I do not know how many people noticed this when looking at the names of certain events in this game, but I noticed something in Azure Gleam Chapter 16.
After the chapter spoiler we are treated to an event titled spoiler as you can see for yourself in the Hopes datamine link I provided.
Those who played Silver Snow or Verdant Wind may recognize the phrasing, and it is actually a direct reference to spoiler

Hey everyone. Glad I found this community. It’s been one month working for the state and I just found out I’m pregnant. I’m super happy about this yet I’m super nervous due to being so new at my job.
My supervisor is honestly such a pain and quite toxic. Her personality sucks. You can tell she hates her job. Given the fact I’m so new, how do I go about this? Do I have to tell her right away? I will need to make doctor’s appointments via Kaiser which they don’t accommodate after 5pm and I’m scared when I do tell her, I’ll be treated worse or will look down upon. I’ve started to already feel super nauseous and very fatigued and upon searching policy / government law, is it true I can request for PDL? Is it possible she can fire me?

My mother had the great idea to embezzle all the money from the travel company she managed in the 90’s.
She ran away to hide her self without any call, or message for the 10 years that she had ongoing issues with the justice and with the Interpol.

At this point, I am old enough to realise she is sick. But, it is not something that takes away the burden nor the pain.
She oficially, came back 20 years ago. As you can imagine her mental state after getting off such a thing enabled her to believe she’s the smartest person alive…… Unfortunately, she has not learnt anything from her past mistakes, and she keeps making undoubtable profits from her new business partners( as well as being the fiduciary of her rich friend with dementia)
To make things clear, she already tried to change her friend’s will, as she thought that it was uniquely distributed. Once again, I had to sit her down and explain to her that about the consequences. Mostly, because her rich friend also comes from a powerful family……
After a lot of struggles, and successfully ran away from her, and all the shit that came behind due the fact that I ran away. Every now and then she just send some money hoping that I will forget her.
This time, she sold a massive house and the check is quite huge. However, even if I know that the biggest trauma of my life is linked to it, and I am not just to forgive because she tries to buy my love. I cannot stop feeling like shit. Feeling mortified because I am know that this money comes from the broken dreams of a lots of families, but also because I know that she is using this a way to prove to our family how much she loves me.
I already told her, that I don’t want to give her the wrong impression. That if she is giving me money as a way to buy my forgiveness, she is once again pursuing the wrong route.
I cannot stop feeling bad for the money. I have a good job. But, I am far from being rich, but luckily a simple life is more that enough for me.
I don’t know own anything, and this might be the only way to effort a house based the latest economy. But, I cannot stop feeling like the broken brat that is taking the money that a lot of families that to work really hard to get.
Therefore, I find myself lost. Trying to figure out what’s the best approach in here

Wherever I go wether it’s Instagram or Reddit or any social media it ain’t matter all I see is how “Mavs had it easy” and how “they are getting swept by Denver or Minnesota” and I can’t help but crack a little smile. Luka has shown he can bounce back and control himself even while injured, Kai can get it going and move up a gear when he’s needed, the roleplayers are playing great and each night someone new shows up! Everyone is upset about people who “took the fun out of the game to optimize” but am I the only person who thinks grinding for a few hours mindlessly is enjoyable to get that much power to go hit the raids? I resubbed with my brother to play remix and part of the fun was seeing how strong our old friends had gotten grinding the frogs and smashing the raids for us. Who does it hurt that we wanted to farm some mobs up for a few hours to become op? I thought that was the whole point of this experiment was to find ways to become op. Instead we are stuck only getting to do it for about an hour and doing 1/10th the damage of our friends now. Was leveling up a mage to grind some frogs tonight but decided to just log off since I’ll have to daily grind to get to the “op” part now. Hate I wasted hours questing after frogging for an hour instead of just doing it while we could. You didn’t have to do frogs if you thought it wasn’t fun and for the people who did it just stopped the whole leveling alts and not having to do 1000 more quests I’ve done 10 times in the past to get to shenanigans. Likely will be back to staying unsigned from wow after this month since it’s never ending fight with blizzard back and forth over having fun.

Hello and greetings once again my fellow CUEnthusiasts!
I’m going to cap off this series with Part 2 of Building your Collection and working towards Completion. This time I’m going to go over some tips and strategies for cards you already have at your disposal in your collection. Again, much of what I cover will pertain to many types of collectors and their goals. I’ll elaborate and differentiate as needed.
Some of what I’ll cover in this post I may have gone over in greater detail in a previous post, so I won’t go much further into it so it’s not redundant. Previous Coaches Corners can be found in this sub, or my post history :)
The first thing I would like to go over, is what you’re working towards (your goals for your collection) and how to approach trading cards in your collection to help achieve these goals.
I would also like to take a second to add and emphasize that having access to or being on a platform like discord or here etc, will be integral for a good amount of what I cover today. It’s the most efficient way to leverage and get the most out of cards you already own for what you’re looking for.
Now there’s many different types of collectors in the game. I’m going to narrow this down and focus on a couple of key ones in regard to today’s topic. Again, some of what I’ll go over will be applicable to a wider range of collectors, so it may be worth a read regardless.
A completionist is someone who is typically trying to get at least 1 of every card. They tend not to trade their singles. I’m a completionist first and foremost so I lock(protect) every card I only have 1 of. To me, there would be nothing worse than trading a card I already had, and need to chase it again. Especially if the card is scarce. The main goal for a completionist should always be to fill holes in your collection, not create one to fill one, regardless of the offer.
Someone who’s just working on decks to play tend to trade singles and look mainly for cards to play. The benefit here is they have singles at their disposal to leverage for cards they’re after. Collecting cards they need is usually secondary, or not applicable at all except for ones they want to use/play.
Now, how do we use what we already have to get the cards we’re looking for outside of the obvious posting in game?
And this is where it’s paramount to leverage a platform. Because there’s certain traders/collectors that you’ll be looking to deal with, as it can be of great benefit to your end goal. And, as I’ve discussed before and this is where it’ll be most applicable. This is where you’ll work out a trade before a card is ever sent. It’s the most streamlined way to trade if you know values and how to navigate trades. (Hopefully my past posts will have helped a bit with this).
What you stand to gain out of being on a platform is the ability to see clearly, offers and what people are wanting and have to offer. Watch for offers and collectors/traders that can help you work towards your goals while trading with them for mutually beneficial trades. And I’ll detail a couple to keep an eye out for.
The Heavy Traders and Veterans: These folks spend a lot of time moving cards and trading. They tend to have larger, and most of the time, complete collections and many duplicates. They’re usually very easy to deal with if you have some knowledge of card values(because trust me, they do). They also post offers on their platform of choice detailing exactly what they offer and what they’re wanting. Pretty straight forward if you’re looking to do a trade that aligns with them too. I will add, some also will pull extras of new cards or packs in general to add to their catalogue of tradable cards, so again, it’s good to check in from time to time. Again, they are usually very easy to deal with as long as values are spot on, especially when taking them up on an offer or making one yourself. And once more, to drive it home lol. It’s very important to learn the value system as best as you can on your platform of choice.
One Card Collectors/Hoarders:
Quick Disclaimer: I’m doing my best to write this without bias as I am a one card collector. However I was, and still am, a completionist first. Even before I started hoarding on this app. And the reality is, these folks are some of the easiest people to deal with on any card app. Most of my dealings, as I’ve mentioned before, have been with them, just because of the ease in obtaining cards you want if they have.
It’s worth while to find out exactly what they offer and trade them the cards they collect, because they will typically trade exactly what they say they will, and it makes obtaining cards you need very easy. The catch is, and this isn’t always the case as I’ve mentioned before when I went into detail about one card collectors/hoarders, you’re going to want to trade them the cards they collect for best results. Same as heavy traders, but these folks usually make solid offers for their cards, and when you’re sticking to what they offer in their post, it’s most likely to result in an accepted trade.
Some will even pull so they can trade for their cards too. I, and many others who have experience with hoarders, spent time tracking down their cards to fill our own card needs and wants. They also tend to pay well for quantities of their cards for a quality card, and this is the only time I feel quantity for quality applies lol. This is a good opportunity to use low value dupes that may not move to get good cards you need.
Typically they don’t trade singles, but there are some who do, as they only play to collect numbers of their cards, but what cards they do offer for their collect cards are usually some of the easiest to obtain.
There many types of players of all levels on a platform, and trades are relatively easy to work out. Other than the couple of collectors I’ve mentioned to keep an eye out for, here’s some other benefits and things to watch out for on the platform of your choice that you can leverage to work towards your goals.
There will always be players trading dupes for needs, working together towards their collection goals. These are usually straight forward, especially if values are known by both players or a value system is leveraged to balance values. Typically the cards traded are what I call filler cards, ones that don’t have demand or playability but are wanted just to round out your collection. It’s usually straight forward 1:1 card for card, matching both rarity and type. Pretty basic stuff but on a platform, can be highly efficient filling out your collection as you can typically put through multi card trades.
Many players chasing completion or filling needs tend to want to knock off the high value ones asap, because this is also a tcg, and they may want to use them to play right away. When they have most or all the higher value stuff and they end up with dupes of them, they’ll sometimes post to break down a value card for quantity of equal value cards they need. This can be paramount to how you get good/value cards for a very reasonable price. Again watch for it to be offered and don’t just send lol.
While a bit less prevalent on this app, there are a few people who run some kind of swap shop(all they do is trade cards, usually of same rarity and type for the same in return). They usually have their own system in place and some don’t use any values for cards other than rarity and type and I’ll provide a couple of examples I’ve seen and done myself (I formally ran swap shops on most card apps I’ve been on). Some will and do trade singles, again, it helps to read and understand their post prior to sending a trade. Adhering to what they post can make obtaining cards from them extremely easy.
Some may offer to give 1 of any card for 2 cards of the same rarity/type as the one you took in return. Some will trade a card of same rarity/type they have over a set amount of dupes of for ones they need or have under a set number of dupes of a card. There’s a few different ones and they’re typically good to leverage for a hassle free trade as they tend to adhere to what they post.
The importance of a platform, even though the player base on them is small compared to the overall population on the app, is the fact that most veteran players and heavy traders/collectors tend to be on them. The ability to work out trades and obtain the cards you want is far more effective than just posting in game. And again, the capability to work out a trade without ever sending a card first is amazing. And the ability to do so with cards you already own is the most economical way to build and/or fill out your collection.
I’m going to wrap up with a few tips for those focused on completing their collection.
I want to stress this point again, as I feel it’s important for a completionist. I did this on any app I tried to complete. Do not trade your singles. While offers may seem, and can be very generous, unless you know you can replace a single with ease, the risk of it being very tough to find again, I’ve found, isn’t worth it. I’ve experienced myself and seen many times a single was traded and the regret afterwards in doing so, not to mention the time investment that may be needed to get it back. And logically speaking, you’ve already found the card once and have it, why would you want to chase it again just to not chase a card being offered? It’s not really progressing towards your goal of completion, it’s just keeping your cards collected at the same number when your goal is to increase that number until you have everything.
What to target to complete first?
This is completely up to you. What I will offer is some brief insight into each limited rarity, mythics and all basics/fusions, I’ll work my way from lowest rarity to highest.
Fusion/Basics: These are so abundant, have no value and are always available. Dupes for needs, rarity for rarity, type for type these are some of the most basic and straight forward trades possible as basics/fusions have no value. The only exception is maybe a new one, but even then, its value is just because it’s new and typically won’t fetch anything of value.
One point I’d like to make and it’s most people’s preference, trade type for same type, so fusion for other fusion, basic for other basic. It’s only because fusion will be used to obviously make a red or ultra fusion. Again it’s more preference. Also consider, as new red fusions are released, some basics become fusion cards to make a new red. So no real damage can be done if you don’t care too much.
In my opinion, basics and fusions (legendary rarity and below) shouldn’t be a focus. Not many are playable, you’ll always get them from almost every pack, and they’re very easy to obtain and complete. I’d say if you’re down to a few left you may as well wrap it up, but you’ll naturally fill out most of them as time goes.
From time to time it can be normal for someone to offer a limited you need for basic/fusion cards. This is ok. I would caution not to send basics/fusion to someone for a limited card unless it was discussed pre trade. There’s an in game decline response that relates to this for a reason xD
Limited Common and Rare- I lumped these 2 together because they’re both relatively similar at least from a completion standpoint. As I’ve said before, these 2 rarities are relatively easy to complete, there’s maybe a handful of meta/playable cards amongst them but they don’t hold a high value. These are usually good to start the journey with as completing them allows the opportunity to use dupes of these rarities to trade to keep them complete and/or to roll up for higher rarity needs sometimes.
Limited Epic and Legendary: These are 2 of the hardest to complete. The reason again being, the majority of value/meta/playable/scarce cards are of these rarities. These would be my last focus simply because with time your collection will grow and that will help to make completing them easier.
My advice when trading your dupes of high value is to get a like value card you need for it. Breaking them down and diluting their value into lesser value needs can actually make the higher needs harder to get if most of your dupes are lower in value. Nothing wrong with it, but just my take. I mention this because as you near completion, you don’t want to be stuck only needing high value cards and having mainly low value dupes for trade for them. It’ll take a while to find someone wanting a breakdown, especially if what you need is scarce. This just helps ensure you have and get value cards knocked off your need list as you go. And always keep an eye out for someone wanting to break down a high value card too. The more value dupes you can retain for high value cards you need is in your best interest to complete efficiently.
Mythics- Again a harder one to complete but not usually as hard as epic and legendary. The majority of Mythics have been around for a long while, mainly the newer ones are harder to get. Now the reason I consider these a bit easier than epic/legendary is because mythics are always being traded. And lots of people on platforms are wanting to break down higher value ones into multiple lower value ones.
Mythics are obtained with time just pulling so I wouldn’t focus too much on them early, as you close out low rarity needs and start getting dupe mythics or rolling up limited cards into Mythics, they’re relatively easy to transact with and fill out. Newer ones are the slight exception as they may be scarce, but again, with time will be more available and as well tend to get cheaper.
Again, preference plays a part and many people just trade Mythics for other Mythics, and I’d urge you to do the same with your mythic dupes until they’re complete or just missing a couple of new ones. Once they’re done or close to it, you can use your dupe mythics to pick off the higher value limited cards you need.
One last completionist note I’d like to make as it relates to mythics.
Mythics cannot be target pulled, meaning, unlike new limiteds/basics, mythics are random and don’t have a fixed pull rate. When you do get one, it’s could be any 1 that’s currently available. They are the main chase when people are trying to stay complete for this reason.
Typically, as I mentioned in another post, it’s not uncommon to see an Anubis, or multiple high value stable Mythics be traded for a new mythic in the early days after its release. If you’re wanting to be complete again asap, you’re going want to manage your Mythic dupes in preparation for a new one. You’ll want to look into rolling up lesser value Mythic dupes into a high value stable one a few times if not more, just so you have a competitive offer early on. If it’s no big deal and you can wait, over time, more copies of a new mythic become available and the price tends to drop until it’s stable.
This, I hope, in combination with what I went over in Part 1, will help you expedite getting the cards you’re wanting/looking for and hit your goals!

Hello all!
I have a question regarding Mahora Academy that I'm hoping someone/someone(s) can help me with (I added the spoiler tag just in case).
For context; I picked up the first 8 volumes of Negima back when it was initially printed here in the US. I absolutely loved it, and hated the wait back then for new volumes to be released. My family later moved and I wasn't able to easily get to a bookstore anymore, so I never bought another volume in-store, but I did end up reading the rest of the story much later on after Akamatsu had already ended it (this was a very long time ago though).
Question:
This brings me to my question. It's been a long time, but I don't recall reading an explanation for why Asuna, and many of the other girls attending weren't already aware that Mahora Academy, and (some of) its students, were magical.
From what I remember in the beginning of the story Asuna and the other students seem to believe that Mahora is just a regular all girls school. The story seems to (initially) try and play that straight at first and some of the girls do seem surprised when they first encounter magic, but after Negi enters the picture and they all become more and more aware of magic's existence, and the fact that some of their classmates (Eva, Setsuna, Konoka, etc.) are magical they seem to accept and adjust to this information well.
So thinking back it seems odd that none of these girls were already aware since they'd all been attending Mahora for some time already and were good friends/acquaintances with each other.
But it has been a long time and I just can't recall anymore, so I've been wanting to know; did the story ever mention this? Like, was it ever stated if the girls were actually aware and just ignored it, or pretended not to notice or something like that? Or did they truly not know and just adjusted to the existence of magic really well? Or is this just a case of, "meh, that's just how it was written and you're thinking too much" lol.
I can completely understand Negi being the catalyst for the existence of magic being revealed and becoming more prominant/accepted at the school, but it just seemed odd that it had never come up prior to Negi given the inherent nature of the school and some of its students.

First of all, I don’t agree with the main complaint by critics that the movie is too long, or unnecessarily drawn out. The first 3/4 of the movie do a great job of setting up the world we’re currently in. We come at the plot from the perspective of an outsider: a protagonist who, although he is an ape himself, knows almost as much about this world as we do.
Proximus and his kingdom are set up perfectly. We are shown a peaceful society that is suddenly ripped apart for seemingly no reason, with only slight glimpses at what this new threat is. As Noa leaves the comfort of his home and ventures into the unknown, he (and the audience) steadily peer deeper and deeper into what this world has become, how Caesar’s legacy has been passed down, and how his ideals have been perverted by others.
By the time we finally get to see Proximus he has been sufficiently built up as a serious threat, and one that we can all relate to: a despot who uses twisted religious ideals to perpetuate his goals.
I think the themes of this film are truly great, and they feel like a natural next step for the franchise: how can the apes move forward as a species and not make the same mistakes that humans did?…
Or at least that’s where I thought they were going with this.
Unfortunately, the movie ends with Proximus and his kingdom thoroughly defeated, and the conflict seems to be switching to one about humans vs. apes.
Personally, I think this is a poor way to move forward with the franchise. I think the first three movies have explored this idea to its fullest, and instead we should spend the next trilogy focusing primarily on the apes and their internal conflicts.
The societal problems that Proximus represents are really quite interesting, and it is a detriment that we seem to be moving away from this focus and towards more of what we saw in the first three movies.
I don’t mind there being human characters, even those who are more intelligent than the savage “echoes” we see in this film.
But having a secret, technologically advanced human society as one of the primary actors moving forward in the series seems to be a misstep and I hope that is not really where they are intending to go.
Overall though, I think the movie was great. Great ideas, good pacing, interesting characters. I was left with a little bit of pessimism for the future of the franchise, but I am hoping that I will be pleasantly surprised with the next installment.

I really don’t know much about autism so i thought I should i ask here.
On 2022, my older sister and grandma passed away. That same year while i was still suffering from the grief, me and my family moved out from our country and started living in a completely different country. So i had to leave my sister’s cat, cousins,friends whom i needed the most that time.
After i came here i wasn’t happy. We had ti live at our uncle’s house but it was tough. We lived in their basement and didn’t get much foods.
We moved out after a couple months. I didn’t do jobs or college until at the end of 2023. because we were clueless about college n stuff. I didn’t get a job that time because i didn’t know people my age working is a thing in this new country.
Now I am in college. and i just can’t talk to people. When people ask me or talk to me my voice doesn’t want to come out. Sometimes i reply with my hand gestures and it’s just so weird.
It just so weird that i can’t talk to people now. I was not like that. It’s nit about the language i am fluent in the language.
I start to panic, i can’t look at them. I am even mad at myself like it’s just not that deep to talk with people. but my body doesn’t want to listen to my mind.
I can’t even explain how hard it is for me to talk now.

Got my s9 just at the beginning of april and ofcourse, had pretty good battery life (20-24hrs) then I updated and was getting the drain so I tried some of the tricks around this sub. I unpaired then restarted the watch and now I’m getting insane numbers.
2 nights ago I went to sleep on 100% at 9pm and 24hrs later I was at 38% after 2 work outs and sleep tracking.
today I had 100 at 7am and 8.5hrs later I’m only at 72%
it’s almost scary. Kinda curious how/why in the new software but I won’t question too much.

The ending of TWOC gives us much clearer hints at where the story will go next than the end of LAOK did. I’d go as far as to say the hints at future conflicts are more like outright promises, especially Rikke’s visions.
The easiest storyline to predict is the one that’s basically summarized through Rikke’s vision in the last chapter. I’ll give my interpretation of the imagery we’re given, but there’s really not that much up for debate:
The bald weaver’s loom is in ruins, but he’s patiently stitching things back together. This is Bayaz, rebuilding after the damage Rikke and Glokta caused to his schemes.
At Bayaz’s side is a black-haired boy and a blond-haired girl. The girl is Hindi, and the boy is Calder’s secret son who we were officially introduced to at the end of TWOC. I will be referring to him as Skarling Jr. In the future, they’ll work as a Two-Man Con to destroy the North and Rikke along with it.
Hildi grows up and the top hat she wears belches smoke. When she blows a kiss, coins fall and turn to chains. When she offers her hand, its fingers become iron rails. These rails stretch forth across the sea to imprison the North. From this vision, we can interpret that Hildi will become an even more powerful and merciless version of what Savine was before the Great Change. I believe she will take her revenge on Rikke for selling out Orso, and she will do this by gentrifying, polluting, and strangling the North to death through industry, novelties, and countless debts. Everything unique and beautiful about the land will be melted away, leaving it a dejected shell of itself.
Skarling Jr sits atop a flaming hill of bones with the Maker’s sword. In the future, he has become the conqueror Stour failed to be, and it can also be implied that he killed Caul Shivers. When he speaks, blood flows out of his mouth which crashes upon the shores of the North and drowns the country. He will cause almost or just as much damage to Rikke’s home that Hildi will through her more insidious attacks on it.
The Crinna will be polluted by Hildi. Rikke’s home, Uffrith, will be once again burned, this time by Skarling Jr. Hildi is softening the country so Skarling Jr can more easily take it, but it’s also the other way around. Skarling Jr is playing the part of the relentless monster biting at Rikke’s heels, which will pressure her to take Hildi’s offers to advance the North’s tech out of desperation. Shivers’ death could serve as the push that leads her to make this choice.
I think Skarling Jr will operate from the shadows for a long time, striking small but impossible not to notice slights against Rikke’s authority. The presence of a faceless enemy will drive Rikke into paranoia, and this will allow little miss oil baron Hildi to step in and sell her snake oil.
Rikke is now aware of them, though. She might not know their names, but she does know vaguely who they are and what they’re going to do. Whether or not Rikke will prepare I don’t know.
Given his role in the story now, I think Jonas Clover will act as the head caretaker of the Northern Library whenever Bayaz is away. He will also act as a father figure to both Skarling Jr and Hildi, planting doubts in their head as to whether or not Bayaz is a man they want to take orders from.
Compared to the previous visions that were much more overt in their symbolism, the last vision of the weaver (Bayaz) is harder to pin down. One of his eyes holds a stone on fire. On the stone is a circle of runes, and in the center of those runes is a black door. From the black door, a white figure emerges from an ocean. Could this burning stone be The Seed? The black door could be the gate to the Other Side, which, when opened, will bring back Euz. I don’t know who else the white figure could be, let alone how events will lead Bayaz to this.
Other predictions are harder to make, but I’ll take a shot in the dark.
Savine and Leo’s bickering will evolve into outright hostility toward each other. The Union now essentially has two gov’t bodies, each trying to pull the country in opposing directions. The Closed Council is split between the two. Half of it stands with Savine, the other half with Leo. By the start of the next trilogy, I think the Union will be inching toward civil war. The only reason the two bother with each other now is, as Savine said, for the sake of their children.
By the next trilogy, I think Savine’s children will be somewhere in their mid-teens. How they end up by that time is anyone’s guess, but we can make assumptions based on how they’re loosely characterized in TWOC. Ardee is described by Savine as fierce and overbearing, whereas Harod is meek and submissive. Leo, being the petty jealous bitch he is, resents his infant son. We can already tell that Harod is going to have a strained and difficult relationship with his father. I think over the years, Harod will attempt to mold himself into a mini Leo to gain his father’s approval. This will only remind Leo of what he lost all those years ago, however, so he will grow even more hostile and distant toward his son. Savine will dote on him, but he will show veiled resentment toward her because he believes that’s what Leo would expect of him. Ardee will grow up to be something of a paradox between old Savine and new Savine. Leo doesn’t even try to hide his favoritism toward her, but she doesn’t reciprocate that affection. Leo believes Savine has poisoned Ardee against him, which only increases Leo’s hatred for his wife. Ardee instead tries to impress her mother, but because of her personality Savine can only see her as a bad reminder of her past. Savine becomes just as distant toward her daughter as her own mother was toward her. If a civil war does break out later in the trilogy, I think Harod will eventually side with his mother whereas Savine will shift her affection toward her father.
Gunnar Broad will become a general in the Angland’s army. If - or when - war breaks out in Styria, he will be sent back to the frontlines. Thankfully for him, not as a bridgeman this time. In the event of a civil war, he will side with Leo instead of Savine.
I don’t believe we’re ever going to see Vick again. At least not in any substantial way. Maybe she’ll momentarily return as in Friendly-style cameo, but other than that I like the way her story ended in TWOC.
After she revealed herself as an Eater, Zuri will no longer work as Savine’s companion. May Broad has assumed this role in her place. This doesn’t mean Savine has entirely cut off Zuri, though. She’s still in Savine’s circle, but she now works as an emissary and informant. And occasional assassin, when the need arises. Considering her dreams for peace and progress between the Union and Gurkhul, I believe she will be sent South as an emissary to make friends with a terrifying new Gurkish emperor.
May Broad will be sent North to tend to Savine’s business ventures there, where she will unknowingly aid in Hildi’s plan to corrupt the country. When she does realize Hildi’s intentions, she will serve as one of the few obstacles between the woman and utter annihilation of the North. I don’t believe May will succeed in this.
Jurand and Leo are now open lovers, meaning Leo and Savine are spouses in name only. Lord Marshall Glaward has been sent to Styria to maintain a foothold in the country should things get ugly.
Caul Shivers has hung up his sword, and now controls Ollensand (or Carleon) in Rikke’s name. In his place as an advisor is The Nail, alongside Isern. The two of them clash far more than Isern and Shivers did.
After having been made an informant, Corleth proved her worth and was made master of an organization that functions similarly to Styria’s spies.
The two characters I’m most interested in at this point besides Hildi and Skarling Jr are Carlot and Cathil. How are they going to respond to their brother’s death? Where is that grief going to take them? Leo will of course want to tie up loose ends, placing both sisters near the top of his hit list. If either Carlot or Cathil took after their mother in any way, I doubt they’ll take such a huge blow to their family sitting down.
We know a little about Carlot dan Luthar from her appearance in TTWP. She’s similar to her brother in personality, and seems to have a more strained relationship with her mother. We know absolutely nothing about Cathil other than that she’s married to Lord Governor Skald of Starikland. If I had to guess, I think Carlot will react in a more visceral way to Oreo’s death than Cathil will. She will crave vengeance, as will her mother, but her mother will prioritize her relationship with Shalere more. This woman has been uprooted from her home twice now. She lost it once when Monza killed her father, and again when the Peoples’ Army took Adua. Should she go to war with Leo, she will risk losing her home again. This inaction on Terez’ part will drive a wedge between her and her daughter, which will only sink Carlot deeper into her whirlwind of emotions. To spite her mother, Carlot will turn to a person in Styria who knows all about revenge. Monza Murcatto. I think Monza will groom Carlot to take her place as Styria’s brutal protector. Although Carlot can’t strike a blow against Leo directly, she can emotionally wound him via targeting Lord Marshall Glaward. If we get a standalone, I think it will revolve around an assassination plot against Glaward and other members of the Closed Council (Isher, maybe). If the plot succeeds, Carlot will incite a fourth war between the Union and Styria. That, or she will cause a civil war between Leo and Savine because they can’t agree on whether to go to war.
How Cathil dan Luthar’s story will unravel is anyone’s guess, but I have a feeling the Old Empire is going to take Starikland. The last time they were prevalent in the story was BTAH, and it would be great to see them make a big return.

My husband, my teenage son and I moved to my husband‘s hometown fairly recently. Prior to this we would visit once a year for 10 days by the end of our trip I was exhausted from the dynamic in my in-laws household. Now that we live here and has gotten even worse. Our electricity went out for an entire week during the spring, and my husband was off on a trip. My teenage son and I had to stay at my in law house. She treated me like I was five years old, telling me what I needed to do, exactly how I needed to go about doing it, and what I wasn’t doing right. she is a clean freak and everything has to be done just right. every dish put away on the spot, every towel folded just right ect… you get the picture. she even told me that if I lost weight, I would get rid of most of my health problems. I had just had back surgery and I total knee replacement six months prior and waiting on another new replacement. I may have been 30 to 40 pounds overweight at the time. It’s hard to lose weight when you’re in so much pain! I also was diagnosed with an immune disorder about three years ago . When we first moved, they wanted us to meet them out for dinner 3 to 4 times a week at eighty to $100 each time. I told my husband that we had to put the brakes on going out to dinner so much unfortunately that was the only thing that brought us together. They hardly ever come over to our place and when they do they want to leave within half an hour unless it’s for a holiday dinner. They don’t have us to their house very much unless it’s to watch hockey, which I don’t like. My husband and son usually go. She waited till we were alone in the kitchen a few months ago and scolded me for not working full-time while I was raising my son. I couldn’t take it any longer, and I firmly told her that I wanted to be there for my son when he was growing up. He wouldn’t be the kid he is if I wasn’t there for him. I got married late in life and have my son when I was 40. after college I worked a corporate career all the way up until I had my son. Almost 2O years! I Had a 401(k) saved up. 2008 my husband poorly managed our finances and we lost our house and our cars and our credit and all of MY money and then had his parents help us out. It was a horrible time. My husband became very verbally abusive with me and started acting and treating me just like his mom. When his mom started in on me, I realized that my husband learned all of his mean tactics from her!!!!! the lightbulb went off, the mean and cruel and constant judging I endured from my husband throughout our marriage, was exactly how his mother was to him. This made me resent her that much more. She told me that SHE herself worked, why couldn’t I? she didn’t go to college, she didn’t work while the kids were small. after the kids were grown she worked as a receptionist at an old folks home for a couple of years. she’s never had to earn her own money and they live in a beautiful home because of my father-in-law and she spends money like it’s going out of style. when I’m around her, I feel like I’m being judged sometime. She’ll even look me up and down, and I can feel her judging eyes thinking I look fat or my outfit is not what she would wear. She’s very quick to tell me what I need to do. I’ve lost a lot of weight since my surgeries and got a real estate license. We are selling our home and I am doing the majority of the work. She told me a couple of days ago that it’s very important that the house is spotless, clean and that make sure the beds are made and the dishes and the sink are put away. Really really!!!

hey so uhh i’m extremely new to this and i’ve been struggling like crazy today just trying to crack one game so i had a few questions 1. how the heck to torrents work? i’ll download it then it sends me to a website with a bunch of coding on it. 2. i’ve attempted to use direct download (using gamesdrive) and i’ve successfully downloaded a game however it never lets me open it either saying “emp.dll wasn’t found” “failed to open descriptor file” or just giving me a error code, then when i do research everyone is saying go to different files that i didn’t get when i downloaded it initially. 3. what are the 500MB parts for and how exactly do you download them because everytime i try there’s like 100 files per page and each one says it’ll take 4 hours..? so i just haven’t been attempting to download any which is likely the cause for my issue on 2. 4. context ig, trying to download hogwarts legacy, i’m using opera gx, i have a vpn, i’ve visited almost 100 threads today including the “pirated games mega thread” and i’ve restart my computer and turned my antivirus off. so i’m just gonna start over. anyone down to make a step by step process for someone who’s been working for over 6 hours tryna learn how to do this 😭😭😭

Hi everyone! I posted a comment about it right after season 3 dropped, and I have seen a bit of interest in the Northwest Passage on here recently. I thought that for those of you who didn’t learn about it extensively in school in the small corner of Canada that I did, I’d put together a little informative post on the extremely brief (and perhaps even inconsequential!) reference to the Northwest Passage in Episode 4. I’ll provide an overview of the Passage and its history, touch on some characteristics of travel to this region, and conclude with some completely speculative comments on the literary purpose of evoking the passage in this scene in Season 4.
Also, full credit to the other NWP enthusiasts who have been making posts about this and discussing it in other threads.
A quick note on the colonial nature of this post: Throughout this short post, I refer to several colonial expeditions to the land many of us call Canada. Although I attempt to be cognizant of my language, it is important to note that the Inuit people who live in the arctic regions that I reference have navigated the sea ice for thousands of years (Panikkar et al., 2018) and that the written history of this region are often hegemonic and euro-centric narratives that were formed within colonial frameworks.

Exploring the Northwest Passage- a bit of context
In August of 1820, Lieutenant Edward Parry, a member of the British Royal Navy observed the dense ice and snow of arctic land and sea that was thought to be the location of the mysterious Northwest Passage. From a simple look, he knew that no ship in existence would be able to pass through ice sheets of such a great thickness and that extended for such a long distance (Brandt, 2011). Despite his pessimism, by Parry’s time, British sailors and explorers had been explicitly seeking the passage for hundreds of years (Williams & Costley, 2010; Day, 2006, p. xxiv), dreaming of exploiting the desirable economic prospect of a Western route from Europe to burgeoning Asian markets.
First encounters: When European sailors first encountered North America, it was in pursuit of a route west to Asia. They were, of course, incorrect about the location of Asia. And although a great deal of interest shifted to mapping the new continent, there was also an acknowledgement that there would be great economic benefits to finding a way around this newly encountered landmass (Day, 2006). Over time, the reasons and methods of locating the Northwest Passage changed and evolved, but interest never truly went away.
Renewed British interest: Notably, at the end of the 15^th century, when the Ottoman Turk’s empire extended into the Mediterranean and eastward, European merchants were no longer allowed to move and trade freely (Day, 2006). Seeking new routes for the Pacific, European (and especially British) explorers turned West. The Northwest Passage was a concept, a theoretical possibility, for European explorers. It was seen as a potential commercial sea route to the trading markets that were already established and burgeoning in Asia. The Passage was a route with phenomenal economic potential, especially as European consumers sought spices, materials, salts, and woods from foreign markets (Williams & Costley, 2010).
Based on their knowledge of the Southern Hemisphere and the potential geography of the world, many believed that a similar passage would be reflected in the earth’s northern pole (Day, 2006). As a result, there was a massive potential for financial gain for colonial governments and individuals, should such a passage ever be found.
Public fascination: The passage became a point of national fascination for many members of the public. In pursuit of this fascination, many enthusiastic researchers “persuaded persons of influence and wealth to send out discovery expeditions” (Williams & Costley, 2010, p. xv). With governments in Europe stabilizing, the emergence of an economy of cheap labour (lower class men who were willing to take on the dangerous work at sea), and the rapid development of ship technology, the 1600s was a prime time to set out on expeditions.
The fascination with the Passage continued for 300 years until a passage was finally navigated by sea in full in the 1900s. Over the course of history, Anthony Brandt describes the fascination with the Passage’s discovery as a tragedy (2011). He writes: “hubris, an all-too-human arrogance and pride that triggered a particular calamity” (p. 5) as being the tragedy of the exploration for the Passage. Despite the fascination of the public with it, the ice “remained intractable, impenetrable, and, for those who challenged it, a kind of fate” (p. 5) George Malcom Thomson reported that the Passage did not exist where popular imagination speculated it must be (Day, 2006). He noted: “the whole enterprise was founded on a misapprehension, a geographical fiction, a fairy-tale … and downright inventions that scholar manufacture to amaze themselves” (p. xxv).
The danger of the passage: Voyages to and in search of the passage were fraught. Many never returned, and those who did survive faced immense physical and mental challenges. There were, of course, significant difficulties with massive ice drifts and shelves. However, the relative location of the expeditions to the north pole led to issues with magnetic variation for compasses. Fog further complicated travel (Williams & Costley, 2010).
There were also extreme mental dangers to pursuing the NWP. MooSmith’s expedition in the mid-1700s reported “potentially murderous quarrels between officers” (Williams & Costley, 2010, p. xvi); John Franklin noted that the things that occurred on his ship “must not be known” (p. xvi); and it was noted that on the McClure, Beckler, and Collinson expeditions, “tensions” erupted “as captains and subordinate officers exchanged threats of court martial, and some officers spend years under close arrest on their ships” (p. xvi).
In the time of Bridgerton: The end of the Napoleonic Wars in 1815 allowed for greater expeditions by the British Royal Navy (Day, 2006). This would have included surveys of a large portion of the global north and the Arctic. There were a large number of “successful” (depending on how you define it) land expeditions that had made progress in producing surveys and maps of the region. Despite significant ongoing interest in discovering the Passage, in particular, little progress had been made. Later still, despite more advanced mapping by the Hudson Bay Company and expeditions by many notable sailors, there was still no route by the 1820s (Day, 2006).
What does it signify? If a character in Bridgerton was voyaging to the Arctic, it could take them less than a year to reach areas of the Hudson Bay that would be suitable for a scientific voyage. That in itself is not overly dangerous. However, the reference to the Northwest Passage is an interesting literary point. Of all of the places to voyage in the Arctic, even at the time, it would have been an immensely dangerous trip to set out on. The persistent lack of success for a solid 30 years after this season takes place may reference the fact that this is a voyage that Debling is unlikely to ever return from.
It doesn’t help that Debling’s odds are really stacked against him. He does not eat meat, one of the only renewable sources of food for arctic expeditions. There is little to no fresh naturally occurring produce (during the Coppermine expedition, the surviving crew members famously ate lichen to survive once they lost the favour of local indigenous groups and fur traders) and did not do well.
Certainly, it lends a very tragic potential element to the story. The Arctic, if mentioned alone, is not necessarily an overly dangerous location to travel to. Yes, marine travel in the 1800s was still a dangerous endeavour in its own right, let alone in an area as unnavigable by sea as the Arctic. However, the North, in many regions, had active whaling expeditions, Indigenous populations that were willing to trade and work with sailors, and (in some areas) active fur trades. If the purpose of Debling’s travel was only to highlight his unique interests and sense of purpose, the show had many methods of doing so. The choice to reference a notorious and dangerous Northwest Passage, there is an extremely interesting element of danger that is introduced.
What would this potential marriage mean for Penelope? Of course, Penelope’s name is a reference to the wife of Odysseus, who unwillingly takes ten years to return home after the Trojan war. In contrast to Colin, who returns with a steadfast conviction, Debling may represent a kind of eternal limbo for Penelope, should she marry him. Although Debling’s trip is set to take 3 years, it would be hard to prove his death. Likely, she would be a widow for years, if not her entire life, before they were able to locate his ship. The HMS Terror was famously lost in 1845 and not located until 2016(!). As a result, Penelope would likely be stuck at home, awaiting his return, in the same tragic fashion of her namesake in Greek mythology.
As such, not only is there a potential tragic reference to Debling’s future, but there is also a dark illusion to what Penelope’s life may look like as his wife. Of course, this is all based entirely on implication, but it is an interesting act of speculative foreshadowing.

Hello, I'm new to Reddit and need some advice.
I am a college student moving into an apartment for the first time with my friend in DC. We have very different financial situations. I attend school on a full academic scholarship, which covers housing costs, while she receives substantial financial support from her well-off parents. I am very low income, and my check for housing doesn’t kick in until mid-September, so I have to pay for the first two months out of pocket. We discussed this when we decided to be roommates that she would take the masters and I would take the secondary bedroom, to help me cut costs. For more context on her living situation this past school year I lived in a dorm, and she lived in an apartment where she was paying 2,400 per month.
We are signing a 6-month lease, as we both plan on studying abroad in the spring (the lease is from August to January). We have found an apartment that fits our budget at $3,100 per month, which is the cheapest we could find and still be close to school. Other apartments we've toured had clear distinctions that the person with the master bedroom (my friend) should pay more due to private amenities like bathrooms or balconies. Which made how to split the rent easier to discus. However, this building doesn’t have those features; the only difference is that her room is slightly larger. My bedroom is 14 x 12, while her bedroom is 18 x 11.
She is very modest about money and even mentioned that having a larger room can be more challenging because it’s more space to manage. She is my friend, and I don’t want to take advantage just because she comes from a wealthy family. Should we split the $3,100 rent down the middle, or should she pay more for the larger room? If she should pay more, how should we determine a fair amount? Also how should I approach this conversation?

We can all agree, in hindsight, one of the best moves GME/RC made was selling some shares back in 2021 and raising 1.8 Billion. This has been VITAL in giving the board a year or two to stop the losses and try new projects. We're now pretty much breaking even and the next step is profitability.
Remember the whole point of naked short cellar boxing, the thing that, in conjunction with private equity snake insiders planted on the board from Apollo and BCG to bankrupt the company from within...The entire point hinges on the fact that the company cannot sell shares to raise money because the stock's price is in the cellar (boxed in a $.0001 range for OTC/Blue/Pink/Sheets, who knows what it is for NYSE?)...
Now imagine if GME had not raised that 1.8 Billion, Ryan and the board had not taken over and kicked out the snakes and GME continued to sustain heavy losses...The shorts bet would have made them Billions, taking all of retails money (as movie stock will soon find out...and as BeeBeeBee Why has found out)
Raising money gives the stock a fundamental bottom, protecting the company and its shareholders.
Just as in 2021, I expect RC to sell into the volatility/gamma squeezes such as the one that just occurred recently. The current cash on hand allows us to be patient and there is no rush to sell these shares any time soon unless the price spikes (hence the filing stating they can sell ANYTIME during 3 years) Selling 45M shares at 60 to a market maker who is buying shares to hedge all the naked calls they sold is poetic justice. GME/RC raises almost 3 Billion from Citadel directly. The fundamental price, based on just cash alone, then brings our value to around $20 a share, just as the past 3 years they've walked it down to 10 because we had only 1 Billion cash, now they will not be able to cellar walk it any lower than 20 because we would have 4 Billion cash. That instantly puts every short under 20 in the red. At that point, the squeeze has officially begun.
A 20 price gives us about 6 Billion market cap, so then it's up to RC and the board to turn profitable, some small shorts closing...etc and that pushes us to 30-40 fundamentally. This is S&P 500 eligibility. This means the whole world starts buying, and then you'll see the same as happened to Tesla. RC the world's richest man in a few years?
So if you're unsure, just think of it the same as what happened in 2021, and look at the world of good that offering did us and how it allowed us to survive and thrive these past 3 years. That offering was mainly sold to retail, however, based on the gamma squeeze, this offering would most likely be sold to whoever is getting gamma squeezed (Citadel).
Two final points.
RC is GME's largest shareholder, who works for free and buys stock with his own money. He is not going to screw himself over. He has the most to lose, and the most to gain.
This in no way bails any shorts out, quite the opposite...it almost certainly seals their fate. Imagine a GME with 4 Billion war chest. The potential is limitless.
The reason it doesn't bail any shorts out is because of the number of shares and the short interest. If GME is shorted 100%, that's 300M shares shorts need to buy.
200% = 600M needed to buy
300% = 900M needed to buy.
And so on.
45M is a drop in the bucket, it doesn't kill a squeeze...unlike the dilution done by another movie stock.
TLDR:
In the short term, it's a small blow, but in the long term, it guarantees MOASS.

A befriended couple runs a local learning platform for engineers. They do okay, but their MRR is only about 2k USD per month so they are on a tight budget.
They made another friend of theirs setup a Wordpress website that contained a million plugins and hacks to run the LMS how they imagined. This friend has fallen out of grace a couple years ago, because the Wordpress website was not able to handle the load.
I am a Software Engineer, but not an amazing ops guy.
I spent the last year to move the Wordpress website to Learndash and woocommerce, bring it to PHP 8.2 and stabilise it. Right now, we are happy on how this website is doing.
We consulted other experts in tech and SEO on how to move on with the learning platform, since it’s not at all optimal and still slow. Even using third party services to optimise the frontend only does so much.
So we were advised to start developing our own LMS, which I am definitely capable of and we already made some progress to the point we want to replace certain Wordpress endpoints with ours.
The agency I work at advised me to go with kinsta, since they would offer managed Wordpress hosting and allow us to proxy parts of the domain to our new service.
This works, BUT: They charge us 50 USD per month per redirect.

• We asked them to add /checkout* - they insist on charging another 50 USD

In the near future we will want to proxy hundreds of landingpages to the new platform, and we discussed this with them, but now they told us they would add charges for each of the urls.
My ideas
I’m thinking to either - Use cloudflare workers - Move to aws/azure with a dockerized Wordpress website and the new service (that is already deployed on docker swarm)
What would you advise us to do?

My company has hired a person to replace my coworker who recently left and after finding out his full name and area where he is moving from, I found numerous articles about him being arrested in 2022 for soliciting minors online. I sent one article to my team lead thinking it must be the wrong person but he confirmed it was the new hire. After expressing my discomfort with the situation, I had conversations with our manager and HR but the issue was made light of bc the charges had been dismissed. Even though my research of public records showed that it was a 7 month sting investigation where he was charged three times with soliciting what he thought were minors (which were actually police officers) and he worked for a school district and the charges were nolle prosse meaning the prosecution decided to discontinue the case for any number of reasons (not necessarily that he was innocent). I was told by management that “he could have simply been texting a student to help with their computer” or “maybe he just got caught up in something but I’d love to hear his side of the story.” Even though I’ve expressed that I am extremely uncomfortable in this scenario, I still have to work closely with him (virtually for now) but having a husband who was I law enforcement, I realize my concerns with this are not unfounded. I will be looking for employment elsewhere bc of how my leadership has handled this but just curious about other people’s opinions on this. I’m not sure how a company can hire a person like this in good conscience and how they can claim to have integrity when the only reason I know about this is because I researched him myself. If I had not, I’m certain they never would have disclosed this to me.
