I feel like my life has been turned upside down.
My fiance has known me a very long time. He knows that I have a history of very bad mental breakdowns, including psychosis, along with suicide attempts. I have suspected before that he might have been involved in some of it, but I was hoping it was just my paranoia talking. My friends agreed with me on that. I couldn't shake my aching suspicion, though.
A little over a year ago, when I was trying to move on from my now-fiance (after he initially rejected me and was with someone else), I got a massive crush on one of my coworkers. I posted on an anonymous forum that I wanted someone to pretend to be my coworker. One of the accounts that added me knew way too much, leading me to think it really was my coworker.
The account told me he'd be moving in with me. I was convinced it was really him. I prepared my whole apartment, but realized the account ghosted me. I got mad at my coworker, but began to have doubts about whether the account was actually him. He said it wasn't. I thought he was gaslighting me, but couldn't prove it.
I had a mental breakdown and quit that job. I couldn't stop obsessing about the situation. I called with my then-fiance about it and he helped calm me down. Later, I made a different post for a different potential online partner to try to distract myself while I set up a another career path.
A guy added me from that post. He was very suspicious from the beginning, but I couldn't tell reality from paranoia. I was pretty sure he was after me and recording me.
Long story short, he made things so much worse. He was also very cruel, like I would have to fight him off of having sex with me once or twice, he yelled at me, and he tried to gaslight me into thinking I committed a crime that I didn't. (The police had to tell me more than once that I didn't do it.)
The abuse piled up. He had the code to my apartment and continued to be aggressive end after I left him. I ended up with a bmi of about 15 and had to move to a different state.
I pressed me fiance about whether he had been behind any of the fake account stuff. He had denied it in messages, but he was now in person, and I felt more comfortable pressing him harder on it. He ended up confessing that he was not only behind the account that tricked me, but behind the private investigator I "dated."
He knew I had a history of psychological problems. He had this private investigator gaslight me continuously about not investigating me or being an agent during the sexual "relationship." He could see me deteriorating from all of this. He exploited my mental weakness for weeks with this private investigator.
Is this a fixable situation? How do we get out of this? This is one of the worst things anyone has ever done to me. I don't think he's remorseful at all. He says I would've ended up in jail or worse had he not "intervened," despite having no evidence for this and him having actively caused and worsened the situation.
TL;DR: Now-fiance admitted to hiring a private investigator to have a sexual relationship with me under false pretenses and continually gaslight me. He feels no remorse and says I should be thanking him. How can we move past this?

Hi, im trying to do post-synthesis simulation of a counter and i get good results in functional simulations but when it comes to temporal simulations the results are way off.
Im using Vivado 2023.1 and Vivado 2018.3 with the same outcome. As there isnt a lot of temporal simulation info online, idk if I should be doing something else or adding more info to the compiler (I have a lot of experience with functional and behavioral simulations but never tackled temporal ones).
I have not added any constraints bc they are not relevant for the moment, I do not plan to program the FPGA, just want to know how it would behave.

Hello everyone, I have been trying to learn DAX over the past couple of months, and there is one issue in multiple calculations that comes up over and over again in my measures- results at the subtotal and grand total level. Very frequently, I need them to display the sum of the results of my measure at the lower levels, and I have seen several solutions online to solve this issue. However, I haven't been able to replicate them in my code.
Here is a sample measure I have been trying to write, but gave up after several hours :

Note: I know that with how the measure is written right now, the grand total for all the categories would still produce a meaningless result, but for this measure, it is not really a concern, as I was only planning to display one subcategory at a time, so I am more concerned about the result at the category level.
I have checked the individual parts of the measure, and everything works correctly up until the weighted_price_index part, where the weighted index of each individual part is correct, but the subtotal at the category level is wrong. For example, my visual would display 1.61 in the very first month, even though no filters on the month are being applied. and this is indeed the very first month in my data and the indexes for the individual parts are all 1.
So far, the only workaround I came up with when working with measures like this, was to create a calculated column with the result of weighted_price_index, and then create a different measure to take the sum of this column. But, I feel like this approach is far from the best one, as I might end up creating 10 different columns for 10 different measures, and I saw people dealing with this issue inside the measure itself. Also, in the case of this particular measure, I would end up needing two columns, one with the weighted index for the category, and another one with a regular index, had I needed to create a visualization at the auto part level. So, I would really appreciate it if somebody could help me resolve this issue. Thanks in advance!

Where did it go and why?? And also: Where the fuck was the second guy with the code? And the worst part: Why did the 9 Tails not stop spawning????

everyday the same awful stupid questions here - everyone knows them., is this or that av any good ? sorry, yes, i have a somewhat similar question. because i have a retro pc with only Windows XP installed (solely for purpose of 100% correct running certain games/software from that era) (no, i tried wine - is not 100% perfect, and no, emulators on other pcs cannot even emulate a simple 3dfx voodoo 2000/3000 ;-( )
! i Dont want that windows xp pc in any way connected to the internet, because i saw multiple reports of worms/trojans/backdoors and other nasties which are on the lure to any windows pc they can get hold of and i dont want to cope with the consequences thereof.
so i tried clamwin av a few days ago. ..and that scanner takes 7 - 9 hours to only scan a hdd of 80 gigs half full. only thing i want to use it for then, is for the memory/ram scanner - which takes a whopping hour to complete. ..that is way to long !
now asked here some questions about this scanner and i got advised scanners like malware bytes and bitdefender, however at investigation of these,. also scanners like emsisoft emergency kit, they all lack either windows xp support, or lack 32bits support. AND some need to be online for a while after installation to update or even GET any av-definitions. i got eventually at Dr Web CureIt! - which is portable (YAY), and can run on literally anything , so including Windows XP 32BITS!! it is scanning now, and it is ludicrously faster than clamwinav. it takes only a 1 1/2 hours for 40 gigs. and 15-20 mins for the memory scan (seperate).
i like this scanner, i also btw, scan anything going into the windows xp pc with kaspersky on my main pc, but is this thingy any good ?

I’ve just learned of this interesting sword via a Facebook post - this thing has been doing the rounds for several years now. The source is an article at online magazine 'La Brujula Verde' entitled 'The sword embedded in the rock of the precipice of Rocamadour for 9 centuries' written by Guillermo Carvajal in Spanish in 2016, then published in 2019 in English, which seems to be what prompted it to go 'viral' to some extent. I'm a few years late but still hoping to nip this one in the bud as far as posting something that the curious can easily find if they care to look. I would link an image of the sword but all images appear on pages with associated bad history and the rules say not to link to that. Anyway...
I saw several people lamenting that the Cluny Museum had taken this treasure down and put it in a museum. For one thing, if a piece of ferrous metal had truly survived 900 years in an exposed rock crevice (the more famous ‘sword in the stone’ at Montesiepi Chapel was at least protected from the elements), it certainly would have required salvage and preservation. However, what the article’s author failed to bother to find out is that this thing was completely fake in the first place, put there to attract tourists (Barber, Arthurian Swords I, Arthurian Literature XXXV, Volume 35, p.14):

Tourists can see [Durendal] fixed in the cliff face above the doorway to the shrine of the Virgin at Rocamadour; but this is a relatively modern feature and the sword is a nondescript nineteenth-century decorative sword of poor workmanship. In 1787 or 1788, a local lord, the Vicomte d'Anterroches, bullied the canons at Rocamadour into agreeing to present the sword then shown to visitors as Durendal - a coarse short dagger, possibly Bronze Age to the prince de Condé, whose collection of antiquities was dispersed at the Revolution. At some point a story was created that Henry the Young King had stolen the original sword when he came to Rocamadour during his rebellion against his father in 1183, but the first printed record of this is in the work of a late nineteenth-century English historian. There is no known connection between Roland and Rocamadour, and even the origins of the idea that Durendal might have been at the shrine are totally obscure.

Barber’s reference for the sword being fake is none other than the Cluny Museum itself, where the now-relic fake ended up (L'épée: usages, mythes et symboles : Paris, Musée de Cluny--Musée national du Moyen Âge, 28 avril-26 septembre 2011, p.97). The Cluny didn’t acquire it to preserve some 900-year-old treasure, they took it because of its significance as an example of how swords are used symbolically. Now, there has to have been an earlier sword there because Alexis de Valon noted in 1851 that;

Despite Barber’s comment about unknown origins of the Rocamadour 'Durendal' we do in fact know these, back to the early 17th century at least and summarised by Redman as follows:

Writing in 1620, Scipion Dupleix stated that Roland had been interred at St. Romain's and that, according to tradition, his sword had been placed at his head and his horn at his feet. Later, he added, the sword was taken to Rocamadour, while the horn was deposited in St. Seurin's. Mérimée, Inspecteur Général des Monuments Historiques, was in an excellent position to know where such things ought to be, and he thought the sword was still at Rocamadour. Frédéric Mistral was convinced of it. Mérimée's friend Alexis de Valon was not so sure and held that it had been removed from Rocamadour at the time of the French Revolution and replaced by another one not at all resembling it. Prince Lucien had the sword, along with its owner, interred at Roncevaux. For Peyrat, Roland, his sword, and his horn were all buried where the paladin was struck down. Cervantes, we recall, believed that the sword was in the Madrid museum where Quinet claimed to have seen it.

Note that the sword referenced by Cervantes is an entirely different one in the Real Armería de Madrid, which was never claimed to reside at Rocamadour. So we have two competing 'surviving' Durendals, neither of which are even period, much less anything to do with Roland. This is typical of ‘surviving’ heroic swords which are mostly contemporary to the time when they are first claimed to be original. There's every chance that the Rocamadour sword is a replacement for something much older. Redman speculates that there may have been three swords there prior to 2011 (p.106). Whether any sword once in that rock face dated to Roland's era or could even have been his, we will never know. I suspect it originated as a classic ecceliastical fundraising effort, like Arthur and Guinevere's grave at Glastonbury Abbey. Regardless, the claim at hand is about the sword removed in 2011, and we can be certain that the this was definitively a fake, itself now replaced by a sword that will likely also be assumed as real in future. And if you've been to Rocamadour since 2011, the sword you saw is brand new.

Reflections:
I'm super grateful and happy with my decisions. I have committed to Princeton, and it definitely is the best fit for me. College results this year were very random, but I couldn’t be more thankful to get into the #1 undergraduate university. I was worried that since most of my application was MIT-related (Research, classes, Letters of Rec, Awards, Activities), other universities would think I was going there and reject me. College results were super random and stressful, but it worked out better than I could have ever imagined. It's funny how I got waitlisted and rejected from all my target schools (Vandy, UMich, USC) but then got into most of my reach schools.
Advice for Future Applicants:
Be authentic. There is no formula that gets you in. Sure, you have to do a couple of things like getting good grades and SAT scores and having some unique activities and awards, but especially for Top 10 schools, you just have to be unique and authentic. I didn't have any connections or background (like private school and college counselor) that provided me with opportunities. I was literally the first kid ever from my school to get into Princeton. I was authentic and hardworking, did stuff I enjoyed, and one thing led to another. I also spent a lot of time on essays and my application. 50% of the work is actually doing stuff, and the other 50% is showcasing it in your college application. Also, have balance in life. I had a lot of fun in high school and enjoyed the stuff I did. Live life with no regrets. Feel free to DM me.
