2024.05.16 13:00 Zestyclose-Lab-8284 Looking for answers after 4 miscarriages

TW: pregnancy loss
Hello! I'm just coming off my 4th miscarriage and I'm looking for anything that could help explain why this is happening. I have an appointment with my RE next week to talk next steps.
Here is my story.. sorry for the long post. 1st miscarriage: found at 10 weeks, measured 8+6. Had a d&c and tested the poc, turners syndrome
2nd miscarriage: found at 12 weeks, measured 8+5. d&c test came back as partial molar. Tested hcg back to 0, no further complications
At this point my OB ran a RPL panel and karyotyping. Normal. I also started replacing personal care products for more fertility friendly versions and cleaning up my diet, hoping to improve egg quality.
3rd miscarriage: blighted ovum found at 7 weeks. d&c, test came back normal.
At this point, my OB referred me to an RE. I met with 2 different ones and both recommended IVF so we could do PGT testing due to my losses being chromosomally abnormal.
We did IVF, got 3 euploid embryos and transfer one in April. It stuck! We were so excited. However, at our 1st ultrasound the gestational sac was empty. We went back for a follow up and the sac had grown but it was still empty. Another blighted ovum.
The first 2 losses I can understand but the 2 blighted ovums don't make sense to me. These were seemingly normal embryos but they didn't grow properly. Is there something else going on that's preventing them from growing or implanting properly? Did something happen after my 2nd miscarriage that could be causing this? I'm at a loss and don't know if there is more testing we can do or what our next steps should be.
Thanks for listening

2024.05.16 07:10 PkDyem 22 Y/O hypogonadal male?

22 Y/O hypogonadal male?
22 Y/O male. 6ft 227 lbs Attached is a piece of my blood work. Have struggled with motivation/brain fog a lot the last three years. I maintain a good job, and have atleast recently become pretty active. I workout 5-6 days a week and have for about 4 months. I was pretty active in school but could never put on much strength and had gyno my whole life.
I’ve been dieting, trying losing weight after going through a rough break up. Even before the break up my energy and libido were down, I couldn’t keep up with her and she was very attractive.
I have pretty progressed gyno. Always have had gyno since a kid but it’s gotten worse (Estrogen issue? Or diet?)been happening over the last few years I’ve started carrying excess weight around my love handles. Major self-esteem issues Anxiety which I never had before I battle with myself to do the most menial of tasks. I go to the gym with friends regularly and I cannot put on the same strength or lose fat in the same way. (Everyone is different and it’s not a lot of time better late than never to make this change) I have had intense mood swings that are very uncommon for me. (Before break up these existed) I feel incapable and overwhelmed by my life a lot and people always ask me how I’ve got it all put together when I feel like I’m constantly falling apart lmao.
I’m honestly just nervous and looking for some guidance. I went to my primary doctor, got the labs done and she recommended I look into TRT options. I walked into a clinic told them my symptoms and boom.
120 mg/week test 250 a week HCG (I expressed fertility concerns) (Will arrive within a week)
I’ve done nothing but research this the last few weeks. Just want to feel like I’m making the right decision because my QOL sucks very badly right now. I’m not expecting it to make my like myself but atleast help with negative emotion in some capacity and improve mental clarity? Health risks seem minimal when done correctly and monitored closely, just seems like a large commitment.

2024.05.16 05:30 liftweights69 General information, etc.

Firstly, im not a doctor, but endocrinology and pharmacology are a bit of a hobby lol. I see alot of guys posting bloodwork results and asking what they mean, asking why their test could be low, asking about fertility, ball size, side effects, etc. so i wanted to make a post that may help some of them out.
Why is my test low? -bodyfat: bodyfat contributes to aromatization of test into estrogen. Reference estradiol or e2 levels on bloodwork -poor diet: calories too low (if youre natural) and your body will lower test levels. If you dont intake sufficient cholesterol, vitamins, minerals, etc, your body wont have the building blocks for hormone production. Reference vitamin and mineral levels on bloods -poor sleep: your body will not produce as much test if you arent sleeping well -genetics: self-explanatory but some ethnicities are lower test naturally and may be biased more towards estrogen or DHT -SHBG: sex hormone binding globulin can bind up free test into androgen receptors or other places. Reference total test vs free test and SHBG on bloods -concussions: can damage the pituitary and cause secondary hypogonadism
Are there other options than TRT? -yes. Dialing in diet and exercise, sleep, micronutrients is the first step. Beyond that, some supplements do actually influence test either via aromatase suppression, SHBG suppression, or stimulation of LH/FSH.
-beyond that there is HCG/HMG/LH monotherapy. This works by stimulating the bodys natural test production. Will not work if you have primary hypogonadism.
Why is my libido low/ED on test? -crashed SHBG -crashed estradiol -too much estradiol -prolactin levels
Can i maintain ball size/fertility on test? -yes. You can concurrently run HCG/HMG/LH with your test to maintain. HMG/LH are considered by some to be superior options.
Why isnt test making my mental health that much better?/why did my mental stop getting better? -some people seem to feel better with higher levels of DHT in the system than others and so feel better when they arrange that. -as your HPTA gets turned off by exogenous test, your neurosteroid production will slow down as well and many supplement with DHEA and pregnenolone to rectify that.
My doctor said no. Now what? -doctors in many places arent taught endocrinology in med school and many dont have your best interest in mind. If youve done your research and are prepared, take care of yourself.
Do i need an aromatase inhibitor? -depends. If bodyfat is high, you could lose it before beginning otherwise you might. -if you are taking a bolus dose (1x/2x per week) you might as this can lead to large fluctuations in levels. A possible solution is to administer every other day or daily. -if your dose is sub 300mg/week and you arent high bodyfat, you might be able to maintain good e2 levels with DIM, etc. -“other” hormone-based compounds can also act as aromatase Inhibitors -some foods can also help
Arimidex dose? -many consider .125mg or .25 mg to be the best dose for arimidex so as not to crush e2
Aromasin? -considered by some to be a better option for higher dose/week and its said that 25 mg is a good dose.
Resources? -vigorous steve on youtube is great for all things man health and hormone related. -searching the web -marek health (expensive but THOROUGH clinic run by people who specialize in this stuff.) If you feel out of your depth and dont feel comfortable interpreting your bloods and calling the shots, check them out.

2024.05.16 04:44 Ok_Bit_2715 Water weight Trt/HCG

Been on Trt for roughly 6 months and HCG was added 2 months ago. Male:42 Weight: 272-279 lbs Height: 6ft 4in
Test Cyp 200 mg: 0.5ml twice a week Pregnyl 10000: 250 twice a week Anastrozole: .25 twice a week
Since October 2023 I’ve lost roughly 40 lbs down to 270lbs. Lifting 4-6 times a week on a training plan. Get roughly 7k-10k steps a day in stairmaster and additional 2-3 times a week. The past 2-3 weeks I’m up roughly 10 lbs. my diet has been solid with 297g protein, 132g fats 120g carbs.
Anyone else experience water weight on HCG. Thoughts on what I need to do for better weight loss?

2024.05.15 23:59 Afro-Pope What to ask Doctor, if anything?

Hi all,
Just looking for some insight. As part of treatment I am getting for hypogonadism, I get blood work done every six months, usually including a full liver panel.
I just got my liver panel today and the results were pretty typical for the past couple of years - albumin, bilirubin, alk phos, total plasma protein, globulin, albumin/globulin ratio all normal (I can post the full numbers and ranges if needed) but my AST is 50 (normal is <= 39) and ALT is 95 (normal is <=52).
These numbers have fluctuated off and on for as long as I have records (going back to mid 2021).
Every six or so months, the AST has been:
12/2021: 49 4/2022: 52 10/2022: 47 4/2023: 54 11/2023: 39 5/2024: 50
And ALT has been:
12/2021: 112 4/2022: 99 10/2022: 67 4/2023: 86 11/2023: 81 5/2024: 95
About me: I am a 34 year old formerly VERY obese guy who has kept 80+lbs off for a decade, but could still stand to drop another 15-20lbs as I am right around 25% body fat. I am struggling to lose the last bit of weight even with pretty serious caloric restriction and a lot of exercise. My cholesterol is slightly elevated, though my blood pressure is good and the rest of my lipid panel was normal. No abnormalities on kidney panel. I am fairly active, lifting weights and/or doing yoga every day, and I know that resistance training can elevate AST and ALT. I drink very little alcohol (2 drinks a week, maximum, usually on weekends) and do not use recreational drugs. My diet is largely whole grains, lean meats and fish, and fresh vegetables (minimal soda, snacks, sweets). I do take supplements such as NAC and TUDCA. I have no symptoms of any liver issues that I am aware of. My primary care provider is "monitoring" my liver values, but since they have been fluctuating for so long and aren't getting dramatically worse he is not particularly alarmed. I am trying not to be, either, though NAFLD has come up as a possibility.
I will probably just keep trying to lose weight and see how it impacts the numbers.
That said, I have a check-in on today's blood work with my urologist on Friday, and I'm thinking about asking for a referral to a hepatologist since I finally have good insurance that will cover the visit. Does this seem prudent? Is there anything I need to be aware of going into the appointment? Anyone have any thoughts, etc? How nervous would you be if you were me?
Cheers!
EDIT: well, pubmed says that in rats, administration of HCG (which is what I take for hypogonadism) may increase hepatic inflammation, so maybe that's part of the issue, with the caveat that these were obese rats (not humans) taking huge doses.
EDIT 2: huh, higher numbers in the warmer months, lower numbers in the cooler months. That's interesting. Especially given that I tend to drink more alcohol (but not much more) and eat worse during the winter.

2024.05.15 03:24 ghostofbane Restart recommendation

So I've been on trt for about 5 years now. Few months ago felt not as responsive as much. Tried multiple different amounts and frequencies. Last few months I even added hcg. Still no improvement. Tried hcg at 250units twice a week, 500units a week, etc. Yes balls came back but still no libido and sense of well being. Even without hcg I've had great numbers. Test ranges from troughs of 600s to 1200s. E2 ranges from 20s to mid 30s. With hcg I was at 800 t and 23 e2. When I got on a few years ago I was probably just stressed with a failing marriage, overtraining, diet, etc. Don't get me wrong, I made great progress with the energy I got. Going from 170 to 195lbs and pretty lean at being 6 1. Fertility is not an issue as I've had a vasectomy and already have 4 kids. Im just looking to get my libido back, sense of well being, and not have to take cialis which I think no longer is as effective for me anymore.
Looking for recommendations Currently I'm running 50mg of test 2x a week and 500units of hcg 2x a week. Yes I've run higher before on each still nothing worth while.
Looking for recommendations My current supply consist of Plenty of test 4 unreconstituted refill of hcg 2 bottles of anastorozole And about 30 year old clomid pills.
Any suggestions on restarting with that
Thanks all. Just want to see possibly by restarting due to me possibly jumping the gun to early. Pre trt levels were in the ranges of low 300s and low 400s but also felt like shit. Again thinking about it and yes I've had some good weeks on trt but 75% was not good due to hct always climbing and other various reasons. Yes I workout 5 times a week, eat pretty clean, cardio with zone 2.

2024.05.14 06:11 YahYeeta Almost 2 years- No recovery?!

Right, good day everyone,
23M/81-82kg/6'0"
Edit: no need to rip me in the comments. I got big. I got lean. I got strong. The drugs did what they were supposed to do. I used all pharma ancillaries (besides enclo) did 100's of hours of research, months of prep, and over a year of bloodwork before touching anything. Also had a few years of training- but not enough for AAS. Just a young, insecure and down on himself dude who took some gear- we all make mistakes, no matter how well informed we think we are.
So long story short- have ran 3 steroid cycle. First was 2 years ago, last one ended 6 months ago. Not above a gram. No 19nors. Just test + DHTs. Longest cycle 16 weeks, using HCG @1500iu weekly each time.
Edit: LH is always between 2-4. Was 2-4 range when at 400, only time it's been 5 was when at 800ng/dL. It's at 3 as of last test (Test was 7nmol, LH 3, FSH 2)
Pre cycle bloods had me at around 400ng/dL/14-16nmol.
After first cycle (Test @ 350, tapered up 500mg) I pct'd to 800ng/dL (28nmol?). Used Nolvadex @ 40/20/20/20. Also Clomid @ 12.5/12.5/12.5/0.0
Bloods taken 6 weeks after stopping PCT- doubled my Test levels (increased muscle, better diet + sleep) which was awesome! Should have stopped here. Didn't.
After the second cycle, came back at 200ng/dL (7nmol) used same PCT protocol. I was training very hard so I expected this- I actually got way leaner and kept 90% of the strength- despite having this low level (was obviously in a calorie defecit) doing MMA + gym.
PCT'd 3 more times after this:
Nolva only. 20mg/4 weeks. 2 months break- still 7nmol. Still kept same bodyweight so maintenance calories (4.5k)
Clomid only. 25mg/4 weeks. 2 months break- still 7nmol.
Jumped back on Test for 4 months after this.
Then PCT'd again. Enclomiphene only. 12.5mg/4 weeks, followed by a 2 weeks break, then 10mg of Nolva for 4 weeks.
That was the last PCT i've done- still 7nmol following this.
I assumed I was underfuelling- so since then i've gained ~8kg+. My appetite is also insane right now- I never feel full.
Almost entirely fat. No strength increase.
My physique looks like shit, I feel like shit. Have gone so far backwards.
So, I took 3 whole weeks off training pretty much. Did 3 weight sessions, 45 mins each. Nothing else.
Stopped tracking food, but was consuming well over 5000+ calories of almost entirely meat, eggs, cheeses, saturated fats and oils. Yes I know it's hard to say 5000+ calories but remember i've tracked food for 2 years +, I know it was at LEAST 5000 calories.
My appetite is insane.
It's was quite an extreme diet, very high fat, high protein, low carb.
Just re-tested at 4.5nmol-100ng/dL after this rest and refeed and gaining 3kg+ alone during this period. Obviously all fat. No muscle, wasn't training.
I was overtraining and underfuelling for quite some time but i've gained significant weight over the past 4-5 months, but look and feel like shit.
Had abs, veins, strength for 2 years- no matter my test levels, but now it's caught up and it's all gone. Literally back to square 1.
I'm probably going to pin some test P @140mg per week (within the next week), as well as some Tirzepatide @ 2.5mg to shed the shit weight.
Does anyone have any other suggestions before I jump back on TRT+GLP?
Am I stuffed?
I generally kept between 8-10% bodyfat the whole time I was cycling on/off. Few times got closer to 12 when heaviest (88-89kg) but mostly 8-10% range.
Did lots of MMA, lots of running, lots of weights. Was eating 4000+ calories the whole time, but lost/gained randomly.
Usually weight was between 73-77kg- this is when OFF anabolics I should mention. Doing lots of fight training+sparring.
On cycle I would blow up past this with almost no bodyfat gains.
I wasn't massive, but strong and lean the whole time. Got heaviest at 88kg on cycle (1st) and peaked at 80kg last cycle, 8-9% bodyfat.
Lost a few KG during PCT down to 73-74kg- but now back into 81-82kg range.
Now i'm likely 20%+ bodyfat at lower strength and i'm suffering a lot.
What's the smart/logical next step to take here? I have got a script for TRT now. But i'm not sure what to do. I'm 23!
Cheers all

2024.05.13 20:53 lexyfield Conceiving after Miscarriage?

Hi friends -
After many months of TTC, all sorts of fertility tracking with Mira, switching to a GF diet (already have been plant-based forever) and countless supplements, - I had gotten a bfp 2 days before my missed period. I only tested early because I was SO incredibly nauseous and my boobs hurt like no other. We were so excited because I have PCOS (no insulin resistance, not overweight, no irregular cycles ever, just some cortisol and testosterone dysregulation with mild hirsutism)and subclinical hypothyroidism (T3 issues) so I always was told my chances would be slim to none.
Of course because of that, my anxiety was elevated and I focused on line progression, a lot. Every little cramp I had made me nervous, despite them being mild. Sadly I watched my lines start to fade over the week and went in yesterday for a quantitative HCG draw after some light brown spotting. I don’t have those results yet. But this morning at just about 5 weeks, I woke up to two negative tests (digital and frer with FMU) coupled with the worst cramps of my life and some period like bleeding.
Ironically, today was my intake call with the OB office, and when I answered and they asked how things were going and I told them how this morning went they responded with “oh I’m so sorry, just go to the ER” and as an ER nurse, I know that’s not really necessary. But I’m annoyed because they didn’t leave me any room to ask questions and also promptly hung up after and cancelled all upcoming appointments per my MyChart notifications. I sat on hold calling back for 45 minutes to try and get connected with someone, but gave up with the long wait.
So I’m pretty sad, to say the least, and feeling really defeated. My question is - how long after a chemical/early miscarriage were you able to conceive? I’m looking at the bright side being that at least my body could do this - since I was told forever I couldn’t. But I can’t help but wonder and hope this wasn’t a one off thing.

Does it make sense to have anxiety and feel uneasy with labs coming back in mid 200s test level everytime? Blood work below
Been on Trt for 9 Months and been dealing with anxiety and uneasiness for last 4 months… my blood work comes back mid 200s every single time I get blood work and clinic tells me it’s fine and normal everytime. I have no joy and im extremely uneasy and anxious
Im 32 280 lbs (down 50lbs since January) Diets not perfect Gym 7 days a week + cardio
Current protocol 120 mg test E 500 iu hcg
I was doing better with the anxiety and 2 days ago it hit me like a truck again…it always comes in waves I’m ok a few days then bang again. I’m starting to think I need to raise the dose or try coming off completely..I was happy and in good spirits when my test level was under 200 and I was fat. Really unmotivated right now
Any advice would help Thank you

2024.05.12 19:52 OkWolf7646 Questions about hCG injections and their impact on testosterone. is it worth it as a short term aid?

I know this isnt exactly TRT, but ive read HCG injections are common place with guys on TRT so i figured some people here would be knowledgable on it. im in my early 30s and have been monitoring my testosterone levels for a few years. I basically fall right on the borderline area of where its recommended to take TRT and as much as I want too Ive been holding out mainly because I know its a life long commitment, and my life generally hasnt been very consistent for a few years. my levels were around 550, i was in a serious accident and even after a little less than year of recovery I tested at around 250, then after 5-6 months of some serious weight lifting/exercise, supplementation and diet I was able to get up to about 350 naturally.
I still think I can continue getting my levels up higher naturally or at least am willing to try a little longer, but after continuing to suffer with some memory issues and brainfog related my previous accident on top of an ADHD diagnoses ive had since i was a kid, my doctor and I came to the conclusion that getting back on adderall again after 10 years off of it, might be beneficial for me. I was hesitant at first, but after giving it a try again it has made a tremendously positive impact on my life right now over all. that is besides the fact that I had to leave town for work for 3 months, which also turned into one of the most stressful periods of my life that also led to me taking a break from lifting and dieting. Im pretty sure my test levels tanked again, I have started experiencing ED which I know can be a side effect of adderall but I never had this problem while on adderall before the 3 month period of stress, which leads me to believe it is more related to my overall testosterone levels not just a side effect. I just got tested again, and waiting for the results, but I was cleaning my room and came across a vial of hCG I had gotten a few years ago and never used. Im really trying to dial down my diet again, and eating healthier after getting back home.
Im more open now to getting on TRT sooner, but probably not until the fall/winter at the earliest and I was wondering if using this vial of hCG might help give me a boost to jump start my testosterone production again. I was just wondering if anyone on this sub had an experience with just hCG alone, and if you had any thoughts, tips or recommendations., ive never injected anything in my life but ive seen on youtube some guys even just stick the needle in their belly, im not sure if thats the same as TRT. do you have to worry about air bubbles or anything like that? Id appreciate any responses, I know TRT especially at my age will eventually be the best option, but hCG is all I have for the time being and im not sure if It will even be worth it or not.
TLDR: been struggling with low testosterone levels after an accident and new medication, found a bottle of hCG in my room I bought online a couple years ago and never used. just looking for any thoughts and tips about hCG alone, as this is my only option for the moment, although i do plan to eventually get on trt asap.

Methyl Donors
Hi all,
I requested my DNA data from Ancestry and uploaded it into Nutrahacker. It shows that I should avoid Methyl B12 and methyl donors. My question is. What do they mean by Methyl donors? All methylated B vitamins or just methyl B12? it seems like there are conflicting recommendations.
Any input would be helpful.
Thank you.

2024.05.12 15:16 Chemical-Travel-7747 Does hcg induce endogenous estrogen production via steroidogenesis or only from aromatization?

Serious question. I'm on cot and take SSRIs now. Was on Risperdal 2 years ago so I've noticed that I'm super sensitive to estrogen in general. I get bloated more easily and get genital anesthesia from hcg usually after a month of usage. My diet hasn't changed from before though.

2024.05.12 04:59 Bitter_Cress_4656 I think I might have crashed e2?!

I recently came off of a blast of 400mg for 12 weeks about 5-6 weeks ago. I was taking .5mg adex twice a week with pins. Half way through the blast I got bloods done and estradiol came back 46 pg/ml.
Well I've found blood work from my trt dose of 200mg a week with .25mg adex twice a week with pins and my estradiol was at 25 pg/ml.
After my blast I went back to my trt dose of 200mg and like a complete idiot stayed at .5 mg adex twice a week. I don't know what I was thinking but my diet was out of control and I was drinking more than I should have due to stress from life (wife, kids, and my business).
I was having really painfull nipples for the last 3 weeks and again, like a complete moron without getting bloodwork done, I upped my adex to .75mg twice a week for one week.
A couple of days before the last .75mg dose I was experiencing crippling anxiety, brain fog, intrusive thoughts, suicidal, felt like I was sick but wasn't, overall body aches, extreme dehydration even though I drink a little more than 1 gallon of water a day.
I'm not due for bloodwork yet, but I can get some done this coming week.
Is it safe to assume I have crashed my e2? Nothing else in my routine has changed, nothing new added or taken away. I am also not on any other medications.
It's currently been roughly 10-11 days of dealing with these symptoms and 8 days since my last adex dose.
On hand I have extra test and hcg I can take. I can also get some dbol but it won't be here for a week.
What do you guys think?

2024.05.12 04:17 just_peachy777 Anyone ever get a positive after testing negative 10dpo?

For context I (24f) was diagnosed with PCOS in 2021, main probs are extremely high testosterone, high dhea sulfate, borderline high insulin, & stubborn weight gain (slower but obvious weight gain w/ no change in routine going from 100lbs to 120lbs in a few months after high school and maintained 120-130lbs but then in 2021 started to shoot from 120lbs to 190lbs in about a year & a half even after diet changes etc & have consistently been 185-190lbs (I’m 5’2) for the last year), & then obviously infertility has been a struggle.
My SO (25m) & I have put a pause on actively trying & tracking so this cycle would be more of a happy accident, however, had been on letrozole 2.5mg for three months prior & had no luck yet did have positive ovulation tests on easy@home & pregmate strips. However, thanks to inositol & prenatals my cycle has started to regulate to around 34 days in contrast to the usual 120 ish days it was before with provera needed to induce.
This is probably the first cycle I ovulated naturally in years. I took an ovulation test on a whim after we had did the deed two & three nights prior, day of peak, & day after. Well, this test I got the most blazing positive I ever had, basically became a dye stealer kind of positive. I am 10DPO right now & have had the worst cramps possible since around 6DPO. I know that can just be PMS as well but I usually don’t cramp like this. Boobs are also super sore & have been extremely nauseous but I know that’s also related to PMS & could just be a rise in progesterone since I would test positive already if HCG was high enough to produce symptoms.
I have tested stark white negative with FMU & just tested at 8pm as well w/ another negative. I took an ovulation test too as I heard w/ early HCG the tests sometimes cannot distinguish between HCG & LH so you may get a positive OPK if pregnant. I did not, also pretty faint line indicating low LH. So, for that reason I am also thinking I may be out.
I know everyone says you aren’t out until AF shows up but statistically it’s looking like I am. I just don’t understand if I got that blazing of a positive OPK & have had positives in the past & the timing is right why it isn’t happening, it just feels like my body is broken.
Also to add: I have gotten pregnant once before randomly at 20 before my pcos got worse but had a loss at 7 weeks but that has been my only instance of conception when I’ve never had protected sex in my life w/ any numerous partners I’ve had since 16. Also, my partner does have a child (2.5yo) from a prior relationship & 2 losses so I don’t believe any issues are on his end.
Anyone get a positive after a later negative or suggestions for supplements or tips for when we are ready to try again if this isn’t it? Currently taking wholesome story myo & d-chiro inositol powder, Mary Ruth’s women’s liquid multivitamin with hormonal support, 540mg maca root, 100mg coq10, smartypants gummy prenatal (bad at taking pills), & baby aspirin. Should I add or switch anything else?

2024.05.12 01:22 QuackyFace Daily should I get on TRT post (21 years old)

I know you all are probably tired of these posts, but I would like to explain my situation a little bit
Growing up around 11 after a concussion my life kinda went downhill. At ages 12-19 I was overweight then obese. Unhealthy lifestyle, addicted to computers. Freshman year of college I decided to change my life and lose weight and hit the gym. I went from 245 lbs to ~165 from age 18-19.
I have gotten decent progress with 365/260/535 lifts, but my body does definitely not show that lol.
My total test was 360 a year ago and 342 1 month after. I was retested again this February with a total of 490. I felt good at this moment with a new job and everything felt good. I am getting retested for total AND free testosterone in 1 week. I definitely do not feel as good as I did when I was at 490. From there the endocrinologist will decide if I will be able to be put on TRT.
The past 1-3 years I have been trying all kinds of methods to increase my test. Clomid (stopped due to side effects), sermorelin, healthy diet, active lifestyle, etc.
Some lab work from 10 months ago: TSH: 0.41 L LH: 12.80 FSH: 2.24 Cortisol 15.8 (has come down over span of many months) DHEA: 9.360 (has come down over span of many months) Estrogen: 19
I lean towards wanting to get on to TRT due to after 2-3 years of hard work, I am really not satisfied with how I feel and look. My father is on TRT after being diagnosed with low T decades ago. (i am not sure whether any T issues can be genetically related). I am afraid of fertility or heart issues down the line. I would like to have HCG alongside TRT to preserve fertility, but the ultimate question is.... Should I get on TRT if my results are low next week?
Obviously there is probably a lot of stuff I am overlooking or am ignorant to. That is why I am posting this here.

2024.05.11 01:18 FreeBird094 Worried

I am 4w1d pregnant today. I have PCOS and got pregnant after using Clomid. I crave sweet food these days.
Tested HCG twice and the number is fine and doubling. I used to be in a keto diet for three months but my doctor said I need to put carbs into my system "Now that I am pregnant". However, I am really worried that eating what I crave would do something to my pregnancy.
Can I eat normally?

2024.05.10 23:08 ToriLovesBlink Getting Healthy after MTX

Hi all, I am 2 weeks out from a successful MTX shot. While I am so happy my HCG levels are down to zero, I’m still struggling with being sad that I’m not pregnant, even though it was never viable.
MTX really messed me up. I struggled the first week with terrible side effects and then as soon as I was feeling better I caught something terrible and it’s knocked down pretty bad. MTX really wiped my immune system and I am wondering what others have done to get healthy again and prepare TTC in 3 months.
How much folic acid? What other supplements do people reccomend What else did people do to rid the body of MTX? Detox? Diet?

2024.05.10 01:48 huppypuppyyuppy Need Hope 2nd Euploid FET failed

I am a 34F and my husband is 35M. We have unexplained primary infertility.
We are both active and hit the gym 5 days a week and follow a healthy diet.
We tried to conceive naturally for a year and didn't get anywhere so we saw an RE and got all the tests done. Nothing of concern came up. My AMH is 4.3.
Only my TSH was high so I'm on synthroid 75mcg now.
Had a hysteroscopy done (Sep 2023) and they found a polyp so removed that.
Had an HSG done tubes are clear.
2 rounds of IUI with clomid- no success. One of the rounds we had 6 mature follicles and the cycle was cancelled. We took the risk and tried at home but no luck.
ER #1 with follistim, low dose HCG, ganirelix and trigger (Dec 2023) 21 retrieved, 15 mature, 11 fertilized, only 2 blasts. Day 5 4AB and a Day 6 4AB.
Transferred the Day 64AB one in Jan 2024 and it failed to implant. This was a medicated FET with estrogen and PIO.
Decided we should do another retrieval as we want more than 1 kid.
ER #2 with gonal F, menopur, cetrotide, trigger (Mar 2023). Unfortunately I am part of the 1% who ovulated just before the retrieval and lost about 10 eggs. 11 retrieved, 7 mature, 5 fertilized, 2 blasts both Day 7s but only one of them are a euploid 5AA.
Before going into another FET, we had a SIS done where they found another polyp so I had another hysteroscopy done in April to clear that up.
Transferred the Day 5 AB early March and just found out it didn't implant. This was a modified natural FET with letrozole, trigger and then the transfer 7 days later. I also took vaginal probiotics for a month prior to the transfer and a medrol dose pack the week leading up to the transfer.
So now we have this one Day 7 5AA embryo left. I am feeling less hopeful for this one because it's a day 7. And if that doesn't work, perhaps another ER down the road.
Any advice is welcome. what additional testing would you do? Or a different protocol for the third fet?
Anyone been through a similar situation and saw success with their 3rd FET?

2024.05.09 01:09 KavaKavoo Personal opinions (non-medical) on a certain situation?

Hello all. I know it is against the rules to ask for medical advice so I will solely be asking for personal opinions and experiences.
I am a 25 year old male who has been tested a year ago with a total testosterone level of 144 ng/dl (which my family doctor told me was normal and refused to let me see...). I have done more bloodwork and will receive the results next week.
I suffer from *all* symptoms associated with low testosterone, getting worse and worse for the past decade or so, and will, of course, go with what the specialist suggests. I have tried working on my health by changing diet, workout routine and improving my sleep, to no avail.
Still, I am still looking for education and/or opinions on the subject, such as whether this is primary or secondary hypogonadism, whether I should go straight on TRT or just HCG or none, if I should try other medications beforehand such as Enclomiphene, supplements recommendations, etc.
Thanks! I'm looking forward to reading responses.
Don't hesitate if you have any specific questions about my situation.

2024.05.08 22:35 EconomicsUnusual393 HCG DIET / INJECTION FOR WEIGHT LOSS.

Hi ! Over the past 15 years I've used HCG for weight loss about 4 times. It's a tough protocol involving a very low calorie diet and daily low dose injections for 28 days. I look at it like being on a fast. After the 3rd or 4th low calorie day I'm not very hungry and I feel GREAT ! It helps reset my thinking about food and by the end of 28 days my carb cravings are Gone.
BUT NOW I CANT FIND IT!!!!
EVERY TIME I TRY TO LOOK IT UP all I see is GLP-1 DRUGS!!!
WHAT THE HECK? Way fewer risks than OZEMPIC!

2024.05.08 15:53 Global-Elephant1189 Success after TFMR for a Trisomy

I’m new to the group so I apologize if this is a repetitive topic.
I would love to hear some success stories after having to TFMR due to a trisomy.
I just set up my preconception appointment. My TFMR was due to trisomy 13. I really wanted to know if she thought this was a one off and just bad luck truly or if I’d be better off saving and doing IVF with embryo testing. I’m just so fearful to go through this again ( I’m sure we all are ) my nurse really believes it was just a flukey thing and we are going to do IUI again. I got pregnant with my first IUI so I’m curious how long it’s going to take after the TFMR. I am going to journal my whole journey through IUI after TFMR. I was worried letrozole may have also had a hand in my trisomy but I know plenty of people who went to have healthy pregnancy’s after taking it. ( would love to hear happy stories about letrozole too )
Starting this week I’m going in each week to monitor my HCG to make sure we are trending down. Once my hormones are more balanced we will do another blood panel most likely and go from there. I just had my TFMR on 5/1/24.
She told me to stop all vitamins to let my body balance all my hormones, but in my opinion I don’t think that’s a good idea so I’m not going to lol. I have the MTHFR C677T variant. I’m taking a prenatal with L methyl folate, I’m trying folic acid as well which I didn’t take prior or during this last pregnancy. Only the L methylated version. So I’m taking both to cover my bases. NAC, Pure inositol, Pure Vitamin E, COQ10, and having more of a Mediterranean diet. Nothing too strict though just incorporating more of those foods. Any other recommendations are welcome.
Sending everyone so much healing, love, and grace trying to conceive again & those who have conceived again after doing the hardest thing they’ve ever had to do & cheers to being apart of club we never asked to join. I don’t know what I’d do without all of these support discussions. You all are truly amazing🤍
