I'm house hunting in the Baltimore County area, and was set on a neighborhood in Dundalk (Stansbury Shores), but was taken aback by the flood factor risk number on Redfin.
Anyone familiar with that neighborhood know about any potential flood issues there (Stansbury Shores)? How about Dundalk in general? Watersedge? Or does the name give it away?
I've heard those are good areas of Dundalk, but if there are significant flood concerns, present or future, are they really? Buying a home is a significant life purchase, and would like to know if it's worth it considering those areas.
I can't seem find any information to confirm or deny that flooding would an issue there except for that Redfin flood factor number. Would like to hear from someone familiar with or lives in those areas. Thanks

I live on the east coast of Canada and have been an Orioles fan since the 80s, always dreamed of visiting Camden Yards and I think this might be the year. That said, I don't know anything about planning such a trip beyond the fact that my wife and I want to go, and I was looking for some advice from those who have experienced it firsthand. We don't have any pro sports teams where I live, and the idea of being in Baltimore while the O's are winning, and experiencing what I can only imagine is a city-wide buzz is super intriguing to me, I've not experienced that type of scenario in my life. That said, I believe the O's will at the very least make it to the first round of the playoffs, can I already buy tickets for such an eventuality? Is it worth the gamble? And if not for postseason, when would be a good time to go? I don't want to go too late in the regular season when they already have a lock on a playoffs berth, and wouldn't be able to go sooner than later August anyway. Where is the best place to target for seats? Any other must-sees or dos in the city? Is it generally safe for tourists who aren't flashing a bunch of wealth and who will attempt to avoid sketchy areas at night? Thanks in advance for any thoughts you have on it and Go O's!

A few years ago at a festival in Hampden, I bought a really cool piece of art from a local artist.
His speciality seemed to be abandoned factories, as I recall the art was rather two dimensional, kind of like a silkscreen, and used only a few colors. It was factories from different places not just Baltimore.
I loved this style of industrial grunge sort of art, but unfortunatley lost my piece, and would like to buy more. Does anyone know who this was?

Looking to buy in Baltimore, and a lot of the more affordable stuff here has been through hell as single family rentals for “indie” landlords-We’re talking decades of serious landlord specials-So any place you get is likely to need a new roof and have had leaks. (For context I’ve never lived anywhere here without leaks nor known anyone who rents who doesn’t have them. This city’s housing stock is truly screwed)
Found a place with a lot of historic charm that I love that’s about 1500 sqft-but the roof was apparently VERY bad at one point and was completely replaced recently, without re-doing the interior. There are stains from leaks going through different points on the second floor all the way to the ceiling in the first floor. Mildew spots on the walls, bubbling paint, the whole nine.
I assume a proper fix would require ripping out the drywall etc in most of the house and entirely replacing it, as it was likely leaking badly for years. How much would something like that cost? Would I even be able to get a mortgage loan for something in a condition like that or would a bank say no way? Would I need the cash for repairs to get one?
What are your thoughts Reddit? How much of a pain in the ass would it be?

The woke agenda depends upon a few factors:

• Shaming, guilting, bribing, or use of force to get others to buy in.
  
• Controlling one’s ability to openly speak truth.
  
• A group of individuals to paint as the enemy.
  

The woke agenda’s enemy of choice is the American Family—but deeper than that it’s the straight, white male. Western civilization is what the woke agenda looks to destroy, and unbeknownst to most it’s the very cornerstone of western civilization that the woke exploit—free speech. During tougher points in history, those pushing this crazy bullshit would’ve been labeled as mentally sick, and not given the time of day in most cases—but in the social media age their message can reach a larger audience at a moment’s notice.
Coincidentally, it’s that same principle of free speech which the woke are sometimes allowed to control. We have mayors openly playing the race card (Chicago and Baltimore) in major cities, and we have policies in place where criminal conduct such as illegal immigration and crimes up to and including assaults are going unpunished in some of the more woke-affected areas (think California, NY, and places with strong left leaning state and local governments).
For a woke agenda to set in, it has to be allowed to go uncontested—meaning they aren’t challenged by those of us who aren’t batshit crazy. Cowardly people allow stupidity and nut jobs like the woke to speak without any reality given back in the form of words that challenge. Stronger willed individuals fear nothing of being labeled or ostracized by these people whom most of us don’t want to associate with anyway.
In general, remember that we live in a western society that allows for freedom of speech. While the leftist nut jobs always seem to use that privilege our society gives them to spew hatred of the very society they benefit from and protects them, it’s often times that people who actually love and appreciate the society we live in who do not take advantage of that same privilege. I call on all who may read this to never apologize for being unapologetic in your values, and to never be silenced by those crazy individuals whom would wish to destroy the greatest standard of living at any time on this planet—western society.

The Wire is written so well. There are so many details to the show that can only be written by someone who has actually lived those lives. The journalist, detective/police, the docks and the gangster angles are all very real and comes from a real place.
Brother Mouzone takes me out of this realism. He's a caricature. The way he talks, walks and acts feels like the writers just wanted to put a cool gunslinger with a twist into the story.
From a hitman's perspective he's not very smart:
He sticks out like a sore thumb. His bowtie can be seen from a mile away. The retort would be that this is by design, but I don't buy it at all. He walks around without a worry in the world in a place where everyone has a gun.
He takes stupid risks. When he shoots Cheese, if this was real Baltimore someone would have just capped him there and then. He has no back-up. He brags about his hollow point bullets being "his own design" as if he's an actual gunsmith. Nobody is experimenting with making their own type of bullets in real life. Maybe he is saying this to Cheese just to inflate his mystique, but to the audience it just comes off as inauthentic.
I have 20 years in the military and he really strikes me as a complete amateur... or what an amateur would think a cool hitman would look like. He feels picked out of a spaghetti western or a Tarantino movie, that's not The Wire.
He has a driver who acts like a butler, bringing him newspapers, carrying his books and stuff but not being of any real use. Why?
I can see what they were trying to do, and they did it so much better with Omar. Mouzone would fit better into the Breaking Bad universe where the characters are a bit more "fantastical" but to me he doesn't fit very well into The Wire universe.

Hello fellow adventures! I am a 34 yr old ts woman in Franklin county Pennsylvania. I used to play with a group of friends in Baltimore MD, years ago. After moving up here, my health unfortunately went to crap, and it has been very hard socializing and meeting new people (especially people also interested in DnD). I am trying to get a group together, for an in person campaign (I've always felt in person campaigns have more excitement, as everyone can play off of each other, and interact directly). I currently use dndbeyond, but am open to other platforms (just know that my finances are very limited, and I can't afford to buy all of the core books on every platform). Sergei: "Okay, but the next trime you speak to her, I need you to ask her if she can schedule a meet and greet with her uncle at the next banquet at the yacht club. I'll buy him and his wife a damned table. Seriously, though. We need to get him on board before the Governor's ball."

Lance Corporal Todd and Professor Chaos milled about in front of the kielbasa stand munching down some dogs with kraut, and washing it back with lemonade.
LCpl Todd: "Maaaan. A Milkor only holds 6 grenades at a time, that's like over 300+ cultists armed with HK MP5s, M4s, AK-47s, .50 Cal damn nests in the lobby, and fucking Scar heavys for the buildings security forces, not counting RPG-7s with thermobaric to take out vehicles and personnel and shit, and God damned stingers on the rooftops to take out fucking choppers in my immediate fucking AO. How in the fuck am I supposed cum dumpster that many shitheads by myself when the shit goes down? This isn't even a standard M32A1 for fucks sake! What South African shithole did they get this piece of junk from? Literally, Bill's Discount Firearms Emporium? We had an informant within their perimeter security already, but he got popped in the fucking tart two hours ago. Apparently he wasn't properly indoctrinated in Serpent protocol, and got interrogated by a proselytizer. That's when he slipped up. Now that fucker Russel is keeping an eye out for interlopers and apostates. This shit is going to get a lot more difficult to get someone on the inside."
Lt. Gator: "Please tell me you've got a solution, Five…"
Number 6: "We could cause a power surge and overload that floors breakers, and kill the noise, but that would just piss that fucker off and they would hold the meet in a different room. We need that fucking window so we can pop a visual from the spider drones we have set up on the surrounding buildings."
Gunny Wilson: "What I wouldn't do for some noise cancel right now."
Number 7/Overwatch: "Yeah, no shit. We didn't deploy until about 45 minutes ago and we're late to the punch bowl. We've got 12 mins until mystery VIPs drop by, so we've got to get this shit figured out fast."
Lt. Gator: "Copy that five, we'll work on a solution, give us a minute"
LCpl Todd: "How about we send Charlie Brown aka Professor Chaos in there, Gator?"
Lt. Gator: "Negative, Lance. If those fuckers ID him it's fucking curtains. Gunny, got any bright ideas?"
Gunny Wilson: "Wait for the VIPs to show and tag one of their entourage with a listening device from across the street."
Number 5: "Can you pull that off, Gunny?"
Gunny Wilson: "No can do, Five. Will have to get danger close, and those Oscars and Cookie monsters will be swarming the VIPs on the lookout the minute they roll up."
LCpl Todd: "Well, why not tag one of the VIPs with a sticky? Overwatch, you got darts or what?"
Number 7/Overwatch: "If I don't get him on something thick, he'll feel it tag him as soon as it hits him. If they become wise, this shit cavity becomes a hornet's nest."
Lt. Gator: "What do you think, Five?"
Number 5: "It's the best option I've heard so far, so fuck it. Yeah."
Lt. Gator: "Okay, so tag one of the VIPs the minute they step out of the motorcade. If we're lucky, the greaseball fuckwad is wearing a fur coat."
Number 7/Overwatch: "Copy that. And speaking of greaseballs, there they come now. ETA 25 seconds. Looks like they're hauling ass."
Number 5: "Yeah, guessing Otis Spunkmeyer's got these motherfuckers on a tight schedule. Time it right, we only got one shot at this..."
Number 7/Overwatch: "Yeah, on it. Looks like it's the towncar... Ready for joy"
*The three vehicle motorcade pulled to a stop in front of the steps to dirtbag haven. Four armed guards hopped out of the lead and rear vehicle each, and the driver hopped out of the VIP middle vehicle and opened the door.*
Number 7/Overwatch: "Aaaaand holy motherfucking shit. Look who the fuck is popping out..."
Lt. Gator: "Oh fuck. That's Senator Calvin McCoulough. Standby..."
Gunny Wilson: "He's the Executive Director of the Weyland-Yutani fuckwad brigade, right?"

*There was a muffled click as the dart tagged the senator on his shoulder pad, just as his driver closed his passenger side door behind him. The dart was no bigger than a tailor's pin*
Number 7/Overwatch: "Bug's on his jacket"
Lt. Gator: "Audio confirmed. Let's see what this fucker does..."
*The senator's cell phone trilled and he pulled it out of his pocket. He stared at the screen momentarily and answered*
Senator McCoulough: "Yeah? No. Not a good time Brett, I'm about to be in a meeting with someone very important. Yes. I know, they usually do. Yeah, I know. I'll have to call you back. Yeah. Bye." He then hung up the phone and slid it back into his pocket.
Number 5: "Overwatch, you get audio too?"
Number 7/Overwatch: "Confirmed, Five. Looks like dickbreath was talking to 'Brett' so and so. We'll have Cent dig in and find out who the fuck that is..."
Gunny Wilson: "And there they go."
*Four of the armed guards followed Senator McCoulough from behind, while four led the way.*
Number 6: "You know who his goons might be working for, Lieutenant?"
Lt. Gator: "They don't look like secret service or PMC, let alone your typical Guidos. Look what they're wearing. Those are wool overcoats and tweed jackets. You see that fuckwad in the front, doesn't he look familiar?"
Number 5: "I saw that same motherfucker inside of Royal's Bank in the executive lounge... What the fuck is going on?"
Command: "Five Actual. This is command."
Number 5: "Go ahead command."
Command: "Stand down."
Number 5: "What the fuck do you mean, stand down?"

*Five mouthed the words "Fuck" without uttering a sound*
Gunny Wilson: "What the fuck, command?"

*Gator held his hand up to Gunny and they exchanged glances*
Command: "What the fuck is the hold up. Scrub the fucking mission and abort, or I'll put all of your asses in Leavenworth."
Lt. Gator: "Copy that, command. Standing down. You all heard him. Party's over."
Gator and gunny exchanged glances, and Lance stared at 5. The fire in her eyes could melt steel. The audio recording was still live from Senator McCoulough's bug as they made their way to the elevators. Shortly after the doors closed, the signal cut off. Using hand signals, 5 threw up two fingers to 7 in her nest. 7 Nodded. Gator and Gunny saw this on cams and said nothing. When the elevator doors to the 17th floor opens, the audio signal from the bug cut back on...
Command: "I don't think I've made myself abundantly clear. Abort the fucking mission. Lieutenant. 5. That means kill the coms too."
Everyone shook their heads and muttered strings of epithets. Lance yanked out his ear bud and 5 crossed her arms, looking across the street at 6. 6 threw her hands up. Gator then threw his headset on the counter in the van. "FUCK!". 7 Spit out the Grizzly wintergreen tucked in her lip, and muttered, "Shit on a fucking biscuit..."

For some background, I'm an early-20s male. Past experience with fragrances includes:

• $10-15 TJMaxx colognes
• A travel size of "Most Wanted", as picked by my girlfriend.
• One time I sprayed "The Smell of Weather Turning" in a Lush (too expensive for me) and I became obsessed with it. Couldn't find it for cheap, so decided to begin hunting around for other fragrances.

Zoologist stood out as "weird" (and, apparently, so is TSoWT) so I ordered a few samples. Here are my thoughts as a rank beginner who has only read about these notes. So far, only tested on paper. Will update after I try on skin. Also, I am typing these out in the order I try them, which is kind of the order I was most excited to test them.
#1 - Sloth - 8/10
This one I was the most excited for, seeing as that it shared some notes with TSoWT. I really like it. It does smell fruity and jungly, and upon initial spray had a bit of a rubbery smell that dries away quickly. Smells kind of boozy at first, too, but in a good way. Like an expensive, well-spiced rum. I think the fruit I get must be the Acai berry. I don't get the cumin, which I was worried about. Lots of herbs, and the acai stays front and center for a while. I really dig it. It really does give off this "damp" vibe, I really dont know how to describe it but it's interesting.
Update +7hrs: Sloth still smells really nice on me, not super intense (I used 2 sprays) and still acai-forward on me. Still very damp. Its really nice and I'll be wearing it out tonight. I get a whisper of cumin but it doesn't present as BO on me, and it isn't very noticeable either. I think it adds a nice spice character, and it is very subtle. Hay is definitely present, as is a hint of vanilla and a pretty solid helping of lavender. Eventually, I'll cave and buy a bottle of this.
#2 - Camel - 7.5/10
On spray, I get red wine. Fruity red wine, like a Port (can you tell I was a bartender?) . Dries quickly to an incense smell, like I'm in the local East Meets West. It quickly becomes hard to smell, even on the paper. Maybe my nose is tired, or maybe this is what everone was talking about with Camel's less-than-stellar performance. I really like the incense and spice notes here, and that fine ruby port has transformed into dried fruits. I also really like this one, and see it being good for the fall and winter.
Edit: wore this on skin, it is very intimate but smells so good even hours later. After a while it's all incense to me but in a very nice way. Again, will be great in the winter.
#3 - Dodo Jackfruit - 8/10
Smells like aftershave, but there is this really nice juicyfruit gum smell which must be the Jackfruit. Right upon spray it definitely gives off more fruit and spice. I really really like this one surprisingly. Initially I found it boring, but it has something in there that really just makes me want to keep smelling it. I feel like this one also dies down quickly, like camel.
Update: I think this might be my favorite for the time being, its really wonderful for a long time and stays on the skin for a long long time. After maybe 12 hours you really only smell it right up close, and at that point it comes off as all baby powder to me. Not a huge fan of "powdery" scents but this one doesn't give me that vibe until 10+ hours into the dry down. I also will likely buy a bottle of this.
#4 - Koala - 7/10
On start, lots and lots of eucalyptus. I also get the pine very strongly, as well as a lemony-grapefruit citrus. The citrus fades to the background, but definitely stays a while. Smells like these gin-and-tonic gummy bears I had once. It gives off a cooling feeling to the nose, which is very refreshing. I could see this being a great summer scent. I also like this a lot but maybe the least so far, it is a bit uninteresting to me.
Update: I also really like this one a lot! I think it is a great daily wear, its fresh and inviting. Not good for going out, but it is a people pleaser.
#5 - Northern Cardinal - 4/10
It's nice and masculine. It smells brisk and forest-y. It does smell like greenery, and then like flowers. It also reminds me of my dentist's office for some reason. Like a plug-in febreeze smell. It isn't bad, and it would do well in the winter. I lied before, this is my least favorite, but it is still perfectly wearable and nice.
Update: I spray a bit of this on my air conditioner's filter, and it is a pleasant room smell. Its not unpleasant but I'm not really going to wear it.
Some other notes:

• I don't see why these are so polarizing. I definitely picked some of the more "safe" options from what I read, so my next pickup will be some more upsetting and challenging fragrances. I think I need to try Hyrax to really get what can make a fragrance off-putting. None of these really put me off. They all smell really nice and I would wear all of them, and I'm going to clear out my samples of these eventually. That said, I probably need to develop my nose more. I think to the average joe, these will all smell yummy.

At some point when we get so into a topic, we forget what it was like to start off. As a gymrat, I can tell you for certain that before I started I would have seen my current self as muscular, but now I will point out problems in Chris Evans' physique. Something to keep in mind if you are well versed in this topic.

• My experience with Ministry of Scent was overall good. They took a while to ship (4 days from ordering), but I looked around quite a bit and they do the largest sample sizes for the money, I think. Good value. That said, the sprayers are awfully hard to use and need a lot of force to get a good spray. I just weakly streamed Sloth all over my wrist by accident because I didn't full send the sprayer. God help my hair stylist.
