister has been friends with this girl for years, so even her pointing out that she might've been wrong is shocking.
AITA/AITAH?

I’m only 9 weeks and it’s my first pregnancy. I don’t feel like telling my entire workplace, due to the fact we still have so many more tests to do.
But I have been in the trenches with severe nausea, morning/all day sickness, and exhaustion.
I’ve had to take a lot of personal leave, annual leave and it’s getting hard to manage.
I ended up telling my female boss (I report directly into the leadership team) who was supportive at first, but has been making snarky comments this week. For example when she asked me how I am, and I respond with that I’m struggling with the constant vomiting and lack of sleep, she just responded that I should be grateful that I’m not in the hospital with it. She’s a mother, she has 2 children.
I’m not running behind on projects, but I have needed to work from home more.
Our leadership team are really snarky with when people need to work from home. We were originally 2 days in office/ 3 days at home, then they made it mandatory for 3 days in the office/2 days at home and no one was happy. And they’ve pushed it on to the senior leaders in the business to set an example and hype up working from the office (which nah, not for me).
I genuinely don’t know how women handle pregnancy and working in corporate roles. It’s a mind fuck and such a juggle.
This company I work for has also cut paid maternity leave down to 4 weeks. My plan was to leave before my husband and I planned on starting a family, but this has been a very unexpected surprise.
If any one has any tips on how they handled their pregnancy in the workplace I’d love to hear them.

I recently got an energy audit done and they also looked at what PG&E rate plan will be the cheapest for me, every month of the year.
PG&E ( like many other bullshit they tell us ) says that they keep us automatically on the cheapest rate plans for us. While this may be true for the whole year, it is certainly not true for every month of the year and they are incentivized to push all of us to a time of use plan.
But if you plan to use AC, or use power later at night as the days grow longer in the summer, a tiered plan (E-1) is much cheaper for you in the summer. My audit was predicting I’d pay a total of $985 on my current time of use plan (TOU-C) between May and September, but I’d pay $735 with tiered (E-1).
Appearently PG&E allows 2 rate switches a year, so I’ll switch back to TOU-C in September.
Tl;dr: get an energy audit (there are free ones available), and see if a tiered plan can save you money over the summer

I planned on taking my nursing school's class for perioperative nursing because I loved my OR rotation, but literally 2 days before the class applications opened COVID hit and they didn't have the class until after I graduated. Now I have 3 years of "nursing" (psych nursing where I'm a glorified pill pusher) and am really looking into a change of scenery. There are a bunch of Operating Nurse positions open in my area, but I know I don't have the knowledge or skill-base to get a job (much less succeed if I get a job by some miracle). None of the hospitals in my area offer fellowships or transition programs for nurses changing specialties, so I feel very trapped. Will there be adequate on-the-job training or a sort of pre-job training that I will hopefully have to attend? The job descriptions state "Certification Specialty preferred", so there's no "requirement" perse.

For context, my parents had me and my siblings really young and my mom wasn’t able to get a degree because she had to raise us. My mom ended up going back to school when I was 15. I am now 19. and this year she graduates with her bachelor’s degree finally.
My mom was hesitant about walking the stage. As far as I was concerned, no one had told me that she was going to be having a graduation. Well, my birthday is in June. It is a very hard birthday for me this year, as I am still recovering from major surgery i had in May, and my closest friends aren’t here this summer due to out of state internships. Because I knew this would be a hard birthday, I wanted to have a nice dinner with all of my family. 2 weeks I had texted in our family group chat talking about how I wanted to have my birthday dinner at this place. We had talked about what day it would work for all of us since the month of june is crazy for us this year. My siblings are traveling, i’m traveling, my parents are traveling, we all have busy work schedules. So it was important we figured out a date where we would all be here. We decided on June 9th to have my birthday dinner, no one had an objection to the date. After figuring that out, I quickly made reservations as it is hard to get a reservation at this certain restaurant. They are usually fully booked weeks in advance. I was able to get the last reservation in June. I was really excited and looking forward to my birthday, I didn’t before because i thought it would suck.
So fast to today, my mom told us that she will be walking graduation. I was really happy until she told us what day it would be. At night on June 9th. I immediately got mad at her and started crying. I got mad at her because she didn’t tell anyone about this. She knew the dates her graduation would be on, but didnt tell anyone the dates. She knew the dates when we discussed the plans for my birthday dinner. She didn’t say anything. I understand that it was a possibility that she wouldn’t walk graduation. But if she had told me ahead of time or at the time when we were discussing my birthday dinner plans, “Hey we can’t do that day, I may or may not be walking graduation” I would’ve not made plans to have my birthday dinner that night. But she didn’t say anything. I’m also mad at the fact that I won’t be able to celebrate my birthday anymore with my family. Like i said, our schedules are too busy these next few months and June 9th was the only day that would’ve worked. And the restaurant Is completely booked up, so it’s not like i can make another reservation. So i’m mad that she didn’t tell me and i’m mad I won’t be celebrating with my family or go to a restaurant that i’ve been wanting to go to.
I’m not talking to my mom at the moment and have been hiding in my room since she told us at around 4. My siblings think i’m overreacting and calling me unappreciative of my mom because she gave up school to raise us and now she’s finally getting her degree. I understand that. i’m very proud of my mom, don’t get me wrong. But i’m mad at the situation she put me in for my birthday. My siblings and dad aren’t taking me seriously and thinking i’m being a baby about it.

(3) Was there a modernization plan?
I can't help thinking about these details, since even JIrcniv did not apply that policy to his reformist government, even though he was always attentive to Renner’s revolutionary ideas.
(4)Did the Emperor probably realize the uselessness of the plan?
(5)Where did slaves get from?
(6)How did slavery affect the New World economy?
(7)Was it because of this contradiction that provoked in Kircniv the revelation of Renner’s inhuman nature?

I woke up this morning, head pounding like a forgotten promise, stumbled into the kitchen, looking for salvation in that black liquid gold.
