The group, including Lucas, is diligently doing last-minute preparations, carefully and skillfully tending to the food they expertly prepared yesterday. Every single person involved in the work does their part with impressive ease and earned confidence. Lucas's careful contributions, both his direct, visible work, and the boons conferred by his presence allow them to do their work with newfound ease, confidence, and remarkable luck. Lucas occasionally makes minor missteps, but those are due more to the drawbacks he is enduring than anything he actually does. And every time he makes a mistake it's so minor a few deft movements are enough for him to overcome them. All the while he is texting Hannah and is visibly excited to volunteer, even though his motives are still quite selfish.
Lucas wisely does not take a leadership role here. The diligent figure follows the lead of his more experienced peers, and his endless, untiring contributions are enough to allow the group to be ready in an hour, completing work that normally takes them two or three thanks to the various perks Lucas grants them, as well as his actual, material contributions. When the group is ready, Lucas suggests they all swap stories about what led them to volunteer here.

The instant that the golden liquid touches his lips his power begins to flow back into him, suffusing his very soul. Minutes later the lad is welcoming guests and visitors to the church. People excitedly greet him, stunned in two different ways by his appearance.

These individuals, include homeless youth. teen parents, and college students can't resist the urge to take in the cool glass of water on a hot day that is the charming volunteer. His ability to feign kindness and his almost but not quite eerie sense of their emotional states is enough to allow them to develop crushes, platonic or otherwise, on the figure. And in the space of the hour 40 such individuals come through and eat more of Lucas's cooking, enough to allow him to level up his chef class one more time. He eagerly takes a new class ability, one that allows him to grant food he cooks very minor buffs, though he finds that it's not retroactive.

At the same time when the next to last person to eat grabs a spoonful of soup and lifts it to her lips she is unknowingly responsible for time freezing and Lucas gaining a new class, The excited hero immediately changes classes and gains a boost to his intelligence and charisma as a result of it as well as just enough experience to boost the power of "Support", making this the first time that a perk of his has been directly strengthened to a quantifiable extent.

In layman's terms all of the efforts of his allies by a tiny but noticeable margin and weakens the efforts of his enemies by an equal amount. One effect this perk has had is that it allows his friends to cook food that is more delicious, more filling, and healthier than their past efforts. Thanks to "Master of All" and his decision to swap classes to "Fighter" he manages to level up both his "Mage" and his "Fighter" class, opting to give himself a boost to his endurance as a class skill for "Fighter", and a boost to the rate at which he regenerates arcane energy as his class skill for "Mage". It is during this time that Lucas figures out that for his classes to level up he needs to gain class-based experience, but this is the first time that he has seen that he can level a class up without having the class equipped, there just seems to be some relative debuff to the experience gained by the classes he doesn't have equipped. For the first time the figure shuts his eyes and practices his telekinesis by feeling alone, an exercise which results in the acquisition of a strange new skill: Extrasensory Perception, or ESP. The figure excitedly practices this skill, even as he levels up his "Spatial Magic" skill and gains an expensive new spell: "Minor Teleport". This particular spell lets him teleport objects he can see and hit with a small magical ray, causing light, small objects he hits to appear in his hand. The mage's skills with this are enough to allow him to hit a kitchen knife with it and teleport it to him without any issues. Lucas's mind fills with possibilities as he takes in the wicked potential of this spell. Still, the spell costs enough that he can only cast it once or twice without waiting for his pool of arcane energy to recover which limits it's usefulness somewhat but that's only a short term problem.
Monday rolls around and when it does Lucas is delighted to find that he is familiar enough with his surroundings that he settles into a routine. The jumper almost immediately throws himself into his work the minute he arrives at the office and he quickly grinds the day away. The only notable event is his realization that Amy is developing a crush on him, something he notices during lunch when he is eating with her and their small cadre of colleagues, when she eagerly asks him about volunteering. On Monday afternoon the lad goes to the gym and works out, taking another dancing class and leveling up the class partway through the workout. The next month and a half passes in a blur, and Lucas develops a decently strict schedule he sticks to. On Mondays he trains a specific class, not necessarily rogue but definitely something. On Tuesdays he works out, including taking Zumba, a boxing class, and swimming. On Wednesdays he does meal prep and stays at home honing minor stuff. On Thursday he does some sort of volunteering, and on Fridays he actually relaxes and does something like writing or website design. The weekends are filled with volunteering and city exploration.
During this time his classes, other than chef, dancer, and mage, are slow to level up. He actively practices magic, he is a regular chef, and he turns a passive admiration he once had for dancers into something he is surprisingly passionate about. He also begins to volunteer at the hospital he visited, spending a few hours every Saturday in a small room in the back of the hospital looking through paperwork and doing stuff he didn't anticipate a hospital volunteer doing. Still, he quickly racks up trust and admiration from the few hospital staff members who know of him, thanks to his ability to just not complain, coupled with his stunning effectiveness at what he does.
As he begins to approach the two month mark he is a level 10 chef, level 12 dancer, and a level 6 mage, and a level 3 fighter, rogue, and white mage, as well as a level 4 cleaner. It turns out that each class levels a bit differently, which has inadvertently skewed his leveling but he's become an advanced enough chef that his food can be actively beneficial or detrimental and that there is now a 5% reduction in how long it takes him to cook something. He can also now gain modifiers to his interactions with people who've eaten several dishes he's made, provided they enjoyed them. His dancing is similarly useful, and he is a much better mage now than he once was. The figure can also cast spells and use an ability that prevents something from getting dirty, or magically cleanse objects. Despite all of this he remains a level 1 human, having not gained any experience that would level him as a member of his species; it seems that for him to gain such experience he needs to engage in combat and even when he's sparred with people he doesn't fight them to unconsciousness.
He leaves his apartment on the last Monday in October with a smile on his face, ready to begin a new work week.

Don’t get me wrong. I loove the series, the good and the bad. But after rewatching season 1, it is so wild to me how much things could have been different (and possibly better) had they followed the original plan of keeping the Oliver, Laurel, and Tommy love triangle.
Killing Tommy was such a bold but destructive move. They’ve developed the character throughout season 1 to just erase him in a blink of an eye with rare references during the rest of the series. As amazing as John Barrowman was in season 1 and in general, his character had no real aim or purpose beyond season 1. Would’ve been much better narratively if Tommy would’ve taken on the mantle of the Dark Archer after Malcolm’s death in the undertaking instead. It especially makes for a dicer storyline because Tommy already knew Oliver was the Arrow and Laurel picked Oliver. The Harry Osbourne route was the most ideal.
They still could’ve done Slade in season 2 while Tommy developing his skills in Nanda Parbat and finding his purpose as the next Dark Archer, culminating in a more logical season 3/4 involving the League of Shadows. Tommy should’ve been Oliver’s Eobard.
Also, just the way Oliver was head over heels for Laurel in the S1 flashbacks and the notion of her being the love of Oliver’s life, constantly undermining her relationship with Tommy, were thrown out of the window inexplicably for Felicity. Man lived in an island for 5 years fantasizing about Laurel and then suddenly pivoted and forgot all about her. Very weird.
Final part of my rant involves Moira. Killing her was a brutal mistake. It’s again a bold decision and makes for a high stakes season but totally destroys Oliver’s public persona. Most of Oliver’s non-vigilante scenes were either at the Queen mansion or Queen Consolidated. Both were no longer relevant after Moira died. Moira should’ve stayed alive and suspicious but unaware of Oliver’s double-life. It helps ground Oliver and make his private life more interesting and the tension more palpable.
Other quick opinions: Roy Harper was underutilized. Laurel should’ve become a meta. Sara should’ve stayed dead after S3. New team arrow shouldn’t have been a thing. Probably better to have had a recurring team or parallel vigilantes but not sidekicks who know Oliver’s identity. Diggle shouldn’t have suited up unless during an emergency. Thea could’ve been better utilized instead of her being a Roy Harper replacement. Lance should’ve died earlier, showcasing how Laurel deals with it while becoming the Black Canary. Magic was dumb to do in S4 or at least could’ve been done better with clear limitations.

So I came up with this idea years ago while playing Paragon and I just remembered it so thought I'd post.
This would fit in with the medieval aesthetic alongside Grey, Sparrow and Serath.
So the idea is a travelling fire manipulatoentertainer.
We need some ADCs without guns lol so my guy throws fireballs.
Basic - as mentioned hurls fireballs from his/her hands.
Passive - Consecutive basic attacks build up HEAT stacking 4/5 times either increasing attack speed or shredding armour (undecided)
Ability 1 - AOE - Place a ring of fire on the ground trapping enemies inside doing damage over time building every second. Upon walking through the ring you take a flat amount of damage
Ability 2 - Dash - Dash a short distance whilst leaving a trail of fire behind that damages and slows enemies
Ability 3 - Unsure on this but something else that uses HEAT or benefits from it
Ultimate - AOE - This is a weird one but hear me out. So I'd call it implosion. Again maybe benefits from HEAT build up but no necessarily. You implode creating a massive AOE similar to the size of Gids ult doing however much damage but the kicker is it also hurts you due to it being an implosion. Not enough to kill you but most certainly enough for you to have to use it rather strategically...
Anyhow I just think it's a fun little thing to do creating your own heroes. It'd be great to hear what people think though lol

I have my libreelec kodi on a raspberry pi 5 connected to a projector whos half dumb and half dumber, when trying to play a series wich is only on 4:3 the projector just screams No signal! and gets stuck in a black screen.
My first suspect is the 4:3 ratio since it has only happened with this, is kodi changing resolutions and stuff to play 4:3 instead of keep it 16:9 and just fill the sides?
Is there any way of preventing this without stretching the image to fill?

So, my theory is that the humans of the Matrix series were able to successfully colonize space. Followed by those points:
So probably during the events of The Matrix the humans on outer space would live in a state similar to the one from Starfield, if not even more united by the fact that the humans weren't extradited from Earth thanks to a natural disaster, but thanks to the entities, The Machines. This means that probably, during the events of the Matrix, the humans could be, after centuries, preparing themselves to take back the planet.
How the invasion would work isn't on my interests, but it would be a more equal war thinking that since the end of the Human-Machine war The Machines stopped transforming.
So this was all, feel free to prove I'm right or wrong, I'm curious to hear your opinion.

- Human preservation: During the first part of the war, lasting from 2139 to Operation Dark Storm, a large part of the Earth as the America's were untouched by the Machines (Source in basing this on: The Matrix: The Machine War - Every Year, from Eric von Schweetz). With two continents being relatively untouched by the Machines, the humans would probably direct resources to the space program and the colonization of the Moon, founding domes on the Moon surface and constructing whatever necessity for life to... Well, live.

Hi all! I've been putting together a build for a family member to replace their ageing Dell OptiPlex 390 prebuild desktop PC.
It still works broadly fine with their usage, but it's an old system with an Intel i5-2400 3.1GHz, which is a Sandy Bridge CPU from around 2011. It's old enough that it maxes out at Windows 10, among other things, so it's time to get something current and reliable that should be good for another 5+ years at least.
This is most definitely not for gaming — purely a productivity desktop for web browsing, email and video consumption. It might be used for cutting some home video footage once in a blue moon, but that will be so rare that I think going with the integrated GPU on the CPU should be more than enough. If anyone has any thoughts on that front please do say.
I thought for quite a while about AM4 vs AM5, but in the end decided going with the more modern socket in AM5 was the way to go as, should future upgrades ever be needed, this would futureproof the build more than an older socket.
ECC is a big plus for this build, which is what has steered me to the non-G series AMD APUs, which although a bit beefier with their integrated graphics drop ECC support. I know ECC is a bit of a contested topic but as I'm building this for a non-techie user, I think a little extra stability is worth sacrificing some GPU performance. It also means that if extra graphics power is needed, I can just slot a dedicated graphics card at some future point into the build without sacrificing CPU performance with a slightly better iGPU.
I've left RAM off here as PCPartPicker doesn't like ECC RAM, which I'll be getting. Probably 32GB (2x16GB).
Is there anything I've forgotten that I need to include, like fans, etc? Anything I should change? This is my first PC build from scratch so I won't be offended if you point out that I've done something utterly dumb. Thank you!

- The aim is to get lower consumption but with an upgrade that makes financial sense. Electricity is expensive where I live and I'd like to make use of any new technology to mitigate that.

I finished this book in around 5/6 days.
RJ went out with a high!
Wow. So many great moments and storylines in this book, storylines being resolved even! All great except a few chapters of Elayne in the middle of the book. RJ is back to his old form, with great characterisation and stuff happens for once!?! Unbelievable.
You can really feel the story torpedoing to Tarmon Gai’don, I can’t wait.
Here are some thoughts on this book:
Nynaeve
Nynaeve loves, trusts, and feels for Lan so much; I can’t help but tear when she rallies for Malkier. Favourite scene of the whole series personally, involving my favourite characters.
“My husband rides from World’s End to Tarwin’s Gap, toward Tarmon Gai’don. Will he ride alone?
CHILLS!!!
Also, give me more Nynaeve, she needs more page time.
Perrin
Great ending to a sometimes lacking storyline (just Faile’s PoV), and it has ended with Perrin ready for the time ahead with his beloved and the shaido finally disappeared, forever hopefully.
Perrin was so blind to everything but Faile this book. Ignoring the signs of Tarmon Gai’don for the one he loves. This obviously isn’t healthy, but I understand him; his whole family died and she is the one who filled the gaps in his heart, if she died I doubt Perrin would ever recover from it.
I guess Aram isn’t a darkfriend as I previously speculated, just a man who is very susceptible to being manipulated. An abrupt ending to someone who got introduced in the first book, and later become a reoccurring character. His descent was quite tragic though; died trying to kill the man who helped him get back on his feet many times over just because of one man’s manipulation. Fuck Masema.
Rolan and the other two brotherless’ death was unjustified but I can’t blame Perrin for killing him. Adrenaline pumping through his veins and he sees 3 men standing between him and his wife. It was bound to end in blood. However, while Rolan was a bit of a creep at times he didn’t deserve to die like that after helping Faile. Now that I think about it though, he was sort of trying to steal her from Perrin, Rolan’s death was inevitable.
Tam finally learned that Rand is the dragon reborn, after I think around 3 years. I would have expected he would know by now, but I guess the two rivers is notorious for being secluded and only getting information from peddlers.
Perrin and seanchan captain has a quite nice mutual respect for each other, another bridge to seanchan relations has been built.
After all these deaths, failures, and triumphs, Perrin and Faile are finally reunited! I am interested to see where the story goes with them, maybe they will go after Masema?
Mat
Mat is always an enjoyable read, and now he has accepted that he can’t escape his luck and the battlefield, Mat now just tries to work out a way to make as little people die as possible.
I have to talk about Moiraine first of course. She is confirmed to be alive, which I hoped for and expected. However, didn’t expect it to take this many books. I have been waiting too long for this, I missed her so much and I am excited for her to be back hopefully soon.
Mat and Tuon are my second favourite couple so far, after Nynaeve and Lan, they have a great dynamic!
From the start Mat knew that he would marry Tuon, but she was slowly deciphering whether this man was truly who she would marry. She did ask many seemingly random questions which was a big giveaway. The build up was worth it though, she completely confuses Mat by doing it out of the blue and revealing her prophecies from her damane. Hilarious moment!
I feel Tuon growing on me but then I remember that she agrees with slavery and leashing those who can channel. I am conflicted on her, but maybe she will change. We have a love-hate relationship.
Mat, please just go free Moiraine already. Please.
Rand
While he hasn’t had the spotlight for a few books, his chapters are always full of major plot points and revelations which are always great.
Lews Therin is creeping in like a parasite, taking control of the power and Rand even confuses his thoughts with Lews Therin. One lack of control and that could be it for Min or others around him. Disturbing thoughts.
One minute I was watching a lovely wedding between Loial and Erith, the next there is thousands of trollocs outside the window. The juxtaposition is crazy.
The new weaves are really powerful, it can’t be nice for random dead trollocs to appear outside your house though.
Did Semirhage expect to defeat Rand? I think there is some other plot she has. Semirhage went down too easy for that to be her only plan. Potentially trying she is trying manipulate his allies to go to the shadow. Or like many of the forsaken she was just arrogant.
Hoping that Rand gets his hand back, I loved Rands swordplay and It will absolutely cause issues. Surely he can use the power to create a fake hand.
Breaks my heart, to see Rand so calm after all he goes through. Poor guy. Cadsuane needs to teach Rand to feel again and quickly!
Seanchan truce incoming. Rand will now see what Mat has been up to while he has been battling the forsaken.
Egwene
Thoroughly enjoyed her political manoeuvrings around the white tower, slowly planting seeds of dissent between the different layers of aes sedai. Egwene is great at scheming and manipulation; she is a genius. Not the best person though.
I have a lot of respect for Egwene. Multiple strappings a day, and she carries on twisting the aes sedai, what a powerhouse!
Egwene is consistently interesting to me, I think she will play a big part over the next few books.
Elayne
Elayne was great late in the book, while lacking a bit at the start.
She was overconfident this book, just because she won’t die any time soon (min’s viewing) doesn’t mean she can’t be captured. It was very reckless to just burst into the BA’s house and expect to live.
I loved Vandene getting her revenge on Careane, what a way to go, her short storyline was amazing. Amazing but tragic.
I found it weird how an aes sedai sent by Elaida just stormed in, said Elayne would regret sending her away and ran off. There had to be something larger going on with her.
Problem after problem kept pilling up, but she dealt with them with resilience and it somewhat worked out. A true queen if I ever saw one.
Other
Rand has caused a whole civilisation to kill themselves. Let’s hope he never finds that out. This was a really horrifying moment, left my mouth open for a while.
Taim is not a forsaken, but just a very high ranking dark friend it seems. He must be very high ranking to know about the lord of chaos. What if he is a newly raised forsaken? Only the forsaken know about the lord of chaos, not regular dark friends. I don’t know how one would raise a darkfriend though, does it come with new abilities or just being closer to the dark one?
RJ is great at the small details however he doesn’t touch upon the slavery stuff, which I find weird. Could just be me though.
Overall
This book ends so many dragging storylines, I can’t wait for the next!
I’m sad this is the last Robert Jordan book, but I’ve heard that Brandon ended it well, I watched a few videos on him and read his eulogy on RJ and he seems very kind and admires RJ a lot. I don’t know how his writing style is though, maybe someone can give me an idea of how it compares to RJ?
It is tragic RJ couldn’t finish his series by himself though, but glad someone was found to finish it.

- Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) – measures perceived page loading speed and marks the point at which the majority of the page content has downloaded.
- First Input Delay – quantifies user experience of a user’s initial engagement with a page.
- Cumulative Layout Shift – quantifies the amount of layout shift on visible page content and measures visual stability of a page. It’s usually causes by images without dimensions, dynamically injected content, web fonts causing FOIT/FOUT, and other embeds added without dimensions.
One of the simplest ways to optimize cumulative layout shift is to add height and width dimensions to each new site element. Also, avoid adding new content above existing content on a page (unless responding to user interaction).

This is how a site like Wikipedia ranks for pretty much everything under the sun. It has so much water in its bathtub that if you throw another rubber duck in it, it’s going to float to the top without any other effort.

There are several factors that influence your off-page SEO rankings. While each one is tackled with different strategies, they share an overarching goal of building the trust and reputation of your website from the outside.- Inbound links

- Influencer marketing
- Creating awesome content that people want to link to because it is valuable. For example, this super helpful blog post about how to improve about us pages. The post provides a ton of actionable recommendations. People tend to link to content that is useful. Creating an online tool for your industry is another powerful content type. Things like online calculators tend to get the most backlinks out of all content types because they help people accomplish a goal.

- Outreach e-mails to influencers in your industry that ultimately link to you.
- Guest blogging on sites related to yours. These guest posts will have links back to your site.
How many links do you need for good off-page SEO? That is a tough question and it’s going to be based on the domain authority of your competitors, as you want to make sure you’re playing in the same sandbox.
SEOs also used to believe that buying links was a valid way of link building; however, Google will now penalize you for buying links in an attempt to manipulate page rank. You can also be penalized for submitting your links to link directories whose sole purpose is to increase your domain authority. Again, quality wins out over quantity when it comes to link building.

It’s not about choosing between on and off-page SEO, that would be like having to choose between a foundation or a roof for your house.
